I ran a Ghost Face on the Disturbed Ward main building with my ninja vaulting build and it was so long! Quick & Quiet with Dance With Me really fucked shit up because I was going every which way in and out of that place and he could not for the life of him keep up, meanwhile, I eventually ran up behind him and followed him for like a minute and he never knew! IDK how! Claudette’s breathing isn’t as loud as Jane’s but you can still hear her.
Got some matches with Twitch streamers. I had their streams open to listen in on what’s going on. We got some great plays. The one match we were accused of cheating by a Leatherface who Insidious Camped and still got no one dead in the end.
Got a Wraith who came upon me bobbing my green head at mach speed in the middle of the map, and apparently decided that I was a fucking trip so he joined in and then let me and the other Feng Min finish the Gens and leave. We got 32K points..
I ran a Bamboozle Bubba on the dock for 4 minutes, and I know this because I had a Challenge to get Chased for 240 seconds(which I wanted to die from IstG) and that was the first match after setting the Challenge. I only got into a Chase once that match so it had to have been from that alone since I completed the Challenge in 1 match. With Adrenaline I was finally able to fucking leave the dock! I hate the swamp maps so much. I Escaped too. I remember the acute sense of terror when he vaulted a window at a very small loop when it would seem counter-intuitive to do so. And then the window was blocked. BUT, no Bloodlust at the time so he never caught up so matter how hard he tried.
btw the no Bloodlust experiment was very interesting on the Survivor side. I encountered many Killers who were not good despite being Rank 1, all because they couldn’t Bloodlust to victory.
On my end as Killer, I didn’t notice much, but I think that’s because the Survivors I faced were Yellow Ranks. The highest I’ve gotten before Rank Reset is Rank 8. I don’t play much Killer so I just haven’t tried getting higher. So when it resets, I’m stuck with Rank 13s and below. And like, getting them down is no struggle so I didn’t need Bloodlust to begin with. For me, it wasn’t a life-changing thing.
A Michael was run by a Dwight on the Pale Rose main building for so long that he gave up and walked away to find someone else. And I was just watching from that little building on the map as Dwight and he went in circles while I finished the Gen.
I found a Pink Key in the one game so when all Gens were done, we left through the Hatch! XD
Killers really don’t handle Head On stuns very well. Like, you get them once and they tunnel and camp you. I’ve managed to use all the pallets on a map to stun a Killer in a 5-GenChase and not get camped by them when I was finally downed. But a Leatherface gets hit with Head On one time and he has a tantrum over it. And still got no kills cuz someone had Borrowed Time and I had Adrenaline.
Ah, Macmillan’s Phalanx Bone. Don’t you mean “Shelter Woods Offering”? Every. Fucking. Time.
I need to get used to playing the dudes. I typically don’t cuz they’re much bigger and harder to hide. Their breathing and grunts of pain are louder. And idk if it’s me but they feel clunky. Playing as any of the dudes just has a weird feel to the gameplay and idk why.
You ever see someone in just the ugliest match up of cosmetics ever, and wonder if they’re getting tunneled because the Killer hates their clothes? I often do.
Claudette, Min, and Yui are all P3 and have all Perks I currently possess now! *applause*
I was saving up to get Legion but I think I want Elodie first. Legion can wait since I have so many free cosmetics for them and they aren’t going anywhere.
I used to think Kate was the prettiest of all Survivors even if blondes don’t do it for me, but now we have Elodie who is far prettier, and mainly I want her just so I can look at her. I’m very queer. She has cool Perks too but the gay is way stronger.
Playing swf in a lobby with Rank 10, Rank 13, and Rank 17 teammates. Rank 13: If we get a Rank 1 Killer because someone is Rank 2(it’s me) I’m going to scream. [We got a Rank 1 Spirit and he did in fact scream. XD]
Got the same Freddy 3 times in a row today! I was playing different Survivors with different builds though, so he couldn’t predict my playstyle in the 2nd and 3rd games. Blendette with the good ol’ ninja vaulting build, Fluorescent Feng Min with a standard solo build, and then a Breakout Yui build in which I sabotaged so many Hooks and Dead Harded a shit ton that it took until I was out of charges in the end, for him to Hook someone! BUT!!! A Dweet gave me his unused yellow Toolbox, and I got in one last sabo to save someone! I Escaped each match too.
