Welcome to our comprehensive guide on new glasses care tips and eyewear maintenance. Your eyeglasses are not only a visual aid but also an important accessory. Proper care ensures they remain clear and functional, giving you optimal vision. Whether you're new to wearing glasses or a seasoned wearer, this guide will provide you with valuable insights on how to maintain your eyeglasses in top-notch condition.
Eyewear Maintenance Guide: Caring for Your Eyeglasses
Taking care of your eyeglasses is not just about aesthetics; it's about preserving their quality and extending their lifespan. By following a few simple steps, you can keep your glasses looking pristine and ensure your vision stays crystal clear.
Proper Glasses Care Routine
Creating a consistent glasses care routine is essential for maintaining their quality. Start by rinsing your glasses under lukewarm water to remove any dust or debris. Avoid using hot water, as it may damage coatings on the lenses. Then, apply a small amount of mild dish soap to the lenses and gently rub them with your fingers to remove oils and fingerprints. Rinse the glasses again under lukewarm water, and finally, gently pat them dry with a clean, soft microfiber cloth.
Lens Cleaning Instructions
Cleaning your eyeglass lenses properly is crucial for clear vision. Avoid using abrasive materials like tissues or rough fabrics, as they can scratch the lenses. Instead, use a microfiber cleaning cloth provided by your eyewear provider. If you're on the go, keep a small microfiber cloth in your bag for quick clean-ups.
Eyeglass Frame Maintenance
Caring for the frame is equally important. Regularly check for loose screws and gently tighten them with a small screwdriver if needed. Additionally, avoid placing your glasses face down, as it can cause scratches. Instead, store them in a protective case when not in use.
Taking Care of Your Spectacles: Dos and Don'ts
While caring for your eyeglasses, there are certain dos and don'ts you should keep in mind to ensure their longevity.
Dos:
Do use both hands: When putting on or taking off your glasses, use both hands to avoid uneven pressure on the frame.
Do use a proper cleaning solution: Use a lens cleaning solution recommended by your eyewear provider. Avoid using harsh chemicals or household cleaners.
Do store in a protective case: Always store your glasses in a sturdy case to protect them from accidental damage.
Do clean the case: Regularly clean the inside of your eyeglass case to prevent dirt buildup.
Don'ts:
Don't use your shirt or tissue: Avoid using your shirt, tissue, or paper towels to clean your lenses, as they can scratch the surface.
Don't leave glasses in direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can damage lens coatings and frame materials.
Don't use hot water: Hot water can damage lens coatings and frame finishes, so stick to lukewarm water for cleaning.
Lens Care for New Glasses: How to Clean Eyewear Properly
Properly cleaning the lenses of your new glasses is essential for maintaining clear vision. Follow these steps for effective lens care:
Rinse: Rinse your glasses under lukewarm water to remove dust and debris.
Soap: Apply a small drop of mild dish soap to each lens.
Rub: Gently rub both sides of the lenses with your fingertips to remove oils and smudges.
Rinse: Rinse the lenses thoroughly under lukewarm water to remove soap residue.
Dry: Gently dry the lenses using a clean, microfiber cloth to avoid scratching.
Preventing Lens Scratches: Tips for Eyeglass Care
Preventing lens scratches is a key aspect of eyeglass care. Here are some tips to keep your lenses scratch-free:
Use a microfiber cloth: Always use a soft microfiber cloth to clean your lenses. Avoid using abrasive materials that can cause scratches.
Store in a case: When you're not wearing your glasses, keep them in a protective case to prevent accidental scratches.
Avoid placing face down: Never place your glasses face down, as it exposes the lenses to potential scratches.
Steps to Care for New Glasses: Extending Glasses Lifespan
Caring for new glasses involves several steps that can significantly extend their lifespan:
Regular cleaning: Clean your glasses daily using a microfiber cloth and a mild cleaning solution.
Proper storage: Always store your glasses in a protective case to prevent damage.
Handle with care: Use both hands when putting on or removing your glasses to avoid bending the frame.
Avoid extreme temperatures: High heat or cold can damage lens coatings and frame materials.
Regular maintenance: Periodically check for loose screws and visit your eyewear provider for adjustments.
Eyeglass Cleaning Techniques: Keeping Your Glasses Smudge-Free
Smudges and fingerprints can obstruct your vision and affect the appearance of your glasses. Follow these techniques to keep your glasses smudge-free:
Use lens cleaner: Invest in a quality lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth to effectively remove smudges.
Avoid touching the lenses: Handle your glasses by the frame to minimize smudging from fingerprints.
Eyewear Cleaning Solutions: Cleaning Foggy Glasses
Foggy glasses can be a common annoyance, especially when transitioning from cold to warm environments. To prevent fogging, consider these solutions:
Anti-fog wipes or sprays: Use specialized anti-fog wipes or sprays to create a protective barrier against fog.
Proper ventilation: Adjust your glasses to sit slightly away from your face to allow better air circulation.
Best Practices for Glasses Care: Preserving Eyeglass Quality
Preserving the quality of your eyeglasses requires following these best practices:
Regular check-ups: Visit your eyewear provider for regular maintenance and adjustments.
Avoid using harsh materials: Use only microfiber cloths and cleaning solutions recommended by professionals.
Handle with care: Treat your glasses gently to prevent damage to both lenses and frames.
By following these new glasses care tips and maintaining a consistent eyewear maintenance routine, you can ensure the longevity and clarity of your eyeglasses. Remember to handle your glasses with care, clean them properly, and store them in a protective case when not in use. By doing so, you'll enjoy clear vision and well-maintained eyeglasses for years to come.

