MACHINE-INDUCED INSANITY 💔💔💔💔
more ranting below the cut
got a windows surface tablet recently cause i needed a standalone drawing tablet and since i once had a display tablet that hooked up to my puter i’m most familiar with windows apps like firealpaca; my display tablet broke a while ago (also why i got the surface pro) and after readjusting to firealpaca (and drawing on a tablet again in general. i’ve been restricted to drawing on my phone since my display tab broke up until now) i decided v0 was due for a new ref
some things of note: this tablet only has like 4gb of ram. which works fine for what i’m using it for but that means it gets a bit slow if i have too many layers/too many tabs/try to do things real fast. this tablet also doesn’t have gesture comprehension so i cant do things like double tap/triple tap to undo/redo, i have to tap the buttons on the screen manually. i also don’t have a keyboard attachment yet and i’m not really looking to get one i just need that xp pen thingy that has all the button shortcuts but until i have that i have to manually select to and from each tool and i can’t use shift or ctrl which limits me from quite a few things (like straight line tool, the ability to select multiple things at once, etc). it’s not that much of an issue but it is a hinderance ALSO this things touch sensitivity is a bit high so even with my smudge guard, i accidentally tap on things all the time with my palm if i dare press my hand down with any pressure at all
(P.S. this isn’t to say the tablet is bad. if you’re looking for a windows drawing tablet or something it’s very nice and the one i have (i think it’s the 6?) was a very good price. would recommend. most the issues are circumventable)
anyways i was working on v0’s new ref right. that shit took me 5-6 hours for just the fucking sketch and lines the most i’ve done color wise is the clipping layer and that’s it. and i cant continue rn because 1: don’t have an image i can get v0’s colors from saved on my tablet yet (and i’m not currently at home so i have no wifi. cant get a ref image til i get home) and 2: i forgot i was supposed to be drawing it on vc tonight with another friend of mine (@cikdik) so i’m waiting til then anyways
mind you i have to color this thing lineless. i had to do actual lineart however becayse i needed the clipping layer to be seamless and also guidelines you know. so that’s another like 4+ hours at best
and that’s just for the fucking front facing view wgich i have also. yet to line its tail to and its wing things onto it so that’s not even done yet and whenever i do get done with that i have to then draw a side view and a back view and i’ve been holding my pen so long without break up until now my hand hurts just a little bit
anyways sorry about the impossibly long post i just needed to talk more so i didn’t get mad about it. thank you for coming to my ted talk and thank you @athiav2 for listening to the bullshit i was spouting
#if i start adding more than the necessary tags to this i will have ten million tags so#self control#matryx speaks#ultrakill#ultrakill oc#v0#long post#uhh#yeah that’s good enough

That’s not what I was saying, did you read the post? You deliberately chose to draw both characters much lighter than they are, and the only reason I color dropped Espresso is because for someone who doesn’t know the character, it’s much less obvious.
Point-by-point, I’m not saying you shouldn’t experiment with different skin tones, I’m saying you should make sure that (especially when you usually draw white characters) you’re drawing them with a similar skin tone that they have in canon.
Blaming the people calling others out for whitewashing or racist behavior because it scares people away from drawing POC characters is just straight up bullshit. Most people are much nicer than I’ve been, and I suppose I did come on too strong, so I’m sorry for that. However, you do realize most people don’t draw POC characters isn’t because they’re soooo scared that someone’s going to call them out because they drew a character ONE shade lighter. There’s no societal pressure to draw POC.
You’ve never been consistent with skin tones and you don’t color drop? Me neither, and yet none of my drawings have whitewashed a character like that.
Here’s my last four posted drawings in comparison with Affogato’s canon skin tone. I typically use many overlays and/or harsh lighting.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8c7e903c574d71e728d4f5b611e2291c/8304827194a91693-9d/s540x810/332cf6c906f4d2bae537d50eb1c4d9f194473612.jpg)
I didn’t color drop your white characters because I didn’t color drop Affogato or Espresso. As previously stated, the image of color dropping is only there for clarity. Also, drawing a white person a little lighter or darker than their canon skin is not at all comparable to whitewashing a darkskin POC. The problem isn’t that you didn’t draw him his exact skin tone, the problem is that you drew both of them noticeably lighter than their actual skin, and (as stated before) these are the only two POCs you’ve drawn in over a year. I said this, but you clearly didn’t read my previous reblog.
The fact that you’re a “learning artist” means nothing to me. It took me literally less than a month to learn how to draw POC features, do you want me to link some tutorials? Also, are you “learning” to use the lower half of a color wheel too? It’s a deliberate choice, everything in art is intentional. You didn’t just accidentally draw Affogato literally whiter than the canonical white cookies. I could understand for Espresso, but seriously?
I hear that you had an eye infection, and I’m sorry about that. However, your choices and actions are still your own. You chose to draw with an eye infection that made it hard for you to draw. You chose to post it and you chose to impose a harsh timetable upon yourself. You don’t have a consistent schedule, nor do you seem to have people forcing you to draw and post. But I don’t know your life, maybe you do, and I’m sorry for invalidating your experience.
For what you should do now, that’s not up to me. You said you were “sincerely sorry” but you didn’t own up to your actions and made excuses and shifted the blame. As previously stated, I want you to delete it or private it or something because it’s annoying to see every time I open the app, but I can’t make you do anything. Despite your insistence you can’t do anything, there’s a lot you can do to change colors after the drawing is finished- even if it’s all on one layer. I can link tutorials or show you myself. You could also put in a bit of effort and learn how to draw POC features, so even if you get another eye infection or something of the sort, it looks like you made a mistake and not like you were being deliberate. Once again, I’d be more than happy to find some tutorials for you.
Affo 🥰🥰

today was my birthday!! ( ᐛ )و the ceaseless march of time never stops, but that’s not what i’m here to talk about, i got gifted a copy of realistic paint studio by my family! and i thought i’d share my thoughts here
all the fun of oil painting without the carcinogenic terrors of cadmium yellow!
so i’m coming at this from somebody who
primarily uses, and will continue to use, clip studio paint
has never actually used oil paints in any significant way
absolutely TANKED high school art classes back in the day. i mean bombed. i mean nosedive. sub f tier. my teacher pulled me aside and said i should give up on art school to save the place for ‘somebody who actually has talent, you will never be good’ tier. i kept at it anyway but all that to say that there’s a classical, ‘right’ way to do these sorts of things and i’m actually not sure what that is because i’m self-taught, so if you’re in the same boat this overview might be of use to you
right out the gate this thing costs £30, if you want the ‘vip’ set (which is only £5 more than the ‘base’ set and comes with extra tools so i’d just go for it). upfront i will say, clip studio paint often goes on sale for £25 and has a wealth of tools available to it. if you have a choice, without a doubt, pick up csp. the free asset store alone is unbelievable. this thing is robust but only in certain aspects, think of it more as a very, very advanced toy
realistic paint studio has a fun feature going for it, tutorials! you know those old bob ross paintalongs? almost every tool has a reference picture and a guide that teaches you how to use it, especially for the more difficult ones like watercolours
a couple i did
the pros:
the engine that handles paint and mixing is unbelievable. it is absolutely incredible. i’ve used a lot of art programs in my time (GIMP, photoshop, krita, csp, and whatever weird little novelties i’ve found floating around like alchemy, etc) and rps feels buttery smooth. unmatched
every brush you can use comes with a demonstration of how you can use it and for what purpose
far closer to traditional mediums as far as colour and general ‘feel’ goes so if you’re looking to make the jump from traditional to drawing tablet this is a great middle ground while you get used to it
supports tilt (but very usable without it, and i’m saying that as someone who doesn’t use a tilt tablet)
buttery smooth. i’m listing it again. i cannot stress this enough
the cons:
if you’re coming to this program from photoshop/csp the QoL features you are used to are gone. the transform tool is manageable but there is no mesh transform or perspective warp. no layer modes. no multiply, no overlay, no dodge, no hue sliders, no cropping, no gradient maps, no liquify. they were not kidding when they said ‘realistic’, if you make a mistake you have to rawdog it and paint over it.
