Rules

I am a multiship, multiverse blog. Every roleplay occurs in a separate AU. None of my characters’ relationships with any other muse affect their relationship with yours. That is, unless you specifically want to share a verse with someone else.

I am a semi-sfw blog, but the semi is only there for angst, violence, etc. While mun is in his mid-20s, I will not rp smut. Romance is fine (welcome, even). If our muses were to reach a point in roleplay where it would become intimate, the scene will fade to black.

Minors: Minors are welcome to send asks and interact with my posts, but not be roleplaying any threads with minors.

I do not necessarily believe in reblog karma. While I would certainly love you to send in stuff if you reblog, do not feel obligated to do so. I won’t guilt trip you.

Feel free to remind me if I take a long time in responding. I try to save everything to drafts, but if I drop a thread, hold me accountable. I apologize in advance, as I have a bad habit of dropping threads. If you’d like to continue a thread and you haven’t heard from me in a bit, just send me a PM.

I am somewhat selective. There’s certain types of characters (think anime-level plot armor) that I dislike writing with.

I am OC friendly. Should be a given, this is an OC blog after all.

Do not control my characters’ actions or thoughts in your written responses (unless we’ve discussed it prior). This is a back-and-forth, please don’t assume to control my character for me.

Do not godmod.

Potential triggers: Please never initiate a scene where someone is about to commit suicide and/or has to be talked out of it. I’m fine with discussing suicide as a topic, be it something that happened in a character’s past, etc., just not that specific scenario a “talking someone off the ledge.” Related to this, I try to tag any obvious triggers that may come up, but if there is something specific you’d like me to tag which isn’t mentioned in your rules page, please let me know.

Feel free to ship with me. If your muse starts to develop feelings for one of my muses, send me a PM and we can discuss the ship and maybe plot and see how to advance it. In recent years I’ve been less interested in starting new ships with him, but that doesn’t mean there is no chance.

Feel free to ask me for a roleplay any time you want. Just go into my ask box and throw stuff at me, I promise I don’t bite. You don’t need a prompt or an invitation, though I may be slow in responding at times.

All icons are my own artwork, and thus belong to me. Do not use my icons.

On the subject of icons, you do not have to use icons to roleplay with me, I just sometimes use them for fun.

This blog does not tolerate hate. Bigots get blocked.

Tumblr Etiquette Masterpost

Hi! Because I have (1) anxiety (2) been on tumblr for more than a decade, I have assumed the incredibly narcissistic position of making a post about how to interact with people on tumblr, since I think I’ve mastered the basic rules.

UPDATE: I started drafting this post a while ago. I'm not calling anyone out. I mostly made this because I realized I had a shocking number of followers who are new to tumblr.

In this post I’m covering Asks + Anons, Reblogging + Liking, Following, Tags, and ~Making Friends~.

TL;DR: tumblr etiquette is about social norms. These are the norms I have observed in my time here. You’re free to blog as you choose, but tumblr is a happier place when everybody is following the same guidelines.

Yes I use the words like “have to” or “rule” in this post. No, none of these are actual rules. Do what you want, but be prepared to face disgruntled users.

Let’s get started!

All About Following

Rule #1: You do not have to follow anybody you don’t want to. You do not need to let someone follow you if you don’t want to.

Tumblr is technically a social media site. If you want to grow your social circle, follow your mutuals’ mutuals. The internet is like real life. You do a Group Hang, and then eventually you get to the one-on-one friendship. (Please refer back to Rule #1)

Some of your mutual-in-laws might feel slighted if you follow everyone except them. That’s okay. (Please refer back to Rule #1) You might feel slighted if you’re the one not being followed. That’s okay. (Please refer back to Rule #1)

Tumblr is technically a social media site, but it’s also a place to see the content you like, not just the people you like. You can be friendly with people you don’t follow, or who don’t follow you. Some users are amazing people who just post the wrong content. That’s okay.

If someone posts content you don’t like, unfollow them. If you don’t like someone’s personality, unfollow them. Don’t be an asshole, don’t hate-follow, and don’t stress yourself out.

Asks, Anons, Messages

I tried to organize my thoughts into paragraphs. I really did. But talking to people on tumblr is messy if you do it wrong, and I’m just going to bullet-point some etiquette guidelines.

