Currently replaying OMORI because I'm a masochist with my best friends @beevean and @the-crow-binary providing emotional support lmfao. Even despite how soul-crushingly boring it is, I think we're still having some sort of fun with this clusterfuck of a game

Highlights (and the misc. problems we've managed to spot) so far include:

I already knew that this game's length was detrimental to it during my first solo playthrough, but this playthrough is helping me put into perspective just how bloated OMORI is, even when it comes to an aspect like dialogue. For example, a single conversation between Space Boyfriend and the main cast took us approximately 5 minutes to get through, and it's not like the writing is gripping enough to make us give a shit about the characters or anything they're saying

Speaking of the dialogue, you can just see how hard it tries to be witty and Quirky™ the way Earthbound and indie RPGs like Undertale were. Needless to say, it fails horribly, and the end result of that was me having to fast-track some conversations because they were unfunny and weren't relevant at all

I got unintentionally (!) stuck in White Space for 15-20 minutes because I couldn't find the map the game needed me to find to let me open the door. Beev came to hate the repetitive 8-bit BGM the area had by the time I finally found the map lol. game_design.exe

Headspace's music is so ear-gratingly abysmal oh my god. I can only call it "dollar-store Kirby music" because that's the most appropriate description that comes to mind and I'm pretty sure Lost at a Sleepover gave Beev severe PTSD. Of course, the music of Faraway Town isn't any better: the "track" that plays in the first fight with Aubrey is less music than it is the result of an .exe file being put through an audio player. Sonic Chronicles might have some serious competition in the "worst video game soundtrack" category asdfghjkl

The plot of the Faraway Town segments is so cookie-cutter that it genuinely hurts to sit through. Character writing (or the lack thereof) aside, Sunny and Kel spend half a day loitering around the town and asking Aubrey's cronies where she is even though Kel could've easily gotten that information from Mikhael had he just indulged the latter's delusions of grandeur a little bit

Faraway Town's daytime sky is literally a scrolling JPEG of a cloudy sky. The battle backgrounds of the real world segments are edited JPEGs as well. Everyone's houses look exactly the same on the outside save for some of them being a different color. The developers spent six years and more than $200,000 on this game.

Sunny's fights against his fears are boring. You just need to wait until a particular turn when the game grants you a special skill you use to end the fight immediately. What was the point of designing these hallucinatory monsters if the player doesn't get to fight them at any point during the main route?

Aubrey (ostensibly) swinging a nail bat at Sunny is not treated with the same degree of realism as Sunny slashing her with a knife. Additionally, Aubrey rides away on her scooter just fine even though she's supposed to be bleeding

Mari's picnic baskets are inexplicably scattered all across the town and fulfill the exact same function as they do in Headspace. So much for realism!

I won two of the fights against Aubrey's goons even though I was trying to lose. gameplay.exe

Sunny is even more unpleasant than I remember. He doesn't respond to Basil - who is supposedly his best friend - when the latter talks to him, stays silent while (and after) Kel vents to him about Hero yelling at him and barges into the church despite Kel advising him to wait until the sermon ends. Why should I feel bad for him again?

Kel generally seems to treat Sunny like an actual baby, spelling out incredibly obvious things to the latter (e.g. that Sunny shouldn't be carrying a knife or walking in the road because it's dangerous) and making all of Sunny's decisions for him, to the point of not allowing Sunny to return into his own house until nighttime under the pretense of "there's so much to do! it's a brand new day!"

Finally, the "fight" against Sunny's fear of spiders comes completely out of nowhere since nothing triggered said fear during Sunny's adventures outside

Peak game, everyone.

And it's going to get way worse down the line!

Omori: Kindred Spirits (Bad End AU by pyroanime2k16)

A/N: My last multi-chapter Omori fic for a while. Pic is a comm from @zipsunz, who gave me permission to post and share it for this AU. Specifically using the watermarked version to prevent art theft.

Chapter I: Siblings, Together Again….

Mari didn’t have a choice but to wait now….

All her efforts to help Sunny forgive himself for her accidental demise were now in the balance. He was in a hospital bed now…due to a confrontation with Basil….

She was scared….

Scared that Sunny wouldn’t make it to see the next day. Scared what might happen after he told everyone the truth of what happened to her.

The dead girl couldn’t do anything else though…besides waiting. And so she went through the hospital, hoping that their mother would come by and visit.

Maybe…. Maybe their mom could help Sunny more than Mari was able to do…in her ghostly form.

….

….

She HATED having to wait. She hated having to leave this all up to chance.

But she didn’t have a choice now….

She did all she could.

She could only pray that things would work out for the best this time….

The dead girl felt like she was in a nightmare…. Or my own personal Hell, for that matter.

It started with her realizing that Sunny was missing from his hospital bed. Then it led to her discovering him heading up to the room.

And just as she tried in vain to grab the boy and prevent him from jumping off the roof…

Sunny was dead now….

Lifeless on the pavement and sidewalk below…with Kel and Aubrey screaming horrifically and in agony as they saw him….

Everything Mari tried to do…. Everything she attempted to help her little brother forgive himself….

….

….

All for nothing….

She didn’t go to the funeral….

She felt like she didn’t deserve to see her brother one last time….

And his mutilated body would only be a reminder to her greatest failure….

Instead, she’s at home…going through the building one last time. It’s unnaturally quiet…. It truly was haunted now….

The dead girl went to the staircase, before entering the piano room. This was where it all went wrong.

And Mari hated herself for not noticing Sunny’s struggles sooner….

….

All that enjoyment of playing the piano vanished…just as quickly as Sunny’s life did….

Seeing the instrument only reminded her of her failure. It only made her angrier with herself.

It wasn’t long before Mari did something impulsive…by setting the piano ablaze. And at this point, she didn’t care about the consequences.

Sunny was dead. Gone. There was nothing salvageable in this building…. The only thing she wanted to do and the one person she promised to protect were both gone….

As she left the room, she froze in place….

Not because of her recent actions, no.

Rather, she heard a faint sob from upstairs…. And she KNEW whose voice it was making the cries.

Immediately, she went up the staircase and right into her and Sunny’s room.

And in some twisted form of a miracle…there Sunny was, curled up in his bed and crying. He was just like her. A ghost haunting the Earth….

He looked up from his position briefly, before freezing and backing up into the corner of his mattress. She could only assume that he was scared of how she might react….

…And that broke her heart irreparably.

Slowly, the dead girl made her way over to her brother, sitting with him. She then whispered, “You shouldn’t be here, sunshine…!” She wanted to cry, even though her tears had long since ran out.

