you know what’s good? soft content. you know what i don’t do enough of? soft contenti could do an entire headcanons post about this but i also just really wanted to write this scene.thank you!always taking requests/suggestions!

Finals week is always when things get stressful. Classes in general were nothing, as far as Tim was concerned-- he's pretty good at focusing on what he needs to these days, with the new meds, and the fact he's quite enjoying being (mostly) in charge of his own schedule. There's a few ensemble meetings to worry about, the general practice on multiple instruments to enjoy himself with... and, well, rationing his time between his music requirements and the photography final projects he keeps putting off.

He's leaning back on his couch and fidgeting with his (rented) guitar, fixing the tuning and checking the strings almost absentmindedly. The TV is on to local news and he's alone in his apartment, though he's glancing back at the clock on an average of about every fifty seconds to make sure his timing's right.

He knows he has no reason to count. Jay and Brian aren't the sort to be late, and they'd agreed to spend the night "studying" at his apartment (they're going to drink and probably fool around more than they're going to do any studying, because finals week is fucking stressful and why not get relief where you can find it), but he can't quite help the nerves in his chest. His mind conjures cancellations or missed reservations even when he knows nothing's wrong--

He strums the guitar again, checks the sound, adjusts the capo and then pulls the guitar off his lap to rest it delicately against the couch.

Jay had a final at 3:30. Some screenwriting related something or other, maybe submitting a portfolio-- Brian was going to pick him up at 5 and get the three of them dinner and then come back to Tim's apartment. The timing should be fine, and so it should be any minute, and Tim holds his breath--

Key in the door. He exhales and lets himself relax.

"We're here!" Brian calls through the doorway like he's got to announce it particularly far; Tim's got a small apartment, compared to Jay's and then Brian's house.

"Brought you a sandwich." Jay steps in behind him as Tim leans back to look over the back of the couch towards the two of them. Brian's dropping the paper bag on the kitchen counter to dole them out, and Jay's dropping his backpack by the door.

"Thanks." Tim smiles slightly and allows himself to relax, moving to stand up and greet them both.

Jay's the first to close the distance, leaning on the shorter man with an audible sigh.

"That bad, huh?" Tim questions as he wraps his arms around Jay's middle, more or less able to hold him up.

"I think it'll be okay. I did some good work this semester and the professor likes me, so it should be fine, but who knows."

"He's convinced he bombed it." Brian says, dryly. Tim glances over as he approaches, and tilts his head up for a kiss. Brian obliges gladly, and then gently pulls Jay away. "Even though all three of us know this little shit has a 4.0."

"Out of luck." Jay elbows Brian in the side with an audible huff.

"Luck generally implies you're not working very hard, Jay." Tim points out, and Jay's response is a noise somewhere between a huff and an agreement.

The three of them settle on the couch after a pause, sinking down into the usual spots-- Tim in the middle, Jay on one side, Brian on the other. Tim lays his head against Brian's shoulder, nestling under his chin while Jay leans on Tim, his fingers clinging loosely to Tim's shirt.

Jay's the one to grab the remote, and so the channels begin to flick through anything available to find something that interests him.

Tim lays back against Brian and shuts his eyes, resting his hand over Jay's and shifting in order to thread his fingers through Jay's. He feels the tension leaving him slowly, comfortably pressed between them, feeling Jay's fingers rubbing against his own and the steady sound of Brian's breathing.

This is good. This is better. This is what he prefers. He breathes deep. He'll figure out the rest of his projects at some point, he thinks, maybe ask Jay for help with his photography. Have Brian listen to whatever the fuck kind of nonsense he puts together before his one-on-one with his tutor.

Brian shifts around behind him to throw an arm over him and so scratch at the back of Jay's head with a small gesture, and Tim nestles his face a little more into Brian's shoulder.

