I am so glad that Akira Amano is not making Toto’s character a bumbling one but a capable police investigator.
Meaning, Ron sees Toto with his capabilities and acknowledges them.
Happy Pride! Truly.

It has been 131 days since the Kuroshitsuji hiatus was announced.
Betty the tiger is enjoying another leisurely day at the expansive, well-funded wildlife sanctuary where Sebastian took her after rescuing her from Noah’s Ark Circus because the young master refused to let his demon keep her at the manor. Here, she is free to roam to her heart’s content, without needing to perform for jeering humans at the crack of a whip.
#kuroshitsuji#kuroshitsuji hiatus#betty#sebastian michaelis#i am aware that a wildlife sanctuary that offers proper care and environmental enrichment is probably anachronistic#but we can bend the rules for the sake of vibes :3

This article isn't solely about the environment, but some of the things there are, so I'll summarize them for you :)
Bhutan and India boosted tiger numbers
According to Bhutan's latest tiger census, tigers have increased their population from 103 to 131 since 2015 - which is a rise of 27 per-cent.
This follows the country's major interventions to help the wild tiger population, including community based tiger conservation programmes, habitat improvement and human-wildlife conflict management projects.
Tigers are, of course, still at risk, but Bhutan's dedication to help and preserve their population is inspiring.
India has also reported a six pre-cent rise in their wild tiger population since last year. The country is believed to be populated by 3,682 tigers now.
Germany’s €49 travel pass
A part of a green new policy in Germany, a €49 (£42)-a-month pass allowing unlimited travel on buses and trains in Germany.
This will result in about 25 per-cent rise (per year) in the numbers of people choosing public transport instead of cars - a low carbon way of transport (according to the national rail operator Deutsche Bahn (DB)).
The Deutschlandticket launched on 1 May as a plan to lower the cost of living and encourage people to take the train instead of driving.
It seems to already have some great results: The Association of German Transport Companies says that almost 10 million people had used the pass by the end of June. DB has also said that trains to holiday destinations were busier this summer.
UK crop yields rose despite a fall in fertiliser use
New data from the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) revealed that UK crop yields rose last year, despite a sharp decline in fossil fuel fertiliser use. Many believed that these fertilisers were necessary, but this data proves that belief wrong.
According to Defra, wheat, barley, oilseed rape and sugar beet yields rose by 2.4 per cent in 2022, while fertiliser use fell by a reported 27 per cent.
These artificial fertilisers are made using natural gas, and because the prices soared in 2022, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, farmers had to either use much less of them, or embrace more natural alternatives.
England’s plastic bag charge was hailed a success
Since the government in England forced supermarkets to charge 5p a plastic bag, there's been a 98 per-cent reduction of single use plastic bags.
That’s according to figures from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, which introduced the charge in 2015, then increased it to 10p in 2021.
Environmental campaigners welcomed the figures, but urged the UK government not to row back on other green policies, including a deposit return scheme for plastic bottles and rules to make plastic producers contribute to clean-up costs. Both policies have been delayed until 2025.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Let me know, what good news have yo read or heard about lately?

SCPs that would make good imaginary friends, Part 1
I got asked for SCPs, and I have a LOT of bookmarked articles! First and foremost, I'll do my folder of favorites!
049, The plague doctor - My main coping mechanism when Covid first started! He has a calm voice and wants nothing more than your health, even if its old fashioned health. Canonically unable to touch anyone, but you can change that if needed!
111, Dragonsnails - You read that right! Dragon Snails! The hottest Wondertainment product with six different breeds you can breed together if you want! They're small enough to be safe in ANY home. Train them well!
131, Eye Pods - Easy shapes to imagine, great for people with low visualization skills. Very curious and just want to watch you and keep you well looked after
408, Illusory Butterflies - A hivemind of tiger butterflies that can form themselves into illusions of anything needed for themselves Or You.
529, Josie the Half Cat - She's just the front half of a cat! Don't worry, no gorey back half. Just a void! She loves cheese.
662, Mr Deeds - Easy for those who have a hard time imagining detailed personalities. He's a butler who's only purpose is to do what you ask of him! He could be a good addition to a group of existing friends, or just on his own. He could very well help care for your other imaginary friends, making you have to worry less when they aren't with you.
1230, A Hero Is Born - (WARNING For mentioned suicide in fake reality, 'real' suicide, and using suicide as a means to manipulate someone in experiment 5 and its logs. I promise its a very good read.) A green book that makes you dream an incredible fantasy story once you sleep! I'm sure you can easily adjust the form to fit your needs, as the Book Keeper is an absolute sweet man.
1550, Custom Pets - Another amazing Wondertainment product! All you need is the patented eggs and put them anywhere you'd like, and soon they'll hatch into a form perfectly evolved to its environment!
2428, Mr Mad - From the Wondertainment 'Little Misters' Line! He's the perfect companion for someone with psychosis, as he's canonically able to battle hallucinations and delusions!