the ui is not a traditional art program ui. you click toolboxes which bring up brushes, and you select from that set, then the box drifts off-screen. you’re either going to love this or hate it. you can assign certain brushes to hotkeys under the favouriting system, but that’s very limited so expect to see that little toolbox a lot
the export feature is clunky. most apps let you export from the file menu but you have to save your work, quit, retreat to the general app management area and export from there. there is a method of exporting in the file itself, but it only lets you set up these little postable scenes. it’s cute, but this isn’t intuitive. also, and this is a real nitpick, a lot of the pre-rendered scenes offered hide the very bottom of the canvas, where your signature traditionally goes
my general thoughts are that this is a cool, interesting piece of kit! it feels a little too janky to use consistently, especially if you need a quick and easy user experience for commissions or the like, but it’s the best at what it sets out to do. certainly ‘limited’, but i wouldn’t count that as a flaw, it isn’t like you can slap a multiply layer over a real charcoal drawing and call it done. i’d argue that if you want to improve, and you want to improve very quickly at that, you’re going to struggle to find a better digital medium to work in. you won’t be tempted to use shortcuts because they’ve been slapped out of your hands. you can’t liquify tool your way out of this one, me. i’m looking forward to sharing more studies and, when i think i’ve got a half-decent handle on it, lavishly painted sad old men
#rochedotpng#fun and interesting program! i've been having a great time with it#overall a mixed bag but what's in that bag is very very impressive

Magical Journaling
When we think of a witch’s tools, we usually think of cauldrons, brooms, and jars filled with herbs. But for modern witches, one of the most powerful tools available is a blank journal. The journal can be an altar, a workspace, a diary, and a grimoire all in one.
Creating a Magical Journaling Practice
One of the benefits of this type of magic is that it doesn’t require a lot of tools and materials. However, there are a few things you may choose to include:
A journal, notebook, or binder. Having a physical journal for your magical practice can help to ground your magic into the physical world. Find a journal or notebook that speaks to you — this could be a composition book from the dollar store, or an elaborate leather bound journal. I highly recommend using a physical book, but if you are unable to keep a physical journal dedicated to your witchcraft, you can absolutely keep one in a Google Doc, a Microsoft Word document, or the Notes app on your phone.
Colored pens, pencils, or markers. These are a great way to include the magic of color in your journal. (See this post for info on magical color correspondences.) Writing your spells in a color that matches your intention can add an extra layer of power.
Stickers, photos, and drawings. This adds a visual component to your written spells. Just like you add things to a physical ritual based on their magical correspondences, you can use images of those things to add energy to journal spells.
A Daily Intention-Setting Ritual
This method of magical journaling is based on an exercise from Lisa Marie Basile’s book, The Magical Writing Grimoire.
In the morning, before you start your day, write your intention for the day ahead. This should be written in the present tense, and phrased in the positive — it’s about what you are doing, not what you’re stopping or trying to quit. Your intention can be anything, mental, emotional, or physical. (For example: “I am opening myself to love in all its many forms.”)
In the evening, before you go to bed, write down what you worked on that day. This can be anything you did that you feel nourished you, and it may or may not be related to your intention from the morning. (For example: “I used mindfulness meditation to become aware of my own vastness.”)
Living with intention makes you more aware of your actions and can be a form of magic in itself. You daily intentions can become positive affirmations that you can repeat throughout your day, drawing strength from the words.
Using a Journal to Cast Spells
You can cast spells on the page of your journal, with nothing more than a pen and paper.
There are four basic parts to every spell: your will, your intention, focused energy, and a ritual action. All of these components can be brought into a journaling session. Your will is your personal magical and spiritual authority — you use your will simply by being aware of it. Your intention is a clear statement of what you want to get out of your spell — in journal magic, this is typically written on the page. By directing your attention to what you are writing, you are focusing your energy. And finally, a ritual action is any act performed in a ritualistic manner — in this case, that act is writing.
When casting a journal spell, it’s best to do your work in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. You might choose to light a candle or burn incense to help set a spiritual/magical mood, or you might not. I recommend meditating on your intention for a few moments before you begin, in order to help focus your energy.
What you actually write is up to you. It could be a simple, straightforward statement of intention, a detailed description of what you want, or even a poem. Feel free to experiment with different methods to see what feels right for you.
Journaling with Sigils and Runes
You can incorporate sigils, runes, and other sacred symbols into your journal, or use them as spells by themselves.
I’ve talked a little bit about runes in a previous post, but here’s a quick refresher: “runes” typically refer to the symbols used in Germanic alphabets before they were replaced by the Latin alphabet. The oldest Germanic rune system, and the one most widely used in magic, is the Elder Futhark. Other Germanic runic alphabets include the Younger Futhark and the Anglo-Saxon runes, which are both descended from the Elder Futhark. There are other alphabets that are used for similar purposes in magic, like the Irish Ogham. The use of these symbols in magic comes from the ancient idea that writing is inherently magical. Both the Germanic runes and the Ogham alphabet were believed to be sacred by the people who originally used them. Because of this, the runes aren’t merely letters — each symbol has a set of spiritual meanings associated with it as well.
The nice thing about runes is that, for the most part, we have a good idea of what they meant — so learning the runes can be as simple as purchasing a book and memorizing meanings. They’re also tied to ancient belief systems, which makes them a potent source of magical power.
You can use the runes in your magical journal in a couple of different ways. You can draw the appropriate runes in the borders around your spell, or write them over your spell in a different colored ink to add their power to your words. You can also use the runes alone as a form of magic. For this, speak or chant the name of the rune as you write it, and then spend a few moment focusing on it, visualizing your goal, and charging the rune with your intent.
Sigils are a little bit different. Unlike runes, sigils are created on the spot, so the meaning of a sigil is usually only known to the person who designed it. This means that, rather than learning established meanings, you’re creating a new magical symbol with a unique meaning every time you draw a new sigil. Because of this, sigils are directly linked to your will, which makes them powerful conductors of magic.
Here’s a common method for designing a sigil: Write a word or phrase that represents your goal or desire. Cross out all the vowels and/or all repeating letters. Now, use the remaining letters (the ones that haven’t been marked out) to create a design, adding artistic flourishes as you see fit. It’s okay to get creative with this, and it’s okay if the shape of the letters isn’t obvious in the final sigil. For example: if I wanted to create a sigil to manifest wealth, I might start with the phrase “I have more money than I know what to do with.” I then cross out all vowels and repeating letters, leaving me with, “v r y k w d.” Using the shape of these letters as a starting point, I create an artistic design that carries the intention of the original statement.
Sigils are usually used on their own to conduct magic. Draw the sigil in a color that matches your intention (for my wealth sigil, I would use green). As you draw, focus on your intent and feel your energy moving through the pen, charging the sigil. You can leave the finished sigil in your journal, tear the page out and place it on your altar, or display it somewhere you’ll see it often.
Sigils are especially useful for witches who need to keep their practice a secret, because they can be disguised as simple doodles.

I used to want to be an artist but then i stopped drawing for like 7 years. I want to go back but i'm scared and dont know where to start. So yes, i am interested in those drawing videos can you post them if you dont mind? ^_^
Of course!! I am in the same situation as you actually. I used to draw a lot in middle school (2010-2012) but my depression worsened during high school and in college, I’d only draw as a distraction, never seeking to study or improve. I decided to get back this year, since I decided drawing was the only thing I could see myself doing professionally. I felt very lost, because how do you get back? How do you know what’s your actual, current, art skill? What are your weaknesses? Your strong points?
That’s how I learned to study the fundmentals of art. Because visual art is not a skill. It is a set of skills, if you are very good at anatomy but not really when coming to painting your art is going to look differently than someone who learned anatomy in how to draw manga books but paint like a pro. I am going to divide this post in categories, Also, all the videos I link I also recommend all the channels they are from! My favorites are The Drawing Database, Sycra and Ganev, Sycra and The Drawing Databse have a little of everything and are great at explaining. Ganev is a bit sarcastic but I like the way he teaches. I took some parts of the text of this post from here.
