The whole messed-up world may be too much to think about, but you can focus on taking care of your own small piece of it.

When DA4 drops I want y’all to remember these things:

- Tevinter’s closest and only ally is Orzammar (‘ally’ is an overstatement but they have a business arrangement involving lyrium & trade that the imperium cannot function without)

- There is a class in Tevinter called the Ambassadoria that consists of dwarven dignitaries from Orzammar to oversee trade

- They have their own thaigs AND a provings ground.

- Minrathous is protected by “juggernauts”: GOLEMS. Gifted to them by Orzammar.

- Orzammar has embassies in EVERY major city in Tevinter.

If bioware reduces them to common thugs and merchants like they always do I’m gonna bite someone. If Varric “Not Like Other Dwarves” Tethras is the only dwarf companion or major dwarf character we get i am nibbling someone’s ankle. BioWare still hasn’t made up for what they did to Oghren. Prime opportunity to revisit dwarves that don’t hate or disown their culture in order to fill some hollow stereotype or predictable antithesis. Go back or else.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! As a special treat, here is another taort card- from a new fandom, yes, yes, but... the last one of the Major Arcana !

Yeah, this is some Jayvik. Here, as The World.

Upright, first ! When The World card appears in a Tarot reading, you are glowing (literally, for them) with a sense of achievement, fulfilment, and completion. A long-term project, period of study (the hextech, perhaps?), or relationship has come full circle (from strangers, to partners, to whatever fluctuent situationship season 2 was, to soulmate on an astral plane), and you are now reveling in the sense of closure and accomplishment. Everything has come together, and you are in the right place, doing the right thing, achieving what you have envisioned. You feel whole and complete (with him)

Reversed, now.

The World Reversed suggests that you are seeking closure on a personal issue (POV, you're Jesus now, but you can't let go of one silly little blanket). You know, deep down, that to accept and embrace where you are now, you need to let go of the past and move on. Trying to leave the lab, for example. Or take a hammer to Jesus's face, who knows, no one would judge you, dear.

The World Reversed can signify that you want to fulfil a big goal or complete a big project (the great evolution ! come on! It's free!), but you’re not taking all the right steps to get there (you want to make people's life better? Good, but perhaps, maybe, don't start a cult, it's a very bad look). You may opt for the easiest or quickest path to attain your goal, but it won't lead to the outcome you intend. World domination, you know... Or, reaching the top of PIltover's society, and taking some *decisions* that sure are... things to think of...

The World wasn’t a Christmas magazine. Edited by Anne Waldman for the first decade of its life and published by The Poetry Project at St. Marks Church In-the-Bowery in New York from 1967 to 2002, it included work by hundreds of writers within, adjacent to, and succeeding the New York School.

Some of the best-known writers of these generations published in The World, and some of them, it turns out, wrote on the topic of Christmas.

Japan is somewhat bigger than the UK but also seems to have proportionally more wilderness? Actually idk if that's true. Hold on.

Ok, yeah, seems like it. And Britain famously has no (historically) unmanaged land; like all the woodlands and stuff have been cultivated for human use since prehistory. Whereas Japan has genuine wilderness like the US does. I mean obviously a lot of places in the US that were considered wilderness by the colonists were actually already extensively managed but that's a different thing.

Anyway as an American this is one of the things that's like deeply foreign in a very fundamental way about the UK to me.

Are there any other countries with no true wilderness?
