Map of Soho Good Omens Season 2 - Part 1 (Location and general map)
Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
Update: Map now identifies Lucky Snake and the coffee shop listed in Aziraphale's clipboard may indeed be Give Me Coffee I think we all have wondered how the GO Soho looks like and where it would be in real London. So using all the screenshots, BTS pictures and videos I could find I did my best to map out where things are. It is not to scale but everything I could see is there. I originally had all the pictures and explanations in this post but soon it became obvious it was going to be too long and impractical so I had to split it in different posts and I hope I got it right. The map has five reference points (circle with two diverging lines); imagine the circle is you, standing in the set, and the lines are your viewpoint if you were taking a picture from there. The left side of Whickber Street (#1 and #2) is in Part 2, the intersecting street (#3 and #4) is in Part 3 and the right half of Whickber Street (#5) is in Part 4.
As to where the bookshop would be in real London. We know that Whickber Street is supposed to be Berwick Street so let's start there. The intersecting street is not obvious from the show. In this post Neil said he imagines the bookshop to be where Gosh! Comics is (Peter Street) while Michael Ralph and Douglas McKinnon probably put it at The Week (on Broadwick Street). Because it is ambiguous and really you can do whatever you want, I just left it as "intersecting street". We know from the book that Crowley takes Wardour Street after the bookshop fire. Wardour is behind Berwick so in our map it would be where the Chinese Buffet Restaurant is, considering they run more or less parallel. On the other side, we have the Windmill Theatre located on Great Windmill Street. From Berwick St. and Peter St. it takes three minutes to walk to the theatre, it is that close! (yes, I know, Crowley was conducting business two blocks from the bookshop while not talking to Aziraphale for 80 years). I have never been in that part of London so I used Google Maps streetview and based only on that, I like the corner of Berwick St. and Broadwick St. better. It has the crooked intersection but the proximity of the theatre matches Peter St. better, so whatever works better for you!
There is one place missing from the set map though: Brown's World of Carpets! It is nowhere to be found, we simply don't know where it is My very personal headcanon is that it is nothing but a desk inside the furniture store. I find that idea of the guy most worried about storefront looks being the one without a storefront very amusing, but don't mind me, it is just my very silly hc XD Now, we know Aziraphale has a list for the shops he needs to visit. And we know he wrote it in alphabetical order which begs the question: Where is the Dirty Donkey?! Are they not invited? And what about the fabric shop? And Bilton Scaggs? Battye and Palm? The News Agency? Is "Mo Coffee? No Coffee?" supposed to be Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death? Or is there another coffee shop somewhere? @crow-bee23 suggested it could be "Me Coffee" which it is entirely possible, the full name is kind of long. So many questions to ask Mr. Brown.
Anyway, I put pictures and details on the shops in parts 2, 3 and 4. Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4

Demon Fire.
Yan Kafka x F Reader x Yan Blade.
Synopsis: Where is this train going?
Warnings: Yandere themes, kidnapping, and manipulation.
Word Count: 1k.
*~*~*~*
“Which seat do you want, darling?” Kafka asks, her thumb still making circles over your own.
Her hair is half put up in a ponytail as usual, the rest flowing down the sides of her face. She only held her purse, which held only her wallet, her phone, snacks, water, and pictures of you with her and Blade. Blade pulls her suitcase, as well as yours and his, through the narrow gap between the seat rows, with his bag noticeably smaller compared to Kafka's and yours.
You point to the one closest to the window, and Kafka smiles. “That one.”
She nods, and Blade begins to put the luggage in the cabinet above, being silent all the while you and Kafka sit down.
“Neither of you have told me where we are going.” You say as Kafka puts her head on your shoulder.
“Be patient, my dear girl. You will find out soon. You’ll love it, I promise. Bladie and I spent a lot of time searching for a place to celebrate.”
You ask what you are all celebrating, and she continues.
“Do not fret, it will only be a few hours before we reach our destination. We’ll just cuddle for now, and chat. There are also movies to watch and sights to see out the window. Both the ride there and where we are going is going to be so relaxing for all of us. You have my word. Or my honor. Whichever you prefer, dear.” You stop paying attention to her words halfway through, and when she realizes this she pecks your cheek. “Though I suspect you think that neither of them exist.”