The boy lowered his head, croaking out, “I’m sorry….” It’s all he could say to her. All he wanted to say to her.

After everything that happened, all he wanted to do was apologize to his sister.

It didn’t take any convincing for Sunny to suddenly lurch forward and hug his sister tightly, crying into her shoulder.

“I got you, baby brother….” Mari whispered, holding Sunny tightly in return, rocking him gently as he cried against her.

“I’m here…. I’m right here, Sunny….” She reassured. “I’m so sorry, baby brother….”

She wanted to apologize…for everything.

For not noticing Sunny’s struggles.

For not noticing why he wanted to participate in the recital with her so badly.

For yelling at him for getting frustrated.

For not doing enough to help him forgive himself.

For not being able to protect him.

For failing him.

….

….

But to Mari, not a single word would be enough to apologize for any of that.

The Omori timeline makes no sense

Hello, this is a way too serious post about going insane over the fictional timeline about the funny depression game.

Spoilers for some of the main route and all of the alt route.

The Basics

So when does this game take place? Faraway is a small American town with a population of whatever. People's favorite pastimes include listening to boomboxes, watching TV on huge CRTs, or playing baby games on huge old monitors for bulky PC towers.

I mean look at these locations!

Cassette players? Things that could be graciously described as NES and SNES systems (PS1 if you really push those pixels)? Earlyish anime posters that look straight out of the 90's? Wow! This is definitely certainly totally for SURE the 90's right?

The Not So Basics

Sure there's a lot of old stuff lying around, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the place is old. Maybe Faraway was hit by 2008 really hard and never recovered. So, what contradicts the 90's appearances? Sunny (or Omori) himself.

Of course dial up is still used in America, especially in rural areas or places that people (read, corporations) don't typically care about. However it has been apparently phased out in Faraway, this process started in the late 1990's early 2000's and dropped to roughly 10% in 2008. So, how important is Faraway? Well I don't know the economic status of a fake American town, but graciously we can conservatively say the earlier half of the 2000's.

Likewise cassettes were phased out in the early 90's if you're being extremely generous. Why does Kel have one? He's a hipster or something.

Jawsum hates Pluto and considers him a former planet even though that astronomers hate him and only did that in 2006. That's probably why he retired to do mini golf and various ball sports.

But Mari loved the Mets right? She has been in multiple arts doing the ball. And well you certainly get a baseball hat in the game.

Where do you find this hat? Oh simply in the Abyss where Abbi and other unpleasant memories exist. Mostly of a dead woman... well if Sunny believes that of course. But no the baseball hat is specifically dated for 199X. How will this discrepancy be fixed? Well it could be an old hat (boring answer), or if Mari was born in 1987 (yes that year matters) then she'd have the hat just in time to die for 2003. Oh, why is 2003 significant specifically?

It can all be explained when you look past the child's play and instead see the heavy hitters.

Why are these literal soft boiled enemies so important? Because copypasta was (unfortunately) coined by 4Chan in 2006 and creepypasta (tragically) by the same... people in 2007. Let's hope that Sunny didn't frequent that cesspit and say that he saw a creepypasta on the internet, perhaps with an online video sharing platform that was invented by 2005. Now Mari can die in peace knowing that the timeline makes sense if she dies in 2003. But with his box computer that would be hard as the unsaid video player would be intensive for such an old tower.

Except that Sunny knows roughly what a laptop is, especially a thin one that isn't at least 6 inches tall to cool itself. Granted, it's not in the real world so maybe Sunny just... looked at images of laptops longingly or something. However the existence of the slim jim is very strange, because why the hell is everyone still using CRTs? The first somewhat commercially available plasma TV was made in 1995. It's at least 2007, why does everyone have a CRT?

Was this game made by a person who put a window that clearly looks outside in opposition with the next room over, which is just a hallway? Is Polly's dialog just wrong? Do Aubrey and her gang drive their scooters through a forested area behind construction and warning signs? Does Omori do a flip on his whole character? Certainly not, I mean there's consistency with the characters and the items they can realistically get.

The Why Do You Have This

Sunny was bad, but a silver bullet in this weird timeline. And he's literally the person we view this world through. So who could be worse at knowing when this game takes place?

These two lore breaking consistency smashing stability crashers ruin everything!

So how do they do it, first it's their characters with the fanbase and now they ruin time itself, how do they do it. Simple really, what's Basil's camera?

I mean it's a Polaroid right?

It's clearly a Polaroid, so no problems here. Mari, according to the wiki because I do not hold every single piece of dialog in my head, bought this and the photo album for Basil. Aw, how sweet of her.

What model of Polaroid

Simple, whatever came in the 90's right? Makes sense given how everything else comes straight out in the 90's. That's where you'd be wrong and my dissent into madness began. Because this model of camera wasn't made in the 90's, it wasn't the 80's, nope this camera was first produced in the 70's with this specific model being discontinued in the 80's. We are talking, of course, about the Polaroid SX-70 one step 1000 white rainbow edition. Not to be confused with all the SX-70 models that could fold, because Basil's camera clearly doesn't have a crease to fold on.

This bad boy is considered proper vintage circa a decade ago. So, how did Mari buy this for Basil? There wouldn't be any stores in the entire world providing this beast. Well, there was a certain invention made in 1995 which ruined everything like WoW auction house. Why we're talking about EBay of course, Mari could just jump on the old block PC and find the most expensive camera she wants. And I mean hey, her family can afford a grand piano... and a violin by doing "round the block money raising activities." So maybe she broke the bank for this.

So everything is solved right? Everything just magically falls into place because Mari bought a camera from the 70's that thankfully works and doesn't have any scratches or breaks or anything really on the chassis because wow that would be hard.

Well... how about that film?

I mean it's common knowledge that Polaroid died as it lived, standing and fighting inevitable change. And fight they did because film stopped being produced in 2008. Which falls right into the timeline right? Well yes, but there's another problem, supply chain distribution. Because no, you couldn't just walk into any store and buy the film. You probably could if you lived in a major city with an incredibly niche photography store. But for literally everyone else? No no no, you can only buy online and only at specific times where their 3 production plants could spit out the damn stuff.

So, when Basil clearly stated in the photo album that everyone (read, Mari and maybe Hero) chipped in to buy film, it was on a supply chain disaster. I called Kel a hipster before but no, it was Mari the whole time.

The TL;DR

This game was made by someone for sure. And Basil's camera ruins any form of consistency with the story. Because really, who has a personal computer in the 70's? Who has a SNES in the 80's? Who considers Pluto a former planet in the 90's? And who can afford instant film in the 2000's?

