Really not feeling the art on these ones too.. they feel very "70s" compared to the other Spider-Man books

Taking away the thought bubbles in his buying-the-Bugle era really sucks all the life out of Puma/Thomas Fireheart. So much character was stored in how often this respectful-to-a-fault part-time catboy is thinking "everyone else here is out of their minds. I am the only normal person in this room. I want to go home and look at my spreadsheets."
The highlight of this being in Secret Wars II when he's in NYC on his uncle's orders despite being only maybe 40% convinced that the cosmic threat of the week is actually real, and thinks "I gave up a business trip to Japan for this???" so loudly that the Beyonder APOLOGIZES to him and then teleports him directly to Tokyo.

So, here it is: This year’s round up of my WEBruary daily drawing challenge.
I started each week with the colour headshot of Spidey in a different age of publication. A Steve Ditko-ish mask and web design, A John Romita Sr-ish mask and webs, A Mark Bagley-ish mask and webs, and finally the PS4 mask and costume redesign.
The first week was just pin up shots of Spidey.
The second week was the most influential women in Peter Parker’s life.
The third week was some of the villains created during a high point of Amazing Spider-Man’s publication history; early-mid 80s.
The final week reverted back to pin up shots. I had used this newspaper mock up for a Marvel Movie poster I made so I reused the template to make this fake Daily Bugle. And then on the final day, I wanted to move the spotlight onto the two most successful successors to the webbed mask; Miles Morales and Mayday Parker!
It was a good, fun month of drawing.
Thanks everyone for looking, and I appreciate every ‘like’ and ‘reblog’.
To next year, keep on swingin!
