at a fancy dinner

yeonjun is really excited when it comes to fancy, romantic outings but this one was going to be the best one of all. Of course, that’s because of his proposal plans. He is definitely the kind of guy that sort of spoils it or gives hints because he tells you to go out and get your nails, hair, etc… done. especially emphasizes getting your nails done. He covers it up by saying he loves seeing you all pretty and pampered but deep down, you sort of know what he’s hinting at. Anyways, moving on to dinner. He takes you to a fancy new restaurant that just opened in the city. It was on the top floor of some fancy building. There was a view of the city from where you both were seated at a small booth. He was sitting right next to you and talking your ear off about the day he’d had at work. He didn;t even drink, opting to let you order a drink so he can drive home. He buys you whatever you want to eat and watches you enjoy your food with those adorable, lovesick eyes. You whine at him to stop watching you but he says he can’t help but watch the love of his life. Eventually, he takes you out onto the patio of this restaurant and it was pretty empty since there were only a few more couples around. He takes in the view with you and asks you to take a cute video with him. He sets up his phone at a good angle and presses the record. He goes back to you and kisses your cheek. He takes your distraction as an opportunity to pull the ring out of his pants pocket and when he pulls away, he gets down on one knee and proposes. “Will you do me the biggest favor ever and be my Mrs. Choi?”

Soobin was never one for big romantic gestures and he was happy that you were okay with it. His ideal date was at home, snuggled up on the couch or in a pillow fort, watching movies or playing video games together. sure, he did take you on little outings once in a while but he preferred staying home. When it came to his proposal plans, his logic was to stay home, plan and cook a little dinner and use all the extra money to buy you the prettiest ring he could find. He loved the whole ring shopping process “i know this probably isn't from some of the members. anyways, he tells you of his date plans for the night and you were into it. He tells you to dress normally with one of his hoodies and your favorite sweatpants or leggings (soobin loves your legs in leggings btw. he said so). you come in and he is dressed relaxed as well in those gray sweats you liked and a t-shirt you gave him as part of his birthday gift. He serves your dinners and then he takes you to his bed, getting comfortable together. after one episode of that new anime the both of you had started, he turns over to get something from his nightstand. he shuffles to sit on his knees and reveals the box to you, opening it shortly after. "i know this probably isn't the best proposal but we’ve had such a nice night. I love spending time at home with you. can we be homebodies together, forever?'' You nod and hug him super tight and he returns the hog. He gives you a sweet kiss after putting the ring on your finger and you two go back to watching your show and cuddling.

This man is so cute when it comes to a proposal. Let’s just say for the sake of this story that he takes you on an LA trip and you both have a knotts berry farm day! You two decided to skip out on disney because you two have already been together on a previous trip. You both also really wanted to see all of the snoopy memorabilia. You both have an amazing day getting on rides, drinking boysenberry juice and talking to each other the whole time. He loves seeing you so happy so he never says no to you not once that whole day. He lets you drag him to all of the performances happening at the park and even lets you take a picture of him with Snoopy, making finger guns at one another. As the day starts to wind down, you both decided to go souvenir shopping. Huening specifically requested a snoopy t-shirt so you both went to find him one. Beomgyu asks you to pick the t-shirt and he stays behind to find a snoopy plush to include in his proposal. He finds one and pays for it, as well as the requested souvenir you picked. He takes you back out to the park and you both take a seat to rest for a while before leaving the park. You take out your phone and dont notice when he turns around. He takes the plush out of the store bag and the ring out of his bag. He puts it in the plushies hand and turns back around. He taps your shoulder and you are met with a snoopy with an engagement ring in his hand. “Will you marry me, pretty lady?” he says in a high pitched voice and you gasp so loud that people turn around to look. You are absolutely red but you nod and beomgyu makes the plush put the ring on your finger. You call him a dork but he doesn't mind. He's your dork, forever. 

taehyun

at the beach

you and taehyun went to the beach often. it was always so quiet, especially when you two visited at night. These outings were frequent, especially when you both went to travel somewhere different. In this case though, you were both home in Korean. Taehyun was on a small break during the summer time before their next tour and he decided that now was as good as ever to propose. He drove the both of you to your favorite beach at around 8pm. On the way there, you both made stops to get dinner and then to pick up some snacks to enjoy while hanging out at the beach. Once you both get there, Taehyun sets up your beach blanket and you both sit down, starting to snack on some grapes. Taehyun took about 30 minutes before he decided to ask you. He scoots close to you and pulls the little box out of his bag. you give him a confused look and he opens it, looking at your shocked reaction. He wanted to give a whole speech but his words got stuck in his throat when he saw your reaction. you say yes to him and he hugs you, slipping the ring on after.

in your hometown / family dinner

I think kai is really big when it comes to family so having your family present for such a big event was important for him. Not only that, it was also really important for him to get along with your family and have their approval. So, during this trip to your hometown over a winter break, he sends you off to go shopping with your close cousin/sibling. He takes this opportunity to gather the rest of your family and ask for their approval to propose to you and of course they say yes! They even help him plan a whole thing. They were excited to see that he loved you a lot and cared enough to ask for their opinions and approval. This especially swayed your parents, who came up to him after and had a little chat with him about what they’d do if he ever hurt you. Moving on….you come back home from shopping and you show kai all your finds! Later on that night, your family is all gathered together in the backyard around a bonfire, having drinks and chatting. After a little while, your family gives kai strange looks and you’re sitting there absolutely confused. Kai looked over at you and smiled, “hey baby. I wanna ask you something. Will you do me a big honor and marry me?” he pulls out the ring and as soon as you say yes, he slips it on your finger and everyone cheers!

Hello Akhi! I am your Summer Secret Pal! I hope you enjoy this gift made for you! I remembered Anitha was a Jersey girl (like me!) and I imagined that she would want some memories from her childhood and home as she went off to Penderghast. So, I made this edit, I imagine she'd have this hung in her room!

Since Anitha loves nature, this is a picture of a vista from her home state of NJ, as well as a photo of her at Von Thun Farms when she was a toddler. Von Thun's is about 20 minutes away from Princeton, and it's a very popular place for families—there are lots of photo ops all around, and this is one her parents took advantage of! The leg cast was after the motorbike accident when she was 10 years old. Her love of nature is reflected in how she decorated it.

Anitha knows she can do anything, and she's known it since she was a little girl. So a childhood hero, the yellow ranger, is here to remind her of that.

Her parents' nickname, "Ani," is prominently displayed to remind her of their love and support.

The bisexual flag made with pictures from nature seemed perfectly fitting for her!

If she grew up in Jersey, she definitely spent some time at the Jersey Shore (which is NOTHING like it is on the TV show, I might add! lol). In the upper right corner, there is a cluster of photo memories and a few tickets (used for boardwalk rides/games) as souvenirs. The photos are of an amusement pier, seated at a boardwalk game, and playing in the sand.

Right in the center is a picture of Penderghast, and just under it, her acceptance letter! This represents her future, surrounded by her past which brought her here.

Lower left is from her Princeton High School graduation, the logo of PHS, and her HS graduation tassel.

Lower right (this is one of my favorites!) If she was raised in the Hindu faith and lived in the state of NJ, she had to visit BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham. This is the second-largest Hindu mandir in the world, and it's an absolutely beautiful place. Anitha knows there is a type of magic here, as well. This is about 30 minutes from her home in Princeton, and I imagine she would have had many visits here. I imagine that is her foster mom in one of the photos.

I hope I did a good job of capturing Anitha's childhood memories, and I hope this brought a smile to you today!