The simple search of what model Basil's camera was morphed into this, I am not sorry.

my thoughts after playing omori for the first time ever

(spoilers for omori down below! specifically good ending because that's the one i ended up getting.)

-so i expressed hating basil from the very start even before i knew his whole deal with mari just because i thought his vibes were off and i thought it was annoying how he was constantly playing the victim and the innocent uwu baby thing. i just hate when characters do that. and after finding out everything and the whole truth...i still hate him. i don't think he's evil or anything but come on he has such a victim complex it's so annoying. i spent the whole game slandering him even though i kept saving him. but he is far and away my least favorite character. i LOVE him as a character design-wise, though, he's a super interesting character with an amazing concept that is so creative. but uh i still hate him.

-i cannot choose a favorite character holy shit. if i had to pick with a gun to my head (or a knife LMAO) i would say aubrey. she's so complex and i love her to death, her whole journey and her personality and her design AHH, though the character who is the most like me is definitely kel.

-the music is GORGEOUS especially when the violin starts up.

-the entire game is so creative and the way it discusses grief, mental health, trauma, it's so genius. i'm obsessed and i will never see my life the same way ever again ever.

-i have so many fanfic ideas in my brain. i am going to write so many "mari lives" aus. i am going to write so many "basil falls off a cliff woohoo" aus (/hj). i am going to write so many "kel and omori go to college together and have fun" aus.

-does the fandom call omori sunny? is that like a thing? i keep seeing it and i'm wondering if it's a fandom thing! is it like chara and frisk where like the "bad" omori is omori and the "good" omori is sunny? is that what that is? i'm just a bit lost.

-i am OBSESSED with the way they handle moral greyness with omori/sunny/whatever the fuck his name is. it's done so well and executed beautifully. you don't feel bad for him entirely, but you also understand why he did everything he did, and you always find yourself rooting for him. it really teaches the audience that you shouldn't be a raging asshole who expects forgiveness just because you want it, but when you make mistakes, there's a chance at forgiveness and you can fight for that chance, even if it seems hopeless. i think omori does a much better job at teaching this than basil because to me, it seemed like basil just sort of expected forgiveness while omori didn't expect it but still chose to fight for it (at least in my ending).

-yeah i just love this game so much and i need people to talk to about it, preferably people who won't try to defend basil because i don't really care and i don't wanna hear it i am a proud hater LMAO.

Dumping some OMORI he's! First up, Sunny!

- Sunny is pretty delayed mentally due to reverting to childhood as such as a coping mechanism as well as the delay of being home for four years after Mari's death when he was 12 just sleeping and doing the bare minimum to care for himself alongside the neglect from his mother so alongside physical growth he is mentally stunted. mentally for a while, he is 12

- Kel is usually the one being told he stinks/hj but you know it bad when Kel is shoving Sunny to shower or something because of how long he's neglected himself people don't wanna talk about how long you neglect themselves with depression and stuff and how bad it is I think he rarely bathed during those four years and the trauma heightened everything too so that near drowning experience before made him just not wanna be in water too and just some sensory related issues with water

- he has very sensitive hearing and tons of sensory issues He gets overstimulated easily and it is a whole mess because he can't express himself well

- he's autistic and selectively mute adhd too

- he uses sign language alongside just physical contact and stuff and or communication cards and just writing stuff

- Sunny goes non-verbal even if it's not stressful but it's just a big thing and all or a stressor he reverts

- still childish due to the lack of aging mentally and just trying to keep it the way it was before per se And is also on the late developmental spectrum of autism

- he said his first words p late at 3-4 and it was "Mari" but Sunny had a bit of a speech impediment so speech therapy and it was "mawi" for ages

- he's Japanese & Korean English he speaks both but he had difficulties in learning someKorean was mainly at home and English outside but

- yk the raw steak and all thing? That is no longer his favorite food it makes him sick

- Sunny used to wear Mari's clothes a lot whether or not they were old He likes skirts in general a lot The cotton flowy ones because they aren't restricting

- Sunny's voice is developed well due to lack of speech so it hurts to speak at times and it's just raspy and all his baby face does not go with the deep quiet voice he has

- Sunny's bi and he had a crush on Aubrey as implied in canon and also Basil

- he has a collection of stuffed animals and blankets that he's piled on his bed the only thing is it's not messy like you'd expect it's meticulously organized was his side of the room and Mari's was a "mess" but she knew where everything was

- Sunny tends to mimic people a lot especially those he is close with like Mari for example

- After the good ending, Sunny grows his hair out to be like Mari's. Unlike before when he hadn't realized how long it'd grown in the past and had to cut it from sheer panic

- artistic v much so that he likes to draw and write shit but most of it will never see the light of day despite the horrifyingly good detailed nightmare fuel he wants hero to hang up on the fridge

- Mari and Hero's nickname for him is "Sunshine"

- Mari named Sunny because he straight up was a nameless baby for ages and she called him Sunny and he stuck

- Sunny sounds sarcastic and dry and all in everything even when he isn't and it's almost Mirroring Mari's issues in sounding rude and not genuine so they both have to overcompensate

- Sunny has RSD.

- severe separation anxiety

- I think he is still kinda religious he believes in god but that's about it especially because it kinda got shoved down his and Mari's throats as kids he stuck to it but Mari drifted away really

- Sunny is just really dense romantically to for any of the ships the others just have to yank him and say it straight up for him to realize hey, something there

- He doesn't register any flirting or sarcasm

- v sensitive but he just wasn't raised to think it safe to cry or put it out there he was very emotional when he was little and it was overwhelming with no outlet

- high sympathy autistic actually and it a probably meanwhile Maris low empathy autistic

- Sunny becomes a tattoo artist as an adult in the good ending

- Sunny has a scar where his eye was stabbed He goes between just with his eye/socket or just an eyepatch too

- has to wear sunscreen just to go outside or else he will just be burned. (It's good to protect yourself anyway) but Sunny is just so pale and sensitive skin and Mari always ingrained it into him to lather sunscreen to go outside

The autistic to autistic communication is not communicating and Sunny wanted to verbalize it and react to the overwhelming emotions without hurting himself or someone else so he acted out on the violin but Mari, his safe space, getting so angry and for a skittish kid and sensitive one he felt threatened and was scared so it resulted in the shove

- He particularly mimics Mari a lot in general so they share a lot of habits and all because of the mimicking and just being family and close but she is his go-to if he has to mimic and he doesn't even realize he's doing it

- Let's start this off by saying he LOVES to tell people about plants, not only because he's interested in them but also because he feels like it makes him smarter when he's the one able to give fun facts to people. 

- He's very down on himself, often not thinking he's good enough, even before the events of the game. So being able to go "Did you know-" really makes him feel better.

