I already made the point that while Shigaraki, Dabi, and Toga got a symbolic moment with their hero counterpart as children reaching out to them

Spinner is shown to be all alone during his moment

Initially, I made it as a sad post to highlight the fact that Spinner has no one by his side. Like "Oh how terrible it is that no one is reaching out to him to understand what caused the little kid inside him to become who he is today"

But then I noticed how different his moment was compared to the other 3 moments. He is not just alone, but also behaving differently.

Shigaraki, Dabi, and Toga are either crying or begging for help in some way as children while Spinner is cheerfully running.

(If it's supposed to be different on purpose to highlight the difference between his character and his assigned hero compared to the other 3, then that's a post a smarter person should make).

That made me realize that he is not the Spinner we should see in a moment like that.

It's this one. The poor Shuichi Iguchi who had to hide in his room to not be sprayed with pesticide for the crime of walking down the street.

And reading further ahead made me realize that he already had his symbolic moment. It's just that the "kid" version of him happened months ago.

With someone people wouldn't really call "a hero"

Shigaraki Tomura Canon Tidbits #1

Happy Halloween from this Shigaraki fan! 👻 I feel like this is an especially important time for us because, well, symbol of death and decay. He's the embodiment of spooky and I love him for it! ❤️❤️

Unfortunately, wrote smut for both of my other blogs for the time being and I'm a bit burned out. *Sigh* Will try to scribble down something but since I'm not sure I will manage to do it today...

Here's some canon Tomura tidbits! Helpful for writing, and very cute~✨

Prefers quiet atmosphere (MHUI)

Likes to be talked to with respect, despite the fact that he often doesn't return that courtesy (lol)

Surprisingly open-minded; Will listen to the point of view of others, even if he disagrees with it

Likes playing games where he can figure out the strategy and win, but will get bored if it's too easy (MHUI)

Very good at reading people

Short tempered but able to rationally think through the situation once he calms down

Obsessive about research. Kind of a workaholic if you think about it??

He itches less if he's in a situation he can control

Feeling out of control may cause him to experience traumatic flashbacks

Likes to go on walks around the city

Especially if agitated?? That's how he (sort of) deals with anger which is surprisingly healthy??

Despite that, he hated going on nature treks in Smash. May be because it was hot.

Also in Smash, Tomura seems to hate being perceived as "cute" (too bad~~)

Doesn't wear socks, as we all know

Seems to prefer verbally talking through his thinking process to sort his thoughts out, and to bounce the ideas off of someone

Likes Green Tea

Often thinks up his current philosophy on the run, and is able to argue its points without believing in it. Basically, a debate lord lmao.

Which also (along with his room being full of books) suggests that he's pretty well-read

Stays up to date with the current events (boomer newspaper Tomura supremacy)

Seems like some kind of movement helps him think - most often seen scratching himself, or just moving his fingers. Stimming Tomura confirmed??

How do you feel about the recent chapters? It's quite exciting for me since it confirmed my theories on how afo truly felt about yoichi (how he needed him more than yoichi does and only caring about him in a more personal level than garaki and tomura)

@yoichi-supremacy I just finished catching up today! And I actually have a few problems with the new chapters, like the whole thing with Eri and that theory about Tomura's Quirk being confirmed, but eh, I'll rant about that later—but yes! AFO always needed Yoichi more than Yoichi needed him (though we still haven't gotten a good look at Yoichi's thoughts about his brother beyond stopping him so that's sliiiightly more up in the air) and it's nice to have it spelled out like that :D AFO feeling love only for Yoichi and thus being rendered into a "pointless existence" by his death is obviously something I'm a fan of, given the circumstances 💅

HOWEVER. I do think something's off with the whole thing. First of all, we never get shown how the vestiges "shatter" and what that means for them. Kudo said that it means they no longer exist, but really, if they were truly dying then I think a lot more fanfare would've been made about their secondary deaths. The handwavey-ness of their disappearance combined with the fact that we don't see them shatter leads me to believe that they're not actually gone. Just like All For One's vestige wasn't truly gone when Shigaraki dusted it—and just like Tomura's vestige likely isn't gone :3 So it's interesting to hear AFO speak of losing Yoichi without seeing: 1) the loss of Yoichi by his vestige shattering, and 2) All For One's inner emotional reaction to it through his own vestige. All For One is saying these things, but we all know how reliable the truth is coming out of his mouth, right? I think his reaction would've been more extreme if he truly believed that he'd lost Yoichi completely. Plus, he did the same thing earlier when Izuku asked about Shigaraki's vestige! "He's gone and only I remain" etc etc and yet Tomura made a helluva comeback. I very much could be wrong, but I think it's a ploy to try and destroy Izuku's hope at this final hour of battle. Too bad for AFO though, our boy is the Symbol of Hope 🥰

Little jump of motivation got me:

Tomura gave a small squeak as he laid in his tree hole. He gave a small smile as he felt a movement around him and then a ticklish feeling against his cheek. His crimson eyes turned to his mate as he laid in the middle of him. His scaly tail around hum as it was curled around the moth just like him. The moth like man turned his head towards the snake. His antenna vibrated as squeaks came out of him when he pressed his fluffy body against the cool snake. "Good morning," he whispered as his fluffy white wings vibrated and filled with blood. "Do you wish to sunbathe," he asked as he rubbed his fluffy head against him with his long white hair.