HOT DAMN ITS BEEN A MINUTE! I know I’m sorry y’all life has just been all up in the way for the past couple weeks/months but I’m back now! It’s late where I’m at so I will get started with the Matchmaker post as soon as I can but for now please enjoy this head cannon thing I wrote for y’all, it’s been in my drafts forever now but I figured sure why not, let’s finish it up and post part 1! Terribly sorry about my sudden disappearance but I have found that nothing quite fills the void more than being on here and sharing experiences with all of you! Thank you for you patience I do apologize once again, you have all been tremendous and I love you for it.

Without further ado let’s get in to it!

Recently I went to the fair and the entire time I could only think about how the Hashira would act. Therefore I decided to write and I hope you all enjoy. (Me from the future here, went to the fair and had an amazing time! Enjoy some pictures! More at the bottom)

Btw this is all based on my opinion and has no actual evidence to back it up.

Warnings: Sanemi traumatizes entire fair. But no seriously like heights, someone almost falling off a ride. That’s it tho.

The Hashira at The Fair

Part 1!

Kyojuro Rengoku:

I love Rengoku, everyone knows that. He is my comfort character, my baby daddy, if you will. So maybe I am partial but I think he would be one of the funniest characters at the fair, let me elaborate.

In my belief, he would be in charge of the entire operation. He buys the tickets, he organizes it, he rallies everyone together, but most of all he is there to ensure that everyone has a good time AND a safe time.

“Seat belts everyone!” *in ms. Frizzle’s voice*

Think I’m playing? Absolutely not. Rengoku is on the ball when it comes to height requirements and restrictions, too tall or too short that’s too bad.

Seatbelts? Don’t make me laugh. Before the ride starts Kyojuro is running and making sure all seatbelts are up to code and are fastened. He does not care if you battle some of the most violent and horrid demons there are, you will be safe at the fair.

Will question the structural integrity of the rides themselves.

Kyojuro. They are consistently taken down and put up in a span of a week, there will be stuff missing and there will be issues. It’s best not to ask.

Nevertheless he does end up having a good time. He throughly enjoys the rides that are as follows: The Scrambler-you get into these little booths and it moves around really fast in almost a star shape pattern. Whole lot of fun, one of my favorites. The Alien Abduction- it’s just an alien ship shaped building that spins around really fast. The g force sticks you too the wall. Really fun, kinda dizzy afterwards (much like sleeping with Kyojuro). And then finally The Nitro. It’s essentially a huge swing, but it’s like a swing on steroids. It’s really fast and sends you really high, this one is prolly my favorite.

Kyojuro is pretty tame when it comes to trying all the rides and when it comes to others being too short or too tall for one of the rides, he feels that he should stay beside them and keep them company so they don’t feel left out. He really wants to make sure everyone had a good time.

On terms of food served at the fair, I think he would really enjoy funnel cakes. That isn’t to say he didn’t eat atleast one of everything. (Him and Mitsuri spent a lot of time trying the fair food. They ate 6 funnel cakes. The poor people working at the food trucks were beyond stressed with how much they were eating and buying. The lemonade guy couldn’t keep up😔).

On the subject of games, Kyojuro enjoyed the darts and ring toss. Extremely good at both and as a result came home with a ton of stuffed animals. The biggest one being a stuffed sloth. Very much enjoys his sloth and let’s it sit next to his bed. (Cuddles with it sometimes, but nobody knows). Won a ton of prizes for Shinobu and Mitsuri. Gave a bunch to Gyomie as well for the kids at the orphanage. After a short talk it was decided that they come back the next day to bring the kids.

In conclusion these are the same people and you can’t tell me otherwise. 12/10 had a great time and will be coming back.

Uzui Tengen

Oh man, Uzui Tengen and his wives at the fair. Be still my heart.

Number 1. BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT HOW GOTDAMN CUTE THIS SHIT FINNA BE.

Number 2. Let’s not lie to ourselves or anyone else by denying that Tengen and the girls are literally the cutest relationship I’ve ever seen.

So y’all already KNOW that they gonna be having the most fun, well almost. Let me explain.

Ok so we know that Suma can be a little skittish, and Makio kinda makes it worse if I’m not gonna lie simple because when Suma does get nervous Makio can be a little harsh.

Which then results in Tengen feeling more of babysitter rather a husband taking his wives out for a fun evening. I know you maybe wondering where I’m going with this but please, bear with me.

The Ferris Wheel. A staple of the amusement industry, all with its bright lights and soaring heights, it’s no wonder it’s one of the most iconic and recognized piece of fair equipment. That being said, if you have never riding on a Ferris wheel, I do not recommend it for the faint of heart. Not it is not fast, and no it doesn’t sling you around like some of the rides, but if you have a fear of heights or just not prepared, the ride itself can be a bit jarring.

Therefore, when Tengen and his wonderful, beautiful, lovely wives all got on to the ride, it was at that moment Suma had begun to sweat. First the booth went up and then stopped, and then again, and again and again, till they were at the very top of the ride. Of course Tengen wasn’t nearly as impressed because he could jump higher than the peak of the Ferris wheel but still he acted as if he was enjoying himself. Everyone was except for Suma.

Suma clung to Tengen’s arm, this in return caused Makio to fuss. As the two of them got into it, the booth started to sway back and forth. This of course caused Suma to become even more scared.

The rest of the ride was spent trying to calm both of them down.

Btw Kyojuro was sweating the entire time as they were not adhering to the rules of The Ferris Wheel.

Absolutely shameful.

Eventually the Ferris wheel ride ended. Suma in tears, Makio still fussing all the while Hinatsuru and Tengen desperately tried to separate the two.

Rest of the evening went off without a hitch, every one of the girls got a large stuffed animal. (Tengen won these at one of those strength games. Yk the one with the big hammer and a bell at the top). (He broke it).

They all four took really cute pictures together, in fact they got several with all the hashira! 11/10 wonderful evening will definitely be coming back to the fair, next time he will be prepared for if and when Suma gets scared on the Ferris Wheel or other tall rides.

Gyomei Himejima:

Oof alright.

So.

He’s a big man, like a VERY big MAN.

7 feet 2 inches and HALF! THATS A BIG DUDE.

And I’m sure you could already understand that yes, he unfortunately wasn’t allowed on many of the rides. But☝️. He found other ways to enjoy the fair!

Let me tell y’all, this man is a BEAST at fair games. Ring toss? Boom, undefeated. Darts? Bodied. Cornhole? Didn’t even faze him. Dunk the clown? Dude shoulda just stayed in the water bc either way he was gonna get there with Gyomei throwing strikes every time. He was doing so well that carnies were getting mad. Not only that a crowd had eventually formed around him; watching in utter astonishment as the giant man (blind, giant man, was ABSOLUTELY BRUTALIZING THESE GAMES).

More specifically…the dart throwing incident.

Let me set the mood for ya. Kinda give you a bit of a visual explanation as to better explain the where, when, who, for this scene.

The sun had long set, the cool night air filled with laughter and excitement as the fair continued into the evening. Lights, music, the cacophony of peoples voices, and the smell of fried foods are what make up the atmosphere of the game booths and rides. Except for one game at the far end of a long and winding path of fair games. There an unusually large man stood with three darts in his hand. One by one he carefully picked them out and threw them towards the board. Each bullseye had a little red balloon in the center, every line had a number of prizes one could win. But if one were to hit directly in the center they would win a large prize. You had three chances to win a big prize, the target to the left, the target in the middle, and the target to the right. If someone were to hit all three bullseyes they would not only win three big prizes but they also win an extra three chances.

Kyojuro explained the rules to Gyomei and handed him the darts. Not a moment after that three distinct pops could be heard ring out in the surrounding area.

A hush fell over the people who were waiting patiently behind him, even the woman who ran the booth seemed amazed at Gyomie’s win. She allowed him to pick out three large stuffed animals and handed him the darts back.

