Drabble; Thunder
The rain poured down heavily and tiny palms tried to shut the noise from her ears. A small, blonde head of hair trembled beneath the blanket the child wore as a shield against the world. No matter how loud it sounded, nothing bad was going to happen. There was a roof over her head. Father was in the other room. It was going to be just fine, just like always.
It didn’t stop her from shivering amidst the warm blankets on her bed. He was probably trying to relax after a hard day. He got called by the Church to do all sorts of errands often and had only recently gotten back from one of them. He was clumsy and had returned with another injury again. His arm was broken - he’d returned wearing a sling. He’d told the story later, once he’d settled in and they were at dinner. Another story about how circumstances had just so happened, in the silliest of ways, to turn helping someone into a clumsy accident. She’d giggled and asked him to be careful. He’d patted her head and stared at her with a look she’d never been able to understand.
She knew she shouldn’t bother him. He was tired, he was injured... But the storm was scary and made her feel so small. Careful, once the storm had briefly quieted, she wrapped herself and her pillow up, picking it all up and plopped her tiny feet onto the wooden floor with a thud. The blanket and pillow slipped, messing her previously-decent grip on it. Most of it dragged behind as she clung determinedly, waddling her way to Father’s door.
Knock-a-knock, knock, she rapped against his door gently. Just in case he was sleeping, so he wouldn’t wake up.
“...Come in, Yui.” His grave voice didn’t sound like he’d been sleeping at all. She opened the door and pulled her blanket inside, pillow still held close to her chest. “...Is it the storm again? How do you manage when I’m not here?” She’d sleep in his bed, or under it. He didn’t need to know that, though, so she kept it super secret and tried her hardest to fix his bed up afterwards.
“I’m sorry, Father, but...can I stay here tonight?” She stared up at him, then squeaked and ran to him without permission as the thunder picked up again. Her pillow abandoned, she held his waist tightly from his seat at his desk. His hand, when he stroked her hair, was warm.
“Very well, Yui. I can’t pick you up this time, so you can make it to my bed without me, I trust?” “Yes!”
Following his request, she dragged her blanket and herself to the bed, pushed herself up and scooted along until she could lay down beside his pillow. Father smiled, sighed, and stood up. Plucking her pillow from the floor, he ceased its brief abandonment to tuck it behind her head. He rearranged her blankets so she’d be comfortable. He brought his book over, whatever it was, and sat beside her to read it.
Occasionally, he’d stroke her hair.
“I love you, Father.” “You’re a good girl, Yui.”
And like that, she could sleep to the sound of his breathing and old pages turning in worn out books. Even if the thunder kept going, Father was there.
Father loved her. Father was a clumsy, well-intentioned priest who never stopped trying his hardest. If someone needed help, they could rely on him. If Father knew they were in pain, he would go help them. Sometimes it would take a little while, sometimes God made circumstances hard, but patience, patience, and he would help.
...So why?
A much older Yui sat on her bed in the Sakamaki house, holding her shoulders as the thunder blared. Better to stay here. No one to safely go to. It’d been awhile since a storm had been bad enough to get her like this. She’d always been able to distract herself somehow.
Now, it hit her. It really hit her. Father was never, ever coming, was he? Even when--even when she’d called trying to reach one of his friends, they’d said to never contact the Church again. And somehow, she’d been able to tell herself that it was a big mess. That somehow Father was going to come take her home. He was just hindered, somehow. Someone else needed help more than Yui Komori did, so he was tied up.
...Was it because she was selfish? She wasn’t just waiting for him. She’d been trying to find ways to leave.
He hadn’t given her anything. Any sign. Not even some secret message, something only she could recognize and know, no matter how long it took, that Father was going to try and help. Father hadn’t forgotten, and Father was coming.
He wasn’t.
He wasn’t coming.
She slowly turned her head to face the window, where rain blasted against the windows and light blared through at unpredictable intervals.
Father wasn’t coming at all.
#just uh#picture this as what came RIGHT BEFORE she went to go bother Laito during a storm#8^)#This is what Yui was thinking about before she decided to knock on his door#v // eve of the sakamaki household#yui; drabbles#I know it's not uhhh great but I'm still happy I tried to express it.#yui komori#diabolik lovers#yui and her father

...
“Yui, question.” you walked through the halls with your favorite adoptive-cousin.
“Y/N, Answer!” she giggled in reply. “What’s up?”
“I needed help! Me and this math thing is not a thing.” you glared down at your folder.
“18, 42, 6.9 and X=17.” she instantly filled in the blanks to the questions you hadn’t answered.
“Have I ever told you I loved you?” you faked crying.
“Only always.” she shrugged. “I see the boys beat us here.” she mused, noticing the Sakamaki AND the Mukami brothers in the respective groups by the lockers, right across from each-other.
“Always beating us here, but never offering to drop us off...assholes.”
“Aren’t you the one insisting on Ayato and you arriving at different times?” she raised a brow as you two slowed down in pace.
“I told it it would be better if I arrived a little bit after him after his gaggling fans dispersed.” you half-shrugged. “The last thing I need are his fangirls trying me.” you rolled your eyes.
“Like that girl flirting with Ayato?”
“Exactly...Wait WHAT?”
Yui pointed in the direction of the Sakamaki brothers. A girl was standing in front of him. Holding her books to her chest with one hand while twirling strands of her hair in another.
“Julia.” you growled. “She always does this!” you motioned to how ridiculous it was that she always flirted with one of the Sakamaki brothers. Especially the one that was TAKEN!
“Ayato won’t let her even touch him!” Yui tried to console you.
“You know what, you’re right.” you smiled a little. Everyone knew you two were an item. She wouldn’t dare.
“He loves you and he wouldn’t let her-”
You two watched as Ayato put on a flirtatious smile, crossing his arms in amusement as he leaned against the lockers.
“Maybe he won’t even entertain-”
Julia trailed a finger up his arm, laughing like a hyena.
“Maybe he’ll embarrass her?”
You watched as he took her hand, raised it to his mouth and gave her knuckles a short peck.
“Maybe-”
“Yui I love you, but I’ma need you to stop talking.” your voice kinda cracked.
You had transferred from day school to night school for him. You had transferred SCHOOLS for him. You dealt with the burden of having to take care of a human girl who was allergic to her own skin (you loved Yui to bits, but damnit if she didn’t get you into trouble all the time) on some days along with dealing with a bunch of perverted, self-important, assholes for him...so why..WHY was he responding to Julia....like he was single.
“I’m going class.” you grumbled. “See you later.”
“Y/N WAIT!”
...(Meanwhile)
Ayato needed to pass his English Lit. Class project, so of course when that Julia girl offered to type his report for him, he couldn’t say no. He had to pretend he wasn’t disgusted by her if he was going to remain in the top 5% of people with an actual brain. Fuck being like the other students.
“Y/N WAIT!”
“That sounded like Yui.” Reiji commented. They were surprised to see you bolted down the hallway at full speed with Yui on your tail. She skid to a stop to glare at Ayato.
“You’ve really done it this time.” was all she said before she ran off. “Y/N!! COME BACK!”
“Smooth move, moron.” Yuma called from the other side. “Looks like I get to play knight in shining armor.” he winked.
“Ayato~” Julia got his attention, “make sure to meet me in the library so I can give you your essay.”
“Yeah, sure whatever.” Ayato watched at Yui chased you down the hall.
... (Lunchtime/Free Period)
You sat in the courtyard, sadly staring at a sketchbook page You liked to paint or draw school life in the quad. You had started with a sketch of the Sakamaki brothers, but it didn’t feel right.
You’d probably get in trouble, but you just had to draw Yuma Mukami who was sitting by the fountain. You looked up every so often, hoping he didn’t see you.
“Y/N!” You heard. You turned your head to the side to see Ayato sitting with his brothers. “COME OVER HERE.”
Wordlessly, you grabbed your sketchbook...only to walk to the other side of the quad. You sat at another table, focusing back on your artwork.
“Hey...”A shadow was cast over your work.
“Do you mind?” you grumbled. “You’re blocking my light source.”
“Hm, I was just thinking you’d wanna see the reference up close.”
Your head darted up to see Yuma, standing in front of you. “May I sit.”
“Do whatever you want.” you grumbled. “I don’t care.”
Ayato watched from the other side of the court yard as that smug playful bastard took your sketchbook from in front of you and began flipping through it. Why hadn’t you sat with him today?? That Mukami dickwad had better not touch you.
He watched as Yuma flirted with you, and thankfully you didn’t seem to fall for his charms. Though that half smile you gave when he gave you a flower that had been growing nearby was enough to make him angry.
“AYATOOOO~” Julia practically threw herself into the spot where you usually sat when you sat with him. “I finished your report!”
“Great. Sure, whatever.” he glared potholes at Yuma.
“So...do you wanna eat lunch together?”
“That’s nice, Maria.”
“It’s Julia...”
“Sure whatever.”
(Meanwhile)
“There’s that smile.” he winked as you looked at the flower.
“Thanks, I guess.”
“Also, next time you draw me...let’s have it be a nude painting huh?” He winked, getting up.
“Gross.” you scoffed, standing up yourself. “See you in Biology.” you cringed.
“Y/N!” you heard Ayato’s voice call again. Just ignore him...(Read more below the break)
... (Smut warning)
When you got home, you locked yourself in your room. You had told Yui to not bother trying to make you feel better, because it wouldn’t work. You had just finished your homework when-
“Y/N! LET ME IN!” Ayato angrily knocked at the door. When he didn’t hear anything back, he decided that the window would have to suffice. “FINE! YOU LEAVE ME NO CHOICE.”
“Oh shit!” you began to run towards the window, hoping to shut it when Ayato practically appeared out of nowhere with a frown on his face.
“Why have you been ignoring me?” he glowered. When you didn’t answer, he grew more agitated. “Y/N, Don’t make me ask again.” Still nothing. “Y/N, You have three seconds to tell me-”
“Why don’t you ask Julia!” you finally snapped. “You sure seem to like flirting with HER.”
“What? I’d never flirt with that disgusting-”
“SO KISSING HER HAND THIS MORNING WASN’T FLIRTING! Yui and I saw you! She touched your arm and you didn’t even move!” you accused.
“Y/N, let me explain!”
“YOU DON’T NEED TO! You don’t love me anymore!” you pointed. “So go be with her! Go flirt with her! Go and spend time with her because that all you seemed to be interested in doing today!”
Ayato gasped, he finally realized what Yui had been talking about when she said ‘You really done it this time.’ He hadn’t even realized it, but he had been busy with Julia all day that by the time he got free time. He thought-
“You gonna let me talk now, Human?” he used the pet-name he coined for you. “I don’t love Julia. And I wasn’t flirting with her because I don’t love you.”
“Huh?”
“She was doing my English Lit. paper and I had to make her think she was worth my time.” he explained. “She had to think I was actually interested in her or else she’d make a scene. She knew what this exchange was. A litle bit of attention and that A+ was as good as mine. I passed by the way.” he winked.
“S-so, you don’t love her?” you wiped your eyes.
“Of course not! How many times have I told you that my heart only belongs to you?” He asked. “Idiot.” he shook his head with an amused smile. “As if that plain, lowly human could ever compare to my own personal descendant of the goddeses that made this wicked world.” he bit his lip.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because I was running out of time. I would have told you, had you sat with me at lunch today.” he rolled his eyes. “...Y/N, please accept my deepest apology. I wouldn’t hurt you...unless you asked.” he wiggled his eyebrows at the last part. “Now come here.”
He grabbed your waist and pulled you towards him, taking you in a long drawn out kiss. He purposefully moaned in your mouth, laughing maniacally through each peck.
“Me, and that disgusting excuse- how laughable.” he began kissing down your neck. “I guess I’ll have to show you that you’re mine and will only ever be mine.”
“Ayato~” you whimpered.
“Shush.” he kissed you again. “ Fuck! “ he kept kissing your lips “You’re mine. You’re fucking mine and I’m fucking yours. .” He backed you up towards the bed. “Usually I’d ask you to suck my dick first, but I want everything to be about you.” he made you sit down. “Aww, you didn’t take off your uniform, so I can take your panties off right now.” he smirked.
Had he lost his mind?!?
“Have you lost your mind?!?” your legs shook as your panties were discarded who knew where.
“I’ve always wanted to defile you while you were wearing it, so you can think of me every single time you put it on. Mmmmff-” he buried his head between your legs, exploring your depths with his tongue.
You took in a sharp breath, instantly arching your back in his favor. Good, that was his invitation to go forward. “Y/N, you taste so fucking good-” he laughed gleefully. “I wanna bite your clit and taste the blood right from your naughty place.” he moaned, lashing his tongue against your heat.
“Ayato, It feels so-” you mewled. “M-more, please?”
Hearing this, he went feral. He dug his nails into your thighs, sucking harshly at your slit. You had to hold the back of his head to stay vertical, your hands tangled through his lush hair.
“ That’s it, grab my hair. Yank it, pull me back into your pussy-mmm. “ he couldn’t even finish his sentence. He was so hungry that not even a snide comment could leave his lips while he tasted you. He’d never do this with anyone else, love anyone else. He was having too much fun worshipping his beautiful human.
“Ayato- I’m gonna c-cu-”
“Cum. Let me taste you. Let me feel it against me, let me drive my fangs into your thighs while you cum so you can feel what true ecstasy feels like.”
You felt yourself unravel, only to feel those fangs dig into your left thigh. “Ungh! Ayato!!” you cried.
“Fuck, Y/N.” he lapped up your blood. “It tastes even better when you’re cumming.” he bit his lip. “I wanna feel you wrap around me.” he crawled over you, capturing your mouth in a long, messy kiss.
You were surprised when he moved you two so you were straddling him. “Undo my jeans, take what’s yours, Y/N.” he bit his lips.
You shyly unbuttoned his jeans and pulled then down along with his boxers. You were welcomed by a very obvious hardon.
His cock slapped against his stomach as it was set free.
“C-can I, touch?”
“It’s yours.” he winked. “Do whatever you want to me.”
You began stroking him, coaxing a low satisfied moan from your lover. You wanted to be mean and leave him but who were you kidding, you both needed it.
“Is it too forward to ask you to ride my cock?” he asked, biting his lip. “Please?”
He caressed your thighs, coaxing you to slip his dick along the perimeter of your slit. You met his eyes, but could only shyly look away.
“Oh Goooodd-” he sucked in air as his dick slipped inside. You shy rocked your hips, coaxing another moan out of him. His hands rested on your thighs. “Shit, Y/N, Why are you so fucking- Ungh...Shit I can’t take much more.” he thrusted his hips upwards.
A small gasp hitched in your throat, followed by many as he thrust himself in and out of you. You wanted some sort of control too, so you rolled your hips even more against him. “Shit. Ayato~” you moaned. “Fuuuh-”
“Why would I want anyone else when you’re here with me.” he spoke. “Why would I NEED anyone else!” he growled. “You’re mine! I’m Yours, that’s how to fuck it should be!” he seethed. “Fuck your pussy feels so good.”
He was absolutely right, you didn’t think even washing this uniform would get his essence out of it.
“Shit!!” Ayato threw his head back, moaning like you had never seen him moan before. You didn’t even think he could even make such a face. “Y/N!!! “ he cried. “I fucking love you so much, Fuck, S-shit!! Fuck say it back, please.”
“Ayato,” you felt his cock twitch inside. “I love you-haah-aah!”
“ How do you ride me so good? God damn, you’re gonna break me! “ he cried, digging his nails into your thighs. “Fuck Y/N this is what you to do me!!”
You both were loud, sensitive, and on the brinK of breaking.
“I’m gonna CU---AAAHH FUUCCK!” you felt his warmth spill inside you. You were taken aback by him wrapped a hand around your neck and pulling you down to kiss you abruptly. He moaned loudly into your mouth, crying in euphoria as he bottomed out inside your wetness.
“Y/N!” he cried once more. “Fuck I love you.” his face twisted in pleasure, those usually stern eyebrows going soft. “I fucking love you. My human, My only human~.” he hugged you close.
“Ayato~” you replied just as wantonly. “I love you.” you whimpered.
“Don’t think you’re off the hook for ignoring me today, now it’s my turn to get revenge.” you heard his breathless laugh. “Shall we continue?”

prequel masterlist ♕ chp three
From the outside, the Miya’s were a very well-known family with a prestigious family. Miya Kaito was a well-known businessman in Japan who took over his father’s Marketing company. Miya Izumi, the twins’ mother was much lesser known than their father but was still in the public eye. She was an author of a best-selling novel who lived in Sendai but moved to Kasai when she married Kaito. They had two twin sons who excelled in volleyball and were sure to go professional straight after high school.
They were picture-perfect. But to your eyes, they were everything but.
Atsumu’s prediction of his father's absence at dinner two weeks ago had turned out to be correct. You, Osamu and his mother had waited at the table for almost 40 minutes before coming to the conclusion that once again, he was not coming home.
The lavish mansion was a veil for a broken home.
A father who worked more than he saw his family, a mother who went on trips weekly to resorts to escape her life and two children who had to suffer at the hands of their parents’ actions.
You couldn’t help but think of their family dynamic as you were in the kitchen scouring through the fridge for breakfast, a day before your 18th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Miya weren’t soulmates but they seemed like they didn’t even like each other. It seemed like their public reputation was the only thing keeping them together.
That was the last thing that you wanted with your soulmate. You were less than 24 hours away from turning eighteen and you couldn’t help but think about who they might be.
Do they live in the Huygo prefecture? Are they the same age as you? Are they kind? A romantic? Were they just as excited to know your identity? Would we have a physical or emotional connection?
Questions like these ran through your mind ever since you woke up.
Usually, your breakfasts were something solid to fuel you for the rest of the day, but you were so nervous for tomorrow that you could barely keep anything down. You decide that some fruit would be enough for now. You stack clear contains which green grapes, strawberries and cherries in one arm as you use your free one to close the fridge door.
Maybe they’re in California? You’d meet them there when studying for school perhaps?
The questions continued to flow as you sat down at the counter in the kitchen on a bar stool as you munched on the grapes. You were so wrapped up in your questions that you barely even noticed that someone had walked in.
You almost choke on the grape when you realize who she was. It was the same girl who was making out with Atsumu in the cafeteria two weeks ago. She also must have been the owner of those over-exaggerated moans that still made you sick to your stomach.
Even though you took a while to acknowledge her, she still hadn’t noticed you. Confused laced your eyes are you stare at her half-naked figure opening the fridge in front of you. The only thing covering her was a large white button shirt with two buttons together at her chest, which you assumed was Atsumu’s.
As you were studying her in slight disgust, she finally noticed your presence.
“Oh hi, I’m Yui,” she said as she tucked her dirty blonde hair behind her hair.
“Yeah, I know, we’re in the same calculus class,” you say before you place mother grape in your mouth. Judging by her reaction to your words, she hadn’t even acknowledged you, but you couldn’t care less.
She stood there in a slight shock before hesitantly speaking again.
“So, are you dating ‘Samu?” she asked as she leaned her body on the side of the fridge door. Her words caused you to choke on the grape that laid on your tongue.
“Samu? No!” You manage to squeak out between your violent coughs. “He’s just my friend”
She seems to be confused by your statement. You never had thought about Osamu in that way and you weren’t sure why she would think that.
“Well, then why are you around here all the time?” Now it was your turn to look confused at her words.
“Excuse me?” You raise an eyebrow as you reply.
“You were the one who knocked on Atsumu’s door, right? The one he called princess?” she said as she crossed her arms in front of her half-exposed chest.
Ah, now you understood. Was she jealous?
“Yeah, I was.” your tone changes as your patience was slowly seeping through your fingers like grains of sand.
She nodded her head before stepping closer to the opposite of the table. “‘Tsumu’s mine, so don’t come around here anymore if it's for him.” she spits out with a grin as if she had accomplished something.
You take a moment to respond to her. In one swift movement, you stand from your stool and start to close the container of grapes in front of you.
“One, I live here, I’ve been living here since I was 6,” you said as you snapped the containers louder than you usually did. “Two, the last thing I want is to be around Atsumu.”
You gather the containers and make your way in front of Yui. She said nothing as she stood and watched you place the fruits back into its assigned tray.
“And three, he’s not yours. You’ll be gone by the end of the week, sweetheart.” that was the last thing you said to her as you exited the kitchen. You didn’t stick around the see her jaw hang slack, appalled at the words that came out of your mouth.
You knew she attacked you because of Atsumu but was she that oblivious that she couldn’t see what laid between the two of you?
pure annoyance and animosity
“The audacity!” Stephanie exclaimed as you retold the events from this morning as you two sat outside the school waiting for the boys' volleyball practice to conclude.
“I don’t even want to think about it anymore, it gives me a headache.” you shook your head to the side as you try to forget the whole meeting. “Thanks again for giving me a ride today too, Steph.”
Your usual ride had to stay later than usual to make up his missed chemistry test and you rather walk the 30 mins than ask Atsumu to join him home. Stephanie was more than happy to drive you home after akaashi came out from practice. Because of Mara’s feelings for Atsumu, you never felt comfortable discussing him with her. You didn’t want her to feel bad for liking someone she despised. One can not control whom they love, so you spared her feelings and confided in Stephanie when it came to Atsumu.
“Don’t mention it!” she said as a smile pulled at her lips. “You excited for tomorrow? Finally going to be 18 and find your person!”
Your birthday completely slipped your mind as you focused on the Yui situation.
“I’m so nervous! hopefully, I can find him,” you said as you looked down at your hands. Stephanie could recognize your worry and placed her hand on your shoulder.
“Try not to worry y/n. You’ll find them. I remember the same feeling right before my birthday. The anxiety was eating at my soul but, in the end, everything was perfect. It’ll be like that for you too.” She empathized.
Akaashi and her were your only pair of soulmates to admire; They were the only two you knew. Your parents were also soulmates but you couldn’t see their love blossom due to his passing. You saw how much your mother loved and grieved him, but you weren’t old enough at the time to remember him loving her as much.
“I think they’re done,” Stephanie said as she held her hand. “I felt his signal.”
Akaashi and her shared physical touch. If in 500 meters of her, whatever Akaashi felt physically, so would Stephanie.
And as if it was timed, right after her statement the team came through the school's entrance doors.
“Hey!” Akaashi said as he waived at the two of you. He situated himself right behind his girlfriend. He muttered a small ‘hello’ as he kissed the top of her head and held her hand and rubbed small circles with his thumb against the back of it.
so that must have been their signal.
You could only wish your soulmate was as kind and loving as Akaashi.
You unknowingly stare at the couple in front of you as your phone starts to ring with your mother's picture displayed on the screen.
“Hi, mom” you answer.
“y/n! I need you to run to the store for me. I forgot a few ingredients for dinner today, could you get Osamu to drive you to the market?” Your mother said urgently.
“Uh, I would but ‘Samu’s taking a test right now, he won't be done any time soon.”
“Then can you ask Atsumu to take you?” Her words made you cringe at the thought of being in such close proximity to him for that long.
“Mom, I-” but before you could finish your refusal she interrupts.
“Please, y/n. I’m desperate.” she pleaded.
You wanted to protest. You wanted to tell her that going with Atsumu would be impossible, that he wouldn’t even take you in the first place but then you remembered how hard she works. She worked this hard for you, so this was the least you could do for her.
“Okay, I’ll ask him,” you say in a slightly sombre tone as you accept your defeat.
“Thank you!! I’ll send you the list, love you!” those were the last words you heard before she hung up.
“Ready to go?” Stephanie asked as she swung her bag over her shoulder.
“Change of plans. You guys go without me, I gotta find Atsumu.” Both their faces synchronously scrunched together in confusion.
“Are you going to be okay?” akaashi asked, clearly concerned.
You vigorously nod your head and send them on their way, thanking them for offering the ride home.
A deep sigh escapes your mouth as you make your way inside the school to find Atsumu. Luckily, or unluckily, you found him immediately standing at his locker as he was laughing at something Suna said.
You debated turning back twice but decided to suck it up. With strong strides, you walk up to Atsumu’s figure.
“Atsumu” even though you aimed for your voice to come off strong, even you could hear the strain in it.
He wore his usual volleyball attire, identical to Osamu. White joggers with a vertical black stripe doing down the side of each leg accompanied by a black t-shirt, which clung to his body due to the aftermath of an hour-long practice.
You approaching him for a change, took him by surprise a bit, but even surprise he still managed to wear that smirk to antagonize you.
“What’cha want, princess?” he said as he placed his hands in the pockets of his pants.
There was that damn nickname again.
“Um, I need you to take me to the market,” you say bluntly. Sugarcoating with Atsumu would only lead to his enjoyment but, somehow your words managed to do so anyway.
His smirk grew as he leaned back on the lockers behind him.
“And where’s the person who ya wanted to take you?” he knew he wasn’t your first choice. Hell, he wasn’t even your third or fourth choice.
“‘Samu can’t, so can you or not?” you probably shouldn’t have given him an ultimatum, especially because you had the lower ground.
“Sorry princess, can’t,” he said without a care as he slid his arm through his maroon Inarizaki jacket. “Meetin’ with Yui”
Just her name was enough to remember this morning. Your face contorts in disgust at the thought of her roaming the house barely clothed.
“Oh, you don’t have to be jealous, princess.” atsumu says after witnessing your reaction and assuming it was because of him. You can't help but snort at his response.
“I think you’re telling the wrong girl that.” you can't help but laugh as you speak. Your words earn a slight head tilt from a confused Atsumu and an amused whistle from Suna.
You turn to take your leave from his presence, but before you walk out the school entrance you turn back one more.
“Tell your girlfriend to watch what she says to me next time.” Your voice was much stronger than before. You didn’t stay behind to see the distraught faces of the two men you left behind.
You couldn’t even hear the way Atsumu slammed his locker and Suna’s voice calling him as he rushed off.
You should have eaten more today.
That was the only thing that you could think while you scurried through the food aisles slowly compiling the ingredients your mother needed. Her listen was all over the place; enoki mushrooms, powdered sugar, sesame seeds, fatty tuna, vanilla extract, rice. The list went on longer than you expected.
All the feelings you were being put through today managed to stop you from eating lunch as well. The only thing that was in your stomach was five grapes that you managed to get down before your encounter with the unexpected visitor.
The last thing on the list was a jar of raspberry preserves, which of course was located on the highest shelf of the aisle. As you stare at it, debating if you should make a fool of yourself to jump while flailing your arms to reach, a voice came from behind you.
“Need a boost, princess?” His voice started you causing you to move backwards and stumble into his chest but quickly move away from him. Before you could respond Atsumu reaches up and grabs the jar that you were eyeing.
You turn around to him with wide eyes as he hands you the jar without his usual banter. Silently, you nod your head and take the preserves from him.
“Why’d you come? Weren’t you going to hang out with your girlfriend?” you asked as you placed the jar into the cart.
“She’s not my girlfriend,” he said firmly as he placed a hand on the cart to halt you from moving.
Why was he acting this way over this? It actually seemed like he was bothered by the situation.
You opened your mouth to respond but the voice that danced on your ears did not belong to you.
“Well, this is a sight I never thought I’d see.” A deep voice sounded from behind Atsumu. Both you and Atsumu whipped your heads in the voice's direction only to be met with two faces that put a smile on your face instantly.
“Aran!” Atsumu bellowed loudly, as he embraced his friend while you exchange greetings with Kita.
“What are you guys doing here?” you asked.
“We came back from college today, decided to go shoppin’,” Kita said as he lifted up the small basket in his hand.
“Now, the more important question is, what are you two doing here?” Aran asked as his eyes bounced between you and Atsumu. Aran was a friend of the twins ever since they were 9, therefore he was your friend as well. He knew exactly how you felt about Atsumu, so that would explain the way he was looking at the two of you, alone at a grocery store as the sky was enveloped by darkness.
“My mom asked me to pick some things and uh, ‘Samu was busy,” you said quickly, hoping that he didn’t think differently.
Aran nodded his head while pressing his lips together.
“Say, aren’t you guys graduatin’ soon?” Kita said as he shifted his basket from one hand to the other. “D’ya know where you’re going for school y/n?”
Now, this was the first thing that put a smile on your face throughout the entire day. “Yeah, UCI, California!” you said with a proud girn.
“America? What program?” Kita inquired with wide eyes.
“Journalism!” the one word made everyone’s eyes widened.
“Of course it’s journalism. She's the one-woman team that runs the Inarizaki newspaper.” Aran said with a wide smile.
You continued the conversation with Aran and Kita as Atsumu wandered off somewhere in the store. You weren’t sure where he had gone but you didn’t care enough to worry.
As you and Kita conversed, Aran spotted Atsumu at the opposite end of the aisle and slips away from the conversation.
“Bro, where d’ya go?” Aran asked slightly concerned.
“Just walkin’ round,” Atsumu said as he swung his keys around his index finger.
“So, y/n’s leaving Japan?” Atsumu had an idea of where Arans questioning was leading to as he slowly nodded his head in agreement.
“How does ‘Samu feel about that?”
ding ding ding
“Probably not too good,” Atsumu asked knowing exactly how his brother feels about your pretending departure. “I wouldn’t feel too good if the girl I loved since I was 6 was leavin’ the country either”
“So is he gonna tell her?” Aran whispered.
Atsumu let out a soft snort at Aran’s words. “He had 12 years to tell her, ya think he’s gonna now?”
Atsumu knew his twin brother loved you since before they even started playing volleyball. And ever since then, Osamu has never once attempted to tell you of his feelings. It drove Atsumu mad, but he never interfered between you and him.
Before the conversion could further between him and Aran, they both see Kita waving them down.
“Let’s go Aran, y/n has to get this stuff home before dinner!” Kita said as the two large men approached you.
“Happy early birthday, y/n,” Kita said as he gave you a small hug.
At Kita’s words, Aran checked the date on his phone in a panic. “It’s tomorrow!”
“Yeah, the only reason why Kita knew was it came up in conversation” you replied. You were never one to flaunt your birthday. It wasn’t that you didn’t enjoy big parties and multiple guests but, to you birthdays meant something else.
Your fifth birthday was the only one that you could remember before your father’s death. It was celebrated by only your mother, father and you, but it seemed like the most fun a five-year-old could have. Your mother always mentioned how your father enjoyed small birthdays and how they were sacred. he would say to “only share them with people who brought you pure happiness and expected nothing in return”. And that was now how you chose to live, just like him.
“Actually, I'm having a small dinner tomorrow, do you two want to join? ‘Samu will be there, so you could catch up with him.” Your invitation earned a smile from Kita and Aran but a deep frown by the blonde beside them.
You hadn’t invited Atsumu to your birthday dinner for obvious reasons and weren’t planning to.
The two men looked at each other debating whether to accept or decline but ultimately accepted.
You were expecting Atsumu to chime in but, he hadn’t. He only looked at you with narrow eyes and a frown.
His eyes were laced with an emotion that you couldn’t quite decipher. Anger? Annoyance?
It was only then that you missed Atsumu’s stupid banter because this Atsumu,
This Atsumu seemed to be a thousand times worse
Ten minutes had passed since you last left the market and about twenty minutes since you last spoke to each other.
You two sat in complete silence as Atsumu drove to the Miya mansion in Atsumu’s Red Lamborghini. Mr. Miya bought both the twins a car of their choice for their 18th. Osamu had gone with a black Benz jeep while Atsumu went for the most flashy option.
You debated speaking to him, to break the awkward silence that filled the space between the two of you but Atsumu had already gotten ahead of you.
“Not going to extend the invitation for yer dinner?” His tone returned to its usually annoying self.
You look at him with a blank face and tired eyes. “Are you joking? It’s not like you’d come anyways.”
It was hard to believe that you two were once friends. Now you two could barely be in a car together without it imploding. He was the one that left you out of things, he was the one that no longer wanted to be your friend when you two were 8 years old. So why was antagonizing you over an invitation he wouldn’t even accept in the first place?
He just wanted to pester you in every way possible.
Minutes passed and once again the car was quiet as a mouse. Till Atsumu, once again sparked up a conversation.
“Yui,” You whipped to face Atsumu in the diver seat.
“Excuse me?”
“Yui. What did she say to ya?” He spoke without taking his eyes off the road, foot shifting between the gas and the break.
You were too tired to lie or ask why he cared, so you answered truthfully. “Your girlfriend didn’t like your nickname.”
“Not my girlfriend,” he said curtly while turning the wheel to turn on to your street.
“Fuck buddy, whatever.” you aimlessly correct yourself.
“Not anymore,” Before you could even comprehend his response, you two passed through the white gate lining the mansion.
It was far later than you thought you’d be home. The moon sat brightly in the sky as it was surrounded by small stars. it was basically night You only hoped that your mother wouldn’t be mad.
Unexpectedly, Atsumu helped you carry the grocery bags into the house. He strung 4 bags on his arms as you were left to carry one. You insisted that you can carry half his load but he was already through the door.
“‘Tsumu! y/n! Bless your hearts, thank you kids so much.” your mother said as you two placed the grocery bags on the counter in the kitchen. “Thank you for taking her, ‘Tsumu.”
“Of course, Obasa-” before atsumu could finish speaking to your mother something had caught his attention from the dining room.
Or perhaps, someone.
Before you knew it, Atsumu ran to the dining room and stood in front of the table. Instinctively, you follow him to the scene in front of you.
Sitting at the table was Osamu across from Mrs. Miya, and in between them, at the head of the table, sat a man you had not seen in a long time.
Miya Kaito, the twins’ father
“Atsumu” his father's voice sounded cold and hard as it said his son's name. Atsumu must have thought the same thing as you could see him wince at the sound of his name rolling off his father's tongue.
“So now ya decide to come home? What, finally got tired of sleeping at the office?” Atsumu’s voice was blaring, anger coursed through his veins, the only thing he could see was red.
“‘Tsumu! Stop it!” Osamu shouted from his seat in hopes to stop his brother.
“I wanted to have a meal with my family, so just sit down, Atsu-” Atsumu cut his father off not wanting to hear what he wanted to say.
“Cut the bullshit dad! Yer too busy for us and yer too busy for ma. so don’t even fucking try to fix this family, ya broke it a long time ago!” Atsumu’s voice raised in volume.
“Atsumu!” Mrs. Miya shrieked for her son to stop.
“I’m here now, okay? So sit down!” Mr. Miya’s voice matched Atsumu’s in volume as he urged his son to stop.
“You’re a fucking idiot if you think I’m gonna sit down and play house with ya.” was the last thing Atsumu said before storming up the stairs. You stood there in complete shock at what just happened.
Your eyes scanned the room around you. Mrs. Miya held her head in her hands as Osamu's face grew in irritation. Their father stood there with distraught painting his face. Your mom was still in the kitchen, but she still glanced with worry with her hand over her mouth.
Everyone in this house was shaken because of him.
Osamu stood from his seat to go after his brother but you decided to instead. Osamu shouldn’t have to worry about his brother when he's going through the same thing.
You ran up with stairs faster than you ever have to catch up to him.
“Atsumu!” you called from him as you followed him up the stairs. He ignored you as he reached the top of the stairs and walked towards his room's door.
“Atsum-” Your second attempt was deemed successful in getting his attention as he turned around and pushed you against the wall, caging you in his arms.
“What do you fuckin’ want, y/n?” His voice dripped with pure anger. He looks distraught. His eyes were red and glassy and his skin was turning an unnatural shade of red.
“Atsumu, I know you’re mad at him but just go downstairs and talk to him! Everyone’s upset. Just give him a chance.”
“What the fuck do you know about how I feel? Ya got a good mom, yer going to a good school in America and ya live in a big house, which is mine by the way. Yer miss perfect! So don’t you fucking dare tell me what to do. This isn’t your place to speak.” He yelled inches away from your face.
You parted your lips to say something but he left before you could. The slam of this door was deafening to your ears. You stood there, in front of his door in utter shock.
You knew he had a right to be angry, and in no way you were denying that right. But Osamu had every right as well, and he was sitting downstairs beside his father.
Why was it different for Atsumu? Why should he be allowed to create this mess and let everyone drown in his actions?
Why couldn’t he just try?
Atsumu’s words about you left a burden heavier than any weight that has been placed on your shoulders. If you could not speak about his family, why could he speak so thoughtlessly about yours?
Broken families came in all sorts of shapes and sizes; he out of all people should have known that the best.

