#There is so much to be said about Marineford though like in so many ways it feels like a window to what was happening in Croc's head

Here’s something interesting! Read back to Marineford arc and consider what Whitebeard might have meant to Crocodile. It was only after the witnessing WB getting stabbed and talking to his adopted son that Croco did a 180 to protect Luffy. I try to read WB’s dialogue to guess what he said affected Croco so much. My favorite theory is that WB is Croco’s bio dad and thus Luffy’s other grandpa! The family tree would be so entangled lol
This is one of those things which makes me feel insane because, I swear to god, around like 2011 I remember Oda saying in an interview that he based Whitebeard on a gay friend he had, which was like part of the reason why Whitebeard's crew WAS his family, instead of him having like a wife and bio-kids. That Whitebeard was gay. But like, no matter how I try looking that up I can't actually find any information to confirm this?? Like no interview or as much as a mention of an interview like that ever existing??? DID I IMAGINE THAT??? IT'S SUCH AN OLD, CORE MEMORY, I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW I WOULD'VE IMAGINED IT UP??? OR WAS IT JUST AN EARLY 2010S TUMBLR HOAX?????? I FEEL DERANGED
Honestly, considdering the way Marco of all people found it unimaginable WB had kids, let alone that Weevil was the son of Whitebeard and Stussy (the current running theory being that Weevil is actually like a clone of WB with Stussy's DNA mixed in), I do personally find it unlikely Whitebeard has any bio-kids at all. Like, that felt like the implication there to me, that Marco doesn't believe WB had bio-kids with anyone, and I would be inclined to believe Marco there as he's kind of meant to be seen as an authority figure in a way (at least on this subject)
At most, if the "Xebec is Croc's dad" theory did turn out to be true, it would actually make sense if Whitebeard had adopted Crocodile after the God Valley incident-- whether the kid stayed is debatable, since WB did still betray his dad so he might've ran away, but regardless, at most I could see WB being Croc's adoptive father. At most. (Alternatively, as Oda has stated in an SBS, Whitebeard didn't believe women belong on a battlefield so it could be plausible he didn't want to keep a 9 year old child on his ship either. So he could've picked up Baby Croc until he found a safe place to ditch him in, kinda like how Franky ended up)
I have been feeling tempted to do a re-analysis of Croc in Marineford because, when I did my first analysis, I was too Lost In The Sauce and far too excited about the mere idea of Crocodad to form coherent, even semi-objective thoughts. But now that it's been a few months, I feel like I could really look at it with a more fresh perspective
But let's just look this exchange Crocodile and Whitebeard had really quick
As far as we know, the only person Crocodile has ever lost to (aside from Luffy) was Whitebeard, and that loss was the thing that crushed his spirit and dreams. Whitebeard, the most powerful man in the world. He who humbled Crocodile and taught him his place in the powerscaling of the world, that Crocodile was at best a silver medalist and could never catch up to him.
That must've been Crocodile's entire worldview, for so many decades. That WB was #1, an absolute fact nothing could change.
But time comes for all.
Whitebeard has become old. He is no longer in his prime.
Tumblr media
"I can't remain the strongest forever"
Even if Whitebeard didn't say that outloud, I'm sure in this moment Crocodile understood that deep inside. That the absolute he had believed in wasn't an absolute after all, that a new era is approaching and the kids (Luffy and Ace) on this battlefield are going to take their places (his and WB's) sooner or later, whether they like it or not.
And of course; this isn't the same Whitebeard who beat Crocodile's ass over 20 years ago. Taking his head would not give him the satisfaction and catharsis he wanted.
Trying to get past Jozu and Marco and the rest of WB's crew, some of whom might be more dangerous than WB himself at this point, would not give Crocodile the revenge he wanted. It wouldn't even be worth the effort. If anything, taking WB's head here and now would just give the World Government exactly what they'd want.
Like, putting aside all the theories, your Crocodads and Whitebeard's bio-kids aside. ('Cause sometimes you need to look past the rose-tinted theory glasses even if you don't want to) (And I need to remind myself to do that more often tbh) I do think the main reason Crocodile ends up assisting Luffy, is simply because of that. Whitebeard isn't worth it anymore. He's just an old man. Crocodile could kill him, without a doubt, it just wouldn't change anything.
So he just moves onto the next thing on his list of priorities; not letting the Government get what they want, out of spite.

Platonic Yandere Doflamingo and teen daughter reader
Overprotective Dad
Platonic Yandere Doflamingo x Daughter Reader
I tried my best. I hope you like it!
Tumblr media
Doflamingo adored you and spoiled you rotten because you were his only child. His only daughter. To him, you were the most important person in his life and no one could prove him wrong. He will kill anyone who hurt you physically and mentally.
There was a time when you were a child and a maid accidentally spilled hot tea on you. You cried because the tea felt so hot on your skin and he quickly called a doctor and soothe you. After that incident, you noticed one thing. You never saw that maid again.
You were too young to understand back then but now you do. You turned 18 a few months ago. You were happy because you thought Doflamingo would finally let you leave the castle and explore the outside world. You thought you could finally travel the seas. That was your dream.
However, during your 18th birthday, you asked him if you could become a pirate like him and travel the seas but before you could even finish your sentence, he cut you off.
"No," just that simple one word was able to crush your dreams in an instant.
"Why?" You argued.
"The outside world is very dangerous, [Y/n]. How many times do I have to tell you that? There is no way you can become a pirate. This castle is the only safe place for you."
You furrowed your eyebrows, "But dad, I wanted to become a pirate like you. I just-"
He raised his voice, "[Y/n]! I don't want you to become a pirate like me. You know, I hate repeating myself. I don't want to hear about this topic again! Do you understand me?"
"Yes," You muttered.
"Now go to your room!"
That was the first time your dad had ever raised his voice at you. You left crying and feeling dejected.
But you were determined to leave. You loved your dad but sometimes he is just too much. You heard that he had to attend the Warlord meeting and will be back in a few days. You took this opportuinity to sneak out and it seems like luck was on your side because it was successful.
"Where is [Y/n]? Where did she go?!" Diamante panicked.
"I think she left. I checked every room in this castle and she is nowhere to be found," Baby 5 sighed.
"Fuck!" Diamante cursed.
"Doffy is going to be so mad," Trebol said.
"We have to tell him."
And they did. They told him about the terrible news through the den den mushi. He was flying in the sky heading towards Marineford but the news made him paused and he was thankful that he was still near dressrosa.
Doflamingo did not take it well. His frown deepened, his veins popped out on his forehead and he looked like he will kill anyone who gets in his way. Abandoning his meeting, he wasted no time and flew at the fastest speed back to Dressrosa.
An hour later, he arrived at his castle to see you tied up in your room. He glanced at Diamante, "Where did you find her?"
"Green bit. Thank god she didn't go too far. If we were a little late, she would have been gone for good."
He narrowed his eyes at Diamante's words, "Untie her."
Diamante nodded, obeying his orders.
"Fufufu~ You are very persistent, my daughter," He walked towards you with a grin. You could tell that even though he was grinning, he was very angry inside.
You were scared of what was going to happen next. You were born isolated from the world and now you sneaked out but got caught. There was no way he was going to continue let you live like you used to.
"I'm sorry, dad but I won't do it again! I promise!" You apologized hoping he would let it slide this time.
"Sure but can I trust you? I don't think I can. Last time, you asked me about this and I told you to never bring it up again. You said you won't but now look at what you did. You crossed the line, [Y/n]," He was no longer smiling. He looked upset, mad and most of all, disappointed in you.
You stayed silent because he was right. You lied to him but how could you not? You were getting tired of being restricted from leaving the castle.
When he saw that you have given up on going against him, his signature grin returned to his face.
"Starting from now on, you will be locked up in your room. And for extra precautions, I will have to put these bracelets on you" He took them out of his pocket.
"What?" You were confused. Bracelets for extra precautions?
Doflamingo took your hand and put on the bracelets on both of your wrists, "They will explode if you leave this castle."
You froze in place. Your eyes widened as you looked at your dad in fear and despair.
Doflamingo grinned and hugged you.
"Don't worry, [Y/n]. In this world, I will be the only one who loves you and care for you. I am the only one that will always be by your side. And that is why you can never leave your dad. Fufufu~"