How to Properly Care for Your New Glasses
Introduction
Embarking on the journey of caring for your new glasses is crucial to ensure their longevity and maintain optimal vision. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore the nuances of caring for your eyewear, providing insights and tips that go beyond the ordinary.
The Importance of Proper Care
Your glasses are more than just a visual aid; they're an investment in your daily comfort and clarity. Proper care not only ensures their durability but also guarantees a clear vision, free from smudges and scratches.
Choosing the Right Cleaning Materials
To maintain the pristine condition of your glasses, start by choosing the right cleaning materials. Microfiber cloths and lens cleaning solutions specifically designed for eyewear are your best allies in the battle against dirt and grime.
Cleaning Your Glasses Effectively
Gently wipe your glasses in a circular motion, paying extra attention to the nose pads and hinges. Avoid using excessive force, as it may damage the lenses or frame. Regular, gentle cleaning is the key to crystal-clear vision.
Storing Your Glasses Safely
When not in use, always store your glasses in a protective case. This shields them from potential scratches and prevents accidents that could lead to misalignment or breakage.
Handling Your Glasses with Care
Handle your glasses with clean, dry hands. Avoid placing them face down, as this exposes the lenses to potential scratches. Additionally, refrain from using your shirttail to clean them—opt for the proper materials.
Avoiding Common Mistakes
One common mistake is using regular household cleaners, which may contain harsh chemicals detrimental to lens coatings. Stick to recommended cleaning solutions to protect both your lenses and your eyes.
When and How to Adjust Your Glasses
Regularly check for any discomfort or slippage. If needed, make minor adjustments by gently bending the temples. For major adjustments, consult your optician to avoid causing damage.
Dealing with Scratches
Despite precautions, scratches can occur. If minor, try toothpaste or baking soda as a gentle abrasive. For deeper scratches, seek professional advice.
Protecting Your Glasses from the Elements
Rain, heat, and dust can pose challenges. Use lens coatings for added protection and always shield your glasses during adverse weather conditions.
Knowing When to Replace Your Glasses
If you notice a decline in vision despite proper care, it might be time for a new prescription. Regular eye check-ups ensure your glasses always complement your visual needs.
How to Properly Care for Your New Glasses: A Step-by-Step Guide
Start with the Right Cleaning Materials Begin by gathering a microfiber cloth and specialized lens cleaning solution.
Inspect Your Glasses Examine your glasses for any loose screws, misalignments, or scratches.
Gentle Cleaning Motion Using the microfiber cloth, clean the lenses in a circular motion, paying attention to edges and corners.
Nose Pads and Hinges Ensure thorough cleaning around nose pads and hinges, where dirt tends to accumulate.
Storing in a Protective Case When not in use, place your glasses in a sturdy case to prevent damage.
Handle with Care Always handle your glasses with clean, dry hands, avoiding unnecessary pressure on the lenses.
Avoid Face-Down Placement Never place your glasses face down to prevent scratches on the lenses.
Regular Adjustment Checks Periodically check for any discomfort or misalignment, making minor adjustments if necessary.
Dealing with Scratches For minor scratches, try toothpaste or baking soda. Seek professional help for deeper scratches.
Weather Protection Shield your glasses during rain or extreme heat to maintain their quality.
Regular Eye Check-ups Schedule regular eye check-ups to ensure your prescription is up-to-date.

Can I wear my glasses while cooking or near heat sources?
It's best to avoid wearing glasses near intense heat sources, as this can damage coatings and affect the frame. Consider protective eyewear in such situations.
What should I do if my glasses get wet in the rain?
Use a dry, clean cloth to gently wipe off any water droplets. Avoid using clothing, as it may contain abrasive particles.
Can I adjust my glasses at home?
Minor adjustments, like gently bending the temples, can be done at home. However, for major adjustments, consult your optician to prevent damage.

Here it is !! Flamingo King snippet for part 7, originally from part 6 but moved to the epilogue/bonus chapter 🦩❤️🔥 I’ve never loved a fic this much and am so thankful for all of your support !! I hope you all enjoy 🥰🫶
“Hey, sugar, you know you don’t gotta knock.”
“I just thought it would only be fair for tonight.” You shyly hold out a bouquet of flowers, vibrant red and yellow tulips from the best florist in the city. “These are for you. I was thinkin’ we could stop by the bakery after dinner? They brought back your favourite pie and I told them to save us a good one.”
Ari stands there for a moment, looking between you and the flowers. Then, he slaps the door, “awh shit, that was today? I thought—” he groans, “I thought it was tomorrow, Friday right?”
“Today is Friday.”
“Shit.” He curses, “The Den has been a fuckin’ zoo with all the college kids being back in town, my brain is fried and my eyes fuckin’ hurt from staring at a screen all day. Aside from bartending, Curtis has us doing all this paperwork and—” he shoulders sag, “nevermind. No need to be standing out there, come in, baby.”
The light flickers on and you can finally see him properly.
Eyeglasses are on the tip of his nose, his hair is messy and pulled out of his face with a small clip, one you recognize from your small vanity at home. His normally glowy skin is dull and tired, and dark bags make his eyes appear sunken into his face.
You’ve seen him dishevelled, but nothing this exhausted.
He’s still as pretty as ever, but just so terribly tired.
“Give me a few minutes, I’ll get ready quickly.” Then he’s off to his bedroom, abandoning his laptop and coffee table cluttered with dirty dishes, and plenty of papers.