Once more balloons were blown up and set into position, Gyomei played again.

The woman turned to see that once again all the balloons had been popped, all three darts sat perfect in the center of each target. She was flabbergasted! She couldn’t even speak, it was rare as it was seeing someone who could hit all three targets but dead center 6 times in a row?!?! She shook her head looking at Gyomei and then back at the board, once more at Gyomei and then again back at the board.

Once she regained her composure she removed the darts, filled the balloons again, and handed the darts to him.

“Well done! Let’s see if you can do it a third!” She said, she eyed him closely as she was sure something was amiss.

Now the line of people behind him turned into a small group surrounding him, they all whispered and talked amongst themselves as they watched him carefully.

Silently Gyomie picked out his darts and threw them one by one.

The crowd erupted in cheers! He had done it again! The woman now clearly sweating as Gyomie had only spent 1 dollar and had won 9 prizes! Suddenly the people that stood next to him began throwing dollars and quarters at the woman, screaming that she give him the darts and let him play again.

As more commotion began to erupt, more people were gathered to the booth to watch him play. Some of the other fair goers even went as far as placing bets on Gyomie, wagering when the woman running the booth would eventually kick him out as she was running out of balloons and prizes.

Gyomie played a perfect game 6 times before Kyojuro thought it best to go play another game. He won 18 prizes from that game alone😐. They went to the ping pong in a bowl game, he won 12 goldfish.

At the end of the night Gyomie had more prizes THAN ANYONE IN THE HISTORY OF FAIR GAME PLAYERS EVER WON. So many in fact he stood next to the Caterpillar roller coaster for the kids and gave out a toy for every kid that came by.

That night Gyomie became more than a Hashira. He became a martyr, a light for those who had been burned by sleazy fair games, never again would they lose hope as it was he who came and won them all.

13/10 he had an amazing time, but cried when the lady said he was too good and needed to play another game. He felt bad and later came back to apologize and she gave him a hug. He cried once again.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

He is immediately kicked out.

Jk jk but like fr tho👀 he acted a fool.

Not even gonna lie to y’all, yall see this man, no but do y’all really see this man. He is 5 foot 10 inches of pure malice. (He’s soft baby on this inside but this is not important to the story). Straight menace behavior, DO NOT TELL ME IM WRONG.

He cut every line, and when people tried to protest to this he only turned around and glared at them with his cold eyes🥶 most people would stare back and tremble in terror, one man even began to weep as he looked into Sanemi’s eyes. The man later mumbled that he had peered into hell and hell peered back. (The man was traumatized for lack of a better term, needed therapy, he’s doing better now tho).

Sanemi rode every ride and played every game, he even got into a fight with one of the clowns! (In Sanemi’s defense the clown had it coming). But besides all that Sanemi found most enjoyment out of terrifying the other participants on the rides. In one instance, he turned to the woman sitting next to him and offhandedly mentioned that the seat she was sitting in didn’t latch all the way. As it was theses seats for this specific ride had a bit of give to them when you pushed the pull down part of the harness. She instinctively pushed the bar and it moved a bit before clicking, she turned to look at him and before she had the chance to alert the ride operator, the ride began to swing.

Once the ride had finished the woman was convinced her life had nearly ended due to a faulty ride harness. She immediately got off the ride and ran into the crowd, but her fear wasn’t entirely that of the ride’s seats, it was partially because as she started to scream and beg for dear life, Sanemi erupted in laughter. The scariest part was being seated next to him for the entirety of the ride.

This some how only fueled his behavior. Next he wanted to take it to the next level. He wanted to scare everyone, the people on the ride, the operators, even those who weren’t riding. Each ride he got on he made an effort to terrify everyone. Whether it be him yelling that ride was falling apart or dropping pieces of nuts and bolts close to the operators. This only aroused his hunger. He needed to take it one step further.

There is a ride called The Umbrella, The Octopus, The plane ride, whatever you want to call it, it’s the same ride. It’s giant tower that has a bunch of swings hanging from it, first it starts of slow and low to the ground, it is then risen off the ground and high above the pavement in which it begins to swing faster. This is a VERY tame ride compared to others as it isn’t extremely fast and it’s also not extremely high when compared to the Ring of Fire (one of Sanemi’s favorites although it did make him slightly sick) and the Ferris Wheel (got bored and started throwing nuts and bolts off the side, surprisingly didn’t hit anyone but as people noticed what they assumed were parts that had fallen off the ride, left the line in search of something “safer”). Sanemi cut to the front of the line and went to find the perfect swing, one was wrapped in caution tape and the seat belt was no longer there. Quickly and quietly he removed the tape and sat down, wrapping what little remained around his waist as it then would appear he did have a seatbelt on. The operator came by and only glanced at Sanemi before going to start the ride. He sat back and chuckled knowing he was going to enjoy this more out of any other he had been on that day. Slowly the ride started and before long he was hoisted several meters from the ground, swing softly through the cool air. He took in a deep breath to savor the moment, it was relaxing being so far up from the chaos, listening to the music and watching the bright colorful lights. Without a moments notice he slipped from the seat and began to scream.

The people below looked up to one of the most horrifying sights there was to see, up in the air a man hung from his swing, his hands gripping to one of the chains that held the swing. He writhed and kicked his feet as he yelled for someone to help. Most if not all began to scream and point. Others got the attention of the operator who hurriedly tried to lower the ride. Every passenger aboard that night gripped their seats and cried. Soon the whole fair watched with bated breath, parents shielded their children, others ran to get help, most stared in shock. The whole while Sanemi cackled in between screams.

The authorities were notified and by the time they arrived with paramedics on scene, the ride had ended and Sanemi was nowhere to be found. This was because he fled and hid himself within the crowd, he caught up with Kyojuro and Gyomie. He played several games with them, all the while Kyojuro was blissfully unaware of the Sanemi’s failure to abide by the rules of the fair rides the main one being, KEEP HANDS AND FEET INSIDE THE RIDE AT ALL TIMES. (Truth be known, Sanemi did in fact have his hands in the ride with the only exclusion being his entire body).

(Sanemi also wanted to play the strong man big hammer game but Tengen had broken it earlier so it was still under repair. He was a tad disappointed and this is what I choose to believe started this entire fiasco).

10/10 had a glorious time at the fair and might come back again someday, he narrowly avoided being escorted off the premises on several occasions so the fact that he didn’t is considered a win in my book. He also single handedly traumatized, horrified, terrified, and scarred an entire group of people spreading to several rides and the riders, operators, as well as the people below the rides themselves. All of this, without being caught by Kyojuro. Truly inspiring.

John Watson thinks himself a very good man. He always takes care of people when he can, but if the cause of that is because he genuinely is a good person, or because he was a doctor in war, he would rather not speculate on. He likes to make himself useful in every situation and dislikes having nothing to do, especially when his best friend and coworker, the reputable Sherlock Holmes, is completely ignoring all the cases they could take on. But even though he spends a lot of his time with Sherlock, on account of them living together, he can get tired of him. So, John is now not in the flat, or with Sherlock on a case. He is on a bus, heading to a football stadium.  

He had finally had some time to himself, because there were no new cases and Mariana, his and Sherlocks secretary, even though she did so much more than that, was done with all their paperwork. It seemed the stars had aligned for John this day, because there was also a football game with his favorite team nearby, or at least in a reasonable bus length. He had bought the tickets a week earlier, but usually when he planned ahead, there would be an unforeseen case that sherlock wanted to take, and John had to cancel whatever plans he had. But just this once he took a chance, because the game was with his favorite team, and it was in his city. He could always get a refund. But no, when he woke up, Sherlock did not bust down his door with a new case, and Mariana had not left a note with something that needed to be done. He was free all morning and thus decided to get out of the house before something did happen.  

