Tell me what you like about Stanman, I only kind of get it?? I wanna hear your perspective/thoughts/headcannons

Omg sure! Okay, so I can see and like stanman in many other ways but my own intake will be in a form of healing? I like to see stanman in a situation we're they're both in their lowest, I like seeing Cartman ironically being Stan's method of healing. Cause in instances it's shown in the show that Cartman is indifferent/uncomfortable with drugs, alcohol? I take this being because of his mother. Like when Kenny is chessing or Stan's depression episode! Cartman isn't in any way comfortable seeing them act the way they act in those episodes, actually he is either dismissive, indifferent or just plain uncomfortable.

I can see Cartman developing feelings for Stan, I see him showing his concern in his own little way like "you're a pussy if you keep drinking like your dad" or "you should really quit the weed, Marsh it ain't looking good for you" these are comments for Stan to take the hint that he does NOT approve of him taking that down route.

I know it's a huge headcanon for Cartman to be just much of a high motherfucker like Kenny. And I can totally see that! But my view on Cartman is that he refuses to indulge that same type of energy just cause he's too stubborn to admit how much of the shit he took from childhood actually affected him and a slight fear of becoming his own mother. (Also Kyle, for some reason I see Kyle making a huge fuss over cartman doing any sorta drugs/alcohol compared to Kenny and Stan. It doesn't necessarily have to be in a romantic kinda way, more like a concerned friend.)

So, with that said, like I mentioned from the start both are each other's form to heal. I view Stan being the one to develop feelings first, ofcourse he isn't gonna outright say it but he'll keep his feelings tucked inside. I think he'll become a mess while in high-school, but being around Cartman just makes him feel more careless? Cartman has always been a ride or die type of guy. He knows that being around Cartman it's either gonna go south or north and he genuinely starts liking that sorta feeling on not knowing what's going to happen but he knows things will end up going okay at the end of the day.

Stan’s always worries for the future while Cartman just doesn't, he is more into living the present than to wait upon what's next. Another quality Stan likes about Cartman.

But these same qualities are the attributes Cartman hates about himself!

Stan doesn't see how these small things affect Cartman in his daily life, Cartman's carelessness will eventually strike him and he knows it!

I also see Stan having a huge breakdown if he ever caught Cartman overdosing/taking drugs, it's like some wake up call for him. He may take it if it's him but Cartman? Fuck no.

And ofcourse Cartman's soft spot for Stan plays a huge part of his concern for Stan going to the "Pc Stan route".

They're both animals lovers, I see Stan admiring Cartman from a far while he holds on to kittens. And I see Stan taking Cartman on a date to the zoo just as much as I see Stan eventually making a protest to free the animals after seeing a zoo employee mistreat one and Cartman just following along the fun.

Cartman stealing Randy's tractor and cutting all the weed down after a huge argument between him and Stan about his weed problem.

Stan making Kyle talk to Cartman for him after having argued about something stupid and Kyle reluctantly having to do just that.

Stan mimicking certain traits of Cartman and Kyle's just left dreaded in horror.

Cartman calling Stan his "boo" just to annoy Kyle, but calling Kyle his "babe" just to piss off Stan(make him jealous). And somehow Stan always blames it on Kyle.

I feel during their relationship they'll be a huge fight between Stan and Kyle because Kyle will find it the most difficult to get use to it. But they'll eventually patch things up.

This is pretty much it for what I have for them, I honestly haven't put much thought in how I see them getting together but I'm so sure that they'll be link with addiction problems/emotionally/ trauma.

Studying as much as I can (2/21)

Study time: 10 minutes

Sleep: 14 hours (waaaay too much!)

Magnesium: yay for pumpkin seeds!

Exercise: nope (fuen fuen fuen)

Vitamins: yay!

Water: 3 full bottles (1.5 L)

Ok, as you can see, I didn't wake up on time, and slept waaaay too much. To be fair on myself, I think I made it way harder by accidentaly overdosing with melatonin the night before.

It wasn't (totally) my fault! I was trying to get the recommended one drop under my tongue, and the damn thing wouldn't bulge, so I got impatient, squeezed the bottle and... almost choked on how much melatonin came out at once.

So yeah. That might explain the 14 HOURS of sleep.

Anyways, when I woke up, I tried to work on the study tips I had written before.

So, at first, I went on the internet and bought an ergonomic foot rest. I tried to make home-made options before, but this didn't work, so I finally relented and just bought one. You know what, if it saves me some pain, it will have been money well-spent.

I also got the analog hobbies list I wrote yesterday and turned it into an analog map with post-its, which I then proceeded to glue right beside my PC screen, on my study space. Take a look:

Simple, right? But functional. That way, everytime I have a break, I also have these reminders to help me take a screen break too! And it worked! During my shorter intervals I did some horizontal pull-ups and jacknife squats (thank God for Hampton and his modified exercises) and during my longer breaks I went on a walk and cooked.

