People keep saying that they don’t understand how Percy or Annabeth couldn’t join Kronos after all the stuff the gods put them through so far in the show (deadbeat parents, Athena’s punishment) clearly don’t understand Percy’s motivations.
Percy doesn’t stay at Camp Half-Blood because he thinks the gods are alright, he stays because he knows that Kronos is worse.

Guys, does anyone remember that excellent post about feral Jason taking on Krios barehanded.
I remember stuff about Krios snapping his shield and throwing him into a wall or something. And then advancing on him like he was prey. But he wasn’t prey, he was a wolf. Something like that.
And then stuff about him going batshit and having like ichor staining his mouth?
I need to find that post if anyone knows where it is. I seem to have lost it.

Hey just looking for fic recommendations about Percy Jackson...
Do you know of any fics that have camp half-blood members going to college at New Rome and learning about the Titan in history?
Kinda based off of the idea from Lilsarts1005 on TikTok

so mainly based on a tik tok by @/pmpkn_soup but uhHh
Beckendorf gives Charon a photo of Silena as payment since he didn't have proper payment when he died and his body was never found :((
But it's got me thinking about the other campers who's bodies weren't found. Would they just sit there? Would they hand over items of importance? What could those items be?
Originally my mind procured Nico visiting DOA and giving the campers the payment they needed, Charon probably wasn't impressed but "They gave their live to beat Kronos, they deserve it." so he doesn't put up a fight.
But I'm curious what the other demigods may give up as payment.
Do we know of Ethan Nakamuras mortal parent is alive 🧍‍♀️ or if they have a good relationship?
idk but I'm gonna say they're dead and he carries a photo of them 😎 so he gives that
Michael Yew, I like to think Will made a friendship bracelet his first year of camp. Michael's that person like "i don't wear jewelry" "oh. well you don't need need to-" "stfu im never taking this off" and he'd give that to Charon. Reminder of his lil bro he hopes not to see anytime soon. Either that or he has a photo of his siblings. Charon recognizing Lee:
Are there any other demigods we know who's bodies were lost 🧍‍♀️ well probably. like 100% but named

Hi, I'm doing a research/interview about the Second Titanomachy. Mind if I ask a few questions if it's not sensitive?
How did Charles Beckendorf's death affected the Cabin 9? Did any of you knew what he and Percy were going to do? How did Jake Mason and Nyssa Barbera handle the sudden change in leadership?
How was Percy Jackson as a leader? I only came before the Giant War so I don't know how things were handled during the Battle of Manhattan. Did you, in your personal opinion, find him good?
Alabaster Torrington. I kept stumbling upon his name while going through old reports that belonged to the Titan army as he was mentioned as a general. But no one in the camp talks about him. The furthest I could get was Chris Rodriguez mentioning he was a nerd and ex-members of the army vaguely implying they are not allowed to talk about him. Do you know who he is?
Oh, that's a lot of questions. But okay:
Charlie (I refuse to call my brother by his last name) did tell us what their plan was and we were all aware of the risks. That being said, it still hurt. I love all of my siblings so much, and losing any of them always has an impact.
Nyssa has always been quite protective, so her role didn't change much, but it was clearly a strain for Jake, especially after his accident. Jake was not planning to be head counselor, and he never wanted to. Of course, he did it because he wanted to keep the rest of us safe, but he's always been quite antisocial, and isn't a huge fan of people, whether he's in charge of them or not.
Percy did his best, and at the end of the day, he is just a kid. I think he did well for what his situation was. I could not even begin to understand the kind of pressure he was under.
Yes, I knew Alabaster. He is one of the most powerful children of Hecate in the modern world, and was a soldier in the Titan army. We are actually still in contact (sometimes). Once again, he is a child. I know a lot of people at camp don't like him, and I understand that, and while I do not agree with his decisions, I do not hate him. When we talk, we never discuss the war, but occasionally I update him on the happenings of chb. He does not want to come back, even if he was welcome, but he does particularly like to hear that at least some of his siblings are alive, even if he didn't know them.

also physically dick grayson should be (at absolute max) 5”7 as a male gymnast who can still actually do aerial work. however for maximum pain i put him closer to 5”10 so he constantly has to reckon with the fact that he’s taller than his father was and has now been changed irreversibly by leaving the circus