- He also enjoys hearing MARI talk about fun facts as well! He finds what she talks about is really interesting! She always seems to know so much! 

- He looks up to all his friends! But mostly SUNNY, MARI, and AUBREY! Those three have had the biggest impact on him in a good way! They've taught him to not be so down on himself and that people who actually want to be his friend will like him for who he is!

- When HERO and MARI aren't around he's usually the most responsible and reasonable one, trying to de-escalate fights between AUBREY and KEL. 

- He's also KEL's voice of reason when the two oldest aren't present. Often encouraging him to think before acts and to not do anything stupid.

- BASIL likes to play with AUBREY, KEL, and MARI's hair, he doesn't really know why, but he does! SUNNY and HERO's are too short and so he doesn't enjoy it as much. 

- Though he rarely ever gets to touch KEL's hair, since KEL doesn't like it when people touch it because he finds it embarrassing/too girly to play with hair.

- AUBREY's the one who enjoys it the most! She also offers to play with and do BASIL's hair! Which BASIL always accepts! 

- BASIL named some of his plants after all of his friends! He makes sure to take extra care of those ones! 

- Strikes me as the type of person to read an unGodly amount.  

- BASIL likes to share and trade books with HERO and MARI. Those two read a lot just like him! But the ones that HERO and MARI read have bigger words so sometimes he struggles.

- When BASIL doesn't know how to read a word he'll go to SUNNY and if SUNNY doesn't know how to read it he'll go to HERO! 

- He likes to help HERO and MARI cook and bake! He mostly just grabs ingredients, and always gets to lick the batter off after!

- Though sometimes KEL and AUBREY catch him and complain about not being able to lick the batter, making BASIL feel bad.

- He LOVES thunderstorms, there's just something about them that soothes him. He really loves to watch them as well!

- Reading is also another thing he likes to do during thunderstorms! The atmosphere is perfect for it!

- He loves to read to his grandma, mainly fairytales! He knows that fairytales were something she heavily grew up with and so he hopes that by reading fairytales to her he'll be able to get a smile out of her.

- He also likes to tell his grandma about adventures he goes on with his friends and what sort of trouble KEL and AUBREY get themselves into with HERO and MARI.

- She always laughs at his stories.

- BASIL loves to make people smile in general! He loves people's smiles! That's why he likes his friends so much! They smile so often, it really makes him happy!

- He likes to watch KEL and SUNNY play video games, he finds it funny when KEL rages! He always tells KEL "Don't worry! You'll definitely win next time!" but KEL never wins the next time.

- When SUNNY loses BASIL does the exact same thing, but in a more comforting way. As SUNNY doesn't rage, he's just sad.

- BASIL likes to share jokes with KEL and HERO, especially terrible puns. KEL always groans and rolls his eyes, but always snickers a little.

- HERO loves terrible puns, so he always laughs, he sometimes laughs so hard that even BASIL starts to laugh.

- BASIL likes to draw little flowers on his schoolwork, he also lets SUNNY draw onto his schoolwork too as well as AUBREY!

- He doesn't let KEL though... KEL finds it funny to draw peens. BASIL doesn't want to get in trouble.

- Sometimes his teachers get annoyed at the amount of doodles on his paper, but at the same time it makes the paper more interesting.

- Has definitely had a crush on both SUNNY and KEL. But after time those crushes went away. ( Sorry Sunflower, Cactiflower, and Sunkissed shippers :'( )

- BASIL heavily ships HERO and MARI together. He isn't like KEL and AUBREY who tell them to kiss, but if they kissed and he just so happened to have his camera on him you know he's taking a picture. 

- He'd probably lead KEL, SUNNY, and AUBREY away from the two so that they could catch a break and relax together.

- He likes to match clothes with SUNNY as much as possible! Which MARI finds absolutely adorable and KEL thinks is gross.

- BASIL often vents to SUNNY as he listens to BASIL, but he wouldn't be opposed to venting to AUBREY or HERO. 

- He knows KEL doesn't really know how to take anything seriously and that MARI would worry too much or more likely not understand so he prefers to avoid venting to those three. 

- SUNNY's a great listener in BASIL's eyes so that he more often then not chooses SUNNY. But if he wants actual advice he'll talk to HERO about it. 

- He's a cuddler, he loves to cuddle, which often makes his hugs last way too long. His favorite people to hug are AUBREY, MARI and HERO!

- BASIL is the one who explains things to SUNNY after he's done zoning out along with MARI! MARI does have a tendency to tell him "Don't worry about it." though. 

- BASIL prefers to actually explain what he missed, which is usually just KEL and AUBREY bickering or HERO and MARI flirting.

- Is a little shy around new people but becomes more open very quickly! Especially when one of his other friends are there with him!

- Out of instinct BASIL probably complains about plants that aren't taken care of, like at school. He'll notice it's too dehydrated, too cramped, etc, and immediately complains to his friends about it.

- KEL's reaction is very much "So?"

- AUBREY always gives him a smile and says "Lets go tell them about it!" - SUNNY tries to comfort BASIL, telling him "I'm sure they'll notice eventually..."

- HERO's reaction is definitely a mix of AUBREY and SUNNY's "I'm sure that they'll notice but if they don't we can tell them about it!" - MARI's is something along the lines of "Oh no! Poor plant! Why don't we help it out?" - BASIL likes to let AUBREY sleep over at his house because he knows that her home life isn't great from what she's told him. 

- He'll even set up a spot for Mr. Eggplant! As well as wishing Mr. Eggplant goodnight along with AUBREY!

let me summarize the plot for this decade old game

you wake up in the pokemon world and realize you have turned into a pokemon! meaning you were human before!? ur pokemon partner finds you on the beach, traumadumps on you, then you get assaulted, and your partner forces you to join a guild with them because they have social anxiety. then time travel gets involved and this grovyle dude starts stealing time gears and people think hes trying to stop time!! but no!! he's trying to prevent it!! and then this dusknoir guy who you thought was a good guy stops being good and is working under dialga who wants to stop time !! and then you, your partner, and grovyle gets sent to the future and everything's shit so you find shiny celebi to go back to the present and stop the world from paralyzing!!!! also you find out that when you were a human you were friends with grovyle and when you and grovyle went back to the present you lost ur memory and turned into a pokemon (cuz time stuff)

ok yeah, so to put this in a lupin context, lupin(zorua) and jigen(murkrow) are the protag and partner, who joined the guild purely cuz jigen had nothing going on in his life and lupin convinces him that the cool rock he found could lead to cool stuff if they join the wigglytuff guild and stuff

when the Shit Goes Down, they meet fujiko(vulpix) who is the grovyle of this au and they think she's the bad one due to zenigata's (who stays as dusknoir) manipulation.

