Yes hello, at the time you submitted this, my requests were open. Currently, they are closed, however. As a goth myself, I support this request! Let's get to it! I love support for minor characters.

Fumikage admired your style. The way you integrated black, red, and purple into your outfits was astounding. The lace, velvet, and elegant embroidery that composed your clothing had him speechless. Not to mention that perfect touch of make up that made his feathers stand on end.

You matched perfectly with his own dark aesthetic and shared interests. He found himself falling for the mysterious aura that surrounded you, and perhaps it was shameful to admit, but it was the very thing that made him eager to learn more about you.

"What!? Are you nuts man? Y/n is more intimidating than Bakugou!" His friends quickly dismissed the idea of him befriending you, but even if what they said was true, he sensed kindness deep within you. "I would prefer to find out myself, thank you," he wasn't going to be persuaded otherwise.

The two of you favored venturing to the library and on occasion, Fumikage would find himself engaging in conversation over horror stories and spell books. The two of you shared recommendations of reads, and he found himself at ease, even when he introduced you to Dark Shadow who tried his best to behave.

Like with his appearance, he noticed the stares and the unjust comments others would make about you. "I would like to ask you to stop speaking in such a way about Y/n," was his way of putting a gentle stop to it. Even if he was laughed at in response, Dark Shadow usually managed to scare them off.

You continued to surprise him with your unexpected kindness like bringing him his favorite snacks or little Wiccan gifts when he was feeling down. Dark Shadow would sometimes get jealous of the attention you gave Fumikage, so you'd usually make it up to him by spending time cuddling.

"I...hope this is acceptable to you," he panicked the first time he insisted the two of you take a late-night stroll. Even with the dim streetlights, he thought you looked like a beautiful God or Goddess who shared his love of darkness and seclusion.

At times, you'd get tired of the way people looked at you or ran away when you happened to walk by or be in the area. Their taunting whispers and fear of you just because of your outward appearance got old sometimes. But Fumikage was always there, acting as a pillar of unwavering support on the days you struggled, and was ready to face any form of darkness with you.

"I...I..." he was in shock the day you brought up adopting a pet and a little offended that you'd want a pet raven. Dark Shadow managed to talk you out of it. "What are ya nuts!? Fumikage tell them you're all the bird they'll ever need!" Although those words made him blush, he did agree. He wanted to be the only feathered creature you had feelings for.

Gothic-themed gifts were a priority for Fumikage, and he'd often shower you with vintage jewelry or darkly romantic gifts like black flowers. He hoped they served as a reminder of the darkness the two of you adored and the affection he felt for you.

"It would be an honor if you joined us," one of your favorite things to do with Fumikage was spooky movie nights. The thrill of watching horror movies while cuddling your feathered sweetheart was joyful. Although most of your classmates declined the offer to join the two of you.

Despite your intimidating appearance and the occasional feeling of not belonging, you realized what you and Fumikage had was special. Two souls finding each other amid darkness was beautiful, and the unique bond you had was certainly reminiscent of true love.

summary: You, the mother of Fumikage Tokoyami, are just a simple nurse! Who caught the eye of a certain pro.

It was about a week later when you walked into the hospital.

The nurse eyed you suspiciously when you first asked for hawks, a few people probably come in every week trying to get into some hero’s room. You’ve seen it yourself too many times to count.

After clearing up that you actually do know hawks in a more- romantic way. She explained that only close family would be allowed in his room.

So you lied straight to the nurses face, then she told you his room number.

Fumikage wanted to see Keigo- so he would, doesn’t matter if you had to lie a little to get in.

The hospital was less crowded than when you first walked in, the surrounding area was in ruins. If you looked around enough you could see the destroyed buildings and homes, it was just pure destruction.

You open up hawks door, it’s really only a single bed in the corner, with a bedside table and an empty vase. Of course there was the normal hospital equipment surrounding him including a large mask covering the lower half of his face.

His eyes were still closed when you walked closer to the bed, you were holding on Fumikage, your hand comfortably sitting on his shoulder as some form of comfort.

You patted it apologetically, “I’m sorry that you have to see your mentor like this.”

Fumikage looks over to you, his eyes more dark due to his lack of sleep.

Hawks would be a little upset if he found out Fumikage took back his spot on the bed.