Hera never made it home. Her sister was dying, she probably wasn't gonna make it. And it was all her fault. She was unable to focus on her home as guilt clouded her mind. She found herself lost somewhere in the wreckage of the war. But she didn't care. She couldn't go home. She shouldn't go home. What if she just caused more damage to her family? How many more of her siblings were hurt in the explosion? The thought had her collapsing on her knees, screaming as she begged for forgiveness unsure of who could hear her.
A voice pulled her out of her thoughts. "Dear child.... Where are your sisters?" She turned to find a tall figure standing over her. He looked at her with curiosity, as if she was a specimen to be studied. Experimented with.
"They went h-home." She sobbed out, her voice once filled with pride now holding more anguish than could fit in her small body. "They hate m-me!"
"What makes you think that?" He inquired.
"I killed Dem!" She sobbed, her voice breaking. Her sister's mangled body imprinted its picture in her mind.
The man leaned down and scooped the young goddess into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck, desperate for any comfort she could find. Too lost in anguish to notice he was a Titan she had just tried to destroy.
"Hest told me Posiedon was wrong!" She cried to him. "But-but, h-he was right! I am a curse!"
"No, of course not." The man soothed, holding her even tighter.
"Yes! Hest said so..." She added meekly, remembering her sisters flame filled eyes as her words repeated in her brain. "BECAUSE YOU'RE A CURSE-"
Her head ached where she hit the tree as a realization flooded her mind. Hestia did that to her. The same person who promised to always care for her. Her sister defended her when her brother mocked her for not being strong enough. But she had agreed with him the whole time. She was a burden.
Her grief was slowly replaced with anger, her sister promised her they would stick together. Even after she had lost them a valuable mission Hestia had told her, "We've all had bad days. But we learn, and we stick together."
She lied. That wasn't true. It never was.
The man set her down and began to examine her head. Gold ichor still flowed from the wound and down her back.
"Did your sister do this?" He asked, parting her hair to get a better look at the wound.
She glared at the ground, the pain in her head long forgotten. She had never seen so much hate in someone's eyes. Let alone Hestia who loved everyone.
Just not her.
"She's not my sister anymore!" She bit out. "I have no family." Resentment filled her small voice, the air itself shook with her pain. The titan wrapped his arms around her again.
"it's okay," He told her, "We can make our own family. We'll show them. We'll show them all."
******
Hestia expected to find her younger sister waiting for her at home but she was nowhere to be found. Desperately she asked Hades if he had seen her but he was too busy tending to Poseidon and Zeus wounds from the explosion. The explosion Hera had caused.
Her anger returned. She decided to focus her energy on healing Demeter, she would find her little sister later.
She did what she could to heal her but her energy was running low. Hades had exhausted himself healing their brothers. Posiedon was awake but groggy, Zeus was still unconscious.
"where's Hera?" Hades asked, collapsing on the couch. He had overdone it yet again and looked on the verge of death.
"I don't know." Hestia responded, sitting next to him, her own exhaustion setting in. "She was supposed to stay away."
Panic grew on her brother's face, "What do you mean? Was she hurt in the explosion? Where is she? We have to find her!"
"No, she's fine." Hestia said quickly, doing her best to soothe him. It took her a moment to explain what had happened. She was still in shock and as much as she didn't want to admit it, she was still very angry at her little sister. Demeter and Zeus would be out of commission for a while, having been badly burned. Posiedon most certainly had a concussion and Hades would need to sleep for the next week before fighting or healing again.
"Hest, your starting to smoke" Hades said, bringing her out of her thoughts. "What happened?" He questioned, very clearly reading her distressed emotions.
"Hera caused the explosion." She explained.
His eyes widened, "She did that?" He leaned back on the couch, both shocked and tired.
"impressive." He muttered before slowly drifting off to sleep.
"rest brother," She murmured, pulling an old blanket over him and herself before falling asleep.
******
A day after the explosion, after getting rest, Hestia went to where Hera normally was to try and talk to her. But she was nowhere to be found. Her and Hades began frantically searching for her, eventually Posiedon was well enough to help. However, their attempts to find and/or contact her started to look futile. Hestia hoped Hera would come home on her own but she never did. They continued to look for their little sister but to no avail. The war continued, they had to as well.
