like yeah. at certain ages... let shit go. im not defending the real immature shit. im not defending the karen you're picturing. i worked in retail i hate those people too. (once somebody got mad at me because she didn't like how our winter window decor was a snowman smoking a pipe. i wish i was joking).

but men at 57 will write books about how 17 year old girls are soooo sexy. they will invent worlds where women have to be naked for "armor reasons." they will write songs that treat women as objects. people rush to defend them. meanwhile a woman at 35 will be like "heartbreak is hard, actually" or "i feel betrayed by a friend" or "i am struggling with something emotionally." immediately people will say stuff like this woman is 35 by the way. by the way this woman is SO OLD to be experiencing this. BY THE WAY.

im 31, almost 32. the other day a poet was blasted online because at her "big age", she had written a poem about feeling unloved. top comment was "this woman is 29 by the way." this woman is too old to still be useful, by the way. she has to behave better . maybe if she was a good wife and mother she could stop existing loudly, and the story could continue on without her. this woman has served her purpose, by the way. she's so cringe, by the way. at 29 - so old! - she still hasn't figured out that her existence should be one of shame.

Something something being Simon's VERY pregnant wife about to pop and he adores you more than anything in the world.

He'll walk behind you with a hand on your lower back while you waddle around to support you, making sure you're safe and comfortable

Can't stop looking at how pretty you are in your cute maternity outfits and how glowy and pretty your skin is as well as how long and healthy your hair has gotten

Loves to rub your belly and talk to it hoping the baby will hear

You both laugh when the baby kicks at the sound of his voice

He gets you anything you crave no matter what it is or what time of day it is. You want ice cream and potato chips at 2 am? He's going out to the nearest convenience store to get it for you baby, don't you worry.

He gets so many things for the baby you have to tell him you won't have any room if he keeps spoiling your baby that hasn't even been born yet. "But lovie, she needs to have more than one stuffed animal to play with." "Simon, honey, you bought her five different elephants." "They can be a family."

Comes up from behind you and holds your belly up for you when your back starts to hurt from the weight, nuzzling his face in your neck and kissing your cheek.

He loves you so much he can't keep his hands off of you. He's playing with your hands or your hair or parts of your clothes or rubbing his hands up and down your arms. He always has his hands on you somehow.

Loves how soft your body is with the extra weight and how your breasts have swelled up. He just wants to bite you. His cute aggression gets horrible when you're pregnant. He just needs to squeeze you.

Something just utterly primal and territorial comes over him when it comes to you, especially when you're pregnant. He's been on leave ever since you two found out about the pregnancy so you're never alone and can protect you 24/7

It gets annoying sometimes when your hormones take over and you just want to be alone, but it's good when your hormones make you all lovey dovey and you just want to kiss and hold him.

Holds and kisses you when your hormones make you cry your eyes out to a scene in a dog movie where someone got mad at the puppy. "Oh it's ok sweetheart, the puppy is ok. It's not real." He assures. "But why did they have to be so mean to the poor baby!" You wail into Simon's arms. "Oh lovie c'mere." He coos at you before pulling you closer.

Nearly cries tears of joy when he comes home from the store one day and sees you baking in the kitchen, flour on your face and an apron tied around your pregnant belly as you waddle over to the door to greet him. He never thought he would have something so perfect ever in his life.

Will rub your feet and massage your back every day. He knows how heavy you must feel and he never wants you to be in pain. Plus you're carrying his baby, there's nothing he wouldn't do for you.

Never lets you do anything for yourself. You need to go to the store? Sit on the couch and he'll be back in 20 minutes. You're hungry? Go lay down, he'll bring you food in bed. You need to use the bathroom? He'll pick you up carefully and walk you there so you don't have to walk. You need to shower? He's coming with you so he can wash your hair and body for you. He'll act like a kicked puppy if you tell him you just want to be alone, or you can do it yourself. You're giving him the best gift he could ever ask for, and he'll spend every day repaying you the best he can.

Spider-Society and The Day of Lots of Involuntary Trips to Earth-19999. (Finally finished this, god damn.)

I hadn’t seen any takes on what Spider-Society was like during Spider-man: No Way Home (2021), so I thought about it too hard.

I.e. I pulled up a clip of No Way Home to see what the Peter-abduction spell would look like from Miguel’s POV, then realized he'd have no idea what he's looking at and would probably mistake it for something else.