Rule #1: You do not have to answer any messages you don’t want to.

Your 500 word message should not be the first time a user sees your name

.....Before you get Venting Privileges, a user should recognize you from the tags you leave on their posts, or the comments you leave on their fic, or the other shorter messages you’ve sent them, or from being mutual-in-laws, literally whatever. But it’s Not Cool to dump things on people who don’t even know you.

The anon button should be used in two scenarios only:

.....1, to send a positive message. Not neutral! Positive message, the kind of message you send with heart emojis.

.....2, if you don’t want to admit personal information about yourself. The Venting Privileges Rule still applies even if you’re on anon (ie: you can’t vent! Because they don’t recognize your username!) and “personal information” does not include unpopular opinions. I’m talking messages like “Saw your post about living in Houston, and I agree!”

.....(Okay, three scenarios: if someone specifically asks for anons for an ask game or something!)

If you don’t want it posted publicly, don’t send it over an ask. Send it as a DM. You can always kindly request that the recipient doesn’t publish it, but typical tumblr etiquette is that asks get published by default.

Personally, if I follow someone back I like to introduce myself! Many of these conversations end after the “hi” stage, and I never force friendship upon someone. But many of these conversations also work as ice breakers, and make it easier to send the second message, and the third. Don’t worry that you’re being rude if you don’t do this—it’s also totally normal to just keep blogging as usual!—but it’s helpful in making friends.

If you reblog an ask game from someone, it’s just common courtesy to send them an ask of your own.

Tags, Blacklists

Rule #1: You do not need to use any tags you don’t want to.

(Are you sensing a theme? But this one gets a...)

But, be prepared to face disgruntled followers over this.

Tags are useful in so many ways. They’re a great place to organize posts so you can find them more easily later on! They’re a great place to show off your personality! They’re a great (and quiet! More on this later) place to show appreciation for content creators.

They’re also so incredibly helpful for your followers to avoid content they don’t want to see. If you’re delving into a new fandom and are about to reblog twenty posts in a row, tag it. If you’re liveblogging a movie, tag it. If your post (especially your photo posts) contains any common phobias or unpleasant things (gore, spiders, etc) tag it. And if one of your followers asks you to tag certain content, even if you don’t really understand why? Tag it, or else expect to lose that follower.*

*This isn’t about your follower count, btw. This is about being a decent person.

On the other hand, use blacklists and filtering liberally! If a user does tag their content, you have no right to complain about their posting it. Just filter it.

Reblogs, Likes, Comments

Tumblr is a blogging site. It functions on reblogged posts. That’s just how it works. This is not one of those sites where you scroll for hours clicking the like button.

Here are what likes are for:

Showing support for someone’s personal posts

Showing appreciation for someone’s tags

Admiring content that doesn’t exactly align with your blog (different fandom, inappropriate, whatever.)

Saving a post to find later

Showing double the love!

Here is where likes are most disappointing:

The original fic, artwork, or edits of your fellow tumblr users, especially in your fandom

(If you’re someone who regularly reblogs things, I’m not talking to you. You’re allowed to simply “like” posts. I’m talking to those users in my notifications that, day after day, like 35 of my posts and reblog exactly 1 of them.

Just reblog shit.)

Also, remember how I said you can quietly show appreciation in the tags? Only comment directly on a post if you are sure you’re adding something worthy to the post. If you’re just saying “haha me too!” or “I remember this!” just leave it in the tags. (Reminder! You can do what you want! It’s your blog and I’m not the police! I’m just teaching you etiquette! And the polite thing to do is to leave personal commentary in the tags!)

Let’s recap:

Aaaaand: Making Friends

Start small. Introduce yourself after you have mutually followed each other.

Leave nice things in people’s tags. They notice.

Send ask game messages.

Show off more of your personality. This isn’t a one way street!

.....You can do this by, well, reblogging things. Also by tagging things. Also by just making original posts.

Do not go zero to one hundred. You wouldn’t sit next to someone in class and start talking about your trauma (even if you heard that they share your own!). So don’t do it online.

Like people’s vent posts, and their asks, and their tag games. Reply to them, too.

Honestly? Do more tag games! If someone says “anyone can do this and say I tagged you” take them up on the offer! Tag other people you want to get to know more.