Smoker hated this clandestine bullshit. But it’s not like he could have slept now either. Those newspapers were still splayed on his desk with your pictures across them. Just candlelight flickering through the room as his ship lurched over waves in the dead of night.
He exhaled from his cigars in frustration, his eyes back on the clock on the wall. How many hours did this really take to rendezvous? He hadn’t even wanted to turn back for Marineford.
He could have been nearly to Dressrosa by now if he hadn’t let the other man convince him to do this.
All so stupid as theyd had to dance around their real intentions over the phone regardless. The Fleet Admiral had reiterated over and over that everyone was just going to stand by and let this play out for now.
It didn’t make a lick of goddamn sense. What kind of dirt did that freak Doflamingo really have on those that held his leash atop the Red Line? Why could any pirate possibly have this much leeway?
But at last Smoker had heard the door knob moving as he’d straightened up in his chair. The door shifted in that hesitant way which already told him who it was.
Tashigi poked her head in, whispering more than even necessary. “He’s here, sir!”
“Then move and let him in.” Smoker grumbled back to her, already trying to somewhat look past her as he stood from his desk.
The rattle of a rusty bicycle chain was the next sound though as it was wheeled in. Ice crystals were still melting from the tire treads as Aokiji passed Tashigi to fully enter the captain’s office. And she shut the door to remain in the room behind him as well.
“How many sailors saw you?” Smoker asked already, watching the admiral lean that somewhat sea salt corroded bicycle against the wall.
“Not many. But your men are loyal aren’t they?” You told them this wasn’t their business didn’t you?” Aokiji answered, then standing back to his full height once he’d set his bike aside.
“I’d like to think so.” Smoker replied, yet his expression making it clear that he was ready to jump right into this. They’d wasted enough time. “So what do you know about all this, Kuzan?”
The initial shock to the news about you still had yet to wear off. But plans needed intel, they needed background. And just from tone alone in their short snail conversations, he knew Aokiji had figured some things out.
The two men were close friends. But the trust they shared was one of those innate things. This relationship hadn’t taken years to cultivate. Very similar in fact to what Tashigi was now becoming for Smoker as well, regardless of her greenhorn status and much lower rank. Some marines just clicked.
Comrades he knew he could trust his life to. There was no point in wondering why.
“She made a deal with Doflamingo in Sabaody. That’s why he let those slaves go from the auction house.” The admiral said abruptly then. But still with the air of a man now letting something painful off of his chest that he’d been holding in for too long. “I think Scylla was his way of collecting on that deal.”
Tashigi’s eyes had widened simultaneous to Smoker’s narrowing. But this was just the very beginning of these revelations. Smoker sensed that too in the way Aokiji was scowling. A rare expression on his normally neutral face.
These were things the admiral didn’t want to talk about. But they couldn’t help you if they didn’t understand. They all needed to know the full extent of this.
“I confronted Doflamingo on Sabaody too. And I confronted her at HQ.” Aokiji confessed in response to Smoker’s continued glare “They were both hiding more. But they…well she told me they’d been together already. Physically. This didn’t start on Scylla. Maybe it didn’t even start on Sabaody.”
The quiet gasp from Tashigi was still so filled with confusion. And Smoker felt that immediately too. Because that just couldn’t be right.
But he was human as well. And that moment of surprise bled into more complex feelings as his cigars moved with his words back to Kuzan, as disgust and even a hint of betrayal began to take hold. “From when? From when I was dating her?”
He’d called you his girlfriend for a little over two years. All the way until that fight in Mariejois. The morning he’d finally cut you free. You were going to burn yourself out and he couldn’t help you understand why. It felt so much longer ago now though. But it hadn’t been. Not really.
“She would never cheat on you.” Tashigi surprised them both with those sudden words. “She’s not like that.”
But her eyes already looked upset. Though she was doing her best now to not let the waterworks out.
“I hadn’t seen her for three months before Mariejois though.” Smoker admitted. He’d already known by then that it was over, but he’d been waiting for the chance to have that conversation with you in person. He had never wanted to hurt you.
Obviously you still hadn’t taken it well. But to run into the arms of a pirate? And of all of the crooks out there, it to be that one? Tsuru’s literal enemy? No, Smoker wasn’t accepting this as anything that simple. You’d always been far more complicated. And he was not the only one to have contributed to it.
For two years he had done his best with you. But you’d been looking for something in him that wasn’t there too. He knew he hadn’t been your first choice. Second place was nice for a while of course, but it was still just the first loser in the end. And Smoker could now see that the man who had preceded him to set that unmatchable standard was still out there in the weeds obviously. Not even realizing what was right in front of him.
Kuzan still just didn’t get it.
Out of respect, Smoker had kept his mouth shut for the longest time on this as well. It hadn’t been his business. But now you were in trouble. Your actual life was likely on the line as just a bit of that anger finally escaped to the surface.
“Dammit, Kuzan! You say you made her confess…so you knew something was up when the rest of us didn’t? Then why didn’t you help her then!?”
And the way Kuzan’s eyes immediately widened in surprise didn’t suit his rank at all as Smoker kept on. He had been holding this in for far too long.
“You’d started talking to her again after I broke it off with her, right? I mean immediately, you two were getting friendly again weren’t you? You walked her out of the damned bar that night with her hanging all over you! Wasn’t it obvious to you then!?”
“The hell are you on about!?” And now Kuzan was snapping back at him, though still clearly confused. “She was drunk and trying to get over you! You’re the one that hurt her in Mariejois!”
“Me!?” And Smoker’s chest rose at that. Maybe this fully was that old stereotype of some men not being able to see the forest for the trees. Emotionally blind in these kinds of things. But Smoker could only be angrier at this man because they were friends. He held Kuzan to a higher standard than this.
“Tashigi!” Smoker called her name abruptly to her additional surprise though. “What did she tell you? That very first time me and her had a big fight and she’d only hang out with you in port all that week. Tell this dummy what she said, because I know he won’t believe me now!”
And she looked from one man to the other in a bit of escalating panic. “But she told me that in private!”
“Well you already told me! And it’s relevant now!” Smoker retorted.
“I only told you so that you’d understand what she was upset about! I was trying to help!”
And it hadn’t helped in the long run. Had it? Maybe it’d only made things worse. “Tell him, Tashigi!” Smoker ordered her this time.
Her lip was quivering, but there was a rare indignation to her expression then as well. As if suddenly she was angry at both men herself.
“She told me that the only real partners she’d ever had were Aokiji-san and Smoker-san! But that…” And she closed her eyes briefly, as if apologizing to you internally before she blurted out this secret that was so personal. “She said that neither of you had ever told her that you loved her! That she kept trying to earn it…and she didn’t think she ever could!”
But Smoker gave her a harsh look still. Because this was almost the whole truth. There was the one other point that’d really been the final nail in the coffin of his own relationship with you. And Kuzan needed to hear it. “And?” Smoker made her keep on. “Tell him the other thing!”
Tashigi’s eyes were open again. She looked to her captain almost pleadingly. “I can’t…”
Smoker scowled. That girl was just too loyal for her own good sometimes. But fine, he’d say it then. Everything needed to be out in the open at last.
“(Y/N) told Tashigi that she kept wanting to find what she’d had before. What she felt with you, you dumbass! You were the only man that she was in love with!”
And it still hurt even as Smoker said it aloud that easily now. It hurt just like it had from the first time he’d known it was true. “I wasn’t you, Kuzan. She was never going to be happy with me. But you’re such an idiot, even when I let her go and put her right back in front of you…you let a pirate pick her up instead!?”
And the main point had still sailed right over Kuzan’s head. Even now, he was hanging on to concepts from several sentences prior as he snapped at Smoker.
“Why the hell did you date her for two years if you didn’t even love her!?”
Obviously their ranks were off the table currently. These were just two men now at each other like petulant brothers as Smoker fired so immediately back.
“Well I wasn’t going to say something I wasn’t ready to say! I knew she was still so hung up on you! I was trying to see if she would ever get past it…I knew she was waiting on that word! But if I’d said it, she would have thrown herself away for me and have wanted to get married! She’d probably have wanted kids!”
Something Smoker could not allow when he knew you’d only been with him as your consolation prize. Your insane drive for accolades, for reaching the top of their ranks had only been ancillary in the end. You were filling that need for validation any way you could. He alone never could have satisfied you, and he wasn’t going to trap you with him. Even if he could have.
But the outburst that came from Kuzan then was something even Smoker didn’t expect. An entire new revelation to hit both he and Tashigi right over the head.
“And what would be so wrong with wanting a family!?” The admiral exclaimed. The hurt in his voice more than anyone could have thought.
Something even Kuzan wasn’t prepared for from himself as Smoker saw that briefly vulnerable look go through his friend’s eyes.
But Smoker was still angry. Beside himself really as all this truth only made everything all the more wasteful.
“You jackass! Why did you ever leave her when you both wanted the same things!?”
And Kuzan looked stunned. But not for long. Never for long as he tried to withdraw into those same old excuses. “Because I can’t protect her! I’d rather be alone always instead of see that nightmare ever play out again!”
“Goddamnit!” Smoker cursed, but just looking fully disgusted now. He wasn’t going to come to blows with his own friend, though he still wasn’t done yelling at him. He had never met someone so innately good, but so thickheaded all at one time. “Marines die every day, Kuzan! She’s a marine! It’s what we goddamn do! She knows that!”
And both of them took a heated breath, Smoker turning away though to go back to his desk as he grabbed one of the newspapers. He shook it in the other’s face. Like a wake up call. You were in danger either way.
You were in danger right now while they were here arguing like children. “We both fucked up, alright!?” Smoker admitted. “I care about her too! She’s a hell of a marine and she’s my friend. Just like you are!” He said to Kuzan. “But now she’s in trouble. So I’m going to Dressrosa! Either help me or get out of my way!”
“You can’t openly defy Sengoku!” The admiral groaned shortly after though, willing to finally leave those mistakes of the past on pause for the moment. To stop screaming at each other and casting blame. The discussion of what to do now was the only reason he’d come here to begin with. “This has to be done the right way.” Kuzan reiterated with his arms crossed over his chest.
“Well then damned talk, Iceman. I’m listening.” Smoker exhaled. Every mission had to start somewhere. Every odyssey had to begin with a first sailing.
———————————
Doflamingo needed to get up. He couldn’t reschedule this morning’s meetings, no matter how badly he now wanted to. But the temptation to abandon all responsibility was only growing as his gaze lingered over your unresponsive form.
You were finally in his castle. Finally in his goddamn bed as he wanted nothing more than to put his body back over yours and order someone else to make all those phone calls for him today.
Money was always coming and going in obscene amounts for him. But you were vulnerable right here, right now as he dug his fingernails back into your hips.
You wouldn’t be bothered by this. No matter how hard he pressed. Because he knew a blackout when he saw one.
And this result hadn’t even been his full intention. You just hadn’t eaten enough last night after all the arguing had started. And those so called painkillers he’d ordered the doctor to give you were all the stronger on a near empty stomach. Their effects blurring well into the next day for you now.
He knew all about that too. These were actually one of his top selling drugs. Pills he’d purposefully fucked himself up on more than once after a bad day.
Because he couldn’t have nightmares when he barely knew his own name on those nights, could he?
And you couldn’t feel anything now either as he glanced over his shoulder to that ornate clock in the corner of his bed chambers.
He really did have to go soon. But he’d already showered last night. There was still a little more time to indulge in this if he hurried. To indulge in you, before he did lean back down to close his mouth over one of your breasts.
He sucked that nipple so carefully though, wanting it to gradually harden for him.
Harden like he already was of course. His cock awake even before his brain had been. Morning wood between his legs, and messy blond hair against his scalp as the pillows had forced even those short little spikes in different directions now.
He’d still have liked your fingers to be smoothing it back down against his head, either that or pulling it roughly as he started to suck your breast harder. His hips already beginning to move while his cock slid across your warm skin.
He was going to summon one of the island’s officials over to the palace by tomorrow at latest. You’d be forced to sign papers that would tie you to him for as long as you both drew breath. Documents to be sealed in the World Government’s records until the time would come to take this fully public.
Because there were strict legalities to be met whenever empires and bloodlines came under scrutiny. He knew the proper timeline must be adhered to.
You had to be a wife before you could be a mother. All just semantics really. But these games were as old as the world itself. And he would not be outplayed in them.
His anticipation for these results was only worsening each additional day though. Burning in tandem to all of his lust as the words of last night still weighed so heavily in his mind.
He’d thought such emotions would never matter to him. He’d believed he’d just take and take regardless of your own thoughts or feelings.
But it had felt good. So very good as you’d looked him in the eyes and said you were falling for him.
That these webs of his were working. That his efforts were not in vain.
Doflamingo’s hips were moving harder then, just useless practice in this moment. But feeling so right all the same. Precum was already smearing his tip as it rubbed across you.
He was pressing against your unsuspecting body that he knew his blood would soon be taking full root within. Because Caesar had never failed him yet.
Whenever that concoction did arrive, Doflamingo would be putting it to immediate use.
And he did raise his head again in this daydreaming, watching your still closed eyes and your slightly parted lips. Your breathing so soft and steady beneath him.
Your life existing for him.
You looked so calm, so peaceful in this state. As if this drugged sleep really were a kindness he had bestowed on you.
But you would be cursing him soon.
Whenever your clothes no longer fit the same. When you tired more easily, and hungered for strange things. When your feet hurt and your breasts grew swollen and tender.
Whether you begged or even cried for it to stop, he knew those changes would come. Because nature would not be overridden. You would be forming an entire new life inside yourself, and be made to endure every consequence that came along with it.
And how badly he longed to see that progression. How badly he longed to cause it.
Doflamingo groaned, feeling that tension already starting in his own abdomen as his hips pumped harder, beginning to fully dry hump you now.
Why did this particular idea fucking turn him on so badly? Thinking of you full of his seed, and made that much weaker for it, that much more dependent on him as that child grew.
But he’d always wanted to ruin you deep down. Because he’d wanted it all from day one, hadn’t he? He’d told his brother, he’d told Trebol, Diamante, Pica, and Vergo. All of them at one time or another.
I think I just met my first wife, boys.
He remembered joking.
How’d you like to be an uncle, Rosi?
He’d said that too with such incredible lust once, fully disgusting to Corazon when Doflamingo had already been drunk the night Trebol and Diamante had brought him your coat.
He remembered holding that bloodied fabric in one hand, and his brother’s spine in the other. Whispering that taunt in the younger Donquixote’s ear before shoving him away.
Corazon the snitch. Corazon the traitor. He’d probably run off to sit outside that very same night. Just as Doflamingo had retired to his room to pleasure himself against the torment of your scent still on that dirtied garment.
Doflamingo had been fucking his own hand, wishing it was you while that chainsmoking coward had surely been sitting out in the dark with the other rats in the scrap piles. Probably with a hidden snail in all those black feathers, immediately calling daddy Sengoku to tattle about his older brother’s new urges.
But the old man still hadn’t done a damn thing to save you in the end. The marines hadn’t kept you away from him long enough. They didn’t understand how many years he could hold on to something like this.
Corazon had failed to make them understand. Corazon had failed you.
And so Doflamingo laughed. Dark and deep as his hands moved back over your thighs to finally spread them.
He’d have what he wanted. Every morning, every evening, every day, week, month and year to come.
Because little Rosinante had failed to save his fellow marine. He’d failed his future sister-in-law with his selfishness and cowardice. And now…he’d even failed his future niece or nephew that he would never get the chance to know.
All by his own choices to turn against his only brother who had loved him.
He had loved Corazon.
But only death could bring forgiveness.
Doflamingo smiled wide, just before he brought his hand back up, nearly against his mouth as he then spit into his own palm.
You may not feel this affection now, but he knew you would later today as he slicked his shaft, stroking his palm and that fresh saliva across the length of it.
He’d move you back to your own bed, carrying you through the passageway after he was done here. Baby 5 could check on you shortly after and encourage you to eat breakfast.
Food would sober you up. And if not, he knew where the antidote was.
He could have already given it to you as soon as he’d awoken, true. But where would have been the fun in that? This imagery was already so desirable, intoxicating even.
The queen of Dressrosa beneath him, fucked up on pills and currently dead to the world. And the king of Dressrosa fucked up on her, whoring himself like an animal just for another feel of his beloved’s flesh.
And he was grinning wildly now as he pressed himself through your waiting entrance and began to thrust inside. Harder and harder as he let out a moan, reveling in all of it as he got his morning fix between your thighs. He had no shame in his own choices at all.
Because he was already an addict, your user and your abuser. Your best customer and soon to be husband and father to your child, unable to ever say no to this product that was you.
—————————
“Hey! Hey wake up! Come on…rise and shine! Hello? Wake up!”
And something was shaking your shoulder.
A female voice was trying to draw you out over and over.
But you didn’t want to go to it. It still sounded far away and you were confused. The pain would be there if you woke up again. You knew at least that much and you weren’t ready.
Then something slapped your cheek.
Hard.
“Wake…up!”
And then again, to the other side of your face.
And again, back to the other side.
Your eyes finally fluttered. But those light stings of being struck were nothing in everything else that had already happened to you. In everything that was still going to happen.
You ignored it.
You were staring at a foreign ceiling through half lidded eyes then instead. A blanket pulled tightly around you as everything suddenly got brighter.
Rings were scraping along rods high above. Thick, velvety curtains were being pulled open to unleash the Dressrosan sun upon you.
Baby 5 was leaned over you as well, staring down intently as she stood beside your bed.
And when your eyes eventually met hers, she smiled so genuinely in relief. As if she hadn’t also been the one to just strike you multiple times.
“Finally! You are alive! I’m so glad! The young master told me I’d probably have to do that! He gave me permission to! I was going to try water next, but that would have been a mess!”
“What…” Of course you had no clue what she was saying at first, just clutching that blanket around your body as a little more sense began to return to you slowly.
“He said you wouldn’t be feeling well, but that you must wake up and eat something if you were still in bed!” She still carried on with her words somewhat excitedly.
And you did somehow force yourself up to sitting at the mention of Doflamingo though. But still regretting it as you immediately felt dizzy.
Baby 5 wasn’t even the only one in the room either as you kept that blanket pulled up to your collar bones while you eventually realized the small crowd milling about.
It was maids. Some opening the curtains still, others setting up a new tray in your reach. Bringing more water, and more fresh food. But you were looking just further disoriented as you realized this was not the same room as the one you’d fallen asleep in.
This was “your” room again and “your” bed.
But the last thing you’d remembered was being curled up against Doflamingo in the darkness of his.
Had he moved you and left you when he awoke?
“Where…is he?” You managed, still watching everyone else so cautiously.
“The young master is on an important business call. Well, several of them. He said I was to report back to him on your condition.” Baby 5 answered dutifully, almost proud in this assignment.
But for how happy she seemed to be, by contrast the other women were just skirting around her and refusing to even make eye contact with you. All like frightened, timid little animals before they hurried immediately back out of the room after completing their tasks.
“So eat! Because that’s what he wanted!” Baby 5 insisted then, crossing her arms as she watched you. That suddenly stern look a bit ridiculous on a teenager’s face.
But you felt like shit. Even if most of your body was still numb. And the last thing you wanted was to be forcing something down that would only be coming back up in a few minutes.
You always lost your appetite whenever you were really stressed though. Tsuru had had to get onto you about it more than once. Not that you ever remembered this many consecutive days of anxiety on her ship, even in wartime.
“If I eat, I’ll puke.” You said simply, head then lowering into your hand as you looked back to the mattress. This wasn’t a typical hangover either. And you knew you hadn’t even been drinking.
Doflamingo had only had them bring water last night, and that too must have been intentional. Because you’d probably be dead if you’d mixed in alcohol on top of this.
What the hell was really in those pills?
You just wanted to go back to sleep. You wanted to close your eyes and not open them again for ages.
“Hey, Baby 5!” Another voice butted in from the doorway though to have you glancing back up. A much younger voice sounding so very annoyed. “Where can I dump these stupid things?”
And Baby 5’s expression flipped instantly from stern to amazed as she gasped dramatically. “What are those!?” Her hands were on her cheeks.
But all you saw was a moving bush of purple flowers. The pot they were planted in being carried with skinny legs and bright pink shoes beneath it.
“Giolla told me to put them in here. Some guy delivered them.” The boy huffed. “But I’m about to chunk them out of the window. I have better things to do. I’m not anybody’s room service!”
“They’re gorgeous, Dellinger! Don’t you dare throw them!” Baby 5 barked back at him just as quickly as if this was only her kid brother she was now admonishing.
“Then you take it! It’s making me itch!”
And she did, easily lifting the large flower pot away from the boy as he sneezed.
Even with the plant and its flowers moved away from him, he was then wiping his eyes in irritation. You realized the half fishman was definitely a little taller now than he used to be. No longer a toddler at least before he shot you a hateful look when he realized you were staring at him.
“What, you’ve never seen a fishman before!?” He copped an attitude to your perceived rudeness immediately. His teeth looking sharp now in an odd contrast to his still relatively short height. He couldn’t be more than eight or so now. And with far more mouth on him than restraint.
“Just thinking you’re at least a little bigger than the cannonballs you used to shoot at us.” You mumbled. You also wondered if it was still Giolla who picked out his clothes. The clashing colors were so bright and hard on your eyes.
“Well we don’t need you here, just so you know!” He snapped back at you regardless before sticking out his tongue.
So mature.
And Baby 5 did roll her eyes, apparently briefly thinking the same. But she was still more worried about the flowers than anything else in this room now as she hurriedly sat them on a sideboard cabinet against the wall. You saw her rather excitedly pull a note from between the leaves when she realized it was there too.
But then there was her immediate disappointment once she’d actually read it. She left the note near the pot. “Boo…it’s just a thank you note from Alabasta!”
“Who’d you think they were from, dummy?” Dellinger fussed, already ignoring you again as he put a hand on one of his hips to look back at her.
“Well, the young master of course! That would have been so sweet!” She looked practically pouty.
“Ew, you’re pathetic! He would never. He’s way cooler than that!” The young boy retorted, now heading back for the door, sassily in his little pink flats actually.
“Romance is cool!” She stomped her foot.
“It isn’t! Go read more of your stupid magazines and keep dreaming, you ditz!”
“Why are you boys all so mean!?”
“Just to you!” And he stuck his tongue out from  between his sharp teeth again before darting into the hall, giggling all the way as a candelabra suddenly smashed in half against the doorframe.
You hadn’t even seen her grab it. And that was no small distance.
“Pretty good throw.” You said quietly into the new silence. Your shoulders still sunken though as you couldn’t find the energy to fully straighten up.
“A good throw would have hit him.” She answered, though still looking annoyed as she picked up the pieces. “I have to go now. Pica wanted me in town to help Gladius. But if you really won’t eat, I have to tell the young master that before I leave.”
“Tell him,” You huffed. “He’s the one that poisoned me like this anyway.”
Yes, the next time he tried to pressure you into taking anything, you were going to tell him where he could shove it.
But she only responded so cheerfully to that. “Oh, if the young master had wished to poison you, you’d already be dead!” Baby 5 smiled so sincerely with these words, while you just stared at her. Followed with a bubbly, “See you later!”
And with a click of the distant bedroom door you were then alone again.
For a while you just stayed there too, fully ignoring the food tray as you’d told her you would. But also realizing how filthy you felt. Like you’d been sweating in these heavy blankets.
You knew what sometimes worked for you for more normal hangovers. A cold ass shower, even if it just meant sitting on the floor of said shower while the water rained over you.
You did want that now actually as you finally shoved the bedding away to find yourself still without a piece of clothing on. You swung your legs over the mattress edge regardless though and pressed your toes into that plush carpet to finally stand.
A feat by itself that was instantly precarious as your arms left your sides to steady your balance.
Simply walking to the bathroom shouldn’t have felt like tip toeing across a ship’s mooring ropes as you began to walk.
But it did, as you concentrated on just moving one foot after the other. And you were making decent progress across that large bedroom before a new, entirely disgusting sensation hit.
An almost glob like secretion of excess foreign material had slid out from between your legs. Your channel cleansing itself as gravity carried that fluid the rest of the way, wet and warm down your inner thigh.
And maybe you were already just too worn, too starved, and too dehydrated as you stared down at that tell tale trail.
Semen.
And it was fresh.
Never in your life, not in all the late night binges or in any of the marine bar crawls, had you ever been wasted enough to not remember being fucked by someone.
And it didn’t matter in that moment what the truth really was. It was the fact that you couldn’t possibly know. It was the fact that the pills had stolen your ability to know.
Of course Doflamingo would do that to you if given the chance. Of course he probably had.
But how many others had had access to you in all the time you were unconscious? Anyone could have opened that door, anyone could have climbed over the top of you and…
Your stomach had turned and your knees were then on that beautiful stone tile as you’d reached the bathroom. Falling to them hard enough to leave more bruises before you were leaned over the open toilet, then puking directly into it.
Every bit of anything that’d been left inside of you came out. Until it was nothing but coughing and spit. Your diaphragm then still heaving against your will.
That burning of stomach acid went up into your throat and nose, bringing reflexive tears to your eyes.
You were so much stronger than this.
You knew that. But it didn’t seem to matter here.
Every time you thought things were getting better, they always got so immediately worse just to show you.
Doflamingo had told you only last night that he loved you.
And Tsuru had warned you that he would never mean it. But did she know it was still the very first time any man had ever said it to you? Did she know how you’d waited your entire life just to hear it?
You were crying again. What you wanted and what you were actually receiving still two entirely different things.
But if you were ever given enough time to fully regather yourself, if the hits would ever stop coming one after another, surely you wouldn’t have been this pathetic. You wouldn’t have been this sensitive.
But even in all of that mental noise, even through your own humiliating tears, you still heard the ringing of your marine snail.
And it took you so long to get back out of the bathroom, first crawling, then somehow walking again. Like a thing only half alive as you’d tried to steady your breathing. You were still numb from the medicine and weak from the continued lack of food. Even in all of that, this person patiently waited for you.
The rings continued over and over until your hand was finally on the receiver.
“…Hell…hello?” You tried to speak.
—————————
There was no guarantee who at all may answer this number now. And as such, he had been steeled for the worst. The worst of course potentially being the disgusting bird himself.
But when that uneven sounding female voice responded instead, Sir Crocodile actually paused. Because this did not sound like the headstrong marine officer he’d meticulously researched in just these last few days since your face had first met the newspapers. No, not at all.
“Good morning.” He greeted anyway. Knowing about which time it should be in Dressrosa currently. “And who do I now have the pleasure of speaking with?” The warlord questioned, calm but firm.
“Captain (Y/N).” And there was at least an attempt to sound stronger then. You were trying to hide yourself behind that mask of your rank and station. “Who is this?” You asked.
But he could hear the involuntary waver which was still there. That slight thickness like there was congestion that couldn’t be so quickly cleared. At least not in enough time for you to answer the phone.
This was a woman who’d just been caught in the act of crying.
Sir Crocodile’s fingers tapped reflexively on his desk all the way in Alabasta, a frown deepening across his face.
Doflamingo never wasted a moment did he?
Everything that man ever touched ended up shattering as weak as glass before all was said and done. Even diamond wouldn’t have stood a chance from being eventually worn down.
“Well, Ms. Marine…it’s interesting to finally put a voice to those pictures, and to the stories. You’ve got quite a list of achievements already in such a young career. I did have a look at your government record of course.”
A brat from the North Blue, the same sea as Doflamingo. First recruited by none other than that old crone who the freak still fancied so entirely. That decades long relationship between Doflamingo and Vice Admiral Tsuru being one which Crocodile didn’t want or need a full history on.
Because it’d always been obvious. Doflamingo either wanted someone to mother him or someone to fuck him, sometimes interchangeably. The monster didn’t seem to know the difference anymore.
So of course you were from Tsuru’s stable. And never mind the additional baggage of that making you and the bird something more akin to siblings.
Since even if Doflamingo’s relationship with your superior was viewed in the least sexual framing possible, if Doflamingo really saw Tsuru as only a mother figure, that would still make you essentially his younger sister when that woman had raised you as well.
An incestuous fucker is what he really was. Because either way you were somewhat of a proxy for that old woman in Crocodile’s mind. But there was no limit for Doflamingo. And the demon probably got off on every single layer of that debauchery as well.
These ideas only turned Crocodile’s stomach even further. Just like everything about that man always had.
Yet he exhaled, cigar smoke flowing as he knew there was also a time limit here. He had no doubt that they’d be listening in to your calls and would be intervening shortly.
“Well, you aren’t very talkative are you?” He spoke again in absence of anything quick from you. “But there’s no point in dancing around for the sake of further formalities though. It sounds as if you’re having a fully miserable time already. And I do pity you. Truly. But first of all, did you receive the flowers I sent?”
And there was a hesitation on that other end then. As if you didn’t know whether to demand his identity right away or to let him continue on in the hopes of him soon revealing his true intent. “The purple flowers?” You asked.
“Yes.” He answered smoothly. So at least the courier had gotten all the way to the castle. Doflamingo must be busy. The bird would have known those flowers on sight to intercept them.
They were Crocodile’s favorite.
“Adenium obesum is their real name. Yet more colloquially known as desert rose here in Alabasta. Though those in particular are a purple variant cultivated only by human hands. Far more potent and quite rare.”
Obviously you didn’t care about the flowers. And perhaps a little bit of backbone was trying to reform now. “Uh huh…yeah. Who are-“
But he cut you off easily. “They’re highly poisonous as well. Not the exterior of course. The poison is in the sap. Coat a weapon with it, and you’ll find it quite useful. The chemical in it disrupts the rhythm of the target’s heart. Even in the smallest quantities.”
A preferred coating for his hook actually.
The resulting silence hung for a moment before he set his cigar down, still holding it carefully between his fingers. He was genuinely curious in your next move.
And this entire time he knew you had been listening to that hint of superiority in his voice, that edge that came from a lifetime of illicit takeovers and equal violence. You already knew he was no ambassador, no gutless politician simply calling on behalf of the Nefertari family.
That sailor’s tongue came out so suddenly though. Even if he could hear the pain still behind it. “I don’t have time for more fucking games, whoever you are. If you want to threaten me, then do it. Otherwise, fuck off. This is a marine line you’re blocking.”
And it was surprisingly amusing to him. He wondered what you really looked like as you finally bore a little of those fangs at him. The snails could only convey so much by way of expression. “My…is this the real you then? Aren’t you charming? I can only imagine the high brow conversations the two of you must have.”
He knew Doflamingo loved a good tongue lashing, in the right circumstances at least. That night from Scylla had been different though. Crocodile could practically hear that demon’s blood boiling over when they’d argued over the phone.
And was it really because of you? Did that delusional creature think you were something finally worth protecting?
When all Doflamingo was going to do was destroy you anyway. The futility in so much effort was laughable.
But again, it was back to business as Crocodile actually smirked, catching you with his words before you could hang up on him.
“I don’t mean to be insulting, my dear. It’s just disheartening how much you misunderstand. Of course the poison isn’t a threat. It’s my gift to you. Use it now before they can break down the door. An honorable death at your own discretion. Before that monster can do it for you. Don’t give him the privilege.”
And whether by full intent or not, Crocodile’s voice did begin to change. He was letting you know that he knew. He knew exactly what this was and what you were enduring, because he had seen it all before you.
“It will get worse. He always gets worse. If it was only blood and bruises, I have no doubt that you’d last a good while. You’re combat trained. But it’s the mind, Ms. Marine. When that breaks, there’s no mend for that. No bandage or splint. You’ll wish for an exit as quick as this then. As painless as this. Simply break a branch and drink the sap. Or rub it into any wound I’m sure he’s already given you. No more, no less. Then you’ve won and he’s lost. You’ll suffer his particular brand of hell no longer.”
———————————
Baby 5 had let him know you were back to being a stubborn bitch and refusing to eat any breakfast. Though she hadn’t called you that. She was still naive enough to be hoping for a new friend really.
A potential relationship he’d expected and encouraged from the very first night of course. Because if you pitied her, she’d be another tool in his arsenal against you.
Currently though he was just irritated with you. You were going to be fully sick if you didn’t eat. What was left of those pills in your bloodstream should be hitting you with nausea, vertigo, and further weakness about now.
You’d be dehydrated and light headed. He’d be pulling you off of the floor when he reentered your room most likely.
Though maybe this was a lesson you needed to learn. If he said to get up, if he said to eat, whatever he said for you to do, you were meant to do it.
He would go check on you after this call and deal out any correction in attitude as needed.
For the moment Doflamingo had been haggling with a newer client. Another king desperate for an additional arms shipment which would turn the tide in their island’s civil war.
And the warlord knew when a customer was about to fold.
“I mean really, what’s the price of peace, your highness?” He’d been smirking so coldly. It was like music sometimes, hearing their resolve wither bit by bit on the other end of that snail. “Pay what I’m asking in full and I’ll cut two more days off the delivery time. Think what this war is costing you already. Every day, every hour as you lose more soldiers and more tax paying citizens. What happens when you don’t even have enough of them left to collect those heavenly tributes to Mariejois any longer?”
“Your current rate is still more than we can absorb. If the total principal could be lowered just a bit more, Joker, I believe we could find a way to make this lump payment.”
“But my ships can deliver more product to you as soon as early next week. In just that many days the tide could be turning permanently for you. Don’t you think that level of service is worth something?”
Almost. They were almost there. So Doflamingo wasn’t going to budge now. He knew when to keep the pressure on.
But with this final deal so tantalizingly close, that was the very same moment in which his office door had swung open. Surprising him as Pica’s broad frame came hurriedly through it. Though turning sideways to fit as he did.
Something was wrong.
He wouldn’t be interrupting if not. Pica was supposed to have gone into the city today with some of the others.
But Doflamingo still didn’t want to put this call on hold. It’d taken weeks to get this customer’s back so fully to the wall. Including the effort of providing nearly free weapons to the war’s rebel leaders all the while.
The rebels already would have been crushed if not. So Doflamingo had secretly backed them first, just long enough to create the opposing demand and get to the much deeper pockets of their king they were still trying to overthrow.
And those machinations were all about to bear fruit here.
Reluctantly, Doflamingo raised a hand at Pica. An instruction to remain silent even as the warlord’s own mind began filling with all matter of hypothetical problems his executive may be here to tell him.
He kept haggling with this other king all the while. But Doflamingo could see the urgency building in Pica’s eyes.
Yes, something was very wrong.
And his smirk was disappearing as he now felt forced to push for this sale’s closing faster than he knew he should.
“In all this back and forth, you’re just beginning to repeat yourself. I need that final agreement.” Doflamingo tried, unable to look away from Pica now. “Either I have our ships start loading tonight to head for your port or we cancel this shipment entirely. Nothing will be ready in time otherwise. Do we have a deal?”
“I…I believe I’ll need to consult the treasury again and get back to you in a few days if your price indeed remains firm. This amount would leave us too barren for all other needs.”
Fuck. And that was the exact kind of delay that Doflamingo didn’t want. With Pica standing there trying to mouth something to him silently as well, distracting him simultaneously.
“I’ll take off five percent. That’s it. Consider it a one time discount.” Doflamingo was trying not to sound as irritated as he felt. Too harsh a hand would just scare this coward away.
“Eight percent.” That king still countered.
And godamn, how annoying. But even then, the account was still too good to walk away from. Doflamingo’s hand pulled into a fist anyway as the blood vessel in his forehead became visible.
He still could not understand what Pica was trying to say either.
“Fine. An eight percent discount if you pay immediately. Next shipment leaves tomorrow morning if the wire payment comes tonight.”
“Done. You’ll have your money before midnight, Joker.” And now the other sounded so confident all of the sudden, as if he’d actually bested the Heavenly Demon.
And that bit of new smugness made Doflamingo want nothing more than to put a burst of bullet string right between that king’s eyes.
“I better. And I have other calls to make.” Was all he said instead of putting the vermin back in his place. There wasn’t time.
“Yes, Joker. Thank-“
And Doflamingo hung up the snail hard, slamming the receiver before they could even finish that false cordiality.
“Goddamnit what, Pica!?” He barked in the outburst he’d been containing all the while, already standing. Whatever this was had just cost him significantly. Even small percentages were heavy hits when talking about contracts worth more than the yearly GDP of some smaller islands.
And Pica did look properly flustered. But that high pitched voice did not falter.
“Doffy! Trebol and the marine got into a fight! Trebol’s hurt! She locked herself in her bathroom and says she’ll only speak to you. With the rule of blood…we didn’t want to press further…we-”
“They did what?” Doflamingo hissed, not staying to hear anything else when he’d already darted around Pica and back through his office door as instinct took hold.
His strings could pull him down the corridors far faster than anyone could have ever run. A terrible sneer contorting his face as he went right over the heads of any soul unfortunate to be in his way on his journey through the palace.
He was nearly sliding into your room moments after. The door had already been open as he’d landed, black shoes meeting the carpet while he’d had to use his strings to stop again.
“Doffy!” Diamante said in relief.
And Doflamingo could immediately see the hints of disaster. Parts of furniture were broken, small items strewn in every direction. Mucus was all over, and a fresh trail of blood was leading to a crouched Trebol on the ground.
Trebol’s voice sounded worse than even usual as his head immediately lifted at the sound of his master’s name.
“Do..Doffy!” He almost gurgled.
And Doflamingo stared. Blood was stained down Trebol’s face, down his chest too as his executive’s eyes were wide at him. The black glasses were missing.
“Sh..she broke m…my no..nose…”
His fucking nose. Yes, it was crooked. That was where all the blood had come from. Blood and mucus as Doflamingo felt his fists clenching to the point of being painful now.
His own blood pressure was continuing to climb, his heart pounding. So angry that it was now making his skull feel like it was splitting.
Just the purest form of rage consuming him as he would ask them only one word for now.
“Why?” Doflamingo growled, jaw muscles tightening as his fingers began to rise.
He did see that bathroom door closed. The one you were supposedly hiding behind as he began to attach his strings to it.
He was going to rip it from its goddamn frame.
“She must be colluding with Crocodile!” Diamante spat. “Trebol heard them on the phone and entered first to stop whatever it was they were plotting against you! He tried only to restrain her to wait for you, and this is what she did to him!”
Crocodile!? That name exploded through his mind.
Doflamingo’s own eyes widened behind his sunglasses, like he’d been kicked straight in the chest himself. Even as he felt as if his anger was absolutely going to choke him by this point.
As if he couldn’t breathe any longer while his strings tightened further against that bathroom door.
“Bring…me. The. Recording.”
That was the last full words he could manage to them before he yanked his arm back.
The bathroom door exploded outward, wooden pieces pulled and sliced, raining down like paper and pulp as Doflamingo strode forward into that new opening.
His lips were pulled fully back, his hand up like a claw, ready to destroy anything you could possibly throw at him.
You fucking bitch.
He’d brought you here. He’d trusted you.
And you were Crocodile’s!? Was it all a setup!?
The shower was running. He could see the trail of mucus leading to that opaque sliding glass door.
Your body had carried it in here. And his fist pulled back, armament coating then covering all the way past his forearm before he shattered that thick glass in one hit.
It broke over you, shards sparkling into your hair, falling down your naked body as he saw your shoulders tense even further.
You were huddled in the farthest corner of the shower, on the ground with your back to him. You were trembling again.
Like he’d seen too many times now.
Too many times to care any longer.
And Doflamingo had stepped into that continuous spray of water, fully clothed as his fingers tightened into your hair, glass and all as he yanked you away from the wall.
He lifted you by that hair momentarily, just before he threw you back down. Hard enough against the pedestal sink on the other side of the bathroom that he heard the gasp as the air was knocked from your lungs.
He saw one of your hands go to your ribs. You were on the floor looking up at him. There was still that residue of mucus on your thighs. And on your breasts despite the water. You were unable to speak when you couldn’t catch your breath.
And as his foot came down to pin you there on your back against the tile, only then was he finally able to see the purple something clutched in your other hand.
You’d had it the entire time. And you now protected it in your grip as if it were some kind of talisman.
Your last hope against him.
And he knew exactly what it was. Something he’d seen multiple times before. The scent of those flowers the reptile so adored still burned into his memories. Purple flowers on a dark mahogany desk, their vase rattling as Doflamingo had spread his legs wide back then and let a man fuck him raw. A man he’d wanted to own so badly. One with a terrible facial scar and slicked back black hair.
The man that had decided they were no longer compatible. That they never had been.
The man that hated him.
Doflamingo also now saw the open cuts on your same hand as you clutched Crocodile’s favorite flower. Your skin you’d split from beating Trebol’s face in when you likely didn’t even have the remaining energy for proper armament.
The end of the stem had already been rinsed clean in the shower. But if you crushed all the rest now within your hand, the remaining sap would gush out to enter your wounds.
That was exactly what the look in your eyes told him now, that you knew this as you clutched that flower.
On your back on the bathroom floor where he’d pinned you, his parasite ability unable to find easy purchase on your spine that was now tight against that tile.
All you’d have to do was tighten your fist. It’d happen before he could do another thing. There was no antidote for this one.
“(Y/N).” And he said it as that new fear cut straight through his rage. His teeth still bared, but his palms now beginning to sweat. The tension in his body was faltering.
“Don’t.” His mouth tried.
Because he wouldn’t be able to handle it. He couldn’t even fathom it.
Not like this. Not this soon.
“Doffy…” His own name was so soft from your lips in return. As if you could feel that shift. The sudden hole in his defense and that pull within his chest again while he stared down at the mess of you. You and that matching pain within your own eyes.
“Let go of it.” He still ordered you. “You can’t do this…”
You can’t do it to me. Was what that fear really meant.
———————————
He’d come in here ready to punish you by any means necessary. For a moment you had felt that. His full rage at any hint of betrayal, his need to hurt you for your daring to ever harm his family.
But he was reacting only to what he saw. Not what really was or had been. You’d already told the mystery caller to fuck off. It didn’t matter who they later said it was.
You didn’t care.
You had already endured so much in your short life, survived too much to ever just kill yourself here and now simply because some stranger told you to. Someone that evidently hated Doflamingo and couldn’t give two shits about what really became of you.
They’d done this on purpose, hadn’t they? They’d known something like this would come of it.
But you’d still been on that call, trying to figure out any of that then when Trebol had first burst into the bedroom.
You really didn’t think Trebol had heard everything either. But you were arguing with the man on the phone as suddenly the Donquixote executive was calling you a traitorous whore and mucus was flying at your naked body.
So of course you’d lost your damn mind then. Because he’d touched you again. It’d been everywhere. And even as worn down as you’d felt, when that mucus was then squeezing around your chest and running in between your legs, you’d still found some kind of emergency supply of haki as you’d finally snapped.
You’d fought that bastard like a wild animal, your injured leg be damned. You’d felt his nose crack and you’d gotten a hold of at least one of those flowers from that stupid plant as you’d escaped.
You’d screeched at them that you would fucking kill yourself and they’d have to answer to Doflamingo for it. Diamante had come in and Pica too in all those dramatics before you’d locked yourself in the bathroom. You’d said you’d only speak to their master and they could royally go fuck themselves.
But you’d still known what Doflamingo would do, even as you’d crawled into the shower. Even as you’d still been trying to get Trebol’s residue off of your body when you could no longer stand.
And when the bathroom door had exploded outward only minutes later, you could hear how taut the strings were in the air. You could hear how hard Doflamingo was already breathing as the shower glass had shattered next and he’d yanked you out and upward by your hair.
He’d thrown you so violently, it’d still knocked the wind out of you. You couldn’t speak before you were on your back with a long black shoe crushing down onto your sternum.
But then he saw that flower.
And you got to witness his realization of what it meant even through all that rage. He’d hesitated. Even for just a single moment as you’d realized that was your only chance to survive this.
He’d commanded you to let the flower go.
And you had swallowed, knowing that you had already tried fighting him. In Mariejois, in Sabaody, and even within intimate moments when he became too rough.
Even if you had been at full strength in this moment again, that path of tit for tat would only reach the same end every time.
You would hit him, and he’d hit you back twice as hard. The two of you could brawl until the entire castle came down around you. It would accomplish nothing.
It would prove nothing.
That was why you knew you had to take a different path this time. You had to at least try.
“Doflamingo…” You said his name again. You knew he was still listening. Because he hadn’t moved.
He was afraid to move.
“Let me up…please…and I will. I’ll let it go.” You promised through the pain.
You could barely breath with his foot still on your chest. He was suffocating you slowly, and you knew what you had to do.
But it still seemed like forever. Forever with your life in the balance as his intent wavered back and forth.
And then something happened.
His foot was off of your chest. And air flooded your lungs as he crouched down to grab you by the arm instead.
Maybe it just wasn’t yet your time. Maybe the anger was too much for him to even think clearly. Whatever the reason, it was a godsend for you at last as he was now within your reach.
And you wouldn’t waste the chance.
Doflamingo’s focus had still been on your hand. His strings waiting to remove that flower the very moment he could. But his movement to crouch down was simultaneous to the moment you sat up and you made your lips hit his. Even before he could parasite string you as your spine had cleared the ground.
That effort had used the remainder of your speed. And that opening was only there because a kiss was the very last thing he’d expect to be given in a fight like this.
At least Trebol’s remnants weren’t on your face. You could only taste Doflamingo then as you put everything you had into this final play.
You knew you had to mean it. It couldn’t be just any kiss, it had to come from your goddamn soul.
That was all you could think of with your eyes closed. How you would kiss a man if you were actually in love. How you would show them what love felt like when given away by you like this.
You had to prove that you were not a traitor. That you never could be.
You heard the sound in his throat that had started as true surprise. Even as you opened your hand to let that flower fall unbroken from it.
You’d never kissed him like this before. You’d never kissed anyone like this before. You knew that you hadn’t. Because you’d never been this desperate, never this afraid or exposed.
And his confusion was palpable. Both of you then sitting on the bathroom floor amongst the shattered glass as you did finally pull away again.
Just enough to lay your head against his open shirt instead as you felt him breathing unevenly through it.
———————————
And Doflamingo had sat there stunned, even as his strings did remove that desert rose as soon as you had released it. He’d pulled the flower away immediately and cocooned it safely in string. He’d have the whole plant burned and crushed to ashes when this was done.
But he didn’t know what to do with you now. He didn’t know what was the truth and what was the lie.
His arm had gone around your back reflexively. His fingers over a spine he could still either break or hold closer to further protect you.
“Doffy…we have the recording ready.” Pica’s voice came from the bedroom.
And Doflamingo was grateful. He’d almost forgotten already that there was more evidence. He wouldn’t have to make a decision like this fully on feelings alone.
“Get up.” He told you, not able to look at you now though even as he removed his feather coat from his shoulders and offered it to you.
It’d drag the ground a ridiculous amount with your contrasting heights. But a filthy coat was the least of his problems now.
He knew you wouldn’t come back out unless your body was covered. But had his men seen all of you already? He didn’t know the exact timeline things had occurred.
“Sit on the bed. We’re going to settle this here and now.” He growled, his grip back on your now feather covered wrist as he mostly dragged you from the bathroom. You with his coat fully wrapped around yourself before he released you onto the mattress.
You made a sound at the continued rough handling, but you said nothing else.
Your eyes were back on his executives. And theirs were on him as the snail Pica had brought into the bedroom now began to play.
Doflamingo moved back away from you and stood to listen. Intentionally equidistant from Trebol and yourself in that moment, waiting on that more objective testimony.
The new torment that was suddenly your voice and Sir Crocodile’s, as that conversation filled the room from the very beginning.
From the moment you’d first answered and their equipment began recording from downstairs.
———————————
You had to hear it all over. And it came across so painfully clear on that recording that you had been crying when you’d first answered the snail.
Doflamingo’s head turned towards you right away at that, but you refused to look at him.
You got to hear the stranger talking over you on the phone next. More condescending and patronizing than even you had realized when it’d been happening in real time.
And then came the part where he’d told you to kill yourself. As if he was suddenly your only real friend, as if only he could understand the intensity of your suffering. He’d told you to end your own life before Doflamingo could do it for you. He promised you that was the only way this would ever end.
But you would bet all the beri in this castle that just after that was where Trebol had started to listen in. Because when the stranger began becoming frustrated with you, when you weren’t accepting this supposedly merciful escape he was offering you, he’d told you to poison Doflamingo instead. If you thought you were really so tough. Poison an evil man and do the whole world the favor then.
Be the marine hero you were supposed to be.
Surely that is all Trebol had heard to come at you in the fury he had.
He may have already been making his way to your room, missing your emotional reaction which burst out from even that insinuation of assassination.
They’d said he was actually Sir Crocodile now. But even if you’d known that, your words wouldn’t have changed.
You’d raged at that cruel voice, you’d called him a gutless, spineless, piece of utter shit.
Yes, you were a marine. And you’d goddamn act like one. You might cut an enemy off at the knees if you had to. You might even hate them if they truly deserved it. But you’d do it to their face.
Not a knife to their back, or a poison in their favorite drink.
You would never do that.
And you told him as much. It wasn’t what he expected either. His true colors had just started to show. His temper flaring at your audacity, and what he called your self-righteous hypocrisy…but then even on the call Trebol’s voice could suddenly be heard as he’d forced his way in to interrupt you both.
Screaming at you for plotting against his master, for intending to kill Doflamingo as he’d come after you.
And your voice was breaking as you’d yelled at him in return. It barely even sounded like you at all. You knew that must have been when he’d gotten a real hold on you.
“Don’t you fucking touch me! Not ever again!”
And there were the sounds of more things crashing throughout the room, Trebol’s grunts and gasps as he struggled with you.
And then nothing as the line went dead.
You looked at no one as the recording stopped.
You were silent.
They all were.
All you’d goddamn done was answer your own fucking phone when it had rang. Every cruel thing the man had said to you you’d rebuffed. You didn’t even know him. And then Trebol had been all over you anyway.
Diamante and Pica had heard his resulting calls for help over their mini snails and joined in. Diamante had stayed with Trebol while Pica had run to go get Doflamingo.
All the while you’d been crawling into the shower with that flower in your hand. An exit you didn’t want to ever take as you tried to remove Trebol from your body.
But you still would have used that poison on yourself if you’d had to. If Doflamingo had been too consumed to do anything but beat you to death. You knew he’d believe the three of them over one of you.
It could have been the end.
It still might be.
Depending whether or not he now believed what he’d just heard. Or if he’d think it all still some grand scheme. And you an actress just playing a role to ensnare him. The kind of nightmare pirates might put one another through.
But you weren’t a pirate.
And your head lifted slightly as you saw new movement.
Their master was now back in front of you. Fingers under your chin as he lifted it further. So that your wary eyes were then looking up into those crimson lenses.
And his jaw was still tense, his smile non existent.
“We’ve done you a brutal disservice.” Those strange words came so solemnly from his mouth.
And then he let you go again. His head turned to look at his executives. He was standing at his full height.
You’d never seen those three look this nervous before. Not at their own master.
But his stillness was terrifying. You realized that as he didn’t even seem to be breathing while he considered them.
“From now on, no one touches her. She’s my responsibility alone. She answers to me alone.”
And they all bowed their heads immediately, they were on their fucking knees in front of him at that tone.
“Yes, Doffy.”
It was complete and utter submission. The only thing they must have known could sate him then.
And he still waited. Making them stay on their knees like that.
It was a punishment, a warning in its own very clear way before he did finally inhale again.
And you saw when they visibly relaxed too as he did. Doflamingo had made his point and his hand just rose to begin generating strings again from his fingertips.
The same trick from Scylla as you saw a duplicate of him now taking shape from the floor up.
“I’m taking her back to my room.” He announced to them, still sounding cold but not as completely tense as before. “I’ll make the rest of my calls today through the string man in my office. Go to him if you need me. And get someone to come clean up this fucking mess.”
And as the real Doflamingo stopped talking, the clone started. Voice identical and somehow emitting from it.
“Go get your nose fixed too, Trebol.” It said, frowning.
You saw that look of real relief form on Trebol’s bloody face then. As if his master was being so kind to him now.
And maybe he was by Doflamingo standards. He was washing his hands of this. They were all free to go. The clone only told Diamante to take that plant and destroy it as well.
“You’re coming with me.” The real man said back above you though as you glanced up. He was picking you up again, right off of the bed and back into his arms, pink feathers and all with his coat still around you like a robe.
All while his clone moved independently, hands in its fake pockets then, leaving the room via the main door back to the palace hallways with the executives.
But you were being carried to that same hidden passage again which connected your two rooms. By the time he spoke to you again, he didn’t sound emotionless anymore. He sounded tired.
The others were gone. They couldn’t hear him.
“I’m sorry.” He said it so abruptly, you almost didn’t register it. Followed with, “And don’t ever get fucking used to me saying that.”
You stared up at him in astonishment as he moved you through that dark passageway.
Back to his chambers, back to his full protection.
And you felt his hands tighten on you slightly, once the passage was sealed and you were both alone within the king’s suite again.
The curtains were all drawn shut, leaving it cooler and darker in here because of that. It felt like his den.
Like a sanctuary.
You were still in Doflamingo’s arms as his face pressed down against your neck and he leaned his back against the wall. He breathed you in. Hesitating as if he didn’t want to let you go, like he was delaying it in any way he could.
But eventually he’d lifted his head again to look down at you.
“Move my glasses out of the way,” he told you then. Both of his arms already occupied in holding you to him.
A request that was easier said than done when you had to fish your hand out of the feathers that were still wrapped around you like an oversized blanket.
But you did eventually manage it. Gently reaching up to touch those somewhat famous frames. And when he didn’t resist, you lifted them all the way up to set them on top of his  head.
He stared at you for a long moment after, his good eye sharply focused, searching within your own eyes really.
Looking for something before he spoke again.
“You’re lucky I know him well enough to tell when he was being genuine. That really was your first introduction to one another…and he misjudged you completely.”
“I don’t roll over easily.” You said flatly.
“I know.” Was all he answered at first though.
And he leaned in to steal your lips briefly then, covering them with his own. But it was different. It was soft.
It felt like that very intentional kiss you’d given him earlier, or at least his best imitation of it.
And when he was done, he still left his face close as well, warm against yours. His next words were quieter, only for the privacy of this moment.
“In that year you were with Kuzan…I tried to go after Crocodile. I tried with everything I had. I know people still talk about it. But they have no idea. It was…like a fucking war. But I wanted it. I wanted it so badly.”
And it was that stranger smile of his that followed. The one that looked painful. The one that nearly looked wounded. “But he cut me off all at once one day. He told me I was worthless…and he’s insisted on trying to remind me of that ever since.”
And the actual regret in Doflamingo’s tone was surprisingly real, as was the anger that rose to cover it.
“But their losses become our victories. Don’t they?” He sneered.
And you felt his fingertips, starting to hurt you again even through the coat. His grip becoming that severe.
“None of them understand what they’ve created in bringing you and I fully together now.” He murmured against your skin. His lips still drawn back enough for you to feel his teeth. “We’ll outlast whatever their envy tries to throw at us next. As long as you stay loyal to me…then you have my protection. You have my love until the very end, woman.”
And it was another ultimatum without question. To the end…an end he could either cause tomorrow or twenty years from now.
Because it was up to him. No one else. Everything was still about him.
“I understand.” You said without argument though. Because he wasn’t asking anyway. He was telling you how this was going to be.
He was promising this to you.
You would still resist. You both knew it. You would test the boundaries again and again, flapping your own wings against this shrinking cage soon enough.
But he still liked that too didn’t he? Because a little bird who said nothing, did nothing, and would only lay listless at the bottom of its enclosure at all times wouldn’t be worth having.
So you could thrash and fight, even bite him occasionally if he handled you too roughly.
But you could never truly leave. You could never sing your song for another. You had to be his.
Only his.