and goemon is the shiny celebi, if you dont know celebi has a crush on grovyle and grovyle's also shipped a lot with dusknoir so its kinda like a cute goemon x fujiko x zeni couple hehe

if we wanna go in depth with my pkmon choices, i picked zorua for lupin because it is a pokemon capable of disguising as anything. jigen is a murkrow because of the hat and their tendency to follow. fujiko is a vulpix because it feels right for her to be a red fox. also ninetales just didn't feel right. goemon and zeni kept the og pokemon because i felt that it fits. also celebi's the only other pokemon aside from dialga that can time travel, so there wasn't much of an option to begin with.

there's no extra info or kirby lore needed to understand this au. they still steal shit, they're just kirby characters now!

in the drawing i have right here, lupin is a waddle dee because of their monkey-like appearance. but I've changed him to a key dee after that drawing because they unlock doors and are much more monkey-like than original waddle dees.

jigen is a waddle doo. there's no deep reason for this, he just really fits as a doo.

goemon is the same species as meta knight. they're both swordsmen so i decided to go with that. i tried keeping the knights notif for his design but with a more japanese feel, still partially hiding his face, and giving him gloves and shoes. i imagine before he became friends with lupin his body would look much more similar to the knight characters.

Weird thought but how do you think the group was like as babies and silly baby/toddler shenanigans they got into.

Haha this is cute as heck nonnie! I’d love to give you some of these, but I’ve put a good bunch of these types of headcanons spaced out around all my other stuff, so I hope this doesn’t sound too repetitive from what I’ve already done before for you!

Kel was the escape artist baby. He drove his parents insane because the second he was put down on his own, he was moving and trying to get away. He really couldn’t be left to his own devices whatsoever, because his mom would put him down in the playpen, walk away to get a bottle or anything, and she would come back to an empty crib. 

Hero was a lifesaver for her. He was in daycare for half the day, but when he was home she used to assign him to baby-watching. Usually she was with the boys, but when she had to make dinner or needed a moment alone she knew she could trust Hero to come and tell her if Kel was trying to get out again.

This is shamelessly stolen from my longer fics, but I can’t not have it said again. Hero referred to Kel solely as ‘the baby’ or just ‘baby’ for at least the first four years of Kel’s life. When he turned five Kel rebelled and was adamant that he was no longer a baby, so Hero stopped, but he still pulls it out for specific situations (Not me staring at New Normal)

Mari and Hero used to read to baby Sunny and baby Kel. When the two little ones were one or so, Hero and Mari used to come home together from kindergarten and set everything up. 

They would have the two babies be put in the living room and pull out a big stack of picture books. They would each take turns reading one of the books while showing the pictures to the two tiny ones like their teacher showed them. 

Mari never really got out of the habit of reading to Sunny, and even when they were older she would sometimes pull him into the living room to sit on the couch together and listen to her read whatever she was working on for school. 

There are certain books Sunny can’t look at now without significant pain in his chest, and one of those books is Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. That was Mari’s favorite book to read to him when they were little. He has forgotten a lot of tiny details about his sister, but when he sees the cover of that book he can hear her doing the voices in his head, and it hurts, but sometimes it’s nice to remember her voice. 

Sunny was the toddler that would repeat everything he heard. Any bad words, any secrets, the only time he would talk would be to unintentionally cause chaos. 

Mari and Hero were both that perfect first baby that lulled their collective parents into a false sense of security. Neither set of parents were prepared for the challenges that baby sunny and baby kel came with. 

Aubrey was a very colicky baby. She cried and wailed and generally was pretty miserable. Her mother was stressed out to the max and her parents agreed only three months in this would be their only child. 

Aubrey mellowed out around 6 months old, but just in time for her to start teething...... her parents loved to joke that it was good Aubrey was a lovely child, because she was a little hellraiser as a baby. 

Basil was a quiet baby, but it wasn’t quiet in the happy way that Mari and Hero were fairly quiet. 

Basil was alone too much as a baby and it affected him deeply (I have this whole meta thing about why Basil is so clingy and that actually has a lot to do with infant/toddler psyche and being left alone too much. We have literal studies about why babies cannot be left on their own, but Basil’s parents hadn’t wanted this baby so they didn’t do enough to prepare for their newborn)

When his grandmother visited she saw the signs and immediately began plans to move in. She was the one who took care of Basil, and as disappointed as she was in her daughter and her husband, she was just happy to have such a sweet little boy to love. Basil spent most of his time as a toddler glued to her hip.

they talk about flowers and art and stuff together

he panics a bit at first if the baby cries, and he doesn't really know what to do

if they're a baby and he had to change a diaper, he'll put on gloves and goggles and everything like it's hazardous

puts their drawings up on the fridge in his house

you trust POLLY so often if you're both at school and your parents are busy, POLLY takes care of them

he really likes the idea of living with you and the kid in the future

AUBREY

she doesn't know how to feel at first

a child??!! how are you going to juggle a kid, school and a job all at once???!!!? what about bills????'!!!?!?

over time she grows closer to the kid, and although she herself is a delinquent, she makes sure to nail it into their head that drugs and alcohol are bad

takes up a part-time job as a pizza deliverer to help out

she doesn't want the baby in her own house because of the state of it, so if she needs to watch the kid while you're gone then she'll usually do it at your house

she's kind of worried about bringing the kid to meet the hooligans, but she knows that they care and won't be reckless with a child, especially AUBREY's (it's technically your kid but she sees it more as both of yours)

the kid and the hooligans really get along and they get into all sorts of trouble as the kid gets older (you scold her for it but you know they have good intentions)

a part of her is worried she could grow up to be like her mom, so she's determined to treat the kid with lots of respect and be a great mother.

