Let us assume that at the end of the season Loki meets up with Thor in the Sacred Timeline. We have all focussed on how Thor is going to react to seeing Loki back from the dead (again), but what I really want to know is how is Loki going to react to learning that he has a niece now?

So, I forgot that Lady Death, the cosmic being, the personification of Death.
A Cosmic Beying is Beyond a god. Thor: Love and Thunder actually showed us her statue with her cosmic being brethren.
The clearest version we see of Death is the moment Jane decides to sacrifice her life.

Hello, Rio!
Tumblr media
Again, how fitting Jane decides to sacrifice her life in front of Lady Death's statue.
ETA: Just wanted to add, we actually don't know yet if Rio is Lady Death OR just a personification of Lady Death, aka one of her Reapers.
We just know, for the Witches, Rio is Death.

Okay now I’ve definitely decided Mobius is a single Dad and Loki will adopt his child/children and they’ll reunite with post Love and Thunder Thor and Love will have a cousin or cousins to play with and Thor will be all Chris Hemsworth level parenting about it, like so,
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Loki will be the most over anxious, worrisome, overprotective parent imaginable and Mobius will tell him to relax, they’ll be fine and and and….yup I’ve made myself cry

(Mild spoilers for Deadpool and Wolverine ahead) I thought Deadpool and Wolverine was fun, but i'm lowkey pissed off that it's getting praised for the same things that got Taika Waititi death threats for having in Thor: Love and Thunder. I'm not saying T:L&T was a brilliant movie, but Marvel dudebros act like the whole thing was an unforgivable sin! Even now, people are still unreasonably mad about it.
To give a few examples:
T:L&T has a scene where the CGI of a floating head hologram is not great, and it gets so much criticism for that. D&W has a scene where Deadpool's katana clearly clips straight through his body, which a lot of people noticed but weren't anywhere near as mad about it. Critiscising these kinds of flaws in both movies is good, but only focusing on the flaws of T:L&T is unfair.
T:L&T has been criticised for having too many jokes/ not being serious enough. Yet D&W has so many more jokes/ less seriousness than T:L&T, and people love it. The Thor movies have always had jokes and ridiculous moments, so it's not like T:L&T was a complete genre flip.
The jokes in T:L&T and D&W have a very similar style, D&W just has more r-rated ones. T:L&T briefly showing giant screaming goats is too silly, but multiple scenes of Dogpool in D&W is great (both are fine). T:L&T is bad/ disrespecting the MCU for having tongue-in-cheek, mockery of the genre jokes. Meanwhile, D&W is praised for having 4th wall jokes about the MCU, purposely silly cameos, jabs at DC, and jokes about how multiverses are bad. People love it! Personally, I thought the serious moments in T:L&T were more impactful than those in D&W, which balanced out its light and dark moments better. But that's just my preference.
I'm not saying D&W is getting no backlash. It is, but the overwhelming response is positive, and a lot of the same people who passionately hated T:L&T love D&W. I really did have fun watching it! I'm also not saying D&W is a bad movie or claiming that T:L&T is better than it. I'm just pointing out that there is a hell of a lot of bias there.
Some of this bias must be because people have more nostalgia over Wolverine and some of the cameos in D&W than characters in T:L&T. Mostly, I think the bias is just plain hatred for the fact that T:L&T is a Taika Waititi movie. Certain Marvel dudebros can't stand to see this indigenous, jewish creator being successful! They don't like that Taika is consistently respectful about including minorities too. Sure, I like that D&W at least includes some cool minority characters briefly, but was the use of the r slur and all the offending the woke mob jokes necessary? Nah. People who don't like Taika went into watching T:L&T expecting it to be bad, and everything confirmed it, whereas they had the opposite expectations for D&W, so they loved it (confirmation bias). I'm sorry, but the reaction to D&W compared to T:L&T just proves to me that Taika and anyone else involved with T:L&T deserved better than the vitriol they got.

HOLY SHIT I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO SEE THE NEW SPIDERVERSE MOVIE TODAY AND GAH DAMN
Here's a penny for my thoughts:
The animation team continues to impress me with the animation and in this movie more so than the first cause of how they made each universe feel
THAT OPENING (love me ambiguous openings where you slowly piece it as it continues)
Spot = traumatized silly guy turned into very dangerous traumatized guy
We all thought pavitr would be ✨TRAUMATIZED✨ but I'm so glad miles was able to help him save both (maybe he is traumatized if his universe is destroyed but let's hope not since he's so blorbo)
Love his silliness with his whole introduction introduction the romantic tension comments and "Oh he doesn't know about hobie" like a whole romantic drama is about to play out
I thought I was gonna hate hobie with how much police he was talking but I grew to be amused and fond of him (the true mvp)
Idk if this is controversial or not but even though miguel o'hara is traumatized I still don't like him (if it's not clear I hate it when people try to be "the system". Looking at you light yagami)
THE COLOR THEORY ON THIS 👏✨🙌
Like the color shifts in gwen's universe and the inverted colors on the scenes of earth 42 and gwen's universe is another on point moment
There is so much more that I can't possibly mention of the top of my head at the moment but all the visual symbolism (not just in color) is *muah*
PARALLELS (that's all I have to say)
MAYDAY 💞 is. so. ADORABLE AND CHAOTIC.
I love peter b. parker having a child cause he liked the idea of raising his child to be like miles... cause he's a good person
Also peter b. parker is SUCH a father figure towards miles
Speaking of miles THEY REALLY CANT LEAVE THE POOR BOY ALONE WTF (give him a break man)
The humour in this movie. PEAK. (Idgaf what you say)
I love all the cameos and references of the many spiders and will deffo pick apart every scene once I can get my hands on the full length movie on my pc
They make every spiderperson's attack feel unique and get creative with techniques and styles
I love the 2d-3d look it has as always
I love miles' parents and its nice to see gwen reconcile with her dad
GOOD OLD PARKER TRAUMA
EARTH 42. ITS ALL CONNECTED. THAT REVEAL WOAA.
I'm glad they brought back the old spiders that miles first met into the squad
GOD DAMN THE CLIFFHANGER
i LOVE all the details in this movie
I also love the theme and characterization

The way they went from Thor & Val having a very predictable male lead x female lead vague beginning of a romance arc in Ragnarok to them being platonic best friends who tease each other about their new relationships in Love and Thunder, with like zero explanation or acknowledgement…. that’s exactly what I need them to do with Loki & Sylvie moving forward.