Last but not least, you do not owe anyone anything on tumblr, and no one owes you anything. Ignore the rude message. Block the annoying tag. Follow the users you like even if they don’t follow you back. Do not tell people to post more of X. Do not tell them to post less of Y. Do not ask them why they don’t follow you.

It’s so much easier to press the unfollow button than to be a dick.

HALLO THERE! Here’s my rules! They’re a bit long, but hopefully you can push through ‘em and we can get a chance at interaction!

1. Themes might vary with this blog. Although I’m typically SFW, I might touch upon dark topics here and there.

Things will be tagged! I’ll try my best, anyways. If you want something in particular tagged, please let me know. The format I use for tagging is, for example, tw: swearing.

I don’t have any triggers but I do ask you tag all of your NSFW content.

That said, I won’t do anything NSFW - gore is okay, though.

I’m of age.

2. I‘m a little selective, but otherwise - I’m open to canon, au, crossover, and original characters! As long as their muns rp literately/write para.

If it’s a crossover, I have to know the fandom and be at least a little bit confident with it. This is so I’m able to work with you, our thread and have muse for it.

Absolutely no godmodding. It ain’t fun, fam. If you’re not sure what this term means, do look it up. This includes powerplaying, metagaming, and other things of that nature. This applies especially in fights if they happen (I’m chance-based and hope that you are too).

I can be picky with OCs. But rest assured, if you’ve followed me/interacted with my promo, I’ll always give your pages a read.

Please don’t be offended if I don’t want to interact with you (and please don’t try to guilt me into doing so!).

As for following back, I usually take a week tops to do so - but if you’ve hit up my promo, I go through that eventually.

As I’ve said, I’m selective and as a result mutuals do take priority - but I don’t have to be following you for you to interact with me. It just means I’m more likely to interact with you if you’re a mutual.

3. Please don’t rush me for starters or responses.

PLEASE understand that I have blogs galore and my muse tends to fluctuate; this can mean I’m everywhere at once and can end up neglecting a blog or two. It’s nothing personal; you know how muses are! Additionally, life happens to be a thing.

Please note the mun deals with anxiety and depression - this might affect how frequently she roleplays.

Chances are, I’ve probably has seen that bit of interactivity and just haven’t gotten around to responding yet.

My roleplaying style being para/multi-para, I may take a while to respond. I hoard drafts like a dragon - it’s really just the motivation to write and ship those out.

Just a reminder I hoard all your asks too, even weeks later. If I don’t respond to it, I’m either keeping it for a rainy day, or just can’t find the muse/interest for it currently. If it’s been a month or two though, just assume it wasn’t working for me unless I’ve informed you otherwise.

4. Shippings? Heck yeah I’m down for the fluffy content, as long as they’re of similar age to my boio.

If I don’t happen to be interested, don’t force anything on my character.

I do not ship incestuous ships. Do NOT follow/interact if you do.

Sontails will not be happening on this blog either, sorry.

The ship has to have chemistry; I’m generally shipping trash, but if they don’t click, they don’t click, sorry.

This is a multi-ship blog, meaning there will be more than one ship without them conflicting with eachother.

If you want to ship and I already have a ship of your choosing going with a duplicate, please don’t hesitate to hmu! My ships aren’t exclusive and each character/relationship portrayal is unique to me!

Relationships are eternal until you deem otherwise.

5. Whilst I am of age, I’m not aiming for sexual content on this blog (and will not be dealing with fetishes). That stuff makes me uncomfortable, and I typically don’t recommend pulling it with my character if you’re interacting with me. Nonetheless, should it arise, I will tag it appropriately. Also, Tails is a child. So no.

6. About reblogs…

I am not a meme source, and reblogs clog up my activity. Please reblog any memes you find on this blog from their SOURCE. The exception to this rule is if there is no source; go ahead.

I don’t feel comfortable with Personals reblogging my IC or OOC posts, so please don’t do that. If I put something in the fandom tags for whatever reason (bar promos), you’re free to, though.

Please don’t reblog my art unless I’ve drawn it specifically for you or said you can. I either have that as do not reblog for a reason, or I am planning to post it on my art blog at some point.

A few times is fine, as it happens, but repeatedly breaking these rules will result in me soft blocking you.