KEL

although KEL has matured over the years, there's still a part of him that's a little clueless

when SALLY was born, KEL grew a lot of knowledge on how to take care of a baby

he isn't good at getting the baby to stop crying, but he tries

(when he eventually gets it he's so hyped he throws a party n everything)

SALLY and your kid have playdates i don't make the rules

he ends up asking HERO for some advice, and whenever KEL is babysitting them at his house, HERO and the child end up becoming friends

KEL buys one of those backpack things for babies where you can put them on your back or chest and carries the kid around like that

he teaches them to play basketball and other sports from a young age

hc that your parents have a huge soft spot for KEL so if he like,, shows up to your parents house one day asking them to watch the baby they have to comply because he's a sweetheart

HERO

when you have two younger siblings, you learn a lot about children

he's super great at everything. if you wake up late in the day, tired and stressed because you have to get the kid to daycare or change their diaper, you bet your ass that he's already done it

loves making you breakfast, and makes little bear-shaped pancakes and such for the kiddo

you all have picnics a lot

he loves kids, and doesn't like seeing you stressed so he helps out as much as he can

you tell him over and over again that it's your kid and he doesn't need to do all of this

but he's already canceling this semester of college to be a full-time house wife so you can get through your semester

he is very much a dad. like the daddest dad you've ever seen he loves doing things with the kids like going to the beach

MARI never really decided wether or not she wanted kids in the future, and sometimes she might act as more of a big sister than a mom

but she still has intense instincts to protect and care for the kid

the little shit is gonna grow up to be as devious as MARI,, so now you have two little pranksters around

she reads them a bedtime story every night no matter how old they are, and she gets a little sad when they become a tween and tell her they're 'too old' for bedtime stories

i don't. Know why but i think MARI would love to teach them skills like sewing, knitting, baking etc.

she is an amazing helper, sometimes too much

you have to tell her time and time again to stop overworking herself but she's so anxious with the kid

as they grow into a child-teen, she gets more relaxed because they don't need constant supervision

she still sees SUNNY as her baby brother even if he's older now so the kiddo and SUNNY have playdates together

Chapter 31: Brave New Steps Part II

(A COUPLE YEARS LATER….)

Mari was crying as she watched her little brother walk across the stage of the auditorium.

He was graduating…and she couldn’t find the right words to describe just how happy and proud she was of him.

And yet, the nostalgic part of her was crying her heart out because she felt like it was still too soon.

….

….

They’ve definitely come a long way since the accident six years ago….

It’s hard to believe that it was that long ago…or that it even happened.

Sunny was more confident and open about himself and his emotions. Mari was taking more notice of her surroundings and said surroundings much more seriously. And they were happier with themselves because of that.

Hero rubbed Mari’s back with a comforting smile, “It’s alright, Mari. It’s okay.” “No, it’s not! Our baby brothers are both growing up too fast!” The young woman exclaimed.

The young man sighed softly, “The sororal instinct in you is showing again.” Mari gave an annoyed expression, “Oh hush. We might have kids one day and you and I would be reacting the same way when they graduate.”

Speaking of parents, she was really glad that Aubrey agreed to move in with her and Hero, far away from her bitch of a biological mother….

As for getting Sunny to move in with her and Hero…it was a long argument with their mother about that.

It was difficult...for her to keep her frustration in check. But when her mother claimed that moving away from Faraway was for the best and that benefit of her children, Mari nearly lost it.

Considering that her mother wasn't giving her or Sunny much choices, it wasn't hard for the young woman to compare her mother to her father....

Mari expressed firmly that regardless of how well she meant and what job opportunities she had, her mother was still being dishonest with her children.

She also reminded her mother that, despite having woken up from a four-year coma, she was closer to being an adult than a child...and deserved to make her own choices.

She also argued that Sunny should be making his own choices too.

The young woman felt bad....

She never had seen her mother so...heartbroken before. But in the end, she gave in to her daughter and son's wishes.

Though to make sure that her children had support, she offered to pay for whatever rent Mari and Hero's apartment needed until the group had a stable source of income.

Mari agreed without hesitation, knowing that none of the group were ready for jobs yet....

....

When Sunny and Aubrey were both moved in and situated, they both expressed interest in helping Mari and Hero maintain this group home.

Mari ultimately agreed to the whole idea, despite being initially worried about how it might effect their stress. Hero also suggested that the teens wait until they graduate before job-searching, which also helped relieve some of Mari's worries.

After the graduation ceremony, the group met in the parking lot, where upon spotting her little brother, Mari swept him up in a tight hug. “I’m so proud of you, sunshine.” She grinned.

Sunny hummed, simply resting his head on his sister’s shoulder, before the young woman reminded him, “You can take a nice long nap when we get home, alright?”

Feeling Sunny nodding against her, Mari motioned Aubrey to join her, hugging her tightly as well. “I’m so so proud of you two.” She told the teenagers.

As Aubrey hugged back, she asked with a small smile, “Did you two cry?” “Of course I cried!” The young woman exclaimed, before pouting, “You’re not allowed to be 18 yet….”

“Not when I missed out on four years of you two grow up.” She added, feeling Sunny hug her tighter. Mari combed her brother’s hair with a sad expression. She knew that he was feeling guilty about what happened again….

He was likely going to feel like this occasionally for a long time after this.

The two of them would get through it, though….

“Hero started sobbing when Kel got on stage.” Mari said, changing topics. Kel, who was only a few feet away, gave a grin, “He is right now. Like a mother hen.”

“No, I’m not!” Hero exclaimed, tears running down his face as if it were a comic strip. Mari gave a small chuckle, before releasing Sunny and Aubrey, “Come on. First, we’re going home to relax and then we’ll have dinner with everyone.”

“Who’s coming?” Kel asked as the five went to the van. Hero smiled, “Mincy, for one. Basil and Polly too.” Mari scratched her hair as she said, “Aria, Angel, the Baker twins, Mihkael, Mom, Hero and Kel’s parents and Sally….”

“So everyone…in the literal sense.” Aubrey said, receiving a nervous chuckle from the young woman. “Uh, yeah….” Mari answered, rubbing the back of her neck.

As soon as the group got in the van, Sunny with Kel and Aubrey in the back, leaned against Kel's shoulder as he began dozing off. The teenage girl tapped Mari's shoulder, causing the young woman to turn and look at her brother and Kel, before smiling.

Taking a quick picture, she brought a finger to her lips with a soft hum, before sitting back in the front passenger's seat. She'll get Kel or Aubrey to help her bring Sunny indoors when they got home.

Right now, he deserves some shut-eye.

Omori: Recovery Route (A Coma-Mari AU by pyroanime2k16)

A/N: Sorry. No special cover this time. Also, this will primarily focus on Mari and Sunny's interactions, as that's what I write best.

Chapter 1: Case Of Awareness

Mari would've had to be a fool in order to NOT notice what her brother was going through.

Even now, as they were practicing for the recital one more time, the girl could tell how stressed Sunny seemed.

She could tell that he was growing tired and frustrated with the constant practice of the recital. Her perfectionism and their father's expectations certainly weren't helping and she knew it....

The older of the two siblings wanted to apologize in some way. A way that could actually be felt.

Mari was also worried about straining or ruining her sibling relationship with Sunny.

Eventually, the practice ended and Sunny quietly left the room. Mari felt a sickening feeling in her abdomen.

....