Diabolik Lovers VANDEAD CARNIVAL ;; Present from Mukami [PART 1]
ー The scene starts in Yui’s bedroom
Yui: Today’s Christmas Eve, huh...?
( When I was still living with Father, we were always extremely busy during this time of year with preparations for the Christmas Mass. )
( We would decorate the church for the Mass...or make tons of sweets to hand out to the children as gifts... )
( Somehow that feels like part of a distant past now... )
Haah...
ー Kou enters the room
Kou: Heya~! M-neko-chan~!
Yui: ...Kou-kun?
Kou: No need to act so surprised, right? What’s wrong? You seem kind of down?
Yui: Um, could you please knock on the door before entering? I’d really appreciate it...
Kou: Eh~~? Why bother going through the extra trouble?
Besides, I live here, remember? My house, my rules, no?
Yui: H-Hm...That might be the case, but...
( I have a feeling he won’t understand... )
So, why are you here? Is there anything you need from me...?
Kou: Hm~~? I only came to hang out because I was bored~
Yui: I see. Are you off from work today?
Kou: Exactly! Today’s my first free day in a long time!
Anyway, more importantly, M-neko-chan. You were talking about how it’s Christmas Eve today earlier...Right?
Yui: Yeah...I had a bit of an ‘oh, right!’ moment.
Kou: ‘Oh, right’...? You’re talking as if you only just noticed.
Yui: Yeah...But I really did recall only now. It totally slipped my mind...
Kou: To think you’d forget about such an important event! Is everything okay, M-neko-chan?
Yui: I mean, you guys don’t celebrate Christmas, do you?
Kou: Hmー Well, we’re Vampires after all. We obviously don’t feel like celebrating it, nor are we interested.
Yui: ...Figured as much. There aren’t any Christmas decorations inside the house either...
Besides, I haven’t gone out much as of late either...
Kou: Now that you mention it, you’ve just been going back and forth between here and school without making any additional stops, huh?
If you were to head out, you’d discover that the whole city is in a Christmas mood.
There really is no way to look past it, whether you like it or not...
Yui: Yeah, but I haven’t gotten a chance to go look...So I completely forgot...
Kou: Hmー...
Ah, say, M-neko-chan? How have you spent your Christmas Eve in the past?
Yui: Eh...?
Kou: I mean, I don’t know how normal families celebrate the holidays.
Yui: Hm...Right. My personal experience might be a little different from the standard though.
Kou: Heeh? In what way?
Yui: You know that my Father works as a Priest, right?
Kou: Ahー I feel like I heard that somewhere before.
Yui: We hold a Mass at church on Christmas day, so we have to prepare for that the night before.
Kou: Prepare? Like the Christmas lights they put up in town?
Yui: Yeah. Ours weren’t quite as elaborate, of course.
On the day of the Mass, the visitors light a candle, take a seat and pray...
Then afterwards we read passages from the Bible.
At the very end, someone will play the orgle and everyone sings together.
It creates such a lovely medley of singing voices...I loved that part.
Kou: Hmm, I see...But is that actually fun?
Yui: Yeah, it is. It is an important day to me after all.
( It’s a day full of memories of the time I spent with Father as well, after all... )
Kou: Hmー So that’s how it is. I mean, I don’t really understand but...Oh, I know!
The other day, this one person at work told me that Christmas Eve is a special day you should spend with your lover. (1)
Have you ever spent Christmas Eve with a special someone before?
Yui: No...I was always helping out for the Mass at Church after all...
Kou: I see...
ー Ruki enters the room
Ruki: The two of you are making a ruckus. At least close the door when you’re talking.
Yui: Ah, Ruki-kun...Yuma-kun and Azusa-kun as well. What’s the matter?
Yuma: We just happened to run into each other in the hallway. Ya guys were talkin’ hella loud.
Yui: S-Sorry...
Azusa: Eve and Kou...The two of you seemed to be having a fun chat.
Kou: Really? It wasn’t anything special though.
Ruki: Anyway, Kou, come with me. Livestock, you stay in your room.
Yui: S-Sure...
Kou: Eh~~...? Oh well, whatever. I got to learn something new at least.
See you later, M-neko-chan~!
ー The four of them leave
Yui: They left...
( Somehow it suddenly got quiet. )
( ...Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded talking for a little longer... )
ー The scene shifts to the living room
Kou: ...Say, say, Ruki-kun. Why don’t the four of us throw a Christmas party?
Ruki: Haah...I was wondering what you would bring up all of a sudden.
Kou: I mean, M-neko-chan seemed kind of sad, you see~
She was raised at a Church, right?
So it seems like Christmas and such brings back a lot of memories for her.
Yuma: So that’s what the two of ya were talkin’ ‘bout earlier, huh?
Azusa: ...Say, what is...Christmas?
Kou: Ah, are you interested, Azusa-kun?
Christmas itself is on the 25th of December and the day before that is called ‘Christmas Eve’.
It’s the day on which they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ~
Azusa: Heeh, then...Today is the 24th so it’s...Christmas Eve...right?
Kou: Exactlyー! So I was thinking we could hold a little celebration?
Ruki: Azusa, did you not celebrate Christmas back when you were still human?
Azusa: ...We did not have that kind of celebration...
Ruki: How about you, Yuma?
Yuma: Hmー... Now that ya mention it, I do feel as if the city was a lil’ more lively ‘round this time of year...I think...?
I might have celebrated it back when I was a child, but I forgot.
Kou: I’m pretty sure my answer should be obvious but...Ah, you must have celebrated it, right, Ruki-kun?
Ruki: Well, yes.
Kou: Makes sense. You are a rich boy after all~
Azusa: Say, Ruki? How exactly do you celebrate it...?
Ruki: You decorate the inside of the house, say your prayers to God and enjoy a meal with the whole family.
There’s special foods and snacks which are only enjoyed on that particular day of year...
Also, you would exchange presents...I suppose that about sums it up.
Azusa: ...Exchanging presents...I honestly don’t care about the exchanging part. I’d much rather just be on the receiving end of all the punches...
Kou: Ahaha...Putting your wishes aside for a second...
Don’t you want to try and hold a Christmas party?
We’ve never really done something like that with the whole family, right? Come on, why not?
Ruki: Family, huh...?
Yuma: That bein’ said, Vampires celebratin’ the birth of Christ is kinda fucked up, no?
Kou: Should we not? Do you think he’ll be upset with us?
Ruki: ...Well, while I doubt he will be thrilled about it, that man has connections to the Church of his own, so he might understand in a sense.
I doubt he will condemn us if we hold a small celebration at home.
Kou: Right~? In that case, let’s get this party rolling~!
Ruki: Yuma, Azusa. What do you two think?
Yuma: ...Ahー...
Azusa: ...
Yuma: Oi, Kou. The Sow’s havin’ a rough time, right?
Kou: Yeah, she is.
Azusa: I...personally don’t care much about the party itself but...I don’t want...Eve to be sad...
Yuma: Nnー Well, it’s not really for her sake, but I don’t see any harm in doin’ this sorta stuff for once?
Ruki: ...
Kou: Fufu~ In that case, we just need permission from Ruki-kun...~!
Ruki: Haah...You’ll all be helping out, including during the clean-up, understood?
Yuma: Oh! Which means...
Ruki: Exactly...I suppose it will make for a nice change of pace.
We haven’t really spent much time together as a family up until now after all.
Furthermore, pleasing Livestock is part of our duty as her masters.
Kou: Hooray~~!!
In that case, we need to get started with all of the preparations!
Azusa: ...
Ruki: Oi, Azusa. Where are you going?
Azusa: I figured I’d go...tell Eve that we’ve decided to hold a party...
Kou: Eh!? You’re going to tell her?
Yuma: Aah? Should we not?
Kou: Hmー Don’t you think this is a perfect chance to make it a surprise?
Yuma: Surprise...? The fuck’s that?
Ruki: It means to catch them by surprise. In other words, you keep it a secret until the very second they arrive at the party...
Kou: I’m sure she’ll be ten times happier than if she already knew about the party beforehand!
I’m an idol, remember?
So I’ve had people throw a surprise birthday party for me before.
I felt so happy back then!
Yuma: Hm. Is that how it works? Well, fine by me.
Ruki: Azusa, you’ve heard us. You don’t need to go inform her.
Azusa: Mmh. Understood...
Kou: Hmー Holding a Christmas party is fine and all but...
Yuma: The problem’s how to prepare for it. We need to decorate the place, but I have no fuckin’ clue which decorations to pick.
Azusa: I wonder what kind of...dishes we should serve...?
Kou: Let’s leave that part to Ruki-kun.
Ruki: Right. Just leave the cooking up to me. Which leaves...
ー The scene shifts to Yui’s bedroom
Yui: ( Hm...It’s a little chilly in here... )
( I’m pretty sure quite some time has passed since the others left as well. I wonder what they’re up to...? )
( Right. I suppose I’ll check up on them while I go grab myself a hot beverage. )
ー The scene shifts to the hallway
Yui: ...
Kou: Let’s leave that part to Ruki-kun.
Ruki: Right. Just leave the cooking up to me. Which leaves...
Yui: ( Ah...Kou-kun and Ruki-kun’s voices... )
( I wonder what they’re talking about...? )
Excuse meーー
ー The scene shifts to the living room
Ruki: ...Oh...
Kou: Eh? M-neko-chan!?
Yuma: ...Ya sure have the worst timin’, huh...?
Yui: Eh!? I’m sorry. Should I not have come in...?
Azusa: No, it’s fine...We were just talking about throwing you a surprise Christmas party
Yui: Eh...?
Kou: Waiーー!! Azusa-kun! What are you saying!?
Azusa: I mean...It’s not like we can still cover it up at this point. If we try and hide it...We’ll only end up making her uncomfortable. ...Right?
Ruki: Yes, Azusa, you are absolutely right. We could have always sent her back to her room, but I’m sure she would have been worried about us secretly scheming something behind her back.
If we upset her, we’re basically rendering our intentions null.
Yuma: Haah, I mean, that’s true but...We could have at least tried to keep it a secret...
Kou: Haah...Guess there’s no point now...
ーー And with that being said, we shall now commence with the preparations of the Mukami family’s very own Christmas party~!
Yui: Eh...!? We’re holding a Christmas party together!?
Yuma: That’s what we said earlier, remember? Are yer ears still workin’?
Yui: No, they are but...I’m just shocked...
I’m just wondering if it’s okay for you all to celebrate Christmas even though you’re Vampires?
Ruki: You don’t need to worry about that.
Kou: Exactly! Don’t fret over the small details~!
Are you not happy? You get to celebrate with us!
Yui: Of course I am...! I’m just surprised, that’s all.
Kou: I don’t think there’s any time to be surprised though? We have to hurry up and prepare or Christmas will be here before we know it!
Yui: Ah, right!
Kou: Okayー! Let’s get started with these preparations right away!
Azusa: Eve...We’ve never held a proper party before...Can you tell us what we should do...?
Kou: First off, it’d be a great help if you could give us some pointers on how to decorate the house.
Yui: Well, we have to make actual decorations first...
Ruki: I assume it would be much quicker to just head to the store rather than explaining it here first.
Yuma: Good point. I doubt I’ll understand from some explanation alone.
Azusa: ...Yeah...
Ruki: There you have it. We are heading out at once.
Yui: Sure!
*TIMESKIP*
ー The scene shifts to the department store
Yui: ( I never thought I’d one day go shopping with all of the guys like this... )
( That alone counts as a Christmas miracle. )
Yuma: Whatcha been grinnin’ ‘bout this whole time?
Yui: Ah, right. I’m just so happy we’re all able to go shopping like this...
Yuma: Heh, you’re gonna find yerself lost ‘gain if ya keep yer head in the clouds like that. Wouldn’t be the first time after all.
Yui: I...I’ll be careful.
Kou: Fufufu, so you’re aware of it at least.
Yui: Y-Yeah...
( It’s not that I actually walk away by myself though... )
Ruki: The food’s next on the list, huh? Oi, is there anything in particular you’d like to eat?
Azusa: ...I’d like something doused in plenty of red chili powder...
Ruki: ...Azusa, let’s try and stick to Christmas food this time.
Azusa: ...Fine...
But what exactly is ‘Christmas food’...?
Ruki: Hm...
Yuma: ...We don’t know if our personal preferences fit the holiday spirit after all.
So shouldn’t we just leave that choice up to the Sow?
Kou: Exactly. That’s why we called her over, so the two of you should talk it over and make a quick decision.
Ruki: ...I suppose it cannot be helped. That seems like the most time-efficient solution.
Livestock, what did your family eat for Christmas?
Yui: Let’s see...I suppose Turkey or Roast Beef are both staples on any Christmas dinner table!
Ruki: You’re only naming meat...
Yui: Of course, we eat salad as well? Mixing in vegetables cut into cute shapes and such...
Yuma: The fuck does that mean? All veggies are the same, right?
Yui: You can use cutters to shape them like hearts or stars. I guess you’ll get an idea if we go to the deli counter...?
Yuma: Ready-made dishes?
Yui: Ah, I didn’t mean we have to buy anything, but I figured we could gather some inspiration.
Yuma: Geez, I thought ya were gonna take the easy way out. It’s a party after all.
So we’re obviously gonna make everythin’ at home from scratch, right?
Yui: Yeah! Of course.
Ruki: I suppose it’ll give us an idea of what we can make. Well then, let’s go buy the ingredients first.
*TIMESKIP*
Yui: I’m glad we got our hands on some delicious-looking meat!
Ruki: Yes. I’m looking forward to preparing it.
Yui: ( I managed to buy everything I need for the cake as well, so I’ll try my best at making it! )
( I hope they’ll like it... )
Kou: Say, let’s go pick out a tree next! The biggest one they have!
Yuma: Geez, are ya a lil’ kid or somethin’?
Yui: Fufu, you’re interested in decorating it, right?
Kou: I mean, it’s all sparkly and pretty, right? Just like me, no?
Azusa: Let’s buy lots of star-shaped decorations...
Kou: Come on, Azusa-kun. Don’t ignore me.
Azusa: Eh...? Ah, yeah...Sorry...
Yui: Do you like stars, Azusa-kun?
Azusa: Yeah...They’ve got these sharp and pointy ends...So I’m sure they’d hurt a lot...
Yui: S-So that’s why...
Ruki: Azusa, you better not think of tainting those stars with your blood.
Kou: Exactly! Today’s Christmas after all, a day you are meant to enjoy with your family!
Well then~ Which one to buy?
ー Kou runs off
Ruki: Oi, Kou. Don’t run off by yourself.
I won’t allow for any extra purchases. We’ll only buy the necessities.
Kou: Eeeeeh~? Whaaat~? You cheapskate!
Ruki: I don’t mind being a cheapskate. This is important money we’ve received from that man.
I can’t be wasteful with it.
Kou: Well, I get where you’re coming from but...
Yui: ( Everyone seems to be having fun. )
( Like this, it almost seems like we’ve become an actual family... )
*TIMESKIP*
Yui: Phew, we bought more than I anticipated.
Yuma: That’s ‘cause Kou kept on wantin’ to buy all this shit, right?
Kou: Eeh~? You’re blaming me? Fufu, I won’t deny it. However, we didn’t buy anything we didn’t need, right?
Yuma: I mean, we didn’t, I guess...
Ruki: Let’s go over everything one more time. Is this pretty much everything we need for the tree and decorations...?
Yui: Yeah! We’re all set!
Yuma: We’ve got the vegetables I grew at home as well, so this should do.
Kou: Aah~ We’re actually celebrating Christmas. I can’t wait!
Ruki: Kou, you’re being way too excited. Mind your manners.
Kou: Oh come on, let me be! I never got to experience this as a child after all!
Yuma: Well then, we’re gonna be busy once we get home~!
Yui: Speaking of which...Where did Azusa-kun...? Ah, there he is!
( I wonder why he’s just standing there? )
Azusa: Say, Ruki...
Ruki: ...? What’s the matter?
Azusa: I want this knife...
Yui: K-Knife...?
( Why is he holding a knife...? )
Kou: Hold up, Azusa-kun, where did you get that?
Azusa: ...Why not? I want this to give me pain...
Yui: A-Azusa-kun! What are you saying...!?
Ruki: Azusa, go return it to the store.
Azusa: Please? ...The shape of this blade is so pretty, and it looks very sharp as well...
Ruki: No means no. Azusa, you have to put it back where you found it.
Azusa: No way....But I want it so badly...I can’t give up on it...
Yui: Azusa-kun...
Azusa: ...Come on, I want it, no matter what...
Kou: Azusa-kun! You don’t need a knife on a fun day like this!
Azusa: No...This is special...
Yui: ( What to do? Azusa-kun’s not giving in at all. )
Yuma: Oi, at this rate we’ll never make it back home.
Azusa: Then...Can we buy it?
Yuma: Just listen to Ruki for today. Ya can buy that crap whenever, right?
Azusa: ...
Yuma: God, listen up...
Ruki: Azusa.
Yui: ( O-Oh no...Ruki-kun started getting angry as well. )
U-Um, Azusa-kun...
Yuma: Ya stay out of this.
Yui: B-But...
Yuma: Geez, guess it can’t be helped. I’ll go bring it back with him.
Ruki: My bad, Yuma.
Yuma: Yeah. ...Come on, Azusa, let’s go.
Azusa: ...No.
*Rustle*
Yui: Ah! Yuma-kun! If you grab him by his collar like that, you’ll hurt him....
Azusa: Ah...It hurts...I can barely breathe...Haah...Amazing...Uu...
Yui: ( A-Azusa-kun is...happy? )
Ruki: Azusa, don’t cause Yuma too much trouble, okay?
Azusa: Yeah...
Yuma: Che! Ya say that but you’re already bein’ a pain in the ass! Come on, walk by yerself already!
Azusa: Nn, but...It’s suffocating...
Yuma: That’ll fix itself if ya just use yer own damn legs, no?
Azusa: It’d rather stay like this a little longer.
Yui: ( He’ll be okay, right? Yuma-kun’s with him after all... )
ー Yuma walks away with Azusa
Ruki: Let’s go. We’ll head back first and get everything ready.
ー Ruki starts walking away
Yui: Eh? Don’t we need to wait for them?
Kou: Yuma-kun may be with him, but knowing Azusa-kun...
Yui: ...?
Kou: Azusa-kun has a hard time letting go of things once they pique his interest.
Yui: I see...
( It might take a while until they get back... )
I hope it won’t turn into a fight.
Kou: Hmー I guess that’ll depend on Azusa-kun’s behavior?
Ruki: What are you two doing? Let’s go.
Kou: Roger~!
Yui: ( Yuma-kun’s actually quite good at looking after others, so we can leave this up to him, right...? )
*TIMESKIP*
ー The scene shifts to the living room
Kou: Phew~ These were so heavyー
Ruki: Good grief, I’m exhausted...
Yui: ( We’ve got quite a lot of bags... )
Ruki: Well then, we’ve got no time to lose. Let’s start preparing.
If we procrastinate for too long, we’ll only waste time.
I’m heading towards the kitchen to get started on the food.
Kou: Gotcha~!
Guess I’ll get started with the decorations then.
Ruki: We’re counting on you.
Kou: Roger!
Yui: Ruki-kun, I’ll help out as well!
Ruki: Yeah, that would be great.
Kou: I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ll make for us!
Yui: Mmh! I’ll try my best to make something delicious, okay?
*THUD*
Yuma: Honestly, I went through fuckin’ hell and back!
I’m never cleanin’ up Azusa’s mess again!
Yui: S-Sounds like they’re back. He seems really upset though. I wonder what happened...?
Ruki: I assume Azusa threw one of his stubborn tantrums. Oi, Livestock.
Yui: Y-Yes!
Ruki: Go pass on this message to them. Please tell them they should get started with their own tasks.
Yui: Yeah, sure. I’ll go tell them.
ー The scene shifts to the hallway
Yui: Welcome back, you two.
Azusa: If I don’t get that knife, I’ll...I’ll...
Yuma: Aah, let it go already! What’s so damn nice ‘bout that knife anyway!?
Azusa: ...
Yui: ( Seems like they don’t even realize I’m here. )
( That being said, if I leave them be, they’ll run late with their preparations. )
Um, you guys! Welcome back!
Azusa: ...Wah...You startled me.
Yuma: Aah? The fuck, Sow? You’ve been standin’ there this whole time?
Yui: Yeah...Um, Ruki-kun has already started preparing everything, so he’d like the two of you to help out as well.
Azusa: But, the knifeーー
Yuma: Ya really don’t know when to give up, huh? We’re done talkin’ ‘bout that!
Azusa: ...You blockhead.
Yuma: Speak for yerself!!
Yui: ( O-Oh no... )
( I can’t leave things like this. I have to stop them somehow... )
U-Um!!
Azusa-kun, Kou-kun has started on the decorations, so can I rely on you to help him with that?
Azusa: ...
Yui: Both me and Yuma-kun understand very well just how badly you want that knife...
But we have to get on with the Christmas preparations now, so I’d really appreciate it if you could help out...
Azusa: ...What about you?
Yui: Eh?
Azusa: What will you do?
Yui: I’m going to make the Christmas cake.
Azusa: ...Okay. I want to try your cake, so I’ll forget about the knife...For a while, at least...
Yuma: ‘For a while’, my ass! Forget ‘bout that thing forever!
Yui: Shh, calm down, Yuma-kun.
Azusa: I’ll go help Kou then.
Yui: Yeah, good luck.
ー Azusa walks away
Yuma: Heh. You’re really startin’ to get the hang of how to handle that guy, huh?
Yui: Y-You think so...?
Yuma: Well, whatever. Anyway, Ruki’s already in the kitchen, ya said?
Yui: Yeah, I think he’s getting everything ready to start cooking.
Yuma: I’ll go get some veggies from the garden then.
Yui: Ah, Yuma-kun! Could you maybe let me have some fruit to use for the cake?
Yuma: Roger. I’ll make sure to grab a few, so ya get yer ass over to the kitchen ‘kay?
Yui: Yeah, thanks!
ー Yuma walks away as well
Yui: Well then...
( I’ll try my best to bake the best cake ever as well! )
ーー TO BE CONTINUED ーー