The first women, the "feminids," began their labor activities without any teachers. They had to learn everything the hard way, sustained only by persistence, courage, wits, and collective ingenuity. They learned some things from close observation of living creatures in nature. As Mason sees it, both sexes probably learned in this manner, but as different sexes they learned different things.
About the male sex he writes: "In contact with the animal world, and ever taking lessons from them, men watched the tiger, the bear, the fox, the falcon- learned their language and imitated them in ceremonial dances." Then he adds:
But women were instructed by the spiders, the nest builders, the storers of food and the workers in clay like the mud wasp and the termites. It is not meant that these creatures set up schools to teach dull women how to work, but that their quick minds were on the alert for hints coming from these sources. . .. It is in the apotheosis of industrialism that woman has borne her part so persistently and well. At the very beginning of human time she laid down the lines of her duties, and she has kept to them unremittingly. (ibid., pp. 2-3)
Through these manifold labor activities, the minds of women developed at a more rapid pace than those of men. Already more alert because of their maternal functions, women speeded up their intellectual capacities through their ramified social production. Briffault writes:
The primitive human female, like the animal female, is far more wary, sagacious and ingenious than the male, who is dull and stupid by comparison. Her maternal functions have in the course of a long evolution developed an alertness, a circumspection, an ingenuity, a constructive aptitude, which are foreign to masculine development. The female is accordingly in primitive conditions, not only the equal intellectually of the male, but often his actual superior. . . . it is no wonder that the savage habitually goes to his women-folk for advice. ( The Mothers, vol. I, p. 490)
The productive record of primitive women has been underestimated and neglected because of the assumption by many anthropologists that man's work has always been the most important. This has resulted in a distorted picture of primitive life and labor. Pages are filled with descriptions of the hunting and fighting activities of men, their blood rites, their games and ceremonies, while the activities of the women are slighted.
As W.I. Thomas explains this, the "unusual esteem" paid to "the destructive activities of the male" is due to the fact that man's exploits were "of a more striking and sensational character, appealed to the emotions more, and secured the attention and the admiration of the public more than the 'drudgery' of the woman" (Sex and Society, p. 131). It is a common mistake to conceive of primitive woman's work as "drudgery" in the modern sense of the exploitation and oppression of working women.

Every Dredge Aberration (2024), Part 5
Gnashing Perch
Encyclopedia #130
Aberrant form of oceanic perch
Description:
Eyeless and mindless. Driven only by the desire to consume. A purpose satiated many times over.
Comment: A rose by another name, gone sour, but bearing thorns all the same. Like those above, and like those below- once dangling from the hook they become just another example of reckless hunger’s final destination… straight into the jaws of a greater monstrosity.
How to catch: Despite oceanic sitting in the sweeter name, the Gale’s rosefish prefer to linger in coastal depths from dawn to dusk. Even the most basic of a rod, or net, can outmatch the gnasher.
Flayed mackerel
Encyclopedia # 131
Aberrant form of tiger mackerel
Description:
Rended flesh with muscle and bone exposed. This gory mess of a fish can't have lived like this for long.
Comment: It’s unclear what sort of changes the rift’s influence has inflicted this poor grey. Either we are witnessing a body being unmade by malevolence, or, perhaps its wounds are completely natural, while its continued survival is its truely twisted curse.
How to catch: Tiger mackerel’s habit is none much different from oceanic perch around the cliffs. Haul or trawl them in daylight at coastal depth.
Bearded mackerel
Encyclopedia #132
Aberrant form of tiger mackerel
Description:
The wispy tendrils sprouting from its mouth and flanks continue to writhe long after the fish has stopped flailing.
Comment: At last! It took us long enough to run aground something like this- bountiful barbels appearing in true lovecraftian fashion. Like before, this victim also sparks a silent question about its affliction. While the new additions could possibly be a parasitic drag, it’s potentially more likely they too extend the fish’s survival, serving as excellent distractions to less intelligent predators.
How to catch: ^^^
Scouring Bass
Encyclopedia #133
Aberrant form of black sea bass
Description:
Shapes swirl inside bulging, clouded eyes. Blinded by the light of the surface, but perfectly suited to searching the depths.
Comment: That’s a pity. He won’t be needing them where he’s going.
How to catch: In similar fashion to arrow squid, the black bass are night feeders. Prowl the coastal waters of Gale Cliffs to find one of these on your hook or in your net.
Gelatinous Stonefish
Encyclopedia #134
Aberrant form of stonefish
Description:
Flesh and scales intent on shuffling away from a creature struggling to maintain its mortal form.
Comment: Oh dear, the poor thing was given the blobfish treatment, even though it’s merely a reef dweller. Quite a cruel twist of irony for something that is called stonefish.
How to catch: Haul or trawl by daylight. They live in shallow water by the cliffs.
Enthralled Stonefish
Encyclopedia #135
Aberrant form of stonefish
Description:
A hollowed husk, hosting a hostile dweller. The eyes inside begin their search for a safer vessel.
Comment: I hate this. I love this. A deliciously horrible implication. To think the fisherman actually allows these things into the cargo hold and can still sleep at night…
How to catch: ^^^

