Simple gestures were everything to Link. He couldn’t get enough of those sweet moments shared between the two of you... Prolonged eye contact, accidentally brushing your hand over his whenever you handed him a patient's chart, to the smile that stretched across your face whenever you spoke with him during your shifts. He simply couldn’t get enough of your demeanor. It was intoxicating.

You had a hold over his mind like no other.

From the moment he saw you from afar, it forever altered his brain chemistry.

Link cared for others to fill the void in his soul, working tirelessly every evening to stay ahead of his studies, more machine than man as he toiled away his fleeting youth. Suddenly he had more. He had meaning. He could breathe again. You became his purpose, his light, his reason to live. Helping people distracted Link from his towering problems, but it was no longer enough to sate his ever growing loneliness.

He couldn’t let you go.