this was the first time you had ever felt heartbreak. your heart has been a constant reminder that daniel ended things days ago. it haunted you, even as you passed by all of the bright faces in the city.
it seemed like heartbreak wasn’t enough for you. the world had to punish you some more by the announcement made yesterday. the news spread fast around town that day, “the selection application was required for all women of a given age.” you happened to be a part of that age group.
you doubted that the prince would choose you to even be considered as one of the options, but what if’s filled your mind. you still weren’t ready to let go of daniel. right now you wished you would’ve stayed to hear what he wanted to say, but now it was impossible.
you did anything to get your mind off of his frozen blue eyes, including thinking of the prince. unlike everyone else, you thought that prince yeonjun felt a little too entitled. single, willing women weren’t enough for him so he had to make those whose hearts belonged to someone else apply. unlike all the bright faces hoping to be picked, you didn’t want to be one of his little playthings.
they say that the selection was unbiased, but most people knew that wasn’t true. many girls who were unfortunate enough to be in castes five and lower, where they could hardly or not even make ends meet, rarely ever got picked and they were the ones who needed it most. you could stay a four and bake pastries all your life if it meant the people in castes lower than you could afford food.
besides, you had seen first hand what this kingdom has done and you didn’t agree. you would be caught dead before you ever bowed to their spoiled and corrupt system.
“hey mom!” you put on a small smile to please her worried eyes when you walked into the bakery. her small streaks of grey hair added to her beauty.
“i’m so sorry sweetie. i know how much you didn’t want to apply.” her shoulders relaxed, but she continued to place out new baked goods.
you let out a sigh, “yeah well... it doesn’t matter. it’s not like i’ll get picked.” you smiled at the thought. it was all just a waste of time.
your mom stopped, placing the basket of bread on the counter. “it’s supposed to be random... we never know.”
you furrowed your brows and laughed a bit, while giving your mom a look that said “really?” she smiled, shaking her head to acknowledge that you were probably right.
“anyways... where’s dad and taehyun?” you didn’t see or hear them in the bakery.
your mom looked up at you and for a moment she looked distant before returning to her warm demeanor. you caught the change but decided not to bring it up.
“going on an errand,” she responded simply before filling the basket of bread with a few cakes.
she wasn’t going to give you the chance to ask, but you didn’t mind. you knew she’d tell you later.
“so... this arranged engagement with taehyun.” you looked to the side while preparing your face for a whistle.
“you know he’s a great boy and he’s a doctor... a three. he also helps to manage the orphanage with the eights. he’s a great boy y/n.” your mom looked disappointed when you looked back at her.
“it’s just... when does a four ever get put in an arranged marriage. plus...” you looked down at your hands where your fingers were playing with each other, “what if... i could love someone else.” your eyes glistened at the thought of daniel always waiting for you on that tree branch. you didn’t know what caste he was in... even if he was an eight you’d be willing to be homeless with him... although now he’d be a two... all because of the draft.
your mom sighed as your little sister, seoyeon walked in. “that’s enough for now y/n. take this basket to the orphanage.”
seoyeon was all muddy, indicating how she came inside after playing around in the dirt. you grabbed the basket harshly, trying to show your mom that this was not over.
“can i go with?” seoyeon asked, looking at mom. your mom slightly nodded, so you took seoyeon’s hand in yours. you resisted the urge to glare at your mom before smiling at seoyeon.
“okay... we have to get to the orphanage... what’s the best route?” you asked your sister who wore a sly grin before pulling you out of the door.
seoyeon rushed towards the river as she pulled you along. it was your little secret space that no one visited. the two of you had been running for quite a while, slowly passing by fewer and fewer people.
once the two of you made it to the river, seoyeon balanced on the thin makeshift bridge with her arms sticking out. she wobbled here and there but made it over. you followed soon after, carrying the basket in your hand and making sure to avoid any wet slippery spots on the bridge. seoyeon laughed as you made your way over to her.
“hurry slowpoke!” she called before running off into the field.
you shook your head before fastening your pace. once you got off the bridge you took off into a sprint. by the time you caught up to her she was already at the orphanage and you were panting. that was one thing about seoyeon, for small legs she could sure as hell run.
“it’s about time.” she giggled as she took in your bent-over body. “i was starting to think i should’ve carried the basket.”
you rolled your eyes, waving her off before you straightened up. seoyeon had already run off to play with the kids her age. when you walked in there were a few kids and teenagers around your age sitting towards the entrance.
“are taehyun and jihyun around?” you asked, looking around to see if you had missed them in the small orphanage. all you could see at the moment was how it needed to be remodeled, like many things in this area.
“taehyun left a long while ago, but you could probably find jihyun upstairs if you like.” one of the teenage girls, who you knew to be yui, spoke. you nodded before moving towards the kitchen area to place to basket down, with a little note not to eat more than one.
you knew how hard it was for taehyun and jihyun to keep this orphanage up and running. it was hard to get everyone here a proper meal. taehyun nearly passed out from exhaustion when he came to visit your family. he had given up plenty of food just so those who were sick could eat enough.
you made sure to get the plates and napkins out to remind them not to leave the bread lying in unsanitary areas. once you felt your job had been done, you went upstairs to their office. unlike most days the door was closed. you knew something was wrong and the sniffling coming from the room only confirmed your suspicions.
you hesitated for a moment before knocking on the door and letting yourself in. jihyun’s sorrowful eyes burned through yours, making your heart drop.
“y/n thank god you’re here.” she cried before attacking you in a hug. you rubbed circles on her back to try and get her to calm down.
“what happened?” you asked softly, scared this question might break her.
she sniffled, “o-one of the boys-” she let out a sob and you continued to try and soothe her.
“it’s okay you don’t have to say anything.” at this point you moved one of your hands to her head and rested it there.
“n-no he... he stole some meat and they’re going to whip him y/n. they’re going to whip him. he’s only seven!” she cried looking at you in your eyes. she was pleading, pleading for you to do anything. you weren’t sure you could.
“where’s taehyun?” you asked looking around, maybe he went to help. maybe that’s what he and your dad were doing.
“i don’t know.” she finally calmed a bit, hiccuping here and there. “he left before we received the news.”
you were left to wonder what the two were doing, but you didn’t have time for that.
“i promise i’ll go help the boy.” you gave jihyun a determined look. “what’s his name?” you asked halfway out the door.
“hak hyunwoo.” she barely whispered it, probably ashamed. you gave her a reassuring smile before leaving and finding seoyeon.
by the time you had arrived back home they already were gathering people around the city to witness the poor boys' punishment.
“what is your name boy?” the masked man shouted more to the crowd than to the boy. you had been struggling to get closer to the wooden post.
“hak hyunwoo.” he was crying, his tears wouldn’t stop flooding. he had nobody to watch out for him.
“and what is your crime?” the masked man yelled out once more.
hyunwoo was silent before speaking. “theft.” it was quiet.
“your punishment will be...” he waited to see if the crowd of people would react. only a few weren’t excited, it was disgusting how many people were cheering. everyone was just sitting back... watching.
“thirty strikes to the back!” there was a roar in the crowd, but the noise died out in your mind. that was way too much...
you pushed even harder, “stop!” you screamed, but no one could hear you over the crowd. you saw them grabbing the whip, only making you lunge forward, forgetting about hurting the people in the crowd. you stumbled forward after reaching the front. it didn’t matter if he was an eight, you had to help him.
“wait!” you screamed, now where the two in charge of this could hear. the guards were watching you with cautious eyes.
“miss you can’t intervene.” one man standing to the side had said.
you took a deep breath. “this boy did nothing wrong. can’t you see he’s malnourished? the kingdom failed this poor boy... they’re the ones at fault.” you had to try anything. everyone gasped as you accused the royal family of this boy's actions.
“if you must punish someone. punish me, but theft does not deserve thirty strikes to the back.” everyone's eyes were on you, making you nervous. you never really asked for attention, but here you were gaining it.
the masked man was staring at you, no doubt glaring. “fine. get up here.” he nearly threw kyunwoo off of the tiny stage.
you were surprised that worked, you were just desperate, but now you would have to face the consequences. as you walked past the little boy you told him to run home, which he did. that gave you a little comfort.
“what is your name?” the masked man was seething.
“kim y/n.” you tried to sound brave and strong, but you couldn’t help the waver in your voice.
before he could do anything else, more soldiers rushed toward the tiny wooden stage.
“you mustn’t hurt this young lady. she’s been selected and the prince would like to see her now.”
you weren’t sure which guard had said it. you were stricken with shock. tears threatened to fall and you didn’t know whether it was from the relief of not getting whipped or because you’d have to leave everyone to be a plaything for prince yeonjun.
guards had escorted you back home. you were still in a daze from the information, even as your little sister cheered for you. your mom was the only one to snap you out of the trance.
“i’m sorry sweetie... just know that we will all be waiting and ready for anything that happens. we will support you no matter what.” she rubbed your shoulder as you stared at all of the paperwork in front of you.
there had been a palace worker standing beside you stating the rules and how the caste systems worked as if you didn’t know.
ones were royalty and family of royals. twos were celebrities, soldiers, and politicians. threes were people who worked pretty stable jobs like teaching and nursing. fours were business owners. fives were musicians and entertainers. sixes were those who helped others with jobs. sevens were mainly outdoor workers. then there were eights... these people were mainly cast out of society.
staring at the paper only made you even more frustrated. you were practically signing your life away for the possibility of being a three or one if you’re “lucky.”
everyone had to be virgins, single, and if caught in a relationship could be met with death. you rolled your eyes once more thinking about how it wasn’t optional this year. you guess it was a good thing daniel never asked you out and ended things.
then the man said that it’d be ill-advised to refuse anything the prince asked. that confirmed your suspicions, you were practically being sold off to a spoiled brat. the only one who could send you home was the prince himself and no one got a say in what the prince did.
of course, everyone had to be civil and not fight, but you had to wear what the palace gave you, nothing else. one of the worst things was that you couldn’t leave the palace on your own accord. you’d be trapped and watched for the entertainment of the show.
there was one last thing about being one of the last 10. it meant you were the elite, but you doubted that would ever be you. with that... you signed your love away.
your mom was the one to give the signed paper to the man at the front door who had been waiting to take your paper to the palace. she was going to see you off because your dad still wasn’t back yet.
“wait y/n!” seoyeon ran towards you, hugging your legs tightly. “are you going to be a princess?” her eyes lit up when she asked. you couldn’t crush her.
“maybe... that’s up to the prince.” and that was the truth. you didn’t have a choice, but you’d do everything in your power to leave.
it seemed every choice was being made for you as you followed the palace worker, the guards following behind.
the ride to the palace was slow and lonely. you were forced to look longingly at the forest, regretting not saying goodbye to daniel. you thought of all the things you wanted to say to him.
i’ll wait for you because i love you.
we can get through this.
please don’t leave me.
i can’t live without you.
be safe.
at that moment all you knew was that you had to find him somehow and he’d be in the palace. maybe staying for just a little bit wouldn’t be that bad if you could find him.
when you saw the large palace nausea rested in your throat and stomach. you don’t know why he called you here this early, but it couldn’t be good. all the other girls would be arriving tomorrow morning as they had announced.
it was weird being escorted in, but your nerves were exploding within you. you weren’t ready to see royalty. you vowed to die before you bowed before them, but here you were walking straight in and scanning the area. all you managed to see were maids and soldiers around, giving you another few moments of the pride you were willing to die for.
you were passed off to three maids who had been waiting for you.
“it’s amazing to meet you lady y/n.” the title made your face crunch with distaste.
“please... just call me y/n.” your voice was quiet, not allowing yourself to be comfortable in an unknown area.
“we can’t do that miss.” the shortest of the three informed, making you close your eyes and pray to the heavens that you would be able to survive this.
“okay then... may i know your names?” the three of them looked at each other before the one who led the path spoke up.
“i’m aeri, she's isuel, and that’s minsuh” aeri pointed at each of them. you noted that the shortest one, issue, was probably the youngest. you only nodded in response as they led you further into the palace, upstairs, and down long hallways.
“this will be your room,” aeri announced, opening the door to reveal a large room with many small details on the furniture. it was a bit much, but you didn’t expect anything less from people at the top of the caste system.
“we have to get you dressed because the prince will be seeing you soon.” minsuh rushed over towards the large wardrobe, that when opened revealed many different dresses. all of them... dresses.
“i say we should put you in the pink one!” iseul shouted, excited. the other two nodded enthusiastically, but you were too defeated to protest.
it was almost as if prince yeonjun had been waiting the whole time because as soon as they zipped you up, a knock came from the door. all of the maids ran to the door, leaving your pleading eyes behind.
“your majesty.” was all you heard before a few mumbling and giggling. they rushed out immediately and prince yeonjun replaced them. his hair was dyed pink now, making you wish you protested the dress’s color. your maids were sly.
your heart was pacing, scared from the uncertainty.
“it’s a pleasure to meet you lady y/n.” there it was again. the title you wanted to get away from.
“the pleasure is all mine.” you tried to hide the sarcasm in your voice as you stood strong in front of him. don’t you dare waver.
“i heard you got into some trouble today... i’d like to discuss that.” he was calm, every word held a hidden strength behind it. this was why he called you here early.
“i’d hardly call it trouble.” you stopped to watch him step closer to you. you wanted to tell him to stay away, not get close to touching you, but you kept quiet.
“oh really? you don’t call asking to be punished for someone else’s crimes trouble?” he was standing right in front of you now, but he was relaxed and wore a soft smile. he found this humoring. it was anything but.
“i call that two innocent people paying for a kingdoms failure.” the words slipped out before you could hold them back, but you didn’t regret them. not when you saw how prince yeonjun backed away, looking to the side.
“innocent? he was a thief.” yeonjun looked back at you, determined and unwavering. two could play at that game.
you walked towards him this time. a power move. “the world is not all black and white. he was a young boy, an orphan that was placed as an eight. your rules are the reason he was starving, leaving no option but stealing.” you were glaring now, trying to ignore the fact you had to look up at him.
he didn’t seem to want to back down either. “yet if we let one person steal something what’s stopping others?” he leaned his face closer to yours, noses only inches apart.
don’t you dare give in.
“if higher castes can pay their way out of punishment, why don’t the lower castes get a chance?” at this point, you couldn’t move any closer, but you could spit on him. that was only a passing thought to entertain you.
prince yeonjun was quiet after that, staring into your eyes as if he was trying to search through every part of your life. it felt interrogating. he hadn’t responded, so you took that as his loss and back away.
“is that all you wanted to discuss?” your voice was quieter now, not accusatory.
“for now... but you might want to learn some respect.” and then he left you to be swallowed in your anger.
part 2 sneak peak:
the castle had been dark for a while. all day today you were looking around for a familiar face, one that didn’t seem to show.
the creaking of your door alerting you of a new presence. you swore you told everyone you’d like to sleep peacefully tonight, but here they were interrupting you.
“princ-”
“i heard you’ve been looking for me.” you could recognize that voice anywhere. the playfulness in his tone lit your heart on fire.