Fumikages voice is slightly strained as he replies to you, “he’s your boyfriend, shouldn’t you be upset?”

“I need to be strong for my boys don’t I?” You say calmly.

Fumikage didn’t want you to feel like you had to say strong, you could be weak if you wanted to be.

Fumikage watched you place new flowers into the vase that used to be empty, hawks never spoke about what his favorites were so you just picked the prettiest you could find.

Hawks seemed to be sleeping for the time being, you were fine with that but Fumikage look unsatisfied.

Your voice is quiet and soft, “I’ll bring you back another day, don’t error Fumikage.”

Fumikage only nods when he then makes the way to the door, his movements are sluggish.

You stay for a moment, looking over hawks and his state. His hair is shorter and you can see a healing scar peeking through his mask.

with a deep breath, you finally leave the room but it was unsuccessful due to a body hitting yours.

Whoever bumped into you grabbed you by the shoulders to prevent your fall.

You look up only to see Mirko! Without a leg…what in the world is she doing out of bed?

“M-Mirko?” You yelp.

Mirko giggled loudly, “my favorite nurse! How’s it going?”

Your eyes worriedly look back and forth to her face and then towards her missing leg, “oh- I was just visiting keigo.”

Mirko cocks her head slightly in confusion, “Keigo?” But then she makes a long ‘oh’ when she realizes.

“Old Hawkey hm, How’s he doing?”

“He’s sleeping.”

Mirko tsks lowly, letting go of your shoulders to hold onto the wall.

You excuse yourself, you and Fumikage needs to get home or else he’d miss dinner.

“I hope for a swift recovery for you Mirko.” You bow.

Mirko laughs, “oh please- this makes me stronger.

Mirko watched as you and Fumikage walk off towards the lower levels of the hospital, snickering lightly before busting into hawks room.

Hawks doesn’t move.

“I know you’re not sleeping.” Mirko says loudly.

Hawks opens one of his eyes, scowling.

He raises one of his hands, then acts as if he’s turning down the volume of something’s. He’s telling Mirko to shut up before you hear her.

Mirko walks over and smacks his hand lightly, “speak bird, how ya feeling?”

Hawks looks over towards the window, shrugging.

Mirko groans and grabs a device next to hawks, “use this for gods sake, the nurses gave you it for a reason.”

Hawks grabs the device, typing on it furiously until a robotic voice comes out of his mask.

“Get out my room, Mirko.”

Mirko scrunches her face, “did you say that to your lady too?”

Hawks shakes his head softly, “I was pretending to sleep.”

Mirko scoffs softly, “and that is..? You ‘fraid she’s angry with you?”

Hawks nods softly, his eyes looking sadly downwards.

Mirko laughing loudly until her coughing stops her, she clears her throat to continue talking.

Mirkos voice is clear as she speaks, “And why would she be so angry with you, cause you did your job?”

Hawks doesn’t answer, he only looks out towards the window.

Mirko hums softly, she sorta understands? But not to the point that she can actually give advice on the subject.

Mirko leans her weight onto the bed, “You know you’ll have to face her at some point right?”

Hawks shakes his head, typing quickly into the device.

“I can ignore her for my entire life if I have to.”

Mirko scoffs, making a buzzer noise, “wrong, yknow she’s the one that your gonna be discharged to right?”

Hawks suddenly stays still, thinking over the little piece of information Mirko gave him.

Mirko chuckles softly at the silence hawks is giving.

Hawks starts to type quickly onto the device, but when the robotic voice comes out it’s a mix of different words and sayings.

the idiot typed so quick that he couldn’t even spell anything correctly.

Mirko scratches the back of her neck then stands up from the chair, “I’m just gonna let your deal with it yourself man.”

Hawks starts to frantically wave his arms back and forth, trying to make her stop leaving from the room.

Mirko laughs evilly as she walks out, leaving a freaked out hawks in the hospital room.

Now the only thing he can look at other than Mirko is the vase of flowers you left for him, and a red card next to it.

Hawks reached over to grab it, pealing open the envelope gently.

It was a letter- well it was more like a note almost. The words were simple, but they stil held weight to hawks.

“Get well soon, can’t wait to have you back home.” -Love Y/N & Fumikage.