And now he was on the bus. Sitting by the window and looking at everything going past. He had not forgotten his team scarf, which he made sure to put in his bag before going to bed last night. When he wasn’t looking out the windows, he was fiddling with his pheon. Scrolling various social media, looking at what’s happening in his discord channel. “Jonk” was apparently making it big again. While going through his latest episodes comments, he saw a message pop up from Sherlock. Damn it. And he was almost at the arena too. He expected the usual spam of messages when he took more than a minute to respond. “Watson” “This is important” It usually wasn’t. “Mariana wants me to tell you-” “Watson” “John” “Hello”. Lately Sherlock has been calling John more by his first name. He thought this was because Sherlock was trying to be more familiar with him, to make him focus or listen to what he was saying. But he didn’t mind. He kind of liked it. But there were no more messages. Just the one. Maybe that means it wasn’t that important? Actually not important, this time. John chose to ignore it. But it was weird. Not Sherlocks normal behavior, if he had any. It was bothering John, and he looked out the window once again as the bus drove over a bridge. And as the ride continued, so did the uneasy feeling in his chest. The bus stopped and John eyes rested on a sign that said ‘Stanford's’. He remembered his friend that introduced them and the entire day that they met on. As the bus started moving again, so did his thoughts. With a sigh, finally, he gave in. He knew he shouldn’t, but he couldn’t help himself. He picked up the phone and read the text. He knew if he read this, and it was something trivial that Sherlock tricked him back to the apartment with that made him miss yet another game, he would absolutely regret it. He had come back to the apartment every time Sherlock called, and if he did so now as well, Sherlock would not learn that he wouldn’t come every time he was called. But alas, he will. It’s Sherlock after all.  

But instead of seeing a text about a very important case or just a beckon for him to come home with no explanation, he saw “John, this is Mariana, are you with Sherlock? He’s not home, but all his stuff is here. Even his headphones” 

John froze. It wasn’t from Marianas number; it was definitely Sherlocks. Probably because he left his phone at home. Honestly, this shouldn’t be that worrying, Sherlock can sometimes disappear for a day, he could have found a very interesting animal or just calming down from interacting with people for a while. But not bringing headphones is out of character.  John: Mariana, why are you messaging from Sherlocks phone? Sherlock: I knew you’d answer if it was him. If I sent it from mine, you would ignore it because you thought it was about paperwork or having to talk with clients. John: That’s fair.  John: Have you seen anything Sherlock may have left behind? Sherlock: Not immediately, but he wasn’t kidnapped if that’s what you’re thinking. His shoes are gone. Kidnappers don’t put on their victims’ shoes.  John: Yeah, that makes sense. But I’ll come home right now anyway.  

He had chosen what he cared about. Sherlock.  

After getting home, and trying to get the right bus back, John bursts through the door, looking around for Mariana or Sherlock. “Mariana? Are you here?” “In here John! Sherlock is here too.” John follows her voice to the kitchen, where she and Sherlock are sitting at the table. She seems to be patching him up as he has wounds all over.  “Oh my god Sherlock, who did this to you?”  “It’s fine Watson, Ms. Hudson is a qualified enough doctor to prescribe a few band-aids.” The sarcasm was practically dripping from Sherlocks voice. And he was still using the wrong name for Mariana.  “Yes John, he’s going to be fine. I just need to get him to sit still long enough to put on this elastic bandage- Sherlock stop picking at it.” “You’re putting it on wrong, the compression doesn’t work that way.” “Here, Mariana, I’ll do it.” John very kindly shushed Mariana out of her chair and took Sherlocks arm in his hands. She took the hint and went to get something from her room.  John undid the bandage and started over. Not because he wanted to hold Sherlocks hand more, but because it was easier that way. Obviously.  “Where would I be without my doctor.” Sherlock broke the silence. John looked up to look at his detective.  “You would be wherever you were that made you get like this. Oh, speaking of, where were you that could make you get like this?” “Way to ruin the moment, Watson. I was simply out walking, and someone attacked me. Judging by the amount of preparation they had for me, I presume they already knew who I am, and hold some sort of grudge. I might’ve caught one of their friends in a case, or they just don’t like me, which I have been told is not unusual.” “I like you.” John realized after uttering it what exactly he had said. He chose to continue with his thoughts. “You mean a lot to me. You have no idea how worried I was when Mariana said you had gone.” “John.” Sherlock’s tone caught John’s attention, and he looked up. The eye contact felt like it lasted for an eternity. He finished wrapping Sherlocks arm with the bandage and took his hand.  “You should know I skipped yet another football game for this.” “I know. You still have the scarf on you.” As he mentioned the team scarf that was still around John’s neck, he grabbed it and pulled it closer, making their foreheads touch.  John didn’t need to be a good person to know that Sherlock would always be here, at 221B Baker Street.  John was happy.

i'm rereading bold and forth on (amazing btw, just as good if not better a second time) and i was wondering if you Intentionally coded tom as autistic? i'm autistic myself and i really relate to the way you describe the way he thinks about social structure and social interaction lol. what made me send this ask in particular is the reveal that he had a post-it note flow chart for talking to shiv when he lived in the hong kong flat bc that is completely something i would do. anyway thank you for you amazing writing and i can't wait to read some of your other work!

As horrible as it is to admit relating to Tom, I really do--and so while writing bold and forth on I ended up put a lot of myself into him (there's one moment where I have a kid version of him feel sorry for all the other toys in the store: that was a direct pull from my own life). I am also autistic, and I think it's not even too much of a reach to read or portray Tom as the same given how much, canonically, he obsesses over the 'right' thing to do--and how often he's perceived to fail despite that level of effort.

I remember as a kid I was constantly sure that there was some cheat code or manual I was missing that would just make life work the way it was supposed to. Tom has pretty clearly, imo, spent a long time searching for the same. It's partly why I wrote the initial Tomshiv romance as being partly about her showing him 'how to be rich', the same way he later offers to do for Greg. There's something about that which, as gently mocking as Shiv is, or can be, feels to Tom like being held--because he hasn't had clear guidance like that before. With the rules laid out like that, maybe this feels to him like a game he and Shiv can win.

Tom talks about the nudie turtles and the hardening you have to submit yourself to in order to make it in the corporate city, but he chose to move into that world. I think he thought somewhere that was transparent about its cruelty would at least be easier to handle than a world where everyone was (or seemed) cruel in a more coded, hidden way. At the very least it might elevate him above people he felt rejected by or angry about or whatever. I think that impulse is clear in the fact he tries to use Greg as a punchbag and keeps failing to be adequately mean enough. He thinks it will make him feel better to be an asshole to someone because everyone shits on him, and then he's not even any good at that! He keeps sliding into empathy!

I'm really drawn to the side characters in Succession because they're not born into it. They ran away to the cruelest circus on earth and signed up to ride a little unicycle and get eggs thrown at them because they thought the rewards--status and power and cash--were worth it. What makes someone run toward that? Yes, he genuinely fell in love with Shiv, but he also fell in love with what she represented--a fucking meal ticket, and an escape (and she knew it, too! He ended up being coded about the true nature of their romance in order to try to preserve it, and it bit them both).

im thinking about switching back to the old bike. the new one makes sharper turns but i have a harder time controlling it, especially if im carrying something. the old one lists to the side a little bit but i barely notice anymore as ive learned to compensate...

i wish you could sell sleepover ticket. i almost never use the stables and when i do i wanna pay for them so i can get points. i usually have tons of rupees so they dnt really save me money i desperately need...after early game theyre completely useless. i'll never use all the ones i have saved up at this point

Week 3 in Singapore: Step 3 Bonding with Exchange Students

There are a lot of activities to do on campus! There are even hall bonding events which can be dances, playing volleyball, game nights, etc. NTU is farther out compared to the heart of Singapore where there is more of a lively atmosphere. There are several famous hawker centers, and places like little India and Chinatown where we all met to meet one another. Here is a hawker center called Lau Pa Sat! It is very good and has several cuisines and options for even vegetarian, vegan, and halal foods.

