Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Always and forever, i love the entire thing from start to finish and am of the opinion that absolutely everyone should watch it.

3 Idiots. Such a great movie, and I love everything about it. Also a movie everyone should watch.

Taare Zameen Par. This movie broke me. It shattered me. It crushed me. I cry every time I watch it, it's that fucking good.

Bajirao Mastani. The movie is historically inaccurate as fuck but the direction, the sets, the fashion, every artistic detail is just soo on point. I'm in love.

Dhrishyam is also so so amazing, i will watch it every time it's on screen. Everything is done so well with it, i could go on for days about it.

ENGLISH

Moana. I adore the fuck out of this movie fr. It's just soooo pretty, and well written and well planned and i just. I love it so much.

Frozen 1 and 2. Fr the movies of my childhood, and i am in awe of all the effort that went into making them.

what do you think the coolest thing you got to work on in the new spiderverse was? or was there anything you were completely geeked to work on/with?

definitely the coolest thing shot-wise that i got to work on was pavitr's entrance, i animated everything from when we first see him to when the camera zooms in on his face going into his comicbook backstory (this one!)

i helped with a couple aspects of pav's overall animation: his hair, his eye shapes, and playing with how he uses his bracelets in combination with his webs!

his hair is geo, meaning it doesn't get simmed by cfx because the directors wanted it to keep its graphic shape. so i designed some different hair blendshapes for modelling to create for us and worked with rigging on how to best incorporate the different shapes into the rig, then animated wind cycles for other animators to drop into their scenes. animating hair is not normally something that animators are expected to do in feature animation

his mask eyes, by default, came into shots looking very smooth and rounded. i referenced art done by one of the concept artists to give him "diamond shaped" eyes with more nicely weighted lines, along with several other library poses for animators to use so that they don't have to do all the shaping themselves (it took a long time because it required moving literally almost a hundred controls on each eye haha)

and finally, pavitr uses his webs with his bracelets to fight and get around! he uses his bracelet sort of like a spin top, keeping it spinning on his webs while standing still. i animated this first shot of him flicking it off his wrist:

my first pass on this didn't have that close up of the bracelet at first and our anim director, bob persichetti felt like we couldn't read it well enough and mentioned trying some crazier slow motion stuff like in RRR. so i went and watched RRR and immediately understood what i needed to do lol. i asked rohini kumar, another supervising animator on the movie, for some hindi onomatopoeia and she gave me this one, 'tadaak' which i'm told is sort of like a whack or pop!

has anyone ever told you, how reckless you were? they have, you just never really payed attention to them. when you saw the video of the team arriving to hotel for camp, it was excruciating to watch. how they had no security, how they were pushed or grabbed by people. the way the spanish journalists had their cameras all over them.

but here you were taking a flight, because despite having an injury, a pulled hamstring ruling you out of camp—you were still a captain of the team, you still had your duty. you hated how the federation is humiliating the players, when we demanded change.

but you were in a dilemma, if the team didn’t go, they’ll call up players from the youth levels and you didn’t want that to happen. they had less experience in these situations, so you were thankful that they didn’t get called up. the law is hard, but it is the law.

you arrived at the hotel only to see a few journalists outside waiting, but you took the back entrance avoiding the press. you didn’t want them to know about your arrival, it would cause a spark.

you were in front of alexia’s room, as you were about to knock the door swung open, revealing alexia who had tired eyes.

“amor?” she looked at you with a soft look, but you noticed the water in her eyes. you gave her a soft smile, before pulling her into a hug.

she buried her face in the crook of your neck, as she tightly grasped onto the hoodie you wore—it was hers.

“i can’t do it anymore-“ you watched as she choked on her words, it felt like she was suffocating, that there was no escape.

the image she had to uphold, the pressure from whole country relied on her, she is the la reina after all.

you hummed to a song, that you’d sing whenever it was just the two of you. it always seemed to calm alexia down, even if you didn’t have the talent in singing it still did the job.

she still trembled in your arms, as you gave her comforting pats on the back.

“i want you here.” alexia said, as she looked at you with tearful eyes. you chuckled at how cute she looked, to which she just smacked your arm. you cupped her cheeks, as you used your thumb to wipe the tears away before kissing the top of her head.