The walk was great, honestly. Maybe it makes me sound like an old lady, but it was the highlight of my day. I focused on making it a "mental health walk" and not a "physical health walk". To do this, I didn't change into exercise clothes, opting to go in my shorts and flip flops (had to put on some moisturiser and baby powder so I wouldn't chaffe my thick thighs - and it worked) and walked as slowly as I wanted, focusing on things around me.

I live in a dangerous city, so, unfortunately, I couldn't go walk on the streets (at least, not with my cellphone) but my building has a good leisure area, so I walked around it several times. I focused on the plants, people-watched my neighbors, and mindfully listened to music. It was nice! Here's a picture of some flowers I found particularly beautiful:

Cooking was also fun. I didn't put on any music or podcasts, and focused on the sounds and smells of the kitchen. It was great fun, and by the end, I had made delicious dinners for me and my girlfriend.

I also did a list of some pros and cons of studying. Let me show you guys:

It will give me stability in my job (public servers can only be fired in very specific situations)

It will grant me independence

It will help me get a house of my own to decorate the way I want it

It will help me get money to give good gifts for those I love

It will help me get more time to spend on fitness

It will help me get more money to support artists through crowdfunding

It will grant me time and money to travel

I might get to know different regions of my country, depending on where I work

I also worked on making some maps with objectives I can reach. I got inspired on Tik Tok and made a flower based on the first part of my study, with 15 tasks I need to complete and a reward at the end:

Cool, right? (Ignore the McDonald's, I'm a basic bitch and it gives me childhood nostalgia while also being way too expensive where I live, so it's a good reward)

With all the work I had today, I only managed to study 10 minutes right before sleepy time, basically doing all my Anki flashcards. But you know what? It still counts!

The challenge is "studying as much as I can", and if all I had was 10 minutes and I used these 10 minutes as better as I could, I'm counting it as a success!

Which boi do you love more: Ren or Lawrence? And why? 👀

Hoo boy it's difficult to choose

Lawrence is a strange, no thoughts, head full of r̶̡̘̖͐͜ö̶̦̩̻̌ṱ̸͉̠͕̋͜, kinda man. He's someone who wants to be needed, wants to be relied on. Beneath all his anxiety, fear, and surprisingly philosophical moments is something wrong and disturbed. By all laws of nature he shouldn't exist, he doesn't want to exist.

There's something relatable about him. Lawrence reminds me of myself from around 2018; visibly mentally unwell, hesitant about even leaving the house, constantly thinking about death, no past nor future.

As for Ren, he starts out as fearful, only focused on survival, something that can only be achieved by indulging Strade, but not too often, lest he go overboard. Over time he begins to resemble his abuser, even going so far as to kidnap MC and potentially murder Lawrence (who he'd been friends with) in cold blood.

Ren's story is one of abuse, survival, and working to be better, but in order for the latter to happen, Ren needs someone to step in and break the cycle of abuse, to make him fully realize that what Strade did to him was not okay, and that he can have a future that doesn't include his former captor.

Anyway:

I love Lawrence because of how fuckin weird he is; the man has a weird urge to turn corpses into some creepy art project in the woods, he copes by overdosing on drugs and just dying for a little while. He looks totally human, but beneath his skin is just death and decay and wrongness. Lawrence is forced to live in a world he doesn't belong, pretending to be normal despite all the death and chaos around him.

Plus, uh, he apparently canonically has the biggest dick out of Gato's boys (TPOF not included).

I love Ren because of how human he is; he fights and survives and just wants someone who'll love him and stay with him. The issue is that he spent a significant amount of time as a pet to a sexually sadistic serial killer. Therefore, he doesn't fully realize how fucked up it is to kidnap someone to be his S/O / best friend, and that most people don't enjoy watching snuff films. Ren just desires normality after gaining freedom from his abuser, but he goes about it in an innocently abnormal way.

He's also surprisingly charitable when it comes to sex, hooking PC to a vibrator to thank them for making him cum.

Party favor anon, and oh yeah Daniel goes up against Sid.

And takes Johnny in. Turns out that he and Sid had a fight after Johnny told him to fuck off with his money and decided that Johnny needed a lesson. And as a fucked up power play he wanted Daniel to be the one to "be Johnny's first". Because he thought Daniel was just like him, and two birds with one stone. Sweeten the LaRusso auto deal, and fuck Johnny good.

Except Daniel comes after him with everything he's got, and it turns out that Weinberg's been losing ground in Hollywood for decades. People becoming PC, not wanting to get too into it. If it gets into the papers, Sid's had it. And that's when it really gets interesting, turns out that Johnny's friends had been looking out for him. Making Johnny document physical abuse, against him, against his mom - while she was alive. Turns out that they can give Weinberg a fucking run for his money, and Sid's freaking out because this can't be happening. What is wrong with LaRusso, why is he even thinking of going public, who would even do that for a kid they barely know

Turns out being an insane old fuck with a crumbling hold on the business can really make someone go over the edge when money can't make the problem (the fury of Daniel Larusso) go away.