I try to participate in reblog karma as much as I can, but always reblog from the source/a meme source.

If a post or ask is for you, you’re free to reblog it to save it though - but only if you’re an rp blog!

7. I’m a para / multi-para blog, novella if I’m adventurous and have time. Whilst I may roleplay crack threads with shorter responses, this does not apply to all threads I write. This means:

I write my replies as detailed as I can muster.

Short responses (such as one-liners) in more serious threads where I’ve written a decent deal can instantly kill my muse for that thread.

Whilst I’d prefer for partners to at least somewhat match my length, it’s entirely up to you - just try your best and make sure you give me enough to work with. ♡

If my muse happens to go nuts out of nowhere - like, overboard - don’t stress too much about matching them.

If para roleplays aren’t your alley, I’m unlikely to roleplay with you. It’s nothing personal; it’s just finding muse for one-liner threads is incredibly difficult unless it’s dash shenanigans. Anything else outside that is fine, though - we can still have fun outside of proper threads.

If you need further context on the AU, the link to it’s tag is here! Otherwise just ask me!

Tails’ AU is one I’m very proud of and very attached to, so please don’t force your headcanons about him on me. If you’re unsure how certain events play out in the context of his universe, don’t hesitate to ask me about them!

That said, anything that might take place on this blog obviously isn’t canon to the AU itself; I just like writing for this boio and it helps me develop his character. It’s all hypothetical.

Additionally! Don’t worry too much if the headcanoned relationships between Tails and other muses don’t match yours. Those are mostly just guidelines for how Tails would USUALLY interact with your muse. I’m open to altering these relationships to better fit our threads! Don’t ever feel restricted to what I put down; it’s mostly just for context purposes because, well, Tails is absent. I’m an IM away for plotting.

8. Threads typically happen naturally with me, but if you’re looking for interaction opportunities:

I’ll have a permanent starter call somewhere for you to hit up; honestly though, if you’re a mutual? Pls feel free to hit it up.

Starter memes are the BEST way to interact me because they just yeet a prompt at my face and really help me write starters. If you see me reblog one, send one!

If there’s a verse you’re interested in, please specify.

If you want to turn an ask into a thread, go ahead!

I may not roleplay with every starter I am given - I’ll do a ‘background check’ if you’re a new blog on the block. If I don’t feel your writing style/length works with mine, I might not respond. Apologies. ;__;

Please don’t write para / novella starters up for me unless we’ve discussed something, sent something, or I’ve liked a starter call. I really don’t want to leave people hanging if I’m not interested.

IMs are open to mutuals, if you want to do any in-depth plotting.

9. Guidelines on mains and relationships:

If we’re mutuals and we interact a lot, you’re welcome to ask me if I’d like to be your main!

Please note that MAINS fall into two categories; one pertaining to Tails’ initial universe, and those pertaining to alternates. Although the latter is plenty, for clarity’s sake, there would be one alternate Tails might default to.

Please don’t be offended if I deny, though; I typically want to pick those I trust to be my mains as well as people I can comfortably write with.

Not limited to them! I roleplay with duplicates galore so don’t be afraid to hit me up if you want to interact!

Pre-established relationships are a-okay in my book; if you have an idea for a relationship between our muses we can work towards, hit me up! I reblog those pre-established relationship memes every so often too. Romantic relationships link back to the shipping guidelines.

Also, friendship/family/rivalry relationships are EXTREMELY valid to me. GIMME’ ALL THE PRECIOUS BONDING CONTENT PLS. THIS BOY NEEDS FRIENDS.

10. If you have any issues, please let me know and hopefully we can resolve it!

Mun is actually super nice, so don’t be afraid to hit her up!

I am absolutely terrible with IMs and sometimes even Discord. I either respond quickly or days later, depends on my mood. Social anxiety tends to interfere with this - but honestly, if you’ve sent something, I’ve likely read it and just haven’t gotten around to it yet! It’s nothing personal; trust me! I just need a social breather every now and again.

Please leave me out of drama; I’m here to have a good time, as is everyone else, and it pains me to see people arguing.

11. It’s easier with a clean dash for me, so I’m more likely to follow people who:

12. On threads…

If you’re not interested in a thread anymore, and would like to drop it, please let me know! I’d feel terrible if we’re both not having fun with it or if partners feel overwhelmed with the amount of threads we have.