I love your comics about Crocodad! In the Canon dynamics...how do you think Croc would react realizing after years that he beat up his son in Alabasta?😂
-PChan
I'm happy you like my Crocodad comics PChan! ♥
Since very little time passes in canon between Crocodile getting beaten up by Luffy and the "Luffy is Dragon's son" reveal at Marineford (we're talking a month, give or take), it'd still be very fresh in his memory once he realizes!
Depending on what his feelings are regarding his child his reactions might be different! I think he'd be momentarily shocked at the reveal, but whether he'd feel guilty, angry or even proud really depends on why Crocodile didn't keep him/ how he feels about the pregnancy/ how he feels about Dragon in general?
He doesn't really seem like a guy to dwell on the past too much apart from his beef with Whitebeard, so of course the circumstances around Luffy's birth might also be something that he's got bottled up and that he might be impacted by now that his son is just within reach. I can see him adapt and course-correct quickly into wanting to see what Luffy can achieve, so he'd protect him. Whether he wants a relationship with him or not would influence whether he'd tell Luffy (Luffy's reaction is of course also up for debate. Luffy completely rejecting the idea of it is just one possibility *lol* He might want to make Crocodile his family, even though I'm not sure what it'll take for Luffy to get over Alabasta? He does seem to be chill around Crocodile after that initial anger, not that we get a lot of interactions.)
That said, since I like to imagine that Crocodile loved his child but knew he couldn't keep him, he'd feel bad about nearly killing him and maybe even curse Dragon mentally that the kid is here on this battlefield, with a target on his back because Sengoku just told everyone who he was. What was the point of the one act of sacrifice for the sake of safety they did as parents? I think he'd be angry and determined to make sure Luffy is going to make it off this battlefield alive. And after that he'd have time to sink into the pull of his old wounds, to feel all that guilt, despair, anger, longing and love. And then he'd either make sure his plans didn't interfere with Luffy, maybe even make sure wipe out obstacles in his way, or he'd tell him and he'd get to be a parent, now that Luffy's making a name for himself in his own right and the world knowing that Crocodile is his parent wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to Luffy in the grander scheme of things.
Now I ranted about more than you asked *lol* Many emotions about this.