“Maybe.” As the train begins its journey, you gaze out the window, murmuring to yourself. Like a well-rehearsed performance or clockwork, an array of colorful flowers and plants glide past, each one swiftly replaced by another. Before you know it, the vibrant beauty of spring and the whispers of Kafka lull you to sleep.
…
The landscape was a surprise, yet not entirely, as it lay in a remote location devoid of human presence except for the occupants of the cabin nestled at the foot of the verdant hill. The vast expanse was a haven of blossoms, grass, and foliage, enough to supply a lifetime's worth of adornments for a spring festival. Every imaginable flower and plant seemed to find a home here. In the nearby lake, crystal clear waters mirrored the mountain's grandeur, while tranquil sea bass and carp glided serenely beneath the surface.
Nestled beside the solitary cottage stood a windmill, its weathered blades casting a gentle shadow. Atop the one aimed towards the heavens, doves perched, unharmed, indicating the absence of predator birds in this vicinity. The setting appeared idyllic, yet a lingering unease persisted within. Despite the hours that have passed, questions lingered in your mind; what is the purpose behind Blade and Kafka bringing you to this place, and what are they commemorating?
Kafka is the one who guides you, as always, holding your hand gently and pulling you along as she chatters away. Blade, as always, simply watches from behind you two like a shadow.
…
It is Blade that opens the door to the cottage, his face still stoic, as Kafka wraps one of her arms around your waist. You have adorned yourself in the attire she adores, a lacy, ebony dress accompanied by sheer black stockings and elegant flats. Much to your misfortune, according to her, Blade doesn’t hate this outfit either.
Even though Blade was the one to open the door, it is you who is forced to step in first, and it is you who is forced to sit down first at the little wooden circular table surrounded by three chairs.
“You still haven’t told me what this is about, Kafka.” Despite your curiosity, you don’t dare to raise one of your eyebrows.
“Yes, yes. Let us just rest for a moment. I’m tired.”
“...Okay. It’s just… you’ve kept me in the dark for the past few days about this trip, so…”
Kafka lets out an exaggerated sigh before sitting down as well with a thump, pressing her thumb and forefinger against her temple, gently massaging in circular motions. She is acting like she was the one who carried all of the luggage, and not Blade, who is still putting your suitcases down in the corner. “Come on, love… I’m tired, take pity on poor little old me.”
“...”
Finally, Blade sits down in the last chair. You’re not surprised by his silence anymore.
“...” In his customary manner, he rests his hands on his lap, maintaining a polite sitting posture. Unchanging, his countenance remains impassive; it is difficult to recall a single instance where a smile has graced his face, except for those dreadful moments when he is mara-struck.
“Sigh. Bladie, which suitcase did you put the peaches in? Was it [First]’s? I’m craving one.” If you were Blade, you would have rolled your eyes. “Really badly. Almost as much as I crave our dearest. I’ll get it myself.”
“...[First]’s.”
In a split second, Kafka's wearied expression transforms into a radiant grin as she stands up and walks toward your suitcase leaning against the wall.
Kafka's gaze freezes time as he rummages through your luggage, searching for the bag of peaches. As Blade utters his words, his voice retains its roughness, yet it carries a touch of tenderness.
“...Do you like this place, [First]?” He asks, looking at you. You think he is trying to put on a small smile, from the way his lips are slightly curved upward, but it does not comfort you as intended. “We picked this place for you.”
“But why?”
As ironic as it may seem, it is always Blade you ask questions to because at least he gives straightforward answers.
“Didn’t Kafka tell you?” For once, Blade seems confused. Was he not paying attention every time you asked? “It’s your birthday, isn’t it? ...Did you not know that?”
“...Well, I’m not exactly always given access to calendars…”
“...Fair.”
You hear Kafka's mischievous laughter from the corner.
“...But happy birthday regardless, [First].”
Once more, his smile achieves the opposite of its intended effect.