I managed to lose a Nurse in every chase because she kept assuming I would camp pallets, but I just kept running and pathing oddly around Ormond by taking random sharp turns and turning every which way to confuse her. It was great and I never got Hooked!
New Ormond looks a lot better btw... but I still hate the map tho.
Got a Spirit to DC because my ninja vaulting build fooled her even though she had Stridor and I was Injured. I was running to a pallet, she started phasing to get ahead of me, I backtracked and went elsewhere, so she appeared on the other side of the pallet, swinging, but I wasn’t there. I was already across the corn at a new loop where I vaulted a window and Lithed toward the shack. Seconds later, the game ends.
I hate Hags!
youtube
I dodged a hatchet and proceeded to stop getting prompts to vault/throw pallets down. That’s how I ended up in the Dying State. And I asked the other PS4 players if they faced any weird glitches and both explained that she missed a hit and then they suddenly froze in place/couldn’t throw down the pallet they were at.
I even checked if my internet was effed up, but we were all under 85 in terms of ping so it couldn’t have been the Survivors.
Like, she Hooked Dude #2 and while Adam went to save the Dude #1, I went to Dude #2. I hid behind a rock as the Huntress ran by me and around the corner of the map to intercept the other rescue, which she failed to do. I ran to the hook, watching behind me the whole time, and just as I was about to pull them off she appeared out of nowhere in the wide, open space of the Disturbed Ward map. She wasn’t there, and then she was.
I dodge her hatchet as I flee toward the building and right up against a window, the prompt wouldn’t show and I wasted several seconds before I could finally use my Lithe. As I run through the building, I’m spamming R1 to throw down the pallet I’m running to, but it didn’t go. I got hit. Suddenly I was stuck in place and unable to move, and then found myself on the ground.

Star Trek: Picard should’ve been about Seven from the start
Before I dive into my proposal, let me just say that I do not hate or even dislike Star Trek: Picard. I have enjoyed both seasons (though not as much as Lower Decks or Prodigy). However I do think that they’ve kinda screwed with Picard’s character and that Seven has more potential for her story to continue. Just wanted to clear that up before I express my grievances.
IMO Picard’s character arc was pretty complete after Nemesis. He’d learned to accept every part of himself, both good and bad, so there wasn’t much left for him to deal with. So what did the show do with him? He learned to accept Data’s death in season 1 and learned to accept his mother’s death in season 2. Also he met Data’s daughters and got a Romulan girlfriend, which I don’t know how to feel about (I mean I like Laris, but I just keep thinking what the fuck happened with Beverly?!). While I can understand him having trouble accepting Data’s death, he should’ve accepted his mother’s long before his twilight years IMO (perhaps it could’ve been a movie plot, cause let’s be real nobody cares about insurrection). So ultimately I don’t see the point in him having his own show so late in his life. Just let the man live in peace!
Now onto Seven. Again I do like what the show has done with her. While there are some things that I don’t agree with, overall I have enjoyed her development and interactions with the other characters. But there’s still a lot that hasn’t been explored concerning how she ended up the way she is in Picard.
What we know so far is that after Voyager returned, Starfleet refused to accept her into their ranks but did accept Icheb (which I’m sorry, is complete bullshit). We know Janeway threatened to resign if they didn’t change their minds, but Seven gave up and decided to join the Fenris Rangers instead. At some point she became involved with Bjayzl, who apparently had a thing for Borg parts and harvesting them for sale on the black market (seriously Seven how did you miss that?). She kidnapped and mutilated Icheb, who Seven tried to rescue but ultimately failed at. And that’s pretty much it before she appears in the show proper.
Honestly that’s not a lot. While Picard has had his story pretty well fleshed out, there’s still a lot left to be told of Seven’s. Like how did she find out about the Fenris Rangers? How long has she been with them? And how the fuck have none of the other voyager crewmembers checked up on her?
