Facts About Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is also known as the tiger country. From November to March is the best time to explore Ranthambore. The park is named after a huge fort that towers over the park. This park has Banas River to its North and Chambal River to its South. Ranthambore Park is a combination of dry tropical forests, lakes, streams, rocky terrain and grassy meadows. The park also has the second largest banyan tree in the country. The common frog is the only amphibian species that can be found in the Ranthambore National Park. The park is closed from July to September due to the monsoon season and it is also the mating season for tigers. This park gained the protection of “Project Tiger’ in 1974.

24 years ago I was part of the Memorial High School graduating class of 1991. Where did the time go? So much has happened since then. Many of us have gotten married, divorced, remarried, have kids.