Some Personal Favorite BL Moments of 2023
this is inspired by @lurkingshan's post, thank you for that 😊
Best Show
be my favorite, hands down. this show hooked me right from the very beginning, and each week it kept outdoing itself. the kindest, most compassionate storytelling mixed with some absolutely amazing character journeys and a strong message at its heart, bmf will stay with me forever (and not only because i managed to snatch one of the utterly gorgeous box sets for my collection). 12/10 puffball music boxes
Best Scene
alan and wen pre- and post-breakup at the start of episode 5 of moonlight chicken. i've rewatched these nine minutes more times than i can count. both first and mix do some incredible acting here, and it's such an utter joy to watch. 5/5 crying firsts sliding down a wall
The Scene That Came For My Life The Most
look, i've talked about only friends episode 6 [4/4] before. you all already know that i desire mew carnally for what he did with that audio tape. i have also rewatched this scene an embarrassing amount of times. 96/69 illicit sex tapes
Most Rewatchable Show and Best Main Couple
this one goes to a boss and a babe. i have already rewatched this show twice this year, and i love it more on every single rewatch. i regularly lose my mind about how much i love this silly little show and start waxing poetic about how much this love story means to me, how much i adore gun and cher's weirdness, their communication, their commitment, their gentleness, their mutual respect, the way they help each other and heal each other, the way they make each other feel safe and loved, which my friends from the bl besties server can attest to. maybe one day, i'll put all of my ramblings into a coherent format, but for now please trust that this show is absolutely wonderful and extremely special to me. 1000/10 gaymer friends sleepovers
Best Premise (That Was Utterly Ruined By The Show)
i've got to say dangerous romance, although step by step comes in at a close second. after the second episode of dr, i was out here writing hundreds of words worth of meta, and then... well, then the show became what it unfortunately is, now. i still want to see the show that i was promised (a thriller about two poor brothers who get into hot water because of money issues and end up having to turn to crime to survive, all while the younger brother slowly falls in love with the biggest bully at school, and over the course of the show the bully needs to learn to become a better person and help sailom overcome the trust issues he should have had from growing up constantly threatened and sometimes physically abused by members of the mafia.) -20/10 stupid fucking windmills for ruining something that could have been amazing
Best Side Couple
tiwpor, you will always be famous to me. my school president itself might just have given us crumbs, but i licked those tiny crumbs right off the floor with delight, and when our skyy 2 made it canon, i lost my entire mind. i could not have asked for more. 2/2 couples t-shirts
Best Date
yang and phumjai on their practice date in episode 4 of love in translation was probably the sweetest thing that happened on any bl in 2023. in the later episodes, they had many more beautiful moments together as well as some incredibly amazing physical intimacy (plus, in the extended iqiyi cut, one hell of a foreplay scene), but their sweet date before they had even confessed their feelings has stayed with me. 11/10 slices of pandan
Best Beach Scene(s)
never let me go wins this one. no other show was as devoted to showing off their beautiful beach locations as nlmg this year. watching this show made me yearn for the sea. 1/1 tattoo of your boyfriend's name
Best Rooftop Scene
despite the stiff competition in the form of bmf and cherry magic thailand, last twilight has this one in the bag. the pain, the pining, the heartbreak, the complicated feelings, the desperate kiss... they even lampshaded this trope in the dialogue. stellar scene. 12/10 sunflowers
Best Sensuality
we've had a lot of high heat bls this year, some of them still ongoing, and since billy infamously said "a lot and deeply", i feel like the next episode of the sign might just blow all of our minds. i'm not awarding a best sex scene here so i won't have to eat my words in a few days—however, i feel confident in saying that when it comes to raw sensuality, no one is going to beat ray and sand in only friends this year, no matter how hard the characters on pit babe, playboyy and the sign might be trying. truly, nobody embodies sensual attraction like first and khaotung do. 69/10 sausages that represent blowjobs
Best Minor Character That Stole The Show
gotta agree with the masses here and say nawin laws of attraction. what a guy. every day i miss him. ∞/10 unhinged ex boyfriends
Best Viewing Experience
this is not bl, but it might as well be: midnight museum still feels like a fever dream, i have no idea what the plot even was, i understood maybe 10% of what was happening at any given moment, and i've never had more fun watching anything. this truly is the show of all time. 5/3 roles played by gun atthaphan
Wildest GMMTV Moment
also not a bl, but the piploy pissing in the car scene as an act of revenge in wednesday club would go down in history, if, you know, people had actually watched this show. what can i even say. 3/3 gratuitous pissing scenes
Most Anticipated Show Of 2024
i just had to find a way to mention my golden blood in this post. i am yearning for this show with an intensity i cannot describe. i literally need to see joss bridal carrying gawin as much as possible, it is on the baseline of my hierarchy of needs. no matter whether this turns out to be trashy fun, high camp, an actually serious show, or all three, i win. gmmtv could not have given me anything better to look forward to next year 💖

Coffee, Hugs And Kisses
a spring breeze filled the cafe located within the golden hour as the strong smell of coffee lingered in the air mixing with the fresh smell of an open field that brought to mind an winery and windmills. a long lost yet not entirely forgotten land of freedom as a angelic voice carried along the breeze reaching each pair of ears as if speaking directly to them.