So yeah, if I were in charge I’d want to make Seven the protagonist of the show. Picard can still make an appearance (after all if we’re gonna deal with the Borg Queen I’m sure she’d want to involve Locutus). I’d still keep the cast of new characters (except maybe Agnes, I never really liked her). I always thought Rios was too much of a rogue to fit into Starfleet, so I’d make him a ranger too. Obviously I’d keep Raffi the same, as well as Elnor because they’re perfect. Soji can stay, maybe she could even stay an android/synth idk. Obviously I have ideas for the other characters, but I think I’ve made my point. Tell me if you agree or disagree. Do y’all like my idea for a Seven show?
Oh and btw, I’d call the show Star Trek: Ranger.

“people who’s favorite star trek ship is janeway x chakotay. nothing wrong with it but like damn thats your #1?”
Excuse me but what’s there not to like? Badass woman and her equally strong yet supportive male wife.
Considering trek’s horrible track record with canon relationships be glad we stan an actually healthy relationship.

Rambling, Retrospecting, and Realizing
As I sit on my bean bag at work indulging in a big bag of homemade cassava chips (which were free btw) as I type this, I ponder at how far my God has brought me. These past few months (read: years) have been, well, shaky. I’ve battled with anxiety, burn-outs, depression, loneliness and even thoughts of suicide.
If you’re reading this and you know me, you might think “that’s impossible - she’s the happiest person I’ve ever met. Never a day goes by that she doesn’t smile.” Then you see me on social media with a bright feed and non-stop giggling instastories and think “there couldn’t be anything going wrong in this one.”
Well, I’ve fooled you.
Easy to believe anything that anyone puts on social media, especially with this little outlet of a bubble every content creator, blogger, well known CEO and everyone on this universe can publish about their trip to Bora-Bora or Nicky’s honeymoon with Kristen to Maui. But that’s only about 5% about their life. I like to think, while my feed is well thought out and I try to have what people have a “aesthetic” to, it’s only 5% of my life.
5 years in Indonesia, and to be quite honest - I still haven’t found my purpose here. I still struggle daily to find my quest as I study and work part time, of figuring out the vision or path that God’s leading me to. Perhaps, sure it doesn’t help that all I do in this blog, or even on a day-to-day basis is complain; but I can’t help it.
I still do not fathom my purpose and maybe, just maybe - this is my cry to God.
Don’t get me wrong, I know God’s good. I would be an idiot to turn 180 degrees from His path, whatever that may be. I have seen way too much of His mercies and His goodness in my life and my families life to walk away from this beautiful thing set before me. And while right now I may be in a rut, I know there are highlights of my journey here where I think “Oh, I mean this is cool. If I would have stayed behind while my whole family moves across the country I would have never learned this lesson, God’s got my back.” Well, audience, here’s some of those highlights.
Let me just put it out there that 5 years ago, 2012; God placed a vision in my parents heart for months, after my grandpa, Yohan Sumanti, passed away - to move back to Indonesia. Me being raised there (the US) ever since I was a toddler thought, excuse my french, Heck no. Long story short, constant arguments between my parents and I, between my mom and my dad, between my mother and I (may or may not have ran away from home), too many signs flew our way and finally we thought it’s in God’s best interest to move us back to our roots.
Moving is never easy, and when you’ve lived in America for 12 years, it’s even harder. Especially when:
1. What on earth will my parents, pastors & church planters, do when they head back to Indonesia? When there are churches left and right, side to side, only feet apart from each other
2. Our family moved back with only $1,000 dollars.
Yep, a family of 5, moving back to a country they had not visited in over 10 years with no sight of what job they might pursue, or what schools my brothers and I would attend to with only a mere $1,000 dollars. That thousand bucks depleted in less than a month, yet - here I am today, here we, the Herdiansyah’s are today.
Financial problems, PROBLEMS, do come, but when God calls you to do something, He will help you go through it, and while I’m still struggling to see where the victory is, I know it’s coming.
