Hi, can you please suggest what I should do? I met this really cute girl from a dating site a few years ago. Both of us are Rajputs and share the same traditional values. We had been seeing each other for 7 months, and today she decided to talk about the prospect of marriage in the future. I am attracted to her and would have loved to marry her but my friends suggested I ask her about her past relationships. I assumed she was a virgin although she has talked about being in a relationship, but she looked so innocent until she opened up about her past, like she has a body count of 9. I can't seem to accept that a traditional girl like her can be similar to a prostitute. She portrayed herself to be an anti-feminist traditional woman, so I thought she wouldn't be like this and I fell in love with her but she completely played with my emotions. Hey so I'm not really gonna answer this beyond 1) I don't really use Tumblr for debates/arguments about inflammatory topics and 2) I'm purposely ignorant to the entire outrage surrounding AI art because there are too many things demanding "action" and "engagement" from the general public on any given day at this point that I literally have zero left in the tank.

I'm not defending AI art but I'm literally just saying it's not one of the things that "enrage" me as of late. I'm more worried about things going on in my personal life and the current political climate of the US rn tbh and I come here to Tumblr to be horny about fictional characters because that's a better coping mechanism than drinking myself into a stupor or taking bong rip after bong rip to the face.

That being said I subscribe to artists on patreon that create their own art and will always 100% support artists who draw for a living.

made myself mad again thinking about writers who Miss The Point and how Bane was only on venom for like ~6 months in the comics but some writers decided it's his whole personality and he's just an Arkham Roid Rhino even though he passed the vibe check and didn't even go to Arkham even though his attorney begged him to plead insanity and go because he wouldn't face charges and he said absolutely not they're my crimes they're my charges they caught me slippin and that's on me and then not only stayed OFF of venom for the remainder of the pre-reboot comics but also actively destroyed networks that developed and distributed it, and then directly because of Batman's repeated radical compassion, dedicated his life to doing what he believed was right (even if it still involved murder) and actively protecting people he believed were innocent and helping people he thought needed help. Because he promised Batman he would do better. BeCAUSE OF BATMAN SHOWING HIM THAT WAS AN OPTION.

Saw this in a random blog's pinned post earlier today and I couldn't stop thinking about how it made me feel, so I'm just gonna say this:

If you ever tell people to kill themselves for any reason other than something like "we are playing a video game together and I am telling them that to make progress the player literally has to let their character die", you're an awful person and you need to work on improving yourself.

I don't care if you think their beliefs are repugnant. I don't care if they have personally done horrible things. By telling someone to end their life, you have a repugnant belief (in that you believe anyone deserves or should be obligated to die by their own hand) and you have done something horrible (suicide baiting in general). Get some help before you have blood on your hands.

hi ayanna, i know you said you had no intention of changing your theme at the moment but it comes across as very ableist especially since someone pointed out the difficultly they already had. navigating stories through mobile is already difficult as it is. also the bright blue background from highlighting is equally as straining.

i know it's your blog but i hope you can reconsider.

I'm going to be honest, I find the tone of this anon confusing and I'm not sure if it's good faith because it seems very uncharitable and and it sort of hurt my feelings for reasons I'll put in the tags.

I also feel this way because you haven't even gone on my blog to see what I was talking about: words are highlighted in a muted green colour, not the typical bright blue highlight with white text. I intentionally changed that code for people who might have trouble, it's not a super jarring contrast that's less grating than black text on a white background which is also very straining. It's low contrast and muted. I wasn't trying to dismiss the previous anon or trying to be ableist for the sake of "muh aesthetic", but I was pointing them to an alternative that I genuinely think will help them: the highlighting feature was added specifically for people who had a hard time reading that text. Same with suggesting mobile, which I actually think is easier to use due to the links I've set up that directly link to each story post in chronological order. It's easier than scrolling through someone's blog on a desktop, but I guess that's a subjective experience.

An idea I just had overnight was adding a dark mode to my blog that can help and be another alternative, that can help the anon as well and I wish had mentioned that or asked if that would help, too. Looking back, I should have elaborated more so I didn't sound dismissive, but I just assumed people would know this because I've talked about it in the past.