Being a pirate had its ups and downs. She was a pirate captain of her own crew, which can sometimes be a rowdy bunch. But she still cared about her crew like they are family, because to her, her crew is her family. She was friends with another fellow pirate crew. The Heart Pirates, their captain Trafalgar D. Water Law was an interesting man so to say. She felt attracted to the man, he was handsome. But there was a problem, the two everytime the crews met up, they danced around each other like a game of cat and mouse.
Right now was like any other day, it was surprisingly a calming day. The two crews were finally able to fully relax without having to worry about marines all the time wanting to capture them. So it felt nice to finally be able to relax and not stress about it. As per usual she and Law were bouncing around each other. Much to the two captains' crew's annoyance, it was completely obvious that the two were in love with each other.
Both their crews decided to explore the island leaving her and Law alone on the Polar Tang, she was reading a book sitting down outside on the deck of the submarine like ship, Law was nearby sharpening Kikoku. He was quiet the whole time that he did so, she was starting to get bored. She let out a small sigh, which gained the attention of the said man. He looked up at her, raising his eyebrow at her. She looked at him.
“What?” she asked, looking at the man. He simply shrugged.“Nothing. If you’re that bored, you can always explore the island with the others.” He grunted out in his deep voice. “Nah I’m good. I’m bored, yes. But I would rather spend my time getting to finally enjoy the sun. Instead of always having to worry about the damn marines.” She spoke, as she closed the book she was reading, laying it down on the side. He grunted acknowledging her words without speaking. He was a man of not many words. Even though he always looked grumpy all the time.
She will never say it to his face, that regardless of the fact The Surgeon of Death always looked grumpy, and unapproachable, to her he was a sweet man, who cared about those closest to him. So he wasn’t a heartless man everyone made him out to be. If he was heartless he wouldn’t have saved strawhats life after Marineford.
So the man had a heart, and he cared just that he had different ways to show it. She didn’t even realize that she was still staring at Law, until he cleared his throat which got her attention. He stood up. “I’m gonna make myself something to eat. Do you want anything to eat? I'm sure there's something in the kitchen that you might like.” Law said, turning and looking at her. It made her heart start racing, she nodded. “Yes please, I would like that thanks.” She smiled at him. They headed back inside. Heading to the dining area.
He went into the kitchen and made the two his favorite food Onigiri. His back was to her as he made the food. After he was done making the Onigiri he walked over to one of the tables she was sitting at, sitting one of the plates in front of her, and sat down with his plate of Onigiri right across from her. “Thanks Law.” She thanked the tattooed man across from her, he gave her a soft nod.
The two ate in silence, this was her second time trying his favorite food,it was really good. It made her heart swell that he was willing to share his favorite foods with her.  Now if only he would share what was on his mind. The look he was giving while focusing on his plate made her shiver from the intensity. She kept sneaking glances at the man, curiosity burning in her whole body. He felt her looking at him, he looked up at her raising his eyebrow in the process. “What? Is there something on my face?” He asked her, there was a piece of rice at the corner of his lip.
“Actually yes there is.” She giggled, before she reached over and softly brushed the rice from the corner of his lip. That made the man blush a little bit. “Thank you.” He thanked the woman sheepishly, she giggled a bit with a shy smile on her face. “Of course Law.” She spoke softly, her face was flushed with a blush also. He looked up at her again. The two held eye contact for what felt like a long time, but was actually only five minutes.
He thought she was beautiful, and he won’t lie he was attracted to the woman across from him, and he was tired of this cat and mouse game the two played, he needed to man up and confess to her. But why was it so hard to do so? The man has plenty of opportunities to do so, like right now is a good time. He let out a sigh “can I admit something to you?” He asked the woman across from him. She looked at him. “Yeah? What is it?” She inquired, confused while looking at him.
“I… I like you.” He blurted out, making the woman start to blush at his words. She wasn’t stupid she knew what he was doing, he was confessing to her. “I l-like you too L-Law.” She spoke shyly, a blush still adorning her beautiful face. And regardless of the fact the two have already confessed he still was going to be respectful, and ask her one thing.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked her. She blushed even more at his question, but she nodded softly. He stood up walking over to the side of the table she sat at, he bent down to her height. Leaning in softly putting his lips against her own, she kissed him back. They held close together as they continued to kiss. Both were new to this and didn't want to process without making the other feel uncomfortable. They pulled away briefly for air, but quickly went back to kissing.
Room, Shambles he had shambled the two, to his room on the sub. The two were still kissing, as he laid her down softly on the bed. He pulled away from her lips, looking down at the woman underneath his larger body. Both of their faces are adorned with a blush. His eyes were blown wide with lust and love. But there was one little problem.
She was a virgin…. He saw the scared look on her beautiful face. “Are you okay? We can stop.” He said quickly, looking at the smaller woman worriedly. She shook her head, she didn’t want to stop. “No! No! It's just…I’m a virgin.” She whimpered. His eyes went wide for a bit, but then they went soft. “Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle, I promise. But if it’s too much, please tell me.” He spoke softly, but also very serious. “Yes Law.” She whispered, causing him to smile softly. He then started to kiss her neck softly. He lifted her shirt up softly, and unclipped her bra.
He looked at her breasts, she was utterly beautiful. “So beautiful.” He spoke softly, as he leaned down taking one of her nipples into his mouth, starting to suck on it. While he softly pinched and played with the other. She let out a small moan at him giving her chest love. He switched to the other one, putting it into his mouth, to give it the same treatment as well. Her moans were absolutely stunning. He started to kiss downwards, looking at her as he did so.
He made his way down to her shorts, he looked at her. Silently asking for her permission before continuing. She gave him a small nod of approval, causing him to start gently unbuttoning her shorts, pulling them down along with her underwear. She lifted up her bottom to give him easy access to take the two garments off. After he took said garments off her he threw them somewhere behind him. He took his shirt off, showing off his broad chest. He took his tattooed hands to her thighs, spreading them gently.
He looked at her glistening slit, he groaned lowly as he looked at her wetness. He leaned down, licking a stripe from her slit all the way to her clit. She let out a small moan at the pleasure she felt. He suddenly dove in, eating her out like a starved man, making sure to give her clit attention. She was letting out small moans as he ate her out. His thumb rubbing her clit softly. He took his other hand and brought it to her wet heat, sticking two of his fingers gently into her, and started to finger her softly.
She was letting out moans of pleasure into the room, letting him know it was making her feel so good. “L-Law it feels so g-good baby.~” she moaned out, causing the man to groan. As he continued to finger her, he started to suck on her clit gently. She felt something bubbling inside her, which caused her to move around, moaning out loudly. “L-Law I f-feel weird I f-feel something coming!” She moaned out into the air. “Let it out pretty girl, let it out.” He cooed against her clit, as he fingered her a little faster, curling his fingers as he did so.
She let out a loud shout of his name as she cummed all over the lower part of Law’s face, coating his goatee in her sweet essence, he drank up all that he could groaning from the sweet taste, he pulled away looking into her eyes, as he licked his lips sexily. Which made the woman let out a small whimper, a small blush adorning her cheeks.
He stood up, starting to unbuckle his belt, and unbuttoning his pants, he had taken his boots off ahead of time. As he started to pull his pants and underwear down, his hard member springing free, hitting his stomach, she looked at it and her face went even more red. He was huge! How was that gonna fit?! It was long, with a thick girth to it. The bright red tip was leaking precum from it.
He got back onto the bed, taking a hold of his member, as he got in between the woman's legs. She looked intimidated by the size. “I’ll be gentle, I promise. Do you trust me?” He asked her softly, she nodded. As she closed her eyes. “No, no. I want you to look at me sweetheart, look at me.” He spoke gently, causing the woman to open her eyes and look into Law’s grey eyes. “That's a good girl.” He cooed softly, as he started to push into her softly.
Tears started to spring to her eyes at the discomforting stretch, he was holding her close to him, as he kissed the side of her face gently, trying to distract her as he continued to push into her gently. He stopped as soon as he was all the way in, letting her adjust to his size. He remained holding her close the whole time.
“You can move.” She whispered, he started to slowly thrust into her, being as gentle as possible, because of it being her first time. He settled with gentle thrusting, groaning out as he thrusted into her tight, wet heat. “God, your so tight sweetheart, feels so good around me, pretty girl. Taking me so well.” He cooed softly, praising her as he did so. She was moaning out from the pleasure.
“A little faster, please Law.” She moaned out, he started to speed up with his thrusting, still remaining gentle as he did so, the bed squeaking underneath the two, as he continued his thrusting, his member hitting her sweet spot each time. She dug her fingers into his back as she wrapped her legs around his waist. He loved listening to her sweet moans, like music to his ears.
He brought a hand down to her clit, rubbing it as he continued his movements, the head of his member kissing her cervix with each thrust into her, she let out louder moans cause she felt close again, she dug her nails into his back, as she arched her back, letting out a loud moan of the man's name. He felt her squeeze around him, making him groan out. As he continued to thrust sloppily into her, he was close himself.
He suddenly pulled out, his essence spurted onto her stomach, he let out a groan from it. The room was quiet after that, besides the two currently catching their breaths. He stood up from the bed and picked up a clean rag from his laundry, and cleaned her stomach softly, leaning down and kissing her lips softly, after he finished he threw the rag across the room, not caring about where it landed. He laid down next to the woman, bringing her close to him. Kissing the side of her head softly.
“Are you doing okay?” He asked her softly, she nodded into his chest. Nuzzling more into him and taking in his manly scent, she closed her eyes, exhausted from the events that happened. He smiled, kissing the side of her head again, closing his eyes as well. The two lovebirds fall asleep in each other's embrace.