My older brother and I ended up going to a BATTLEFIELD (read: International private Christian school). You read the part where we came here with only a thousand bucks right? Yeah, well God provides. He provided for the 3 years that I was in high school.
He provided when I came home crying because the principal sent my brother and I home for not being able to pay for a certain event that she insisted would not be a problem for the school to pay for when one seeks aid for it.
He provided when I came home crying because the school took away my student ID and everyone knew I hadn’t paid tuition.
While the help did not come at the time I needed it the most, His timing is perfect and ever so real, ever so present. He provided then, and He provides now. There was a time where a complete stranger dropped 5 grand in Euro, a car dealer providing a brand new Toyota Yaris at a very very discounted rate, an 85% scholarship to pursue my current undergraduate studies, and so much more. I graduated high school, and of course - all tuition fees paid. Oh, and my parents have built another home to many, GPDI GOLF (Glory of the Lord Fellowship) Jakarta, a little humble home for a now growing 60+ church congregation.
Blessings upon blessings have occurred in my life, and as I try to recall the amount of times he has blessed my life from the time frame of just these past 5 years.. I am ashamed to face the obscurity and cavil state I’ve been towards Him - when all this time, He has done nothing but Heal, Restore, Provide.
Rest assured that I, that YOU are in the potters hands. He will finish the good work he has set before you. This post is much more for me to realize that, I am in no state of objection to deny his work, but a kind reminder that.. the victory is near, even if I haven’t seen the finish line.
Life Update: I’m in my 5th semester of my University education and I work at my second job (hello, when I’m only about to turn 20 this upcoming Monday), at a tech start up in the CBD area of Jakarta that allows me to come 3 days/week. Living the millennial dream of free food and bean bags. & I dare complain?
Y’all be blessed in Jesus name.

The Easy Guide to Trimming and Edging Your Yard Like a Pro
This post is made in partnership with STIHL. All opinions (and yard work) are my own.
I have a confession to make. I really don’t like working out at a gym…. I like the weight machines, but I don’t love the atmosphere. Getting on a treadmill or such for 30 minutes feels worse than pulling teeth: you see no results at the end, and you’ve been working hard for 30 minutes… So, I’ve decided that I am taking over the lawn care this summer as a treadmill alternative! We have about an acre of grass to mow, and if I separate it into zones I can get 3 -30 to 45 minute plus workouts a week JUST mowing (not using the auto drive on the mower btw). I am really enjoying it so far.
Benefits of doing the lawn care myself:
I am outside, enjoying the weather, possibly getting some added vitamin D! (I can dream about someday having a beautiful tan, but alas, my melanin is on a permanent vacation.)
I get to see some immediate results when I am done. This really helps with my desire to get things done that matter. I have huge to-do lists, and not having tangible results after a workout usually makes me feel less motivated to try it again. Doing the lawn care gives me immediate tangible results – and a good workout!
I finally have some time to “read” or just get thinking. I’ve been listening to an uplifting, motivational, or thought provoking audiobook or podcast. It is helping me to be more motivated throughout the week to push myself. Also, I have two adorable little talkers at my house, and it is nice to have some time to think a full complete thought without being interrupted.
I don’t have to pay someone… technically, I am taking time away from working to do this, so in actuality I may be losing money, but it is filling needs that I have for physical work and a break from the day job.
I will admit: the most I’ve ever really done is mow. But if I am taking over the lawn care for real, then I also need to take care of the trimming, edging and cleanup after. This is the difference between an okay job mowing and a clean beautiful yard that truly looks manicured. So I asked my hubby to help tutor me in the ways of lawn care. He had a lawn care business in college and worked for a service through high school, so he’s got skills!
The best part is that today we are going to teach you how to trim and edge your lawn like a pro. It’s really rewarding to step back and see your yard with a new clean cut.
4-Step Lawn Care Routine for a Professional Result
So when trying to get a professional-looking mow there are four general steps:
Edge along the concrete, brick surfaces, where the grass would start to creep over horizontally or garden bed and tree ring edges.
Mow and bag the grass.
Trim the extra tall grass along the edges of things, that the mower couldn’t get.