And then there was the sound of something shattering on the floor, cuing Mari to immediately stand up and rush to the foyer, spotting a broken violin at the bottom of the stairs.

The teenage girl paled. She screwed up. She was certain that she had fucked up now....

Especially when she turned to face Sunny, who was struggling to calm down. He was heaving, his arms shaking as he tried...and failed to take in deep breaths.

Mari went up the stairs. She had to fix this. She let this happen for too long. She had to do something to make up for it.

"Sunny...?" The teenager called out, cuing the boy to instinctively turn away. "Sunny, please look at me."

The boy didn't say anything for a few moments, before mumbling, “Please leave me alone….” His sister shook her head, “Brother, please talk to me…!”

“Mari, please stop….” The boy mumbled at a volume that was to quiet to hear. He was struggling to keep himself calm.

He wanted to run. He wanted to leave.

"Please just...talk to me, Sunny...!" The teenager pleaded. "Please let me try to help...!"

The boy shook his head, trying to block the words out. He needed to leave. To be alone to calm down.

Eventually, after a few more moments of back and forth, Sunny just...couldn't take it anymore and chose to push Mari away to give him some distance....

...Except both parties forgot that they were on top of the stairs. Upon being pushed, Mari's bad knee ultimately buckled painfully, causing her to fall towards the stairs....

Almost on pure instinct and in a state of shock, Sunny lurched forward and grabbed Mari's hand with his left, holding the railing with his right.

Almost immediately, the boy's weak grip began slipping, cuing him to tighten his hold as much as he could. The two siblings looked at each other, still in shock by what just happened.

The older of the two siblings, much to Sunny's surprise, just gave a weak and sad smile as the boy's grip ultimately failed.

The boy could only watch in horror as his sister collapsed on the stairs and tumbled to the floor.

The boy stood in fright and silence, before eventually working up the courage to walk down towards Mari. Of course, he understandably assumed that she was dead....

That he accidentally killed his own sister....

Then he heard the very faint sound of breathing. After kneeling down and putting his ear near his sister's face, he was able confirm it.

The breathing was obviously strained...as a result of severe pain and a near-fatal incident....

But Mari was miraculously alive. Unconscious, but alive....

Though, before he could react to that, Sunny realized that there was another person in the house...right in the front doorway as he glanced up.

"Basil...?" The boy whispered, noticing the equally shocked and frightened blonde.

Basil then asked in a shaky voice, "I-Is she...?" "She's...alive.... Needs help. NOW...." Sunny responded as attempted to control his breathing.

"Get Kel and Hero's mom or dad...." The boy pleaded, which resulted in the blonde rushing next door in a panic....

...Leaving Sunny alone to hold Mari in his arms and whisper apology after apology....

First impression: listen the moment i saw him ‘hiding’ behind that tetherball pole my brain solidified him as the bestest boi ever

Impression now: he’s happy but he’s also not and he’s just. so important and so supportive and just so much good comes out of him. i love him so much and i really really think he deserves to let himself feel, to let himself have the chance to deal with his pain and his worries with his friends supporting him but he won’t do it and just aa a a a a aa a g h g h h h. kel you’re allowed to feel bad about things that hurt you i promise :’)

Favorite moment: “Just because you’ve done something bad… doesn’t make you bad.” again this is technically a dream kel thing but i really feel like it has so much of kel’s vibes of believing in the best of his friends and being too forgiving of the things that hurt him :’)

Idea for a story: there are Many. Many. ummm… obviously we have TCoME my beloved forever wip fic, besties AU with Aubrey, divorce AU, makeup Kel one shot that isn’t finished, dreamwalker AU, and yeah aLL of these are Kel-centric and pretty much unwritten but they live in my head rent-free at all times :D

Unpopular opinion: I don’t really think Kel would be the first to forgive? At least.. not really. He’d say he forgives them, but that wouldn’t make the bitter feelings of hurt and betrayal go away, wouldn’t make it easier to talk to his old friends again. And he hates it, and he doesn’t get why he’s still angry, he doesn’t want to be angry, he should be over it already, and yet. He’s not over it. He’s not over a lot of things. But it doesn’t matter, because if he’s upset then he’ll lose his friends the same way he hurt his brother. He’s not allowed to be upset. Not if he wants to keep the people dearest to him.

All he can do is forgive and forget until he can’t anymore.

Favorite Relationship: Kel and Hero :> brothers your honor. they’ve got a lot of stuff they gotta work through but they’re still best bros regardless <3

Favorite Headcanon: at least right now, my favorite headcanon is that the reason Dream Kel has a similar angry and afraid expression to Omori and Sunny is because back when they were younger, Sunny saw the same frustration that he sometimes felt towards Mari in the way Kel sometimes talked about Hero. That ugly, guilty, bitter resentment and anxiety at being the lesser, more useless, more forgettable, more unlovable younger siblings to the perfect golden children, never doing enough to be good enough for them. He saw that same feeling in Kel, and subconsciously started projecting that on Dream Kel :>

Dumping (New & Old) Sunny headcanons

- Sunny’s p mentally delayed in development and all due to spending four years after Mari’s death when he was 12 just sleeping and doing the bare minimum to care for himself alongside the neglect from his mother so alongside physical growth he is mentally stunted

- Kel is usually the one being told he stinks/hj but you know its bad when kel is shoving Sunny to shower or something because of how long he’s neglected himself

Like people dont wanna talk about how long you neglect yourself with depression and stuff and how bad it is i think he rarely bathed during those four years

And the trauma heightened everything too so that near drowning experience before made him just not wanna be in water too and just some sensory related issues with water

- he has v sensitive hearing and like tons of sensory issues

He gets overstimulated easily and its a whole mess because he can’t express himself well

- he’s autistic and selectively mute adhd too

- he uses sign language alongside just physical contact and stuff and or communication cards and just writing stuff

- Sunny goes non-verbal even if its not stressful but its just a big thing and all or a stressor he reverts

- still p childish due to the lack of aging mentally and just trying to keep it thr way it was before per se

And hes also on the late developmental spectrum of autism

- he said his first words p late at 3-4 and it was “mari” but sunny had a bit of speech impediment so speech therapy and it was “mawi” for ages

- he’s Japanese & Korean alongside English he speaks both but like he had difficulties in learning some

Korean was mainly at home and English outside but he had difficulties in learning

- yk the raw steak and all thing? That is no longer his favorite food it makes him sick

- Sunny used to wear Mari’s clothes a lot whether it or not they were old

He likes skirts in general a lot

- Sunny’s voice is developed really well due to lack of speech so it hurts to speak at times and its just raspy and all his baby face does not go with thr deep quiet voice he has (but it’s still a very very quiet hushed voice)

- Sunny’s bi and he had a crush on Aubrey as implied in canon and also Basil

- he has a collection of stuffed animals and blankets that he’s piled on his bed the only thing is it’s not messy like you’d expect it’s meticulously organized was his side of the room and mari’s was a “mess” but she knew where everything was

- Sunny tends to mimic people a lot especially those he is close with like Mari for example

- After the good ending, Sunny grows his hair out to be like Mari’s. Unlike before when he hadn’t realized how long it’d grown in the past and had to cut it from sheer panic

- artistic v much so he likes to draw and write shit but most of it will never see the light of day despite the horrifyingly good detailed nightmare fuel je wants hero to hang up on the fridge

- Mari and Hero’s nickname for him is “sunshine”

- Sunny’s knife is his emotional support, he snatched it from Hero & Kel’s kitchen so when Kel takes it from him he realizes that was the missing knife and is like ?? “Why do you have our knife???”