Law & Robin analysis: Punk Hazard
I finally have some free time to re-read punk hazard and write my analysis. (have been busy with life in general :/) Someone on twitter asked me to write a chronology of lawbin's relationship, so I will just do it arc by arc.
Again, if you don't like lawbin, just don't read it. Please be civilize and respect each other.
As usual, I blab a lot in my analysis so just skimming if you want to. I will use purple to indicate my delulu thoughts.
~LAWBIN STRANGER PHASE~
Chapter 503: Law & Robin first met
When I read this chapter or even when I watching punk hazard for the first time, I didn't really associate Law and Robin together. I just think they are both really cool and rational. But after I ship them, as I re-reading these chapters, my only thought is - they are really similar in so many ways.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first time law appeared in front of luffy resemble Robin first appearance on going merry so much. I mean did you see their aura?! did you see the both cross their leg?! did you see them saying "we are bad ass" on their face?! did you see they are both wearing their signature hat?! Bepo is even doing Robin's pose (face resting on their hand) They are both so cool T-T
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If I'm Law here, seeing Robin falling from the sky like an angel, I will 100% falling for her. Plus, she's the only person from straw hats recognize him. He probably recognize Robin right away too he just didn't say it because straw hats got famous after Eneis Lobby. And Robin is the devil child for 20 years, so he probably already know her and her background. Maybe he alliance with straw hats, just to get closer with Robin (jk)
Let's fast forward to Punk Hazard! Chapter 663: Reunion two years later
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tashigi probably asked herself: What's wrong with this couple?! Why they need to threaten me like that?! LOL Again, they are really similar when the marine gets in their way. Show no mercy. Reading this makes me feel like Law (Sabaody -> Punk Hazard) = Robin (Alabasta).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Law also saves Luffy in Marineford like Robin did in Alabasta, it also happends before they join or alliance with Luffy. They both save Luffy because he's a D. (I just assume, they both said something about D after saving Luffy).
I always think did Oda make them similar on purpose? I think Oda didn't make them similar on purpose before Dressrosa. He probably just reusing some of the plots but accidentally make them so compatible together. Why would I think that? one of the reasons is there are so many Franky x Robin moments in Punk Hazard. If the source I read is correct, Law and Robin get popular during and after Dressrosa and I think that's the reason why there are more lawbin interactions later on. Not that I think Oda really care popular opinion, it's more like why not since they are so similar?! just my opinion tho.
I blab a lot again, I will show more moments later on about Law Punk Hazard vs. Robin Alabasta!
Tumblr media
Once they met again, Robin is again the first one know his name and know he became a warlord. She also probably read the news that how he became a warlord. Hence, that's why she is worried when Luffy alliance with him. But as time passed, she definitely changed her perspective on Law gradually. As you see here, she is still very cautious about him. But once she learned that he healed Luffy, she surprised, a pirate treated another pirate without purpose?! maybe in Robin's mind, Law isn't a really bad pirate to her anymore.
Chapter 668: Alliance
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Robin looked super worried here. Although maybe Law isn't a really bad pirate to Robin, she probably thinks he is still a very dangerous pirate that's why she warned Luffy about him. It's kind of funny to me though, she just says it in front of him, screaming "I don't trust you bro" lol Luffy is even funnier - "Are you gonna betray me?" "No" Ok we good haha To be honest, I'm not against with the Luffy and Robin are siblings theory because they are really similar in some way. Anyways, Robin still trust Luffy no matter what, so I think from this moment, she is also trying to trust Law like Luffy did. This scene also reminds me so much when Robin joins the crew. The crew is very cautious and Luffy just said "She isn't a bad guy" - The coincidence LOL. Ok I changed my mind maybe Oda made them similar on purpose. Law & Robin also are the ones who initiated a relationship with Luffy. And it happens rarely to Luffy since he is always the one who picks his crew. And Robin is the only straw hats who asked to join the crew and not Luffy asking her.
Tumblr media
~LAWBIN ALLIANCE PHASE~
Chapter 668: Alliance Starts!
Tumblr media
Law and chopper moment and mammy Robin didn't against with it haha. She is giving me the *Please take my son carefully* vibe and Law *panics*.
Tumblr media
From here, Law and Robin starting to show their similarities in personality and experience wise. They both paid a lot of attention to what the world government do and both very analytical. One of the optwt accounts also comment about lawbin “it’s not about how many scenes they are together, it’s mainly about what they have in common” which I agree a lot!
Chapter 669 ~ 677: Same cage as Alabasta
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again - angel fallen from heaven?! How can you not fall for her?! Robin also told Luffy to be quiet about the kidnap, seems like she accepted their alliance and starting to follow Law's plan. From scale 1 - 100%, I would say Robin trusted Law 20% here.
Tumblr media
Rare scene of Robin calling "Law" instead of "Tora-o". When I read this, I feel like Robin is impressed of Law's ability already. Feel like she always has been (in Wano too), it's definitely a handy ability for her in so many ways.
Tumblr media
Robin and Luffy reminiscing Alabasta moment - one of the proof that Punk Hazard is so similar to Alabasta even they said so haha. If that's the case, I think Oda really make Law so similar to Robin on purpose (scratch the part I said earlier). Even their clothes are similar in some way. Robin's jacket is leopard pattern which is similar to Law's hat, jacket and jeans pattern. Also, Law's animal resemblances are spotted seal and snow leopard. (but this arc released before Law's animal revelation so probably just coincidence)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Law, I know this woman is really pretty, you don't need to keep looking at her. (jk I think he's looking at franky haha)
Tumblr media
And Law cares about Chopper even they just met T-T he used his power to throw a paper to Chopper and remind him to not risk himself. Seriously, who the hell say he is mean to chopper? (i'm gonna have my rage again)
Chapter 694 ~ 696: Party
Tumblr media
This scene really reminds me of Robin a lot haha saying scary things in a clam manner. If I really need to pick a difference, Law dark thoughts are more logical though, he is just stating the fact. Robin dark thoughts are more creative haha.
Tumblr media
Law this moment also reminds me of skypeia Robin - when she suggests Luffy to be careful but of course turns out he didn't listen to them anyways. and Law & Robin panic hahaha.
Tumblr media
That's why Punk Hazard Law is basically Alabasta Robin + when Robin trying to blend in with the straw hats. He is still trying to learn how Luffy acts and building trust between them just like what Robin did back then.
That's the end for Punk Hazard! I thought it would be shorter because they only have a few moments but yea I blab a lot LOL In conclusion, I would say Law and Robin is still in Stranger -> Ally phase. Robin and Law barely trust each other in this arc. But I think during this arc, they found out their personality and thoughts are similar. Hence, that's lead to the huge development of their relationship in the next arc. At least, Robin saw Law did what he plans, helped them save the kids even he didn't need to and didn't betray them after they caught Ceaser. She definitely started trusting him more, maybe 40%? haha
I definitely need a bit time to re-read Dressrosa. So the next analysis probably take some time! anyways, thanks for reading again!! always feel free to let me know your thoughts <3

Thank you for answering my “how much did it impact mihawk” question. I kinda felt similar but wasn’t sure how to say it and you did so perfectly. I just never read mihawk as someone who would hide or be unable to understand his emotions/feelings? For me he always felt straight forward, not ambiguous. He has mystery around him with his past, but I think maybe it can easily be confused with him having the same mystery in his personality. I don’t know, it’s mine reading of this character, definitely bored and not hiding it. The same I don’t find confusing why he left marineford and didn’t fight shanks? I heard many theories, but I genuinely think it’s exactly the reason he said. Not part of the deal. I like him for being this blunt tbh, it could be easy to just make him speak in riddles but he’s not? Does that make sense? You would expect this type of character to have hidden motives or something going on but he seems too open about what he think for that?
I also wonder how his story in cross guild is going to end. For years everyone were expecting mihawk to either join RHP or be the past RHP swordsman, so that was unexpected to a lot of people. I do find it interesting how we saw entire cross guild in the execution, did it mean anything or just “oh it’s them bye” moment? Doflamingo I think was also there and people do think he will join cross guild, so it could be symbolic. I really don’t see another reason for mihawk to be in cross guild other than to get him to fight Zoro at the end but hey, maybe you have different ideas? Past rivalry with shanks seems to be a stretch rather than a reason, whatever you consider them true friends (not sure about that ) or still rivals (also not sure). I’m actually not really sure about this whole relationship there and whatever that rivalry meant in grand scheme of one piece things? Maybe just to make shanks seem cool idk. I have no idea why people are still so hang up on whoever is stronger, since we don’t see it going anywhere? But maybe you do and see the reason. First of all we would still need mihawk backstory which some parts got revealed in SBS so a lot of people got scared he will not be fully fleshed out.
Well it gotten long. Your thoughts just always make me think even more. Sorry for bothering you!
Not bothering me at all! Thanks for sharing. I agree 100%; Mihawk is reserved, sure -- he has his rocky past, things he keeps to himself -- but he's not the type of character to necessarily hide or lie. He just has trust issues.
About where Cross Guild is going: I think it would be so fun if Doflamingo or even Moria joined the fray, whether as members or just those with ties to the Cross Guild. Oda did tease Crocodile and Doflamingo's shared past and Doflamingo's desire to team up with him during Marineford, but I'm not sure if he would do that now knowing Buggy is the figurehead of the organization. In general, though, I think Oda's main intention with Cross Guild being at Roger's execution is to show how monumental of a moment in time it was. Many prominent characters in the story were present, too (Dragon, Shanks, Smoker, Doflamingo) -- not just them. It's a cool way to tease Cross Guild's future role, but I don't think the panels are there just for us to go, "Hey, look, those people I recognize!" Roger's execution was a world-changing event that set forth the journeys of all these characters, Luffy included, and having them present for it makes that feel real.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for why Mihawk is still in Cross Guild... well, because he chose to be. Crocodile's plans spiraled out of control due to Buggy's influence, but Cross Guild was always intended to be a joint-endeavor between them both. I don't think Mihawk explicitly wants a "utopia" and a "strong military state," but the establishment of those things would provide him with the quiet, peaceful life he's always wanted.
And finally, your point about Mihawk and Shanks' rivalry. Honestly, I just think Oda is the kind of writer who likes multi-purpose exposition. He doesn't want to tell you information -- he wants to show it, in interesting ways which further build his world and interconnect the characters within it. Their rivalry is a perfect example. Through this moment and Mihawk's fight with Zoro, Oda organically shows us that Mihawk is an extremely powerful character looking for someone worthy of fighting him, and that he has ties to many other powerful forces in-universe. Not only that, it kicks off this recurring idea that Shanks follows Luffy's journey from a distance, only intervening where he sees fit. It also leaves the door open, adds intrigue -- will they fight again? If so, why? As you mentioned, though, people are hung up on who is stronger instead, which was certainly not his intention.
I mean, look at Oda's response to those sorts of questions. He doesn't care. He will troll you just for asking.
Tumblr media
I don't think Oda is going to sideline Mihawk -- but then again, Law got an entire arc for his backstory, while Kidd's was relegated to an SBS response (although my fingers are crossed for Elbaf). Crocodile's backstory also really isn't at the forefront yet, but Oda exploring those two together would make a lot of sense, considering they're both disillusioned, cynical men with trust issues. Either way, Mihawk still has more to do.