Blow off any loose dirt or grass clippings back onto the grass, from the mower, trimmer and edger.
I think that trimming and edging especially are two of the best ways to really make your lawn look awesome. If you only mow there is a very noticeable difference in the look. It just looks unfinished. So today we are giving you the tips and tools to make your lawn look top-notch all summer (and spring and fall).
Here is a list of tools that we will be using today — you can find your local Stihl dealer here.
Stihl FC 56 C-E gas-powered edger
Stihl BGA 85 battery-powered blower
Stihl FSA 65 battery-powered string trimmer
Accessories
AP 300 batteries
AL 300 charger
Cotton Candy Pink Work Glasses (safety always!)
High Performance Pro Gloves
We did get one gas powered tool, the edger, and boy is it fabulous, but I have to admit the ease of the battery powered tools with the STIHL Lightning Battery System® has me so happy! Before, I would always need to ask Justin to help me get the tools started, but now it is just plain easy! And I don’t need any help to get things started, or know what I am doing (this problem may have been more of a willful ignorance: “If I don’t know how to start it I can’t be expected to do it!” But now that I want to actually do the work I am more invested in learning how to do it and actually excited about the work!)
So let’s begin with some tips, shall we?
9 Trimming Tips for Manicured Lawn
Trimming gives your lawn a nice clean look, like just after getting a new haircut. Think of mowing the yard without trimming as a mullet… but it is 2018 and the 80’s called and they want their hairstyles back… so give that lawn a trim!
Tip #1: Wear safety glasses.
Always wear safety glasses when trimming. A friend used my trimmer once and I told him to be sure to wear safety glasses. He said “I’m fine! I don’t need safety glasses. I will be okay.” When he returned the trimmer he said, “I should have worn the safety glasses because a rock flew up and hit me in the eye.” Just protect your eyes and wear the glasses. You will thank me later.
Tip #2: Mow the lawn first.
When trimming and edging I like to do it after I have mowed the lawn first. The lawn mower will get the bulk of the grass, and also give you a reference point for the height the grass should be cut to. However, there are areas the mower can’t get like the trimmer can, such as under shrubs, around play equipment or trees, and up against the fence or walls.
Tip #3: Hold the trimmer level with the grass.
I am right-handed so I hold the trimmer trigger with my right hand and tend to walk to the right as I trim around the yard. Hold the trimmer level to the grass so you won’t cut too deeply into the grass and create low spots. This is where mowing first comes in really handy because you can level your trimmer with the cut grass. This will also help to avoid over cutting the grass and creating dried up dead spots on the edges.
Tip #4: Trim the grass so it discharges cut grass back onto the grass.
Save yourself some clean-up time and try to keep the grass clippings from creating a bigger mess to clean up later. Trim the grass in a way that the clippings end up back on the grass. This will mostly matter when you are trimming around hardscape, but just configure the guard cover to point onto the grass.
Tip #5: Work slow and steady.
Especially around trees and plants, keep your work slow and steady for an even result and for the safety of the rest of your landscaping. Don’t cut into the bark of plants or trees, as this may introduce disease or bugs into the tree and can ultimately kill or weaken your trees. It’s best to create a tree ring of mulch at least 12-15″ away from the tree bark to protect the trees.
Tip #6: Tap the trimmer on the ground to extend the nylon string.
Depending on your type of trimmer, you can just tap it on the ground to extend the feed when it gets too short.
Tip #7: Plan your way around the yard.
To help save time and make sure all the edges get trimmed, I start trimming where I want to end up, so I end up where I started. Start trimming like you are tracing the outline around the lawn. If you pass a tree or island/planter bed that needs trimming, walk over to it and trim around that, then walk back to where you left off at the edge. By doing this you are more efficient with your time and able to get things done a lot faster. This method will also help ensure you don’t miss any spots. So when we trim our yard, we start in the front yard, go around the house, through the gate to the back yard, finish the backyard, then come back through the same gate into the front yard to finish the front yard.
Tip #8: Trim the cracks that are full of weeds or unwanted grass.