" tell the world you're on vacation~ xoxo~"
what appeared to be a teenage boy was up on the stage not even needing a microphone to project across the room, being the source of the previously mentioned angelic voice." give your best with one salutation- xoxo!" he sung one of his songs he thought best suited the setting of penacony as he danced whilst a group of sentiment instruments surrounded him all playing music to go with the small man's singing, " tell them "take it easy", keep it breezy!~ xoxo! life is far less taxing when relaxing!~ xoxo!"

hear me out, all right?
I must excise the fix-it plot bunny demons
Surge and Kit were wards of Windmill Village, two of the many kids for whom Mr. Tinker built toys. He created Belle to be a playmate for them in addition to his helper, and promised to adopt Surge and Kit when he finished building a house for all of them to live their happily ever after in. This promise ultimately went unfulfilled when Starline abducted Tinker. This rattled Surge and Kit, who have suffered an unfortunate history of being promised a forever home by prospective foster parents but let down; this reinforced the idea in their minds that they can only depend on each other. They also became disillusioned with Sonic, who promised to check on Tinker but failed to protect him from Starline's clutches. No longer seeing Windmill Village as a home without Tinker in it, they decided to take Belle and hide out in the nearby abandoned Eggman base (echoing when the two hid out in Starline's stolen eggbase after his death). They managed to evade the virus by hiding in the base, sending Belle out to forage for supplies despite her protests (implying the two have a hardening cruel streak). During one such excursion, she was badly damaged by a zombot, which resulted in amnesia over Mr. Tinker and her memories of Surge and Kit. The two of them presumed Belle dead. Later on, during his quest to steal Eggman's things strike out on his own, Starline locates this hidden base and subsequently finds the perfect pair of test subjects. He kidnaps them and forces them through vigorous brainwashing, using their disdain of Sonic and exaggerating their pain to such extremes that they feel nothing but hatred for him. He also "rectifies" their powerlessness by giving them powers which he portrays as "enhancements." This explains why they're such weaklings when it comes to their powers: unlike Sonic, Tails, or even Amy, they did not grow into their abilities and have no natural combat prowess. The cognitive dissonance keeping them from achieving their fullest potential is that they want to survive more than they want to fight. Therefore, their first instinct in a combat situation is to run, presenting an annoying hitch in Starline's plans. This explains why Surge has to fight off panic attacks and will begin to cry when engaging a powerful foe like Sonic, often taking swings through tears. Kit can, of course, use her tears to help her conduct a more powerful electric shock, but he notes that he doesn't like doing it. Surge demands that he does so anyhow, implying she feels her suffering doesn't matter. Ironically enough, their will to live overrides the effects of the codified metal virus that helps heal their injuries. During training, Surge almost dies when she mistimes a jump over a spike pit and gets impaled. This experience, followed by Starline's vehement berating of the pair as "useless," traumatizes Kit. Over time, their hatred of Starline grows as his abusive nature becomes harder to ignore. They really don't understand his obsession with Eggman. Eventually, they come to view Sonic, Eggman, Starline, and indeed the world that failed them, as equally worthless. One day, Surge catches Kit playing with a doll made out of scrap metal. She immediately begins to tremble, though she doesn't know why, and slaps the doll out of his hand. Stop that, you idiot; weapons don't play. Kit offers a feeble excuse. I was just… setting up a combat simulation. Yeah, yeah. You do you, Skippy.
Don't you mean Drippy?
Whatever. Surge keeps her mouth shut about the incident, feigning insolence when Starline later grills her, shoving the footage in her face. What, like you don't have your weirdo hobbies? Leave the kid alone. That's when Surge and Kit conspire to tie Starline to a chair and decides to give him a taste of his own medicine. Hey there, doc. You seem stressed. Welcome to therapy. :)
At first, Kit was as enthused as Surge about payback, but soon grew more apprehensive as Starline's protests quieted. Eventually, Starline falls asleep - Kit notes, because of his insomnia - and much to Surge's annoyance, the two must use this chance to make their escape.
When Starline wakes, he makes a recording believing himself to be Eggman, and the experience as a bad dream foisted upon him by Sonic and Tails.