Hawks could feel his heart clench, home. He’d like to be back home but you accepting him into was out of his mind.

He thought you’d be furious with him.

Why aren’t you?

Then the next week, the week that hawks was released to you, rolled by quickly.

Hawks was kinda of excited to see you again, the previous days only Fumikage visited.

And would also not say a word about you, much to hawks dismay.

But now hawks could be reunited with his love, his forever mate! Well not yet but- you!

And when he walked down the hall towards the entrance of the hospital, he had a pep in his step.

Then he saw you.

You looked tired but it didn’t affect your beauty in hawks opinion.

Hawks almost skips over towards you but he holds back, instead walking over calmly with a pleasant look on his face.

Yet when he stood infront of you, you barely reacted- hell, you didn’t even look happy.

Hawks opens his arms hesitantly, silently begging for a hug from yo-

*SMACK!*

…did you-

Did you actually just slap him?!

Hawks looks towards the ground for a moment until whipping his head only to see a shocked Fumikage.

Hawks hears your voice, “That’s what you get for scaring me.”

Then he feels your warmth enveloping him, you hug him tightly.

Hawks stays still for a moment due to the whiplash of your emotions but he quickly hugs you back almost tighter than you did.

You were warm, and so was the drive back home.

Fumikage didn’t even complain that hawks was all over you.

When hawks walked into the house, it was warm too, mostly because the oven was on but he felt out in his heart too.

You made his favorite, he could hear the happiness in your voice when you told him.

And the food was warm too.

and so was your bedroom, hawks missed that bed.

Hawks plummets face first into the nest, nuzzling softly into the fluffly blankets and pillows.

Hawks could hear a bag rustling behind him, presumably the one the hospital gave you.

It was filled with creams and medicine that would either make his body heal quicker or helped with the pain.

He can barely hear your voice when you speak, but his ears perk up when he makes it out.

“Take off your shirt, Keigo.”

Hawks head rises from the bed, his voice is raspy as he tries to make some witty remark, “trying to get your hands on me already?”

You scoff softly with a smile on your face, “no- I’m trying to put the cream on your back.”

Hawks pouts as he rises as slips his shirt over his head, it was painfully enough for him to wince but not enough for him to make a fuss over.

He can hear you gasp quietly, and now he wishes he could put his shirt back on.

He can feel the bed dip with your weight on it, “well look at that.” Your voice is almost non audible.

“I didn’t expect your wings to be growing back.”

Hawks cranes his head over to face you, “uhm- yeah the doctors told me they would.”

You rub on the small nubs softly, “do they hurt?”

Hawks winces in pain but also a small bit of pleasure-nope, he’s not getting into that right now.

His voice is hoarse as he responds, “A little”

You hum softly before taking your hands off of him, then opening up one of the larger contains of medicine.

“It might be a little cold”, you say before putting on a generous amount onto his back.

You can hear him take in short breaths of air, mumbling quiet ouches.

When you’re done, hawks lays back onto the bed on his stomach. His eyes squeezed together.

You glide your hands through his shortened hair, trying to take in his newer scars and bruises.

Hawks croaks out a small question, “think I’m ugly now?”

You smack his head gently, “you shouldn’t be talking, your voice is messed up as is.”

Hawks face doesn’t change, “do you?”

“No, your still pretty hawks.”

Hawks looks away from you, “liar.”

You sigh softly, bringing him closer. You kiss his temples softly, “I think I like this look better Hawkey.”

Hawks chuckles softly, “really?”

You kiss his nose, “really.”

Hawks nuzzles his nose into your neck, you could make out his breath slowing down.

You continue to glide your fingers through hawks hair until hawks grab your wrist, pulling your away.

Your face scrunches in confusion.

“The war isn’t over.”

“I don’t want you to fight.”

Hawks sighs softly, “it’s my job.”

“Then quit.”

Hawks opens his eyes to look at you, his brows furrowed.

“You know I can’t do that.”

“You could.”

Hawks voice attempts to increase in volume, “Y/N I have to, I need to protect them people I promised to protect.”

You sigh softly, “fine, but if I see you in the hospital like that ever again- I don’t know what I’d do to you.”

“Would you be angry?”

“I’d be livid.”