"You wanna stop flipping channels and just pick something?""We might miss something decent.""You could just put a movie on.""That'd be easier."Do I get to pick?"

film !! obviously, as a film major, i absolutely love watching films both artistic/auteur and goofy ones (😍 the shrek movie). my favorite movie changes often, but my favorite directors will always be wes anderson, hayao miyazaki, mamoru hosada, akira kurosawa, edgar wright, and tim burton. 

edm, kpop, and lofi are my favorite genres of music !! i’ve always liked edm, but i recently found out in my freshman year of university (pre-covid) that i also really enjoy raving (thanks to some wonderful folks in my school’s vietnamese student association - vsa). illenium, seven lions, porter robinson, mitis, bts, twice, red velvet, loona, nct, frad, florence + the machine, sad boy with a laptop, zico, iu, bazzi, post malone, barnes blvd., dean, shaun, and ovan are some of my favorite artists !

webtoons and tiktok are also a fun way to pass my time !! some of my favorite webtoons are eleceed, edith, the croaking, yuna & kawachan, and love advice from the great duke of hell !

hey, i’m bri !! it’s been a while since i got back into studyblr really, i’ve been quite busy and to be honest, quite stressed ever since covid hit. it’s been really hard on me as a film student to transition to online and hybrid classes, so i’ve been MIA while trying to get my grip on things back in order. that being said, i’m really happy and excited to get back into things for studyblr and work hard together with the rest of the community in our studies !

DER GROßMANN  /  “SLENDERMAN” :   i have had several blogs for him in the past. next to pernicious, he is my second most reoccurring muse. for years, i have made it part of both of their canons that they are, in a sense, “together”. they are as close as close can be. they are all they have. they have been by each other’s sides for as long as time can recall. if one is without the other, it is likely the other is not far behind. together, they are conducting an experiment on the human race to see how far it can be pushed before it breaks. pernicious believes that he is all she needs. their relationship goes further, but that’s a rant for another day. if someone wanted to fill this roll, we’d have to talk a lot about my ideas of canon. or we could go off my books and try other things! but this is what is generally canon for me.

EVERYMANHYBRID

THE HABIT :   ooooh boy. in my mind, der großmann and habit were associates by bargain. pernicious was sort of a third party to this, as on occasion, she would deal with habit when großmann was otherwise disposed of. she does not like him. she does not enjoy being around him. she thinks his entire situation is detestable. she literally hates him with everything she is. and especially after he threatens her hubby. großmann literally has to hold her back so she doesn’t go and pick a fight. however, like the former, this can also be changed. 

THE RAKE :   actually hates this thing. has probably kicked it at some point. can also be modified.

VINNY :   though i really have no idea what interactions they would have, i would love to explore this tbh

EVAN :   same as above

TRIBETWELVE

FIREBRAND :   through former rp’s, firebrand was a fling for pernicious. he was completely unaware of who or what she was because of circumstances at the time. once he found out, things were cut short. she has neutral feeling towards him, though, fond memories. can also be modified.

OBSERVER :   in my mind, he is the same type of entity as pernicious and  großmann. however, he is regarded as an outcast of sorts, and pernicious strongly dislikes his tactics, and how he keeps purposefully fucking up everything she and großmann are trying to do. he has another entity that looks nearly identical to großmann. there are many of these. pernicious generally dislikes the observer. can also be modified.\

MARBLE HORNETS

TIM WRIGHT :   a subject that großmann focused on heavily. pernicious had little interaction with him, but spent plenty of time fucking with the inside of his head while großmann was otherwise occupied. she takes claim to the idea of giving him a mask. can also be modified.

ALEX KRAILE :   an asshole that großmann decided would be a good playing piece to get to tim. things kind of went to shit. pernicious had little interaction with him but believed he was too prideful, and that would be his downfall. can also be modified.

JAY MERICK :   pernicious and der großmann ‘s secondary subject until things went to shit. pernicious objected against taking him from the physical plane but großmann decided it was best. she personally saw to it that his body was disposed of properly. can also be modified.

“HOODY” / BRIAN :   a personal favourite of pernicious’s. a former charge, or “proxy” of großmann’s. she enjoyed the time she spent turning his brain to mush with großmann. though for reasons unknown, he was released, and allowed to have free will. pernicious occasionally checked up on him, though großmann deterred this behaviour. can also be modified.

MISC.

TYLER LOUCHESTER :   a leading researcher at an undisclosed center of otherworldly research. he has been her target for years. he has always been her target. he is to be observed, and untouched. 

PENNY :   who even is this. we don’t know. she took pernicious’s eyes. her sight. pernicious will kill her someday.