It's all over the papers, Sid Weinberg overdosing on pills. They're unsure if it was accidental or suicide, but Daniel can't bring himself to care. He knows the other stakeholders at Lorimar will keep mention of Johnny out of the news to protect themselves.

Johnny gets the estate (turns out Sid never made a will because he outlasted his wife and planned to outlast her bastard son).

Johnny on the other hand is in shock. Sid's actually dead? And how he, Johnny, owns all the stuff his mom had that Sid had threatened to sell or destroy? Daniel's with him throughout, there when he crumbles in the safety of their shared living space.

And they keep dancing around each other, showing their affection in oblique ways. Johnny offers to stop being Daniel's roommate and go live at what is now the Lawrence estate. And Daniel politely but firmly tells him there's no way Daniel's gonna let Johnny live there alone like that and please Daniel has enough room. And Johnny stays, blushing but pleased.

But they're both too scared to do anything more out of respect (and nervousness). Daniel worries about looking like a creep, and Johnny worries that Daniel thinks less of him. It's only Bobby speaking to Daniel and Dutch speaking to Johnny that has them stumbling to apologize ("Johnny, I wouldn't- you're so strong, you've been so so strong throughout all of this", and "Mr. LaRusso, why would i - you've been there for me like nobody, and you, why would you... I mean look at me") until Daniel's hugging him tight and Johnny's gently stroking Daniel's cheekbones to kiss him.

so yeah they totally date, go to therapy, learn each other and do get married.

Ontario provincial election, 2022

A year until the provincial election and I have now already seen precisely two ads.

One talked about working to solve the overdose/addiction problems in Northern Ontario.

The other was a straight-up attack ad with no proposals of any kind in regards to the populace.

I can't believe I have to do this so far in advance, but here we go.

The attack ad was the PCs against the NDP. The main focus of it was "Andrea Horwath/the NDP, say one thing and do another". Classic attack ad bullshit, and a thing of which all parties are at least somewhat guilty because all of them have either, a, said things during an election they have no intention of doing just to get votes. Or b, promised things they had every intention of doing but found they couldn't do (for various reasons) once they got into office. Sometimes because it just couldn't be worked out, and sometimes because the other parties wouldn't let them work it out. That second, not being able to keep an intended promise despite trying, is not what I would classify as a broken promise. The first definitely is.

Here's where the PC party is screwing with you, and people fall for it every time.

Remember, folks, the NDP are currently the official opposition. In most ways they have no power. All this attack from the PCs about saying one thing and doing another is grossly disingenuous. The NDP literally can't do anything because they didn't form government. Let me repeat for the people in the back row who complain that all the NDP do is complain and don't do anything. They can't do anything because they don't have the power; and complaining about what the government is doing is literally their job. But when they did do the other part of their job over this past year and table motions in the house to institute, say, paid sick days, that was knocked down by the PCs a total of 26 times. I think only three of those times were motions put forward by the Greens and the Liberals. Beyond that, complaining about them not doing anything is ridiculous. Don't do it, and don't listen to people who argue with it.

The other part of this gaslight usually takes the form of how the NDP have ruined this province. Let me point out that the NDP haven't been in power in any way in this province since 1995, and 1990 was the last time they formed the opposition. There are people who like to shit on Bob Rae for his time at the helm. But I'm not going to get into that beyond pointing out that he walked into a situation with a major recession and no one would have come out of that smelling like a rose. At least his plan kept a lot of people working.

Beyond that, any problems we have in this province, any issues, can all be laid squarely at the feet of the Liberals and PCs. They're the ones that have held 99% of the power since 1867. That's a long time to get things right, and they still can't do it. PC attack ads, and Liberal strategic voting gaslights, are designed to keep you on the Lib-Con see-saw so that you don't try something new, so that you stay in the same echo chamber and no one progresses in any way at all.

As for taxation, bring it. I would far rather the NDP take my money and at least try to help people with it, than the PCs take it and disappear it down the back pockets of their developer buddies.

This really wasn't an attempt to get you to vote NDP, but more an attempt to encourage you not to vote PC (*). Vote Green if you want. The Ontario Green leader, Mike Schreiner, is a good dude, and the party's plans aren't bad either.

* Update: 2022 02 01 - By this time you're well aware that the bulk of the last two years has witnessed the spectacular failure and inability of Doug Ford and his cohorts to lead in any way whatever. If you vote PC this year, you are truly an idiot and deliberately choosing harm for people. The PCs are not capable of governance, leadership, or anything that is not self-serving. If you fall for (or choose) their crap this time around, you are a dupe of Biblical proportions, or a vicious, greedy cunt. Possibly both. This goes doubly for anyone who votes PPC.

And how does the current state of our society’s relationship with narcotics affecting our overall culture?

Although many would cite prohibition of alcohol to be the beginning of drug regulation in the United States, these measures actually began in San Francisco, California in 1875 as a way to control the spread of then popular opium dens (DEA Museum). While this was a state level action it laid the groundwork for these kinds of bans and legal actions to be taken on a federal and therefore national level.