Hawks hums, then looks away from your stare before asking his next question, “would you still like me?”

Suddenly your stern face breaks as your start to laugh, “Keigo, I am in love with you.”

Hawks blushes when he looks back at you, letting go of your wrist to hide his face away in the pillows.

You voice is sweet as you speak to him, “kei, I think you amazing. You’re perfect for me, or at least much better than any other guy I’ve liked. I wake and I see your face and I can literally feel my heart expand.”

Hawks raises his blushing face from the pillows to kiss you, over and over.

“You’re such a weirdo.” He mumbles out between kisses.

Then when he stops, “you know what the hospital told me?”

“What?”

“They said that my “gorgeous wife” came to visit while I was resting.” He grins at the end of the sentence.

You groan loudly and flop onto your back, “ugh- that lady wouldn’t let me if I didn’t say that!”

Hawks chuckles lightly, “I wouldn’t mind you being my wife.”

You let out a small laugh, “you into marrying so young?”

Hawks face steels as he rests his head onto your chest, “Y/N”

Your raise your head up, “hm?”

“Marry me.”

Your face starts to burn, “Keigo-“

“A-after everything calms down, of course.” He stutters out.

“I mean…would you really wanna deal with Fumikage for so long?” You try to joke, deviating from the topic.

“Well id deal with a lot more chicks if you would say yes.” Hawks says dead serious.

You smack him lightly, “Keigo!”

Hawks chuckles lightly, “I mean I’m telling the truth!”

You peck his lips before hugging him.

Hawks leans into the embrace, chirping happily.

Hawks voice is soft when he speaks up again, “well, what do you say?”

You smile gently at him before responding.

“Of course, Keigo.”

Loosely based on "A Gilded Cage is Still a Cage" by @cuspidgoddess (great work! I enjoyed it)

[Long; tldr at the bottom] Thoughts while I drew this, and disclaimer: I'm no author, just someone who can't shut up sometimes when inspired

Family LoV and complicated relationship with the HPSC. Not quite bashing like in the fic, but still shady and contributed to Keigo's lack of self-worth and tendency to keep a tight leash on his more mutant instincts until Tokoyami and the league encouraged him out of it.

Dabi spoils him and calls him pretty bird. At this point, it's a dabihawks headcanon that I'm sticking to.

searched google: "do hawks mate for life?" Answer: if conditions allow, then yes. OKAY THEN. Noted

It's hard to say what the future will hold what with Keigo's life being a complete mess, but he's willing to latch on to Dabi for as long as he's allowed to. Forever, preferably. If the way he melts into putty under Dabi's hands instead of flinching away from it is any indication. Tokoyami being the first person he allowed himself giving physical affection to and that was more of a paternal connection than the fluttery feeling he gets whenever he thinks of Dabi's blue, blue eyes.

Been enchanted with him since the early days when they've first met and Dabi finally looked at him with a less wary/hostile gaze. When the moonlight glinted onto his staples just right (blame his bird fueled fascination with shiny things), and the low, albeit sarcastic croon of acknowledgement from the man, he was completely gone. The chirp -with a pathetically pinning lilt to it- that rose out of him in response was embarrassing but worth it when it made Dabi chuckle.

He'd totally understand if Dabi woke up one day and decided he was more trouble than it was worth though. No, really. He'd probably cry and hopefully not pluck too many of his feathers again out of stress but he'll live. He's made of sterner stuff, been trained to handle sterner stuff. It's fine.

His handlers have always commented on how troublesome he was when they thought he couldn't hear him. The league told him they were lying though, that he was perfect just as he is and, obvious and ironic circumstances aside, made a great hero, but surely there was a kernel of truth to it? Not all of it could be lies.

Someday, he doesn't know when, but someday for sure, the growing affection he can see in Dabi's eyes will fade away and would be laced with annoyance the way some of the few, nicer handlers had during his brief time with them training pre-debut. It's inevitable.