A blanket and pillow that used to occupy his big, comfy bed are on the couch, along with a spare t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants. His record player is off, no slow rock song filling his trailer like usually.
You hear several slams and bangs before peeking into his bedroom and it’s a mess, far worse than the living room. Clothes skewed over his bed, the laundry bin overflowing and more stacks of empty dishes on his nightstands, although outnumbered by takeout containers.
Ever since you met Ari, he took pride in his spotless home and kept his things organized. He was diligent with weekly cleans, and often reminded you of laundry day so you could do your chores together.
It’s been quite wild for you too from sports season and the rush of people coming in after school or work. Even Andy had to hire new staff just to keep up with the hoard of customers.
Despite being busy, you’ve still made time for each other, going out for late night ice cream, or hanging out in your trailer watching movies on the laptop that you got for a massive discount (from a particular blond cutie with a goatee). But you haven’t been over in a few days, a week at most, and you didn’t know it was this bad.
“Ari.”
“Hold on!” he calls out, digging through his dressers as clothes fall to the floor.
“Ari.”
“Where the fuck are my jeans?” He sweeps through the hangers again, squinting behind his glasses, “Why do I have so many flannels?”
You step behind him, wrapping your arms around his torso. Pressing your cheek against his bare back, you can feel his rigid muscles under his skin. Poor baby, he’s so overworked and drained, yet he was still trying to put you first.
“We don’t have to go tonight.”
“We do. You got all dolled up and bought me flowers. You were gonna wine and dine me, and you can’t do that if we’re stuck in this pigsty.”
You squeeze him tighter, refusing to let go. You know he could easily overpower you, throw you on the bed and continue getting ready. But instead, he just sinks into your touch, slumping over and bracing himself on the dresser.
“I’m so fuckin’ sorry, sugar.”
“Don’t be.”
He always took care of you. Making sure you ate during the day, stayed hydrated and out of the harsh sun. He wouldn’t eat until you took a first bite, and always put snacks and water in your bag before you went to work. Sometimes on his days off, he’d get into your trailer by using the key you gave him and tidy up, wanting you to come home and be able to relax.
Ari has done so much for you.
It takes a few more kisses, some affectionate squeezing and running your hands up and down his chest for him to turn around.
His eyebrows are knotted tight, and a deep solemn frown plays on his lips. You notice his beard is thicker too, a smidge longer than his usual trim.
“I’m so tired—I don’t know what the hell is happening.” He sags forward, slinging his arms over your shoulders and tugging you closer.
You turn your head, kissing his bicep. “Wanna talk about it?”
He shrugs. “It’s work, work and work. That’s all I fuckin’ do now. I love The Den and working with my friends, and it always gets busy this time of year but shit…” he huffs, squeezing his eyes shut. “It was fine before because I had nothin’ else to do but now I have you.” He leans down, pressing his forehead to yours, “You're my girl—how the hell can I give you the attention, time and love that you deserve if I can’t even remember what day it is?”
Your heart aches as you stare into his disappointed blue eyes. Framed by thick lashes, they blink so slowly and sleepily.
“I don’t—I refuse to lose you because of something stupid like this.”
“You’re not going to lose me over one missed date.” You promise, meaning every word.
He chuckles dryly and turns back around to search through the closet again. “It starts like that. Then it’s another and another, and soon we aren’t even seeing each other for days at a time and resort to texts and five minute calls.” He rambles, “And then we’re just two strangers who had something great and you’re gonna get swept off your feet by some douchebag who can’t even remember your favourite colour. While you’re off with him in a big and bright city, I’m gonna be an old man still at The Den, talking about how I lost the girl of my dreams to drunk guys who have a million better things to do—”
“—would you be quiet!”
He looks over his shoulder with wide eyes.
“We aren’t going, so put down those jeans and sit on your bed.” You cross your arms.
Ari doesn’t move, his long fingers still clutching the denim. “Uh—”
“Shush.” You snatch the jeans from his hands and toss it on the dresser, and point to the unmade bed. “Go. Now.”
“Yes ma’am.” He mutters under his breath, cautiously walking around you to his bedroom. With a heavy breath, he plops on the mattress, leaning back with his legs spread wide.
His thin shorts ride up his thick thighs, displaying the built muscle and coarse hair. Quickly glancing over his shameless bulge, you admire his cute tummy and the chain dangling between his pecs.
You step towards him, cupping his bearded face in your hands and squishing his cheeks, making his lips pucker. “You have to take a break or else you’re gonna burn out.”
His eyes close peacefully, your touch silencing all of those pesky worries and looming fears. He was normally very reflective about his thoughts, and kept those stupid, useless, noisy ones to himself.
One of your hands moves to his hair, taking out the clip and running your fingers through the dark strands. “You always take care of me. You’re always so sweet and attentive, the best daddy I could’ve ever asked for.” You say softly and lean down, gently pulling his head back to kiss his cheek, trailing closer to his pink, plump lips. “Now I wanna take care of you.”
A low groan rumbles from his chest, “yeah, baby? You gonna take care of daddy tonight?”
“Mhm.” You hum with a chaste kiss. “Work out all those knots in your back, clear your head…” Your hands fall to his shoulders, tenderly pressing into the tense muscles. “Tonight is all about you, daddy. You deserve it.”
It’s about time we get back to the hot and steamy Flamingo Trailer Park !! The posting date would be earlier but your girl has exams 🥸 I hope you’re all as excited as me 🤩 pls feel free to share your thoughts !!

