so like we all know tim is a total car boy right? most of the robins are--they all love their shiny cars and vehicles and cycles etc. but I'm thinking abt how much the Hot Pink Barbiecore Supercycle LOVES TIM BACK.

i know he's only used it in YJ and it's been lost to multiple crises, but I'm thinking abt Dick in his Nightcycle Ducati, Jason on his Harley, and Tim rolling up in his magic sentient mash-up of a Mom Van and Monster Truck on Gotham roads and everyone having to take her seriously.

I also see him as kinda a Ducati boy, maybe a Panigale V4 because of the iconic red Ducati color but maybe that’s just me. I think he would fit well with Sports Motorcycles, like the speed of the Bmw 1000RR or the beauty of the Yamaha R1M.

I also Imagine that when he’s left alone in the Wayne manor he blasts Spotify, full volume with like ‘Poker Face’ or ‘Single Ladies’ and him singing at the top of his lungs.

Probably Dick or Tim are full of vides of him singing that could make them get what they want for a year by blackmailing him.

Or maybe when they have to get ready for a Gala i think of him taking hours in the bathroom and singing white girl music while he styles his hair.

Part I

By the time he made it back to his Ducati, things like blood loss and concussions had finally begun to settle over him like an uncomfortably thick blanket, making it hard to process. His vision swam, with multicolor specks threatening to take over.

So, maybe he was just a little worse for wear than originally anticipated.

He was so close to the Nest, if he could make it back soon, he could patch himself up without a fuss from his vigilante boyfriends. Afterwards they could all bundle up on the couch together, watching whatever horrible reality tv Jason was currently into. He could finally get that his body had been so desperately craving.

Unfortunately, his body seemed to have other ideas. His legs decided to give out just a step before his bike, sending him toppling down. Which, ow, fuck, that hurt. His ribs screamed, and the shrapnel embedded in his skin roared to life. What had been a dull ache, turned into a full, white-hot blaze.

Tim groaned, slumped over in the shadowed side-alley. His limbs were stiff and didn’t want to cooperate, and breathing… Well, breathing was another topic.

He forced himself to breathe slow, trying to ignore the catch of the shrapnel in his middle. It was the first time he needed to dig out shrapnel from himself, but this seemed to be worse. He lifted his hand from where it was currently holding pressure, more blood.

The last time, he had been a kid and it hadn’t been far beneath the skin. He had been talked him through it after a particularly rough run in with Batman. He had talked through removing the debris without nicking anything vital, how to disinfect and thread the needle for sutures, how to correctly pierce the skin without causing more damage.

As a 16 year old boy, it had been excruciating. Years later, the pain isn’t any less excruciating, it’s just…easier to work through. It’s easier to focus through the pain, run through calculations, or plans on how to improve the outcome in a future sitch.

He just needed to get back to his safe house.

Tim took a terse breath through his nose and peeled his hand away to look at the injuries. The impact of the explosion had caused metal fragments to fracture his body armor. He couldn’t tell how serious the injuries were. But if he were to go off the blood alone, it wasn’t looking particularly promising.

Dick and Jay were going to be pissed.

They couldn’t find him passed out again. The last time, Dick hadn’t let him out of his sight for nearly a week and, yes, that was included but not limited to bathroom breaks and showers. To be fair, he had a broken leg and 4 broken ribs, but still.

Jason had given him an earful and provided him with an overbearing amount of food and soft blankets (and had taken away his coffee privileges).

Passing out was not an option. He just needed a minute to get it together before trying to get up again when a hand touches his cheek.

They don’t manage to get a word out, before Tim is up and has them pinned on the ground. It’s purely instinct. They are flat on their back, with his knee driven into their belly. They let out a gwah when he knocks the wind out of them.

“Easy, it’s just me.” they wheezed, body remaining open and loose beneath him.

Tim blinked, his mind needing to process their voice, “Jay? Why are you here?”

Last he checked, Dick and Jay were supposed to be out of town for two more nights. Dick had gone off on a mission with the Titan’s and Jason had gone out on Official Red Hood Business ™ nearly two weeks ago with the expectation of all parties returning on Tuesday.

With the agreement that Tim would check in once every twelve hours (although Dick argued for more), Tim had been allowed to go on a recon mission for the first time since he and Jason had squared off, leaving him nearly dead and Jason with a guilt complex he was still apologizing for.

