Ofc the first thing I post is Echo Garden fanart lmao

You can tell I was trying to figure out how to draw both Rodimus and Soundwave while working on this (I’ve never drawn TFP Soundwave and I haven’t draw Rodimus all that much)

This contains scenes from @altraviolet ‘s SoundRod fic “The Echo Garden”! If you haven’t read it I really recommend it, it’s one of my favorite fics

saw transformers one today and decided to finish this long ass overdue echo garden fanart so don't flame me it's been TOO long since i've drew rodimus and this is my first and last time drawing tfp soundwave ever.

i dont think you gues understand how this song has had me in a chokehold over the past year bc an amazing editor made a echo garden edit to them with this song- now its my personal anthem for them and everytime i read the fic i have it on repeat- i feel like the lyrics could go both ways with their emotionally unstable asses, this was mostly to focus on the fact rodimus is starting to feel something for soundwave he hasnt felt in a long time but hes in denial (at first).

Hello🙏  It's true that each continuity has difference design but the basic in learning and simplify them is still the same to me, I need to find the shape first I learned how to draw rodimus before I start learning to draw tfone bots so for me I think this is how I sketch tf character in general Use this opportunity to share some drawing process I kept from TEG fanart🙏 It's fun to look at the progress

I haven't drawn many tf character other than IDW, TF One and TFP but I think IDW bots are harder to draw than TF One although idw reference are easier to use bc it is already 2d art with clean lines but those too many lines sometimes overwhelmed to look at so the best way to learn from them is also to find the overall shape first and keep only the details that are obvious on that bot (it's also bc im too lazy to draw every detail and polish everything) All of the bots I have drawn, I think Trailbreaker is the hardest one 55555555555 I tried my best to understand him but I still feel like I failed something

What to say😳… Well, I finished reading The Echo Garden by AltraViolet and, to be honest, it hit me like a hammer in the face. I have NEVER read anything like such a masterpiece before. Never EVER, I swear! My life won't be the same ever! While reading I was worried about Rodimus and Soundwave's relationship more than my own (which I don't even have)🥺

Also the urge to draw them I've got due to the song Worlds Collide by Divide Music and here we go... I figured out what happened to the previous art, I accidentally saved it in different format, that automatically lowered the guality. So this time I was more cautious. Still not perfect, but atleast not like shit.

AND, to be honest (again), out of both Soundwave somehow was easier to draw and color than Rodimus, the most of time I had spent on him exactly with this glossy paintjob, while Soundwave has a matt paint or he doesn't even have any and this is his natural colors. His purple and dark-blue colors are exstasy for my eyes fr XD

I'm still crying, it was just wonderful. I'll re-read it again someday, but for now I may draw something else according to The Echo Garden after some time🥴