- Mari & Hero would always Kiss injuries better for the younger kid and Sunny is convinced it still worked so Basil does it for Sunny’s eye and when sunny stabbed aubrey he tried to do that ti apologize and aubrey was slike “WHAT THE FUCK??”

- Sunny has a scar where his eye was stabbed

He goes between just with his eye/socket or just a eyepatch too

- has to wear sunscreen just to go outside or else he will just be burned. (It’s good to protect yourself anyways) but Sunny is just so pale and sensitive skin and Mari always ingrained it into him to lather sunscreen to go outside

- Sunny sucked on his thumb for a long time as a kid as a form of self-soothing that his and Mari’s parents - particularly their dad always found annoying and would make him stop.

- Rocking and just hugging himself and rubbing his arms is also more self-soothing Sunny tends to do.

- Sunny has a sensory processing disorder.

- Sunny purrs when sleeping or comfortable.

- Has a maladaptive daydreaming disorder.

- Sunny stares and makes eye contact way too much he doesn’t realize it, especially in bow it’s considered weird.

- Sunny doesn’t blush in romantic situations but mostly when embarrassed in particular. Or when he’s happy.

Hooligans headcanons! Just because

Angel is the youngest in the group by 2 years, because of this he gets away with more chaos with the price of being babyed

Aubrey used to crush any gladiolus she saw during the 4 years (it brings back pained memories)

Charlene refuses to acknowledge her reddit brother exist

Kim and Kel would always have a sports match to see who is better

Mikhael loves fashion and would sometimes sketch clothes he would want to see exist

Vance loves to babysit kids before he joined the hooligans and would look out for the younger kids (personally he doesn't know why he stopped since he loved it)

Angel sees Charlie as his dad and Mikhael as his mom, they are both parental figures to him even if these 2 don't talk to eachother much, they fill that role for him and he is happy with it

Basil always know who Aubrey have a crush on just by looking at her even if Aubrey doesn't realize her crush yet

Charlene and Sunny befriended eachother after the good ending, now these 2 either listen to music, colour, and or talk about their hyperactive friends who are talkitive and also somehow manages to get them in trouble yet they still love them for who they are

Kim hates sour candy or actually anything sour, unlike his brother who love sweet and sour

Mikhael is bad at picking up signals for anything, he blames his family for it since they all are terrible at picking up signals

Vance one time got upset that Kim ate all of his candy that he spoke spanish for an entire week (I headcanon him and Kim to be half Japanese half Spanish)

Angel have this weird thing with honorifics, he uses it on almost everyone and it is always the wrong ones to use (ie he calls his teachers Master, Aubrey is Sir, his friend's parents are either Sire and Madam, ect.) if he doesn't use an honorific on you it is either A) he doesn't know you or B) he doesn't respect you enough to give you one/loss the respect (it seriously hits hard to the people close to him when he stops using it on them)

Aubrey always saw Basil as a younger brother (even though he is older) and would try to copy Hero and Mari on how they act towards Sunny and Kel, she would congratulate him on the smallest of achievement, she would pet his hair when he being energetic to calm him down, she would tease him on small things, she would always try to protect him from anything that would harm him no matter what. After everything that happened in the good ending, Basil forgive Aubrey for everything she has did to him, but he no longer allows her to treat him the same when they were younger, that bond and trust is long gone and it would take a very long time until it can be rebuilt

Charlene hates how intimidating she looks even though it is good at stopping her from getting bad attention it also makes people want to avoid her, she never had any friends growing up because of that, so she always played with her stuffed toys and dolls. Charlie would try to get her older brother to play with her when she was younger, but he always brushed her off and stayed in his room. The hooligan where her first actual friend group

Kim knows every dinosaur fact ever and she will fight anyone who gets a fact slightly wrong, she doesn't know why she hold on to her dinosaur beliefs so strongly and she sometimes stay up at night and question if she might be a reincarnated dinosaur trying to relearn her culture and that is why she is like this

Mikhael have those rare moments in which him and his siblings are on speaking terms even if it was just a few minuetes, they would usually talk about the past (before Mikhael was 6 years old since that is when they drifted apart) their favorite memory is When Mikhael was using names, but had a difficult time trying to pronounce Daphne's name so they would ask him "do you want to speak to Bowen 1 or Bowen 2? Which Bowen is it? This Bowen or that Bowen" it usually takes about 2 minutes until they figured out which sibling he was talking about. They all wish they could go back to that time, Mikhael feels like that is too late even when his siblings are trying hard to get him to get him to hang out with him again like he used to

Vance have a hard time saying no to Kim, even when it is something that needs to have his foot down on, he can't bring himself to do that. He just tags along to whatever she does instead because if he can't stop her then why not join her?

Angel's hair clips where gifts from his sister when they were younger, he would panic if he where to ever lose them

Aubrey have been known to be a bunny whisperer, Kel usually teases her about it; little does she know is that Kel is the same thing, but with dogs and Sunny is like that with cats

Charlene helps Angel with his injuries since he is kind of danger prone when doing so she like to hum songs that her mom songs to her when she have a hard time sleeping when she was younger (I definitely see her humming "you are my sunshine")

Kim would always play tetherball as it was her favorite game, she wanted to be in a tetherball championship because if she trained hard enough she knows she will win no matter what, that is until she found out that there is no such thing as a tetherball championship since it is an informal sport, after that she was pretty upset for an entire week

Mikhael likes learning languages because he finds the way people speak to eachother beautiful (other than English hee currently knows Italian and French since these are his own languages, but he learned how to speak Spanish and is currently learning Korean)

Vance relies on candy to keep his energy when he runs out he is usually tired and lays in bed for a very long time