I'm finally making progress on my event so hopefully tomorrow I'll have results but no promises because I get home an hour later and have to vote at an HOA right after so I'll be even later than usual getting home (for context, normally, when I get home and start writing immediately I can finish a chapter/one shot just before I need to shower and go to bed IMMEDIATELY with minimal distractions. Same for art pieces actually. It's unfortunate but it is what it is).
The rest is me rambling about an OC story ideas
In the meantime, while I've been at work, I've been trying to decide what I like better for Nikia's story. Mostly because I'm bored to tears and there's only so many reddit stories you can listen to before your brain melts. Specifically the growing up and how/why she runs into WBP.
At first I wanted it to be on her first mission that would start her career as an Elite Ranger, which has a slew of requirements above just being a regular ranger. It would also net her her own cabin and the most freedom of schedule and movement. Elite Rangers don't usually manage your groups or host outside of emergencies because they need to leave at a moments notice to take care of disturbances. But that didn't give her much time to be good at what she does enough to be an unknown at Marineford, though I teased the idea of her low-key revealing herself before ultimately deciding she'd never land at Marineford cause she wouldn't touch that shit with a 10 foot pole.
So I thought a decent way to bring WBP to her is them taking the island under their control by absorbing the pirates that previously claimed the island under their protection. It wasn't long before I decided it would be a nice, cute backstory if her mother was rescued by said pirates when Nikia was young so the captain ended up being her father figure. And it would be nice is he was old friend with Whitebeard though they don't talk much since he settled down a little to keep near his new favorite island.
I was thinking the "Many Hands Pirates" or "Clover Pirates" as their specialty is knowing someone for any job. Really low-key and social. They're the ones that organized the personal security force on the islands into what it is today--which is terrifyingly efficient and low-key, as well as the concept of Elite Rangers.
Anyway, they're the ones who deliver the bad news to Nikia about Teach and whatnot and are shocked at her reaction. As well as the ones that take her to Marineford knowing damn well she'll be about cloud height and ready to take whatever shot she needs to while everyone else catches up.
Prefers that, actually, because while he doesn't have those old fashioned "keep women out of the fight" ideas, he doesn't want his adopted daughter to be fighting Marines either. He taught her to fight dirty and hit hard for a reason damnit!
That and I wanted a really sweet moment where Thatch gets a little shovel talk and Whitebeard gets tetchy so he looks at him and says "You look after your kids, let me look after mine... By the way, I don't give a shit who your father is, make her cry like that again or string her along and I'll wear your balls for a coin purse."
Or maybe I just grew up around too many people with pig farms so my idea of protective is a tad intense. Idk.
Anyway, the idea of her growing up with an off and on again pirate father seemed fun. There to look into her milestones and provide a unique perspective.
Also I get to have a weird fertility/sexual health festival where someone (maybe Thatch) commits a faux pa of asking for the berries specifically harvested at the very start (which is only picked by of age/began puberty girls/women). It's a faux pa because they're very obvious symbolism and meant only to be eaten by the one that picks them or the one that they intent to have "fruitful relations" with. Given freely, of course. So asking is INCREDIBLY BOLD and depending on how old the girl is, INSANELY CREEPY AND INAPPROPRIATE as the berries have sexual health benefits as well as (believed) aphrodisiac qualities, but like... Chocolate does. Unless you're already DTF odds are you won't feel anything.
Anyway, Nikia gets very flustered and horrified and it's up to her father to explain why that was a terrible thing to ask outright. Let alone in public and they're lucky everyone knows they're strangers to the festival and asked someone at least of appropriate age.
There's a special part of the festival before dawn where the berries still attached to flowers are picked by those mourning mothers passed in childbirth who carry them from the hill all the way to the water (beach or cliff, haven't decided) to give the unripe fruit to the sea, picked before their time. Mostly because I wanted Ace to get to have a moment where he properly, openly honors his mother and it makes sense to have a moment of memoriam for women who passed like that in a festival meant to encourage sexual health and well-being in primarily women.
This festival takes place in the first part of January to open a new year and prepare the land/people for spring. Specifically when a large part of the snow melts on Winter Island and over waters the Snowmelt Berries, making the usually spicy berries very ripe, juicy, and sweet. Prone to popping in your hand so it's quite messy but also the reason there are so many damn bushes on Winter Island. It's impossible to overforage these berries, they grow to fast and so many. The snow quickly returns at the end of the month, halting the rapid growth the island had previously been enjoying.
Summer Island feels like fall/winter during this time and usually gets a bit of snow lol

Sometimes i remember how a lot of people were surprised that oda would go the destiny chosen one route as if luffy hasn't been shown to be the chosen one from the beginning like, how much in denial can ppl be?!😭😭
Like there are way too many moments in the story that show that luffy is the chosen one let's start:
Luffy surviving being almost beheaded by buggy by a lightning strike,we still don't know if dragon did that so I'm counting this too,him surviving that felt like the heavens intervening, smoker says as if the world wants him to survive.
The constant comparisons to Roger, constant mentions of how lucky he is.He is the son of the revolutionary Dragon, the grandson of Garp,I'm mentioning his family bc his family is the reason he's so strong and talented,he inhereted it from them,as garp was saying in marineford that luffy was really born with it just like dragon and him and ivankov mentioned it too.
Tumblr media
He has the voice of all things, the comparisons to joyboy, whitebeard saying that luffy is the one roger is waiting for and the one who will carry the history on his shoulders and find the one piece.
He is a d clan member, has Roger's hat, everyone that meets him says that he is special. It is also said that the d people are destined for greatness.
The mayor of Luffy's town talking about if Luffy's dream of becoming a pirate is his dream or his destiny?
Tumblr media
When luffy was about to leave for fishman island rayleigh seemed to remember roger and his first meeting with him and said that "maybe there is no such thing as coincidence in this world,as though it was meant to be,mysterious bonds slowly but surely weave their forms".
Him having the same dream as Roger.
In fishman island it was prophesied that luffy will destroy fishman island and that will happen someday whether luffy knows it or not so idk why everyone is so surprised and heated that he's the chosen one and how he's not free lmao why did no one have a problem with this back in fishman island lmao😭😭
Then there is the prophesy of oden in which he says that joyboy will come to wano and what did luffy do he fucking came lmaoo😭😭He told toki she has also been searching for the day the world is overturned and said to her to just jump to 20 years and it will happen.
Yamato talking to Momonosuke about how out of all the pirates as numerous as the stars in the sky you happened to meet him and brought him to this country and said that she can only consider this as an act of fate.
Tumblr media
Ppl saying that fate doesn't exist in one piece are straight up in denial,it has been mentioned a lot ESPECIALLY in wano.
Even with zoro, when he was fighting king, hyogoro and kawamatsu were talking about how he looks just like ushimaru and ryuma right down to their sword handling that it's uncanny, they were talking about how this young man was the one to finally return shusui to wano. How it must be fate at work after all ryuma was also a one-eyed swordsman.
Tumblr media
And now that it's confirmed that Ushimaru is the great uncle of Zoro and that Zoro is a descendant of Ryuma it makes this even funnier lmaoo😭You absolutely CAN NOT say that him being related to these ppl did not help him bc it fucking did lol he is destined to do this,I'm not saying he didn't train bc we all know he did but his talent was also there. For me he leans on talent more than hard work but that's just MY opinion. As for luffy he is without a doubt more talent than hard work(I'm not saying he didn't train we know he did).
Zoans are confirmed to have a will of their own which hints at the possibility of Luffy's fruit choosing him.Awakened zoans have the user be consumed by the fruit's animal, like for ex with luffy when he is in his awakened form he exudes contagious joy and tends to laugh more, feels light,(we know he doesn't get fully consumed like the jail beasts in impel down but he is not fully himself either)in short he acts like his fruit's animal, not so free now huh luffy lmaoo😭😭
Luffy literally is Joyboy and has a god fruit, how much clearer can Oda be lmao😭

[Fiction] From Caged Marines to Whitebeard Pirates - Chapter 2
"Enter!" Inhaling another deep breath and it exhaling slowly, Monkey D. Luffy, Granddaughter of Monkey D. Garp, Daughter of Monkey D. Dragon, sworn sibling of Portgas D. Ace and Outlook Sabo, daughter figure of Akagami Shanks, and the youngest Rear Admiral to be ever known, entered the office with a dreadful feeling she always had when entering the meeting room. Luffy closes the door behind her and then walks towards the table, that was placed in the center of the room, where the Fleet Admiral is sat, reading some reports. Sitting down at the chair on his left, Luffy grabs the pen that was already placed in front of the seat and began to twirl it around her hand as she waited for her superior to talk and talk he did.
"How's your time here in the Marineford?" He asked.
"Stuffy." She answered as she watches the pen's movement. Sengoku looks up from his report upon hearing her answer and took notice of the clothes she is wearing. When he saw an embroidered bleeding rose on her shirt he sighed.
"You and your crew only visit this place three times a year ever since you've been assigned to G-6, though it was a condition to do so when you agreed to lead the base, you could at least pretend that you missed or be happy in this place." He stated. The Rear Admiral glance at him with a neutral expression.
"And we are also forced to stay here for at least 3 weeks minimum, so I don't see the point of missing this place. Besides, did I agree to become a marine willingly?" She asked Sengoku sighed in defeat making her hum. "Right and only Vice-Admirals are allowed to lead a base in the New World and yet here I am, a Rear Admiral with a base inside the New World. A base that forced on me by the World Government, by him, you still want me to pretend to be happy?"
"No, and for that I am sorry." He muttered. It broke his heart whenever he talks to Luffy. She was a sweet girl when she first met her, reminding him of his Rosinante. And now, she is nothing but an empty shell, only to live when she and her chosen crew is away from the headquarters, probably if she's with them as well. Of course, he had no one to blame for the change but himself, the marines, and the world government alone. Maybe it was a good decision for her to be transferred to G6 as no one will watch over her there, not even a surveillance den-den mushi is installed in there as ordered by a… tenryuubito (it didn't matter if it made some marines, aka, Akainu suspicious), add with the fact that the base was located in the New World, where marines with ranks lower than Vice-Admirals aren't allowed, and a few islands away from G5.
Additionally, a base that can only be found using an Eternal Log Poses as New World Log Pose is pretty much useless when searching for the base as they won't be directed to the island, no matter how many log pose is used and even with or without intention to look for the said island, the results are zero. How the Marines or the World Government found it, Sengoku will never know and he very much appreciate it to be that way as he knew he won't like it. There's also the fact that only a few people had the Eternal Log Pose for that Island; Himself, the Rear Admiral and her crew, the Elders and the Tenryuubito, who had ordered of no surveillance den-den mushi installed in the base
"Senny," Luffy drawled out, said Marine hummed as he fixed his paper. "What is it that you want to talk to me about?" Sengoku cleared his throat before putting his papers to the side and lean his elbows to the table, intertwining his fingers together, and looked at her.
"He requested for you to visit him when you leave for your base tomorrow, your crew, however, is to stay on the ship." He stated. Luffy, for the first time since she arrived in the office, looked at him in the eyes and smirk darkly, eyes dull.
"By request, you mean ordered, Sengoku." She said, the Fleet Admiral merely sighed in defeat. Luffy looked at the Fleet Admiral's expression, before looking at the table. "Fine. We will visit Mariejois."

OKAY OKAY SO first of all i already said this in dms but you're right reading marineford first is an insane decision for many reasons. but at the same time i bet it has given you a fascinating introduction to the story so i respect it
putting the rest under read more because i have never been concise in my life and i was not about to start today, clearly
secondly, the law-cora-sengoku dynamic is something alright. imagine the family dinners. i STILL haven't reached the sengoku bit in dressrosa (the person i'm watching with is away for the weekend so we have made no progress), but i cannot WAIT to see him and law in a scene together. what an awkward foundation for a relationship. would be even more awkward in the benefits universe where law has to call up sengoku and be like "hey so about that."
(who am i kidding, law is absolutely NOT calling up sengoku. cora might, eventually, but tbh i think the funnier option is that he stalls long enough that he gets a wanted poster simply by association with the heart pirates, and sengoku has his peaceful morning perusal of the newspaper interrupted by his Definitely Used To Be Dead Son's picture among the bounties. and under that name? seriously?)
(...okay maybe the name thing isn't that surprising.)
ALSO FHKDLGFDHJ YOU'RE SO RIGHT the sanji-zoro-kuina dynamic is diametrically opposed. they just each have some very deeply ingrained beliefs and views that make them incapable of getting along. zoro knew this was going to happen. he was dreading this day. nami is patting him on the back in solidarity but secretly she's glad he's getting a taste of what he and sanji are like to the rest of the crew on any other day.
though of course to be fair sanji is NOT an active participant in the fights, but that obviously makes kuina even more mad, and it's a whole vicious cycle. honestly, i think in the actual canon source material that's a difference they Couldn't get over, not with how sanji is. but it's MY fic and I choose the characterization i can bend to my will, so. they can get some mutual understanding. as a treat.
THE LAWLU FAE THING OKAY. okay. see in my mind the defining things about fae are the real name thing, the food thing, and the (not) lying/promises. and law fits them all in a pretty conventional fae sense. but LUFFY oh my god. he ALSO fits them all but like very to the left. this is a guy who introduces himself by his full name to anyone he meets. he doesn't give a shit about any conventions, or convoluted dynamics, or lies by omission. but most importantly he believes in freedom so strongly that the idea of owning someone or being owned by someone is just... inconceivable to him.
in the reverse scenario law is just trying to, hell, throw his hands up and give up on his life by quite literally handing it over to someone else. but he just HAPPENS to stumble upon the world's most unconventional fae who doesn't want that, thank you very much, and gives him a nickname, and won't leave him the fuck alone to try it with someone else either. (and law just thinks he's a minor nuisance, one of those faeries who cause small-scale mischief, right up until he gets a demonstration of just how powerful luffy really is, and then. then he's just more confused tbh)
cannibalism 🥰🥰🥰 see i'm not very good at writing doomed relationships - i like my happy endings, i can't imagine myself getting motivated enough to writing a fully tragic story, or even heavy angst - but my god is there ever something so tasty about the concept, especially in the way you described it skhgfrjdhkf. especially with zoro and sanji (a guy who made protecting his crew his entire life's mission, and a guy who is shown time and time again to be self-sacrificial to a fault), and they both have this NEED to keep the other safe, but in this scenario, these are incompatible goals. and they are not exactly the sort to sort stuff out with ~healthy communication~, so it festers. they resent each other for pushing it, and themselves for being in this situation, and if only i had been better, then it wouldn't be like this in the first place-
(anyway if i ever write this it will not be anything nearly as dramatic. my writing brand is generally lighthearted with maybe a few deep conversations thrown into the mix. but by god its fun to think about)
I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKE MY IDEAS MAN...... i'd be absolutely happy to talk about them more, as you can tell i cannot keep my mouth shut ever :D also oh my god "blessing the narrative" THATS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS....... luffy has changed everyone around him on such a fundamental level that even if he doesn't remember anything, everyone who does will go on to cause every ripple effect ever. they're changing this damn world for the better now that they know how it goes, because it's the right thing to do, and also because their captain/friend/saviour/etc will be so disappointed if they don't. (i have precisely one scene drafted for this idea, and it's robin talking to cora on minion island. yes i may be a little obsessed with letting cora live, but in my defence he deserves it.)
(also the cora and ace resurrection shenanigans are, indeed, cora-and-ace resurrection shenanigans. yes it's unrealistic. yes it makes less sense. but you're damn right it compels me too. i just. i really don't like characters dying okay-)
ANYWAY THIS ALSO GOT VERY VERY LONG BUT THANK YOU SOSO MUCH THE OPPORTUNITY TO YELL IS ALWAYS VERY APPRECIATED <333
i think i would go insane for literally any of the fics u mentioned in the tags of that post??? SEQUEL TO THE BENEFITS OF DRINKING WITH STRANGERS???????? (i read that fic twice in a row the first time) i would love to see the interplay between sanji's ideals/hangups and shimotsuki "i take no bullshit" kuina. sanji offering himself up in the most literal sense to feed someone else. listen the cannabalism as an act of service. help im losing my mind. also i can only imagine the degree of "????????" going through ace's mind every step of the way through a lesson in changing the world. dude im going to be thinking about this Forever. that's not even half of what you've got going through my brain
OH DUDE THIS IS SO NICE OF YOU DHEJDKEKJD I WILL BE USING THIS AS MOTIVATION
benefits is def one of my favourite things i’ve ever written (i LOVE cora SO MUCH) so i really want to write that one! i’m at the very end of the dressrosa arc in the anime by now so im just looking forward to the sengoku scene, because i want to like get the vibes before i write his and rosi’s reunion yknow
the sanji and kuina thing oh my god i have that fic half written, but then i went insane about marineford and temporarily lost the drive, but i still maintain that the concept of it would be SO FUN to explore. kuina and sanji just fundamentally Can’t Get Along with how sanji is in canon, and zoro is in the middle of that particular clash…
CANNIBALISM AS AN ACT OF SERVICE OH MY GOD……. you know. vampire stuff is so normalised in our storytelling that i do not instinctively consider it cannibalism. but holy shit you’re right it fucking is and oh my god hold on there’s something about zeff here- AHEM point is cannibalism as an act of service is always a beloved trope i need to think about this more.
and yes it’s SO funny to imagine how confused ace is throughout a lesson in changing the world, i am Really excited to write that one. there’s a lot of stuff from his pov that the marines wouldn’t know about, like the whole luffy and the prisoners on a warship thing, but especially the thought process he’s going through in the time leading up to his execution and up on the platform is SOOO interesting to think about, so im excited :D
ANYWAY OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH AND IF YOU THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW because i always want to yell about my ideas or other people’s ideas!!!!