How do I begin? How do you even get back at art? What tips should you use? These are general tips videos, usually nice to draw along. /the fundmentals and how to get started/ /5 tips for better drawing/ /perfect pratice/ /beginner’s guide/ /5 tips for digital art/ /10 tips to improve/ /why your drawings are stiff/ /what level is your art/ /improve your art fast/ /drawing basics/ /how to hold and control your pencil/ /intuitive drawing method/ /iterative drawing/
The Fundamentals: Proportion & Placement Proportion is relationship between one element and another. In the visual arts proportion relates most importantly to the abstract quality of scale and placement. You know how stereotypically an artists puts a pencil to their eye when looking at an object? They’re mesuring the proportion of the object in question and how to represent it corectly in the drawing. /principles of proportion/ /ways to create illusion of space/ /drawing the human figure/ /how to draw proportions playlist/ /how to use proportion in character design/ /basic anatomy and proportions part one/ /part two/ /part three/ /part four/ /proportion basics/
Form & Construction The idea of form is how we see the 3D objects in or world and transform them into 2D in the paper/canvas. It’s understading that eveyrthing is made up of basic forms. /dynamic sketching part one/ /part two/ /how to draw forms/ /structure/ /building form/ /another how to draw forms/ /how to visualize 3D forms/ /form study process/
Perspective & Depth Perspective is knowing that as things move away from the viewer’s eye, things seem to get smaller. Get familiarized with terms like horizon line and vanishing point. This is the basic that must be understood to learn perspective. Here’s a good article about this. /an intro video on the subject/ /step by step tutorial/ /perspective basics part one/ /part two/ /part three/ /part four/ part five /part six/ /another basics video/ /20 perspective lessons/ /eye level tip/ /linear perspective/ /simple form perspective/ /drawing the figure in perspective/
Anatomy Anatomy is something I think it’s one the most crucials things to learn in order to make your drawing look good. Once you understand how joints work you’ll be able to see how bones and muscles move. And this goes for anything with a skeleton. It’s one of those things of you learn the rules before breaking them. I am linking different playlists, since linking different videos on various parts of anatomy would take forever. Just study a body part at time: head, eyes, nose, lips, ears, shoulders, neck, hairline, breats, torso, hands, feet etc. /how to do an anatomy tracing/ /playlist 1 / /draw the head from any angle/ /anatomy for artists/ /draw facial features/ /how to draw and paint/ /playlist 2/ /draw 3/4 head with loomis method/ /playlist 3/ /drawing a head in 3 hours (this one is great to draw along with the artist)/ /how to draw a body/ draw a head with loomis method part 1/ /part 2/ /part 3/ /decipgering bridgman’s anatomy/ /anatomy quick tips/
Gesture Gesture drawing is a method of capturing figures in exaggerated poses, usually drawn quickly. It is important to undersand that the goal of all gesture is to study the figure and see how it moves. I like looking at poses and copying them. Here’s a good article. /how to draw gesture/ /how to draw any pose/ /draw interesting poses/ /a guide on gesture drawing/ /tips for expressive dynamic poses/ /figure drawing tips/
Composition The overall layout of a piece is very important. Artists often consider things like the rule of thirds or the infamous golden ratio. Neither truly defines a composition, but they can both go into your decision making. /composition in art/ /understanding composition/ /10 composition tips/ /beginner’s guide to composition/ /art fundamental: composition/
Value Studying value is very much the study of light and shadow. But there is a technical side of light that you’ll want to pay attention to if you’re going for technical rendering. /guide on rendering/ /seeing light and shadows in daily life/ /10 minutes to a better painting/ /understaing colors and values/ /shading basics/ /ambient occlusion/ /shadow colors/ /tips on how to shade/ /draw shadows on objects and people/ /lighting tutorial/
Color Theory Color theory is understanding which colors go good with eachother, and knowing the pyschology behind it. (what are cool colors? what colors make someone feel comfortable?) It is fundamental in art for you to understand the relationship between colors and what makes them look good. Best color theory books. A comprehensive guide to color theory. /hue value saturation in photoshop/ /color theory for noobs/ /understanding color/ /what you should know about colors/ /warm and cool colors/ /the basic elements/ /choose colors that work/
Traditional Media If you draw in traditional media, all videos above can be used easily. These are just videos for general tips in traditional media, there isn’t many since my focus is digtal ^^’ /watercolor tips/ /draw with colored pencils/ /blending colored pencils/ /4 how to draw lessons/ /Block in colors/ /holding the brush/ /
Digital Media Digital art is how everyone’s been doing art these days. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing with your phone or your computer. I don’t do art on my phone, I know the most used app is mediabang for android and procreate for apple, and I think anyone who is able to do art with their finger is very skilled. If you are like me and prefer doing art on your computer, you probably have your tablet. If not, well you should have. Not having a tablet is not an option if you want to get better at art ^^’ Best tablet for beginners in 2020. Or you can just buy an old used one, if it still works, and you are a beginner, a small intuos is all you need. When talking about softwares, the three big ones I see people using are: Photoshop, Clip Paint Studio and Paint Tool Sai. The best one is CPS, but I find Sai easier to navigate, but CPS is extremely complete and I hope to be able to master it someday. CPS Tutorials. I don’t have much to say about photoshop, people use it mostly because they’ve been using it forever lol I divide my digital painting process in steps: Sketch/Lineart/Color Blocking/Shading/Blending/Color correction. Sketch is the basics, draw your idea. Lineart is to clean your sketch. Color Blocking is to color your drawing one color, so it’s easier to work in it. Shading is to understand where the lighting sources are coming from and apply them. Blending is to blend the colors of your drawing with brushes. Color correction is when I use filters of hue/saturation and others to make the drawing more appealing. These require understadings of the software of your choice which I am not very good at the moment so I can’t give you more tips than that ^^’ Hopefully these videos can help. /perspective grid/ /clean line art/ /coloring process/ /make lineart interesting/ /best brushes for digital painting/ /skin shading tutorial/ /lineart vs painting/ /art in clip studio paint/ /hair tutorial/ /3 tips for improving/ /10 digital art mistakes/ /color block tutorial/ /shading skin/ /from lineart to painting/ /cleaner lineart/ /add texture to your art/ /improve your art with better shadows/ /the importance of brushes/ /use layer modes/ /improve your lines/ /how to blend colors/ /another blending tutorial/ /color blocking/
Exercises It’s no secret that to improve on art, you must pratice. Everyday, even if it’s just a little! A great way to pratice is make use of youtube picture in picture function to draw along in your software of choice. /pratice drawing forms/ /proportion exercises/ /perspective exercises/ /value studies/ /creative drawing exercises/ /simple drawing esercises/
Resources Senshi stocks, a deviantart page full of poses photos. Quick poses, pictures of models, contains nudes. Character design references DesignDoll, create a personalized sketch doll and make it pose.
Phew!!! This took forever to make and is way more than you asked for, but I decided to go all in so I can have a masterpost for me too and for anyone else interested in art. As soon you can understand the fundamentals, you can do your own research and study, youtube is really great for this. I hope this helps, let’s get better at drawing together!!! Ganbarimashou (ง •̀_•́)ง
#anon#askbox#I feel there's a lot more to add but I'm tired I've been working on this sicne yesterday ^^'#Like there's more softwares and resources I could link you I know of that#So when I think of something else I may add to this psot#post#if you feel overwhelmed because this is a lot of info you can start with the beginner section of this psot#and sycra's channel

A/N: Based on a, I guess you can call it a daydream I had this morning... but when writing this I didn’t use a certain name, so it can be fore anyone, you can imagine whoever you want with this.
Also, this was my piece after not writing for 3 weeks, so I hope I didn’t disappoint.
Warnings: Teasing, slight clit stimulation, her wetness leaking onto the couch, he calls her a naughty girl, cum play?, she begs for him to touch her, messy?, fingering, unprotected sex (This is fiction, please make sure to be safe), he releases inside her, aftercare mention.
W/C: 2 887
Sitting on the couch scrolling through her phone, in such a manner, her legs were spread and the only thing she wore was a t-shirt and a pair of thin panties.
He wasn’t expecting that when he entered the sitting area and saw the sight, he couldn’t help but let out a groan as he could only imagine how it would have looked if she was sitting there without a pair covering her heat.