Haikyuu!! Boys and who’s sister they’d unknowingly date
**Keep in mind, it may happen that not all of these characters actually HAVE sisters, but let’s just ~pretend~ for entertainment purposes. I also put in names for the sisters, but feel free to put your name/an OC’s name and descriptions!!**
Characters: Akaashi, Washio, Konoha, Kita, Ushijima, Yahaba, Iwaizumi, Futakuchi, Daishou and Numai.
This has taken me...days.. I kid you not. THESE ARE REALLY LONG oOps
**I HAVE ADDED Numai Kazuma BECAUSE HE IS AN INCREDIBLY ATTRACTIVE MAN AND NEEDS MUCH MORE ATTENTION**
Akaashi Keiji:
It was during the Tokyo training camp.
Akaashi was with Bokuto, Kuroo, Tsukishima, Hinata and Lev in the 3rd gym in the middle of another 3 on 3 match.
Despite his initial concerns they weren’t doing too bad. It helps that the other team was comprised of 3 middle blockers where no one adequately knew how to set, and their newbie (Hinata) was just a *little* bit better than Lev.
“TETSURO YOU JERK!!! They all turned towards the door where a girl wearing a black t-shirt with red athletic shorts came running in, straight towards the middle blocker. Kuroo, who had a smirk across his face began to retreat.
“Welp, looks like it’s time for me to go. See you guys later!”
“Oh no you don’t. Where did you put my phone?! It’s been missing for over 2 hours. 2 HOURS!”
Akaashi looked at the girl, noticing she was really pretty. She had beautiful brown eyes, and her black hair was styled into two French braids, which were bouncing as she desperately tried to attack the middle blocker.
“Try checking the club room, I saw him and Bokuto go in there earlier and come out snickering like idiots,” He heard an offended gasp from Kuroo and a ‘Hey!’ from Bokuto. “Thank you, at least someone here has some decency.” Akaashi nodded.
He didn’t really know what it was but he felt intrigued by the girl and he wanted to know more about her.
“I’ll come with you, I have an idea of where they might have put it.” The girl smiled and nodded her head. As they were making their way out of the gym he heard Kuroo say ‘simp’ while Bokuto asked ‘who is’, he stopped listening after that. He spends too much time with them as it is, it’s best to preserve the brain cells he can.
“I’m Azumi by the way, thank you for helping me, you didn’t have to do that.” Akaashi smiled, “I’m Akaashi, it’s not a big deal really You’re actually doing me a favor by getting me out of there.”
The girl, Azumi laughed. ‘She has a pretty laugh..’ Akaashi’s eyes slightly widened at his thoughts. He just met the girl! What’s wrong with him.
Pushing the thought aside he continue to chat and talk with the girl, learning she was also a second year and Nekoma’s manager.
They got to the club room and started looking for the device.
“Why did they take your phone?” Azumi sighed and shrugged her shoulders. “My best guess is for their own entertainment, Tetsuro is always doing things like that.” Akaashi nodded and tried his best not to appear as disappointed as he felt.
Of course she’s dating Kuroo, he’s smart, good looking popular. Figures...
“Sometimes I wonder why out of all the people on the planet I had to get him as a brother, y’know?” Akaashi’s head shot up at her words.
‘Brother?!!?’ He almost laughed at himself. Looking at the situation now it was obvious the two were siblings. He smiled, he still had a chance.
“Yeah I know the feeling. Sometimes I think, out of all the spikers why did I have to get Bokuto.” Azumi laughed again, “I don’t think Fukurodani would still be standing if you weren’t there to reign him in. Not to mention you’re a really good setter and vice-captain.” He felt the tips of his ears turn red as he tried not to stumble over his words.
The rest of the training camp went smoothly, the two became pretty solid friends and exchanged numbers making plans to meet soon.
He went home with a smile on his face and a warm feeling in his heart.
And then he realized, he had a crush...
A crush on Kuroo’s little sister...
oops.
Washio Tatsuki:
Washio had just gotten out of practice, a really good practice actually.
Everything went pretty smoothly, Bokuto had no tantrums, he nailed a really good spike and it was just a good day all around.
Because of this wonderful day, he figured he’d go to a café he had been wanting to try.
It was a small little coffee shop that had opened about a year ago but he hadn’t had the chance to go yet.
He walked in and was seated by the hostess at a small table by the window.
“Hi there! My name’s Yui and i’ll be your waitress today! Can I get you something to drink?” Washio looked up to see a girl, somewhere around 5′7, with white/silver hair that was tied up in a ponytail. She had the biggest smile he had ever seen, heck she was probably the prettiest girl he’d ever seen.
He ordered his drink (focusing hard so he wouldn’t mess up in front of the pretty girl) and she gave him another bright smile.
“Coming right up!” She walked away going behind the counter to get the drink. Apparently the girls enthusiasm was contagious, because Washio swore he was feeling better than when he and walked in here. And he was feeling pretty good.
She also looked really familiar..but he couldn’t place just where she seemed familiar from.
Removing himself from his thoughts he turned his attention back to the girl, who was back with his drink.
I really hope this doesn’t sound weird or creepy, but do you go to Fukurodani?” Washio seemed a bit surprised by this, but he chalked it up tot he fact he was wearing his school uniform.
He nodded, “I do, do you go there too?” The girl excitedly nodded her yet. “Yup! I’d know that uniform anywhere! Oh! You’re on the volleyball team! Washio, right?” He nodded again. “Sorry if I seem random, my brother’s on the team too so i’ve seen a few games. You’re really good!”
Washio could feel his cheeks burning. No one had ever complimented him like this, well aside from his coach/teammates and family.
“T-thanks...it means a lot...” The girl smiled, a bit more sheepish this time.
“Of course...you’re actually my favorite to see play. My brother’s a spiker so I’m used to his antics but it’s nice to see talented blockers too. Plus, blockers are much cooler in my opinion. OH! I’m still at work, um, here...” The girl reached into her apron and gave him a little note.
“I hope we get to talk again soon, bye Washio!” Before he could even say goodbye the girl had pranced back to the kitchen.
Looking down at the note she gave him he could feel the blush on his cheeks but he didn’t care.
Because written on the note was the girls number, ‘xxx-xxx-xxxx, <3 call me~’ he smiled, he for sure was gonna call her later.
Before he could put the note away however he noticed the writing at the bottom.
...Now he knew why she looked so familiar.
Because signed at the bottom was, in adorably messy handwriting, ‘Yui Bokuto’.
Oh boy.
Konoha Akinori:
Konoha had been chilling at home when his younger sister, who was a first year at Fukurodani had come home, announcing she had brought a friend home.
Standing up from his place on the couch he stopped in his tracks. In front of him was the prettiest girl he had ever seen.
She had medium length dark brown hair and beautiful gray eyes, she was taller than most females, around 5′6 would be his guess, but she was still a few inches shorter than him.
Looking at her, she looked...familiar? He didn’t really know where she seemed familiar from, school maybe?
He shrugged it off, deciding it wasn’t something worth driving him crazy.
She introduced herself (his sister introduced her really, the girl was pretty shy) as Momo, he didn’t catch the last name though.
Anywho as the afternoon went on the girls remained down in the living room doing homework, which they needed help with. Luckily Konoha was a few years ahead and had already gone through that, so he helped them with their homework.
Seeing as it was the middle of the year and mid terms were coming up, the girls would ask him for help a lot.
Now, he may not have the best track record of helping others (...i.e Bokuto with spiking *cOuGh couGh). But this was his little sister! And it definitely wasn’t because he had a *little* crush on Momo...definitely not...Okay maybe.
But it’s not like she didn’t have just as bi of a crush on him so..
Anyways, one day Konoha’s little sister, Azumi had to leave early for a doctor’s appointment but Momo still needed help.
Knowing her brother was a ~gentlemen~ and Momo didn’t have a problem with it she left the two alone.
They were both...nervous. I mean who wouldn’t be! They were both unknowingly left alone with their crush.
Konoha decided he’d just start a conversation, and with that conversation the two found out they actually had a lot in common!
Konoha found out she had an older brother, who also went to Fukurodani! She didn’t mention a name though..Oh well.
The two spent the afternoon chatting and getting to know each other! And he may or may not have gotten her number...For studying purposes of course!
At about 4:47 there was a knock at the door. “Oh, that’s probably my older brother!” Konoha nodded, but walked over to check.
He opened the door...”wASHIO!?! What are you doing here?” The middle blocker looked just as shocked. “I’m here to pick up my little sister...” Konoha just about felt the color drain out of his face.
. . .He had a crush on Washio Tatsuki’s little sister. . .
Oh he was dead.
Kita Shinsuke:
It was during lunch one day when a 2nd year had approached him, Reina Omimi.
She was very pretty with long silky black hair, slanted gray eyes standing out to him but what caught his eye the most was the cute smile on her face.
She asked him to tutor her, since she was having trouble in English, he agreed asking her to come to class 3-7 after school since he didn’t have volleyball practice.
So, the two started meeting each other after school on the days he didn’t have volleyball practice and she was free from her club activities.
He truly thought it was a coincidence.
I mean, sure there were similarities beyond their names but couldn’t have been that rare right? Besides it’s not like everyone with the same last name was related.
Anyways, soon enough the two had gotten so close, they started dating!
They had yet to meet each others families, not on purpose of course! It just didn’t seem like the biggest priority on top of everything else going on.
One day before practice the boys were in the locker room changing from their school uniforms into their practice clothes.
All was fine until *Atsumu* just had to bring something up..
“Say, Kita, I saw you with a girl the other day, who was it?”
Kita, being unbothered by the question answered, “My girlfriend” the whole locker room went quiet before erupting in a chorus of ‘wHaT?!’, ‘who is it’ and other unintelligible things.
“Her names Reina, she’s in class 2-6 so I doubt any of you second years know her.” That instantly shut up the rambunctious (minus Suna) second years (Suna and Osamu are 2-1, Ginjima and Atsumu are class 2-3...).
...But it did intrigue a certain 3rd year.
“Shinsuke...what’s her last name?” The captain in question turned to the third year middle blocker.
“It’s Omimi, wh-...oh.” Realization hit him like a truck.
The name, the hair, the eyes, the brains...how didn’t he see it?!?!
After Omimi assured Kita he was fine with him dating her, the team got on with practice.
But let’s just say it was a fun conversation to be had between Kita and both Omimi’s...
Suna Rintaro:
To be fair, NO ONE knows how this happened!
SUNA doesn’t even know how this happened!
Anyways, Suna had been going for a walk (his parents had kicked him out of the house for the day for being lazy) when he bumped into her, Megumi Kita.
He recognized the name when she introduced herself, but he didn’t put two and two together.
Kita had brought her to practice about a week or so ago and had introduced her but Suna had been asleep in the club room so..
Anyways, megumi had been on her way home from the store when she and Suna collided.
Seeing as it was his fault and he wasn’t allowed back in the house yet anyways he offered to help her bring the groceries to her house.
When they got there they were immediately greeted by Yumie Kita (Kita’s grandmother), who insisted Suna stay until he could go back home. (*and her granddaughter was single and he is a very handsome young man)
Not being able to turn down the sweet elderly woman he gratefully agreed. The afternoon went on smoothly.
A few hours after his exile his mom texted him telling him he could go back home.
Wanting the two to spend more time together Yumie insisted Megumi go back with Suna, and to meet her older brother on the way back since he was nearby.
The walk was filled with playful banter and getting to know each other.
So when they got to Suna’s house he obviously asked if she’d see him again and she happily agreed.
It wasn’t until he tried to sleep that night he remembered why that name had sounded so familiar.
Fast forward two months, Megumi and Suna were happily dating, er happily dating in secret. Why? Because the two knew Kita would not be happy to know someone (from his team nonetheless) was dating his little sister.
It was during practice one day that the fateful encounter had occurred...Suna had mysteriously disappeared, and Kita’s little sister who had come to watch had disappeared as well...The team went on a scavenger hunt for the sleepy middle blocker, figuring the sister’s absence was just a coincidence.
Until they found them snuggled up and asleep in the stairwell...
Suna did a few extra drills that practice...
And for 5 practices after that.
Ushijima Wakatoshi:
Okay...to be completely fair...he knew she was Oikawa’s little sister.
He met her at the beginning of his second year when she became the first year manager at Shiratorizawa.
Due to her sweet and kind personality, which he found greatly contrasted Oikawa’s he took a strong liking to the girl one she returned.
At first the two were just friends but as they spent more time together they developed feelings for each other.
Despite not going to the same school, and Natsuki staying in the dorms the Oikawa siblings remained close.
So Oikawa knew she went to Shiratorizawa...and that she was their manager...he just didn’t think she even TALKED to Ushijima.
Let alone that she was DATING him!
N E wAys Ushijima and Natsuki were out on a date, it was a Saturday and the two were out and about in town.
The two had just exited the café they were in when they heard a loud gasp.
Turning around the two were met with....basically all of Aoba Johsai.
And a broad range of reactions.
Oikawa looked DiSgUsTeD, iwaizumi looked conflicted, Yahaba showed a *hint* of surprise, Kindaichi looked scared and Hanamaki, Matsukawa and Kunimi were all laughing at their captain.
“wha-why-how-hUH!?!?! HOW DID THIS HAP-” He was promptly cut off by a firm slap to the back of his head. “Get over yourself loserkawa! You should’ve known you couldn’t control her forever!”
Whining from the blow to the back of his head Oikawa turned to face the love birds, staring down Ushijima and proceeding to look his little sister in the eye.
After much mental deliberation (and another hit from Iwaizumi) he sighed and turned around, waving a dramatic hand in the air.
As he walked away he shouted, “Oh~ But don’t think you’re getting off easy now Ushiwaka,” He momentarily stopped to turn his head and give the two a *look. “We will be discussing this later.”
Yahaba Shigeru:
After a game ended he was headed towards the locker room when someone stopped him.
She introduced herself as Emi and said she wanted to say he played really well.
Yahaba, thinking she was really sweet and cute asked for her number which she gladly gave to him.
As he walked to the locker room, he couldn’t stop thinking about her beautiful long black hair that was perfectly curly.
She really was quite pretty, one of the prettiest girls he’d ever seen.
Fast forward a week, he had asked the girl on a date and she’d said yes!
So now, he was headed to an address she had given him to pick her up.
She was running a bit late so she told him to knock on the door and her older brother would let him in.
Making sure he looked his best he got out of his car and knocked on the front door.
He almost choked when none other than his teammate, Matsukawa opened the front door confused as to why Yahaba was there.
To stunned to answer coherently, Mattsun’s little sister skipped past her brother and gave Yahaba a hug, explaining to her brother this was the guy she had been talking about.
...Yahaba knew he was in for it later when he saw the look Matsukawa was giving him...it was the same look he had perfected as a middle blocker.
Y’know, the one he used to intimidate his opponents.
Nervously gulping Yahaba promised to have her home at a reasonable time and nervously left with his date.
The next practice was a dreaded date for the poor man.
Iwaizumi Hajime:
Iwaizumi had been racing the halls of Aoba Johsai (he was late to practice...) when he had accidentally bumped into someone, sub sequentially knocking them to the ground.
Looking down he saw that he had bumped into a girl he had seen around, Kanna something or the other.
Apologizing he was quick to offer her a hand up, which she gratefully accepted.
He helped her gather her things and discovered she was on her way to deliver some papers to the guidance office.
Seeing as he was responsible for them being knocked to the floor he offered to help her take them there.
On their way to the office Iwaizumi made some small talk and got to know somethings about the girl.
He knew the name ‘Kyotani’ but he didn’t think anything of it especially since she was so nice and sweet!
So he figured it was a coincidence the two had the same name.
After that day the two would meet for study sessions, lunch, etc. Until they eventually started to go on dates.
So when he asked her to be his girlfriend, she had agreed.
On this specific day the two had plans to hang out after school, but because of a quick team meeting after practice Iwaizumi would be late to pick Kanna up after her club.
She assured him it was fine and that she’d just meet Iwaizumi at the gym.
“The HECK are you doin’ here?” Iwaizumi turned from where he was chatting with Hanamaki to see his girlfriend had just walked into the gym.
“Shut up Kentaro! Oh, Hajime! Sorry if I’m a bit early, club ended sooner than I had expected.”
Iwaizumi walked over and gave his girlfriend a short kiss on the lips, which wasn’t that weird since they’ve been dating for a few months now and had kissed several times.
“Are you serious? Right in front of my salad?” The whole gym (minus one player) cracked up at Makki’s joke, Iwaizumi rolling his eyes.
“Chill out everyone, this is my girlfriend, Kanna-” “GiRLfRiEnD!?!”
The team now directed their eyes towards Kyotani, who was a mix between fuming and shocked.
“Oh shut it Kentaro! You knew I had a boyfriend.” Kanna rolled her eyes at her overprotective younger brother. He sputtered a bit before he could formulate a response, “yEah, but I didn’t know it was him!”.
Before young Mad-dog exploded Yahaba came over and dragged him by the collar back to the court to ‘practice his spikes’ or whatever.
Futakuchi Kenji:
He swears it was an accident!
How was he supposed to know she was Aone’s little sister?!
Futakuchi had gone over one afternoon to work on some homework with Aone.
When Futakuchi knocked on the door, a beautiful kind looking girl opened it, asking him why he was here.
Introducing himself as a friend of Aone’s, the girl let him in, figuring he was friend of her brothers.
You see, before Futakuchi had come over that afternoon, Aone had warned him his younger sister had some friends over.
So naturally he assumed the girl who answered the door was one of those friends since the girl (whose name he learned was Niko) and Aone looked absolutely nothing alike!
She was also quite bubbly and extroverted, easily keeping conversation with the girl.
Being the absolute charmer he is he begun lightly flirting with the girl.
And IN HIS DEFENSE!! She flirted back.
IT WAS ALSO AT THIS TIME THAT AONE HAD COME DOWNSTAIRS.
A look of concern came over his face as he saw Futakuchi flirting with his little sister.
Quickly walking over to the two, he pushed Futakuchi away (by his face of course) before turning to his younger sister who was frantically asking why he’d do such a thing.
“You know that guy on the team I always talk about.” Niko looked at him confused, “You mean the scummy one with a terrible personality?” Aone nodded and pointed at Futakuchi, “He’s that guy.”
Futakuchi just yelled out a “HEY!”, knowing his friend wasn’t exactly wrong.
Niko just laughed, “He’s not that bad! He seems nice to me! Plus you never mentioned he was so handsome.”
Making a face of disgust Aone just shook his head muttering ‘It’s your funeral’ before heading back to his room.
The two hit it off, and despite his initial protests Aone is very happy for both of them.
Daishou Suguru:
It was after Mika dumped him, he had been incredibly distraught and had gone to a local park to let his feelings out.
Unfortunately, it had started raining and Daishou hadn’t exactly been in the right state of mind so he had forgotten to bring an umbrella.
Just as it had started to sprinkle he had gotten shielded from the rain,
Looking up he saw a really pretty girl with black hair and warm gray eyes looking at him with concern.
Convincing him it was dangerous to be out in this weather, the two made their way to the safety of a nearby café.
The two talked for hours and as it turns out the girl, Yuna as he had learned her name was, had been going through a similar situation.
Exchanging numbers the two continued to see each other and eventually started dating.
They had yet to meet each other’s families due to both of them being busy, so they decided to wait until after the Spring High Preliminary’s since Daishou would be free after them. (Due to scheduling conflicts Yuna was not able to go to the Match, but consoled her boyfriend after they lost)
Knocking on the door Yuna let him in and the two hung out in the living room until everyone had gotten there.
Once dinner had been cooked the family sat down at the table, all except one who Yuna had said was still at practice.
About 1/4 of the way through dinner they heard the front door open, in walking Yuna’s little brother.
“Oh! I should have asked earlier but you two know each other don’t you Yuuki?”
Daishou mentally screamed realizing his girlfriend’s younger brother just so happened to be the rookie libero he had targeted during the preliminary’s.
Stilling in his tracks Shibayama nervously shook his head, saying he had only gone up against him at the preliminary’s and that they hadn’t really met.
Seeing as Shibayama is a stand up guy, he didn’t say anything to his family. So all was actually going well until Mr. Shibayama said Daishou had looked familiar....
Yuna had not gone to the Match...but Mr. Shibayama and Mrs. Shibayama had...and they had now recognized Daishou.
Oh boy.
Numai Kazuma:
It was when Numai had dislocated his thumb.
After the match he had gone to the nurses office, where a very pretty girl helped him.
She introduced herself as Kaia, she was helping out with first aid since she was enrolled in a medical program at Nohebi.
When Numai heard ‘Nohebi’ he talked about how he was the Ace for the Boys Volleyball team.
Kaia then asked him questions and before the two knew it they were engaged in a conversation while she helped him with his injury.
The two bonded over volleyball, since Numai learned her little brother played, and he played as a wing spiker!
During the duration of his stay, he built up the courage to ask her for her number, which she of course agreed to.
Seeing as she had done as much as she could do for a dislocated thumb, she released him, opting to walk him back to his team (definitely nOt just to spend more time with him h a h a).
When they got to the club room, where the team had just finished discussing the game.
Numai opened the door a smidge before he paused, not noticing the team eagerly waiting behind the closed door.
Turning back to Kaia he took deep breath before nervously asking the girl out sometime, which she also happily agreed to.
Little did he realize the girls reply had interested someone behind the semi-closed door, he hadn’t really cared what was going on until he recognized that voice.
When the team decided their ace had had enough fun, the quickly opened the door and pulled him inside, the whole team piling on top of him.
All except one...
“Kaia...what are you doing here..?” everyone turned to look at a now awake Kuguri, who had been napping after taking over for the poor ace.
Kaia then entered the room and gave her little brother a hug, congratulating him for stepping up.
Noticing the team’s weird stares, the eldest of the two siblings turned around before properly introducing herself.
“I’m Kaia Kuguri, Naoyasu’s older sister.”
The underclassmen went silent, since they didn’t want to seem disrespectful towards their ace, while the third years all started howling with laughter, Sakishima and Daishou being the worst offenders.
Kaia just shook her head before leaving her dumbstruck brother and a red and stuttering Numai behind to deal with his cackling teammates.

Courage My Love// Semi Eita
Pairing: Semi Eita x Reader
Summary: You like Semi and come up with a plan to confess to him, unfortunately it takes a turn. You meet again a couple years later by chance.
Chapter Two: How Do You Feel?
Series Masterlist•<previous•next>
—————
The moment you were allowed to leave the auditorium you made your way back to your dorm. A couple people would stop to congratulate you on your win, some being complete strangers. They were nice and thoughtful but right now you weren’t in the right mindset to interact with others. You held your trophy close to your chest so it wouldn’t get damaged but also draw minimal attention mumbling a quick “thank you” from time to time.
“Y/n!” Tendou called your name when you were made it to the building that your dorm was located. You turned to face him and waited for him to catch up. When he made it to you his first instinct was to wipe your tears. “C’mon, no more tears,” he said softly before opening the door to let you in first.
When you made it to your dorm Tendou made his way to his spot on the edge of your bed while you set the guitar case down and put the award somewhere on your desk. Walking to your bed you immediately threw your covers up before getting under them and cocooning yourself with them.
Tendou met you about halfway through your first years when you interrupted their practice to drop something off for Semi. He didn’t know his friend had such a pretty friend. When you asked for Semi he immediately started his teasing which left you blushing, a look that Tendou found entertaining.
When you started getting closer with Semi, you also became more aquatinted with his friends as he did with yours. At first, you definitely thought Tendou was quite the oddball but you were quick to accept him as he was, it’s just Tendou things.
“Do you wanna talk about it?” the redhead spoke.
“I don’t get it. I thought we were closer than this. I don’t know what I’m more hurt by, the fact that he didn’t ask me to be his date or the fact that I had no idea he was even seeing someone.”
“I didn’t even know. Hell, even Wakatoshi was surprised when it wasn’t you he was asking!”
“God next week is gonna be so embarrassing,” you said now burying your face into your pillow.
“Hm? Why’s that?”
“We have our stupid dance next week! And we have that dumb dinner we all agreed to go to before we went to the stupid dance! Everyone is gonna have a date but me! Reon is going with his girlfriend, Ushijima has his date, Semi has miss mysterious, you have your date-“
“I don’t have anyone,” Tendou quickly cut you off.
You furrowed your eyebrows as you turned to look at him. “Why don’t you have a date?”
He shrugged his shoulders before responding, “I don’t know. I was gonna go by myself. I don’t mind being the odd man out.”
“I’ll be your date.”
Tendou turned and looked at you as if you were crazy. He leaned forward and squinted his eyes before leaning back. “Are you sick or something? Weren’t you crying over Semi and now you’re moving on that quick? I know I’m great but still that’s a little too quick for me doll face.”
You laughed as he spoke. “I am heart broken, but you still deserve to go to our last dance with a date. I don’t mind, I’ll go with you, what are friends for?” Once you realized what you said you where quick to apologize. “I mean, you don’t have to go with me if you don’t want to. I know you can ask someone else and they’ll say yeah, it was kinda selfish of me to just offer myself like that especially with all this going on.”
“I’ll take you up on your offer.”
-
The next morning you decided to text Izumi about her offer. It was the weekend so classes weren’t a huge focus, especially since the year was about to end.
“Girls! She texted!” Izumi exclaimed, raising her phone in the air with excitement.
“No way,” the girl with the attitude responded.
“That’s a good sign!” the soft spoken girl added. “What did she say?”
“She asked if we could talk more about the band.”
“Invite her over, Izumi!”
“Already did. She should be here soon.”
Walking towards the arts building you kept glancing at your phone every few steps. Why hasn’t he texted you? Does he not care about how hurt you were? Semi kept clouding your mind. You guys text regularly and you assumed he would’ve texted by now asking you if you were okay or even just saying a morning. Maybe you should text him first, you thought but that idea went out the window when you made it your destination. You put your phone away and opened the door to focus on finding the room that Izumi told you they’d be in.
When you found the room you knocked on the door waited for someone to answer. You heard voices on the other side for a bit until the door opened to reveal the bathroom girls.
“Welcome!” Izumi greeted, letting you into the room before closing the door behind you. “Thanks for coming, this is the practice room we managed to snag.”
“Hi,” you greeted her before looking at the other girls and saying hello to them as well.
“We didn’t properly introduce ourselves yesterday, now did we?” the main girl spoke. “I’m Yui.” She put her hand out for you two to shake.
“I’m Haruka,” the timid one spoke.
“It’s nice to meet you all.” You took a second to look around the room. It was a pretty much empty room with some supplies and desks but it was all pushed to one side of the room while the open space they created housed their instruments. “How’d you get this room? Eita usually has to go off campus to practice with his mates.”
“I’m close with the music teacher, so she pulled some strings and managed to do this for us,” Yui answered.
“Is Semi your ex?” Haruka asked innocently which made the girls eyes go wide.
“Haru, you can’t just-“
“It’s okay. And no he’s not my ex, we’re just friends. When you guys found me I was just overwhelmed,” you told them. They looked at each other as if using telepathy to communicate with each other. They must’ve unanimously decided not to press you further with their own curiosity and changed the subject.
“So, what kind of music do you listen to?”
“I listen to a little bit of everything but mainly pop punk I guess. It’s hard to label it. What about you guys?”
“I get that and we’re pretty much the same. Haruka is mostly into metal, but she still vibes with all the other stuff,” Izumi answered.
At this you had to laugh a bit. The most innocent and quiet looking one of the group, enjoyed heavy music. “Haruka, no way,” you told her while looking at her.
She leveled her eyes with yours before giving you a closed eye smile and speaking, “I love the lyrics and head banging. It’s fun.”
“I have to agree. What sound are you guys aiming for with the band?” You asked.
“Honestly anything. I don’t think we really have a sound yet, we kinda just play and mess around until we find something we like or we’ll give a topic and try to match something up with that makes sense. You mind listening for a second?” Yui asked making her way towards the bass.
“I’d love to” you responded before taking a seat on one of the empty desks. Izumi made picked up the electric guitar and Haruka sat on the stool behind the drums which was another surprise for you. Don’t judge a book by its cover, you reminded yourself.
Haruka gave the count down with her drum sticks before leading them into the song. Yui joined in and then Izumi followed after. Watching them was entertaining, Haruka’s hair was going all over the place you had to question how she was able to see. Yui seemed to enjoy swaying side to side while occasionally head banging while Izumi seemed a little stiff but was definitely enjoying themself. They seemed to be in sync with each other it made you worry that if you were to join if you would mess up their flow. When they finished they looked up to you.
“So what do you think?” Yui asked.
“I’d like to join, I just don’t wanna mess you guys up. You guys seem pretty in tune with each other are you sure you want me to join?”
The girls immediately started laughing making you question if you said something wrong.
“You’re funny, y/n,” Haruka giggled.
“We’ve been together for a year now and have been practicing almost daily which is why we’re at the level we are,” Izumi stated.
“Listen, yeah we’re alright but we need that missing piece which is you. And we’re picky. We’ve been looking for six months for a lead so when we saw your performance we knew we had to have you. We want you,” Yui added on.
You slipped off the desk and smiled at them before presenting a notebook you brought along with you. “Then I guess I’m in. This is my lyric book, basically what I have to offer besides my voice.”
Yui took the book and flipped through it while Izumi and Haruka looked over the writing as well. Yui and Izumi looked very concentrated while Haruka’s expression showed amazement.
“You’re good!”
“Dude, you’re definitely in. I can’t wait to perform these live in front of others!”
“Damn girly, you really are full of surprises.”
Blushing at their compliments you accepted your journal back. “Thank you, I’ve been writing since my first year.”
“Can I ask why there were some ripped pages?” Izumi asked.
“Oh, those were some songs I wrote for Eita’s band. I felt like they were more his style so I gave them to him.”
You guys continued chatting until it was around lunch time. They wished you goodbye and reminded you to come back tomorrow to start joining them for practice. You left the practice room with a smile on your face, excited for what the future held in store for your new band.
-
The week went by fast, you basically spent it writing more lyrics since all your school work was already done.
The school dance was tonight and so was the dinner that you were joining. You got out of the shower and threw on some sweats before making your way back to your dorm so that other girls could go take a shower to get ready.
“Hey, Y/n,” Yui greeted when she was stepping out of her dorm with a towel. “You getting ready?”
“Yeah, you’re going to the dance too right?” You told her, taking a step closer to the wall so others could walk by.
“Yep. I assume I’ll see you there. You’re going to that dinner thing with your friends first right?”
You nodded your head up and down. “Mhmm. I’ll probably part ways with them at the dance and try to find you and the others.”
“Sounds good. Remember, if anything happens, you have us to rely on. I know we barely know each other yet but we’re here for you,” she told you honestly. Yui may come off strong, but she really is a reliable human being. “I’m gonna try to find a shower head, see ya.”
When you made it back into your dorm you noticed a package in front of your door. Picking up and making your way inside you inspected it to make sure it was for you before opening it. The label read your name followed by the sender, Rarity Records. Your breath hitched.
You heard rumors that agencies were going to attend the talent show, but you weren’t sure you believed it. You carefully sliced the top of the package using a pair of scissors to unveil the contents. In the package you discovered a letter along with some snacks, stickers, and merch from artists that belonged to the label.
Dear L/n F/n,
We would like to congratulate you on your win last week! Your performance was beautiful and we believe you have a lot of talent. We’d like to invite you to join our label to help make you shine and prosper. Please contact us at this number. We await your call.
Sincerely,
Rarity Records
A label wants to sign you! Your wildest dream is on the verge of coming true! You had to tell someone!
“Oh my god, I have to text Eita,” you spoke aloud. Unplugging your phone from the charging cord and unlocking it, you quickly tapped on the conversation and typed out your message. You were about to hit send until you remembered the situation you were in.
Semi still hasn’t contacted you and it made you question if that concluded the end of your friendship. You’re well aware that you directly told him not to speak to you but at the end of the day it’s not like you yelled at him and made it into a huge argument. You missed your best friend. You know you should text him, he probably doesn’t even realize what’s wrong but you were hurting too much internally to reach out to him, even if it was exciting news that you know he’d congratulate you on.
You deleted the message and connected your phone back to it’s cord and made your way to your blow dryer. Once you finished drying your hair you went back to your phone to turn on some music to listen to while you get ready.
You sang along to the song and all the songs after that as you were getting ready. The last step was to put on the dress that you had. It was a stunning red dress with some gems and lace here and there but the glam wasn’t overwhelming.
“Knock, knock. Can I come in?” Tendou asked from behind your door.
“It’s locked and I’m getting dressed! give me a second!” you answered. You had the dress on, just couldn’t zip it up completely. Giving up on your attempts you made your way towards the door to let your friend in. “Hey,” you greeted when you opened the door.
Tendou’s back was leaning against your door before so when you opened it he stumbled back a bit but was quick to catch his balance. He pivoted and looked up from his phone only to be welcomed by your beauty. His eyes went wide before opening his mouth to speak. “I- you look, wow.”
You gave a small chuckle before attempting to greet him again. “Hi, Tendou.”
“Hi..” he answered, still mesmerized. “Sorry, you look really beautiful tonight.”
“Thank you. I was nervous about the bright red but it turned out really nice. Oh, do you mind zipping it up and clasping it for me?” You asked as you twirled around to expose your back to him. He raised his hands to do as you asked, careful not to get the zipper caught. When he was done you turned your body once again and closed your door to leave with him. “Let’s go, I’m starving,” you laughed as you grabbed his wrist to pull him towards the parking lot, failing to notice the bush on his face.
-
Tendou and you arrived a little late to the dinner due to the fact that you were having too much fun chatting in the car that he missed the turn three times, but eventually you arrived to your destination.
“You’re late, Tendou,” Ushijima said when you both arrived to the table.
“Only fifteen minutes. Here you go, Y/n,” Tendou spoke as he pulled out your chair for you.
“Oh, thank you,” you blushed as he helped you settle into the group. The lineup went as Ushijima’s date, Ushijima, Tendou, and you next to him. On the other side was Semi’s date, Semi, Reon, and then Reon’s girlfriend, the girlfriend being across from you.
Throughout the dinner you had a smile on your face. It was definitely awkward at first since it was the first time you were seeing Semi in the past week. You decided to communicate as little as you needed with him, not to make a point, but to be polite. You didn’t need to somehow ruin anyone’s night in any way. You were all together to have fun and enjoy the little time you all had left together in high school.
While you were enjoying yourself and chatting with the other’s, Semi found himself glancing at you every once in a while. He was right to believe you and Tendou had something going on, Tendou wouldn’t stop bringing you up to him during practice. Tendou always had something positive to say about you and now here he was, at dinner with you as his date.
Good for him, Semi thought to himself. Tendou finally made a move on you and got what he wanted. He was happy for his friends, but he felt uneasy. Why hadn’t you ever expressed your thoughts of his friend to him? You always called him your best friend but you never spoke about Tendou to him, only saying he was a nice guy if asked.
It made him question why you were so upset with him when you asked about his girlfriend. It’s not like you told him about Tendou which is why he didn’t see the need to tell you about his girl. He’d been wanting to talk to you about it but knowing how hot headed you both can be he opted to waiting for you to confront him first. He thought giving you time would be the best option.
“Semi, you should eat more before we go,” his date told him, distracting him from his thoughts.
“Oh, you’re right,” he responded before picking up his utensils to continue eating.
Taking one last glance at your form, he had to admit it was the prettiest he’s ever seen you. Your hair was done differently, your dress looked fitting, and the red really made you look hot. Your smile screamed that you were having a good time, a sight he missed seeing.
“The party has arrived!” Tendou spoke when your group entered the main doors of the gymnasium. You laughed at his silliness until Ushijima spoke.
“We should take pictures.”
“Good idea, buddy,” Tendou agreed. You all made your way over to some props and took turns taking pictures. Some were just the guys, the others just the girls, then group, followed by individual. Luck was favoriting you, you didn’t have to take pictures for Semi because him and Reon partnered up. You and Tendou did multiple poses, Tendou claiming you guys needed one from all angles, as Ushijima took pictures.
As you were getting your pictures taken, Semi was taking pictures for Reon. His eyes kept darting between both parties, lingering more on you than the couple directly in front of him. Semi was lucky his girlfriend didn’t notice but his friend sure did. Reon could tell how bad Semi wanted to talk to you and he couldn’t understand why he didn’t. Semi was never one to keep his thoughts to himself unless if it had potential to hurt someone else.
Reon excused himself from his girlfriend and explained what he was doing to which she responded with a nod. “Can we talk?” Reon asked Semi once they decided they were done taking pictures.
“Come on, let’s dance!” Reon’s girlfriend told Semi’s date before grabbing her hand and dragging her to the dance floor.
“What did you wanna talk about?” a confused Semi asked Reon.
“What’s up with you?”
“What do you mean?”
“You have your girlfriend right next to you and you’re paying more attention to your best friend. That’s not okay dude. You’re lucky they haven’t noticed.”
“What are you talking about? I haven’t given Y/n any attention. We haven’t talked since last week,” Semi countered to which Reon sighed.
“Listen, you may not be aware you’re doing this, but since they joined us at dinner, you haven’t stopped looking at them. Why are your eyes wandering so much when you have a girlfriend right there?”
“I noticed too,” Ushijima spoke up.
“Have I been glancing at them that much?”
“Yes.”
“I don’t know what’s going on between you two, but you need to talk it out,” Reon stated. The three boys turned to find you in the sea of people.
“There,” Ushijima spoke while pointing at the red hair that stuck out. “Go.”
With a gentle push from his friends, Semi walked into the crowd, careful not to step on anyone’s feet while saying excuse me to make his way towards you.
-
“How are you feeling?” Tendou asked you. Both of you were currently swaying back and forth, his hands on your waist as you held his biceps.
“I’m good. Tonight’s been a lot of fun so far,” you smiled at him.
He returned the gesture before removing a hand from your waist to the back of your head to bring you closer to him before putting it back down. “That’s good, but how do you feel?” he asked again, making you realize what he was really asking.
“Hmm.” Taking a deep breath to think you responded. “I still feel hurt, but I can’t find myself to be mad at him. I don’t even care about that girl, I don’t know her and don’t plan to be her friend. I just have to accept that if he wanted me, he would’ve asked me. It’s a tough pill to swallow but it’s the truth. I wish I didn’t hold onto the little hope I had and just opened my eyes to see he clearly wasn’t interested. We were just best friends, erm- friends- we’re just friends.”
Tendou changed his hand placement again. The hand that previously touched your head was back as his other hand rubbed circles between your shoulder blades. You didn’t feel like crying, you already did all of that last week. You had no more tears left in you and you just wanted to move on from the situation.
You and Tendou didn’t speak for a while, just swayed and listened to the song that was playing. “Can I tell you something? Tendou broke the silence.
“Yeah. What is it?” you asked.
“This is probably a bad time to tell you all of this. Semi is a fool, and I’m not saying that just because of his fashion sense. I don’t understand why he didn’t make a move on you because I am about to.”
His last line made you move your head so you were now making eye contact with him. “What?”
“I see your value. You are a treasure. Silly rocker Semi has overlooked what a catch you are. I never interfered because I knew of your feelings for him. I understand I’d just be a second option for you, a rebound if you will, but I’m willing to take any opportunity to get to know you better. I like you, Y/n. Can we get to know each other better?”
You were shocked. You knew Tendou as the friendly sightly crazy middle blocker on the volleyball team. You knew him as a class clown. You knew him as Semi’s friend. You never would’ve expected this moment to ever happen.
Tendou leaned a little closer to you which made you think fast. At the end of the day, you had nothing to lose, you already lost the guy you really loved. Leaning in as well, your lips connected. Unfortunately, it was at that moment Semi reached you both. It was at that moment Semi finally realized how he felt about you, but he didn’t feel like taking away the happiness from his friends for his own selfish feelings.
“Whoa dude, what happened?” Reon asked his teammate when he came back with a scowl on his face.
“I feel like a fucking idiot.”
—————
a/n: damn, this was supposed to be a Semi fic but here I am feeding the Tendou stans. Oopsies. ALSO I DID NOT THINK IT WOULD BE THIS LONG (and poorly edited again so another oopsies)