He had been itching for the same freedom he had before and he wasn’t going to ruin that.

“I think the bigger question is why are you here? It’s Tuesday.”

Tim didn’t lessen his hold on his vigilante boyfriend, “What do you mean? It’s Sunday. You aren’t supposed to be back yet.”

“Like hell it’s Sunday, we’ve been lookin’ everywhere for ya, Sugar. Dickybird is frantic, worried you ended up in a gutter dead or somethin’. Would you get off me now?” Jason sounded extra grumpy at this point but didn’t struggle in his hold.

He could have easily escaped but hadn’t pushed it.

“It’s Sunday,” Tim urged weakly. “You’re not supposed to be back yet.”

The world was beginning to spin again, the specks threatening to take over. He felt like he was going to be sick.

There was no way he had lost two whole days.

He had begun his official stake out on Friday. He had been watching and gathering intel through Saturday before making his move before the drop on Sunday (and subsequent minor explosion).

“The hell it is. Do you have another concussion? Because-” he finally got a good look at Tim, how pale his face was, how his hands were shaking, and paused, computing. “Is that blood? Why the fuck are you bleeding?”

“It’s nothing.” He repeats by rote.

Jason, obviously fed up with his shit, shifted out from under Tim, eyes wide behind his helmet.

Unfortunately, Tim was weak to his careful ministrations, and had to just let it happen. His body lost all fight. Sweat had begun to bead down his forehead and he realized just how chilled to the bone he was.

One moment, Jason was moving him and the next he was on the ground and didn’t remember the in between. His helmet sat beside him where he was sitting on the ground, lips moving. But all he could hear was the ringing in his ears from the explosion.

It was only when Jason put pressure on his middle, that he came back too.

“Jesus fucking christ, sugar, that’s a lot of blood.”

I want to write a motorcycle meet-cute roadtrip au for Chenford but the only problem is that I know next to nothing about actually riding motorcycles.

I have so many core ideas for the fic though…

Timeline would be when Tim first gets out of the army and before he joins the academy so he’s only 26/28. Then it’s also the summer between Lucy graduating high school and before she goes off to college so she’s 18.

They’d start the trip off solo and idk if I want them to meet in some other way but the idea came to me as if Tim was riding along the highway near some cliffs and watched someone dump their dog (yes it’s Kojo) and he pulls off the side of the road to save him from falling off the mountain when Lucy drives by and hears the dog’s crying and sees a lone bike off the shoulder. She gets off to help save them both and then they’re kind of stuck deciding what to do with the dog.

Since they’re both on a “soul searching” journey, they decide to ride together and take Kojo with them (I imagine Tim would have a bike that can take a side-car (Ural perhaps) whereas Lucy’s is a Suzuki or Ducati or something sleek and fast)

There’d be motel stays, one bed situations, diner visits, trouble with cops, eye contact, flirting, getting to know yous while falling in love with you. Tim’s angry and gruff, rejecting all companionship until he realizes how good for him it would be while Lucy searches for connection to herself and her place in the universe.

At some point, either one of their bikes would get wrecked or they’d do a short day trip thing where they only have one bike and Lucy rides as his backpack… lots of touching and teasing.

Idk if I’ll ever write the whole story but I want to so badly.

Bonus points if at the end of their journey, they decide to join the academy together or if Lucy goes off to college while Tim becomes a cop then they meet up again when she becomes his rookie a decade later.

“Shit.” Tim muttered, glancing at his phone that displayed a text from Horatio saying one thing: 911. He glances back up, a sorry expression on his face. “It’s fine, Tim.” She says before he can even begin to apologize. “But,” “Go. Horatio wouldn’t need you unless it was an emergency and you can make it up to me later.”

His brows furrow, he doesn’t want to leave, not when it’s their anniversary dinner, but god did he love how understanding she was about his job. “I will make it up to you.” He promises, quickly standing. Pulling out his wallet he quickly grabs his card and places it on the table. “Use my card, buy yourself whatever you want and I’ll see you at home, yeah?” He tells her, quickly leaning down and pressing their lips together. “Okay.” She murmurs, smiling as she watches as he begins to walk away.