The Titanomachy dragged on for several more years. The Olympians grew tired while their father and the other titans just grew stronger. Eventually things came to a standstill. For a short while it looked as if the Olympians might stand a chance. Until a new threat was discovered supporting the Titans.
One they had yet to see or even hear of.
Katára
It was and Accident
Hestia stared down at the charred and burned body of her sister. Demeter lay at her feet, there was a large wound in her side from the explosion, ichor pooled from it. her arms, legs and face (not all of it but some) were burned, and she wouldn’t wake up.
“Hest, I did it!”  Hestia looked up slightly, as the voice of her little sister coming from behind her interrupted her thoughts and grief. “What did you say?” Hestia said, her voice quiet with confusion. Hera spoke, her voice full of pride, “The energy expands! The power I’ve been working to control! It worked. I was able to disintegrate some of the Titans, and I caused some explosions that threw them off guard! I hurt them!! I helped protect you guys!!” Hestia suddenly realized something turning to look at her sister, her orange eyes glowing with rage and anger as she pointed down to Demeter. “You did this?” Hestia said her voice quiet, cold anger seeped out with every word. Hera looked at her confused, then followed the fire goddess’s finger down to see her elder sister lying on the ground ichor leaking from her wounds.
Hera suddenly froze her body locking up as she realized what she was seeing. Her eyes welled up with tears. She was shocked, she was scared but she was most of all extremely guilty for what her powers had done to her sister, the woman who had cared for her for her entire life, raised her, trained her, and showed her nothing but love. She had just killed her, she knew Demeter would come back but it would take a while and she would be in dire condition for a long time. “I-I only wanted to help. I only wanted to help, I only wanted to help!! Please! I didn’t want this to happen, I just- I wanted to protect her, I wanted to protect you! I wanted to help-
“I told you this isn’t your BATTLE! I told you to stay away from this fight, now look at what you’ve done!”  Hera stared at Hestia for a second, “I just wanted to help you…” she looked back down at  Demeter, and tried to rush to her side, she wanted to help her, to fix the mistake she made, but Hestia blocked her. She stared down at the younger goddess. “I told you to stay away!” Hera tried to push past her “Please!”
“STAY AWAY FROM HER!” Hestia spat the words as she grabbed the younger goddess, throwing her back. Hera let out a cry of pain as her head slammed into a tree. She felt the gold liquid leak down the back of her skull as it started to ache. She grabbed the back of her head whimpering as she looked up at her oldest sister stocking towards her rage evident on her face, Hera yelled “WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?” Hestia spat the word, small flickers of flame emitting from her mouth as she grabbed her sister’s jaw , squeezing it tightly, pulling the girl up to her face, “BECAUSE YOUR A CURSE DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!”
At that she dropped Hera to the ground as the young woman let that sentence sink in, “What?” Hera said, wanting to know if she had hallucinated what her oldest sister had said, “You have been nothing but a curse on this family.” Hestia said disgust with every word said, flames flickering in her hair. “You’ve only ruined things for us.” Hestia looked down, she didn’t want to look at Hera anymore. She looked back to Demeter and then back to the youngest goddess.
“Go home. You’ve done enough today.” Hera sat on the ground as Hestia walked back to their sister. She felt numb, things seemed to move in slow motion. Did Hestia really think that? Did Demeter think that? She just sat there, tears streaming down her face. Hestia looked back at her one last time, “I said, go home. Hera.” The youngest goddess didn’t look up as a bright gold light surrounded her and she vanished. Hestia looked back to Demeter, her broken and charred body laying on the ground, tears springing to her eyes at the sight. The goddess knitted her brow “Why the hell did I say that to her?!” She loved Hera more than anything and Demeter did as well. “You’re letting your anger get to you.” Hestia turned flames in her hands as the voice of her father entered her head. She sighed, seeing nothing, and turned back to Demeter. Leaning down to cup her face. “I’ll fix you.” she said as she carefully picked up the body of her broken sister and vanished home as well.