She hadn’t noticed or heard him, too engrossed with whatever was on her screen, he makes his way to the couch and placed a hand on her knee, getting her attention.
She looks past her screen and softly smiles at him, not realizing what was about to happen, what she was doing to him with the position she was sitting in, he could feel his cock twitching as it hardens
What was she thinking when she sat down? Gosh, his eyes move over her, the t-shirt she wore was his, and he could see that she decided to go braless.
“Are you enjoying yourself?” He asks, his voice barely even as he spoke, he was trying to focus on her and not on her heat, that was being covered with a thin layer of panties “What’s got your attention?”
She exits the app she had open and locks her phone, putting it down on her cover stomach, she wasn’t about to tell him what she had been actually doing, but he could have guessed and guessed correctly, judging from the wet patch forming on her panties, she was either reading something explicit or watching something, and seeing as she didn’t have any earbuds in, he would go with reading.
“Nothing, just found something interesting while I was waiting for you.” She says, an innocent smile on her lips, but her eyes held something else, they were clouded with lust, her lips swollen as she licked and bit them during the story she had read, he nods his head, licking his lips.
“And you don’t wish to share that something with me?” He asks, his hand begins trailing to the inside of her thigh, rubbing soft circles there.
“Not really, I don’t think that you will find it interesting.” She says, he sinks down to his knees beside the couch, his hand moving lower and closer to her soaking heat, her eyes visibly widen for a few seconds before she recovers, hoping he didn’t see, but he did, which only confirmed what she had been doing.
“Are you sure?” He asks, his voice becoming deep as he spoke, his eyes visibly darkening with lust as he stares at her. “Because I think differently, I think I would find it very interesting.” Her tongue darts out past her lips, licking them, his hand inching closer to her soaking heat, the wet patch had grown since he approached her. “Should I guess the genre?”
“I could have been watching something,” she whispers, audio and video’s were out of the question, but if she had been looking at gifs, she would have locked her phone faster, that he knew all too well about her.
“But you weren’t, you were reading.” He says. “I know how you react when you’re reading or watching something.” His hand trails over her heat, cupping her happening panties, feeling the wet patch had spread. “Was it at least good?” She could feel his fingers ghostly stroking over her pussy lips through her panty. “The smut you were reading.” Her lips part, she had been caught. “Did you enjoy it?”
“I.. um, uh.” She stuttered, trying to form words, sentences in her mind to answer him, but to no avail, how was she supposed to answer him.
“Read it to me, maybe then I will know what I’m doing wrong.” He says. “Then I can do it correctly, and you won’t have to resort to reading about it and fantasising about it.” She swallows, suddenly feeling thirsty. “Isn’t that why you read it?” She shakes her head, rapidly.
“No, no.” She quickly spits out. “No, that’s not… that’s not it, not why.” He cocks his head to the side, a finger pushing her panties between her soaking folds, she takes her bottom lip between her teeth, feeling the rough fabric rubbing against her swollen clit.
“Then why do you read it?” He asks. “Am I not enough?” That definitely wasn’t the case, he was more than enough, but for the days when she didn’t want to disturb him when he was busy she retorted to reading about it, and just earlier he had been focusing on something on his computer screen, and she didn’t want to bother him in case it was important.
“No, that’s not it, not why....” She whimpers out, feeling him rub her needy swollen clit through her panties. “I didn’t w— oh oh my…” She breathes out, wanting to throw her head back and close her eyes. “Didn’t want to bother you, oh my… oh gosh.” Just feeling him teasing her clit was drying her insane, she had become so wet from the story she had read, she was sure that he didn’t need to toy with her like this, he could easily just slip in.
“You didn’t want to bother me, so you decided to read about it… does it satisfy you?” He asks, he pulls his finger away from her swollen clit, making her whimper at the loss of contact. “Did it make you have an orgasm or did it just make you this wet?” His words caused something to stir in her abdomen, something to build, she could feel her skin heating up.
“No, no, I didn’t… it doesn’t, not the way you do.” Her voice sounded so needy, so begging as she spoke. “It didn’t make me…” He pushes the t-shirt she wore upward, exposing her lower tummy, his finger wrap around the thin fabric of her panties and pulled at it, pulling it away from her pussy, the fabric that had been between her lips grazed her clit a final time, causing her to softly moan as it was removed.
“Your panties are soaked.” He says watching as they reach her ankles, his gaze moves to her heat. “Look how soaked you are.” Her muscles twitch underneath his gaze. “Maybe you should read it to me, let me hear the words that made you this soaked.” She grips her phone, thinking about it for a second before moving it away from her tummy, she placed it on the small table near the couch, his eyes follow her movements. “Tsk.” He clicks his tongue, he lifts one of her feet and pulls the panty over her foot before lifting the other one and removes the panties completely. “I was looking forward to the story.”
“Make your own.” She breathes out, he placed the thin fabric on the table next to her phone before looking at her.
“Make my own?” He questions. “How will I ever know if mine was as good as the one you were reading?” He took hold of her ankle and pulled it off from the couch. “I want you spread.” She shifts on the couch, slightly turning towards him, her legs spreading wider, his eyes fall to her sopping heat, he closed his eyes at the sight, the mess her wetness was creating on the couch as it leaked from her. “It must have been good if you’re making a mess on the couch.” She could feel her cheeks heating up, his hand slides up her leg to her heat as his eyes open, his fingers scoops up her wetness. “Oh.” He spreads her folds with his fingers and smears her wetness over her heat, brushing his fingers over her clit, drawing a moan from her. “Oh, you naughty girl.” His fingers slide along her folds, avoiding the spot where she wanted it the most.
“Please.” She breathes out, sweat starting to coat her skin. “Please, please, touch me, please.” He moves his fingers towards her clit, but stops before touching the sensitive nub, he looks up at her, a teasing smirk on his lips.
“Why should I give you what you want?” He asks. “You didn’t want to read the story to me, so why should I listen to you?” She could feel her blood rushing through her veins, her muscles twitching, his dark lust-filled eyes staring at her.
“Please, I’ll read it to you another time, but please touch me.” she pleaded, she had been aching for his touch for hours. “Please.” Needing him for hours, and now that he wasn’t working or focusing on anything else he wanted to tease her, any other day it would have been okay, but today, today she needed him to either touch her or bury himself deep inside her wanting entrance. “Either touch me, or fuck me, or…” She trails off, stopping before she could finish the sentence, he moves closer to her, moving to his feet to hover above her.
“Or what?” He asks, his voice dangerously low. “Go ahead, finish what you were about to say.” He challenged, she takes in a shaky breath, licking her lips.
“Or get lost, so I can use my hands.” She whispers, her eyes not leaving him, he would never dare leave her and let her touch herself.
“Oh, are you going to satisfy yourself?” He asks. “If you could, why did you read in the first place when you could have just used your own hand?” He takes hold of her hand, guiding it between her legs, he pressed her hand against her soaking heat. “Go ahead, satisfy yourself, I’ll watch.” He moves away from her, releasing her hand, her face falls.
“Wait!” She quickly says, he freezes in place. “Please don’t… you know I’ll never be able to…” He leans lower, his lips come in contact with her abdomen. “Please… please, touch me.” He moves lower, taking hold of her hand that was still against her soaking heat, he brought it to his face.
“Since you ask so nicely my naughty girl.” He says, he stares at her glistening hand covered in her own wetness. “But you have to promise me that you will read it to me… tonight.” He looks past her hand and at her, she nods her head.
“I will, tonight.” She says. “I promise.” He nods his head, moving her soaked hand closer to his face, he takes one of her fingers into his mouth, swirling his tongue around it before pulling it out of his mouth.
“Hm, delicious.” He placed her hand on her lower exposed tummy, causing her wetness to stick to her skin. “I’ll take your word for it then.” He placed his hand over her heat, a soft whimper escapes from her lips, he uses his fingers to spread her folds, slipping his middle finger in, sliding it over her swollen clit, the slightest touch to the sensitive swollen nub felt euphoric, her lips part at his touch. “Look at you, look at how you’re responding, you’re so damn sensitive.” His fingers move away from her folds and slip down to her soaking entrance, his fingers were coated with her wetness within seconds. “I bet I can just slip into you without needing to touch you like this.”