"Mhm, sounds wonderful, I could use some sunlight just like you," he whispered as he kissed his cheeks and lips. The moth squeaked happily and moved to the hole and looked outside. He closed his eyes for a second before he climbed out of the hole to the thick tree branch nearby. He rested on top of it as he spread his wings and took in the warmth of the evening. Dabi did the same as he felt his body join him when he wrapped himself around the branch. The two caressed each other's hair, and while Tomura took care of his scales and ashy hair, Dabi took care of the furry mess along his face and his hair. It was their evening routine as they warmed up their bodies.

After they enjoyed the sunset together with smiles, the two moved down and started their hunt. Or Dabi started hunting while Tomura looked out and helped him and vice versa. Even if neither needed help, they just wished to spend time together. Eventually they both settled down in the moonlight as Tomura crossed his furry and fluffy white legs as the two sat together. He pealed fruits with his hands and enjoyed the closeness of his mate. The half snake took care of his long hair as he ate and braided it while humming a familiar tune and flicking his tongue. Though he did not choose to be in his more human form. He always said extra limbs were just a mess to deal with.

"Did you notice?" Tomura hummed as he looked at his lover from the corner of his eyes. "Yes," he simply answered. "I can tell the air is getting much warmer, and flowers are blooming. We may have woken up from our slumber just a few days ago... but I can tell it's soon time. You even smell sweeter," he chuckled and placed his head on his shoulder. "Yeah, I know, and my fur is getting softer, and so is my bottom," the snake gave a small grin and chuckled. "It does every year, and still you are convinced you'll conceive, but we'll end up surrounded by stones in our prepared nest while you cry about your loss."

The moth was quiet as he turned his head to him, "Do you think we...we should try again? I know we are not the most compatible, but please I," he was interrupted by his mate. "Don't think I would disagree, and even if I tried, your parental instincts would kick in just a night after we entangle in each other's presence, and you'll be convinced it worked, and you'll lay eggs and give me hatchlings."

There was silence between them once again. They both knew that they had been trying ever since the year they got mated to one another. To Dabi it had been a surprise to have a month be interested in him, especially such a beautiful one. And even more when they started courting after mating season. But ever since that event 4 years ago they both always wished to have little ones themselves. Especially Tomura or at least his parental instincts which go crazy each year. But he wouldn't complain, not when his mate looked so happy afterwards and always told him he was sure it would work next time, next time.

I know it was never gonna happen but I think it would have been cool if instead of Kirishima and Shinsou it should have been Hoseface on Gigantomachia telling AFO that that “we serve the true liberator” before tossing a mountain at him

You are so right, @plf-advisor-stan.  You have blown my mind with how right you are. Everyone look at this incredible plot we could have had. My god, that would have been so incredibly good.

I wanted—so, so wanted—for Gigantomachia to have an actual character arc about choosing between Old Master and New Master.  He loves AFO so dearly, of course, far more than he does Shigaraki, but AFO transparently doesn’t care about his minions once he’s had his use of them,[1] whereas Shigaraki’s care for his team is repeatedly shown in scenes like him remembering Mr. Compress’s desire for sushi or reflecting out loud that he wants his comrades to get what they want.

There’s obviously a difference in the levels of Shigaraki’s regard for the League and for the rest of his followers, but all the same, I can’t imagine a Shigaraki who’d gotten to spend any significant time with Machia as a follower being willing to leave him in the dust the way AFO does in Jakku—indeed, calling the lonely Machia back to him is one of the first things Shigaraki does after getting out of the tube.  Shigaraki wouldn’t have left Machia alone in the mountains for 15+ years if Machia didn’t want to go, either.

Machia, as he was originally written, was not a mindless Noumu.  He spent the entirety of MVA vehemently not blindly submitting to Shigaraki because it’s what AFO wanted him to do, but rather testing Shigaraki’s worthiness, telling Shigaraki the kind of master he, Gigantomachia, would bow to, and insisting that Shigaraki rise to that level.  Shigaraki did, and Machia accepted him—it’s such a letdown that all of that effort on both their parts has, thus far, come to nothing.  Machia chose Shigaraki as his master once.  He deserves the chance to do so again.

And, of course, the same goes for the erstwhile MLA.  All that bleeding Shigaraki did, all the work the League put in while he was in the tube, and we just get nothing at all about what the PLF think about being repurposed to serve AFO.  Good lord, the higher-ups were so open about their disdain for the League when they thought they were just villains with no larger goal for societal reform, but how does their vision of liberation work at all with AFO at the helm?  As recently as Chapter 363, Skeptic—who’s nominally still giving the PLF remnants their marching orders!—spoke rather dismissively of AFO, instead citing Re-Destro’s desires, Shigaraki Tomura’s interests, and the intent to bring about anarchy that would contain neither heroes nor villains.

AFO is, consciously and intentionally, the ultimate villain.  And even if we’re meant to believe the MLA is all about the quirk supremacy,[2] it’s not like AFO’s even doing a convincing job of being An Strongest, given that All Might has defeated him twice!

The MLA never chose AFO as a leader; they followed Re-Destro in choosing Shigaraki.  It’s maddening that the story seems to want me to view that loyalty as so interchangeable.

Anyway, yes, your scenario is good and you should feel good; A++ thanks for sharing it with me, and it’s my pleasure to share it with my followers.

This is amazing. I love it. Like the fact that he is pulling Tomura closer and the Nomus. The fact that it still looks somewhat like a brain. The fact that Tomura looks so scrawny and everything. And also the way darker and duller colors compared to the original.