***Side note: In all honesty, it can be hard to find purely vegetarian food on campus canteens but canteen 2 and Saraca have a few good stalls. The rest of Singapore accommodates well to vegetarians! 

Lau Pa Sat: 

Other activities outside of school that I participated in are going to Universal with a few of my friends! It is important to head there early in the morning to make the best out of your day! Additionally, as a student make sure to book tickets 2 days in advance because you get a student discount online. In person tickets are a standard fee for everyone. Universal Studios is on Sentosa Island. To get there you can call a grab (like Uber) and it's best to split it with friends because it can be expensive or you can take an hour train to the island or take a bus and a train to the bridge which you can walk across to the island. All of these options are relatively cheap and around the same pricing (BTW there is an entrance fee to sentosa island but it depends on your mode of transportation). 

Going to Universal studios in the first few weeks, while meeting people, was a great choice and bonding experience. We all got to release our inner child, go on rides, eat food, and walk around the different worlds.

*****PRO TIP: always bring a poncho as it can unexpectedly rain!!

These are just a few activities to enjoy with friends in Singapore! It was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it! Stay tuned for next week's blog.

i have been to the fair! i grew up right outside of dallas, so our schools would get free tickets for the students. id like to go as an adult to enjoy it more bc we couldn’t really afford the rides and food when i was younger. plus now i can drink lol. big tex is really fucking huge btw, it’s kinda terrifying. i also went to a small fair in my college town in oklahoma which was fun! ummm my senior year of high school they took us to a renaissance fair and that was cool as fuck, i wish i appreciated it more back then but of course i was caught up in high school bs lol

i’m 5’2, almost 5’3. i wish i was a little taller, just like 5’5 or 5’6 maybe. mainly bc i cant even reach the top shelves in my own home and thats annoying lol

oh boy i don’t even know. clothing wise, im all about comfort unless im going out. i would wear leggings and a crewneck everywhere or nike shorts and an oversized shirt if it was acceptable. white low top converse are my everyday shoe. i dont think i really have a clothing specific style honestly. lots of skinny and flare jeans, boots and cute crop tops with jackets for going out. as for aesthetic… hmmm its a mix of things. whimsigoth, dark academia, kinda cottagecore… idk i dont really stick to a certain aesthetic, i kinda just do whatever (aquarius rising for you lol) but i think those best represent me atm

I think the thing about HP not being in ASBR might be moe of a technical issue because it's entirely possible they just don't know how to translate Cream Starter into fighting game mechanics. However, I COMPLETELY agree with you that the Sugar Mountain arc is by FAR one of if not THE best arc in the entire manga!! At the very least it's 100x better than A True Man's World! The Soundman fight was definitely super interesting, and I know I mentioned the Scary Monsters arc in the original post but I do really like the Scary Monsters arc bdjdb. You know what other arc I think is good and possibly better than Ringo's? The Civil War arc.

That's exactly what I'm saying, though, you get it! Like, A True Man's World is a decent arc, don't get me wrong. You can look in the replies of this very post for a great explanation into it! But for so many people to claim it's the "best arc in the entire manga" is so. Like, okay I guess? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I am simply saying that I disagree and I do not see it when Sugar Mountain and Civil War are Right there. I'm exempting Ticket to Ride and Love Train from this btw bc as the climax of the story it's obviously gonna be one of the best lmao.

Guys I'm gonna be honest I really do not understand why Ringo Roadagain and that whole arc is so popular. I like it purely because it's Hot Pants' intro arc but everything else is just so... bland. Like, Ringo himself? He's got a decent design and his motivations are different than the other enemies at that point in the manga but he's otherwise just kinda of boring? And then you look at Mandom and it's like "Oh another time based stand? Cool, I'm so glad we've seen so many of these and that Araki is totally not running out of ideas for them." That whole arc was mildly interesting to me in the same way that the other side character stand-offs were, like oyecomova or Chocolate Disco. But in terms of, like, the whole arc standing out as one of the best arcs in the whole manga like I see a lot of people describe it as?? It was... fine. Personally I think the Scary Monsters arc was far more interesting in terms of the smaller arcs, and the only reason I would put Ringo's arc any higher than a "meh" is because Hot Pants is in it and also we get to see Gyro fight on his own.

It really is so strange to me that a good chunk of the SBR side of the Jojo fandom even puts Ringo on a higher platform than Hot Pants considering he's in the story for a very short amount of time and Hot Pants is one of the main characters. Idk it's just so strange to me seeing people aboslutely go batshit fucking crazy over Ringo and then Hot Pants is pushed to the side for a guy who gets his ass beat in, like, a couple hours tops in the story. Maybe I need to reread the manga or something because I truly do not see what everyone else is seeing. And I've talked to other people about this and they seem to say the same so like?? What is it, then...

I walked through the crowds of the carnival. I hate carnivals there are far too many people, and the lines for everything are too long, and never worth the wait. I am looking around for Goose, last minute Carole decided she wanted to go to the carnival instead of the bar. Not that I blame her, I mean why would she want to go to the bar and watch me try to pick up some woman… Goose begged me to join him, so he wasn’t walking around alone, since he had no intentions of getting on any rides.

“MAVERICK!” I heard. I turned around and saw goose standing by the ticket booth. I walked over, and laughed when I saw him holding a roll of tickets. I gave him a look “Carol says she wants to ride everything here” I chuckled

“I hate carnivals” I mumbled as we started walking through the crowds again “I hope you know… you and Carol are the ones I would be here for” Goose chuckled

“Well I’m truly touched” he said putting his hand over his heart.

“Where did she disappear too anyway”

“I think she said something about bumper cars”

“Well you have all these tickets lets go play a game or something, I’m not just going to stand around and talk to you all night… I do plenty of that as it is” I said with a smile

“You know Maverick you are a real piece of work”

“Race you to ring toss” and I took off

“Maverick wait. I wasn’t ready”

“I can’t believe I beat you!” Goose said excitedly, waving the stuffed bear around

“Hey, this is for Carol. Look you’ve never been in a long term relationship before. Something as small as winning one of these can earn you some serious brownie points” I looked around and found the bumper cars, and we headed in that direction.

It didn’t take long to spot her, she was driving around bumping into anyone and everyone. She bumped into this one woman, and spoke to her, and they laughed about something.

“Looks like Carol made a friend” Goose said

“Yeah it would seem so” I said staring at the woman in awe. She had to be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She had (Your hair color) and the most beautiful (your eye color) that I know I could get lost in, she had the most adorable laugh, that made me smile.

“Earth to Maverick” I heard, I realized that I had dazed off, and the woman was no longer there “Let’s go Carol is waiting over at the exit” we walked over to where she was standing and talking to the woman enthusiastically.

“There’s my Goose now” she said

“Hi, honey. I won this for you” she giggled

“Thank you, baby” she gave him a kiss. I kept staring at the woman she was wearing a beautiful red dress, that hugged her curves perfectly. I smirked, when she looked at me, any other woman would have giggled, but this woman… I can tell she is feisty. She gave me a ‘What the fuck’ look, and turned away from me. Challenge accepted, I walked over and said

“You wanna dance with me” she looked me up and down and gave me the same look as before

“No”

“Why not?”