“Text me if you need lunch!” She suddenly calls out, earning a few scandalized looks. “I will!” His near shout and thumbs up earns even more looks and she has to force an apologetic look on her face as one of the waiters approaches the table. Something told her that she’d have to buy herself dinner somewhere else with Tim’s card.

“Well, don’t you look fancy.” Delko says, when he gets to the scene of a jet crash. He rolls his eyes, “if this what you call fancy, I feel sorry for any woman you're with.” Both of Delko’s eyebrows raise and Callie who had overheard turns to look at Speed. “I think I have to agree with Delko.” Callie says. “Button up shirt, slacks, and what is that,” she pauses to step closer and takes an exaggerated whiff, “Well, I think I smell some cologne.” He scowls at her, “where’s H?” She smiles at him, “over where the pilot was found, he’s got your kit for you.” “Thanks.” He mutters, before heading over to where the boss is.

“Any survivors?” “Yes, all three on board. One pilot, two passengers.” “A jet for two people?” “I know.” He spots his kit just a foot away from H, but before he can get over to it, H is handing over one of the camera bags. “Anything I need to look out for besides the crash.” “All three were shot.” His eyebrows go up, “Are we thinking unsuccessful murder suicide.” “I don’t know what to think.” “Alright, I’ll start taking pictures.” —

He’s dead on his feet, eyes blurry, and jaw cracking from another yawn when he finally gets to his apartment nearly thirty-six hours later. It had to be some miracle that he hadn’t crashed his Ducati, but he wasn’t about to leave it at the lab.

He slumps against the door as he kicks off his shoes, groaning at how good it feels for them not to be trapped. He considers bending over to pull off his socks, but ends up toeing them off, he didn’t want to chance falling over.

Moving away from the front door, he kicks his shoes and socks away, unknowingly kicking his socks under an end table where he won’t find them for nearly a month. With another yawn, he wanders into his bedroom, unbuttoning his slacks and then pulling both his button up and undershirt off in the same go, grunting when the button up nearly becomes stuck around his head. He tosses the shirts in the general direction of his hamper before stripping off his slacks and briefs, tossing them the same way.

He turns his neck side to side, cracking it with a relieved groan. Eyes half closed, he crawls into bed, not surprised to feel the warmth of another body in it already. He is however surprised by what he feels.

“You're naked.” He mumbles, hand moving up her side to where her fourth rib is before sliding back down to her bare hip. “For me?” His lips quirk up at her laughter. “I think you're a little too tired for that.” “Never.” She hums, “go to sleep, Tim.” “Talk to me until I do?” “Of course.”

Yesterday's bit.

Today, Jason attempts to remove his boot from his mouth.

Jason squared his shoulders and stepped across the street.  There.  He was officially in Red Robin’s territory.  It really would ruin the dramatic moment if Tim didn’t show up soon within the next few seconds.

Fortunately, Jason could hear the muted roar of Red Robin’s Ducati as he cornered onto Willingham Boulevard and pulled to a stop in front of Jason.  Baby Bird had *style*, Jason had to give him that.

“What are you doing here?” Tim demanded through his helmet.  

Jason sighed.  “Are you hungry?”

“No,” Tim said, but rolled his eyes when his stomach audibly growled.  Jason tried not to smirk too hard.  Tim reliably drank too much coffee and forgot to eat real food.  “Fine,” he said. “Yes.”

“I’ll pick up some Big Belly Burger and meet you on the roof of the Glitter Factory,” he offered, referring to the strip club across the street.

“Yeah, okay,” Tim said grudgingly, shifting his weight over the bike.  “No onions.”

“The onions are the best part,” Jason protested but Tim was already on the move.

It took about fifteen minutes to grab a couple of double cheeseburger meals (no onions for Princess Timothy) with large fries and circle back to the rooftop of the [building name].  Tim was sitting on the edge and he watched Jason approach suspiciously, like Jason was about to push him off or something.

That was totally uncalled for, Tim’s burger wasn’t worth stealing.

“Here,” Jason said, handing Tim one of the bags.  “No onions.”

“Thanks,” Tim said.  “To what do I owe this generosity?”

Jason took his time sitting down next to Tim on the rooftop and inspected his own burger to ensure it had all requisite toppings before taking a bite.

“It’s been pointed out to me that I may have been a shit to you,” he admitted on the swallow.

“What was that?” Tim asked.  Jason rolled his eyes.