The Legend of Hana Part 15
Warnings: Fluff?
Rating: SFW
Sorrowful...the cruel Heartless gather...the Keyblade can release all hatred in your heart. It can gather all of the darkness in your heart. And before long, turn it into Kingdom Hearts. Interweaving the lost hearts of the hosts.
Kingdom Hearts...
“Remind me again, why we’re doing this?” Roxy asked as her and the other girls were getting ready.
“We’re welcoming a new member, Roxy. Father wants us to look our best for the ceremony,” Yui replied.
“Ugh! Doesn’t he know that I hate this kind of shit?”
“I hate them too. But I know Uncle Xemnas would be pissed if we don’t show up,” Hana said.
“Yeah, you’re right. He could at least give me a pantsuit.” Roxy gasped as the Dusk Nobody tightened her corset really tight.
“OI! YOU WANNA DIE?!” she yelled. The Dusk apologised and continued to help Roxy with her dress. After the girls were ready, they walked over to the main entrance where everyone was waiting.
Hana:
The Twins:
Rumi:
“Wow! You girls look nice!” Luna said.
“Thanks!” Rumi said. Roxy grabbed one of her hair ties and was about to put it up but Saïx stopped her.
“Hair down,” he said.
“Ugh, whatever,” Roxy said and stopped what she was doing.
“Really? She can’t put her hair up?” Luna asked.
“Everyone needs to look prim and proper for this welcome ceremony,” Saïx said as he straightened Roxy’s back.
“You’re not my dad,” Roxy said.
“But I am his second in command.” Roxy scoffed and waited for her father to arrive. Meanwhile, in Twilight Town, a boy with blonde hair woke up in front of Ansem’s old mansion. Xemnas emerged from a corridor of darkness and walked toward him.
“You seek answers,” Xemnas said. He waved a cloaked arm between the two of them and the word 'SORA' appeared in the air, the letters shiny, silver, and hovering. “I can give you purpose.”
He waved his arm again and the letters swirled around the boy, gaining momentum until they're barely visible as letters. Xemnas slammed his fist into them and four points of golden light shot out, forcing the boy to flinch. He opened his eyes and saw a new golden letter X hovering before him. The silver letters rejoined with the X in their center forming a new word, turning fully golden...
“Roxas,” the boy said.
“That is right--the new you,” Xemnas said. He opened a corridor and looked at Roxas. “Shall we?”
“Where to?” Roxas asked.
“Your new home.” Roxas took a deep breath and followed Xemnas through the corridor. They soon exited the corridor where they saw the rest of the Organization along with Luna and the girls.
“Welcome to the Organization, No. XIII,” Xemnas said. Since the girls were technically princesses, they curtsied in front of Roxas.
“Oh fuck this,” Luna said and left. Xemnas sighed and looked at everyone else.
“Let the party begin,” he said.
~~~~
Hana and Roxy were sitting at one of the tables, wishing that Luna was here to party with them. Hana suddenly stood up, confusing Roxy.
“The hell are you doing?” she asked.
“Convincing Luna to come down,” Hana said.
“Good luck.” Hana walked away from the party and headed over to Luna’s room. She knocked on her door and waited for it to open. Luna opened the door and saw Hana standing there.
“Oh, hey. What’s up?” Luna said.
“Can you please come to the party? I know dad wants to be with you,” Hana said.
“Well, considering how strict your uncle is, I don’t think I will be any fun.”
“Please?” Luna sighed and moved a piece of her hair out of her face.
“Alright. But if your uncle tries anything, I’m out of there,” she said.
“I’ll handle him,” Hana winked. Luna giggled and looked at what she was currently wearing.
“Do you have any dresses I can borrow?” she asked.
“Here, follow me.”
~~~~
Luna’s dress:
As Hana was doing Luna’s hair, Luna decided to ask a question.
“Is your uncle always this strict?” she asked.
“He didn’t used to be. No one used to be that cold,” Hana replied.
“What happened? I-if you don’t mind me asking.”
“It was two days after Christmas. On my birthday. Rumi came in crying as everyone was having breakfast. Uncle Xemnas ran over to her, asking what was wrong. She told him that her family went missing, leaving her by herself.”
“That’s horrible!”
“Yeah. Rumi’s dad is Xemnas’s brother so Xemnas is really ticked off.”
“Man, your family’s crazy.”
“Yeah. But I’m glad I’m a part of it.” Hana put the finishing touches to Luna’s hair and was all done.
“Ta-da!” she said.
“Wow! This is amazing!” Luna exclaimed. Hana smiled and took Luna’s hand.
“Come on. It’s party time!” Hana said. Luna giggled and followed Hana down to where the party was.

Beads of sweat kept running down the sides of your forehead. It was impossible to keep going, you knew your body would end up giving out any second.
“I-I...” you huffed out as your calves were getting ready to give out at any second. “I-I can’t! Tenya!... Y-you’re going too...d-damn fast!”
The blue-haired man turned around and stopped, taking a good look at you he realized you weren’t lying. Iida moved his glasses up the bridge of his nose into a comfortable adjustment. “Alright.” he said, “Let’s stop here and walk back home.”
“T-thank you!” you mumbled and collapsed on to the ground panting heavily. As much as you tried to breathe properly it was impossible getting enough air in.
“I get that I didn’t run for almost three weeks....b-but was it necessary to get up at 6 in the morning?” you questioned looking at him.
“You were the one who said you wanted to get back to running.” he answered, “I won’t be able to do it later since one of my patients is having surgery today...”
“Right...little Yui.” you said “H-How is she doing?” you grabbed your filled water bottle and began to drink sighing as you felt the cold water running down your throat.
“Yui is doing better, we hope this surgery will be the last. After all, she’s barely a kid, and getting these many procedures is too dangerous for her body to handle.”
You smiled softly looking at him “Don’t worry. She’s in good hands, Yui is being treated by the greatest Surgeon in the world!”
He smiled small “Thank you Y/n. Are you ready to head back? We have an hour until we have to go back to work.”
“Yes, I’m ready to go home and get myself cleaned. I need to ASAP since today there’s a lot to do,” you added.
“When aren’t you not busy?” he joked.
“Stuff that happens when you become an assistant I guess.” you shrugged “I’m stopping by after work to bring you dinner though.”
“I can’t wait to look forward to it then.” he chuckled.
After an hour and a half, you’d finally made it to the company on time with fifteen minutes to spare. You checked in at the front desk, quickly making your way over to the cafeteria to pick up Midoriya’s coffee for the morning.
“Busy morning?” Sara asked as she handed you the fresh cup of coffee along with a treat.
“A little you could say that.” you answered chuckling and gave her the money, “I’ll see you at lunch!”
She waved goodbye only shaking her head, smiling at your silliness. You checked the time seeing you had five minutes left. You headed to his office and began sorting everything out for the day. The coffee was neatly placed on his desk, the papers that were scattered across were put back into the same file.
The phone then rang, you quickly went over and picked it up. “Midoriya’s office, [name] [last name] speaking,” you spoke grabbing your notepad and pen ready to write a message down.
“Hello this is Hassaku Daisuke from Iwate school of Engineering.” he said, “Is Mr. Midoriya there by any chance?”
“I apologize but he hasn’t arrived yet. Would you like to leave a message?” you asked.
“Please tell him to call me back as soon as possible. I’d like to speak to him about something important. I’ll leave you my number so he can contact me.” he said.
You then agreed and wrote down the phone number making sure it was correct. Afterward, you bid him goodbye and hung up, you placed the sticky note on your desk where it won’t get lost.
“Hey.” someone spoke, you turned around and saw Bakugo standing there by the door.
Your cheeks turned a light pink “H-hey...Bakugo.” you softly smiled “Midoriya hasn’t arrived yet if you were looking for him.”
“Actually... I came to see you.” he rubbed the back of his neck feeling nervous to look at you. “I wasn’t sure if you had anything to eat yet...” he then moved his arm forward to show you two plastic food trays. “Are...you hungry?”
It was hard to contain the smile that was spreading widely by the second. Trying to keep yourself calmed down you nodded shyly, “I-I am...I was about to get something to eat.”
Bakugo smirked, “It’s a good thing I showed up first then.”
‘The way he dressed today makes it hard to look away, I can’t believe he brought me food.’ you thought ‘Maybe...he’s changing...’
“What?” he asked, “Is something wrong?”
“Oh no!” you raised your hands while shaking your head, you chuckled lightly “Sorry...let’s eat before the food gets cold.”
A small smile formed on his lips, his heart was racing and smirk was impossible to hide. You opened your plate to see Tamagoyaki on top of a bed of rice and a side of miso soup with some slices of salmon as well. The steam hit your nostrils making your stomach grumble. you didn’t realize how hungry you were.
“This...looks delicious. Thank you for the food Bakugo.” you said, “They’re all my favorite foods.”
He nodded “You should start eating...or else...you’ll pass out throughout the day.”
Sitting down next to each other you tried your best to calm your beating heart.
"Have you spoken to Mina?" he asked.
"No not after the conversation we had. Denki and her have been busy these days." you answered, "I'm surprised she hasn't messaged me she usually does."
"As long as she hasn't told you anything embarrassing about me then I'm fine with that." he admitted "I can't believe she opened her mouth," he mumbled poking at his rice before grabbing it with his chopsticks.
"I mean...all in all I'm glad she told me what was going on." you confessed "It...well...- gives clarity on how things are now at least." you chuckled rubbing the back of your head. "That's a good thing no?..."
Bakugo nodded biting his inner lip "Yeah...just not the way I wanted you to find out."
"But it worked and I'm thankful she told me that night. It helped make things clearer for me now that I understand."
He placed his chopsticks down on the table and looked at you. "About Abigail..."
"You don't have to explain it to me." you said "I know you both have a past...and I'm not inclined to say anything when I don't know how it happened or how you're feeling. All I ask is...for you to be honest...as long as you're doing that then...that's all that matters."
"Mhmm." he sounded sure yet at the same time he was conflicted about how things will turn out.
You smiled brightly and then dig into every piece of food in front of you. It was truly heaven how all the flavors came together so well. “I know that Kaminari and Todoroki are into business as well...but what about Iida?” Bakugo asked.
“Iida chose a different profession he was set on going into business with Todoroki then he had a troubling moment in his life and decided to pursue into being a doctor,” you answered. “He’s a great surgeon, after studying for 12 years he was able to finally be part of a hospital and is now doing surgery for almost 2 years.”
“That’s...a lot.” he said, “I’m surprised he never gave into to changing is occupation.”
“He did actually, a few times. Some of the professors weren’t all that understanding, they were tough which brought his confidence down. Still, he never gave up even when it was impossible to pass at times.” you smiled small “I admire him...he’s been so strong, sometimes I wished I had his dedication.”
Bakugo placed his chopsticks down and turned to look at you. “I know I was a dickhead...and you wanted to quit. But I think you have a lot more guts coming back here despite all the bullshit I threw at you. You’re definitively strong and not weak for wanting to leave. I was at fault for that. You are doing fine now, even if another problem happens you know not to back down. That’s what you’ve always shown.”
“It wasn’t easy...still isn’t actually.” you admitted “A lot of people still believe that I was the one who screwed up on the project.
“Fuck them.” he abruptly said.
You were taken back by his use of words knowing these were his employees he was talking about. “I-I know they were talking bad but I don’t it’s necessary to talk like that-”
He then cut you off “-it doesn’t matter if they’re my employees or not. They’re talking crap without even knowing shit in the first place. It’s not acceptable, I’m not going to defend them if they’re acting like a bunch of high school punks. This isn’t a playground anymore, if they’re brave enough to talk crap behind your back then they’re too weak to tell you upfront.”
As much as you tried being the good person you knew deep down he was right. People like that shouldn’t be respected, it’s not okay to start rumors where you’re supposed to be professional.
“I hate to say that...it’s the way to go but in the end...” you sighed “You’re right Bakugo. Sometimes it's impossible to change their mind no matter how hard you try.” you played with your fingers looking down at your lap as flashbacks began to come back.
There was a change in the mood, Bakugo noticed it right away. Something was hurting you, yet it wasn’t his place to ask you about the problem not when it was troubling you so much. He moved his chair closer to you and held your hand.
Without any warning or signs, he was holding it protectively. You couldn’t talk, there was something about him that made it impossible to speak. He looked at you in the eyes. With his look he saying so much to you even if it seemed like he wasn’t.
“It’s fine.” he softly spoke.
Your heart was beating rapidly against your chest. You couldn’t look away from his red orbs. “Please don’t let me fall.” you suddenly spoke not realizing what was coming out of your mouth.
“Never.”
Your lips curved into a small smile hearing his reply.
A knock then sounded at the door disrupting the moment between you two. “Ah! Here you are [last name].” Your friend and colleague, Nakano, spoke as she opened the door seeing you and Bakugo together.
“Nakano, hey is there something you need?” you asked.
“Mr. Midoriya is here he’s waiting for you in the conference room,” she said.
You looked at her confused, “In the conference room? Did he say what for?”
“All he mentioned was about it being important. He told me to take care of any calls that came in.” Nakano replied.
“Oh.” you said, “I see, thank you I’ll be right out then.”
She excused herself and closed the door. “You should get going it’s important you don’t want to keep him waiting,” Bakugo spoke.
“Right.” you slightly smiled, “Um...thank you for the breakfast. I’ll make sure to finish it later when I get back. I’m sorry I have to go.”
“It’s fine.” he replied “I need to talk to Kirishima about something. At least you have something in your stomach.”
“I’ll see you later then,” you said grabbing your phone and clipboard along with a few other important things. Bakugo gave you a nod, you turned back around to look at him again before closing the door.
Your heart was still beating when you left the room. You weren’t sure how to comprehend what happened in there. All you were sure about was how your chest tightened when he held your hand in yours.
‘Whatever happens...I don’t want to be afraid of going forward.’ you thought. Upon seeing the room you took a deep breath and calmed yourself down before walking down the stairs.
When you arrived in the lobby you saw someone standing in front of the main deck. “I need to speak to her please, if you tell her who I am I’m sure she’ll know who I am.” they impatiently spoke.
“I understand but she’s in a meeting right now with Mr. Midoriya. I can’t interrupt-”
“Suzuki, it’s okay,” you said walking over to the person who had their back turned towards you. “Is there something you need that’s important?”
The mysterious stranger then turned around, your legs took a step back not believing who it was. “W-what...are you doing here?” you questioned trying to keep your voice down.
“I need to talk to you.” they went to touch but you moved your back not wanting to be anywhere close to them. “Don’t...touch me...”
They sighed “You must come with me.”
“Why would I want to go anywhere with you, Reo?-”
“It’s your dad.” he answered, “He’s at the hospital.”
Your eyes blinked not comprehending what he had said “What?... Why did they call you to come? You have no business with them.”
“I was at work when your mother called me telling me about your dad. She didn’t have anyone else to call. She insisted that I’d come for you so you could go see him.” he explained.
“It doesn’t matter...there’s no reason for me to be near them...please leave,” you said swallowing the cries that wanted to erupt. “I don’t want to have to call security.”
“I understand that you don’t want to see me but they’re your parents first.” he said “The least you could do is push away that anger and go see them. I’m not sure how injured he is.” Reo then took out a card and wrote down the address of the hospital he was at. “If you change your mind this is where he is.”
The numbers were immediately recognizable to you “He’s in the hospital where Tenya is working at?”
He nodded “Tenya offered to look after him, I don’t know much about your dad’s details. I was at fault for all that happened don’t hold the grudge against them. You know how long it has been...don’t let more years pass by.”
Reo then left, Bakugo walked down the same stairs after seeing the mysterious man leave. “Is everything alright?” he spoke.
Your phone then vibrated, Tenya had sent you a message telling you about your dad’s condition. “Yeah...everything is fine,” you answered. “I should get going, Midoriya is probably waiting for me.”
“You don’t need to lie,” he said.
“I’ll talk to you later Bakugo.” you excused yourself and went to the conference room. He followed you and managed to stop you before entering the room. You were going to ask him to let you go but he spoke.
“I’ll tell Midoriya what happened. You should go to the hospital you have a job to be next to your father,” he said.
“And I have a job to do here as well, I can’t drop everything and go see them,” you added. “I’ll go once I’m done-”
“You can come back and do the work he told you to do. Right now something else is more important than attending a stupid meeting.”
‘He was right...why was he right?!’ you thought, struggling to find an answer to this whole mess. Sometimes you preferred to not have had parents, now when everything was set and done it’s like fate wanted to mess with you.
You relaxed your arm, “Fine...” you softly spoke, Bakugo then let go of your arm “I’ll go...I will be back in time before we all get together in the afternoon.”
“I’ll tell Midoriya and let him know you needed to get something done,” he said looking at you. “Call me if you need anything.”
“I will.” your eyes looked at the door and then left leaving Bakugo alone.
He opened the brown double door, inside he saw all sorts of people standing around. Some he knew while others were only strangers he didn’t care about. “Midoriya,” he called out.
The green-haired man then turned around to see his colleague standing there. “What is it Bakugo?” Midoriya asked.
“I need to talk to you about something.”

Studying with the boy next door
Sugawara x Y/n fluff
“Hey y/n! We still on for studying later?” The familiar cute boy asked after class ended “of course Suga! Wanna walk home together after practice is over?” you smile at him as you throw your backpack over your shoulder as you both walk out from the class.. He was so handsome and sweet, you always felt lucky to be able to be neighbors with your best friend. “Sure! I’d love that. I’ll meet you after practice right here!” You nod and smile as you get to the door of the girls gym “will do. See you then!” He laughs and ruffles your hair before running off to his own practice
You were a third year wing spiker of the girls volleyball team as well as the ace, which didn’t really mean much considering your team wasn’t the best. Not a lot of the girls were as committed to volleyball like you and the captain, most only came to the practice after class. “Let’s work on our receives!” Yui says when all the girls have warmed up properly. After training receives you practice spikes and after that you have a practice game, since you have the right amount of girls here today.
You push yourself harder than usual, covering spaces where some of your team members should have been but didn’t really care enough to get the ball if it was too difficult. You’re exhausted by the time practice is over, you gave everything you had in this practice and your body felt like jello. You couldn’t help but smile knowing this will eventually lead to you being stronger.
Yui pulls you aside after you change into your track suit, “I just want to thank you for always being so invested in this. I really appreciate having someone who sees it like I do” you smile “of course! You’re a great captain Yui.” She blushes a little “I sometimes don’t see it but I appreciate you saying it” you pat her shoulder and notice Suga standing outside through the window. “I gotta go Yui. See you in the morning!” You smile and she nods as you grab your bag and head out.
“Hey Sugawara how was practice?” You say with a smile “it was good! Thanks for asking” he smiles sweetly as you start walking home together. “How was yours y/n?” He asks back and you sigh as you run your hands through your hair “oh you know” you say and laugh “same as always” “same as always meaning you pick up the slack for like four players?” He asks and you nod “basically” you laugh a little sadly “but at least I’m always working hard. I’ll for sure get stronger. Hey maybe if we finish studying early we can just hang out and watch an episode of something” he nods “of course! That sounds good” he loved how optimistic you were, truly optimistic and not fake positive. He smiles at you as you get to your houses “I’m gonna shower and then I’ll come over to your place” you say with a smile and he nods “see you soon y/n!” He says as he heads across the street to his house.
“Hey mom!” You say when walking into your house and kicking off your shoes. “Hey dear how was school?!” She calls back from inside the living room “it was good. Practice was good. I’m gonna study with suga later is that okay?” You take your backpack off and leave it by the bottom of the stairs “yeah that’s fine honey!” She says and you call out a thanks as you run up the stairs to your room.
After a quick hot shower you change into a pair of joggers and a comfy tee, you grab your slippers and head back down stairs. “I’m leaving!” You say and your mom comes out of the kitchen “I’ve packed up some dinner for you and some study snack” she smiles and hands you a bag “thank you so much mom! Love you!” You kiss her cheek then slip on your slippers before grabbing your backpack and going out the door.
Sugawara had made sure his room was clean the night before, it was always clean but now it was clean clean. He ate some dinner with his family before taking a quick shower, changing into grey sweats and a black tee. He made sure he had some water bottles and your favorite candy for when you get here.
“Hey y/n! He’s upstairs in his room. You can go on up” you bow slightly “thank you mrs Sugawara!” You say and smile before walking in and slipping off your shoes by the door. You go up the stairs and down the hall to the bedroom you’ve been in hundreds of times. You knock a few times before opening the door “hey suga! Your mom let me in” you say as you close the door behind you “hey y/n! Ready to cram for this test?” You laugh “as ready as I’ll ever be!”
You’re sitting cross legged on the end of his bed and he’s leaning against the wall at the top of his bed with his legs crossed, your books in your laps and papers strewn about. “Hey what did you get for problem 23 on the practice test?” You ask and he ruffles through his papers “uuuhhmmm I got 27.56” he says and you furrow your brow “can you walk me through how you got to that answer?” You say and he nods “of course!” As he begins explaining and helping you you shiver, your wet hair making you colder. He noticed and as he is still explaining he leans over and grabs his sweatshirt from over the chair next to his bed and hands it to you. You blush and smile at him as you slip it over your head and pull it down your body. “Thank you” you say and he nods once with a slight blush on his cheeks “so you just do it like this?” You ask and write out the problem on a piece of paper “yes! Like that. Good job!” He says and you smile, butterflies in your belly.
After an hour or so you’re both laying side by side on your stomachs facing the bottom of the bed, you’re half asleep reading the textbook and your legs and arms are throbbing from practice. “How about we take a break?” He suggests when he notices how exhausted you look “yes please” you say and fold your book pushing it aside, laying your head down on the bed. He laughs and grabs your books and his, setting them on the ground next to his bed. He grabs his headphones and phone “let’s watch an episode of (your all time fav show)” your head pops up and you smile at him “okay!” You say and he lays back down next to you, offering one side of his ear buds to you as he gets the show queued up on his phone.
Halfway through the episode you feel your eyes drooping, you fight to stay awake but you’re not doing a good job. You feel your head get heavy and when it hits his shoulder you sigh at the comfort, a small smile on your lips. You reach over with your right hand and place it on his forearm of his right arm next to you as your eyes get so heavy you can’t hold them open anymore. You couldn’t see him but he was blushing so red, his heart beat so quick in his ears, he couldn’t focus on the show or anything else other than the way your head fell softly to his shoulder and the way you sighed so content. When you grabbed his arm he swore his heart stopped for a second.
When you woke up you felt like you were wrapped in a warm cloud. You were so comfy and content. But then you remembered you were supposed to be studying with Suga and your eyes pop open. He’s asleep, you think to yourself, he’s so sweet and handsome. He’s laying on his side next to you, one arms around you, one arm out that you’re currently using as a pillow. Your hands are between you both clutched to your chest. You study him for a minute, drinking in his features and his deep breaths. The way his hair is falling across his forehead, you reach up and brush it away from his eyes and trail your fingertips down the side of his face before landing on his cheek, your thumb softly brushing side to side.
You smile at him when his eyes open “hi” you say softly and watch as his cheeks turn pink when he realizes how you’re both laying. He smiles and decides to take a chance, his arm around you tightens and he pulls you closer to his chest “hi” he says back and kisses your forehead softly.
Your heart is racing and your cheeks are so red you can feel their warmth, he pulled you as close as he could to him, if you looked up into his eyes your noses would probably touch, if you leaned forward just a bit you could kiss his neck. He smelled like the cologne he always wore, it had a hint of mint that you always loved. You always loved everything about him. “Kōshi” you whispered and tilted your head up, looking into his eyes and brushing your nose against his.
For as long as you could remember you had a crush on the boy next door, from playing together as kids to walking to school together, you loved every memory and every second you got to spend with him. He was kind and caring, he always remembered everything about you and could read you like a book. He knew when you were upset or when you needed space. And the same went for you, you knew everything about him and knew when he needed your company or needed his favorite food or just needed his alone time. You could tell by looking into his eyes how difficult his class was or how hard training has been on him. It felt like this was where your friendship was going to lead but you couldn’t help your inner thoughts telling you that this was a one sided feeling. That he didn’t feel the same and just wanted you guys to remain just friends but now it’s different.
Now he’s holding you against his chest as your noses touch, you wrap one of your legs around his waist in an attempt to bring him closer to you, looking into his eyes and reading his expression. He wanted to hold you for so long, craved to touch you. But he didn’t know how you felt, and he was worried to even bring it up. He wouldn’t ever do anything to ruin the relationship you had. But here you were, in his arms, reciprocating the feelings he’s showing. He can see it in your eyes, how you’re looking at him with so much adoration, how you said his name. “Y/n” he whispers back and his lips press softly to the corner of your mouth.
*knock knock knock* “kōshi? Y/n? Do you know what time it is?” The doorknob turns and you scramble out of his arms, falling to the ground, as his mom opens the door. You sit up and pretend that everything is normal. “Sorry mom we lost track of time studying” Suga says, now sitting on the edge of the bed next to we’re you’re sitting on the ground. You stand and pick up your books shoving them quick into your bag. “Thank you, Kōshi, for helping me study. I’ll surely ace the exam tomorrow!” You smile at him sweetly before bowing to his mom “I apologize for staying so late Mrs. Sugawara. I’ll be going now” she laughs “it’s okay dear. Have a good night” she smiles as you walk past her down the steps. Slipping your slippers on your feet and you pull your phone from your pocket as you leave the house, to send him a text “talk tomorrow?” With a kiss emoji. He sent back a heart and said “definitely”