✦ I was chatting with my sis @the-witch-of-one-piece and a sudden idea came up because of those pics of young uryu always being carried around in arms and sleeping. So, I had to write a little scenario inspired on such scenes! Uryu is about to become a doctor and exhaustion hits him and reader is there to take care of him while he rests at least for a night... 💖 thank u to val val for the idea of the exams making him tired. i love u boo! 💖 ✦ tw: Uryu is at least 26 y/o in the fic. Based in the last chapter of the manga. totally sft. if you want more of this story, just ask for it. I'd love to give him a little bit more of love since there isn't much around here.
“Hey, Ishida-kun… are you ok?” you ask; His slanted eyes become tiny as he can’t keep them open. “Huh? Oh yes, yes…” he mouths, with exhausted dark circles shining through the edge of his modern eyeglasses.
All of you look at him with a little concern. He didn’t want to miss the movie night you organized, but finals week is coming closer… and he is about to become a doctor.
You smile sweetly, as he forced himself to sit properly. It isn’t that late, but the warm cushions of your couch and the lights turned off for a movie, are lulling him to a so needed rest.
As the movie progresses, and, of course he couldn’t find it interesting, his lids close once and for all. The soft snoring by your side caught your attention, making you look at him with the corner of your eye. You didn’t want the guys, especially Ichigo and Renji to pick on him.
Little by little, you move closer to his body. That close, that if he were to loose balance he would fall on you. You don’t mind him falling asleep, much less on your shoulder.
And indeed, a few minutes after, his temple finally slide towards the crook of your neck. You could smell the scent of his freshly washed hair; you could see the way his eyebrow slightly twitches, and his cute cheek pressed against your arm.
You notice, also, the way his glasses seem to be bothering him. So, in silence, and absolutely delicately you take them off. “Inoue-san, please put these over the coffee table” you whisper to your sweet ginger friend.
As delicate as you, she took them in her hands and giving you a sincere smile, she turns around to hug his beloved, soon to be husband, to keep watching the tv screen. You could tell that look wasn’t simply because of how Uryu was cutely sleeping, but also because she knew something else.
Halfway there, the movie isn’t finished yet and he hasn’t moved a single millimetre from his initial position. However, you notice his arms hugging himself in clear signs of feeling cold. So, you ask Rukia to pass you one of the blankets you have on a basket next to the tv set.
She slides over Renji -who couldn’t help himself but slap her ass, making Ichigo to laugh like an idiot- and grabs it.
Of course, before giving it to you, she makes sure to pinch both guys cheeks with eyes promising to beat their asses outside.
You giggle, moving Uryu more towards you. Him, who usually avoids any type of physical contact, gets comfortable on you -more than what you could expect he would someday-. His left arm passes over your belly, and the cold tip of his pointy nose buries on your collar bone.
You froze for a moment, with the blanket on your hand and your eyes widened. Rukia does the same, while a smirk invades her face impossible to stop from showing. You blink, you don’t want nobody else to see such scene… especially your reaction. And quickly cover him -and you-
You skin reacts to the touch of his lips on your neck. He isn’t kissing you, but it feels almost as if he was. His black hair covers half of his cheeks, and the brilliance of the screen in front of you, dances in different colours, casting shadows on his sharp mandible.
You are sure this is the first time you see him without glasses, and for the same matter, peacefully sleeping… so close to you… on you. Almost as if he was hugging you.
At first you looked at him from time to time, but then, your eyes weren’t able to stick off his façade. From the way his eyelashes almost reached the apples of his cheeks, from the pale skin that barely shows a hint of his collar bone down his grey t-shirt.
You bite your lower lip, ignoring the rest of the world. You couldn’t resist his proximity… you simply can’t.
“Aight, let me help you. I will take him home” Ichigo says, coming closer to you, pulling you out of your reverie in which you wake him up and kiss him until the next morning.
“Kurosaki-kun, no… let him sleep” Orihime says, pulling from Ichigo’s arm to stop him from shaking his friend to wake him up.
Renji and Rukia have already understand exactly the reasons why Orihime stopped his lover from waking Uryu up. But the strawberry boy needed further explanation…
“Don’t worry, Kurosaki-kun. Let him sleep a little longer, he can stay home tonight” you whisper, you don’t want to wake him up. Nor him going away from you.
“But he-“ the substitute Shinigami wants to insist, when Rukia jumps to slap his neck. “Ichigo you are so slow, God. Let the poor guy sleep! Let’s go”
Nobody knows if he finally understood, but, in any case he started running after Kuchiki who has picked a fight with him.
As they leave, Orihime is the last one to go out. She makes sure the blanket covers both of you properly, and without saying much she smiles at you while taking her hand to her mouth. “Good night, (Name) ~” she says, closing the door of your apartment with utmost care not to make any sound.
And there you are. In complete dark, with your crush sleeping right over your shoulder, looking at a cushion that had been left abandoned in the middle of the floor. The soft argentum shine of the moon, filtering through the big glass door of your living room, being the only source of light… besides the shine of your eyes. Even if he doesn’t know, he is making you, for at least some time, the happiest person alive. And maybe, just by tonight, you chose to dream with the idea he is completely yours…
You get caught into the endless cycle of his chest slowly rising and going down, and after debating yourself for at least half an hour, you finally tuck some strands of hair behind his ear. Uryu finds himself so relaxed, he doesn’t even notice your hand touching his delicate face. He feels at ease.
And, even if your stomach would be full of butterflies, exhaustion finally hits you… or perhaps it is that, when you are next to the person you love, the one that’s meant to be, you feel a peace that lets every guard fall off… that let your body feel so secure.
