Shop Denim Jackets, Jeans & More by Kapital!
We try to keep our Watchlist segment interesting and diverse for you all. While deciding brands to talk about, we came across Kapital and immediately thought why they weren’t covered before. Kapital is a Japanese clothing brand, specializing in denim. While they are known for their expertise in denim Jackets, over the past many years they have diversified into other clothing lines too. Their smiley and skeleton T-shirts and sweaters are cult favourites! Toshikiyo Hirata, the man behind Kapital, went to America to further his passion for karate but ended up being introduced to denim manufacturing and instantly became interested. After leaving America, he shifted to the denim capital of Japan, Kojima, Kurashiki to study denim manufacturing. He finally opened his factory in 1984 and in 2002 was joined by his son. Under his son’s vision and the family’s advanced techniques used to create the best denim in the world, the brand has reached global popularity.