“Mh— oh.” She whimpers out, agreeing with him, he could, but he would rather be sure that she was ready before attempting to slide his length into her soaked walls.
“Let’s go with two…” He mutters to himself before slipping two fingers inside her, he moves them around, twisting and turning them before pulling them out and adding a third. “You’re so fucking soaked, fuck.” Foreplay was unneeded at that moment, but just to be sure she was ready, to be sure he wouldn’t hurt her, he stretched her walls using his fingers, using a scissoring motion as he turns his fingers inside her.
“FUCK OH MY—“ She gasps out feeling his fingers rubbing against her walls, he looks up at her face, her eyes were squeezed shut, her lips were parted, her chest moving up and down as she gasped each time he twisted and turned his fingers inside her, he moves his gaze back down to her heat, watching as his fingers dip in and out of her.
He pulls his fingers from her, a whimper leaving her lips at the loss of contact, he stood up and discarded his shirt and his pants along with his underwear, she lifts her head, looking at him as he got rid of his clothes, she pushes herself into a sitting position, only for him to stop her halfway, he grabs the hem of her shirt and pulls it up, she lifts her arms, and he removes the shirt, tossing it onto the ground.
“Do you want me to suck you?” She asks, even though he had pushed her to lay back down, his hand wraps around his length, spreading the clear liquid leaking from the head of his hard cock over his length, pumping himself and making sure his cock was lubed up, he moves to the couch, moving onto his knees on it.
“Later, definitely later my naughty girl.” He says, he moves the head of his cock through her folds, collecting her wetness onto himself, moving it over her clit several times.
“Oh, oh, fuck, oh, please... oh my.” She breathes out, he moves himself to her soaking entrance and slowly slipped the head inside her, her eyes fall close and her lips part as she felt him stretch her, he unwraps his hand from his length and placed his hand on her hips, moving his hands until he had a proper grip on her, he lifts her hips, his cock sliding into her, stretching her walls. "Oh oh gosh, oh my fucking hell!” The feeling of him filling and stretching her felt blissful, once his length and size was completely inside her, he comes to a halt, giving her a few moments to adjust.
“Fuck, you’re so fucking soaked.” He mutters. “You take me so fucking well.” He pulls his hips back, slipping out until just the head remained inside her before rolling his hips back with a fast pace. “You feel so fucking good, You should have fucking interrupted me earlier.” His fingers grip her hips as he rolls his hips into her, his length brushing against her walls, the sound of her wetness filled the room each time he snapped his hips into her.
The room felt warm as sweat formed on them, their grunts filling the sitting room, she could feel her skin beginning to stick to the couch, he lowers her hips as he lowers himself over her, their skin feeling sticky and slippery, his cock continued to fill her with each snap of his hips, and with each snap, she could feel the tension building in her lower abdomen as she edged closer to her release, his lips brush over her shoulders, licking and nibbling at the skin while groaning into her ear.
“You feel so damn good, why didn’t you come and disturb me?” He mumbles next to her ear. “Next time you should, fuck you’re doing that thing, keeping clenching around me.” Her walls clamp down around him at his words, he moves one hand between them and pressed his fingers against her clit. “Come on, go to that place, reach your high for me, cum around my cock.” Her clit twitched at his words, his fingers rub the sensitive nub, edging her closer and closer. “Cum for me, make a mess on the couch.” His lips were now brushing against her earlobe. "Fall apart beneath me."
“Go— fuck, oh my fuck.” She breathes out, she felt his cock twitching inside her, her muscles contracted, her mind fell blank as the euphoric pleasure washed over her, she wrapped her arms around him, her nails gripping his shoulder blades as she releases around his cock, the feeling of her wet warm walls clamping around him and her fingers digging into his skin sent him over the edge his thrusts became irregular before sinking deep into her and releasing, the energy drained from him as he released himself inside, the sound of their breathing filled the room as they laid on the couch.
It took a few moments for him to regain his strength, to push himself upwards before slowly slipping himself out of her, the mixture of their release flooded out of her, leaking onto the couch, he sits on the other end of the couch, his eyes falling to her entrance, licking his lips before his eyes move up to her face.
“Fuck…” He mutters, he stood from the couch and moves closer to her, he pulls her into a sitting position, making more of a mess on the couch, he pulls her onto her feet before pulling her into his arms, their sticky naked bodies touching each other. “Do you have enough energy to wrap your legs around me?” She hums into his shoulder, her arms wrap around his neck, using every bit of energy and strength to jump and wrap her legs around his torso. “Let’s get you cleaned up and then the couch.”

Worth a Thousand Words
Summary: “Steve Rogers, every inch of his All-American glory, was looking at her expectantly with that same boyishly mischievous expression he had been sporting the few times she had seen him up close. One that really shouldn't blend in so easily with the rest of him but was an integral part of his persona, or at least that's what she gathered from the bits and pieces of conversations about him she'd been subjected to hearing.
Because that was definitely what she had predicted, and definitely made all the sense in the world.”
AKA Steve has never talked to the woman that sits in the front row of his lecture hall twice a week but that doesn't stop his hopeless crush on her.
Pairing: Steve Rogers/Reader
Word Count: 3,159
She was being watched.
She had absolutely no proof other than a gut feeling, but the sensation of eyes on the back of her head burnt with a heat strong enough to brand her, and more than once has the skin of her arms and neck prickled uncomfortably with goosebumps despite the surprisingly warm temperatures of late fall.
It made her feel silly, really, and more than a little narcissistic, to think that anyone would invest time in watching her. She couldn't even write it off as the uncomfortable leering that she had been victim to on a couple of occasions she had gone off-campus at night.
No, it was the most random of times, in the most obscure places, always busy enough that she could never pin down the source of her unusual company when she chanced a scan of the area.
It's a Thursday night, and after three weeks of enduring this cat and mouse game she's found herself in, she's strongly considering just going up to each person in the common room when she feels the sensation tickle its way down the nape of her neck again.
Before she got the chance to weigh all the pros and cons of embarrassing herself, the cat made itself known.
By sitting right across from her at the otherwise empty table.
Startled by the sudden presence in front of her, her eyes snap up from the book they'd been buried in, the hand which had been steadily dictating her notes pausing in the middle of a line as her train of thought came to an abrupt stop.
Sharing her space with unfamiliar company was not an uncommon occurrence, for her or any of the other people that frequented the open areas available to students at all hours of the day, but at a little past 11 P.M., there were few people spread out across the expansive room, and even fewer reasons for anyone to sit so close.
She found herself being thankful for carpeted floors as the man abruptly pulled the chair out, spinning it around and sliding forward to straddle it all in one movement, draping his crossed arms across the back with a practiced sort of elegance that did not quite match the situation or his size.
And his size was, frankly, quite hard to ignore.
Her immediate response was to be intimidated by the broad expanse of solid chest and wide shoulders that made the chair look almost uncomfortably small as the muscles in his arms strained under the stretched material of his shirt—really it was almost another layer of skin, as tight as it was—to prop his chin on an open palm.
But then she met his eyes and—
Oh, she thought dumbly.
Steve Rogers, every inch of his All-American glory, was looking at her expectantly with that same boyishly mischievous expression he had been sporting the few times she had seen him up close. One that really shouldn't blend in so easily with the rest of him but was an integral part of his persona, or at least that's what she gathered from the bits and pieces of conversations about him she'd been subjected to hearing.
Because that was definitely what she had predicted, and definitely made all the sense in the world.
With the way his smirk grew, she had a feeling he was perfectly aware of the confusion he was causing in her.
Perfectly justified confusion, she reminds herself before any misplaced guilt can creep up on her, considering they had never interacted properly.
In fact, as she tried racking her brain for any reason he would have for approaching her, she came up with exactly zero. Possibly one, if he was trying to bum notes off of her for the lecture they shared two days a week.
Not that he made a habit of doing that to people, as far as she knew anyway, but she wouldn't put it past him to use his charm and prestige for his own benefit.
As unfair as she knew it was to him, her expectations of the widely popular were subpar at best, and considering his reputation stretched far enough that even she recognized him, he certainly fit into that category.