ok ok so I’m relatively new to the Sun/Mira-verses (also, fellow OP(LA) fan, hi) and as soon as I saw the name “Gol D. Mira” I was like hell yes (give that man a daughter I love it!!) but now I’m curious… as a certified Ace Stan™️ does he factor in to your canon at all?
First of all, hey hi welcome ❤️
Second of all I'm welcoming you're with bitter disappointment, because Ace and Sun/Mira are very ships in the night in both verses (and yes I am sad about it 😢)
Imma put it under a cut though for those who are not up to speed with the Ace of it all and don't want ot spoiled 😉
Mira in a way has it better, because she never meets him and doesn’t even know he exists until after he's dead.
When Shanks found him he was going to find her (because they were... not together for very sad, dramatic reasons), but when he tried to - pretty much literally - shake her location out of Buggy, the clown let it slip that it was probably for the best if he stayed away (also for very dramatic and sad reasons^^).
So of course she is saddened to learn that she lost a brother she didn’t even know existed, but it doesn't affect her that much tbh.
Sun lived in Windmill Village for years and only leftover a while after Garp moved Luffy from the village. So yes, she knows the weird kid trying to pick fights over "what if Gol D Roger had a kid? 😡", but she doesn't pay him much mind, because she doesn’t know anything about her own parentage, so why would she assume that they could somehow be related (especially when he is the spitting image of their father while she looks like her mother)?
Other than her Oro Jackson!verse counterpart though, she is at Marinefold when shit hits the fan - more to make sure that Luffy doesn’t get himself killed trying to save Ace than to actually aid in his rescue. Things go about as great as you'd expecting and in the end Ace is dead, Luffy shipped off somewhere is in catatonic shock and Sun finds herself gravely injured aboard the Red Force - mourning her personal loss and the factually that her reunion with Shanks is aa far from what she always imagined it than possible.
It's days before she even allows anyone other than the doctor to see her (although she has a feeling that Shanks comes and sits with her at night) and so it's only after Ace's funeral that she learns the truth about her own past and parentage and her relation to him. And amongst the many things she feels (mostly anger and borderline hatred at Shanks for keeping all this from her) she also feels sad and angry and guilty that she missed her brother's funeral because she was too busy "feeling sorry for herself" (and also injured and all that so it's not like she was being petuliant or anything, it's just more misplaced anger that has nowhere to go).
To cut a long story short - I am so sorry to disappoint an Ace Stan™️ but we're at minimal Ace capacity here 🙈

Author Ask Tag Game
Well this is a biggin! Thanks for the TAG @gummybugg
I send an invite to @asterhaze (Lol I know gummy tagged ya but nyeh) @angie-j-kay @tailoroffates @tisiphonewolfe @lola-theshowgrl @conkers-theficwriter (that's right I got you and your alt, talk about that fanfic!) @stanrendipity @randomstupidchaos @catchingbigfish
I'll be centering my attention on Rituals and Red Tape because I am nothing if not self-indulgent of my baby.
(1) What is the main lesson of your story (e.g. kindness, diversity, anti-war), and why did you choose it?
Your adversities are with you but do not have to define you Bodies are meant to be used as an expression of ones self Corporations are eldritch entities who no matter how much love they shove up your ass will replace you in a heart beat There are no true transitory spaces with which your actions can be left behind, what you may see as a place to visit is someone else's home. Angry Nihilism is the easiest and most childest response to discovering you are not the main character of a story. and Let others be content in their life, not everyone wants to be out there making a name for themselves.
Why did I choose these? To be completely honest I didn't set out with them in mind. These are what has sprung up as I delved into writing more and more and was finding some elements that were hidden from me while I fiddled with the keys. These are as much lessons for an audience as they are for myself.
(2) What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding (like real-life cultures, animals, famous media, websites, etc.)?
So I know the stigma that was (maybe still is) attached to this statement but it comes from my dreams. Wait wait wait let me explain! So for a while I have had (although I haven't for a little bit) an ongoing sort of continuous dream. Not like the same dream over and over but more these dreams take place in the same location and I am always in this same role. I would give my partner "lore updates" every so often because it was something fun. Well on a long car ride (3hr) we spent the time chit chatting and I realized I wanted to make a story out of this. So during the same car ride the basic skeleton of the story started to emerge. Then wham bam thank ya mam fast forward and here we are. A lot of the world building also just kinda spring from my own imagination. Like I'm sure I maybe got the pieces from soooomewhere but can't tell ya, unless they are an obvious reference to something like the Giants on The Farm being "as tall as windmill" being a reference to Don Quixote, just small little nuggets here and there.