- Maybe it’s like you said. Maybe there is something out there that explains why, no matter what, I still want to be here with you. I will always ... always ... want to be here with you.
- So what? You’re just gonna ignore everything else? You could be anything, anywhere. Why not go somewhere where your ... where your grandson is more than just ... this?

more thoughts under the cut < 3 (includes more explicit spoilers about the movie btw)
I have so many feelings about Garp and Ace’s relationship .... it made me think of parallels between them + Evelyn and Joy in EEAAO
The AU doesn’t follow the movie exactly but Ace become Jobu Topaki-esque because in his universe (the Alphaverse), Luffy actually dies at Marineford instead and that’s what splits his mind across the multiverse. Ace blames both himself and Garp for Luffy’s death, and upon learning about the existence of other universes + giving into his subsequently amplified self-hate, trauma, and nihilism, he starts reaching out to other multiverses to keep himself and Garp away from Luffy out of a deeply misguided desire to protect him.
But much like EEAAO, the reality is that Ace is searching for a Garp in the multiverse that understands his feelings self-hatred and pain and anguish and loss. Removing himself and Garp from Luffy’s life is ultimately secondary to this.
Luffy actually kind of turns out to be the Waymond of this. He is the one, out of his bright optimism and ways he finds happiness in the small things, who shows Garp (and eventually Ace), that there is a life worth living out in the world and there's hope and love out there for them too.
Sabo's also here but he fits multiple roles. Him in the Alphaverse is close to Alphaverse Gong Gong (seeing it necessary to remove/kill Ace for the sake of the multiverse's stability, and so the Everything Bagel doesn't consume everything), but him within the Protagonistverse fills in the role of Waymond as well. Not as much as Luffy, but he does want to save Ace in the Protagonistverse rather than kill him.
The Protagonistverse version (so the version we follow) of Garp, I like to imagine, quit the Marines to raise Ace and Luffy on Dawn, and ofc Sabo showed up along the way. But the sort of Gong Gong-esque force that drives him is the sort of concept of him questioning if it was the right decision to leave the Marines behind and if the Marines ever was actually a good choice in the first place considering how they acted when he decide to retire (also the whole thing of him taking in Ace + having to hide it from them), and him still sort of enforcing his idea of Luffy + Ace (and maybe Sabo idk) becoming Marines, even though he himself isn't one. Because he has an actual presence in Luffy and Ace's lives rather than just Makino or Dadan or even Shanks, they don't actually ever like, leave to become pirates, but they're not Marines either - they're sort of just civilians, which lends itself to a lot of the mundanity + boredom that Ace and Luffy and Sabo experience. But this also makes Ace stew in his feelings of being undeserving of love and his feelings of being a disappointment more since he doesn't meet Whitebeard. Garp, as much as he loves his grandbabies, is an imperfect guardian - his expectations for the boys (either become a Marine or lead a civilian life) do not help Ace at all and it creates conflict between them since they don’t see eye to eye on anything ):
I’m still trying to figure out Protagonistverse Garp’s entire deal so if this point conflicts with the previous one then Oops but like ... he’s dealing with the boys growing up (they’d be the ages they’d be pre-timeskip, so Sabo and Ace are 20 and Luffy’s 17), their desire for independence while simultaneously wanting to stay close with him bc that’s their grandpa yknow?? He’s also still hiding Ace from the Marines (you could even say he’s hiding Luffy from them bc of Dragon, and he’s hiding Sabo from his parents in Goa too) so the idea of them going off on their own could be so terrifying to him. There’s also the matter of him feeling disappointed in himself for not being as good a grandfather as he could’ve been - wondering if he’d raised the boys well - and even like ... the Marine side of things potentially being disappointed or angry at him for trying to raise these boys only for them to become pirates. And kind of like how Evelyn questions her decision to leave her family to be with Waymond, Garp questions his decision to leave the Marines to raise Luffy and Ace and Sabo ..... THERES LAYERS, OKAY.
I’m not sure who the Deirdre of this would be either. I am imagining Sengoku though but the lead up to him showing up in Garp’s life again considering my ideas is up in the air right now. Part of me thinks he’s showing up at Dawn as a half-favor and half-last ditch attempt to get the ASL bros to join the Marines. Like, Sengoku is just generally grumpier than Garp and the idea of the two of them ending up together in other universes is so intriguing to me ... also the exchange in the movie of like “it’s unlovable bitches like us who make the world go ‘round” and then the “you’re not unlovable! there’s always something to love!” ..... but with Garp and Sengoku ..... yeahhhhh. Maybe in this case it’s not a divorce tht leads Sengoku to believe that, but instead its a wedge was driven between him and Rosinante bc he’s putting his Marine duties before his family like Garp had been doing........ hmmmmmm!!!!
I have more thoughts about this AU but this is all I’m gonna write under this lol. I might actually write a fic of this heehee we’ll see! ur free to like, send asks about stuff btw im down to answer any. 🤷

an ode to luffy and zoro and the passage of time. i wrote this a while ago and recently edited it enough to feel comfortable posting here! it started as a relationship analysis then kind of got away from me, but i hope you enjoy my little thoughts and headcanons nonetheless
(will start under the cut)
they still fit
the thing about zolu is that their intrinsic understanding of one another allows them to communicate with each other without the use of actual words. which on one hand is like so romantic on its own bc goddam u love someone so much u know them or what they want just with a glance but on the other hand can also lead to problems bc. well as much as they know each other there are gonna be things that NEED to be said, but therein lies the problem. because they’re so used to not having to say anything that if a situation came where they ever had to actually explain themselves to the other i imagine it would not go very smoothly. because luffy is not really one to talk about highly emotional things and zoro is not one to talk in general. and that’s why they work bc neither of them cares for the whys or hows they just DO. sometimes, though, for things to work you HAVE TO TALK and they’re not used to that.
so like post timeskip when they’re reunited and still trying to get used to everyone being around again i’d imagine a lot of things would go unsaid between zoro and luffy bc they both had their fair share of things to deal with over the two years they were separated. luffy and impel down and marineford and ACE god. ace. and zoro and mihawk and his training and the baboons. monkeys. whatever. and they both have new scars that the other hasn’t seen and they’ve both grown in multiple ways and i think they both realize that they won’t fit like they used to. everything is different and new and it’s not BAD per say but it’s. weird. they don’t want to talk about it because they’ve never NEEDED to talk about it before and starting now would mean that they’ve changed, would make it real. but now it’s like there are so many things that they just don’t know about each other anymore and they don’t know how to feel about that.
it’s not horrendous and doesn’t impede on the group dynamic at first because they figure time will sort them out as it usually does, but i’d imagine their relationship does become a bit strained bc as much as they trust each other to do what they need to do, it’s hard to have full confidence in someone when you haven’t seen them in 2 years and feel like you don’t truly KNOW them anymore.
so they fight and they eat (more so on luffy’s part) and they nap (more so on zoro’s part) but there’s always this niggling feeling that something is not quite RIGHT. that they’ve all filled in the roles they were meant to just like always, but something hasn’t clicked yet. and the rest of the crew feel it too bc as normal as they act, zoro and luffy don’t have that sense of easiness around each other that they used to.
it’s like everything is back where it’s supposed to be, but they’ve grown too big for the holes they left to fill in two years ago. no matter how much they claw and dig, they’re stuck in these places that are meant to be theirs, but are small and uncomfortable and don’t quite manage to hold all that they are now.
i’d imagine that it’d eventually come to a head during battle, where luffy and zoro fall out of sync for the first time since. since EVER and it nearly costs someone their life and they KNOW that. everyone is fine in the end but the idea that them not understanding each other enough that it caused them to mess up when it really counted scares them.
and maybe it’s nami or maybe it’s sanji or maybe it’s all of them, everyone else, but they can’t take this weird in-between their captain and first mate have fallen into, so they put them somewhere, tell them to “FIGURE IT OUT.” and leave them.
and it’s quiet. all those times of ‘not having to say anything’ leave them scrambling in this moment, because now there are words that NEED to be said but they don’t know what or how to say them, and so they’re quiet. but luffy’s never been good with silence or stillness and so he does what luffy does best, meaning whatever he feels like in the moment.
he just scooches a bit closer, traces the scar bisecting zoro’s eye, and zoro lets him. doesn’t flinch or question it, just accepts his fate as he’s always done when it comes to his captain and allows luffy to do whatever he wants, because then it must be what zoro wants too.
then luffy places a palm on zoro’s chest, over the scar mihawk gave him two years ago (the scar that sealed zoro’s fate, tied him to luffy’s will forever) and follows it with his fingers, from collarbone down to where his haramaki prevents his hand from going any further. his gaze is pensive but tender, and his touch is so soft and fleeting—gentle in a way zoro didn’t know his captain could be.
he brings his hand back up to zoro’s chest and rests it over the swordsman’s heart, lets it stay there for a moment. luffy watches his own hand on zoro’s chest, as if trying to see through his skin to the heart that’s beating a steady rhythm underneath. zoro watches luffy through it all, so he catches the captain’s quiet smile, as if he’s content with what he’s found hidden between zoro’s ribcage.
luffy draws his hand back after a minute to place it over his own scarred chest (over the starburst pattern that carries deeper pain than just broken nerves and raw skin) and points at his eye, his scar crinkling up with the force of his grin.
“zoro! we match now!”
then he’s laughing that little shishishi of his that sounds mischievous and full of promise and so luffy that zoro can’t help but crack a smile of his own. he chuckles breathlessly, because having luffy smile at him freely once more—without that twinge of unsurety that he’s been sporting ever since they reunited—knocks something around in zoro’s lungs, pushes up up up into his throat and leaves him choking.
it’s love, he realizes. it’s always been love.
it had been driving zoro crazy, that smile that wasn’t really a smile. made him want to grab luffy and shake him by the shoulders, made him want to shout “WHAT IS IT? WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET YOU TO STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT?” because zoro really would have done whatever luffy had asked, if it meant things could go back to how they were. but he knew that was impossible and he knew it wasn’t his place to question, so he’d kept his mouth shut and felt a little piece of himself crumble off and die whenever luffy’s hand stalled right before making contact with him.
it was as if luffy didn’t know if he still had the permission to touch, like he didn’t know if zoro still wanted it.
and zoro did want it, he always does. he had really missed the familiarity and trust that came with his captain’s tactility. he simply didn’t know how to formulate the words, how to ask luffy for his hands without feeling just a little bit pathetic.
but none of that matters now because they are here and they are laughing and luffy feels weeks worth of tension slide off his shoulders. he feels his heavy heart snap back into place like his rubber limbs, pumping blood up to his cheeks and nose and maybe a bit too much to his brain too, because he feels lightheaded and airy and free, like he could float away any second. but it’s okay because zoro is wrapping his arms around him and neither of them are going anywhere.
they’ve gotten older and put on some pounds and muscle and scars since they last held each other like this, but that ‘something finally shifts and clicks into place and luffy finds his body still fits perfectly against zoro’s own. it’s as if they had been waiting for each other, had been learning and changing just so they could slide back into place even more snug than before.
he realizes that trying to force themselves to fit into those empty spaces they used to occupy two years ago would never work, doesn’t even know why they kept trying to make it, because they’re different now but that’s a GOOD thing.
the zoro and luffy of two years ago are dead and gone, buried six feet under their grief and anger and loss, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make new places for these new versions of themselves. they’ve grown and changed and that just means there’s more of them for the other to love.
everything’s not perfect, not yet. there’s still things they need to discuss, but it’s definitely a start and that’s better than anything to either of them right now. luffy looks and sees in zoro’s eyes that his swordsman feels the same way.
neither of them have to say it, but they know that things’re gonna be alright, and that’s more than enough.

I know that the baby dragon (roger garp coparents) comics are so silly and fun and i ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM but i was trying to remember all the characters in the crowd in the live action (im only in dressrosa in the anime) and then i thought too much about about your comics and now im SAD!!!
Garp and Roger at the very least being friends and co parents and Garp essentially KILLING HIM in front of DRAGON. Like roger may or may not be his bio dad but thats his PIRATE dad (a la shanks) and that being the dissolution of their family unit. Also fem!croc (possibly) being in the crowd???? Maybe they meet again there. Do you think roger looked at their "son" when he died? Do you think garp couldn't look at him?? And then for garp to stand there on an execution platform with ace???? His friends kid?? His grandson???? But this time instead of standing silently like dragon did, luffy refused to save himself.
And rayleigh, RAYLEIGH couldnt be there in his best friends final moments, couldnt be there for dragon, his nephew/godson/whatever. But finally he was able to help luffy after marineford. Finally he could help his family after so many years, even if luffy didnt know.
Anyways, love your comics and art, its all very fun and cute, even if the implications get me.
Also i guess this wasnt really a question, but i wanted you to know what you inspired in my brain and kinda get your thoughts!
I’m always happy to know that my silly comics get you to think! I do enjoy drawing fun stuff but as you said, most of them have more serious or angsty implications if you do continue spinning the universe a bit.
Like with the Baby on Board comics (the coparenting one) I imagine that even though Roger and Dagon’s relationship starts out easy and light-hearted, there eventually must be a moment where Dragon no longer feels welcome among the Roger Pirates (most likely when he joins the marines at a young age). I can imagine that Garp and Roger both (not very gently) teaching him that choices have consequences – he chose the path of the marine, which means that pirates like Roger will now be his enemy. And Garp is, his situationship with Roger aside, kind of hard-headed about his sense of justice.
Still, in an AU where he spent a portion of his childhood on Roger’s ship, he’d be upset about watching the execution, whether Garp is up there on the execution platform with Roger as in the live action or not. Maybe Dragon has to endure this without having gotten any closure with a man who had once claimed him as a son. And Rayleigh isn’t there to offer comfort or platitudes. Shanks and Buggy are too caught up in their own emotions to spare any thoughts on the feelings of a guy who occasionally looked after them.
I don’t know if it’s a spoiler to you, but we do know that Crocodile was for sure at the execution in the manga/ anime. So at least Dragon wouldn’t be entirely alone. I don’t know exactly which of my AUs the Baby on Board comics apply to (most of them?) but in some of the AUs this would certainly be a moment where Dragon and Crocodile meet/ see each other again/ enjoy a night together, toasting to the old era and welcoming a new one in their own way ;3
So if Dragon wants to drink his complicated feelings away, there’s someone there to do it with, even though I doubt he’d tell Crocodile that he knew the man who died today as more than just the King of Pirates.
And yes, of course I also like the idea of just how the Baby on Board concept would weave the threads of these people even closer together.