Maybe Dabi would get annoyed with his constant chirping, trills and whistles. Maybe he'll get tired of seeing his bedroom cluttered with trinkets Keigo would collect, his closet with a significant amount of clothes missing and said clothes occupying the bed, arranged in a way that soothed Keigo's brain but probably disgruntled and looked like a mess to Dabi even if he didn't show it. Maybe he'll get tired of lugging him around and then tell him to use his legs or wings when both are perfectly functioning and aren't there for decoration. Keigo just can't help that he likes being carried around sometimes. Dabi indulges it but surely, he'll eventually reach his limit? Maybe he'll scratch Dabi's sensitive skin by accident too many times with his talons and stupid inability to NOT grip on things whenever he's excited or stressed and get a face full of flames for it. Honestly, he's surprised it hasn't happened yet considering how the man acts with other people.

Dabi's gentleness with him? Probably a fluke that wouldn't last. He figures he just looks too pathetic to get angry at. He figures the rest of the league view him similarly too and indulges him the same way one would indulge a stray, enough to feed it and keep it warm a few times but will ultimately move on to live their lives. Never mind that he's there to "spy" on them when he's doing a trash job at it. They probably already know but indulge him anyway out of pity. Whatever it is, Keigo is still grateful with the attentiveness and care they've showed him so far but will back away once he sees that he's overstayed his welcome.

At least he still has Tokoyami by his side who looks up to him and sees him like an older brother, maybe even a parent. Enhanced because of the mutant bird traits they share and the loneliness Tokoyami would see hidden underneath Keigo's smile.

Sometimes Tokoyami is swept up by Keigo's cheerful public persona when they're both out patrolling the streets and being bombarded by people, admittedly gets annoyed by it when sweet, doting Keigo turns into Hawks and makes him run after the hero like the early days of his internship when they weren't as close and misunderstandings were everywhere. But then he'd remember the sad tilt to his expression and the crushing hug before leaving with a red feather tucked into his pocket whenever they have to separate at any length of time. His own loneliness at not having anyone to welcome him back home making his and Dark Shadow's heart hurt.

Tokoyami still doesn't know what to make of Keigo's relationship with the league, dreads the aftermath of it all really if it turns sour (Dark Shadow is more optimistic than him and calls him out for his paranoia), but he'll always be in Keigo's corner. Just give him a few more years and he'll be strong enough to protect Keigo against any villain or hspc-shaped threats on his own and from the shadows, although he'll grudgingly allow Dabi to get a few hits in since it seems like he'll be a more permanent fixture in their life if the man has anything to say about it.

tldr: ooc fluff, LoV as family. not quite HPSC bashing but close, Birdbros, or in this au, more of a parental connection between Keigo and Tokoyami because *instincts*. Google says that hawks mate for life if the condition allows it and Keigo just so happened to find said mate in Dabi, a Dabi who spoils him, calls him pretty and likes to run his fingers through his feathers. HOWEVER, Keigo is sad, insecure and blind to the idea that whatever he has with Dabi (and the league) will last and will continue to latch on to them until he feels like it's no longer welcomed. -insert unreliable narrator angst fest here- Jokes on him because Dabi would gladly burn the whole world for him if he asked but is curbing the idea because Keigo still wants to save people and his pseudo son Tokoyami is a fledgling hero. Dabi's youngest brother is also a fledging hero but he'd really like not to think about that too much.

Teachers Kid pt 2: Meeting the class

"Ua high.." you thought to yourself while standing in silence staring in wonder at the gate it was so much larger than on TV you kept staring blankly until your dad snapped you out of your thoughts "So are you just gonna keep standing there or are we gonna go in" he teased you did a playful glare at him he chuckled in Respond the two of you want to the gates at the entrance were waiting for a small mouse it had a big scar on his left eye wearing a suit smiling warmly and there was

"Greetings y/n l/n and welcome Ua" He held out his hand as you both shaked "I heard lots of things about you I'm sure you're gonna like it here and your classmates I heard they're eager to meet you" Nezu excitingly said

You smiled excited to be here Aizawa forming a small smile under his scarves glad that the 2 of you were getting along,

You arrived at the classroom you heard a mix of yelling chattering and talking when Aizawa and Nezu walked in 1st everyone stopped what they were doing and it became quiet "Class I would like your attention please we have a new student you'd like to meet" Aziawa motioned you to come here you took a deep breath and walked up to him and Aizawa placed his hand on your shoulder "Class this is y/n Aizawa my child"