(3) What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, help readers grow as a person?
Alex is honestly just trying to get through each assignment with all their limbs still on their body and as little paperwork to do as possible. They just want to have a nice easy life that is comfortably mundane. What I want to do is entertain first and foremost. Like sure my stuff can have lessons and morals and whattheshit but if it isn't entertaining to at least one person I feel I have failed. And also, maybe help someone who needs to work through some stuff do so through Alex or anyone else in the book. I can't say for certain that can or will happen but there is always a chance.
(4) How many chapters is your story going to have?
No idea, as many as it needs to be told in full. I'll know when we get there lol.
(5) Is it fanfiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?
Teehee time to self promote! This is original content. And I post the first draft chapters on here but I post the more edited and more concrete chapters on my WattPad MaxwellAlabaster I try and have the stuff on here accessible through their own dedicated pages on my blog and up to date.
(6) When and why did you start writing?
I started to write this story about a year ago. It started as a writing only for me kind of thing as I was dealing with some life stuff. But, once I started to write and post my stuff on here I really fell in love with the hobby and putting my things out there for people to hopefully enjoy!
(7) Do you have any words of engagement for fellow writers of Writeblr? What other writers of Tumblr do you follow?
Despite my verboseness I can be quite shy and anxious. So i tend to follow people who follow me first lol. It's not out of a self inflated ego but an uneasy feeling. So far it's worked out well and I've really enjoyed the people I have interacted with! Even if it's just getting little hearts here and there.
Something I adopted early and fully: Write for yourself (but we've all heard that before!) Fine! Write slop. Like just absolute pig pleasing slop. Not everything needs to be the next big seller, the most enjoyable, or "good" piece of literature. Write what makes you happy and what you have fun writing. Go outside your comfort zone and make an absolute mess of it all. You don't have to post everything after all. This is advice for even those of you that rely on writing for an income. When you can, just write the hottest and most fun garbage that you want. It's really refreshing to just go hog wild and look at the word doc or whatever and go "Wow...this is horrible, I love it".
Also don't let people tell you there is only one way to write. Like yeah grammar and stuff is good for being comprehensible, but there is power in each punctuation you use;or leave out~ Get flowery with your language too sometime Steve doesn't cheer; sometimes his voice carries so high the birds grow jealous.
Lastly: you don't need an english degree or whatever to be a writer, look at me, I have a freakin science degree. Did you put words on a page to convey a meaning of feeling? You are a writer. Don't let others take that away from you. You are a writer because you write dam it.
#writing#writeblr#tag game#rituals and red tape#thanks for the tag#got a little strong there at the end#I have big feelings and that is okay#We should gatekeep gatekeeping#You are a writer because you write

Hey, we remember you saying something about Vi not being too great at machines a while back. Would you mind quoting that at us? We can't figure out where that dialogue was and we don't want to trawl through all of the dialogue in the game to find the relevant line.
sure! I can't recall the context of me saying that right now, but there's definitely a couple moments that fit with that I can find
[from spying some of the workers in the golden settlement power plant; probably the most relevant one]
Vi: The Power Plant's way cooler than the factory. How come I never got any shifts here!?
Leif: Those Bees seem to be operating very complex machines. Do you know how to?
Vi: I, uh, I'm sure I'd press the right buttons…
Kabbu: Thankfully for everyone, exploring's your one true calling!
[same location, the first examination of the energy converter machine; definitely another supporting piece]
Kabbu: Vi, what is this machine?

Exploring Menorca’s Historic Towns with a Rental Car
Menorca, an island steeped in history and culture, is home to a collection of charming towns that tell stories of its rich past. From cobblestone streets to ancient architecture, Menorca’s towns are a treasure trove for history enthusiasts. The best way to experience these historic gems is by choosing to rent a car in Menorca, giving you the freedom to travel at your own pace and uncover the island’s hidden wonders.
Why Rent a Car in Menorca to Explore Historic Towns?
While public transportation in Menorca is available, it often doesn’t cover all the smaller historic towns and remote areas. Renting a car allows you to:
Visit towns off the beaten path.
Customize your itinerary without time constraints.
Experience the scenic countryside between destinations.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the must-visit historic towns you can explore with your rental car.