Tiger Shark
Name: Tiger Shark
Scientific Name: Galeocerdo cuvier
Family: Carcharhinidae
Size: Length (10-14 feet), Weight (850-1400 pounds)
Location: Found in warm temperate and tropical waters all over the world
Fatalities: 131 attacks and 34 fatalities recorded in history
Conservation Status: Near Threatened
Fun Fact: The Tiger Shark is the fourth largest shark, behind the Whale Shark, Basking Shark, and Great White Shark
Infamous for tearing Bethany Hamilton’s arm off, the Tiger Shark has a reputation for being in the top three of the species of sharks with the most attacks on humans. Tiger sharks eat anything. And I mean, anything. Tiger sharks have been found with plastic bags, burlap sacks, and even license plates in their stomachs. Anything also means human flesh and bones too. Tiger sharks are known to be aggressive towards humans. As the garbage cans of the seas, Tiger sharks aren’t afraid to sink their teeth into anything, including you. However, most Tiger shark attacks on humans have been a case of mistaken identity. Mistaking a surfer for food.
Tiger sharks and humans tangle quite a bit, as they’re the sharks with the 2nd highest number of attacks on humans, second only to the fearsome Great White. The shallow, coastal waters that the Tiger sharks tend to inhabit puts surfboards and surfers on the menu.
The Tiger shark has one of the largest bite forces in all the animal kingdom, as several hundreds pounds per square inch. This nasty bite is what allows the Tiger shark to tear through anything that crosses its path really: metal, plastic, bone.

Monday, 18th June 2023 - Procrastinating chores
Mother woke me up this morning saying she wanted me to do four things;
1. Clean the summerhouse
2. Hoover the house
3. Put toilet duck down the toilets
4. Do my ironing
I only just finished 4 - I spent most of my day outside with Harvey or on call with him. Alison messaged me at about ten asking if I was going outside and if so if I could not rush so that she and Harvey could be alone together. I didn't tell him this, but he probably picked up on it, as he messaged me at some point asking me to go out and meet them - so I did. Alison had to be home by 12, so we wandered back to hers and then Harvey and I went and brought 4 lucozades for £2.50 (fuckin bargain), before heading to Mattson's to bully him into going outside. It didn't work. Lad had a tech exam this morning and was probably exhausted, but he has messaged Alison and I asking if we're free tomorrow, so I might be seeing him.
After our failure at getting Mattson to come outside, Harvey and I headed toward a park near mine, which has a tree in it nicknamed the "Cath Makeout Tree" by the council.
Actually, I made out with Mattson at a different tree in that park as well, but oh well.
We got there, and on it was scrawled a purple heart surrounding several different initials - C + J, C + M, C + S, C + R, C + W, courtesy of Bella. I'd been told before that that was there, but I didnt genuinely believe it until I saw it, and stared, open-mouthed at it, muttering "the little fucks" while Harvey giggled as he figured out what it was.
We continued to try and bully Mattson into coming outside, without success, until we decided it would probably be more worth our time if we went home and just sat on a discord call.
So that's what we did. Harvey played warthunder, I watched Rick and Morty (he's been bugging me into watching it for absolutely ages) and ate my lunch, and finally when I left the call at about 16:10 did I actually do what my mum had told me to do through today- plus feeding the cat.
Also, a bunch of clothes came today in the mail from Shein for when we go to Mexico in August - which I'm super hyped for, it's going to be incredible (but updates will be irregular while I'm there because of the time difference-). There's still another lot of clothes on their way, which include a genuinely gorgeous red dress I am so hyped to try when it comes. I still have to tidy my room though in preparation for college - it's an absolute monstrosity at the moment, and I intend to spend most of tomorrow morning tidying it if I don't go out and wreck havoc with Mattson and Alison (unlikely, we all just bully eachother)
Bonus(not for my dad tho): My dad has had a very unlucky day. First he got a puncture while cycling to work, then the handle of his favorite tiger tank 131 mug broke off and the mug sliced his three middle fingers, and then as he was talking about his bad day to my mum when he got home, he dropped his phone and now it's cracked. Can we have an F for my dad please he's had a rough day-
For now tho imma go - wish some luck for Matty tho, they're playing the new Zelda game at the moment and though it looks awesome it also sounds fucking difficult.