As you were getting bombarded by a bunch of questions by your classmates trying to answer one by one your dad was getting jealous and also mad at the old Questions he doesn't look that old right? (yes yes you do) "Alright class I think you asked enough questions kid go to your seat by the red haired kid right there" Kirishima exictidely raised his hand to signal where you were while the rest of them whined a bit wanting to sit right next to you

At hero training, you were doing stretches and getting ready for the sparing you tsuyu was gonna be ur training partner the two of you were having it out tsuyu managed to get a few hits on you but you were able to tackle and pin her down with ease

"sorry if I went to hard on you" you handed her your extra water bottle tsuyu and started at you what felt like forever admiring you beauty even if you were sweaty she snapped out of her thoughts and took the water bottle "T-Thank you *Kero*" "hey you're that frog girl tsuyu right? Ur quirk is so cool!" tsuyu was literally turning red you were so cute and you called her coll you were gonna kill her before the heat did the two of you began to talk about your favorite interest and hobbies etc the more you and her talked the more interested and obsessed tsuyu became wanting to know you more and more

At lunch, you were walking around to see if there was an empty seat nearby but a bit with a blackbird head motioned you to come sit with them "Wow thanks! You must be tokoyami, Shoji am I right?" the boy was shocked but nodded "Yes I am and this is Dark shadow" a bird-like shadow emerge from behind his back giving you a friendly wave "Heyo! Woah is that the teacher's kid you've been blushing about?" Tokoyami blushed telling Dark Shadow to shut it you chuckled

After that day forwards you met and formed a bond with each of your classmates and some teachers

Kirishima was your hype man he tries to act so tough and cool around you but inside he's a lovesick puppy who always admires you blushing when you're near he always encourages you to follow your dreams he even kept anyting you drop to be pit in his collection

Momo loves to spoil you even without mountains of expensive gifts she always wants to take you out somewhere weather be the mall or somewhere you like it doesn't matter she just wants to be the two of you and if anyone tries to join as well she'll decline at 1st but if you want them too then it's ok just don't expect her to be moody the whole time

Bakugo always tries to tease you and mess with you cause he doesn't know how to show positive feelings toward people so he often messes with you or insults you but not too hard as the other and if anyone even agrees with his insult then he'll threaten them to fuck of the always force you to sit near him whenever your hanging out with the bakusquad saying he doesn't want you to catch his group's "dumbass behavior"

hori constantly acts as if he isn’t the writer and has full control of the story and it pisses me off to no end. gonna drop some examples below. these are from the street wear profiles from the manga.

sen kaibara - “I love his Quirk, so I can’t wait to portray it more.” he’s acting like something/someone is actively holding him back from doing so.

tetsutetsu tetsutetsu - “I hope I get to show him in action more.” once again, acting like something is stopping him. side note, why tf did he give him that name. it’s just so lazy. and it’s not even funny. just annoying to say and annoying to write.

hanta sero - “He’s mostly just for one liners in the background, but he’s a good guy, and I’d like to feature him more. At some point. For sure.” and then proceeds to never do that.

this might just be me being bitter abt all the amazing characters he’s completely disregarded and disrespected. this might just be me not understanding what it’s like being a mangaka. but it still bothers me.

i just hate how he’s created this insanely interesting world and amazing characters and never expands on anything bc he’s too busy sucking bakugos dick.

There could be something to be said here about how the editors may have had a hand in Hori not exploring all the characters he may have wanted to.

But, even if that is the case, not all of the blame would rest on them.

Hori clearly did not plan ahead for a lot of MHA. He is very good at coming up with good character designs and concepts as well as bringing life to them but seems to be at a loss after that is done. The cast bloating is key evidence of this.

It is sad to see all these interesting characters be swept to the wayside in favour of Bakugou, who by contrast brings nothing of interest to the table.

Bakugou is a narcissistic abuser in my opinion. He uses cruel nicknames, not as lighthearted jibes, but to bring others down - especially his friends.

Other than the instances you mentioned, I want to bring attention to one that belongs to Bakugou's supposed best friend, Kirishima, who he calls only "shitty hair." We learn in his backstory that Kirishima changed his hair to be like his idols as a symbol of his growth prior to U.A. Therefore, being continually called "shitty hair" would hurt Kirishima deeply. He also tells Bakugou to stop, and yet Bakugou does not care.