1. Ciutadella: The Former Capital
Ciutadella, Menorca’s former capital, is a vibrant town filled with history and charm. Its old quarter, known as “Es Born,” features narrow streets, stunning palaces, and Gothic architecture. Highlights include the Ciutadella Cathedral and the picturesque harbor. Car Travel Tip: Park near the outskirts of the town center and explore the area on foot for a hassle-free experience.
2. Mahón (Maó): The Current Capital
Mahón, the island’s capital, boasts one of the largest natural harbors in the world. The town is a blend of Georgian architecture, remnants of British rule, and Mediterranean charm. Don’t miss the Mercado del Claustro del Carmen and the Santa María Church. Why Rent a Car? Driving to Mahón allows you to stop at nearby attractions like Fort Marlborough or the ruins of Trepucó.
3. Fornells: A Fishing Village with History
Known for its traditional Menorcan seafood, Fornells is a quaint fishing village with a historical twist. Visit the Torre de Fornells, an 18th-century watchtower built by the British, and enjoy the serene bay views. Car Access Tip: The village is easily reachable by car, and parking is available near the waterfront.
4. Alaior: A Town of Art and Culture
Alaior is a vibrant town known for its artisan shops and traditional architecture. Stroll through its narrow streets and visit the Church of Santa Eulalia, which offers panoramic views of the town. What to Expect: It’s a smaller town, but the surrounding countryside is perfect for scenic drives.
5. Es Mercadal: At the Foot of Monte Toro
Es Mercadal, located at the base of Menorca’s highest peak, Monte Toro, is a charming town with whitewashed buildings and traditional markets. Don’t miss a drive up Monte Toro for breathtaking island views and a visit to the sanctuary at the summit. Pro Tip: Renting a car in Menorca is the easiest way to reach Monte Toro, as public transport doesn’t go all the way up.
6. Es Castell: A Glimpse of British Influence
Located near Mahón, Es Castell reflects the British colonial history of Menorca. Its military origins are evident in the architecture, especially at the Plaça de s'Esplanada. The fishing harbor of Cales Fonts is a must-visit for its charming restaurants and views. Car Access Tip: Es Castell is just a short drive from Mahón, making it an easy addition to your itinerary.
7. Sant Lluís: A French-Inspired Town
Founded during French rule, Sant Lluís is known for its straight streets and charming windmills. The Moli de Dalt, a restored windmill, offers insight into the town’s agricultural past. Why It’s Worth It: It’s a quieter town that provides a unique contrast to Menorca’s other historic spots.
8. Binibeca: A Picturesque White Village
Binibeca is less of a town and more of an architectural gem. This whitewashed village is a photographer’s dream, with its narrow alleyways and quaint courtyards. Car Access Tip: Parking is available near the entrance, and the village is best explored on foot.
9. Ferreries: A Town Surrounded by Nature
Ferreries is a small town nestled in the hills, known for its traditional crafts and proximity to natural attractions. Stop by the Church of Sant Bartomeu and enjoy the relaxed pace of life here. Bonus: It’s a great starting point for exploring Menorca’s scenic countryside by car.
10. El Castell de Sant Felip
While not a town, this historic fortress near Mahón is a fascinating spot for history buffs. Built in the 16th century, it played a crucial role in Menorca’s military history. Why Visit by Car? Its location is best accessed with a rental car, allowing you to combine the visit with other nearby historic sites.
Conclusion: Discover Menorca’s History with a Rental Car
Exploring Menorca’s historic towns by car offers an unparalleled experience, blending convenience with the freedom to discover hidden gems. Renting a car in Menorca allows you to journey beyond the well-trodden paths, uncovering the island’s rich history and unique cultural tapestry.
If you’re planning your Menorcan adventure, don’t hesitate to rent a car in Menorca. Whether it’s the cobblestone streets of Ciutadella, the British influence in Es Castell, or the whitewashed charm of Binibeca, a rental car ensures you won’t miss a moment of the island’s historic beauty. Start planning your trip today and embark on a journey through Menorca’s timeless treasures.

I've seen folks complaining that in IDW Sonic somics there ain't much of worldbuilding and such. And while I agree (seriously, not many location names come to mind right away tbh, all I can remember on-spot is Windmill Village, and Central City which most people know from games anyway), my own major beef with Sonic worldbuilding as a whole is this: SEGA, LET YOUR CREATORS BE FULLY CREATIVE AND LET THEM SHOW US THE WORLD WITH *BOTH* HUMANS AND MOBIANS.