“i am here, amor. i’ll be here until you need me.” you said, as she pulled you in the room closing the door behind.

you were known as the la guardiana or the guardian. it was how you were always on guard, if a teammate was down, you’d be the first one there.

“i want your cuddles.” you hear her say, as you gave her a soft nod. placing the duffle bag on the floor, as you joined her on the bed.

you spent the whole night, cuddled in the hotel bed, watching movies you don’t understand, but you were thankful for the subtitles.

Here’s a little description of things I love and envy

I’m from the Indian subcontinent.

Spent my entire childhood between mountains and valleys. For a change shifted to Delhi which I regret tremendously.

I love farming, gardening, stitching clothes, crocheting, writing poems and maintaining a journal.

I enjoy long walks and bicycle rides.

I prefer going to a bookstore or a restaurant all by myself. I love self-dates.

I want to settle someday at an unknown meadow with mountains and lakes at a cottage core house, with big windows and minimalistic furniture with a wooden chimney, a library with some cats and the man I love.

I’m a student, fortunately academically gifted/blessed.

I did my undergrad from Indraprastha college for women under the university of Delhi in the discipline of geography Hons. Currently pursuing my masters from Jamia Millia Islamia.

I love movies; and my favourite genre is dystopian reality. So far I have watched 750+ movies which include almost every linguistic diversity as I strongly believe in the adherence of, “you can’t find gold unless you dig the dirt.”

I love reading books, like a lot. I can speak 5 different languages and out of them, 3 languages are engraved within my system. Starting from Greek Literature Iliad by Homer to metaphysics by aristotle; reading short stories of Rabindranath Tagore in Bengali as well as reciting Gazals of Gulzar in Hindi itself, I believe I have defined base in my own culture as well as to others. Again, when it comes to dystopian, I envy reading The Hunger Games and The Maze Runners. Do Androids dream of electric sheep? Comes under my top 5 dystopian reads; as this book was later adopted into a world class movie franchise called The Blade Runner. I lean towards Harry Potter more than The Lord of the Rings. I have read A song of ice and fire which people are so batshit crazy about and famously known as the “Game of thrones.” I didn’t watch a single episode but I know more than any fan I believe.

If you intervene and ask, then yeah you can think of me as a “nerd” hehehe because my preference and taste of things leans towards being more of geek tbh🩷🩷

I also enjoy watching animated series/anime and sit coms. I’m a sucker for The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon and will rewatch them for an eternity if asked. My favourite anime is Gintama but the list is peculiar and long as I have been watching anime/reading manga since I was 9 years old. My first anime was Dragon Ball z and Pokémon. I also watched Doraemon and Shinchan series/movies. The list goes on when it comes to entertainment but mine is more restricted than common which people watch out of peer pressure. so, since the DCEU is officially dead after the release of Aquaman 2, and i haven't been able to stop thinking about it and i wanna rewatch Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, i figured i might as well give the whole DCEU a proper shot since i actually haven't seen a lot of it and only bits and pieces of most of the bigger projects. anyway, seated for Man of Steel (2013) rn and little over a minute in and damn, Russell Crowe was in this??????

oh by the way, if you're curious i have seen parts of Man of Steel on TV once like a decade ago but i actually don't know much about the movie at all. i was dragged to BvS in theaters but it was a hindi dub (someone forgot to check which language they were buying a ticket for) and i remember literally nothing about the experience beyond what's become a cultural mainstay bc of the memes and discussions. i saw Suicide Squad at home and actually thought it was like decent. i saw Wonder Woman at home and enjoyed it. i saw Josstice League in theaters and thought it was meh. i saw Aquaman in theaters and loved it. i saw Shazam! in theaters and loved it, beyond the opening which i still think is stupid. i saw Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn in theaters and i still believe its the best thing the DC has done, it was actually my last movie before the panorama set in i believe but it's literally in my top 10 movies of all time rn. i didn't see WW84 or ZSJL bc i didn't have a way to nor any interest in either. i saw Gunn's The Suicide Squad and really enjoyed it but thought the script needed work, especially bc i didn't like how he wrote Harley. i then heard the Batgirl news, got pissed off at Zaslav and haven't made him a cent since nor will i. anyway, onwards to actually watching Man of Steel.