In between the concrete cracks, you might get weeds growing through the cracks. Just trim them out at a slight angle as close to the concrete as possible. After the trimming you can pour straight (and super cheap) vinegar as a weed killer to prevent them from growing back. This is an organic, cheap and easily available weed killer, and you can even have the kids help with this part if you want.
Tip #9: Keep a safe distance
Be sure to keep your feet and hands away from the string at all times. Keep a safe distance away from other people at about 50’ or more. Be really careful around windows and vehicles.
10 Tips and Uses for your Edger
After first mowing, and then trimming now it is time to edge with an edger. An edger is more for cutting the grass vertically along the edges of the patios, paths, curbs, sidewalks or driveways. This part of lawn care really make a difference in the final look of the cut grass. This is something that you can do every other week if you wanted to save a little time. If you don’t do it at all, the grass ends up growing out and over the hard surfaces and can be harder to find the edge in the future. In fact sometimes the grass will begin to grow on the hard surfaces and debris builds up on edges creates a solid bed on the concrete.
Tip #1: Wear safety glasses.
Always wear safety glasses. The edger will spin the blade at a really fast rate. This kicks up a lot of dirt and rocks. There is a guard, but still, I would rather be safe than sorry!
Tip #2: Align the edger next to the hard surface.
Align the cutting blade of the edger with the edge of the grass. Pull the trigger and the blade will start spinning. Start with the blade spinning in the grass at the edge of the concrete or hard surface. You will feel the blade cutting through the dirt. As it’s spinning, you can let it hit the edge of the hard surface you are edging against. Adjust the trimmer up or down depending on how deep you want to to edge. Typically I edge about ½” to an 1” deep. Stand on the left and start walking forward along the edge. Remember, that after time the edger blade will need to be replaced from wear. You might be able to use one blade all season depending on how often you edge and the size of your yard.
Tip #3: Move the edger back and forth.
As you edge, move the edger back and forth to get a nice clean cut. Especially if it’s the first time or at the beginning of the season, be aware that your first edging of the season may require a bit more cleanup then you will usually have. It is best to take care of this early in the season, and then upkeep on the edges will become easier and easier as the season progresses.
Tip #4: Edge often.
The more often you edge the lawn, the easier it is to do and the faster the job goes. Most of the time you can edge every other time you mow, but if you are consistent you can avoid having to “start over” with a prolific edge of grass.
Tip #5: Adjust the depth of the cut
Cut down at least ½” past the edge of the surface you are trimming. Depending on your type of edger, you can adjust the depth of the cut. As you use the edger the blade will get worn and get smaller, so you will have to adjust the depth.
Tip #6: Edge first.
This may actually sound like we are going against everything we’ve talked about, but edging BEFORE mowing may actually save you some time. By edging first, you will be able to use the mower to help clean up the cut grass and extra dirt. It will make the end cleanup a breeze!
Tip #7: Edge around trees to create tree rings.
If you don’t have tree rings, you can easily create one with an edger. Just draw a ring around the tree at least 12” from the tree trunk with landscape paint (optional) then use an edger to cut along the line. Dig out all the grass in the ring and fill it with mulch. This will keep your tree a safe distance from the trimmer or edger and prevent any damage to the tree bark.
Tip #8: Edge around planter beds.
Use an edger to define the planter bed edge from the grass. You do not need to install a hardscape edging system to keep your beds looking beautiful. Remove any unwanted grass and keep edging each week to keep it nice and clean.
Tip #9: Use the proper fuel to oil ratio.
This is especially important to extend the life of your gas-powered engines. Fill the tank with the proper fuel. This Stihl model that we are using uses a gas oil mix of 50:1. We purchased the fuel at the hardware store because it has the proper mixture and a long shelf life. Also, be aware that gas you buy at the gas station contains ethanol that will junk up your equipment; the proper fuel mixtures at the hardware store are ethanol free. You will have fewer maintenance issues down the road if you use the right fuel every time.
Tip #10: Blow off the dirt and grass clippings.