Honestly, unless I let you know, our threads have no expiry date - so no need to worry about me dropping them without telling you. I can just be quite slow sometimes.

13. Mun does not equal muse! Anything Tails might say does not reflect on how I think unless I explicitly say so.

14. Know that if I follow you, I WANT to interact with you.

I literally couldn’t care less about follower counts. I care about YOU guys and our interactions.

Q1 : if you could write your character your way in their own movie , what would it be called , what style would it be filmed in , and what would it be about ?

A1 :

The Outsider doesn’t deserve a movie. But if he had one it would have some sort of one-word title that helped no one guess what it was about. Like.. “Time” or “Forever”. It would be some sort of ridiculous indie film that is trying so hard to intellectual that all concept of linear storytelling is lost. Symbolism takes the place of narrative. And you leave the theater feeling as if you’ve lost days instead of a mere hour. It’s supposed to be about what it’s like to be him in the Void. And maybe it is. No one can be certain.

Q2 : What would their soundtrack / score sound like ?

A2 :

Ethereal for want of a better term. With that sort of undercurrent of creepy as shit. The sort of music that either has no lyrics or the lyrics contain no chorus. It’s just this story that’s being sang in airy tones over deep music.

Q3 : why did you start writing this character ?

He wouldn’t leave me alone. I tried to get my bff in rl to finish the game and save me from The Outsider but they never did and I had no choice but to find someone else to satisfy him.

Q4 : what first attracted you to this character ?

He’s.... neat? I dunno. I played the first game and I think I only got through some levels because I kept telling myself that there would be another shrine if I could just get to it. How I get my muses is dumb. They show up in my head and declare themselves deserving of my time >.<

Q5 : describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse.

How disconnected he is. Like he can seriously upset someone and not even register that he did. And that’s the antithesis of me and it hurts me every time.

PLEASE specify the muse if you send a meme & we haven’t interacted before. If you’re from the same fandom as a muse I have and you don’t it’ll go to them by default but if not I’ll either give it to Severus or Brittnay because they’re in charge or delete it all together. PLEASE. Just specify

If your OC knows my muse just let me know what kind of relationship they have with them beforehand so I can decide if it’s fitting. I’ll usually say yes as long as I can see it fitting in with my canon. Also, your muse needs a reason to know incredibly personal things about my muse whether they’re a canon or an OC. Mun knowledge and muse knowledge are two very separate things.

I have no problem with OCs related to my muses provided I can fit them into the muse’s canon. Children I’m a bit more selective with if they are the child of another canon character because I don’t ship most popular fanon ships with canon characters. For example with Severus I would have no desire to interact with a child of him & Hermione because I do not ship them but a child of Bellatrix & Severus I would accept provided the child’s backstory was compatible with my own headcanons. Children of OCs honestly have the best chance with me to be honest.

I have like. Opinions and stuff. Especially about fanon. As well as canon things that could’ve been done better. If you don’t like that you probably should just unfollow me now to be honest.

If I say I have something drafted don’t hound me for replies about it. Gentle reminders are cool. I do have ADHD. Constant harassment is not cool at all it just makes me hesitant to talk to other people.

Many of my muses use very offensive language or have very skewed morals. They are nota reflection of the mun so do not confront the mun about it. Confront the muses all you want. They probably don’t care though.

I am of age and yes I read more all the smut that comes across my page just out of courtesy. I do have a nosy family and a younger brother so it’s a habit that keeps me sane.

Many of my muses have supernatural abilities and can tell what other muses are thinking or feeling. So, if my muse does reply to a thought your character did not voice it’s because they let their own mind shield slip and thought your muse actually said their thought aloud, not because I’m godmodding.

Following that some of my muses are the opposite and have been trained to block other people out from their mind. Like idk. Severus Snape. This post is mostly about him. If you aren’t sure what your muse may or may not be privy to in our threads see this post.

Cut your fucking posts. Being on mobile is not an excuse. I’ve been trapped on mobile countless times and learned how to cut my posts. It’s not hard and I will unfollow you if you clutter my dash.

If you have a trigger I missed tell me and I’ll tag it.