Me watching the ending of the third episode and remembering how Taika wanted to put This Woman's Work by Kate Bush along with a few others of hers into the soundtrack for Thor: Love and Thunder but ultimately didn't because Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) had recently totally blown up when it was featured in Stranger Things:
Tumblr media
Got some Kate Bush into the soundtrack of one his projects one way or another and I couldn't be happier for it. ALso the soundtrack for this season is just banging in general.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people (myself included) distraught over the fact that Loki did not exactly reunite with Thor, at least in the way that we all imagined at the end of the series. However, I would like to provide an alternative means of interpreting this that will either give you a means of coping or render you torn to pieces. Loki says “The sun will shine on us again,” and we are led to assume that this means that Loki and Thor will physically be within each other’s presence. Despite this, this obviously never happens at the end of the series: Loki’s supposed ending. While I’m sure my interpretation is flawed and has a few holes in it, I’d like for everyone to consider the fact that TVA Loki might BE the sun. Like the sun is to Earth, Loki is distant from his brother, but still in his presence. From his new position as the God of Stories and keeper of the multiverse, he is able to see Thor in every universe where he exists. He can change the story, and he can protect him. If we are going by the somewhat flimsy logic circulating around that he is the reason why the time stone is green, we can also assume his influence has stretched before Infinity War, and so is his influence in what occurs in the narrative. Thor never gets snapped. Thor survives the ship explosion after his Loki’s death. Thor defeats Gorr: a relentless god killer. Thor is able to find a purpose in caring for Love. All of these things could have been TVA Loki’s doing: his means of ensuring his brother’s safety and recovery from traumatic events throughout the Infinity Saga and also Phase 4. Not to mention, he is watching himself and Thor together in other universes. Universes where they might be happier. Universes where they may be at war with each other. Universes where they’re still young, when favoritism hasn’t driven them apart yet. He will always be looking after Thor and their relationship. He is the sun that shines on them in every universe.
Or I might be absolutely wrong and delusional and sad and in awe over what the fuck just happened-

At the risk of rubbing some fans the wrong way:
It makes me feel some sort of way that Thor abandoning the Throne he was always meant to sit in for an ordinary life he wanted led to a sequence of catastrophes for him. His absence at various points led to Odin disappearing, Odin dying, Asgard destroyed, Gorr targeting New Asgard and finally, Jane dying for using Mjolnir to stop him.
Thor, tragically, walked away from his purpose and lost everything that was dear to him.
And now there's Loki, who honestly committed outrageous crimes in order to get that same throne, was denied it, and then ended up finding loved ones and friends and an ordinary life he could live. But when his throne presented itself, when he had to sacrifice it all for his (glorious) purpose, he accepted the burden and saved the TVA, Mobius, Sylvie and everyone else.
Loki fought for his purpose, tragically sacrificed his ordinary life, and got to live with the knowledge that those he loved were safe and taken care of.
There is something extraordinarily Shakespearean about that. The 'horrible' brother accepting his destiny and becoming the hero and the 'heroic' brother failing to be the big hero because he rejected his destiny.

Anyway it's kinda making me insane that Loki ended up as pretty much a God with a capital G and Thor ended up as a dad. Like who the hell would have guessed all these years ago. It suits them though.

Did yall know that Norns, the godesses of fate and destiny, past, present and future and the equivalent of the time goddesses in Norse mythology are belived to be Jotun?
Tumblr media
I also read (though idk if it's true) that with the arrival of Norns, the golden age of God's ended. Do I need to remind you the plot of Thor: Love and Thunder? Even Eternals?

Maybe the new era of Marvel is ✨️atheism✨️

"I don't get why the people who loved Thor Ragnarok hate Love & Thunder, it's just more of Ragnarok!"
It's because context matters.
Look at the play on Asgard from Ragnarok, for example. The scene has a purpose. The play is self-serving, and it gives all its characters a bad look except for Loki, who the play shows as a martyr and a hero. This makes sense because Loki is the one behind the play, posing as Odin. The scene has a reason to exist, it's funny, and it tells us about Loki. And about Thor, who is the only one who can see through the bullshit. Even for those who didn't find the scene funny, the scene has a reason to be there, because Loki would absolutely do something like this.
Compare it now to the play on New Asgard from Love & Thunder. Why is it there? What is it trying to show? How could anyone know what was going on there? Only Odin, Hela, Loki and Thor were in the scene portrayed by the play. Odin went to Valhalla, Hela is dead and so is the original Loki, and Thor never left his house and probably never communicated with anyone either. On top of that, the scene isn't even funny, unless you enjoy fatphobia.
It's not just more of Ragnarok. It's more of Ragnarok but worse. And it's clearly not anything against Waititi, since everyone loves Ragnarok. But what I just said applies to everything else in the film, the jokes don't have a purpose unlike they do in Ragnarok.