interested to know what you're thoughts are on how law's character arc will end in op? his alliance with luffy, his ability to obtain the one piece, anything really.
i'm convinced he's going to die. idk why, and i really feel like it'll have something to do with the eternal life surgery. hopefully i'm wrong! but as resident law lover, i want your opinion!
Hi babe!! thank u for asking! It is a liiiilte bit (a lot) long so I hope you don't mind ♥
Well, first in first I HOPE HE DOESN’T DIE because Idk if I can handle losing him. That being said, let me tell you what I think…
As much as Law tries to hide it, Law is Luffy’s friend. So no need to have an alliance anymore. He has found in Luffy someone who wants the same as him. Law is not interested in the One Piece treasure at all. His true motivations are a little different from being the “pirate king”. Let me tell you why….
Spoilers from “One Piece Novel: Law” (canon) and Manga under the cut. -And a LONG theory -
The novel tells us about what happened after Cora’s death, how Law managed to cure himself and how he ended up meeting Mr. Wolff, Bepo, Shachi and Penguin. In the novel it is stated that Law didn’t really care about being a pirate, but his true reasons to set sail were no other than taking down Doflamingo (What Law believed was Cora’s purpose). So, in order to fulfil Cora’s will he spent two years training not only his df powers but also as a surgeon working at a local hospital. Bepo, Shachi and Pen did the same, of course. So, to be honest, I don’t think Law's first purpose was in no way to become the Pirate King.
After the battle of Dressrosa, once Doffy was defeated and Law spoke to ex admiral Sengoku, he understood that;
First, as we all know, Cora’s love was beyond any type of revenge or plan against Doffy.
And then, the unknown meaning of the D. That meaning he was probably not really interested in until he saw how Doffy reacted knowing he was a D. And of course I’m sure he asked himself a lot about why Luffy has the same secret name? Is he supposed to do something similar to Mugiwara-ya? What does that D hide?.
Then, in Wano… he states his intentions to know about the meaning of the D clearly on ch. 995 of the manga. He even asks Robin if she knows about it.
Tumblr media
But, let’s discuss something else here. His relationship with Smoker, X-Drake and Koby. (And ofc his step grandad Sengoku)
So, as you may know before the alliance with Luffy, Law was a Shichibukai right?
So, what happened in the two years of time skip for him to become a warlord? Most of the people accepted the quick explanation that this little emo doctor one day appeared at Marineford with a box of 100 PIRATE hearts and so the marine said “Oh amazing, let’s make him an ouka shichibukai”. Weird, right? Specially when it comes to One Piece. And mainly because how the fuck did they check if those hearts were from pirates? And what does that even mean? Did Law want to show the Marine how strong he was? or...
In the same chapter Law is presented as “Trafalgar D. Water Law, Surgeon of Death & Mastermind of the Rocky Port incident”. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? WHAT HAPPENED THERE?
Tumblr media
So, the only information we have about it till now (+10 years) is that it also involves Koby. Koby was decorated as Hero and Captain of the Marine after that because he “saved many civilians' lives”. So, we could say that if Law was the one who planned the incident and Koby fought in it at least they have met each other -at least once-.
Tumblr media
And of course we all think Law was probably the bad guy, right? But, there are NO proofs of it whatsoever. What if Law AND Koby worked together against the 100 pirates Law left heartless? What if Law is not a real pirate, but perhaps has something to do with the Marine? Maybe the idea of creating this incident was to show fake information to the Marine. One possibility is that they wanted to show Law as a rival to hide his connections with some marines (Koby, X-Drake, Smoker) or maybe just the opposite, like "hey, this guy helps the marine" let's give him the Shichibukai title.
And by this I’m not really saying Law is a Marine. I don’t really think so. But, maybe he has something to do with the S.W.O.R.D. project where Koby, X- Drake, probably Smoker and Tashigi and Kuzan are involved.
From here I think it is important for me to clarify that -in my opinion- there are two sides of the Marine. The “bad guys” who let’s say are represented by Akainu; people who use the word “justice” WRONGLY. Those who work in the Marine just to protect nobles and tenryuubitos. And then the "good guys" those represented by Smoker, Cora, Bellemere, Koby, Garp, X-Drake, Ishoo who fight for TRUE JUSTICE. Even though if that depended on fighting with and not against some pirates.
A good example and I think Oda wanted to show this as a foreshadow of the future big war was these specific moment at Punk Hazard
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marines + SWORD + Pirates together against people sent by Doffy (a former Celestial Dragon). Or even during Dressrosa!
Aaaand what about Law’s relationship with Smoker? Remember how Law saved Smoker ass during his fight against Vergo? Remember how Law told Smoker about Green bit? Why the fuck would Law tell a marine about his plans? There is some info missing here that I hope Oda will enlighten us with it sooner.
Another of the many reasons Law might be involved in the SWORD project is his relationship with X-Drake. Back to Dressrosa arc, specifically during Cora’s flashback, X-Drake literally saved Law’s life indirectly. How? Well… the Ope Ope no mi was stolen by Cora from X-Drake's father. Little Drake was there too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Doffy heard the Marine radio stating they had found a child he thought it was Law and so they escaped. But in reality, the child was no other than X-Drake. Drake was adopted by Sengoku, just as he did with Cora and became a Marine. Drake and Smoker TRAINED together.
And then again, up until the current arc, with the help of Drake I think Law was able to escape Wano prison and attacked Hawkins.
And why would Drake help Law to escape if after all his dad was killed because of the events that involved little Law?... well, maybe because they are more than fellow supernovas… and what's Drake? A marine from Sword like Koby.
(Not to mention how Drake got even with Law because of his past by hitting the shit out of him during the “acting” at Wano prison in from of Hawkins).
So… to not make this text endless (even though I have many other reasons to believe Law is not a pirate at all) I'm sure Law FIGHTS for TRUE JUSTICE (besides him wanting to know about the will of D) for many reasons; 1. To avenge his family deaths, 2. To end up with the endless night the WG has brought into the world… after all he is a D, right?
But if you ask me about what's gonna happen with Luffy? I don't think he will get mad when he learns the truth about his precious Torao. After all Luffy is used to fight with the good marines against injustice! He even accepted X Drake to join them during Wano raid (Ch.990)
Tumblr media
About his possible death, I really hope he doesn’t die, but to be honest, Oda has the power to decide it so… let’s pray this won't happen. And as he said many times “the moment someone makes a theory that’s true I will change it”.
So I could make this theory ENDLESS but for the sake of your sanity I won't go any further hahaha.
Thank u for asking, darling! ♥

The Only Thing I Got Right
Pairings: Ace x Y/N
A/N: I just finished watching the Marineford Arc and I cried so much so I wrote this on a whim. Sorry in advance if there are grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. It's the tears' fault, I swear! 😭 ((I just desperately wanted Ace to survive, you know? 😭))
This song reminds me of Ace, idk why.
Tumblr media
You’re shaking. It would’ve been nice if it was because of the cold or if it was from excitement, but this isn’t the case. You’re shaking from fear, from anxiety. Today, Ace, the love of your life, is going to be executed and you didn’t know if you’d make it on time. You barely got out of Impel Down alive with the help of Ace’s little brother, Luffy.
You hate the fact that you got thrown there with Ace courtesy of Teach, or should you say, Blackbeard. You hate the fact that you couldn’t save Ace from Blackbeard no matter how hard you tried fighting him. It was frustrating, but if a Devil Fruit user like Ace had no match for him, what more of you? You have no powers like that, the only thing that you have is your knowledge on Rokushiki and daggers.
You got imprisoned at Level 3 of Impel Down while Ace was rumored to be on Level 5. Being thrown on a relatively lower level was understandable, even if you are part of Whitebeard’s crew, you are no commander like Ace. Still, even if you are weaker than Ace, you desperately wanted to go get him out of there but it was impossible. Or so you thought.
When you saw a Straw Hat on a male running around with two others on Level 3, you instantly knew it was Luffy. It seemed like god was in your favor because apparently one of your cellmates, who you came to learn was Mr. 2 from Baroque Works, was Luffy’s friend. When he got Mr. 2 out of the shackles, you begged to come with them, telling him your relationship with Ace. Luckily for you, Luffy needed all the help he could get so he easily got you out with the help of the other prisoner he was with. It was all chaos after that.
You’re currently hiding in the crow’s nest of the Marine ship you helped steal alongside Crocodile, Mr. 1, and Jinbei. Your body is already aching from all the running and fighting you did just to escape Impel Down. But even before that, your body had already been tired from the lack of nutrition and of sleep. How could you even dare to sleep knowing Ace was somewhere else, probably beaten to a pulp? And if that wasn’t enough, the sudden knowledge of him being executed in a few hours added more strain and tension to your body. You didn’t want anyone to see you in such a state. You didn’t want anyone to pity you.
But if you’re hurting this much, then it must’ve been so much harder for Luffy. You make a mental note to talk to him before crashing to Marineford. For now though, you need to rest — not only for your body, but for your mind as well. You have to be ready, the worst is yet to come. When you closed your eyes, you welcomed sleep like an old forgotten friend.
Your sleep didn’t last long, however, because of both the nightmare of Ace reaching out for you with bloodied hands and of the waters that suddenly rocked the whole ship. Before you could even get down the crow’s nest, the ship abruptly stilled and the air chilled. When you looked down, you clenched your teeth at the sight of the sea that turned into ice.
A mental clock was ticking like a time bomb in your mind. How were you supposed to save Ace now?
As if hearing your question, Luffy started gathering the people in the ship about his plan. At this point, you would do anything just to get to Ace so you didn’t hesitate to help him in his plan on freeing the ship from the ice. But the next thing you know, you were falling after kicking the thick layer of ice as hard as you can.
Just as you looked down to where you’re supposed to land, you realized that it was Marineford and the war had already started. With a little tilt of your head, you see Ace in the scaffold, shackled up. Worry was etched on his face, his focus on Luffy. You could almost hear him saying how stupid his little brother is.
Was it wrong to smile at the sight of him at a time like this? But how could you not? He’s still alive! You have a chance at saving him. You release a sigh of relief.
You try not to draw his attention to you. He already has a lot to worry about — namely, the Whitebeard pirates, the allied pirates, and Luffy. It was a good decision that you didn’t change out of your prison clothes, it was easier not to get noticed by him this way. For all he knows, you’re just one of the many escapees Luffy helped. You want to keep it that way. At least for now.
There’s no time to waste, so when you landed, you immediately head off to the direction of the scaffold. After seeing that Ace was still alive, you feel yourself get pumped up again. You fight each and every Marine who tries to stop you.
No matter how hard each blow you receive, no matter how painful each swipe of the swords you get, no matter how many times you get knocked down, you keep on fighting. You keep on standing up. There’s only so much your Tekkai could do when you’re severely outnumbered. Nevertheless, you keep on going. Nevermind the multiple cuts and bruises you have. There is only one thing in your mind and that is saving Ace. Even at the expense of your own life.
From the way Luffy fought at Impel Down, you know he’s incredibly strong and tenacious so you find yourself backing him up. You don’t go near him, knowing Ace’s attention was on him, but you guard him from your side. Not a single Marine was able to pass through you from your side of the battlefield. But you can’t cover every area for him. Despite that, he managed to take down anyone who was in his way.
Your ears are ringing from all the overlapping noises of guns being fired, screams of agony from pirates and Marines, swords clanging, and hurried footsteps. At one point, you block all of the sounds while you focus on your own breathing as you run.
Even when everyone stopped moving to watch as Pops descended the Moby Dick and made his move, you continued running. You have to keep up with Luffy. There’s no way you’d let Ace die.
The only moment you actually stopped running was when Luffy unconsciously used the Conqueror’s Haki. So he can do that too, you thought.
That was also the moment you actually got to look at the surroundings properly and realized that Pops had been stabbed. Your knees buck from the sight and you fall down. Regret immediately flooding your body. You’re so focused on trying to save Ace that you didn’t notice Pops needed help too.
The Marines took this opportunity to attack you. Just as a sword was about to hit you, McGuy blocked it.
“What are you doing, Y/N? Snap out of it. This is war. There’s no way we’d be able to rescue Ace if you don’t get your bearings straight!”
The harshness in his tone brought you back to reality. He’s right. Pops ordered everyone to lend their strength to Luffy, and that’s exactly what you’re going to do.
You, along with everyone else, push yourselves to your limits to help Luffy. He did not disappoint. He even punched his own grandfather, Garp, just to be able to reach Ace and free him.
The moment the scaffold collapsed, you almost collapsed with it. Tears start falling from your eyes as you see Ace finally free from his shackles. A smile has finally graced his face as he fought side by side with his brother. At that moment, you think that he’s at his brightest when he’s with his sworn brother. You couldn’t be any more happier.
Now that he is free, it’s time to figure out how to escape. Everyone’s running towards the ships but you stop after noticing Pops wasn’t making the same movement.
“The order I’m about to give will be my final captain’s order!” Pops announces. “You and I will be parting here.”
Your breath hitched at the declaration.
“All of you, make sure you survive, and reunite with each other in the New World!”
You don’t listen to whatever he says next. You refuse to. You stand your ground. You’re not going to abandon the man who warmly accepted you into his family without hesitation despite knowing all of the crimes you committed.
As if sensing your refusal, he turns slightly to your direction, “Are you disobeying your captain’s orders?!”
Stupid old man, he should know by now that you’re no good at following orders.
Ace is one of the last persons to follow his order. You turn away from the conversation they are having, knowing it was a private matter.
When they’re done talking and Ace finally starts running towards the ship, Pops turns to you. He doesn’t talk, he just looks at you.
Shame suddenly overcomes you. You didn’t get to stop Ace from coming for Teach. When he left, you begged Pops everyday to allow you to set sail, promising that you’d bring Ace back. When he finally allowed you, you didn’t waste any time. But even when you found him, you couldn’t bring him back, it was too late and you were just too weak. It was your fault this happened. “Pops, I’m sorry I—”
“I did this. This is all my fault.”
“But—”
He shut you up with his stare.
“Let’s leave here together,” you plead.
But he doesn’t reply. With his stare, you can tell that he isn’t backing down on his order, no matter how much you persuade him to. You release a shaky breath. With tears streaming down your face, you gave one last bow and one last thank you.
And then you ran.
The others are already further away from you but you notice a group of them stopping in their tracks. There in the center of the commotion is Akainu and Ace, seemingly discussing something.
There’s no time for this, you thought.
“—In other words, Whitebeard is an eternal loser, who will never surpass Roger. That’s all he is. Everything I’ve said is the truth,” the admiral says. “He reigned the seas for decades, yet he never became a king or gained anything.”
You clench your jaw at the bullshit he’s spouting, after everything Pops had done to save you, you’re livid to hear him be deduced as a loser. But regardless of the anger rising in front of you, you know this wasn’t the time to get riled up.
The thing is, Ace gets easily riled up. It’s one of his flaws as a person. So when he starts walking to Akainu’s direction, Izo is first to shout, “Don’t fall for it, Ace! Turn back!”
But it’s no use.
That’s when you let your presence known, you shout at the top of your lungs, “Just turn back, Ace!”
Everyone whips their head at the sound of your voice, except Ace and Akainu.
Even you, who are usually able to keep Ace in check, couldn’t snap him out of his anger.
It’s too late.
They exchange blows. Ace falls down, magma is far greater than fire, after all.
“The Pirate King, Gold Roger. Dragon, the Revolutionary. These two men’s sons being stepbrothers is quite a frightening thought.” Akainu says.
When he looks over at Luffy’s direction, you immediately know what he plans to do. You don’t even think twice. There is no second to waste.
“Soru.”
The sound of your voice finally reaches Ace. His eyes widen in realization of what’s going to happen.
“Wait!” He pleads.
But before he could even stand up, you already placed yourself in front of Luffy. “Tekkai.”
But the admiral’s strength and power is far greater than your ability. His fist goes through your chest.
“Y/N!” Ace shouts.
The rest of Division Commanders are in shock.
Akainu clicks his tongue at the sight of you and detaches his fist from your body.
You slump, Luffy catching you in the process. “Oi, Y/N-chan... What did you…? Why did y-you d-do that?” He asks.
In no time, Ace comes to Luffy’s side. “Y/N…”
You smile sweetly at the two men and then you turn to Luffy. “You’re Ace’s brother, silly. Of course I’d do this for you.” You cough out blood and then hiss at the pain.
“Stop talking!” Ace demands.
While Luffy and Ace are distracted, Akainu makes his move once again. But the slight motion didn’t go unnoticed by Jimbei and the Division Commanders. Even if you aren’t a Commander, you acted like Ace’s right hand. To the crew, you’re as important as Ace is. There’s no way they wouldn’t fight for you. So altogether they start covering for the three of you.
You feel your body shutting down on you. You could barely hear Ace calling for a doctor and Luffy desperately asking Ivankov to help you. But you know it’s no use. “I… can tell my body is at its limit,” you whisper.
Ace doesn’t agree, then he gently takes your body from Luffy. “No, I’m going to find someone else who can help—”
“Ace…”
“—you. There’s got to be someone who—“
“Ace… My organs have been burnt. I know this’ll be the end of me.”
“No, don’t talk like you’re dying, Y/N!”
“But I am…” You say. “Look Ace, don’t worry, okay? I was prepared to die when I came here. I was ready to die just to get you out of here.”
“Why would you…”
“Because I love you,” you whisper. “You know… when I take a look at my life and all of my crimes, you’re the only thing that I think I got right.”
Ace hides his face on your neck as he hugs you. With the little strength you have left, you give a comforting squeeze on his shoulder. “Don’t go around disobeying the captain’s order and don’t go around breaking your promise to Luffy. You said you won’t die, right?”
You feel Ace nod at your words.
“Go to the ships and take everyone else. Please don’t follow me too soon.”
Ace hugs you tighter, panting as he continues to cry.
A small smile reaches your lips once again. At least this time he’ll listen, you think. “I can’t raise my voice anymore but please tell Pops and everyone else, even Luffy, they made my life worthwhile. I’m sorry if our journey ends he—”
You didn’t even get to finish your sentence because darkness had consumed you.