Seemingly satisfied that he had her full attention, he reached out the hand that he had been leaning on, smirk stretching out into a full smile, laugh lines pulling on his cheeks matching the soft crinkles in the corners of his eyes.
He really is handsome. It's almost unfair.
"(Y/N), right?" He said by way of greeting, breaking the near silence of the room with ringing clarity even with the low level of his voice.
The fact that he knew who she was added a fresh layer of bewilderment to the mix, and she couldn’t even begin to sort through the possible implications of him possessing that information.
Looking between his hand and his face, she placed her pen down and took it in her own, just a moment shy of an awkward pause before nodding.
His grip on her hand was confident but gentle, shaking it once before letting her retract it back into the safety of her lap, leaning on the top of his chair with crossed arms once again.
"I'm Steve, it's nice to meet you."
Of course, she already knows that, but isn't sure if admitting it would be awkward or a boost to his ego, and since neither one really sounded like a good option, so she opted for another weak nod of acknowledgment and a half-smile.
If her lack of response was odd to him, he did a good job of hiding it, face still as open and unfaltering as the moment he sat down.
"So, I admit, this is...odd. I'm sorry for disturbing your study session, I just haven't had a good chance to talk to you before or after class and I saw you while I was cutting through on my way to my friend's dorm so..." he trailed off with a soft huff of a laugh, eyebrows faintly pinching together with the slight tilt of his head.
He wanted to talk to me? She repeated to herself. He doesn't seem angry, so I probably didn't upset him unintentionally. Not that I would have had a chance to, I don't think I've ever even sat by him before.
There was a long string of questions that she'd like to unload on him but with the way his smile was starting to falter she decided to put them both out of their misery and settle for one to start.
Flipping the notebook laid out in front of her to a blank page she wrote as quickly as she dared, aiming for both speed and legibility, knowing from experience that her nerves can reduce her handwriting to chicken scratch if she wasn't careful.
Are you the person who has been following me?
She lifted the note for him to see, watching his eyes flick across the line before his eyebrows shot towards his hairline, wide eyes meeting hers as his hands rose to wave almost frantically in front of him.
"No!" He exclaimed, the sudden volume of his voice drawing a wince from the both of them as she glanced at the only two other students in the room, who had both paused to look over at their table.
Steve's head dipped in an apologetic nod in their direction before turning his attention back to her.
"No, I wasn't following you," he started, voice much quieter but not lacking any of the conviction of his initial outburst. "I promise, I really haven't been, I just—we have a class together, and we live in the same building. The campus is only so big, so I, uh, I see you around sometimes," he rubbed at the back of his neck, eyes dropping from hers briefly in a moment of sheepishness that was a stark difference from his usual self-assured bravado.
"Honestly I didn't think you would have noticed, and I'm really sorry, but my friends, they uh—" he continued on, his words beginning to come out in a rush of air— "when I mentioned wanting to talk to you they took it upon themselves to tell me if they saw you around. Trying to help me find an opportunity I guess. I would have made them stop sooner if I had known it was making you uncomfortable," he reassured quickly, taking note of her baffled expression.
All she could do was stare, eyes flittering around his face in an attempt to find a tell that he was lying. When she found none, she was honestly relieved, not just because he didn't seem to have any malicious intent, but also because she now had confirmation that she wasn't crazy.
Now that I know I'm not just paranoid, what is it you needed to talk to me about?
She flipped the notebook around once again, watching as he hesitantly turned his attention to it, his fear of a negative reaction clear as day across his face. It was endearing, really.
"I just wanted to—actually, if you don't mind me asking first, why are you writing your responses? I feel like I need to get my own pen out, breaking the quiet all on my own."
The question wasn't an unexpected one and she was frankly surprised it had taken him as long as it did to ask. That didn't stop the uncomfortable pang in her chest that usually came with that line of questioning. While it wasn’t necessarily uncommon for her to use a pen and paper to communicate, the select group of people that wanted to converse with her had more efficient ways.
I can’t speak. Most people don't know ASL, and I thought a text-to-speech app might be too awkward if you weren’t expecting it. Sorry.
And she was, really. While she knew it wasn't her fault, she also knew how tedious a transition process it could be for someone who had never held a conversation with her before to adjust to the pacing. Some people just weren't patient enough, or it made them feel awkward.
He read the note, and then reread it, and then read it once again. He gently worried at his bottom lip, releasing it as he opened his mouth, only to shut it once again as his lips pinched together.
He seemed to finally decide on what to say, straightening his shoulders a bit and clasping his hands together.
"So, you're...mute? Is that the correct term to use?" He asked , articulating his question slowly while watching her face.
She found the corners of her lips quirking up at his concern of possibly offending her. That alone was already more than she got out of similar exchanges.
I personally don’t mind it much, but it’s normally frowned upon. Non-speaking is your best bet.
She slid over the notebook, trying to gauge his reaction for a hint of how the rest of this conversation is going to go, if he didn’t simply excuse himself to avoid a situation that he most definitely did not predict or ask for.
And then felt like she would have tipped straight over from the way he beamed at her, if not for already being securely supported in her seat.
There has to be something wrong with him, she found herself thinking.
"Okay. I’m glad I didn’t offend you, thank you for telling me. I honestly don't know much about what to do to make this easier for you—" was he pouting now?— "would yes or no questions be better? I don't want to make you write a lot if you don't want to. Or...would you like me to leave?" By the time he reaches the end of his ramble, his nerves had obviously caught up to his mouth, head dipping and jerking his thumb in the general direction of the door leading to the outdoor walkway.
If anyone else had asked her that, she would have assumed it was asked as a chance for an out, a polite way to say, "I think it would be best if I left, are you going to let me?" But with the way he prefaced it so naturally with eager attempts at maintaining and extending their time together in a way that benefits her, she couldn’t find it in herself to immediately presume the worst.
In fact, the entire situation was so absolutely bizarre and random and Steve is staring at her with this disarmingly charming expression looking like he is about five seconds away from bolting for the door, and she just can’t help it.
She laughs.
~~~~~
She’s laughing.
Or at least that’s what he’s assuming, with the way her head tips back and the warm flush across the bridge of her nose spreads to her cheeks as she smiles. They’ve been in the same lecture and dorm for months and he’s not sure if he’s ever seen her face light up quite like that.
The sounds that push their way past her lips are short and clipped, raspy in a way that suggests disuse but warm enough to be melodic despite their discordant nature.
Just as suddenly as she started, she stops. Slapping a hand over her mouth, she snaps her head back down to look at him with wide eyes before quickly checking across the room where the last students had been sitting previously, shoulders slumping with obvious relief to find the seats empty.
For a moment he truly feels ashamed, because as wary as she seemed to be about the sound, he’s already dying to hear it again.
The hand that had been resting over her mouth moved to her brows, tilting down enough to hide her eyes from his view but not the harsh scarlett that was crawling across her visible skin, from the tips of her ears to the base of her throat. If he wasn’t feeling ashamed before, he certainly is when he has to cut off the burst of curiosity that cuts across his mind wondering how far the flush could go.
Shaking his head like it will physically remove the risqué thought, he reaches one hand forward to softly tap the table near her notebook.
“You okay under there? I’m not quite sure what I said, but there’s no one else in here but you and me.”
He feels like he’s done something very wrong and he’s not even sure where to begin to backtrack as he combs over his last statement.
She thinks you’re an idiot, you probably managed to offend her.
He really, really hopes that isn’t the case though, because he’s been trying to build up the courage to talk to her properly for months and while he’s become a bit better about socializing since he got back from the army, he’s still absolutely hopeless with women, something that Bucky likes to remind him of frequently.
The second Natasha found out why her attempts at getting him to go on blind dates were being shut down so quickly, she was absolutely ruthless in her ribbing, as harmless as it may have been.
Before he can fully consider standing to leave, she’s dropping her hand to her pen, meeting his eyes with a slight pull at the corner of her lips before leaning down to write.
Waiting for her to finish writing is the most nerve-wracking thing he can remember going through in recent memory, and the soft thump of his heel against the carpet is almost as fast as his heartbeat by the time the action even registers and he forces his leg to still.