Now that everything is done, all you have to do is blow all the dirt and grass clippings back onto the lawn and you done. Be careful to specifically clean off that brand new edge. If you blow things into the edges of the grass that sit against hard surfaces, that is where you will get the build up of soil and debris that allows the grass to grow onto the surface!
Now you can enjoy the beautiful clean look of your yard.
By the way, the blower is a totally awesome alternative to palm leaves for being fanned when you are done!

Production Standards
I have always been an ‘in the middle girl’ when it comes to shopping. But my body has “changed” since university and now I never quite fit into the regular sizes and a never quite fit into the plus sizes either. My recent trip to the mall was very much like any other trip but much different from every other trip also. There’s always something highly frustrating and tiresome about shopping, as it reveals to me various aspects of my body and how I fit (or don’t) into industry standards.
This time I started my venture at Charlotte Rouse where their XL size panties are few and far in between. As I dig through their underwear drawers, I almost drown in all the small sizes, which begs the question - do I really have to go to Lane Bryant for underwear that is overpriced and STILL does not fit?!
Next, I decided to try my hand at Forever 21 - where I almost never shop because they never fit- but I knew they had a relatively new plus size section. There were some items that made my heart race that I wanted in my closet, but as usual XL basically didn’t exist there, and their L looked like it would fit a certain 5 year old child in my life very well. I saw some baggy L pants with stretch that I decided to try because...well stretch is the key word for us curvy delicacies (it didn’t fit btw) and some baggy legged pants with a cinched waist - let’s just say it was damaged when I found it. Their plus size section had NONE of the clothes in the regular section and made me feel as if bigger girl’s fashion sense should consist of solely unholy pieces. Additionally, their 1X pieces were too small! Which is weird because I have a top from their plus size section I bought some time ago that is still too big for me (AND I HAVE PUT ON WEIGHT SINCE THEN - ??!) P.S. I left the store with what I walked in with.
I can’t forget my sweet, yet expensive New York and Co. I make it work by making a beeline for the messy, overfilled clearance racks in the back. I’m talking 50% and more OFF! (” This is not a sponsorship” - every YouTuber ever). I sometimes don’t find XL there either but we’re talking clearance here, so they’ve been in-store for a while. I found a great tweed skirt and crop piece, where the size 10 (which I’m not) top fit fine if not a little big but the bottom couldn’t zip up so I jus bought the top. Their Eva Longoria line - STUNNING, I got a dress in large that touched me in all the right places if you know what I mean. Which made me feel better considering a Forever 21 2X dress couldn’t even be buttoned on me - and I had help 😢. I also bought two tops, a L that’s pretty loose and another L that feels like it’s trying to rearrange the organs in my torso (I love it though, I just won’t eat the day I wear it).
I finished off the night at SEARS, after taking a seriously needed shoe shopping break. Why SEARS? 1) my sister has a card with them so there was a strong possibility for “free” clothes, 2) I bought my favorite pair of jeans there (I have bought them 3 times in the past), so I always have to check to see if they restocked (they didn’t), 3) there was a plus size section - made more obvious by their recent renovation (it was previously very inconspicuous) and 4) we parked on that side of the mall anyways. Both the regular section and plus size section sort of disappointed me. XL in the regular section, wasn’t XL enough for these melons, and the jeans/pants couldn’t get pass my peaches. In the plus size section, blazers were baggy and ill fitting (1X -too tight around the arms and baggy elsewhere and 2X - too baggy everywhere). Dress pants seemed to be the only thing that worked out well enough. Personally, they were a little baggy for me but good enough that I bought them (the waist might need taking in a little).
The next day I went to Ross which is like playing the lottery. Most times you walk out with nothing, but once in a perfectly spherical blue moon you walk out with what I got. I tried on ~30 pieces and bought maybe seven - plus some shoes for my sister (I plan on using her SEARS card again, so I have to get on her sweet side). I picked up two dresses, some L tops and skirts in size 16. One dress was 1X and fit great, and the other was a size 8 (8!!!!) and it made me feel like I’m the only girl in the world. One burgundy size 16 skirt fit great and another maroon size 16 skirt didn’t. I also copped one L black skirt that was great. Every other skirt came up too short for my height and width but based previous experience, I’m content with finding some instead of none. I tried on some stretchy size 15 jeans (I sort of wear 13) but it was a no go, I didn’t even get it over my peach AND I have a size 15 in my closet that’s too big...so at this point I’m confused. I bought a large top from Anne Klein, that slipped on like water and another large from another brand that could only button to under my boobies - it’s a nice shirt so I spent the bag.