Your head slowly falls to the side, resting on top of his. And a soft smile invades your lips as you finally fall asleep…
A prying eye finally opens. A blue one, that kinda sees everything behind a blurry filter. A mischievous smirk, very little, appears on his lips. He has indeed fallen asleep, but he is slightly awaken now.
Should he excuse himself and go back to his place? Or should he stay? He could, for at least tonight, allow himself to rest on the arms of his secret crush… right? And what we do asleep couldn’t be judged…
Uryu’s arms snake around your waist, pulling you towards his chest, being him the one to hold you now. Fixing the blanket so it totally covers your body, he caresses your cheek with his fingers.
There will be plenty of time to think of excuses by the time the sun is up, but for now, let’s go back to sleep…

July 2023: UV Safety Month - UV Safety Tips for Eyes
July 2023: UV Safety Month
UV (ultraviolet) rays emitted by the sun can be harmful to our eyes and prolonged exposure without proper protection can lead to various eye conditions. Some of these eye conditions can even lead to permanent vision damage. Therefore, it is crucial to adopt UV safety measures to safeguard our eyes to maintain long-term ocular health. Here are some essential UV safety tips for eyes:
1. Wear sunglasses: Choose sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays. Look for labels indicating UV protection and opt for large, wrap-around frames to shield your eyes from direct sunlight coming in from the sides.
2. Broad-brimmed hat: Pair your sunglasses with a wide-brimmed hat for added protection. This will not only protect your eyes but also shield your face and neck from the sun's harmful rays.
3. Avoid peak hours: UV radiation is strongest between 10 am and 4 pm. If possible, limit your outdoor activities during these hours, especially on bright, sunny days.
4. Photochromic lenses: If you require prescription eyeglasses, consider getting photochromic lenses that are coated with a special chemical that defends your eyes against the sun’s harmful rays.
5. Use UV-blocking contact lenses: If you wear contact lenses, opt for those that provide UV protection to ensure your eye is shielded from UV radiation.
6. Seek shade: When outdoors, try to stay in shaded areas to reduce direct exposure to UV rays, especially during peak hours.
7. Never look directly at the sun: Staring directly at the sun, even for a brief moment, can cause severe damage to the retina. This can lead to permanent vision loss or blindness.
8. Regular eye check-ups: Schedule regular eye examinations with an eye care specialist to monitor your eye health and catch any potential issues early on.
By incorporating these UV safety tips into your daily routine, you can significantly reduce the risk of eye problems caused by UV radiation. Protecting your eyes from the sun is not only vital for clear vision but also for preserving your ocular health in the long run.

BEAUTY TIPS FOR BRIDES WHO WEAR GLASSES
Few things are more beautiful than a radiantly happy bride on her wedding day. But, if you wear eyeglasses, you may wonder whether your look will be good enough to get the photographer to snap that perfect shot. It's not uncommon for brides to wear eyeglasses on their wedding day for comfort or fashion reasons. Some even love to wear eyeglasses because they're a part of who they are.
However, there are several potential issues that you need to be aware of if you'll be wearing eyeglasses on your big day. From how you style your hair to how you take care of your makeup, there are many things to consider when planning your wedding day beauty regimen.
This article discusses tips and tricks to help you achieve your dream wedding day look with your glasses on.
MAKE YOUR GLASSES A FEATURE
Your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life, so it's okay to splurge a little on yourself. Weeks or even months before the big day, consider getting a pair of new eyeglasses that will perfectly match your wedding dress. If you'd like to make your glasses a part of your wedding day beauty look, opt for a pair that is simple and classic but sleek and sophisticated. Investing in new eyeglasses is also a great idea because you can use them even after the wedding day is over.
You can also easily make a pair of eyeglasses the focal point of your look. Whether it's through bold colored frames or fun decorative lenses, your glasses can become the "it" accessory on your wedding day. Meanwhile, if you are more of a classic bride, a pair of eyeglasses with a simple design and neutral color can be just as glamorous.
HAIRSTYLE & ACCESSORIES
Wearing glasses does not mean you can't have gorgeous hair on your wedding day. If you want to find the perfect hair accessories and style that will match your pair of eyeglasses, the best way to do this is to schedule a mock styling session with your wedding hairstylist. This way, you can see the kind of style you want and what will work best with the frame of your specs.
You also need to consider the accessories you'll be wearing on your big day. It may not be a good idea to wear a statement necklace or bold earrings while wearing your glasses. The key to finding the right pieces is considering the frame of your specs. If it's thick, go for a piece that is simple and feminine. If it's thin and sleek, a more ornate accessory can make a great addition to your wedding look.
LASHES & LINERS
Since the lenses of your eyeglasses will cover your eyes, you need to wear eye makeup that is more defined. It doesn't have to be complicated at all. You only need a few things: mascara that helps your lashes appear thicker and longer, a liner that makes your eyes pop, and an eyeshadow that makes your eyes look bigger.
It's best to avoid fake eyelashes if you are planning on wearing your eyeglasses on your wedding day. If you really want to use them, opt for short faux lashes that won't interfere with your specs' lenses. You should also ask your makeup artist to glue them securely on your eyelids to ensure they don't fall off during the night.
COLORS THAT COMPLIMENT YOUR GLASSES
If you intend on wearing a white wedding dress on your big day, opt for a neutral-colored frame for your eyeglasses. This way, they won't overpower your white gown and create a contrast that may end up looking awkward. Frames with a brushed metallic finish in gold or silver are also excellent choices because they will add a touch of sophistication and glamor to your wedding outfit.