The time I can think of when Bakugou called someone their actual name is that time he used "Izuku" instead of the usual "Deku" slur. And even that is bad because instead of asking for the right to call Izuku by his first name, usually reserved for close family, Bakugou just does it.

Typical narcissistic, entitled and stagnant Bakugou. We hate to see it.

I wish Hori didn't waste so many manga panels on this idiot.

Tokoyami and dark shadow have loved all might from a young age as most children have although their reasoning is a bit different from others. All Might is completely terrifying. He sends fear into hearts of villains and is like a god amongst men, a creature of vengeance and justice. His devastating power holds the potential for great destruction but he wields it with such precision and control that he can use it help others. He also has a good sense of humor XD When tokoyami says all might is “like a god” he means it literally and thinks of him as a god and treats him as such. His opinion changed after seeing him in person and realized he’s just a guy but for a long time he was a really big inspiration for tokoyami and shadow for what kind of hero they want to be. He is like their second favorite hero after dark crystal.

Due to this hero/god worship they were very nervous about talking with him one on one just because they didn’t want to make a fool of themselves. When all might gave them that hug during the sports festival it meant a lot and they were secretly fanboying I’m sure of it. Obviously he also gave tokoyami the advice to train his body as well and I mean if all might was the one telling him to do it he sure as hell isn’t going to let him down.

Tokoyami was obviously shown to be very animated when All Might was fighting AFO. He has a great deal of faith in the symbol of peace that it broke his usual emotional composure, he must have been very worried about him.

While all might is definitely focused on Midoriya and needs to learn more teaching skills he’s definitely good at being uplifting and encouraging to his students. Most people forget all might made midoriya a personalized work out plan so he actually knows a lot about how to help other people train their bodies. He probably made work out routines for all of his classes best suited for their fighting style and matching their quirks abilities. Tokoyami definitely focuses on core and leg workouts because he fights with his legs and needs to hold himself up when shadow is carrying him.

You would have to be completely blind to miss the power dark shadow has. Toshinori certainly catches on and is very interested in Tokoyami’s potential, the more he watches though the more interested he becomes by picking up on dark shadows behavior as well. Dark Shadow acts very different from Tokoyami, they laugh at his puns and jokes, they are playful and energetic while tokoyami is serious and refined. Sentient quirks are quite rare, especially not when he was born since only 50% of the population had quirks at all back then, but dark shadow is on a whole other level of “alive”. While most people his age would laugh off the idea of a truly sapient quirk toshinori isn’t your average man and takes it in stride. He awkwardly goes about trying to bond with these strange birds (including embarrassing himself with misconceptions but he is really trying) and dark shadow is delighted to have THE All Might’s attention.

I don’t think there is anything monumental about their relationship, it’s just all might being a true hero to everyone he meets and inspiring them. He talks to tokoyami about his health at one point and how it’s important to take care of his emotional and physical needs. If he keeps pushing himself too hard, he will just burn himself out. Tokoyami was so determined to become faster (like hawks) he forgot to slow down and prioritize himself over his work. He will do well to remember this from now on.

I really love All Might and I want tokoyami to interact with him more so much! I want to see him and shadow making dad jokes and tokoyami suffering from them.

I will say as a writer, I have experience with 'my characters have a mind of their own' and that through writing our plans have to change because the characters adapt more, but I will also say that Hori dropped the ball BIG TIME.

I am firmly of the belief that he had to have been pushed into making some choices by the publishing company because like... dude! You have so much cool stuff and you focus on Bakugou? The 'rich kid with superiority/inferority issues' you find in every drama?

All the insults is just another tick in the 'let's be honest no one would like this guy in real life' column, and it is so fucking funny to me that people try to romantisize that shit. Hell, look what everyone does to the name Deku.

Hawks Essay Time!

This one is an analysis on Hawks' playfulness, as shown by Team Up Missions vol 22! As much as fanon falsely portrays him as this promiscuous playboy (as we've all seen, I'm sure), there's also a part of the fandom that forgets that Hawks is quite quirky and cheeky, despite his seriousness at his core. And I'm not sure I agree with the idea that people write that off as simply part of his "act" or "hero persona." I've also seen some misinformation that because of how he gets when he works, that it must mean he is "cold."