“I was a shit to you.  When you, you know.”

“Came out to you?”  Tim shrugged and bit into his own burger.  “Whatever. Thanks for not punching me in the face I guess?”

Jason sighed. “I’m not that guy,” he said, feeling exactly like that guy.  “I was trying to be like, you know, cool.  Sure you’re gay.  Or bi.  Or whatever.  You’re still the same guy I like to give a hard time.”  Nope.  “Like to rag on.  Tease.”  Shit, now it was weird.

Tim was snort-laughing into his burger.  “You have zero game.  Negative game.”

“I guess I’m a fighter, not a lover,” Jason said, scratching his chin. That much was true.  He was almost 20 and sex wasn't even one of his top five thoughts at any given time. 

“I don't even know what I am,” Tim sighed, in a change of tone. He kicked at Jason's boot. 

“You're smart as fuck and true to yourself and Cannon Fodder doesn't know how lucky he is to have you,” Jason said without thinking. 

Tim turned his head and stared at Jason. “That's the nicest thing you’ve ever said about me,” he said suspiciously. “Except the part where you called my boyfriend Cannon Fodder.”

Jason shrugged.  “I don’t make the rules,” he said.  “Are we cool, now?”

Drake looked like he was chewing over multiple insulting comebacks but couldn’t figure out which one to go with.  Finally he looked out over the city and said, “We’re cool.”

“Okay,” Jason said.  “Good.”

you asked about batfam & motorcycles and hooo boy do i got thoughts!

a lot of people write batman especially as having a ducati. this drives me INSANE at every level. i do not think ducatis are particularly practical bikes for what batman needs. HOWEVER and more importantly, batman would never have a stock bat-bike. he would make his own shit! the whole batfamily -- i think -- would have insane custom bikes. bruce wayne might have a ducati because they're expensive status symbols, but beyond that it's custom all the way.

while this is not the greatest canon example it's worth noting the amazing bike in the matt reeves batman is a blend of a bunch of bikes, with large chunks of the design coming from ducati but the guts coming from yamaha and suzuki if memory serves. which makes more sense! they're more durable, less fiddly. easier to mod. etc. however the ducati aesthetics are more batman-esque.

i think tim and dick probably have something closer to yamaha or suzuki design-wise. they tend to be more paired down, more sleek, which fits the characters! however, again, i think both bikes are essentially custom, as would make the most sense for any bat.

you brought up jason in your tags & i think he's REALLY interesting. because no way is red hood riding a custom batbike. i personally headcanon him riding a harley -- something loud, flashy, a little obnoxious but frankly harleys are also what biker gangs ride & i think that would appeal to jason -- but i got no beef w your suzuki hc either (frankly idk enough about suzuki to say one way or another!). i think at this point it's worth it to note that dinah lance rides a harley canonically: some sort of vintage sportster it looks like. i see jason on something bigger w a lot more power.

but ANYWAY. the point is, nearly everyone writes the batfam riding ducatis which i think is a totally impractical choice. plus if you're batman, all your shit's gonna be totally custom anyway. if i did a lot more research into bikes, i could probably figure out how certain characters build different bikes & what the purpose might be for different builds etc but i like. cannot be bothered and am not rlly the person to ask about the nitty gritty. and tbh i am far more of a car person anyway -- a lot of this comes out of extensive discussion w various motorcyle people in my life, most of whom go 'batman would build his own bike duh' so. there is that

Thank you for the detailed answer, this is lovely. I know next to nothing about bikes except Harleys are the classic biker dude look. I think Red Hood would have a cool Harley, but I wanted to give Jason in his civilian identity something different. He seems like the kind of person who would want something easy to repair on his own, without a lot of the plastic paneling that sport bikes seem to have.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Pembalap Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo) memberikan kejutan dengan meraih kemenangan balapan pendek Sprint pada rangkaian Grand Prix Thailand di Sirkuit Internasional Chang, Sabtu.

Bastianini menjadi yang tercepat di depan dua pemburu gelar juara dunia musim ini, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) dan rekan satu timnya di tim pabrikan, Francesco Bagnaia, yang masing-masing finis di posisi dua dan tiga.

Adapun Bastianini unggul 1,357 detik atas Martin dan 2,372 detik atas Bagnaia setelah balapan solid dan kering di Buriram.