“Because I don’t want to” she replied

“Hey, Maverick. Back off she’s with me” I looked at Iceman “Y/N you wanna ride the Ferris wheel?” she smile at him, locked his arm and his and said

“I’d love too” I smirked at this woman, she’s a feisty one. She’s a challenge and I have accepted.

“Maverick. Carol and I are going to the Ferris Wheel”

“So am I” I said with a smirk. Carol had already run over to The woman who’s name I now know is Y/N and they were talking excitedly. Carol looked back at me, said something to Y/N and they laughed.”

Iceman and Y/N got on first, then Carol and Goose got on the one below them. I watched as the wheel went around once, and right before it went up again, Y/N eye’s caught mine, I saw a hint of a smirk, before she pushed her beautiful hair back, then turned to Iceman. I quickly made a decision, probably not the brightest one, and ran over to the Ferris Wheel.

“Maverick what the hell are you doing?” Goose yelled as I used their seat to jump up to the seat above where she was sitting. She screamed, and Iceman yelled

“What the hell are you doing?”

“I’m Maverick”

“So?” she said angrily

“So, it’s really nice to meet you”

“Do you two know each other” Ice man asked

“No you moron, that’s why I just introduced myself” I said to Iceman before turning my attention back to her

“I would really like to take you out for dinner”

“What?”

“Dinner… tonight, tomorrow night, the night after that”

“You’re crazy” she exclaimed, then the wheel came to a stop. The ride operator yelled

“You can’t sit more than two people to a chair”

“Alight, I’ll go” I stood up and she said

“Wait, what’s your plan here? He has to turn the ride back on, to bring you back down”

“No, I got it” I jumped up to the pole in front of me and hung on. Once I got a good grip on it, I turned around

“Maverick what the hell are you doing?” Goose yelled from below

“Maverick don’t be stupid, get down before you kill yourself” Carol added

“Will you go out with me?” I asked with a smirk

“What? No! You’re crazy”

“No?”

“No” she exclaimed

“Why not?”

“I don’t know… it could because you’re a stranger… or maybe just flat out I don’t want to”

“I already introduced myself, I’m not a stranger anymore”

“Fine, I don’t want to” she said again

“Alright”

“Alright what?” she asked “You’ll leave me alone?”

“No, you leave me no other choice” she looked confused, then screamed when I took one hand away so I was hanging up in the air, on this ride, that had so much rust I’m not sure how the pole hadn’t broken off the moment I swung onto it. “Now, I’m going to ask you one more time… will you or will you not go out with me”

“You are really crazy”

“You keep saying that… oh damn it my hand is slipping”

“Maverick, stood fooling around” Goose said

“Not till she agrees”

“Oh, Y/N I promise he’s not that bad. Go out with him” Carol yelled

“Thanks’ Carol!” she was just staring at me “What do you say?”

“Ok, ok fine I’ll go out with you”

“No, don’t do me any favors”

“No, no I want to” she exclaimed. I couldn’t tell if it was fear that I would fall and die, or fear that she was saying yes to a man she just met only moments ago

So tldr

Team Fun doesn’t have a queue and can’t play regular Turf Mode. When they play Turf Mode, Tricolor will happen at random and without warning. It’s guaranteed but Team Fun has no idea Wenceslao they’ll be able to play Turf War.

Team Gear and Grub have to queue to play Tricolor but instead of having the same system that dumps the waiting group into Regular Turf, everyone waiting ends up in Mirror Matches or in random 4v4 will they wait for the game to let 4 people join Tricolor. Btw Mirror Matches don’t count in the final Splatfest score and it’s a very high 50%+ chance you might get multiple mirror matches back to back. Also Teams Gear and Grub can just opt out and play Regular Turf War and Pro respectively. And also the queue does clarify turf battles would be happening while folks wait so many are super angry

Because Team Fun is guaranteed tricolor and will have an increased rate automatically, they get to play more often; but because the algorithm has to tell the queue when there’s 4 Team Fun people who can tricolor, if someone on Team Fun has an unstable wifi connection or Teams Gear and Grub can’t join because Team Fun must play regular Turf- nobody can Tricolor.

{It’s like Team Fun have bought tickets but find out they’re special raffle tickets to be first in line on a rollercoaster while also given the pass to ride other coasters while the Team Gear and Grub also bought tickets but they didn’t qualify for the raffle vip special tickets and then have to ride a repetitive and boring baby’s first Ferris wheel they didn’t know about instead of standing in line or just walking away}

And also the Tricolor Queue doesn’t clarify you will be playing matches while you wait nor that mirror matches don’t count until it catches you off guard.

So when Splatoon 3 tells Gear and Grub there’s not enough players, that’s true. Team Fun isn’t allowed to join yet.

The problem? There’s been players who waited 6hrs+ in the Gear and Grub queue who never played 1 match of tricolor vs Team Fun are basically guaranteed to win because they are literally fighting for their lives right now, fully without a choice. Plus after the demo, the game devs decreased the rate the defending team to play from being every so often to so rare, you have a higher rate of getting a good pull on the conch shell gacha in game right now.

Oh and also Nintendo’s servers are still very bad and the queues are so huge that tricolor disconnects more than regular and pro turf war does so there’s been people playing all day and night who never got to tricolor across all servers (yes this is happening everywhere, not just the Americas server)

[Today's Monday btw]

"Bye mom..." Robin says as she leaves the house with the warmest outfit she could find, which wasn't much. [I don't know much about clothes, so it's basically her S4 outfit, the one with the black jacket, but a bit more appropriate for Winter but also not much change]. She walks over to her Bike while thinking to herself 'Has Steve been avoiding me? I mean he doesn't have to hang out with me all the time..but that's basically what we did everyday since summer.. but he's been canceling our plans for a week know and I've been waiting for him to pick me up, which he always does and he doesn't really have to but he didn't even give me a heads-up that he won't drive me. Like, at least tell me so I want be late, dingu-' "SHIT!" Robin slips up,surprisingly enough she catches herself, she looks around to see if anyone saw that, luckily for her, no one did. 'yea, there is no way I'm gonna survive this, but I'm gonna be even more late without my bike...ugh!'.

She gets on her bike and put on her helmet, she knocks on it twice 'safety first'. She takes off and tries to go as fast as possible on the icey street and sidewalk. 'it's gonna take some miracle for me not to fall'. while on the road she realizes she forgot her walkman so she can't listen to her language tapes.

She angrily thinks about it for a few minutes but gets cut off when she nearly slips up 'Holy shit!' she panickes for a second but she didn't fall 'oh thank god! Steve is so lucky he graduated already, or I would have smacked him with my helmet for making me ride to school! ON A BIKE! IN WINTER!!!' Robin was furious, angry tears forming in her eyes. Why was Steve avoiding her?

They were hanging out at the Wheelers again. It was earily December on a Friday and even though Christmas is like weeks away, they are already planning to celebrate Christmas together at the Wheelers. Even the Byers while come over the breaks!

[I just had to, El and Max needed each other in S4 so they get some time together! Which also makes Max come out to Robin after El leaves again (sorry my elmax heart just forced my brain to write this lol)]

So the mood was over the top. Even Robin was excited! Her first Christmas with friends and dare she say family. It's also her first Christmas with Steve! She may not have much money and Steve basically already has everything, she got this amazing day planned! If she thinks about it to hard it seems like a date, like date date, but she doesn't, because Steve knows.

Her gift is basically a hang out at first (but they do stuff Steve suggests or wants) but she also saved up a bit to get basketball tickets for the game that is before Christmas. Which, honestly, is great, because then she gets to spend Christmas with the others together, too.

[I know nothing about Basketball games/tickets so idk if they play in the winter, but they do now]

Robin was so excited about this day that she told Nancy about it. Nancy was very surprised and impressed that Robin thought about all that and got jealous (you know why), but happy nonetheless, thinking Robin is such a good girlfriend.