Coming to a stop almost halfway down the page, her pen rests against the paper for a beat before she hastily caps it with a firm nod and pushes the notebook onto his half of the table.
This might be the most thorough rejection I’ve ever faced, he thinks sardonically, spinning the notebook around.
Then he reads the first line, and his head shoots up to look at her. He must look a bit ridiculous, if the growing smile on her face is anything to go by.
She gestures with a wave of her hand towards the notebook and he clears his throat with an awkward chuckle as he looks back down at the paper.
I would really like it if you didn’t leave. I’m sorry for laughing, but you’re just so nice I was surprised. I would be lying if I said I didn’t already know who you are, but I just didn’t expect you to be interested. This whole situation is very random but I think that’s the first time I’ve laughed out loud in a long time. I understand if you change your mind, or if I’m overstepping, but if it’s not too forward, I think I’d like to talk to you too. Maybe when it’s not the middle of the night.
~~~~~
As soon as she slid the notebook across the table she itched to grab it back. She nipped at the tip of her thumb between her teeth to fight the urge, pulling her other arm to curl around her stomach.
What if I misunderstood what he was trying to tell me? He seemed so nice but maybe he’ll regret it now that he’s actually been around me a bit. When was the last time you even went on a date? Oh god, he’s already reading it, maybe I—
“Are you busy tomorrow?”
She’s abruptly pulled out of her spiraling doubts so fast she gets mental whiplash, and she focuses back on him as she considers if she misheard.
He’s beaming at her again, the corner of his eyes crinkling and one side pulling on his cheek just slightly higher than the other, the same boyish charm from earlier peeking its way through. He tilted his head as he leaned in towards her, and the cage holding her butterflies was absolutely demolished, sending her heart fluttering at a pace that’s almost painful.
The question finally caught up to her at his expectant look, and with a shake of her head, he let out a satisfied hum and smacks the table lightly with both hands before reaching to grab the pen, scribbling down a hasty addition to the bottom of the page before putting both items back in her space.
Pushing himself to stand, he spun the chair back into its original position before addressing her.
“I’ll see you tomorrow (Y/N),” he said with a wink, walking backwards a few steps before turning and making his way out of the doors.
She stared at his retreating back with a small smile that only grew as she peered down at his note.

How to have mismatched eye color in any picrew: a tutorial
*****
At the bottom I give a quick overview (but not a specific tutorial) of how you can also make various other things that are almost never available in picrews, some of these are harder than others: Other forms of Heterocromia, Inner eye ring colors, Custom scars, Custom skin tone variations (can make vitiligo, granted the picrew creator added enough skin variations), Custom hair color streaks
*****
Hate when you choose the perfect picrew, but your oc has some form of heterocromia and the picrew won’t let you show that?
Here’s a quick trick to fix it, with zero artistic talent required.
Everything we need is already in the picrew! We’re just going to use a simple layer trick to merge 2 of the same picrew
This will be user friendly for people who have no experience with digital art and will be done using a free mobile app. (Since most people don’t have computer drawing apps if they aren’t into digital art)
Needed: a picrew you like, a free digital art app (I’m going to use ibis paint X for this tutorial)
The link to the picrew I’ll be using for this. No orange eye color though, the one thing I needed lmao
Step 1:
Save two versions of the same picrew with differing eye colors in each as the only difference.
In my experience, the picrew stays built when you re-enter the link. So, just build it and save it as normal, then it will still be there and you can change the eye color before saving the second copy.
Your copies should look about like this: it’s important to keep the rest of picrew as a copy except for the eye color. The fewer differences, the easier it will be.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b3adc9d8272c5055b37d835c14ca6ac9/e46cd1c9e4c2675c-81/s540x810/6ff8662e2276cb24ecfd372f02faa0f76828fc65.jpg)
Step 2:
Ok, now the hardest part is over! Drawing apps can look scary if you’re not used to them, but it will be ok.
When we open IbisPaint X it will look like this:
You want to select ‘My gallery” and then hit the plus sign at the bottom left hand corner. You’ll then be given this menu:
Now this looks like a mess, butttt you’re just going to ignore it all and click import picture. You can then choose 1 of the picrew’s from your gallery. Don’t worry it doesn’t matter which you choose.
You will be prompted with this notification:
Cancel this. This will turn the work into lineart or something I’m not sure tbh. Not familiar with this app. But it will mess up our picrew. Accidentally did it? No problem! Just close the app and go back through the menu
Step 3:
So, now you have this:
We’re ready to overlap it with the other picrew we made!
I’m running out of the 10 photos per post, I’ll try to still give a visual for each step though. Hope it’s not confusing
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/390056d3e659c733ff9ae38acf9d82df/e46cd1c9e4c2675c-88/s540x810/331105513e211e991edee03cace984b84eb122b5.jpg)
1- First we’re going to hit the ‘layers’ symbol at the bottom right
2- here we can see the layers, this app seems to automatically make a new layer for a new picture, so don’t worry about any of this! Select the add photo button and choose your picrew with the opposite eye color of the 1st
3- Dont mess with these settings, just push the green check! We don’t want to move the picture since we’re relying on them being directly on top of each other
4- cancel the lineart thing again
5- Now we have 2 layers, each with 1 version of your picrew
6- you can just tap above this menu to close it. It should appear as though our picrew has changed eye color.
Step 4:
Now for the fun part! We’re going to erase one of the eyes on this top layer to reveal the other color underneath!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/4dc5ade43ec08115de9b8957032f5690/e46cd1c9e4c2675c-b5/s540x810/74fa7ea568810ef2acf5e020f8ccb1ab82af6d0e.jpg)
1- We’re going to switch from pen to eraser using this button in the bottom left hand corner.
2- For the best precision, we’re going to want to zoom in towards the eye that isn’t supposed to be the current color (we can zoom in by placing two fingers on the canvas and pulling them apart. Idk what this is called. Reverse piniching?) The other thing we’re going to do is make the eraser smaller by sliding the top slider to the left.
3- Now we’re ready to erase! Carefully erase over the eye and it will change color. Be careful not the erase the other eye, or it will change color as well. If you make a mistake, the undo button is towards the top of the canvas
4- all done! Just gotta save it now. Push the button in the bottom right corner
5- When the menu comes up, you want to save as a normal PNG. Now it’s in your gallery!
Step 5:
Done!
It doesn’t look edited at all! Because it’s really not, we just combined two of the same art in different colors. No one would ever guess. It still has the same dimensions and everything!
*****
Other stuff you can do with this trick:
Although some of these take a lot more careful erasing, these shouldn’t require any actual drawing. You can use these basics to experiment with this stuff as well:
- A different colored ring around the middle of the eyes: put the middle color on the bottom layer and erase around the pupil carefully in a circle with a very small eraser brush size.
- eyes that are half colored, in a line down the middle (a form of heterocromia): layer order doesn’t matter, erase half of each eye carefully, depending on which color should be where.
- a color streak through the hair: this one will require careful erasing to look good. You’ll need a picrew where the hair is entirely the color of the streak, and a picrew with the surrounding hair color. Put the color streak layer on the bottom layer. Erase the top layer in the shape of the streak you want colored. You can place it anywhere. You can do this with faded hair tips as well, but how well that turns out will depend on the color difference the creator had between similar hair colors... in other words, if dark and light brown are closer together in color value, it will look more natural when you merge them. I would recommend putting the lighter hair color layer on the bottom. When you erase, you’ll be drawing where the highlights are, functionally the same as the color streak.
- you can make uneven skin tones or vitiligo if the creator has added enough skin tone variations to the picrew: to make vitiligo you’ll make a picrew with your lightest skin tone and a picrew with your darkest skin tone. You’ll put the lightest skin tone on the bottom layer. Then you’ll erase the top layer in the pattern where skin pigment has been lost. You’ll be able to control the pattern of color loss like this, and make any pattern you want! This layer order works best for putting light patches on darker skin. If you want to darken an area you’ll put the darker layer down first and erase the top layer with lighter skin into the pattern you want. Essentially: put light down first if you want to put a light pattern on dark skin. Put dark down first if you want to put a dark pattern on light skin
-custom scars if the creator has added enough skin tone variations to the picrew: this is the same idea as skin tone variations. This time though, we need a picrew with a pink tone skin color choice, a lighter one than the character’s skin tone can also work if you want silver scars. Make a picrew with normal skin tone for the character, and a picrew with the scar color. Put the scar color picrew down first, then add the normal tone one. Now when you erase it should make scars in any pattern you want!