During the reception, you have the freedom to wear any colored frame that you want. The color you choose doesn't have to match the color of your dress. However, you can try to choose a complementary color that will help blend with the dress.
CONTOUR & CONCEAL
One of the most often overlooked yet easiest makeup tricks is contouring. Applying concealer and a brightening powder can enhance your features and make them appear more flawless and defined. When it comes to your eyes, you need to use a light-reflecting formulated concealer to offset the shadow cast from your eyeglasses.
Consider using light and neutral shades of concealer under your eyes to compensate for the shadows cast by your glasses. Then, add a translucent powder for the most natural look. You want to keep the appearance of your eye makeup light, so do not overdo it by using a thick formula.
DON'T FORGET YOUR EYEBROWS
Your eyebrows can give your face its most defining features. Even if you are wearing a pair of eyeglasses on your big day, you should pay close attention to the shape of your eyebrows. Your eyebrows can make or break your look, so be sure to spend some time on them before your wedding.
Months before your big day, you can go for microblading, a semi-permanent treatment that will help add definition to your brows. This safe, non-invasive treatment can give you a thick eyebrow with little to no downtime. Plus, it lasts about six months, so you'll have plenty of time to prepare.
Your wedding day will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so take the time to really put some effort into making your hair, makeup, dress, and eyeglasses look flawless. Treat your pair of eyeglasses like an accessory that can highlight the best features of your face on your big day, and you'll start to realize how amazing your eyes are with a pair of specs.
Lastly, no matter what type of frame or style you choose, it's crucial that you are confident and comfortable in whatever you decide to wear on your big day. After all, the most important thing to remember is that you should feel beautiful on your wedding day because when you walk down the aisle, you will meet the love of your life.

What Can He Do?
So, this has a very dark topic, but there will be a warning before it goes there. Continue reading at your own risk.
This story is about why D.J. doesn't talk to your father, River and how far she is willing to go to protect you, her sister.
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Sitting at one of the many tables at the front in the empty cafeteria, you, Lucifer and Diavolo are watching your sister pace back and forth, a concentrated and angry look on her face, though her eyes show concern and nervousness behind her glasses. Behind the three sitting, Barbatos is standing between Lucifer and Diavolo and Scarlet is standing between you and Lucifer.
"Siri, what's bothering you so much?" You asked. "A lot Haili. River's bosses just told me there's gonna be a trail for what "I" did last month." She said, doing the quotation with her fingers when she said "I". But you didn't do anything, I did." You said, confused to why she would say she did your crime. "Unless you..." Your eyes widen as your mind clicked. "You didn't." "I did." "Diciria !" "Rather me than you!" Your twin said sternly. "You don't even know the punishment!" "And I'm not taking the risk of something happening to you and my neice!" She stated, pointing at your 8 month pregnant belly. "We both know our father's bosses are heartless and cruel and they don't care for your condition either. Whatever they have planned, I'll take for you." She said. "But... You're my sister. What if they decide to kill you." Then your daughter will know what a wonderful aunt she had." The half demon spoke. "Who knows, maybe dying will put a protection charm on both you and Inhailica like Lillian did for her son Harrison when the dark lord was after him." D.J. joked, trying to cheer her sister up. You chuckled and hugged " Yer a nerd, Siri." You told her with a sad smile. "I'm a what?" She played along. "A nerd!" Both half dragons giggled.
"You know," Barbatos speaks up. You both look at him. "it is possible. If Diciria does end up dying to protect you and the baby, then you both will actually have a protection charm." He informed them.
D.J. looks at you. " Well," You look at her. "For your safety, let's hope I do." "FOR MY SANITY, LETS HOPE YOU DON'T!!" You, Lucifer, Diavolo and Barbatos shout at her and D.J. laughs. Then D.J. gets a serious look back on her face. "I'll let you know how things turn out, if I come back alive. Ok?" D.J. gave you a reassuring smile. "Alright." You say and hug her as tight as you can without hurting your child.
(If you are not comfortable with rape or mentions of, then it's best you stop here)
\/\/\/\/\/_ 2 Months_Later_\/\/\/\/\/
"Well. This is it. Judgement Day." Your sister said with a false smile and cheery voice. She looks at you and sighs. "Just know, whatever happens. I'm glad it's me and not you. Especially since you're a new mommy." She said and took your daughter's hand in hers and laughed as your daughter squealed and laughed, waving her aunt's finger around in her hand.
You teared up and cried as you handed your baby to the father and grabbed your sister into a tight hug. "I love you Diciria! Please come back to us alive!" You cried into the base of her neck. "I would if I could, but that's not up for me to decide." She told you.
Then a demon with tan skin, short spiky red hair with black tips, yellow eyes and black rimmed eyeglasses poked his head out the room. "Ok, Joy Joy, it's time." He said. "Ok, I'm coming dad." Your sister told him. You pulled away and sniffed. " Don't do anything to piss them off more than they already are." You told her. " "I'll try my best." D.J. said before walking into the room. Your father gives you a small sad smile before going back in and closing the door behind him.
Lucifer walks up with the baby on his side and arm on her back as he moves his other arm around your waist and pulls you closer to him. "She's gonna be fine. She's strong and smart. She'll get through this." He mummered into your ear and kissed your temple. "I hope so." You say and bury your face in his chest.
\/\/\/\/\/_ Few_Hours_Later_\/\/\/\/\/
There was shouting from inside and D.J. runs out the doors in her half and half form (horns, wings, tail, dragon eyes, claws replace nails and blue, indigo and purple scales on her cheeks, bridge of nose and arms)tears going down her face with a angry look on her face. "HAVE ONE WEEK T-" SLAM! She slammed the door shut.