Yuma’s Possession
Lol, I’m terrible with titles. Anyway, here is the requested yandere Yuma x Yui fic with a scenario involving a transfer student. Since this is a school request, let’s just assume that Yui is 18, Yuma for the sake of stating it is also over 18. I made up a transfer student and had a little fun with it, lol. To be continued?
Fandom: Diabolik Lovers Pairing: Yuma Mukami x Yui Komori Rating: E - Explicit 18+ Warnings: Blood, crying, light choking, spanking, naughty words, slapping, humiliation Word Count: 4,819
Yui’s smile was bright and unguarded as she walked side by side next to the new transfer student of Ryoutei Academy. She had taken it upon herself to show him around since she knew what it was like to change schools, especially so late in the year. Akio was a quiet type, average build but slender and taller than she was. They stopped at the rooftop to have lunch since it was usually deserted at this time of day, just to give him some space from meeting so many new people. The stars illuminated the sky rather brightly that night, giving the roof a peaceful ambiance along with the soft lighting from the lanterns.
“Thanks for being my tour guide today,” he laughed, tucking a lustrous black lock of hair behind his ear. His hair was messy and layered, but fashionable. It did well to frame his face, accentuating his features. What had started out as an awkward exchange of information had melted into a relaxed atmosphere of sociability. The two of them set their bags down onto the rooftop and proceeded to set up their lunches. Unbeknownst to the pair, someone had been watching their encounter for a better half of the day they had spent together. Caramel eyes narrowed from a distance, watching the two of them getting along, with a fire that was growing like a deadly crescendo. Yuma gnashed his teeth together, digging his fingernails into the palms of his hands.
Had he not been a vampire, he may have had lasting marks from the action. The crescent moon shapes slowly faded from his skin as he lessened the tension in his fists. The sting of the cut took some of the edge off of his rage temporarily, only for it to come roiling back to the surface. ‘Who does that sow think she is? I should go over there right now and teach her a lesson of whose property she is…’ The itch to move over to the pair was building inside of him, but he kept it at bay. Instead, he continued to watch in silence, simmering when he saw a faint blush cross the other man’s features as their conversation carried on. The transfer student’s hand had brushed against hers as they exchanged food from their lunches and it took all of Yuma’s self-control not to beat the man to a bloody pulp on the spot. ‘No. I’ll nip this in the bud early. This needs a more permanent solution.’ A smile tugged at the vampire’s handsome features, but it was not one of mirth. Rather, it was a sickly smile of an infatuated man on the verge of a violent rampage. He had seen enough, and his plan was already in motion as he retreated from the scene before him so that he wouldn’t ruin the surprise earlier than he intended.
“I made it myself this morning!” she beamed, as the other male tried her home cooking. He had brought leftovers from the night before that his sister had made, but it was nice to try something different than he would usually eat. The clafoutis was fluffy and decorated with dark cherries, and even though it wasn’t reheated it still had its sweet and airy taste. Yui had made sure to pack an extra serving for Yuma, topped with powdered sugar, that morning because she knew that he liked sweets and thought that it would make him happy.
“Thank you, I wouldn’t usually eat something sweet so early in the day. It’s really good! Your family must be very proud of you,” he shared her cheery demeanor as he showered her in compliments. His amethyst eyes were focused on the young woman’s face as she ducked her head forward, her platinum tresses cascading forward, hiding her face slightly. Perhaps he had misspoken.
“I live with some of the other students here right now,” she paused, clearly thinking about how to word her situation, “as part of an exchange program of sorts.” He listened intently, a glimmer of interest flashing over his features before he replaced it with another cheery smile. “Even more reason to be proud then, you must be very important.” The words stung a little bit, given the reality of her situation, but she was still thankful for his praise. There was something about it that gave her a sense of normalcy. She lifted her head again, tucking her hair back. When her hand brushed against her collar it briefly flashed a puncture wound that did not go unnoticed. “Yui? Are you ok?” Akio started to ask but the sound of the bell caught her attention and she started to gather her belongings, laughing halfheartedly. “I guess we stayed out here longer than I thought, we’d better get to class before we’re late!”
After the clock struck 2 a.m. it was time to go home for the day. It was difficult acclimating to being awake primarily during the nighttime hours, but for the most part Yui was accustomed to it. However, it still didn’t stop her body’s internal clock from crying out. When she arrived home, she trotted off to find Yuma to see if he liked the dessert that she had packed for him earlier. Perhaps she could also see if she should make something else for him before she got ready for bed. She found it strange that she hadn’t seen him at all during the day, even stranger that he hadn’t been there to accompany her home. A small amount of worry settled in her stomach, and she wasn’t sure if something had happened to him or if he was avoiding her. “Yuma?” she knocked against his door.
There was no answer. She tried again, louder this time, but to no avail. Kou rounded the corner and waved his hand brightly at the young woman. “M-Nekochan~” he called out, walking toward her with one hand tucked away in his pocket. His posture was relaxed and she subconsciously relaxed around him. “Oh, hi Kou…I was just looking for Yuma, have you seen him?” she picked at the fabric of her sleeves absentmindedly, peeking around the corner of the hall to see if he was on his way. A pout crossed Kou’s face and he let out an exaggerated whine, “Awh, why weren’t you looking for me instead? You know, I’m much more interesting than Yuma-kun…” He flashed one of his modelesque smiles and Yui couldn’t help but roll her eyes at his antics.
“Sorry Kou, it’s just I haven’t seen him all day and I was kind of hoping to talk to him before bed.” She was picking her sleeve slightly more aggressively, taking out her frustration on the cuff of her sweater. The blonde narrowed his eyes with a frown, but decided not to push the matter. After all, he didn’t want to be on the receiving end of his brother’s rage for marking up his woman. “Hmm,” he leaned his head against the wall in thought before his eyes lit up in realization, “Oh! I saw him briefly after lunch and he didn’t look too happy… That’s right, M-neko, you must have really upset him!” he looked a touch too gleeful at that statement, a darkness lingering over his eyes as he watched her face grow with concern.
Yui’s eyebrows furrowed and she chewed the inside of her cheek in discomfort. She decided it would be best to busy herself in the kitchen after all, as she wouldn’t be able to sleep until Yuma came back home.
--
Akio had felt a presence following him for a good portion of the day, and it was making the hairs on the back of his neck stand to attention. As he walked the deserted path back toward his house he clutched his bag, readying himself for an ambush. As if on cue, Yuma took the chance to reveal himself by dashing out of his hiding place and pressing the other boy against a tree by the neck. The darker haired male winced at the sensation, but was sturdier than Yuma would have assumed given his frame. “Oy, I’m here to teach you a lesson about messing with someone else’s property,” Yuma’s voice was rough and filled with hatred and he buried his nails into the soft flesh of his victim.
The transfer student was unable to speak a retort back at the vampire due to his hand pressing into his windpipe. However, the taller male was quite obviously underestimating his ability to fight back even from this position. Akio curled his fingers toward his right wrist, unleashing a blade that he used to slash at the offending hand, falling down to one knee when the pressure was released suddenly and gathering his bearings as the oxygen flowed back into his burning lungs. Yuma jumped back, startled, clutching at the wound on his hand, staring in disbelief when it wasn’t immediately closing. “Heh? What the fuck is this!?”
“Is this how Ryoutei Academy’s students treat their new guests? I know we’re off campus but I’m sure they’d be very disappointed in you attacking a new student on their first day,” the sudden confidence in his voice was different than the way he had been conducting himself around Yui earlier. Yuma glared at the other man, shaking the spilled blood off of his hand and ripping off the bottom of his dress shirt to wrap the wound with. “Just who the hell do you think you are?” His eyes were nearly alight with the fury that was raging through him. He took on a fighting stance, sizing up his opponent differently this time, striking out quickly and swiping his fist against the side of Akio’s cheek as the other male dodged most of his attack. At the speed he was going, a human shouldn’t have been able to stand a chance, let alone nearly dodge a full frontal attack.
The taller male sniffed the air tentatively; he could have sworn he smelled human blood. But it was muddled. Now that he was focusing, he could tell there was definitely a trace of vampiric blood flowing through the other man’s veins. Unlike Yuma, who had once been human and then turned vampire, Akio had been born, a product of a human mother and a father who was a vampire. He was not as strong as a full-fledged vampire, but he did possess a similar skillset to Yuma, along with weak magical capabilities. It was enough to hold his own one-on-one with the enraged male.
“What is this property you’re going on about? Is it that girl?” Akio asked, taking on a protective quality in his voice. He wasn’t sure what the status of the relationship was between the two of them, but it was the only conclusion he could think of that would have gotten the vampire so riled up. It would seem he struck a nerve as Yuma spun around with a flying kick aimed right for his head. Akio ducked and grabbed Yuma’s steady leg from beneath him, rolling out of the way before the vampire could grab him down to the ground with him. The younger male leaned against a tree for support, having used a lot of his strength to drag Yuma down.
“Oy, oy, OY! Listen here you bastard,” Yuma picked himself up quickly, towering over Akio before he picked him up by the scruff of his shirt. “You’re really pissing me off.” He shoved him against the tree again, mindful of the hidden knife up the other man’s sleeve. “I ought to kill you right here,” he used his own head to crush into Akio’s disorienting the dhampir before throwing him to the ground and stomping his foot into his stomach. The darker haired man groaned in pain at the impact and scrambled to reach for his backpack, hands shakily ripping the bag open to throw the equivalent of a flash bomb at the vampire so he could make a quick retreat.
A scream of frustration ripped from Yuma’s throat as he realized that he had let him slip out of his sight and something about the device messed with his sense of smell temporarily. There was a ringing in his head and he clutched his hair with his good hand, kicking the dirt where Akio had been in irritation. He sighed, admitting defeat for the time being. The next time he saw the other male he would make sure to finish what he started. He made his way back toward home, figuring he could let out his frustration on the girl who he determined to be at fault for this entire situation.
--
In the kitchen, Yui had busied herself making a version of pavlova, a dessert made of sugar and egg whites with lemon curd she had prepared the day before and an arrangement of fresh fruits. The sound of the door slamming shut startled the young woman, but she wiped her hands on her apron, and tentatively peered her head out of the kitchen to see Yuma bee lining toward her. “Yuma, you’re home!” she offered, trying to sound cheery despite the nervousness that was settling over her body like a blanket. Yuma stopped when he was right in front of her, eyeing the dessert that she had been preparing.
“Is that for him too?” he spat, reaching over to smack the dessert off the counter but Yui jumped in front of his arm, “No!!” before she could tell him that she made it for him he pushed her to the ground and shoved the dessert and the delicate plate it was displayed on shattering to the ground beside her. Tears welled at her eyes and came spilling over, all her hard work was in a pile on the floor over a misunderstanding. “Yuma..” she opened her mouth to speak but he shoved her back against the kitchen floor, straddling her body as he ripped open the top of her shirt.
“Do I need to re-train your body to remember that you belong to me and only me??” his words rang out in the room, and he grabbed a piece of broken glass from the serving plate, still coated in the dessert she had made, and sliced into her collarbone. At first there was no pain at all, only a shocked sensation that racked her body, but then the air began to sting the cut and fresh tears welled in her eyes. Yuma didn’t give her time to speak yet again, forcing his tongue into the cut, widening it rather than soothing it, causing her to grunt and writhe beneath him. The pain was searing, but she felt as if her spirit was being sliced open. Her heart was bleeding for him and he didn’t even see it. That or he didn’t care.
Yuma moaned against the cut, tasting the sugary confection mixed with her blood. It was a shame he had scattered it across the floor, because it really did taste wonderful. For a moment, he let himself indulge in the sweetness of her, drinking her blood hungrily, his right hand throbbing from the cut he had received earlier. The thought of even a fraction of it being made with the other male in mind came sparking back to the surface and he tugged his fangs down, ripping open a wound on Yui’s pale chest.
Her blood flowed thickly, slowly blossoming across her chest and soaking her shirt. She sobbed out, her hands reaching out to hold onto Yuma’s arms. She noticed the makeshift bandage on his hand and turned her attention to him in concern, burying her own pain down. “What happened?” she asked softly, ghosting her fingers over the fabric that he wound tight around his hand. He lifted his head from her chest to glare down at her with concerning intensity.
“You’re an absolute fuckin’ idiot, you know that?” Yui attempted to look away as he insulted her, but he grabbed her chin firmly with his wounded hand, the coppery smell of both his blood and her own overwhelming her senses. “You were out there seducing a vampire hunter today weren’t you?” He smacked the side of her face, hard. She cried out in pain and could feel the sting heating up as the mark on her face turned a bright pink. He chuckled, bringing his hand down to strike her other cheek while the girl shuddered beneath him, eyes widening in confusion and terror.
“I was just helping him—“ he cut her off, raising his voice to a yell. “Just helping him my ass. I saw you share your lunch with him, saw the way the two of you blushed, or did you think you could whore yourself around the school without me taking notice? HUH?” He grabbed onto her sweater and shook her for emphasis, dropping her and letting her head knock against the ground. He sighed, looking at the mess in the kitchen and got off of her, kicking her in the side to encourage her to get up quickly. “Oy, clean this shit up. This is punishment for causing me trouble.”
Yui started to get to her feet but was pushed over again, eliciting a humorless chuckle from the man above her. “Did I say you could stand up? Crawl like the sow you are,” a shadow seemed to cast over his gaze and he crossed his arms, waiting for her to do as he asked. The girl trembled, her lip quivering, but she crawled on all fours, picking up the broken glass and scooping the ruined dessert into the trash with her hands. She reached for a towel but Yuma stopped her again, leaning over to lick the sugary mix off of her hands. A light blush crossed over her face as her body reacted to his touch. A smirk formed over Yuma’s lips as he pulled a finger into his mouth, swirling his tongue around the digit before biting down, mixing her blood with the taste of sugar once more.
He groaned, the overindulgent taste comforting a piece of him. He sucked a little more harshly and a squeak left Yui’s mouth, causing her to panic and scramble an apology before Yuma chuckled again. “It seems your body does know who it belongs to, hm?” He used his nails to rip the apron off of her body, signaling her to use that instead of a towel to clean the remainder of the mess. She did so and once completed with the task she folded the fabric and placed it in the hamper she had placed in the kitchen next to the trash. She was nervous to do anything to set Yuma off, so she waited to see if he was pleased enough to let her stand back up.
He grabbed something off the counter that she couldn’t quite see and beckoned her to stand. “Come on, up!” he patronized her as though he were talking to a pet. Once she stood before him, he placed a sour dried lemon into her mouth and closed her mouth around it, cupping his hand over her lips to keep it there. “Mmn!!” her mouth puckered instantly and she screwed her eyes shut. It was a particularly sour lemon and it was almost painful in the way it pulled the saliva to her mouth. “There, there. Keep it there, we’re not done. Not by a long shot…”
She was led back to his room, where the door was locked behind them as soon as they entered. Not that it mattered anyway, but it was more of a subtle warning. He stood her in the middle of the room, circling around her before stopping in front of her again, moving to rip off the remainder of her clothing, leaving her completely naked and vulnerable before him. He leaned forward to lap up the blood that was cooling on her skin from the wound he had made earlier. He dug his fingers into the cut, re-opening the slit enough to let fresh blood ooze over the old blood. He led her backward as he attached his lips to the wound, the bed shaking when they fell back onto it.
“Aaah, I can’t get used to it. Haah, you’re sweeter than sugar…I just want to drink, and drink, and drink until there’s nothing left,” he gasped, continuing his ministrations on her searing laceration. The pain had just started to dull before he dug his fingers in to re-open it, and the new wave of pain made Yui feel dizzy. Yuma moaned against her collarbone, the sensation vibrating against her chest. He reached up to smack her across the face when he noticed she was slipping and he pulled away from her tempting blood. He didn’t want her to lose consciousness quite yet. Not until he’d had his full of her. She chewed the lemon slice in her mouth, the sourness of it pulling her consciousness from its foggy haze before she finally swallowed it, freeing her mouth.
“I’ll remind you tonight that you belong to me,” he moved to stand next to the bed, grabbing her by the hair to drag onto the floor. “On your knees, sow.” He was still speaking coldly toward her, the pent up anger still coursing through his body. He undid his belt, but did not drop it, instead he left it bunched in his left hand, and he stared down at her submissive position. Another smirk crossed his lips as he undid his pants, pulling them down along with his boxers in one swift motion. He kicked out of the lower garment and gingerly pumped himself with his injured hand.
“I’ll give you a chance to say you’re sorry,” he breathed, guiding her mouth to his aching member. Her blood and crying face had gotten him excited. As she wrapped her lips around his member, he leant down to wrap the belt around her throat. “Go on, be a good girl, ok?” his words were a warning for her not to do anything to displease him, and he gave the belt a tug for good measure. The constriction around her throat was strange as she took his length into her mouth.
She bobbed her head along his cock, the tears on her face were dried to her cheeks and there were bits of blood smeared and caked across her chest and some patchy areas of her throat. Her saliva was thick from sucking on the lemon slice moments before, and she relaxed the back of her throat, taking him all the way to the base as best she could. The action of servicing the vampire was starting to excite Yui, and she felt a warm sensation starting to grow in her own body as Yuma bucked his hips against her mouth, using her body to pleasure himself.
He pulled her off of him, moving to sit on the edge of the bed. “I don’t think you’ve had enough punishment yet,” he murmured, guiding her to lie over his lap, her head draped down toward the floor with her ass nestled right over his knees. He took the belt into his right hand and folded it over before he brought it down on her smooth skin with a crack.
“Aah, Yuma!” Yui cried out in surprise. Although she had an inkling of what he was up to when he draped her over his knee. It was humiliating and she felt the heat rise to her cheeks. He struck down again, alternating the location of the strike to an uncovered area of flesh each time until her entire bottom felt raw and on fire. Little welts from where he let the buckle strike her flesh decorated her rear end and she knew that it was going to be uncomfortable to sit for a few days.
Yuma didn’t stop until another wave of tears fell from those pink eyes of hers. He soothed the irritated skin with his hand, massaging his hands into the fat of her ass. “That’s better, isn’t it? Know your place, and I’ll be gentle with you, hm?” his voice was softer than it had been earlier, but another part of him was hard and pressing against Yui’s lower belly in the position she was in.
He suddenly hoisted the young woman back onto the bed, settling her near the headboard. He removed his shirt before crawling over her body, already positioning himself to enter her. She was going to voice a protest but feared he may be rougher with her if she tried to dissuade him from going at his pace for now. She bit down on her lip as he rocked forward, stretching her insides around him. “This is still a punishment,” he breathed, watching her face contort in pain as he pushed into her slowly, not wanting to hurt her too badly but wanting her to feel discomfort.
Yui took in a shaky breath and nodded compliantly, a wave of pleasure shooting through her as she saw his face relax as the warmth of her pussy enveloped him. Even though he said it was a punishment, he was moving very slowly, and she felt a pang tug at her heartstrings. She lifted a leg cautiously, still adjusting to his thick length that was pulsating inside her with desire. She moaned softly at the spark of pleasure that jolted through her at the change in angle. Yuma let out a rumbling chuckle, “You’re already so wet…Oy, did you get excited from your punishment?”
He shifted and lifted her legs up, resting them against his shoulders as he watched his cock glide in and out of her wet heat. The sound of the two of them joining together was embarrassing, and Yui wanted to bury her face in her hands but she stayed put, a bright flush covering her face. Yuma’s strong hands were holding her legs in place and he was enjoying himself, watching the act of fucking her.
The erotic nature of the sight was exciting him further and he leaned forward, pressing her legs toward her chest as he took her arms and pinned them above her head with one hand. He pressed his weight against the hands beneath him and used his free hand to fondle her breast before he picked up the pace of his ravishing. Yui turned her head to the side, writhing beneath him and chanting his name like a prayer, over and over. It was as though she had forgotten all words aside from his name. Aside from Yuma. “Yeah? Does it feel good? Yuma, it’s Yuma who makes you feel like this, hm?” he moaned breathily, watching her with a lecherous gaze, “I’ll make sure your body never forgets just who you belong to. You’re going to give everything to me, do you understand?”
He latched onto her neck again, sinking his fangs into her flesh once more as he started to pound her into the mattress. If any of his brothers were awake they could most likely hear the banging of his bed against the wall and Yui’s cries as he took her. He didn’t care, and in fact, it only made him want to do it rougher. He leaned back once more, digging his nails into her hips and lifting her onto his cock, angling himself deep inside of her. Yui’s hands scrambled to grab onto the wall above her head as she pressed the back of her head into the mattress, arching up into the man above her. As soon as she felt his seed shoot inside of her, searing her insides, she climaxed around him. The overall sensation driving her over the edge with him.
Yuma caught his breath, and leaned back down to latch onto her neck once again. “Yuma! I’m gonna pass out,” Yui protested weakly, her vision already becoming hazy around the edges after her orgasm had ripped through her body. She was already anemic due to his never-ending thirst and she wasn’t sure if she could handle much more.
“Then pass out,” he murmured against her throat, gulping more of her down. He paused, looking down at her with serious eyes, “You’re not going anywhere tomorrow anyway. You’re not leaving this house again.” Those were the last words she heard before the world became muddy and thick like molasses. Her body became limp in his arms as he slowly finished drinking from her, rolling over to lie beside her. His body felt surprisingly sore after fighting with Akio and he wondered if it had to do with the blade that he used. It was something he would have to figure out later, however, one thought remained as the tendrils of sleep began to pull him to sleep: I’m going to kill him.

Gamer Girl pt 2!
part 1; part 2; part 3; part 4
AO3 link
Part 2 and 3 were meant to be one chapter and it wasn’t supposed to get this long but here we are!
Story:
When Marinette walked into the Bakery so soon after having left for school, Sabine knew something was wrong. For one thing, Marinette tried not to miss school if she didn't have to, the last time she had gone to school only to come back home was a particularly bad day when Marinette was nine. For another, Marinette didn't even bother to greet her simply walking past her and up the stairs without a word.
“Marinette?” Sabine called tentatively after her daughter. “Maman, with all due respect I need to calm down right now before I speak to anyone.” Came the terse reply from her daughter's retreating form. “I'm going to see if I can go into full dive and join Kirito and the others for a while. When I'm calm I'll tell you what happened.” Sabine exchanged a look with Nadja, who had just walked in and shrugged. If Marinette asked for time to calm down first, it had to be something bad but both women knew there was nothing they could do until Marinette was ready to talk. * * * * * * * Marinette waited for Tikki to climb out of her bag before she tossed it onto the chaise with her backpack joining it shortly after. She had just taken her jacket off when a voice echoed in her mind. “Lady Morning, I am-” “Yeah, I know who you are Hawkmoth and the answer is no. I am in no mood to deal with you or anyone else except those who truly would understand how I'm feeling right now. If you try to akumatize anyone else since I'm saying no, then I will track you down and I will make you feel all the pain I'm feeling right now.” Marinette growled at the villain. “Just for future reference, Ladybug will be told who you are because I've recognised your voice Gabriel Agreste! So leave me alone or it won't be Ladybug you have to worry about!” Tikki watched from her vantage point as Marinette fought off the Akuma that had flown into her jacket and listened in growing horrified pride as Marinette stood up not to Hawkmoth but to the person she had once looked up to. She hadn't known about the connection between Hawkmoth and Gabriel and under normal circumstances, Marinette wouldn't have been recognised his voice either. It seemed her anger was so potent at that moment that it burned away the magic that normally hid that sort of detail. Tikki watched as the dark purple butterfly escaped from the jacket Marinette was holding and quickly swooped down and purified it. She looked at Marinette's face but seeing the tears making their way down Marinette's cheeks, she decided to simply eat the offered cookie and return to her nest to watch over her chosen. Marinette, now free to feel, let herself cry for a bit before checking with Yui to see if her group was online and quickly joining them. * * * * * * * * * * * * When Marinette had stormed out of the classroom, the class had taken a moment to process what had just happened before turning to Max and Markov for clarification about what Marinette had said. It took him a moment to find the information but when he did his face paled and he ran for the rubbish bin and threw up. “Max?” Mlle Bustier asked softly. Max was quiet as he processed what he had just read further then he turned and faced the class. “We messed up. Big time. When Marinette said that people died from the game, she wasn't lying. That 'game' was called Sword Art Online or SAO to most people. Anyway, on the day it launched 10 000 people logged on only to find they couldn't log out. To people not logged on it looked like the people who were, were simply in a coma. It wasn't until after everyone had logged on that a message was released saying that if the people that had logged on wanted to survive, they had to clear the game. If they died in-game, they died for real because the headset, or NerveGear as it was called, they used would fry their brains.” Max closed his eyes and fought the urge to vomit again, his face was still ashen when he opened his eyes and looked at the class. “If the family members of someone who had logged in tried to remove the NerveGear, it would kill the person in full dive anyway. 3,853. That's how many people died in the game or through people trying to remove the players NerveGear. Over half of that was in the first month!” Max sank to the floor as his legs gave out from shock. “I can't believe Marinette was one of the ones that survived. From the video, we can guess that she was really strong but the other players we saw must have been strong too...” His voice trailed off as he thought about what his classmate must have gone through. Several members of the class nodded in agreement with his words. Suddenly Chloe spoke up. “Wait how long were they stuck in the game?” “I don't see how that's relevant Chloe but to answer your question two years two days one hour and fifty-five minutes. The extra day comes from the fact that 2024 was a leap year.” Max said softly. Chloe closed her eyes as though she was in pain. “Fuck! How did she not lose her temper with me?! I've bullied her for how long now about being clumsy but after that long in a coma, of course, she is going to be clumsy!” The class stared at Chloe in shock and even Mlle Bustier didn't say anything. Alya had her eyes on her phone and her hand was flying over a page she had next to her as she went over all the information she could find about SAO, presumably for a new story for her blog so she missed Chloe's statement completely. “She's stronger than the rest of us that's for sure,” Adrien's voice was soft but seemed to echo around the silent room. “What do you mean Adrian?” Chloe asked for once using his name instead of one of her twisted nicknames for him. “Think about it. Not only did she survive SAO but she is one of the few people who has never been Akumatised. Even with everything Lila and this class has done to her she has avoided Hawkmoth's notice. As we are yet to get an alarm saying there is an Akuma on the loose now, I think it's safe to say that she hasn't been Akumatised today either. Any of us would have been a prime target in Marinette's state but there's nothing so far.” Adrien's voice was still soft as he explained his logic and he was surprised when he saw a number of his classmates' nod in agreement with what he was saying. He was about to say more when there was a knock on the door and a smartly dressed man walked into the room. “Pardon the intrusion so early in the morning, I am Jean-François Thévenet. I'm one of the members of the school board. We were in the principal's office for our annual meeting when we all received a rather interesting email. Due to the nature of the contents of this email, we have decided that a formal investigation has to be launched.” The man paused as he took in the various looks of surprise and disbelief on each of the class members faces. His brown eyes cataloguing everything he was seeing with an impassive expression. “The results of this investigation will be determined by the findings. Now, each of your parents have been call and as such we have obtained permission to interview you all. Some parents have requested that an adult other than ourselves be in the room and we have agreed so long as they don't interfere with the investigation. To be clear, we have a very good record of what has been happening in this class for the past six months, all we want is the clarification of why it has happened and why it wasn't brought to our attention before now. Interviews will be done in a random order, so will Rose Lavillant follow me.” He didn't give anyone a chance to react, turning on his heel and walking out of the room with Rose scrambling to catch up to him. Whispers broke out as soon as the two were out of the classes eyesight as Caline Bustier stood in shock. An investigation? Six months? What was going on? As far as she knew, that morning was the first time anything untoward had happened in her classroom. Eventually, she managed to shake her thought clear and start the much-delayed lesson on the french revolution. * * * * * * * * * * * * When Yui had sent him a message to let him know that Suiren (Waterlily aka Marinette) would be joining him online shortly, Kirito had been confused. She was in Paris which meant that if he had the time conversion correct, she should be in school at that moment. His confusion Vanished the moment he saw her. “Suiren! Are you alright? Silly question, never mind.” Without giving her a chance to reply he pulled her into his arms. “I'm here, let it out,” he murmured to which the only reaction was her burying her face into his avatars chest and bursting into tears. They stayed like that even as the rest of the group arrived thanks to Yui calling them. Kirito slowly ran his hand up and down her back in comfort even as he looked at his friends in confusion. It was at the moment that Suiren murmured something that had Yui nodding. “Sui-chan said I could show you what has her so upset and why she isn't at school. I'm just glad that I copied myself to her phone!” Without further ado, a large screen appeared hovering in mid-air that showed Suiren as he everyday self walking into her class. It showed her teachers actions and Marinette's reactions. It skipped over playing the video of that fateful battle though, for which Suiren was grateful. She didn't think any of the people present needed to see that video. Instead, it skipped to Marinette telling her teacher off and carried on from there giving those present a view of what was carrying on in her class at that moment. Suiren turned to Yui. “How are you doing that?” “I tapped into the camera's you had the school install in every classroom after that Lila girl almost got you expelled.” Yui chirped happily. Suiren was quiet for a moment. “What are you thinking, Suiren?” Kirito asked her quietly. “That I'm honestly sick of Paris. I understand that it is where my parents are but I am the only person
at my school that went through SAO and I'm beginning to feel completely alone. I was never one to enjoy being the centre of attention and I feel like if the people I thought were my friends were truly my friends, they wouldn't have been swayed by Lila.” Suiren's voice was soft as she spoke, almost as though she was trying to work through an idea as she spoke. “I think I'm going to talk to my parents about the possibility of me moving to Japan and joining the school they set up for SAO survivors in order to make sure I'm at the right level educationally. I can always attend the Tokyo branch of ESMOD and most of the people I design for live in Japan anyway. Those that don't live in Japan, travel to it now and then for work much as they do to Paris so it's not like that's an issue.” “Want me to talk to Kikuoka to see if he can pull some strings? He owes me a couple of favours anyway...” Kirito offered, and after a pause, Suiren nodded. “I think that might be best. This is the last week of the current school term so I'll stay in Paris for another month and get everything sorted out that needs to be sorted out. I'll also need to talk to my parents. Yui if you could send what you've found to my home computer that would be a great help in convincing them to let me go!” With that plan settled the group moved to an area where they could do some mat collection for both Liz and Suiren as they had been talking about upgrading their gear for them. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The investigation that was going on at Collège Françoise Dupont had been slightly brutal in Marinette's opinion, even if it had had to be that way in order to get the full truth to be revealed. M. Damocles had tried to protest against the investigation and the board had eventually had to threaten to suspend him before he had reluctantly stepped aside and let them have access to everything that they needed. The interviews with her class as well as some of the other classes had gone about as well as the board had expected though and they hadn't been impressed by their findings. They were, even more, displeased when they had finally managed to contact Lila's mother. When the board had first tried to contact Mrs Signora Rossi they had been puzzled as to why her phone kept going to voice mail. As Alya was Lila's friend they asked if she had Signora Rossi's number on the off chance. She didn't but she willing handed Lila's number over to the board and when they compared it to the number they had for Signora Rossi they found that the two numbers were the same. So the board did the next best thing since Lila had said her mother was a diplomat for the Italian Embassy, they phoned them and asked to speak to her. Once again that failed to bring the desired result as there was no Signora Rossi registered as working for the Italian Embassy as a diplomat or otherwise. It took them two days but they eventually found her working long hours as a waitress in an out of the way restaurant. She had been shocked when she had been asked about everything that Lila had said or done as well as Lila's frequent 'trips' and 'illnesses'. It was only through sheer luck that Mr Pigeon had struck at that moment instead of her being akumatised. She had been absolutely devastated to find out that while she was working two jobs to give her daughter a better life than her own, that same daughter was lying through her teeth as though she was ashamed of her. Once that had been discovered, the board had taken a closer look at all the documents that Lila had given the school. These ranged from various doctors notes to letters that had supposedly come from her mother regarding her trips abroad. Once they had been check thoroughly they had set to work on trying to get hold of Lila who had proved to be most slippery. In the end, the board had simply handed her file over to the truancy office and made sure that she would be held back a grade due to all her absences and the sheer amount of work that Lila had had her classmates do for her. In the end, Lila's mother opted to move Lila to a different school where she gave the teacher very strict instructions on what to look out for with her daughter. As for the rest of Marinette's class? Well, they had found that life wasn't as easy as they remembered it being before Marinette had finally decided she had had enough. It seemed like all the little things were missing and for the first time, they started to realise how much her smile had brightened the day for many of them.