Do not control my muse’s reactions in your writing. Do not control anything my muses do or have done ever without speaking to me about it first unless your muse has the power of mind control. Even then your muse should only be pushing that action towards them and I will decide if my muse is mentally vulnerable enough to follow through on what your muse is trying to force them to do. They are mine. You have your own toy(s) to play with and my muses are unpredictable anyway.

I ship chemistry. Don’t force your muse onto mine. My muse will punt them into the nearest trash bin.

If our muses get into a fight and your muse is not an experienced fighter and is going head to head with one of my aggressive muses that are trained in combat they will lose. Period. That being said, if your character is also a seasoned warrior they can obviously win or there doesn’t necessarily have to be a clear winner (Maybe they BOTH die, pfft). And if your human muse is going against one of my Supes and they have no experience with fighting Supernatural creatures they will obviously get a beat down. Let’s be real.

If your muse ever misses mine and I’m not on feel free to tag me in something or send a message. I swear I’m not scary.

Following that I’m always up for plotting. The only things I will not do right off the bat are male impregnation and incest i.e: Parent/Child, Sibling/Sibling. Family members in any kind of sexual romantic relationship I will not do either of these plots because I won’t. Incest is a strong personal trigger. So please tag your incest if we roleplay together. I will abide minimal mention of it (if it’s a part of your character’s backstory or canon) however explicit descriptions and constant references to it will end the thread immediately, and I will probably unfollow and/or block you and I will NOT roleplay it at all. If you ask me to roleplay incest. I will block you, period. Every other dark or messed up plot you wanna do I can guarantee I’m probably down for.

If you ever lose anything you want to continue either search your url on my blog, message me for a link or check the thread tracker. There is the chance that I have drafted it. I do start threads with the intent to finish them but life is stressful and it’s hard to keep up so I may have lost it. I am not scary. Come ask me about that one thing.

I believe in effort matching. See this post. If you don’t practice it that’s cool. Just prepare yourself for many dropped threads.

If you want to drop a thread please message me and tell me you’re dropping it. Otherwise I assume you will continue it at some point and it is rude to leave me waiting for a reply you aren’t planning on doing. I will do the same on the occasion that I absolutely cannot continue a thread or there will be a PSA if it’s a mass thread dropping.

Rping in first person throws me off and makes me uncomfortable. If you reply to a thread or greeter in first person I will not answer it for the sake of my sanity.

If you are not replying to a thread do not reblog it. If you are not an RP blog do not reblog my threads. I will block you. Liking them is fine. If you want to reblog a meme I’ve answered (sans the replies if it was turned into a thread), or a gifset or anything that is not a thread to save it go ahead I actually love that.

If you want to turn a meme or ask into a thread, that’s fine. But please post the answer in a new text post or I will not continue it.

ONE • THIS BLOG IS A SAFE SPACE. that means no hate, no bigotry, no jackassness allowed. if i see it on my dash, you will be blocked. i will reblog callout posts, but only for serious stuff. if i see a callout posts for someone ’ not writing their character right ’ or ’ not being original enough ’ or something like that, it will be ignored. that’s dumb and you need to get over yourself. i myself am a white, lgbt female. i am not perfect, and if i do some shitty things, i expect people to come talk to me about it because in no way do i want to be make people uncomfortable or be ignorant. but i do prefer you come talk to me first, don’t just blast hate about me without trying to work with me first. i am not a hard ass, im actually quite the pushover. and i swear im pretty nice.

NINE • I TAG TRIGGERS AS TRIGGER TW. if you want a trigger tag, tell me so i can tag it ! i try to tag the basics, but sometimes i forget, so if i forget just remind me ! i ask that you tag any vague posts you might post. i have a habit of thinking they are about me no matter what they are about. simply tag anything about it being vague or simply put ’ not about my mutuals ’ if it’s about something else ! spoilers for tv shows / games / etc will be along the same lines tagging wise.

i have no plans to watch it. sylar isn’t even in the show so its really just not required of me to view it. any plot lines transpired in that canon will never be seen in any way on my blog. sylar reforms himself post series & just goes on from there. when i officially make it through the whole show i will write proper headcanons on that.

also i think its worth mentioning cos some might see this as potential godmodding. sylar is not a nice guy, hes a type of serial killer. he will kill you if it benefits him, or if you piss him off enough. hes not above doing it just to prove a point. he will hurt you if you make angry, might not kill you but he can hurt you if you anger him. so if your muse riles him up enough ?? just be prepared for potential violence, that might follow. --- i will not exercise my muses strength cos you think its funny to have yours poke the hive. -- if you don’t like this, please don’t attempt to write with me. my muse is a villian for most of the show & i won’t be watering him down for you.

