Not a request but can we take a moment to appreciate how when Therese started falling for Carol she was like, "Okay this is what we are doing now." And didn't question anything. Even going to a stranger's house after one lunch date.

I mean, Therese Belivet is the definition of gay panic and I think we can all appreciate that entirely ✨

I started reading The Price of Salt two days ago and I find it hilarious that before I used to wonder whether the book will be explicit about the lesbianism as it's from the 1950s, and now I'm on page 126 and Therese has been FERAL for Carol (and back tbh) ever since she saw her. Like, listen to that and that's nothing: "If Carol had to go home now, Therese thought, she would do something violent Like jump off the Fifty-ninth Street Bridge. Or take the three benzedrine tablets Richard had given her last week."

Like, are you joking? aarrgghh

I love how the book and the movie are so different, and yet I feel like they are both perfect and the movie's casting was AMAZING. I enjoy the feral Therese though. You can see her crush on Carol better than in the movie, which is totally understandable due to the medium used.

Also, I have NEVER read a book with so much sexual tension.

In Carol (2015) the way Therese reacts when Abby gives her the letter from Carol has really stuck with me

It’s how she immediately just gets up and leave, like if she doesn’t read that letter then the world will end. In fact her world will end because she was so confused why Carol left and it was all she could think about.

I feel the emotions of this scene so much because I understand how she is feeling. This film is the epitome of the lesbian relationship feeling and it represents all of the feelings felt in a lesbian relationship. This detail is a 10/10 moment from me because it shows just how much Therese loved Carol.