The Boy-Who-Dreamed, a Harry Potter x Go! Princess Precure Fanfiction
Prologue
(originally posted on my fanfiction.net and wattpad pages @SakuraPages. I’m posting all of the chapters here before i resume writing them, so let me know what you all think! let’s begin the story!)
Towa sat facing the window of her immaculate room in the Hope Kingdom Palace, the beautiful melody of her violin filling the silence within it. Her two fairy companions, Pafu and Aroma, sat silently on her bed, nodding off to sleep and enjoying the lovely tune. Miss Shamour, her advisor and best friend, sat next to the other two fairies in human form. Towa stopped at once when she heard a knock at the door, but did not bother to direct her gaze towards it. She couldn’t keep her eyes off of that window.
“Come in,” she said quietly.
“You have been playing that song everyday since they left, my dear little sister. Do you not think that perhaps we should move on?” Kanata questioned as he made his way over to Towa’s nightstand, glancing at the three Dress Up Keys and her Princess Perfume sitting atop it.
They were gleaming brilliantly in the sunlight, waiting for a chance to be awakened once again. “It’s really been a year since they left, hasn’t it?”
“It has, my brother. Even still, it feels nice to reminisce on the fun times we had with them.” Towa closed her eyes, remembering the day she was reverted from Twilight to Towa.
She had been so lost, sad and confused then. But somehow, Haruka, Minami, Kirara and Yui slowly showed her how to smile again. And then, the next monumental moment came; the day she became a Precure. Her dream of becoming a Grand Princess was finally in reach, and then, she actually became one. Her wildest, grandest dreams had finally come true, and she owed it all to them. How in the world was she to simply just move on? She decided to try and take her mind off of it, raising her violin to her chin once again when...
CRASH!!
Her window had been burst open and dark, hooded figures flooded the bedroom.
“Yes, YES!!” A deep, wretched voice pierced the ears of the Royal Siblings and their fairies.
“The most powerful magical objects in the universe will soon be MINE! A great thanks to you, Close, my dear friend, for these Dress Up Keys you speak of shall bring us eternal power!”
“Yes, yes, Voldemort. Soon, we shall rule over Hope Kingdom and all of the earth!!” Close cackled, making Towa sick to her stomach.
The eyes of the young princess widened. “Close? He’s back? Who’s that man he’s with Who is Voldemort?”
Towa let out a scream as a piece of the wall flew overhead. Kanata summoned his Royal Staff and conjured up a shield, gritting his teeth as he attempted to hold off the many unknown spells being fired at them.
The young princess quickly scooped Pafu into her arms as Aroma perch on her shoulder, both of whom were now very much awake after the sudden loud noises. Miss Shamour summoned her staff, preparing to defend the princess at all costs.
Towa shoved her Dress Up Keys and her Princess Perfume into her pocket. They began shining for the first time in a year, almost serving as a beacon for the hooded figures.
“There! That girl! She has some of the Dress Up Keys! GET HER!” the mysterious voice screeched while pointing a willowy finger straight at her.
“Kanata! What do we do?” Towa yelled over all of the chaos. The hooded figures were making quick work of Kanata’s shield by way of some unidentifiable spells of various colors; it wouldn’t be long before the barrier fell.
Miss Shamour began firing back at some of the cloaked henchmen, and the spells seemed to hit their targets. Still, it seemed that the remaining henchmen only fired back harder. As she fought, she realized that the name Voldemort seemed...familiar.
“I didn’t think I’d be caught up in this predicament again,” she thought. “It seems that I’ll have to make a visit to an old friend.”
“Towa, listen to me! I need you to scatter the Dress Up Keys and make your way back to Earth. Find Haruka and the others. We need them!” Kanata shouted, his heel sliding back as he attempted to fortify the shield.
Towa’s eyes were beginning to get clouded by tears, and, though she couldn’t see it, Kanata’s eyes were doing the same.
“Brother, I can’t just leave you here! You won’t make it!” She pleaded with him, knowing he would make her do.
“I’ll be okay, but make sure to get the Dress Up Keys and yourself to safety. Make sure to watch over Pafu and Aroma as well. They’ll need you now more than ever. Miss Shamour, you are to accompany and guide her. Now, go!”
“But Kana-”
“There’s no time to argue, Towa! GO!!”
Towa fought back her tears as she burst through her bedroom door and rushed down the corridor, desperate to make it to the other Dress Up Keys. As she looked around, it seemed that the rest of the castle had fallen into chaos as well; Close and his partner’s henchmen had wrecked most of her beloved home. More henchmen seizing the castle spotted Towa and the fairies, and they immediately began firing at them from all directions. Miss Shamour quickly summoned a barrier and beckoned the group to keep running. She turned her head around and quickly noticed that Close and Voldemort’s henchman had made it past Kanata and were now coming for them. Towa had turned around and noticed them too.
“KANATA!! Don’t worry, I’ll come back for you! Please just be okay!” she thought to herself as she picked up her pace. Pafu had begun to cry and Aroma wasn’t too far away from crying as well.
They finally made it to the sanctuary of the Dress Up Keys with just barely enough time to close and lock the door. Towa put a hand to her heart, tears streaming down her face as she voiced her plea to the magical artifacts.
“Dress Up Keys, hear my prayer! Scatter from this place; you are not safe here!”
All twelve of the Dress Up Keys immediately to glow as the room began to shake. Each Key sent out a ray of pure energy which collided with one another at the center of the room. The result was a portal which led to a place all too familiar: Noble Academy.
“Everyone, come quickly, before they make their way in here!” Miss Shamour shouted.
Towa and her fairy companions sprinted through the portal just as Close and his comrade’s henchmen busted down the door.
The Dress Up Keys were quickly sucked into the portal, following Towa and the fairies to Earth before immediately closing off the portal.
“Kanata, please be okay…” A single tear streamed down her cheek as Noble Academy came closer into view.
“Dammit, she got away!” one of the henchmen yelled as he stomped his foot to the ground. “The Dark Lord and Close will not be happy about this!”
"Don't worry," said Close, as he and the Dark Lord, known as Voldemort, strolled into the room. “I know just where to find her. There's only one place that brat would go," he sneered as he opened a portal to Earth.
“Voldemort, take your Death Eaters back continue to lay siege on the palace. I’ll take care of this. It’s...personal,” Close said as an evil sneer painted his face.
Voldemort returned the expression and nodded. “Very well. You know where to find us. Take care of it.” He and his minions and exited the sanctuary, continuing to terrorize the palace and the whole of Hope Kingdom.
Little did Towa know that somewhere far, far away, a small teenage boy with emerald green eyes and a lightning-bolt scar had just seen the same events, and he was left alone, gazing upon the glowing moon from his bed and wondering what it could’ve all meant. “Who was that princess?” he wondered. “And, more importantly,
what does Voldemort want with her?”

Diabolik Lovers LUNATIC PARADE ;; Shuu Route ー Chapter 4
Monologue
Afterwardsーー
We were genuinely gifted,
many props to decorate the party venue,
by Aji-san,
who had been deeply moved by the Ghost Flower.
We were also able to get information from the gondolier
on how to set up the gondola
to resemble the way it looked when Riegel-san and his wife met,
in an attempt to please him,
as much as possible.
And then...
ー The scene starts at the Rubin Canal
Yui: ( Phew...I guess we’re about halfway done with the decorations. )
Shuu-san, what do you think...?
Shuu: Looks fine to me. Not bad.
ー The gondolier runs up to them
Gondolier B: Ooh, what a surprise! These decorations are identical to those from the past. For a second, I thought I had gone back in time...
ーー Oh. Whoops, silly me.
The owner of the sweets shop came to the docks. He’s looking for you two.
Yui: Yes!
ー The scene shifts to the docks
Sweets shop owner: ーー Aah! There you are!
Yui: Good evening.
Sweets shop owner: Save those formalities for later! More importantly, take a look at this!
Here’s your order.
*Thud*
Yui: Waah! Looks delicious...!
Sweets shop owner: I think it turned out excellent, if I may say so myself. Will this do?
Yui: Of course! Thank you so much!
Sweets shop owner: Aah, I’m glad!
I should probably head back to my shop then.
Aah, so busy, so busy!
ー The sweets shop owner leaves
Shuu: ...His lack of composure is a huge flaw, but I can’t deny his skill.
Yui: ( I’m sure Riegel-san will be pleased with this as well, right? )
ーー Well then, we should probably make a quick stop at the hotel then. We have to get ready as well.
ー The scene shifts to the main street
Yui: ( Okay, everything is going smoothly so far...! )
( Ah...But there’s one more thing to do before we return to the hotel... )
Shuu-san. Is there a shop where we could borrow some clothes around here?
It’s a party, so I figured I should probably prepare a dress.
Shuu: ...Hmm.
This way then.
*TIMESKIP*
ー The scene shifts to the hotel room
Yui: ( I guess most of the preparations are done... )
Shuu: The Familiars will arrange a picture of Riegel-san’s wife to put inside the pendant.
They should bring it to us before the party starts.
Yui: Thank you very much.
I guess we should start getting ready too then.
You can go ahead and take a bath first. I’ll go through the list one more time to confirm we’ve got everything.
Shuu: Nn...
ー Shuu leaves for the bathroom
Yui: ( Okay... )
*TIMESKIP*
Yui: ( ...Yeah. There’s nothing we overlooked. )
( Now we just have to wait for the party to start. )
( I hope Riegel-san will like it... )
*Flap flap flap*
Yui: Ah...
( It’s one of Shuu-san’s Familiars. They’re holding the photograph... )
*Flap flap flap*
Yui: Thanks!
*Flip*
Yui: ( So this is Riegel-san’s wife. What a beautiful person with such a lovely smile. )
( That’s a younger Riegel-san standing next to her, right? )
( The two of them really did look happy together. )
( That’s why...I feel sad thinking about how much emotional pain Riegel-san has to go through right now... )
( We have to make this party a success at all costs! )
ー Shuu enters the room
Shuu: Hm...Oh? The Familiar’s back already?
Yui: Yes. They brought this pictuーー
Wah!?
S-Shuu-san, your clothes...
Shuu: I just got out of the bath so what did you expect?
Yui: A-Anyway, hurry up and put something on!
Shuu: Good grief, what are you so flustered about still...?
ー Shuu walks towards the wardrobe
Yui: ( That shocked me...! )
*TIMESKIP*
Yui: This is Riegel-san’s wife.
Shuu: Hm...
Yui: I...Seeing them standing next to each other, I thought to myself once more.
I want to make this party a success. I want to lessen his pain even just a little...
I want to do anything within my power.
Shuu: ...Anything, huh?
But haven’t you forgotten how we ended up in this situation in the first place?
It’s not like we were trying to help Riegel from the very beginning.
We approached him in hopes of getting information on the Count and find a way to retrieve your heart.
Yui: That’s...true but...
Even so, I can’t just leave him in the cold...!
Shuu: ...Why not?
ー He steps closer
Yui: ( Shuu-san...? )
Shuu: You’re awfully persistent about helping him out.
Did you fall for him or something?
Yui: ...!? T-That’s not it!
Shuu: I wonder? Then who is it you like?
Yui: W-Well...
ーー You, Shuu-san. You’re the only one I love.
Shuu: Heeh...
Yui: ( Uu, this is kind of embarrassing... )
A-And you...? Who do you like?
Shuu: Go ahead and think about that question a bit. If Iーー
*Thud*
Shuu: Pin you down on the bed like this, I guess the answer should become a little clear?
ーー Nn.
*Smooch*
Yui: Ah...!
Shuu: Once the party starts, you’ll take on the appearance of Riegel’s wife for a while, right?
So keep still and let me have my fun nowーー
Yui: ( ...Shuu-san... )
Monologue
And then,
it was finally time for the party to start.
Together with Shuu-san,
the two of us once again,
headed towards the candy house where Riegel-san lives.
Before knocking on the door,
I put the picture of Riegel-san’s wife,
inside the pendant hanging from my neck.
And voila ーー
Yui: ( ...This feels kind of odd. Like I’m no longer myself. )
Um...How do I look?
Shuu: On the outside, you’re a split image of the woman in the picture. But...
Yui: ( ...? I wonder what’s wrong? )
Shuu: Your little quirks when you’re lost in thought are still the same as usual. You haven’t changed on the inside.
Well then, guess we should get going soon.
Yui: Y-Yes!
*TIMESKIP*
ー The scene shifts to the candy house
Shuu: Riegel should be even more wary now of potential humans trying to visit him.
So it’d probably be best if I greet him first.
Yui: I’m counting on you.
Shuu: Yeah...
*Knock knock*
Shuu: Riegel. It’s me.
*Knock knock*
Shuu: I’ve decided to hold a party for you today.
Riegel: ...A party?
Shuu: Yeah, exactly. A party.
Riegel: I’m not taking part in such a thing. Just do as you please without me.
Shuu: ...I don’t mind either way, really.
But there’s a little guest for you.
I’m sure it’s someone you’d kill forーー
*Thud*
Riegel: Aah! Could it be!?
Yui: ( Riegel-san... )
*Rustle*
Yui: ( Wah! H-He embraced me... )
Riegel: Marian! Aah, Marian!!
Shuu: ...
Yui: ( Shuu-san walked away... )
Riegel: I missed you...! I’ve wanted to see you again so badly, Marian! This whole time, ever since that day...
Yui: W-Wait. I’mーー
Riegel: You finally returned to my side, didn’t you? Aah, I’m so glad...
Yui: ( He totally thinks...I’m his actual wife, doesn’t he? )
ー The scene fades to black
Yui: ( But I’m not. )
( ...Shuu-san knew this would happen, hence why he was so reluctant to using the pendant... )
( Yet, I... )
...Ugh.
ー The scene shifts to the Rubin Canal
Shuu: ...
Yui: ( Shuu-san’s napping in the corner, huh...? )
Riegel: ...Aah...Well if it isn’t the place where we first met!
If I recall correctly...I fell for you at first sight.
Meanwhile you were rather frightened of me at first.
However...After our feelings became mutual, you let me in on your secret, didn’t you?
That back then, it was love at first sight for you as well.
You remember, don’t you? There’s no way you could ever forget.
Yui: ...
Riegel: Fufu...Aah, anyway, this food is amazing.
This cake in particular...It’s delicious.
You should give it a try as well.
Yui: Eh? Sure...
( What should I do? I have to tell him the truth... )
Riegel: What’s wrong? Do you feel sick?
Yui: No...It’s...
There’s something I have to tell you.
I’m sorry. I...I’m not the real Marian.
Riegel: ...
Yui: This pendant around my neck holds a mysterious power, and that’s how...
Riegel: ...
Yui: I’m sorry...
Shuu: ...Good grief...
ー Shuu walks up to them
Yui: ( Shuu-san... )
Riegel: ...
...I don’t mind.
Yui: Eh?
Riegel: I don’t sweat the details.
I knew from the very start. That you were just a fake.
The dead won’t come back to life. I know that much.
...That’s exactly why.
Because I know that death is permanent...
I want to at least...Hold onto you while you look just like my wife.
Forever!
ー Riegel grabs hold of Yui
Yui: Kyaah!
Shuu: Wha...!?
ー The scene shifts to Aizen Alley
Riegel: Haah, haah, haah...!
Yui: R-Riegel-san! Please, let go of my hand...
Riegel: No! If I do that, you’ll leave me! I’m sick and tired of being all alone...!
Yui: ( What on earth should Iーー )
*Woosh*
Yui: Ah...!
( I-I can’t breathe...!? )
*Woosh*
Riegel: O-Oi! What’s wrong!?
*Woosh*
Yui: ( My heart...The Kleinod...It’s at its limit already... )
Shuu: Oi!
ー Shuu runs up to them
Yui: ( Shuu-san... )
Shuu: ...Finally found you. Enough of this vain struggle.
Let go of her.
Riegel: I won’t. I’m not letting go of Marian!
Shuu: Then I’ll force you. She’s mine.
Besides...Her heart won’t last much longer.
I don’t have the time to play along with your elopement act right now.
You know better than anyone how much it hurts to lose the woman you love, don’t you!?
Riegel: ...
Iーー
*Woosh*
Yui: Aah...!
Shuu: Yui!
Riegel: ...Ugh!
Yui: ( I...can’t...no more... )
Monologue
As my eyelids gradually grow heavier,
my body somehow becomes light.
It feels as if I am floating mid-air
Seeping through the darkness,
a light shines upon me.
Somebody is standing at the other side.
I can’t see their face because of the reflection,
but the person I treasure more than anyone,
is holding out their hand towards me.
I want toーー grab hold of it.
I can’t stand being separated,
not even for a single second.
While writhing around in the darkness,
I continued to extend my hand straight forward.
And then...
ー Yui wakes up inside of Riegel’s house
Yui: ( ...Where am I...? )
Shuu: You’re awake...?
Yui: Shuu-san...
Shuu: ...Don’t make me worry too much.
Yui: I’m sorry...
Um...What happened to me afterwards...?
Shuu: Youーー
ー A flashback ensues
Shuu: Hang in there!
Yui: ...
Shuu: Oi, Riegel.
Riegel: W-What...What should I do...!?
Shuu: Riegel! Calm down.
Can you tell me everything you know about this Count?
I’m begging you.
Riegel: Shuu...
...I’m sorry...It’s true that the two of us were close in the past.
But I’m afraid I don’t know much more than that his manor’s security is impregnable.
He would never talk about himself after all...
Shuu: ...Ugh.
Riegel: I’m sorry...I truly am...
Shuu: ...Fuck...I...
Yui: ...Uu...
Shuu: ...!
It’s too early to give up just yet. The Kleinod is still moving!
ー The flashback ends
Shuu: ーー Then we carried you here afterwards. Your condition gradually became more stable after all.
Yui: So that happened...
*Thud*
Riegel: ...
Yui: Riegel-san...
Riegel: ...My bad.
This happened because I lost sight of myself...
Yui: No. It’s my fault. I’m sorry.
Riegel: Oh no...I felt so happy I was able to see Marian again, even for just a split second. From the bottom of my heart...
That’s why I didn’t want to let go of her.
But...Then I realized that was wrong of me.
Because Marian would never approve of hurting someone else like that.
I’m sure she’s scolding me right now in the afterlife.
Besides...
Even if she’s not next to me, she remains within my heart forever. I finally realized that.
Yui: Riegel-san...
Riegel: I’ll help you two out to retrieve your heart.
???: That won’t be necessary.
Shuu: ...!?
Yui: This voice...It can’t be...
Riegel: Walter!
Count Walter: Hello there! It has been a while, hasn’t it? Riegel. And...You as well, young lady.
Yui: Y-You’re...Count Walter!?
Count Walter: The one and only.
Shuu: ...So? Now this is quite the nifty show you’ve put together, approaching us yourself like this.
Not that I care. I guess this saves us a lot of trouble.
I’ll make sure you return her heart at once.
Count Walter: ーー Of course. That is what I came here for after all.
Yui: W-What do you mean?
Count Walter: Fufufu...
ーー You see. I have been watching you to observe your behavior after you lost your heart.
To test whether or not you two are fit to hold onto one of the treasures of this world...That is.
Yui: ( I-I see... )
Count Walter: And the answer became clear just now.
You chose not to abandon this man who had been stricken with grief, but instead tried to bring the light back in his life.
Wonderful!
Thereforeーー
*Ba-dump*
Yui: Ah...!?
*Ba-dump ・ ba-dump*
Shuu: Yui!
Yui: Shuu...san...
( ...Huh...? )
( My body feels light. And warm...? )
Shuu: Are you okay!? Hang in there!
Yui: Ah...I-I’m fine.
If anything...It seems like I’ve got my heart back!
Shuu: ....What on earth...?
Walter: Fufu...
Well then. I will excuse myself now.
ーー Thank you for the great show.
ー The Count disappears
Monologue
Leaving said words behind,
Count Walter vanished into thin air.
Looking off to the side,
I locked eyes with Shuu-san,
as we somehow both forced a smile.
As for Riegel-san,
he seemed to have completely,
regained his sanity.
After he told us that the least we could do,
was enjoy the remainder of the Parade,
Shuu-san and I,
left the candy house behind us.
ー The scene shifts to Saint Nore Park’s venue
Yui: ( Seems like the Parade hasn’t ended yet! )
( A bunch of things happened, but I’m glad we made it in time... )
Shuu: ...
Yui: ( ...Oh. Maybe I’m the only one getting excited now. I’m sure Shuu-san must be exhausted. )
Um...
Shuu: Nn?
Yui: We’ve been running all over the place, so shall we call it a day and head home?
We can always come to the Parade next yeーー
Yui: ...?
Shuu: Let’s go.
Yui: Eh...?
Shuu: Let’s go to the Parade.
Yui: Are you sure...?
Shuu: What are you saying when you’ve got ‘I want to go!’ written all over your face?
Yui: T-That’s...I would like to go, but...
I’m sure you’re tired, so I want you to be able to get some rest soon...
Shuu: ...Well, I’m pretty much always lacking energy.
I don’t mind making an effort at a time like this.
Yui: ...
Shuu: ...What?
Selection
→ Nothing
Yui: Nothing. Fufu...
Shuu: Look at you talk when you’ve got that grin on your face. Heh...
Yui: ( I’m just so happy, I can’t help it... )
→ Thank him with a kiss (☾)
Yui: Um...Shuu-san?
Shuu: Yeーー
*Smooch*
Shuu: Wha...!?
Yui: You know...To show my gratitude.
( I did it on the spur of the moment, but I’m kind of embarrassed now... )
Shuu: You...Honestly...
Nn...
*Smooch*
Yui: ( ...! This time he kissed me... )
Shuu: ーー Come on. Let’s go to the Parade before I change my mind.
ー Shuu walks away
Yui: Ah, w-wait!
( I’m happy he’s so kind to me... )