OOC VS. IC KNOWLEDGE

at the point i am in the show, the only people who know what sylar looks like are the people that have seen him, furthermore only those who have heard the name know he is even a thing. so its safe to say a lot of normal savillians don’t know him. HELL a lot of the heroes don’t know him either. --- keep this in mind when interacting. if your character has special abilities to know who he is, thats different, but don’t just assume you know who he is or what he does.

FURTHERMORE TO GO OFF A TANGENT i am not gonna be too keen to see a bunch of starters of people begging for their lives. gabriel is a hell of a lot more then just a random serial killer. he is a complex character who has feelings & issues of his own. hes not going to kill just anyone for the sake of it. please bare this in mind. i will likely not reply to those kind of random interactions. --- by all means if you wanna plot something like that i am game for it, but please give me the heads up. i will not reduce my muse to a stereotype killer, cause hes not & thats the tea. he only kills when it benefits him, its not a sport for the hell of it.

How I Run My Show

REPOST DON’T REBLOG

SPEED: I am very active but my activity does tend to be sporadic at times. I have begun to try and make use of the queue feature more and more often. I also run another blog ( @thechaoticfanartist ) where I am extremely active, occasionally too active. Not to mention I am also working on The Clone Wars Gets A New Victim, a Fanfiction that rewrites all of The Clone Wars and Revenge Of The Sith to include Grim. I also have a life and am trying to work on things irl that being said I may dissappear at times. Though this is not personal I just have a lot to deal with!

REPLIES: Replies will attempt to match the partner. If a partner uses icons so do I, if they don't then I don't. Unless I feel as if my reply is too short. I also try my best to match the length or at least one that is appropriate. The moment I see my reply is needed I save it so my drafts with a basic outline of an idea I have. (I have ADHD and Autism so if I don't do this I may forget.) Do not take it personal if I take a long time to reply sometimes I just get some major writer's block. (Or I open the draft to work on it and my muse dies at that second) though I will do my best to get to all replies!

STARTERS: I am perfectly happy to write starters! Though if I'm not to familiar with you or your muse I may not be able to. I prefer to write starters for mutuals after we've had a few interactions so I know where to go.

INBOX: I love asks! It may take time to reply but I will get to it in time. As mentioned before the moment I get it I save the basic information to my drafts so I don't lose my ideas. Feel free to send me asks at any time from any meme I have ever reblogged (though if it's been some time please send what meme it's for so I can save it to my drafts)

SELECTIVITY: I am semi-selective. That is to say I don't tend to interact with blogs with too much small text or fancy fonts. (A combination of ADHD, Autism, and vision problems makes this very difficult for me.) I also don't interact with sequel muses. 1) it's been forever since I've seen the sequels and I didn't really like them and 2) Grim can't really interact with them due to her dying before the sequels begin. This may change for time-travel AUs or an AU where Grim appears in a different point in time, but again my sequels knowledge is very limited. So I don't interact with small/fancy text or sequel muses. Not that I have anything against sequel muses I'm sure they're very lovely!

WISHLIST: I don't have much of a wishlist but I would love to do an AU where Grim was never found by the Jedi but still tries to prevent Order 66 and I would also love to interact with a Leia. Also would be interested in a Grim and Sith Obi-Wan interaction. I'd also like to try an AU where Grim appears in a time other than The Clone War, or an AU where someone other than Obi-Wan trains her.