I learnt nothing, which isn’t unusual from my shopping trips...I’m just even more concerned and confused about where curvy women like me belong in this industry. In total I bought ~13 things but only about 5 fit me 90-95 out of 100, the others are about a 75-85...which for me and my history of shopping is a win! (I usually end up crying at night with zero).

Intro to me
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for deciding to look at my blog! I hope you stay a while and maybe even suggest a book for me to review. Personally, I've always loved to read, ever since I was around six years old. Instead of wanting a new pretty dress, I would want a new book instead. Understandably my parents thought that this was amazing, they thought that I would be smart and successful, which for my sake more than theirs, I hope is true. I've just decided to do a random, 100 questions about me tag so you know a bit more about me as a writer :-) 1.) What's your favorite season? Oh wow, that's an easy one, it's Autumn. 2.) Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find a line. "I wanted red and orange leaves in the fall. I wanted change." 3.) Who was the last person you texted? My mom, she asked me about where my brother went on vacation with his friend. 4.) Before you started this survey, what were you doing? Eating a few mini strawberry muffins for breakfast. 5.) What's was the last thing you watched on TV? Sons on Anarchy. 6.) Without looking, guess what time it is now. 9:50a.m. 7.) Now look at the clock. What is the actual time? 9.56a.m. 8.) With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? Bella (my dog) walking around downstairs and my ceiling fan. 9.) Do you tan or burn? Luckily my mom blessed me with Hispanic blood so I ran fairly easily :-). 10.) Do you like fish? I liked crab legs before I became a vegetarian, but other than that, I never liked any kind of fish. 11.) MAC or PC? MAC, I have a MAC book pro for school and it's lovely :-). 12.) Do you remember all of your dreams? I hardly ever remember my dreams at all, but the ones I do remember are the weird ones or the sad ones. 13.) When did you laugh last? The last time I laughed was around 12:30 this morning with my friend. She was talking about her upcoming birthday and how awesome it was going to be. 14.) Do you remember why/what at? She was talking about her upcoming birthday and how awesome it was going to be. 15.) Have you ever been to Canada? No, but I would really like to go sometime! 16.) Shoes, socks or bare feet? Oh bare feet all the way! I love shoes (hate socks) but sometimes I just don't feel like putting on shoes, you know? 17.) Do you wear perfume? Yes yes yes. 18.) What is the last film you saw? The Secret Life of Pets. I watched it with my dads ex girlfriends daughter. She is seven. 19.) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? London, England or somewhere where it is warm and sunny all year around. 20.) If you became a multi-millionaire over night, what would you buy? BOOKS!! (And maybe makeup :-)) 21.) Where would you live if you could go anywhere? Hell. (Being a smartass because I've already answered that question.) 22.) What's your favorite band? One Direction. (Not 10 btw.) 23.) Have you ever had to have surgery? No I have not. 24.) Do you enjoy school? Yes and no, mostly yes because I just like to learn things, it makes me feel good about myself when I leave school knowing more than I did yesterday. No because of all of the petty drama I get dragged into and honestly, I think these standardized tests are bullshit. Everyone learns differently and at different paces, not everyone is super smart. 25.) What do you think of these questions so far? They are pretty normal questions, so they are all right. 26.) Are you a righty or a lefty? Lefty! I know it's strange to hear because hardly anyone is left handed anymore, but I'm a lefty :-) (the only one in my family.) 27.) Who made your last incoming call on your phone? My Aunt. I went to a concert the other night and she saw my Snapchat story thinking I was alone with no parent supervision, (again not 10) but my dad was in the parking lot so... 28.)