So! After the mission where he does most of the work quickly, he decides to go home and rest for the day, and the kids ask to go home with him. He says yes, then does this.

Now, here is where I'm drawing your attention. Hawks is very cute about it, treating it almost like a game.

Notice his wording. He answers that he's "playing tag." And check his body language when he's in his element, especially in the cute little panel where he waves backwards, saying "laters!"

Now, this page below here is very important. Notice how he immediately goes into contemplative mode the second he's alone? He perches up high, his smile fades, he puts his hand over his mouth, and he thinks alone. Yet, the thought is still "maybe I should show myself to them a little." It's still about how to keep the chase going.

Remember: Hawks tends to be most genuine and true to himself when he is alone (though he is also genuine in many other situations, like the Lady Nagant scene, around Endeavor at times, etc).

It's a game of cat and mouse that isn't just for fun per say. It's deliberate to a goal of teaching, but Hawks has stated before he's "not especially interested in nurturing the next generation or anything." Yet he banters with Deku and Mineta. He does care about the kids, and wants them to grow as heroes (he's very pleased when Tokoyami flies after him when the chase starts, saying "that's more like it"), but he's not like other pro heroes who would either instruct/train them or push them vigorously.

He's playful about his methods! That is the point here!

I would also be remiss to not add this for context: at the end, they all have a talk about Hawks' house (the comission sponsored one, not his real home). Deku catches the way he says "it's not like I come home often anyways" and thinks "he's actually very strict with himself". Though, this is definitely more geared toward the conversation of his work ethic/free time/facade of a "laid-back, carefree" persona. It's still crucial insight after the entire chapter.

While Hawks' actions are deliberate, I genuinely do not believe that all of his quirks and banter is an act, or a means to an end. It wouldn't make sense to his character for him to act playfully simply to achieve some result that he could achieve faster with other methods. I believe it to be a reflection of his wit and "bird-like" oddities, as well. Hawks is resilient, optimistic, and carries with him a childlike wonder and spark that has been shown multiple times.

Yes, he is quite serious; but a duality exists in many avenues with Hawks, and this is one of them.

Top 10 mha characters I think are underrated

10 - Mustard. I love mustard, I know there’s a group of people who love mustard, but there’s not enough content of him for the rest of the fandom to love him too. If anyone has any mustard headcanons, throw them at me. Right now.

9 - the girls of class 1-A. The only reason they’re at 9 is because, out of everyone on here they’re probably the least underrated. But I swear we’re sleeping on all of them. Putting them individually would take up too many spaces but each and every single one of these girls own my heart.

8 - Monoma. He’s low down just because I know why hes underrated and it’s because his character depth was stolen from him. But he’s so interesting!

5 - Geten. The only MLA character I actually care about honestly. I hate the rest of them, but Geten intrigues me. What is his connection to the rest of the Himura family? How did he end up where he is? Personally I like to think Rei has a sibling and Geten’s their child. I wanna know other people’s theories though! Also the fact he’s really quite young, especially compared to the other MLA members

4 - Tenya Iida. Lawful good class rep guy goes on a feral arc and plots revenge and people don’t talk about him?? Simultaneously a nerd and a jock?? Has an amazing big brother who I also adore?? The family drama with this guy. The body horror with him ripping out his own mufflers that one time. Like. Can we please talk about him more.

Bakugou is softer around you sure, but even he has the tendency to yell at you when he’s under a lot of shit. Also he’s grown past this but in the beginning of your relationship, he expected you to deal with your baggage on your own since that’s how he dealt with a lot of his pains. Now he preaches about how nobody should face anything on their own, lol.

Midoryia is so sweet, if he’s toxic at all it’s to himself. Being too hard on himself as well as having a hard time being vulnerable, at times. Believe it or not… willing to cry but not willing to burden you with all for one. Makes u wonder if he doesn’t trust you..

Todoroki isn’t toxic generally because he’s very aware of how he acts and doesn’t wanna be like his father. If anything he just says something hurtful on accident.

Dabi has some toxic traits he doesn’t realize he has, his jealousy issues are to the point of toxicity, possessiveness and over jealousness causing him to burn people alive, which can do a lot to a person that isn’t used to that sorta thing.