HONEST NOTE: I am forgetful and have a life outside of Tumblr (at least I'm trying to lol) so if you ever feel like I forgot something don't be afraid to remind me, but please only do this once! Also due to my PTSD there may be some topics I am not willing to discuss or do threads about (I have no obligation to disclose what these triggers are but I will let you know if something is too much for me.)

this ask! it’s really not up my alley, because, as i’ve said before, i have no clue at all how i’ve reached this high of a milestone. i literally have THREE posts right now that are actually relevant to my studyblr and one that has 150+ notes for being #aesthetic. my posts with the highest notes aren’t even relevant to the studyblr community, but rather the figure skating obsession that i’m trying (see: failing) to get over. so honestly? no idea.

i will, however, tell you what you can do to gain more popularity (almost everything that i don’t do). this is under the cut because of how long this is (don’t let that deter you from reading this though ;D)

how to gain followers

post regularly, regardless of how “shitty” your posts may be (plot twist: no studyblr post is shitty ok!!)

learn how to use the schedule function. i have no clue how to use it tbh but it really keeps you on track if you have a lot of content that’s done and edited and all but you just lose track of posting time (this unfortunately, doesn’t work for me, someone who has zero content)

learn how to tag well! i know people put me in their tags (which is soooo flattering thank you so much!) but i typically don’t check it that often (for some reason my tag hasn’t been working when you search tumblr? someone halP) so i would suggest people who, of course, have a big following, check often and, most importantly, are willing to reblog posts from smaller studyblrs (sad to say not many, but i know @studyblr does)

as much as pictures are very aesthetically pleasing, i highly suggest writing masterposts or lists of tips and other stuff! i know that’s the type of content that i’m both interested in actually reading and putting on my blog, so that’s a definite reblog on my part. i will typically even save these in my drafts for future reference since i am hopeless at tags.

pictures are great, but are easy posts for insta (studygrams), and i find that tumblr is more useful than insta for the exact purpose of finding resources and tips instead of just aesthetics

langblrs: lists of vocab. think outside the box for this too; recently i reblogged a list of spanish vocabulary for the cafe. i can’t even tell you how interested i was in it, it was nice to see the words i knew being grouped differently and also have the opportunity to learn newer words

be active. don’t worry so much about how good your content is, or even how much-i think the fact that you are promoting and spreading any type of content is enough to keep the studyblr community going. often times i see a lot of studyblrs posting that their dash is dead and that they’re trying to go on a following spree. follow those posts, follow more people, and reblog more things.

QUEUE THINGS. the queue function saves my dumb ass during the weeks where i really need to get to work and cannot afford to go on tumblr at all and also when i’m not on studyblr content. unfortunately i still find ways to procrastinate on tumblr though so whoops

get yourself involved in the community. this can be done in a number of ways:

be open to friends and new studyblrs! continuing on with the “getting involved with the community” note, it’s both an act of kindness and also a huge boost to new, small studyblrs for reblogging their introduction post.

actually interacting with other studyblrs. i know the pain of having to interact, but i have seen the effect of my interactions with others, and it really pays off. i would say that the greatest increase in followers i had (while i was active starting christmas 2017 until now) was when i put out a post tagging over a hundred blogs to come and tALK TO ME and people did!!! and now i’m glad to say not only do i have tumblr friends, but people know that they’re always open to my ask box and are not reluctant to send me asks

doing tags and ask memes. i find this to be one of the best things of having a tumblr, i absolutely love the tags and ask memes. i actually have a bunch of ask memes saved for a time when i am not swamped with work and also my celebration requests. as for tags, it’s a way to get to present yourself to people, so why not?

reminder to always be careful with what kind of information you put on the internet though

challenges. one of the best ways, imho, to put yourself in the heart of the studyblr community. i, for one, absolutely adore looking at peoples challenges, it’s a good way to see progress in their work, expose yourself to more posts, and even motivate yourself to do challenges. although i haven’t caught on with this yet, i do hope to.

put effort in your posts. i know i’m very attracted visually, so i love posts with headers (you can use canva like me and em (@nichestudyblr) do :>)

be patient. results take some time :))

most importantly

remind yourself why you made a studyblr. in all honestly, if the answer to this is for more followers, i highly advise you to just…stop. that’s not the core motivation nor the purpose of a studyblr, and it shouldn’t be for anybody. followers are very insignificant in the long run, as popularity typically is. as much as i love all my followers, i do not-and should not-be losing sleep over whether or not you enjoy the content i post.

that’s all i have! in all honesty i would take everything you just read (if you made it down here) with a grain of salt because i am the exception to a lot of what i just said; i don’t know how i have so many followers in such a short time, but i’m very thankful and love you all! thank you for your utmost support!