[I just re-read Corgis post and Nancy thinking they are dating is in November so I'd say late November and Steve somehow, because he's stupid, didn't want to say the they aren't dating, so he just avoids Robin, so this is the start when he also avoids her even if they would be alone, because before it was just with Nancy a few days later it's with the kids and now it's just with Robin alone already]

The game would be in a week on the weekend, and even tho Robin never really cared for basketball, she's excited! Also Steve has been kinda weird lately, at first it was just with Nancy, she thought for a bit that it was because she may think they are dating but then he starts acting weird when around the kids, too. Now that she thinks about it, he has been avoiding her since the beginning of the hangout. So the tickets and so were also kinda there to smooth things out between them (she think she did something, like talking too much or being too mean with the jokes, idk, but she doesn't know what she did so she can't really apologize....but well she didn't do anything)

After a few minutes of asking around were Steve is. She finally find him walking down the stairs (don't worry, he was just on the bathroom, nothing to do with Nancy) and she snatches him my the arm to drag him into the kitchen. "Steve" she turnd around to look at him with a serious face "I have to ask you something" Steve tries to stay calm but is screaming on the inside, thinking she was gonna bring up him avoiding her. Luckily Robin was just joking with the serious thing and a smile was on her face "Soo, I got this idea for next week, like a hang out, but outside of hawkings, cause it's kind boring here. And well since it's outside of Hawkins I wanted to ask like a week before so it's not that spontaneous" Robin starts getting nervous about her gift idea and starts rambling "and funnily enough it seems like a date, but you know, it's not" then Nancy walks into kitchen and both her and Steve's eyes widden at what Robin says next "but it's also funny because normal the guy would plan the date or at least I thought so and-" Steve cuts here off "I'm sorry Robin but I- I am busy with something! Yea um, my dad didn't really tell me what I have to do, because you know he's an asshole, but he asked me to help with something so I'm sorry, but I can't go" Steve is surprised he came up with that, considering the panic he has of what Nancy must be thinking hearing that sentence out of context. [STEEEEVE NOOO 😭]

Now that she thinks about it, she still has those tickets and the game is in 4 days 'I better give them to Lucas and Max... At least someone gets a 'date'...' she thinks bitterly. She just now realized that her vision is kinda blurry and a tiny sob sound leaves her body.

'Oh..' She quickly shakes her head and tries to whip her tears away with one hand, which normally would be easy, riding with one hand, but since it's very icey. She loses control of the bike and crashes into the hard ice/concrete of the street."woAH-" She hold of her hands and try to stop the fall but that makes her scrape her hands and it hurts like hell, the sleeve of her favorite jacket also tears. Her knees are no better. "shit.." she hisses out "holy shit- that hurts" she whispering through gritting theet.

Fortunately and unfortunately, she was already near the school. Which means she doesn't have to go far, but the others saw her fall. She stands up and looks down in embarrassment, but also so no one can see here tears building up. She uses her bike as support and tries to hide the limp while walking forwards the bike stands. She tries to ignore the laughing jerks and put the lock on the bike.

Robin doesn't even care that the warning bell rings, signaling that she has to go to her class soon. She just pushes through the wave of student standing in her way, and goes to the nearest bathroom. One of these students, however, was Nancy Wheeler and she just saw a very distressed looking Robin pushing her way through people and going into the bathroom.

When Nancy walked into the bathroom. She was not expecting a crying Robin, washing blood of her hands while standing on shaky legs with blood on her knees and holes in her clothes. "Oh my god, Robin! What happened?" she asked, her voice full off concern, but also gentle trying not to spook her (which failed), as she takes slow steps forward.

Robin jumps up and almost lost her footing but luckily Nancy caught her arm, which calms her down a bit, after realizing it's Nancy. "N-Nancy?" she asked with a shaky voice. Nancy just smiles gently at her "Hi" [Don't you dare 👀] Robin blushes and smiles back a bit "Hi.." [you did not just pull a nick and Charlie 😪 lol]

Robin quickly came to her senses and remembers the state that she's in (Note to self, don't be gay in Indiana🎶) and blushes even more but out of embarrassed because Nancy had to see her like this. "Uh- um.. W-what are you doing here?" she asked trying to sound like she didn't just cry a second ago. "Well, I saw you were looking distress when you pushed passed me so I-" Nancy started but was then cut off by an even more embarrassed and apologizing Robin "Omg! I am so sorry! I- I didn't mean to push you o-or anything! I just kinda fell of my bike and I scraped my hands and knees! And- and I thought I was gonna be late, since Steve didn't care to say that he wouldn't drive me to school today! And when I fell, I wanted to clean myself off before I went to class! So that's why I pushed you! I am so very sorry tho! I didn't mean it on purpose! I mean I kinda did- but in the sense that I would have pushed anyone and not that I specifically wanted to push you! I-.. I should stop talking know..." Robin ended her a forced chuckle.

Nancy stands stunned for a minute. "You came here... On a bike?..in the winter?" she asked. "Um..yeah?... I mean, I knows it's weird, and kinda dangerous" she jokes and hold out her still bleeding hands "but I didn't have any other way of transportation, since that dingus, Steve, has been seemingly avoiding me" she rolls her eyes, trying to look more annoyed than hurt.

Nancy, however, saw that look of hurt in her eyes, but looks back down to her hands wanting to make sure that's taken care of first "Let's get them properly cleaned, then we can talk later" as she gently takes Robin's hands in her own, leading them under the water. Robin hisses in pain. "Hey, it's okay, I know it hurts, but we don't want it to get infected." Nancy looks around the bathroom but realizes that there is no first aid kit. She quietly curses and looks back at Robin. "Ok so, I have a kit in my car. You're going to stay here and wait, ok? I'll be right back" she leaves in a hurry, giving Robin no chance to answer.

Without the short comfort of Nancy's hands or just Nancy's presence, she can't distract herself from the pain of the knees, which started shaking again. 'Shit shit shit shit' She's tries to steady herself by placing her hands on either side of the sink but her scraped off skin started burning and her arms began to shake as well aswell 'Shit shit, ok ok, clam down, I'm just gonna slowly sit myself to the ground' she takes a deep breath and easys herself down to the floor 'Oh God, I don't want to know how stupid this looks' she thinks while one arms starts slipping and she bangs her forehead on the sink "FUCK!" she squeezes her eyes shut and collapse to the floor. Rubbing her forehead she quietly says "Can't get any worst than this"

Why did she have to say that.

"Oh God! Are you ok?!" The panicked voice of Chrissy Cunningham, yes the Chrissy Cunningham, the new Queen of Hawkins High reaches her ear. 'Huh. Both the old and new Queen in one day. What a jackpot' she thinks for second. "Uh- ye-yeah!" her voice cracks 'I hate myself' she tries to smile but it looks more like a grimace. "O-ok, um, do you need the school nurse? I- I can get her if you want?" she asked while playing with the sleeves of her cheerleader jacket. [I love Chrissy 🙏] Robin clears her throat "Yeah, I'm okay! It's totally fine! But thank you! I just-Uh- I um- I was just-"

Then suddenly the door opens which makes both girls jump. "Ok, so I got the rubbing Alcohol and the bandages, also cotten balls for the alcohol." Nancy came in, listing things she put into her bag. "Sorry I took so long, there just were these stupid-" she finally looks up and saw a surprise Chrissy. "Uh-.." It feels like an hour of awkward silence when Chrissy broke the ice. "Um-..Hey" she shyly smiles at Nancy "I was gonna get the school nurse, but seems like Robin's already has you". She says it in such a casual way that it makes Robin blush. Nancy seems speechless "Uh y-yeah.."

