Hi! I can actually answer how Starbucks got looped into this. It starts with the Starbucks Workers Union which they’re suing for a similar logo / using Starbucks in the name. The union has been vocally pro-Palestine leading to people assuming it was the actual Starbucks company, which caused the actual company to get attacked, leading to Starbucks suing the workers union over it basically. So then it became “Starbucks is censoring/firing people for pro-Palestine views” (they also fired about 10% of employees in MENA regions due to the conflict, likely due to a decrease in profits in that area). The company itself has not said anything other than “I wish the violence would stop on both sides” which imo is just a pr non-statement to appease people because they don’t actually care. Personally I don’t want to support Starbucks and haven’t for a long time, but that’s because of their continual history of union busting and mistreatment of workers rather than their non-statements. (Which like. Of course they’re being neutral, they’re a large company. They only care about profits, they’ll make whatever statement will benefit their bottom line. Let’s be honest, they don’t actually care about any movements they publicly support.)

@theelf-online tumblr wouldnt let me reply to you, so here's my response to your lovely addition to my post on treatments for ARFID. First of all, thank you for telling me this! My research hasn't turned up any results for treatment options, just that ARFID is largely present in children...

second of all, I'm going to see about trying...well, the exposure therapy. your reply says there's a treatment similar to exposure therapy. so I'm hoping...you know, that something can be done for me.

thirdly...I'm not sure if the medication you're talking about will be of much aid to me, but like you said, "a combination of both might be what ends up helping regardless of what is at the root of the avoidance"

I don't wholly avoid food, I do enjoy eating, it's mostly the sensory issues with certain foods that really get me. Sidenote; when I'm off my adderall, I tend to get hungrier/eat a lot more often during the day...

I am however, attempting new foods as they are available. My mom has been my greatest support as of lately, and will often introduce me to new foods by stating what's in them, what the texture is like, and how strong the smell is. Sometimes I "get brave" at lunch during the mental health group I go to and try something new there as well.

Again, thank you for reaching out to me and leaving your reply under one of my ARFID posts, I am grateful for you taking the time to tell me about the treatment options. I will speak with my therapist about the exposure therapy and see if anything can be done before I bring this up to my doctor.

HEY! i've been using this texture pack for a while, and i wanna reccomend it to anyone seeing this!!

it blends super well into minecraft, and, y'know, makes it less antisemetic. personally, i love it, it makes it so much more comfortable to play my favorite game <3

remember to put it above other texture packs in the list when installing. if they retexture villagers, it may stop this from working!

overall, highly reccomend!!! super simple changes that are so nice to see.

Tired of the antisemitic caricatures in Minecraft?

It's well known the villagers, illagers, and witches in Minecraft are stuck with an incredibly antisemitic design that despite hope, will probably never be changed. I've looked for a resource pack that only changed those elements (keeping the base game look), and was non-optifine friendly, but found none, so I made my own.

So I introduce Antisemitism Begone!

(Version 1.19 but should work for all versions that include the redesigned villagers) It's far from a perfect solution, but it satisfies my main personal annoyances (I am Jewish myself), and I'm certainly open to any improvements that can be made.

Unfortunately, there's many things I wish I could change but am unsure how (such as re-naming the golems to constructs, or changing how the Ominous Banner looks), but my knowledge only goes so far, and I'm pretty clueless when it comes to these things. So for now it's only visual elements that are changed. If I figure out how to do these things in the future I will certainly update it.

(Edit as of 10/9/22) I have figured out how to change the name from Golems to Constructs. Currently supported languages are English (US/UK), Spanish (Spain/Mexico) and German. (Edit as of 2/9/2023) French (France/Canada) is now a supported language. (Thank you for @bouillefriend here on Tumblr for the translation help!) (Edit as of 4/23/2023) Filipino/Tagalog is now a supported language. Minor fixes to all languages. Credit to @ascelhire for both, as well as the bedrock port.
