It can be absolutely anything from anywhere, including remixes and other franchises. Hell, it can be from a car insurance commercial or ringtone if that's what you're feeling! But you can only pick the one song (per Rogue Trader), and this song plays during every major character development moment, from triumphant to heartbreak. So what's everyone hearing?

are the characters’ theme songs based more on lyrics relating to their story or just mood/something they’d listen to?

Hope's whole deal is just Florence + the Machine songs. It was hard settling on one that seemed perfect.

Her feelings on losing Clever: Wish That You Were Here Leaving the Grove: Dog Days Are Over Meeting Storm and getting into the whole Traveller philosophy: Drumming Song

Entire theme that sums up Hope and the Red Stone arc for me: Creeping in My Soul by Cryoshell (general reminder to do a promo speedpaint to this)

Long Lost by Lord Huron perfectly sums up Obsidian's feelings towards death and I shall fight to have the chapter dedicated to that called Long Lost. lol

Like with Hope and Florence + the Machine, Aloe's personal soundtrack in my head consists of Within Temptation songs:

TADC AU Theme Songs! Cause Why Not?

I'll be saying the AU, sending the link, and @ing the person who owns the AU as well as gives my reasonings for the theme song. I just think giving some love to AUs would be cool!

Carnival AU - Belonging to @sm-baby - Puppets Never Die Why?: Honestly it's about two people working together to leave a harmful situation and everyone's trying to stop them- it's legit THE plot of this AU. That, plus the voices fit the characters

Freakshow AU - Belonging to @hootbon - Freak Show (PI3RCE) Why?: I legit was listening to this at a grocery store and I was just thinking about this AU listening to it. Aside from the name, it feels like it's trying to lure Freakshow!Pomni into a false sense of security

Horror Circus AU - Belonging to @thc-au - HEAVEN SAYS (MM) Why?: It has the energy of THC!Pomni taunting Caine alongside the other horror circus cast and I adore every moment of that energy. She HAS that mocking energy of "Lmao try to beat us YA CAN'T"

Circus of Hell AU - Belonging to @circus-of-hell - Uh Oh! Why?: It's about making mistakes and calling out being a liar, and although I dunno a LOT about the AU cause I didn't make it, I do know that this seems to be the vibes from this AU so yeah why not?

Corruption AU - Belonging to @rabid-mercenary15 - Sleepwalk Why?: The part of this song that goes 'then it becomes a problem' for some reason gives off SUCH 'the others corrupting' vibes, also it's almost like this is a way to narrate Zooble and Pomni surviving

Ragamaster AU - Belonging to @milezperprower - Happy Face Why?: From the information that I know, this song is fucking PERFECT- specifically for Ragatha in this AU herself. Smile through the pain while being a bitchy girlboss as they say <333

Terrible Circus AU - Belonging to @obamerzslop - Shit Why?: Although it's more of a comedic option, I feel like this song literally just fits the entire vibe of the AU- as if "POV you're in the terrible circus and you hate it here" kind of song- thus why it's here

Lord Namor of Atlantis is the Prince of the Deep

I bring to you terror and joy.

The terror comes from this being the opening to a Gerry Anderson Supermarionation series. The technology to make these shows was amazing, using radio controlled faces with expertly puppeteered bodies to make affordable sci-fi for kids.

The outsized heads and lack of "chibification" however, made them beautifully uncanny. Delicious nightmares made plastic.

The joy is from the jaunty little ending credits tune "My Heart would be a Fireball", a wacky little pop love song in which the singer professes that his love is akin to the ship in the series. And you know how I love a kid's show theme trying really hard to be a pop song.

Also the main character's name is "Steve Zodiac" and not enough shows have the commitment to sparkle motion to do stuff like that these days.

I often struggle with finding songs that would be fitting for my characters or scenes in my stories, but occasionally I find songs that might fit someone if not characters of my own. And with so many reblog games on this website I thought it might be neat to make a post where we can share music that fits a specific vibe and might help someone find songs for their characters.

I don't have many, but here are some

Four Aces - Fish in a Birdcage - this one is pretty straightforward, it's about a man who killed another for shooting his girlfriend/wife after losing a game of cards, and not regretting his actions even after 20 years of hard labor. I rather like the chorus part: No, I'm not innocent And I would do it all again The devil earned his sin Wrapped in that worthless waste of skin I'll never forgive him I'll never forget I'll never forgive him For what he did

Killer - Psychic Rites (Blvck Ceiling Remix) - I am not quite sure what kind of character or situation this could fit but there is a promise of destruction and the song has a wonderfully dark vibe

Rozárka - Divokej Bill - the meaning of the song is somewhat unclear to me but it sounds much like a drinking song with the singer musing about fate and life. here is a vague translation that might help: Don't you dare say you know how I feel, on an empty stomach with more wine than blood in my veins I'm writing your fate, your meeting with Lucifer, I'm burning a brand in your skin, scythe in my hand, Rosaline A thousand times a night I wake up with this feeling that someone is watching you sleep Let's drink to our health and to those who are no longer in this world, whose time has already come, Rosaline

The Curse of Millhaven - Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Polish cover by Bartek Kulas and Katarzyna Groniec - honestly just listen to it. it's fucking brilliant. sharing the Warrior Cats MAProject version because it includes English lyrics

This cover of Hotel California by Eagles - sharing as another Warrior Cats MAP call because I just can't find the original version of this cover anywhere else. this video itself is unlisted too which is a shame cause it's a really nice cover imo. the song is a classic but this cover adds a certain otherworldly melancholic vibe that makes me think of themes of Purgatory. or the Overlook Hotel from The Shining