This is the 3rd chapter (including the prologue). I really love writing this story, there are currently 6 chapters out on AO3, so if you’d like to read past this chapter that’s where you can do it! Enjoy!
It had been just shy of two months since that night at Kuroo and Kenma’s wedding and you hadn’t spoken to Kei since. You’d figured at some point, one of you would pluck up the courage to text the other something small just to try and mend the wound that had been torn between you but neither of you did. You threw yourself into your work, staying up until sunrise almost every night painting, drinking and listening to some of Kei’s old CD’s from high school as loudly as you could just to drown out the sounds of your own conscience. After about a week of being off the grid. Bokuto and Akaashi had shown up at your studio, “because they were in the neighbourhood” they claimed, but considering the two lived almost an hour out of the city you doubted that was true. They’d sat with you awhile, asked you how you were doing but you could barely form a single sentence before the lump in your throat rose again and tears formed in your eyes. They left after a few cups of coffee and nothing really put to rest in your mind. A few days later Kuroo and Kenma had let themselves in and were sitting on the couch in your studio when you came back from getting more supplies. You were almost positive that Bokuto and Akaashi had let on that you were not doing as well as they might have hoped and the two had come rushing over after their honeymoon to comfort you.
“I’m fine Tetsurõ really” you weren’t but by this point, you’d gotten pretty good at lying about it. You continued to work on your current painting, while the two sat behind you trying to engage you about what had happened that night.
“I presume Bo and Akaashi have already filled you in on my breakdown,” you said holding out a palette knife covered in bright blue paint.
“They may have mentioned something about you being upset,” Kuroo said looking down at the ground, you looked at Kenma who had his legs over his new husband and was tapping away on his phone.
“They told us everything,” Kenma said without looking up.
“Ah hah!” you cried, some of the blue from your knife splattering on the already paint-covered floor. Kuroo sighed and rubbed a hand over his face.
“Fine they told us, but just cause we know doesn’t mean we’re not worried (y/n).” The dark-haired man looked up at you from the couch, he wasn’t trying to hide the genuine worry in his face. Sitting down on the arm of the couch you turned to Kuroo and began to speak about as honestly as you had since that day in Bokuto and Akaashi’s hotel room.
“He rejected me and it hurt, but I think the thing that hurts the most is that he hasn’t tried to reach out to me”. It felt good to get off your chest, even if it did feel hard to get out.
“Well you haven’t reached out to him either” Kenma offered, eyes still on his phone. You sighed and rubbed the paint on your finger onto the pants leg of your overalls.
“I know, but I just don’t even know where to start. You know Kei, he’s not exactly good with feelings”.
“Well that makes two of you” Kenma muttered and Kuroo shoved his arm a little “what? She knows it's true”. And you did, you’d always thought that one of the reasons you and Kei had worked so well as friends was because neither of you were very good at expressing how you felt. So you showed it in your own ways, through pointed jabs and teasing, it had always worked for you. That was until you decided to kiss him at the wedding and destroy what you’d built up over the last seven years. Fuck you were an idiot. When Kuroo and Kenma left that night you’d finally started to feel a little lighter about the whole thing.
“Text us if you need anything okay? Between both of our sleep schedules, we’re basically awake 24/7”. With a tight hug from Kuroo and a small nod and wave to Kenma, the two left you alone to think about what they’d said.
You’d known they were right of course, that nothing was going to get solved if neither of you would just take the leap to reach out to each other but even still you found yourself finding every excuse not to over the next few weeks. As it came up to almost the two month anniversary to that awful night, you heard a knock at the door of your studio one day. You figured it could only be a handful of people since not many of your friends actually knew the address of the studio but the faces you were greeted with were much different. Standing in the doorway were two tall men, one with the most beautiful silver and the other’s inky black. It had been years since you’d seen their faces.
“Daichi! Suga!” you brought the two guys into a warm hug and they both reciprocated. “What the hell are you doing here?” You hadn’t known the two awfully well during your time at Nekoma, but once you and Kei went to college they would often ask you to babysit since you were so close by, Kei was never invited of course. You invited the two in and made them tea and sat across from them on a stool.
“So how are the kids?” you asked, still a little confused as to why they were there.
“Keishin is good, he’s loving his new school and he’s on the football team,” Suga said and you laughed.
“Football? Yikes, Daichi that must have hurt a little” Daichi laughed and shook his head.
“It stung at first but he’s actually really great” you smiled “and Yui? How are her piano lessons going”. The two smiled at the amount you remembered about their kids, you’d always enjoyed babysitting the two when they were younger. After a few more pleasantries, Daichi asking about your work and Suga asking after your mother (who he’d only met once but was nice enough to have remembered her name) the three of you began to grow silent as you ran out of things to talk about. You sighed,
“Guys, it’s not that I don’t appreciate you being here but” you paused and bit your lip “is there any chance you’re here because Tetsurõ sent you?” Daichi began to laugh nervously, before Suga put his hand on his husband’s knee.
“He called us last week, he said you haven’t done anything for the past two months but paint. He’s worried about you” Suga’s eyes were soft as he spoke.
“It is my job to paint you know, I’m an artist” but Suga just cocked his head and gave a knowing look.
“(y/n) look,” he said, setting down his tea “Dai and I have known Tsukishima a long time, even longer than you have in fact”. You let him continue.
“And we all know that he has trouble expressing his feelings but just because he freaked out that night doesn’t mean that he still doesn’t like you”.
“But he rejecte-”
“I know he rejected you” Suga began again. Wow, Kuroo really had told them everything “but when Tsukishima gets scared he runs away, he shuts his feelings out and pretends that they’re not there. Now he might think that that is the easiest way to handle it but it’s not. You have to talk”. You looked into Suga’s bright caring eyes and gave a small but sure nod and he smiled.
“Did you paint this?” Daichi interjected after a few moments of silence. You hadn’t noticed but he had been on his feet wandering around your studio for the past few minutes looking aimlessly at your paintings. The one in question was a pretty large canvas, you’d started painting well over six months ago. It was pushed in the corner of the room, behind an old easel, and was covered with a sheet which Daichi was now holding in his hands. You nodded.
“I uh, I had to put it away. After everything happened, I couldn’t look at it.” Daichi nodded and then returned his gaze to the painting. Walked over to join him.
“You should finish it,” he said plainly and you nodded in response. Shortly after that, the two left without a word, leaving you to stare intently at the half-done painting of you and Kei.
~
It was about a week after Daichi and Suga had dropped in to see you when you were in the convenience store around the corner from your studio. You were picking up various things, mainly alcoholic things but it was one of the first times in a while that you’d been out besides going to the craft store. You wandered aimlessly through the tiny aisles, the fluorescent lamps burning your eyes slightly. You were just turning down the last aisle in the store when you saw him. He was standing there, basket perched in the crook of his arm looking at a shelf full of drinks. He instinctively looked when he heard your footsteps and paused when he realized who you were. You stood for a moment, both staring at each other neither of you knowing what to do. God, he looks good you thought. He was only wearing a simple pair of jeans with a black hoodie, but he looked so effortlessly good, he’d always had a knack for that. After a brief moment of staring you took a deep breath and began to walk forward, Suga’s voice ringing in your head. He’d been right, he couldn’t run away from this, neither of you could. You stopped right in front of him and tried to smile warmly, but you were unsure if that’s how it came off.
“Hey,” your voice was a little dry since it was the first time you’d even spoken to anyone that day.
“Hi” he offered back and your muscles seemed to relax a little. Your gaze averted down to your shoes as you began to talk again.
“I’m sorry I haven’t called or anything, I’ve been working a lot”
“Me too” he said plainly and you nodded. There was a pause, neither of you really knew where to go from here, particularly in such a public setting.
“Hey can I show you something?” you asked before you even realized what you were doing and suddenly you began to panic. He looked down at you through his glasses, the way he used to do to the annoying first years in high school once you were both in your last year. You felt tiny. He didn’t answer, but you figured this was enough to keep going.
“It’s at my studio, it won’t take long. It’s right around the corner.” You felt dumb for that one, Kei had known where your studio was, hell he’s the one who’d helped you move your work there. He nodded slightly and before you knew it you were both paying for your groceries and heading out into the mild city air.
You walked next to each other, silent the whole way. Neither of you even stopped to look at each other until you got to the front of the building where you had to rummage around for your key in your bag. You unlocked the door and led Kei up the stairs, you’d basically been living here since the night at the wedding but right now it felt about as intimidating as when you’d walked into Nekoma on your first day of school. When you finally reached your studio, you opened the door slowly and flipped the light on. The place was a mess, you were messy, Kei had always known this about you but right now it felt about as embarrassing as it possibly could have because it reflected your personal state too. You set down your bag on the table near the door and Kei followed suit silently, you were still too afraid to meet his gaze. Instead, you led him over to the large canvas that Daichi had been staring at the other day. Now dragged into the middle of the room, the painting had been completed.
You were quiet for as long as possible, letting the blonde man next to you drink in the piece in front of him. But after a while of him not speaking you started to get worried. What if he can’t tell what it is? Your work always had been a little abstract, maybe Kei was confused because he thought you’d dragged him here just to look at a painting of birds or something. You decided to clarify.
“It’s us,” you said, arms folded across your chest. You saw him nod in your peripheral.
“Oh no yeah, I got that” you waited for him to elaborate, but it never came. You’d thought this would be a good idea. You’d thought that showing him this painting would make him see how much you’ve missed him over the past two months, but instead, he just stood there silently, his face this as blank as the day you’d kissed him.
“Look Kei,” you began, rubbing your eyes, “I don’t know what happened that night but I just want you to know that I’m here, as a friend or as whatev-”
“I’m dating someone” the words hung in the room like the aftershock of a bomb, your breath caught in your throat and suddenly felt like you were drowning. That’s why he couldn’t.
“Oh” you managed to choke out quietly. You brought your hand to your face, you hadn’t even noticed the tears that were now streaming down it. You stood there for a minute, letting him watch you cry before asking
“Does she make you happy?” You watched him close his eyes and pinch the bridge of his nose.
“(y/n), don’t do this”
“Do what?” you asked, “I was just ask-”
“No, you’re trying to make things okay and they’re not (y/n)” he was firm this time, talking to you like you were a child and the blood in your veins began to boil.
“You always try to fix everything, but you can’t fix this (y/n). You just can’t!” he was louder than you’d ever heard him. In the entire time that you knew Kei, you’d never heard him really yell, but now he was yelling. You thought about apologizing, doing anything you could to reason with him but somehow nothing felt like enough.
“I don't know,” he began again, voice back to his usual register, “maybe it’s better if things just don't get fixed sometimes.” He spat the words out as if they didn’t mean anything to him, but they hit you full-on like a train and you felt your legs begin to shake.
“Are you saying you don’t want to be friends anymore?” you asked, disbelief shaking your voice. You took his silence as your answer.
“Fine, whatever you want,” you said and heard him scoff as you turned your back to him.
“Don’t act like this is all my doing (y/n), things were fine before…” he trailed off.
“No go ahead, before what Kei?!” you could hear yourself getting louder and you didn’t care.
“Before I kissed you? Why is that so awful? Was I really that stupid all the years? Did I really misread everything that badly?” You were yelling now, fists clenched and eyes streaming with tears. “At least I did something Kei, you know this is right I know you do but you’re running away just like you always do.” He laughed bitterly at this.
“Coming from the person who dated a guy she hated for three years just so she didn’t have to be alone” that one, really fucking stung. You shook your head
“This isn’t the same Kei, I’m not running away from something that has taken us so long to get to”. He was quiet, glaring off to the side before he finally spoke again.
“Well, what am I supposed to do? Hideout in my crappy art studio painting someone who doesn’t even want me?”. With that, he’d done his damage. Your heart was thoroughly ripped in two and you could not have felt smaller in that moment. You turned away again and spoke your final words
“Get out Tsukishima” you heard the door slam shut behind you.
You spent that night destroying the painting of you and him. At first, you grabbed a large tin of red paint that sat on the ground and began throwing it aimlessly at the canvas. You watched as the red trickled down over both your faces, covering up all your hard work. After a while, this didn’t feel like enough. You searched the room for something, anything that could do damage, and your eyes finally settled on a knife you’d used to cut canvas earlier that day. It felt powerful in your hand, the metal was cold against your searing paint-covered skin and you raised it above the painting. You paused for a moment as tears began to fall onto the canvas, Kei’s paint-covered face was the last real image that you would have of him and that sent the broken pieces of your heart clattering around in your chest. You shook your head to rid yourself of sadness, no, he’d done his fucking damage and now you got to do yours. You sliced straight through the painting.
You awoke that night at about three in the morning, you’d been tossing and turning on the couch in your studio and one particularly bad dream in which Kei had pushed you off the side of a building left you jolting awake. You were sweaty, paint-covered and hair a tangled mess, you rolled onto your side and looked into the darkness of your studio just able to make out the faint shape of the torn-up canvas. You lay there for a moment, taking shallow breaths and thinking you ran through the fight over and over again in your head and every time you came back to the last words you’d both said to each other. They made your stomach churn, in all the years of your and Kei’s relationship, filled with jabs and low blows, he had never said anything so hurtful. In all the time you’d known him, the one thing that he had never done was insult your art. In fact, he was one of the only people in your life who had been truly supportive of it, in his own kind of way. Even when you were deciding on colleges and your parents pressed you to choose something more “financially stable” Kei was the only one to tell you that they were idiots and that you should do whatever you wanted. But things were different now, years later and you were lying on a couch in a studio that felt completely useless, and the only person who had ever supported your passion had called it crappy. The pieces of your heart began to rattle again.
At some point, after that, you’d decided you couldn’t be in that room anymore and that you had to get out. You’d grabbed your bag and your keys from where you’d dropped them a few hours ago and headed out into the night. The air was cool on your skin, just like the knife had been earlier and you began to walk, letting your feet take you while your head kept running the argument over again. It wasn’t until you were standing outside of a tall apartment building downtown that you were even aware of where you were. You sighed and cursed your feet for bringing you here before climbing the steps and pressing the 4th button on a small panel next to the door and waiting for a response. It took a few seconds, but then you heard a small voice come through the speaker.
“Hello?” the familiarity of the voice suddenly made you relax a little before you pressed the button again.
“Hey Kenma, it’s me” that was all you had to say for the door to buzz and click off of its latch. You walked into the small lobby of Kenma and Kuroo’s apartment building and made your way slowly up the stairs. When you arrived at their apartment, Kenma was already standing in the doorway, you smiled faintly and let him lead you into the living room. As he did, you walked past a room that was lit up by Kenma’s gaming set-up and you suddenly felt so stupid.
“Oh god Kenma, were you streaming? I’m sorry I didn’t even think I-” he shook his head to cut you off.
“I’d just got off” you nodded lightly and joined him on the couch. He stared at you for a minute, fixing his gaze right at your face, you suddenly starting feeling self-conscious.
“What?” you asked him.
“You saw him didn’t you?” God for someone who didn’t like people, Kenma was sure good at studying them. You nodded, you could already feel the tears stinging your eyes.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know why I came here,” you said, voice cracking.
“You didn’t want to be alone,” Kenma said, completely matter of fact, you nodded again. “You know, there's one thing I’ve learned since being with Kuroo (y/n), there’s no shame in needing people. It took me a while to realise that, but it's true.” You looked at him in complete shock, you’d known Kenma for years, but you’d never heard him speak so honestly before it warmed your heart a little.
“Thanks, Kenma” you smiled weakly, and then the tears began again. Silently, Kenma moved closer to you on the couch. Just enough that you could grab the sleeve of his hoodie and rest your head on his shoulder lightly. You sat there for a while, crying quietly while he scrolled through his phone. It might have seemed small, but it was just what you’d needed. Just company, no one asking why or what happened it was just enough to know that he was there.
After some time of you and Kenma just sitting together quietly you heard footsteps come from behind you. You looked up to see Kuroo standing there clad in pyjama pants with little cats on them.
“Hey Tetsurõ, I’m sorry if I woke you I ju-”
“What the fuck is all over you!” he screamed. You’d stood from where you'd sat next to Kenma and looked down at your hands. You were still covered in red paint.
“Oh no, it’s just paint! Look you raised your hands and walked towards him”. He inspected your hands and rolled his eyes before looking to Kenma who was still sitting on the couch.
“Did you even ask her why she looked like she’d just committed a mass homicide babe?” Kenma shook his head and Kuroo sighed.
“Okay, Kenma honey. I can’t believe I have to say this but if someone comes into our house looking like they’ve just killed someone what do we do?”
“Help them hide the body,” Kenma answers, so deadpan that you couldn’t help but laugh. Kuroo shoots you daggers and you stop, looking at him sheepishly.
“(y/n) go shower, I'll find something for you to wear. I assume you’ll stay here tonight?” you nod and walk past Kuroo to the bathroom. You pause just before entering and turn to him, eyes filled with tears once again.
“Kuroo I-” you start but he just nods and smiles.
“I know (y/n)” you mimic his small smile before stepping into the bathroom to shower.
The first thing that hits you when you look in the mirror is how disheveled you looked. Is this how I looked when he saw me? Just thought of him seeing you this broken made you feel even more nauseous that you’d already been feeling. Your hair was sticking up randomly out of the bun you had it in and the rest of your hair sat limply on the top of your head. You under eyes were dark with lack of sleep and flecks of red paint dotted your face like some kind of disease. You looked like shit. Sitting on the ground of Kuroo and Kenma’s bathroom you pulled your phone from your pocket. There was a small part of you that was praying that there was some kind of attempt from Kei to contact you, but there was nothing.
You sat there for a moment mind racing thinking back to all the things you’d said to each other, and before you knew it the phone was trilling in loudly against the bathroom walls. Fuck it , you thought. You knew this was a bad idea, but you were so far past broken at this point that you didn’t even care about what you were doing. All you knew was that when you were feeling this shitty, the only person you wanted to talk to was Kei because he knew you best. But Kei’s voice never came, after a few drawn-out rings the line simply went dead and the sound of an automated voicemail could be heard. He’d rejected your call.

The Plan.
[A day after the sparring match, after Kyoko reunited with Yui]
...
So...is there any particular reason why I’ve been called to this meeting about the case?
Not exactly. But you want to be kept in the know, so I decided this would be better than telling you everything that happened afterwards.
Not only that, but I’m going to be looking over some clues today. Your input would be very valuable.
*The door to Kyoko’s office opens and several people step inside.
Ms Kirigiri. I brought Ms Yamaguchi.
H-Hello detective...I brought the clues...
A-Although...
...
Something wrong?
N-No it’s nothing...I’m just curious as to why you’re here is all...
Trust me lady, I’m the same.
I have a few questions about this case that I need to ask you Mondo.
And me?
You’re here as a witness. If you could add your input on certain clues, then that’d be great.
I’ll do my best...
*Kyoko pulls up a sofa and three chairs. Makoto and Midori sit on the sofa, while Taka, Mondo and Shuichi take the seats. Kyoko herself remains standing.
So, all of you are aware of the case I’m currently investigating. As of this morning, Ms Yamaguchi contacted me saying that she had new information. Is that true?
Y-Yes. I have a collection of murder specifics and forensics results...
Good. Then, let’s get started.
Could someone maybe give Mondo and I a rundown of the case?
About 5 nights ago today, at around 6am, someone called in a body behind the alley of a nightclub called the Mighty Anchor. The officer who rushed to the scene confirmed the death upon arrival. Here’s a picture of the body...
*Midori puts her phone down in the middle of the table, showing the body of Isao.
Guh...I think I just threw up in my mouth a little...
The victims name is Kawaguchi Isao. From what we uncovered, he was a member of the Crazy Diamonds, the biggest biker gang in Japan. If I remember correctly, you used to be the leader of that gang, didn’t you Mr Owada?
Mondo’s fine dude...and yeah I was.
But...I can’t say I know this Kawaguchi guy...he musta’ joined after I got abducted in the killing game...
The body had a few noticeable bruises, but the cause of death is obvious. His head is barely hanging on in this photo...
What could the killer have used to cause a fatal wound like that?
If you ask me, I think something like an axe or a sword would create a gash like that...
I agree...but where does one randomly get an axe?
...
The Fire Axe...
Huh?
When we first visited the Mighty Anchor, and I had a brief look around the club, I noticed something on the wall. It was an emergency Fire Axe, encased in a glass box.
The glass looked pretty clean from what I remember...so maybe it was replaced recently...
So you think someone broke the glass, grabbed the axe, and used it to kill Isao?
But...surely if the glass had been broken, someone, be it Dash the Barista, or the police who investigated the scene, would have noticed by now, wouldn’t they...?
...Actually...I don’t think they would...
Why not?
On the night of Isao’s murder, he and Kizakura got into a fight. I imagine by the time the fight ended, the bar was a wreck.
If the killer broke the glass, grabbed the axe, killed Isao, washed the axe free of blood, and then put it back, they wouldn’t need to replace the glass at all. Anyone who walked in on the scene would immediately assume that the glass had been broken in the fight...
Then they wouldn’t need to replace the glass, because Dash would do it for them when he cleaned up the bar the next day!
Wow...That’s clever!
Good eye Shuichi.
But is there a way we can be sure of that?
If we take the fire axe to some forensics experts and then have them test it for blood, we can confirm it.
That’s not the only thing I noticed either...
What else is there?
Zoom in on the ground around Isao’s body for a second please?
*Midori does so.
I...I don’t see anything...
Exactly.
What are you getting at?
If Isao was murdered in that alley, then wouldn’t there be a considerable amount of blood around his body from where the axe carved open his neck?
But there’s no blood in the picture...I see...So you think he was killed somewhere else and then moved into the alley?
Kizakura told us that when he knocked Isao out, he left him where he was. This backs up his claim, but it doesn’t prove him innocent...
I should also probably tell you that the police GPS searched Isao’s phone, but they couldn’t find anything...
Hm...I see. That might be useful...
How?
Koichi claims that he had been drinking on the night of the murder. The killer wasn’t subtle, but they very clearly tried to cover their tracks. I doubt he could pull something like that off while he’s intoxicated...
Is there anything else?
Yes, there’s one more thing...I recently heard from the police what the prosecutions theory on all this is...
Prosecutor Pierce’s explanation you mean?
You know the prosecutor?
I had the unfortunate circumstance of running into him yesterday. Needless to say, I don’t like him.
I read up on Pierce before...They say he has a 100% win rate in court...
100%? That’s...impressive...
But...isn’t Ms Yamaguchi just a part timer? I think putting a part-time lawyer up against a 100% successful prosecutor may be us having the short straw...
No. There is a chance...
What’s up bro?
Alongside all the information on Pierce, there are many theories on him, particularly around those who don’t like him.
Theories such as what?
They say that Pierce hasn’t been in a single trial where he hasn’t hid the truth or lied in court in order to get his guilty verdict. Unfortunately, such theories can not be proven...
If those theories were to come to light though, it would damage Pierce’s credibility greatly.
True, but the chances of that happening seem slim.
So...what’s Pierce’s angle on the whole thing?
This whole case is being framed by the feud between Eje Karma and Koichi Kizakura...You see...
Wait...what did you just say...!?
Um...! Uh...The feud between Eje Karma and Koichi Kizakura is framing this whole case.
Do you know Eje Karma Mondo?
Yeah, I sure do...but...
But what?
Eje was one of the toughest assholes in the entire gang. He was one of the only people in that gang that I ever lost a brawl to...
And not just me...My older brother Daiya too!
Seriously!?
But...it doesn’t make any damn sense...!
What doesn’t?
A couple months after Daiya’s death and when I took lead of the group, Eje up and bolted, and I never saw his mug again...
He bolted...You mean he left the gang!?
That can’t be...! Eje Karma’s the leader of the Crazy Diamonds now! You mean he left the group before!?
Shit...maybe he came back and took over from me...? Wouldn’t put it past him...
What’s that mean...?
...
To be honest, Eje was the only one of all those gang members who didn’t respect me...
He may not look it, but he’s fucking perceptive. The night Daiya died, he had this aching feeling that I had something to do with it...But when he tried to voice his thoughts, no one believed him...
Mondo...
So...he left...And I ain’t seen him since...
Hm...So you two aren’t exactly friends...
Nah...
I see. Well, no matter. Ms Yamaguchi?
Oh! Yes! L-Like I said, the basis for all assumptions comes from the conflict between Kizakura and Karma. This is how the prosecution thinks it played out.
That night, around 10pm, the former Ultimate Scout, Koichi Kizakura, and the leader of the infamous Crazy Diamonds, Eje Karma, have a heated discussion. After Kizakura took a swing at him, Karma set his boys on the man, and had them drag him into the Mighty Anchor. At that point, Eje abandons the scene and lets his goons do the rest of the dirty work. For the next hour or so, the Biker Gang members in the bar beat the living daylights out of Kizakura. However, at around 11pm, Kawaguchi Isao, a prominent member of the gang with prestige and power, kicks all the other bikers out, saying he wants, leaving himself alone in the bar with Kizakura.
The footage from the security camera match up at this point...
It’s quite possible that Isao underestimated Kizakura. The two of them spent another hour or so in the middle of a fight, but just before midnight, Kizakura was able to get the edge on Isao, and knocked him down. However, according to the prosecution, in a drunk and spiteful rage, Kizakura got violent, and began to give Isao a rightfully deserved beatdown for another whole hour or so. Then, between 1 and 3 in the morning, he got bladed weapon and attacked him with it, carving open his neck and killing him instantly. After doing this, Kizakura grabbed the body and dumped it behind the bar.
In his testimony, Mr Kizakura made a statement. He told me that he defeated Isao around midnight, and then he left and headed for where he believes was the batting cages. But due to the lack of evidence, the claim cannot be backed up, this his alibi is shaky.
...
How about it Kyoko? Where do we stand?
The prosecution has so much at their disposal right now. Our chances of winning this are slim...
But as long as there’s hope, I’m sure we can do this.
Yeah. I believe in your detective skills Ms Kirigiri.
You say that, but you’ve been the one to find out most of the clues so far Shuichi.
Ah...well...
Anyway...That’s the prosecutions look on this whole situation...but what about the defense?
Ms Yamaguchi...? Do you think Mr Kizakura is guilty...?
No, I don’t. I’ll be honest, something about Kizakura rubs me the wrong way, but I don’t think he’s the type of person to kill someone. It’s just a gut feeling I’ve got though...
Sometimes, you’ve got to trust gut feelings. That’s something I’ve learnt from my past experiences.
Thank you Mr Saihara...But now that I think about it, there is a way that we could stand more of a chance...
What’s that?
I know enough about the suspect, but I barely know anything about the victim...My lack of information puts me at a disadvantage in this trial, but if I were to fix that...
Agreed...The primary reason I asked Mondo in today was to get any information I could but...
Mondo already said he didn’t know anyone called Kawaguchi Isao...
But then...how will we get information on the victim?
...
Mondo? What else do you know about Eje that might help me?
W-Well...I can’t say much, but there is one thing that’s weird as fuck about all this?
What’s that?
If there’s one thing I know about Eje, it’s that he’s always looking to be part of the action. If there’s a group fight, he’ll jump in. If there’s a race, he’ll join, and whatever else...
I don’t buy the fact that he just gets punched and lets his boys beat the guy up for him.
So you think there might be more to the story?
I’m saying in any other situation, Eje’d prolly join in...It’s way too weird he just leaves like that...
If what you’re saying is true...then there’s only one way to prove it...
Huh?
W-Wait...Kyoko? You’re not seriously saying that you want to...!?
I want to question Captain Eje Karma. I have to hear what he has to say on the matter...
D-D-Don’t be stupid, that’s a suicidal decision!
No shit! Eje ain’t like me Kyoko. He won’t go easy on you just because you’re a girl!
But without his testimony, we’re as good as done. His relationship with Kizakura, like Ms Yamaguchi said, is framing this whole thing. And yet he hasn’t been questioned yet. I’m going to fix that now...
With all due respect Ms Kirigiri, I don’t think it’s a good idea for us to confront Karma. No doubt he’s in a bad mood after one of his best allies got killed.
Yeah...They’re probably out for blood...
Indeed. We’ll be poking the bees nest that’s for sure...
But...I have a plan...
You do?
*Kyoko goes over to the phone on her desk.
Hello? This is Kyoko Kirigiri, Branch 1.
Is Chihiro Fujisaki there?