Her hands were on the door, head was hanging down as tears fell from her face. Her shoulder sthen began to shake and she hissed rapid huffs through her nose and her hands closed into fists on the door.
Was D.J...? No, she can't be, she does't cry.
You walk over to her and place a hand on her back, rubbing it. "D.J.?" You called softly. She looks at you and stands up, shrugging your hand off. "You outta be lucky I fucking love you, (Y/N)." She growls and walks away.
You stand there heart broken. What was going on? Then your father walks out the room. He looks devastated with tears going down his face as well. "Dad. What's wrong? Why is D.J. so mad?" With a semi deep, broken voice, he explained."They...They gave me an option to "He stops and hiccuped, bringing his hand to his mouth. He takes a deep breath. "T-To either k-kill her or " he shutters a breath. "O-or fuck her!" He leaned against the door and slip down it. Sitting on the floor with his face in his hands, glasses pushed up to his head, crying.
He looked up at his other daughter. " They gave us a week to decide! What do I do!? I don't want to kill her but I don't want to do THAT to her either! I love her, but not like that!" He puts his face in his hands again and cried. "What do I do?!" "You can fucking kill me!" D.J.'s voice rang through the halls. Your father lifts his head and looks in the direction the voice came from. "NO!" His voice cried. "Kill Me!" "NO!" "You're not fucking me!" "I don't want to!" "Then kill me!" "I can't! You're my daughter!" "Then you have to fuck me and we don't want that!" "But I don't want you dead either!" Your father cried out. He then looks at you. "(Y/n). Please, tell me what to do? I don't want to do either and there's no use of running either." He said. You looked at Lucifer. " What would you do in this situation?" You asked. He just shrugged. " I.. don't know."

Myopia in Kids: Causes, Prevention, and Treatment Options
Is your child struggling to see things at a distance? Myopia, or near-sightedness, is becoming more common among children worldwide, and it’s a condition worth paying attention to. Here’s a breakdown of what causes myopia in kids, how to help prevent it, and treatment options to manage its progression.
Why Is Myopia So Common in Kids Today?
Myopia happens when the eye grows too long or the cornea curves too much, making distant objects appear blurry while close-up vision remains clear. Unfortunately, it’s a vision issue that’s on the rise globally, and here’s why:
Genetics: If you or your partner are near-sighted, your child has a higher chance of developing myopia too [3].
Screen Time & Close-Up Activities: Spending a lot of time on screens or doing close-up work can strain young eyes and may increase the risk of myopia [1][3].
Lack of Outdoor Time: Reduced time outside means less exposure to natural light, which has been linked to higher myopia rates in kids [1][4].
Signs Your Child Might Have Myopia
Myopia can be challenging to catch early, so look out for these common signs:
Blurry vision for distant objects
Squinting or frowning when trying to focus on faraway things
Frequent headaches or eye strain
Sitting close to the TV or holding books very close
Struggling with schoolwork, especially when they can’t see the board clearly
Prevention Tips to Slow Myopia
While you can’t prevent myopia entirely, these steps can help slow its onset or progression:
Encourage Outdoor Play: Time outside has been shown to help reduce the risk of developing myopia in kids [1].
Limit Screen Time: Reduce close-up work and encourage regular breaks, following the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.
Proper Lighting: Make sure your child has good lighting for reading or studying to reduce eye strain.
Eye-Healthy Diet: Include foods rich in vitamins A, C, D, and lutein to support eye health.
Regular Eye Exams: Early detection is key, so schedule routine eye exams to keep track of any vision changes.
Treatment Options for Kids with Myopia
If your child is diagnosed with myopia, several treatment options can help:
Eyeglasses: Corrective lenses are the most common option for clearer distance vision, and special designs can even slow myopia progression [4].
Contact Lenses: Options like multifocal contacts or Ortho-K lenses, which are worn overnight to reshape the cornea, can help manage myopia.
Atropine Eye Drops: Low-dose atropine drops have shown promise in slowing down myopia progression in children [5].
Combination Approaches: Sometimes, combining multiple treatments can yield the best results, so consult with an eye care professional to find the best approach for your child.
Final Thoughts
Myopia in children is a growing concern, but with the right knowledge, parents can play an active role in managing it. Early detection, lifestyle changes, and effective treatments can all help protect your child’s vision and long-term eye health. If you notice any signs of myopia, don’t hesitate to consult an eye care provider—taking action early can make a world of difference.

How to Fix Your Broken Sunglasses
With the rising cost of quality eyewear and the convenience of shopping for sunglasses online in Sri Lanka, it is essential to know how to maintain and repair your favourite pairs. Whether you have invested in designer frames or picked up a stylish pair from a local store, this guide will help you tackle common sunglasses repairs at home.
Common Problems and Solutions
Loose or Missing Screws
One of the most frequent issues with sunglasses in Sri Lanka is loose or missing screws. To fix this:
Purchase a small eyeglass repair kit.
Use the appropriate screwdriver size.
Apply a tiny drop of clear nail polish to the screw threads to prevent future loosening.
Tighten gently to avoid stripping the screw.
Broken Frames
Popular among collections of men’s sunglasses in Sri Lanka, plastic frames can sometimes crack or break. Here is how to address this:
Clean the broken edges thoroughly.
Apply super glue specifically designed for plastics.
Hold the pieces together firmly for at least 2 minutes.
Let it cure for 24 hours before wearing.