Like COME ON - in games it's been "mostly humans around" (well, until Forces, at least), in IDW comics - "mostly mobians" (and I know they're not even called mobians, who even knows how they're called in game/IDW-verse, which hey - ANOTHER BEEF HERE). Can't you just... balance it out already? Like actually show us the mixed world IN-GAME/IN-COMIC, not mention off-handedly in a side-project (yeah, that one TailsTube episode). PLEEEEEASE.
(I just REALLY want to see human-mobian interactions aside the ones we've seen in games where the main cast were... basically the only mobians) (is this too much to ask?)
#bluh bluh bluh#sth#like seriously#if we look at both games and comics - at least Central City is clearly populated by BOTH humans and mobians#it's just NOT SHOWN#and I have a feeling that many of big cities like that have mixed populations as well#okay I also understand that there should be things left out for the fanbase's free interpretation#but SERIOUSLY#I wish there was a bit more than what's been said in the first TailsTube episode#okay rant over thank you everyone have a nice day

Creating an Effective Scarecrow: The Ultimate DIY Solution to Protect Your Garden from Pests
Traditionally used by farmers to deter birds from their fields and crops, scarecrows have also found a place in home and garden decor, Halloween celebrations, and even creative contests in rural communities. This article will guide you through the process of creating your own scarecrow, from traditional designs to more playful and innovative ideas. We'll also cover some essential tips for building your own DIY scarecrow, as well as provide a variety of scarecrow ideas to inspire you. So, put on your crafting hat and get ready to dive into the world of scarecrow making!
The Art of Scaring Pests Away: Crafting Your Ultimate Scarecrow
As gardeners, we wage a constant battle with the pesky critters that threaten to devour the fruits of our labor. But fear not! For I have discovered the secret weapon that will safeguard your precious patch of greenery—the mighty scarecrow. Join me on this whimsical journey as we delve into the art of scarecrow-building and conquer the forces of nature.
The Scarecrow's Purpose: Beyond a Simple Deterrent
1. A scarecrow is not merely a decorative addition to your garden—it fulfills a vital mission. Its job is to instill fear in the hearts of pests, to make them think twice before wreaking havoc on your beloved plants.
2. Picture this: a crow swoops down, eyes gleaming with mischief, about to feast on your freshly planted seeds. Just as it reaches for a bite, it spots your scarecrow—a fearsome guardian with outstretched arms. The crow hesitates, its beady eyes narrowing, and decides it's better to take its mischief elsewhere. Victory!
Remember, the power of a scarecrow lies not only in its physical form, but also in the fear it ignites in the minds of pests.
The Art of Scarecrow Crafting: A Step-by-Step Guide
1. Choose your scarecrow's materials wisely. Opt for sturdy, weather-resistant materials such as bamboo poles, old clothes, and burlap sacks. These will ensure your scarecrow stands tall against the elements.
2. Assemble your scarecrow's body, firmly attaching the bamboo poles together with twine or wire. Allow your creativity to shine as you dress it in old clothes—don't forget to give it a personality with a hat or a silly accessory.
3. Position your scarecrow strategically. Place it in a prominent location, like the center of your garden, where it can be easily seen by intruders. Keep in mind that movement adds an extra layer of effectiveness, so consider attaching a windmill or another mechanism to make your scarecrow come alive.
Remember, your masterpiece is not just a figure in a field, but a guardian that will protect your haven from harm.
Scaring Pests with a Personal Touch
1. To enhance your scarecrow's deterrent powers, add personal touches. Hang old CDs or tin foil strips from its arms, creating flashes of light that will give critters a scare.
2. Scarecrows are also excellent storytellers. As you work, think of the tales your scarecrow could share—perhaps it can tell tales of legendary battles against garden intruders, or it can simply be a friendly presence that keeps you company while you tend to your plants.
3. Finally, remember to maintain your scarecrow. Just as friendships require effort, your scarecrow will need occasional touch-ups and adjustments to remain effective. Keep an eye out for wear and tear, and be ready to repair any damage.
Now, armed with this guide, venture forth into the realm of scarecrow-building and turn your garden into a fortress. Let your imagination run wild and create a guardian that will strike fear into the hearts of pests, ensuring your garden thrives. Happy crafting!