Another awkward silence, which Chrissy breaks again. "So, seeing as you have everything under control, I should probably go.." She starts to nervously play with her sleeves again. This time Robin answers "Yeah...thanks for checking up on me tho, others would have probably called me a weirdo or would have laughed seeing me like this" she gave a short laugh. Chrissy frowns at this "well ignore this people, they are just mean jerks" and then she sweetly smiled at Robin "If you ever need help and Nancy's not here, you can gladly come to me" Robin was starstruck and just nods her head grinning back like an idiot. "O-ok!" Chrissy just gives a nod back and leaves while waving "See you around"

There was, yet again, another awkward silence, more from Nancy's side this time. Nancy clears her throat "So...that was something.." Robin still starstruck, quietly wonders "how did she know my name?" "Did you say something?" Quickly shaking her head she comes back from her trance "n-nothin- ARGH" she holds her head. Nancy rushes to her side "what is it? A headache? Did you fall onto your face?!" Nancy quickly checks her head for any injuries but finds non "N-no, i just...I hit my head on the sink..." Robin starts "and I guess shaking your head after hitting it, isn't the smartest move" she chuckles bitterly.

Nancy then noticed that Robin was on the floor "How did that even happen?" she asked, while helping Robin up and making her sit on the sink. "Well when you left, you couldn't distract me anymore so my body decides to remember that its hurt and then my knees started shaking and I tried to hold myself up but my arms also started shaking and I slipped and then I hit my head on the sink and then Chrissy came and-" Robin's cuts herself off with a yelp "Hey! Give a girl a waring, will you!" while pulling her hand away.

"Sorry, I thought maybe your talking would distract yourself." Nancy says, while not looking like she's sorry. "Now give me your hand" she hold out her own hand. Robin carefully places her hand into Nancy's and tries not to blush at the gentle and soft yet rough hand.

"Ok, this is gonna sting" Nancy says, as she carefully dabs the cotten ball with rubbing alcohol on the scraped off skin. Robin tries to focus on Nancy's hand rather then the stinging pain. Nancy quietly curses again. "look like you cut yourself on a rocks" she grimaced "that's why there's still so much blood coming" she looks up at Robin's eyes "but don't worry, I'm gonna bandage it up and it's gonna heal in not time" she tries to resure her. Robin just nods and keeps staring at Nancy's face while she look focused on the task at hand. (badum tch) 'She looks so cute when her brows are furrowed in consentraction, especially when she's trying to figure something out or come up with a plan.......I'm being creepy aren't I....omg....don't tell me Steve knows....is that why he's been avoiding me?....omg....he knows I'm in love with Nancy, doesn't he! Shit shit shit!!! No, that can't be it, he would have said something!...wouldn't he?....I-.. '

"-bin!? Are you ok!?! Why are you crying!? Hellooo?!" A very very concerned voice if Nancy broke her train of thoughts "Huh- W-what?" Robin focuses her eyes and is face to face with and even more worried looking Nancy, who has both her hands on both of her cheeks. With gentle looking eyes Nancy wipes the tears off with her thumb. Robin didn't even notice that she started crying. Nancy must have noticed that she's focused again "Hey, hey" her voice somehow calm "It's okay, it's done, you're ok" she says while still stroking Robin's cheek with her thumb. Robin slowly looks down at her hand and sees that it's bandaged, she looks back at Nancy's eyes. "Are you ok?" Robin nods. "why did you start crying? Was it because it hurt?" Robin shook her head "No? Then why did you cry? If you're ok with talking about it, of course."

Robin looks away from her eyes to think and decides to tell her. Nancy has her suspicion but she wasn't gonna bring it up herself. "I- I think steve has been a-avoiding me.." she quietly says. "And why would he do that?" 'does it have to do something with me finding out they are dating?...I hope not...' Nancy thinks to herself. Robin looks at her not bandaged hand which stopped bleeding since there is no deep cut there. [You know, just to clarify] "I- I don't know. Maybe because I talk to much? Or I've hurt him with my joking insults? Or he just decided he doesn't want to be friends with me anymore! Since that was everyone apparently does when they are friends with me! There is something wrong with me!" she started laughing quietly "of course he would want to get rid of me someday! I knew I shouldn't have set my hopes up with this friendship. The kids are also just gonna leave me."She tries not to cry 'I've cried enough today ugh, why can't I just be normal! why do I have to be so dramatic' "I'm sorry...I- I didn't mean to dump this all on you. I'm just being dramatic. You can l-leave now, thanks for your help" Robin says while looking to the side, waiting for Nancy to leave.

Nancy was speechless. She couldn't believe what she just heard. While her speech Robin pulled her hands away from her face, so she places them back to where they were and turn Robin's face so she faces Nancy. Robin looked surprised "Wha-" Nancy shuts her up. Robin's feels pressure on her lips.

Nancy's finger is placed ontop of her lips so she can't talk.

Nancy said while she staring at Robin's wide eyes 'Wow, I didn't know her eyes were so blue...it's like you could drown in them...'They kept staring at each other eyes and then Robin, the idiot, starts leaning forward, still starting into each other's eyes. To her own shook Nancy also starts leaning forward, while slowly dragging her finger down her lips. A set of eyes flicker down to the others lips....they lean closer and closer and then....

DRRRIIIIIIINNNGGGGG

[You know when the build up is like that, it has to be interrupted]

They jump apart. Robin panicked and flustered. Nancy panicked and confused. "ohwhOASHIT-" Robin starts falling of the sink but Nancy holds her by the shoulders so she doesn't fall and pulls her back up "phew....Heh...man.. I need to stop falling so often..." Robin tries to easy the tension and smiles awkwardly yet still cute "yeah..heh" They awkwardly laugh. Nancy still has her hands on Robin's shoulder so she quickly pulls them away and somehow pushes against her knee which makes Robin hiss in pain "Oh God, I am so sorry, I didn't mean to I-" Robin starts laughing "You trying to copy me, Wheeler?" "I-" Nancy pouts 'omg she's adorable' "I was just trying to apologize" She looks down at Robin's knees "And they also still need to be taken care of"

She looks around for the cotten balls and the rubbing Alcohol and then looks up "This is gonna sting." "Yeah yeah, i know." "Well I wanted to give a girl a warning" "Oh, right" Robin snorts "Didn't think you would rememb- AAHShit!" Nancy just smirks and continues the process "You are full of surprises, Wheeler. I didn't know you were suck a jerk." Robin smirks down at her "I am not a jerk." Nancy says, not looking up. "Sure sure". Nancy presses down hard onto the other knee, which makes Robin let out a few curse words "Ok ok! You're not a jerk" with a pleased smile, Nancy continues her task.

After a while of cleaning up injures and bandaging them, Robin finally stands up on her own. She wobbles a bit but it's fine "How about I drive you home? I don't think you're in a good condition to go to school" Robin dramatically gasped "Omg! Is THE Nancy 'the Priss' Wheeler going to skip school!?" "Shut up or I'm going to make you walk home." Robin make the mouth sip motion "Good. Now let's go before-"

The school bell rings again

"-the bell rings...um..well we can still go, but now there is a higher chance of people seeing us" "What, don't want to be seen with me?" "You know what I meant! Now shut up or I'll really make you walk home" Robin hold her hands up in surrender. "Lead the way, Wheeler"

I don't know what happened with their dynamic at the end, but I like that dynamic and Nancy found her in a vulnerable moment so that's why she didn't act like this at first... Idk.. Also they are basically forgetting the stuff before the almost kiss 😭😂 idk if it makes sense but well they both just pushed it down ig... Hope you enjoyed!

Edit: OMG I TOTALLY FORGOT! I wanted to say that the tear on her favorite jacket is the reason she has the "Handle with care" thing on it.