Scratched Lenses
For women’s sunglasses Sri Lankav enthusiasts, scratched lenses can be particularly frustrating. Try these solutions:
For minor scratches, use eyeglass cleaner and microfiber cloth.
Apply a small amount of non-abrasive toothpaste.
Gently buff in circular motions.
Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
Bent Frames or Arms
To fix bent metal frames:
Gently apply pressure in the opposite direction.
Use warm (not hot) water to make plastic frames more pliable.
Adjust slowly to avoid breakage.
Ensure both sides are symmetrical.
Prevention Tips
Always store your sunglasses in a protective case.
Clean them regularly with appropriate cleaning solutions.
Avoid placing them on top of your head.
Remove them with both hands to maintain frame alignment.
When to Seek Professional Help
While many repairs can be done at home, some situations require professional attention:
Complex frame damage
Lens replacement.
Anti-reflective coating issues.
Warranty-covered repairs.
Remember that prevention is better than cure. Proper care and maintenance can significantly extend the life of your sunglasses, saving you money and the hassle of repairs in the long run. If you are unsure about attempting a repair, consult an eyewear professional to avoid potentially damaging your sunglasses further.

How to Find the Right Pair of Eyeglasses
A Friendly Guide to Buying Your First Pair of Glasses
Eyeglasses are used for vision correction to fix refractive issues in the eyes like nearsightedness, farsightedness and presbyopia. Since vision clarity is essential to effectively correspond with our external world, these vision aids need to be worn by people with weak eyesight almost all their waking hours. Thus the importance of finding the right pair of glasses becomes crucial. Here are 4 tips to help you pick the right ones:
Get correct prescription - Your eyeglass prescription needs to be correct and up to date. Wearing wrong prescription will lead to eye strain, discomfort and headaches. Visit your eye care specialist for vision screening to get the right prescription before purchasing new eyeglasses.
Frame that works for your face shape - Try frames in different shapes, sizes and colours to find the one that looks great on you and perfectly complements your face shape. Eyeglasses are something you will be wearing everyday to work, school and even social gatherings. So, make sure you feel confident wearing them.
Material of the eyeglass frame - Eyeglass frame materials come in multiple options like plastic, metal and even wood. The most popular ones are plastic frames as they are durable and easy to maintain. If you prefer metal frames, make sure stay away from anything that could cause an allergic reaction.
Material of the eyeglass lenses - Just like frames, eyeglass lenses too come with options in material used and polycarbonate lenses are considered the best buy as they are thin and lightweight yet strong and designed for impact resistance.
If you are a first time eyeglass buyer, take assistance from your spectacle dispensing optician and let them know about your preferences. They can help you with the process of finding the right glasses that look great on you and also match your lifestyle. Right eyeglasses for vision correction will offer comfort, convenience as well as aesthetic value.

Where to Get Professional Eye Testing Near Me: A Complete Overview
Maintaining optimal eye health is crucial for overall well-being. Regular eye tests can detect early signs of conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, ensuring timely treatment and better outcomes. Finding a professional and reliable eye testing near me can be a daunting task, given the myriad of options available. This overview aims to guide you through the various types of eye care providers, what to expect during an eye exam, and tips on choosing the best service for your needs.
Types of Eye Care Providers
Optometrists
Optometrists are primary healthcare professionals for the eye. They perform comprehensive eye exams, prescribe corrective lenses, and diagnose common eye conditions. Optometrists can also provide pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeries.
Ophthalmologists
Ophthalmologists are medical doctors specializing in eye and vision care. They are trained to perform eye exams, diagnose and treat all eye diseases, prescribe medications, and perform eye surgery. If you have a serious eye condition, you may need to see an ophthalmologist.
Opticians
Opticians are technicians trained to design, verify, and fit eyeglass lenses and frames, contact lenses, and other vision-correcting devices. They use prescriptions supplied by optometrists or ophthalmologists but do not perform eye exams or diagnose eye conditions.
What to Expect During an Eye Exam
Comprehensive Eye Examination
A comprehensive eye exam involves a series of tests to evaluate your vision and check for eye diseases. Here’s what typically happens:
Medical History Review: The doctor will ask about your medical history, including any eye problems, medications, and family history of eye conditions.
Visual Acuity Test: This measures how clearly you see. You will be asked to read letters on a chart from a distance.
Refraction Test: This determines your exact prescription for glasses or contact lenses.
Eye Muscle Test: This checks the muscles that control eye movement.
Pupil Response Test: This evaluates how your pupils respond to light.
Visual Field Test: This checks for blind spots in your peripheral vision.
Slit-Lamp Examination: This allows the doctor to see the structures at the front of your eye under high magnification.
Retinal Examination: Also known as ophthalmoscopy, this test allows the doctor to examine the back of your eye, including the retina, optic disc, and underlying blood vessels.
Specialized Tests
Depending on your age, medical history, and symptoms, the eye doctor might recommend additional tests such as:
Tonometry: Measures the pressure inside your eyes to check for glaucoma.
Dilation: Special drops are used to widen your pupils, allowing the doctor to get a better view of the internal structures of your eyes.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT): Uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina, helpful in diagnosing conditions like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Choosing the Right Eye Care Provider
Proximity and Convenience
Finding an eye care provider close to your home or workplace can make regular visits more manageable. Consider the provider’s office hours and whether they offer appointments outside of typical working hours to accommodate your schedule.
Credentials and Experience
Verify the credentials of the eye care professionals. Optometrists should have an O.D. (Doctor of Optometry) degree, while ophthalmologists should hold an M.D. or D.O. with specialization in ophthalmology.