If you’re having trouble erasing neatly, the answer is always to zoom in on the canvas and decrease the eraser brush size! Also you can undo and redo until it looks how you want!
That’s all I can think of right now! Hope everyone has fun making those OC’s that the picrews always seem to forget. And especially anyone who’s been left out themselves!
I have on anon asks if anyone has questions/problems using this tutorial! Or any questions about how to do something similar
Feel free to add other tips to this post as well!

Digimon Tamers: Cyber Battles, Entry 3: Across The Digital Frontier
Chapter Preview/Link To Full Chapter Below
Setsuna glanced outside, noticing now that they were passing through a lush green forest area, having exited the Dark Area half an hour ago. It was still bright outside, but Impmon and Guilmon had told her that there was no sunrise nor sunset in this Digital World. When it became night, the Digital World would suddenly become dark, as if someone flipped a switch, and the only light that came was the one from the orb that represented the Real World.
There seems to be a lot to explore here, Setsuna thought, turning back to the conversation Takuto and Guilmon had.
''So, to recap, most humans think that we are characters in some kind of video game?'' Guilmon asked Takuto, who nodded.
''Well, it isn't only a video game, but there are also multiple anime seasons, movies, a trading card game, the V-Pet and other Digimon-themed merchandise,'' he explained. ''However, I don't think most humans are aware that there is an alternate world in which Digimon exist as living beings.''
''It is kind of ironic, considering Digimon are aware of the existence of humans,'' Setsuna interrupted.
''Actually, our knowledge of humans is only limited to rumors we overheard from Digimon that have encountered them or became partners with one. We are familiar with some things, and I believe that you actually know a lot more about us than we do about you,'' Guilmon told her.
''Maybe that's true, but we can still learn a lot from each other,'' Takuto said excitedly, with Guilmon nodding. Setsuna tilted her head as she stared at the two, who seemed to be getting along rather well despite only knowing each other for a short time.
If this is the kind of bond they already have, what would happen once they get used to being a team? Setsuna glanced over at Impmon, who seemed to have a bored look on his expression. He seemed to have already recovered from his injuries and appeared to be ready for the next battle. She smiled, glancing down at her D-App. I'm sure that this new experience will be interesting for both of us.
''If you ask me, there are several things I'd like to know,'' Setsuna said, drawing everyone's attention. ''However, for now, we have to figure out how to return to the Real World. That's why we are going to the Surface Layer, right?''
''While the Surface Layer has a lot of connection points, that doesn't mean that we are going to be able to find a way into the Real World,'' Impmon told her, with Setsuna giving him a questioning look. He gave her a mischievous smile. ''I have never been in the Real World, but I'd like to visit it.''
''Me too, even though this may be difficult,'' Guilmon added. ''There are several rumors about how a Digimon would be able to access the Real World, with the best known one being that a Digimon needs to load the data of Digimon that had already been in the Real World in order to go there. Of course, that's just a rumor and I haven't met anyone who had proven that it is actually true.''
''I don't think that that would be necessary,'' Takuto told him. ''Now that we are partners, it is obvious that you'd be coming with me in the Real World, Guilmon.''
''Do you even have any idea how to get back?'' Setsuna asked him. Takuto gave her a sheepish look.
''Um, I guess we'll return to the Real World the same way we used to come into the Digital World,'' he said. Setsuna sighed, shaking her head.
''You are missing a step,'' she told him, with Takuto giving her a confused look. ''It seems as if we both have entered the Digital World through the Cyberspace, meaning we need to figure out a way into the Cyberspace so we can find out how to return to the Real World.''
''Well, that's what I meant,'' Takuto muttered, with Setsuna crossing her arms.
''Do you even know how you managed to enter the Cyberspace?'' she asked.
''Yeah, I got this question on my game app…'' Takuto took out his smartphone, searching for it, with his eyes widening in surprise. ''It's gone! The app is gone!''
''What?'' Setsuna took her own smartphone out, only to notice that the Digimon Story: Lost World game was gone from her smartphone app list.

tagged by: @songzhong (hello, here’s a wall of text, and I enjoyed reading about you Mao!) tagging: @you on the dash - aka you see this you’re tagged.
——— BASICS!
Name: Duke ( any pronouns, but most use masculine )
Face Claims: - Itsuki Kamiyama from GOTH (professional like above) - Suga from Night of Drizzling Rain (general)
——— THREE FACTS!
1) I am an ISTJ and a Taurus...so take that what you will. I’d like to say I’m friendly, but tend to put a very large wall (of text) up so people know what they’re getting into with me and to give an explanation for my actions...as such I am very introverted and only have so much energy for interaction. This leaves me seldom to contact people in the RPC unless I have a specific idea in mind for our muses...which honestly I never do. The best is for me to just chuck a meme at people and see how our muses vibe. After that, well uh...yeah. I’m one of those RPers who have more people I interact IC than OOC cuz OOC interaction takes a lot out of me unless we somehow vibe well.
And by vibe well, I mean our muses generally interact well and aren’t apathetic towards each other. There are so many muns that I respect and consider friends and admire from afar, but we’re not close due to just our muses just not vibing as well as others (which is totes fine it’s just how things sometimes go, ya know?).
( you’ll find that I write a lot hence the read more )
2) I am very stubborn and have a little bit of tunnel vision in my own HCs and world crafting. My muses tend to be people who hold an authoritative and demanding presence where their opinions are stated as truth...which is the complete opposite of my own personality. But I’ve learned that I have to kinda draw my lines and I feel like I can probably give people whiplash between my timid and nervous nature and when it comes to defining my muses. Honestly I’m just very flexible with molding my muses to help fit for interaction, but I do have hard lines and like to make it clear if I’m bending my characters vs how they would naturally act...I tend to make my muses push overs unless I’m like 100% comfy...and even them I make them push overs...hence the amount of my crack threads because I have no sense control and just wanna have fun...with my tight assed muses.
3) That said...I’m just a meme. My main reputation is just being that one mun who RPs a Team Rocket OC with 6 Magikarps. But I truly just have two sides. The very crackish side where (1) I’ll just throw our muses in ridiculous situations and (2) the very angst heavy side that usually only talked about due to my muses handling trauma and very apathetic and nonchalant towards breaking hearts. And as I write this out I feel like I’m giving people whiplash on whoever is reading this since they see Huffman here and is like “oh, how cute what a soft boy” and then I bring up Morax who is just a monstrosity of a muse where I’m toning him down 99% of the time because...well...(*looks at hands*) he’ll end up killing a muse 99% of the time if I don’t stop him and that isn’t fun to RP.
——— EXPERIENCE!
My first experience in RPing in general was on an old website called TinierMe and also a mobile app called VampiresLIVE (lol). However I officially started RPing on Tumblr in 2014 as a Gijinka!Groudon blog originally known as theruleroftheland. After that I’ve slowly branched out of the Pokemon RPC but hold a strong connection with the friends I’ve made there (or kinda, I’m horrible at keeping contact with others since I disappear for months/years at a time). But I’ve found I’m most comfortable writing on tumblr due to the amount of formatting and organization that comes with RPing on here.
I’m slowly branching out to Discord (thank you to my dear RP partners over there who are patient with me because I’m slow) and becoming more accustom with being social over there.
——— MUSE PREFERENCE!
Gender: 100% male to RP as. I find that I gravitate towards males since I have disconnection with male muses from myself and I like having that wall. Writing females get a little too personal for my own comfort so having that extra layer of distance really helps. Also it helps me look at things differently.
Multi or Single:
I prefer single-muse blogs to run as I like keeping things strictly relating to my muse on one blog and another muse on another. Over the years I’ve been interested in throwing my old muses onto a multi-muse blog but honestly I can never bring myself making a multi-fandom multi-muse blog due to my own heavy need for organization.
As for shipping, I work under what I call a Quasi-Single shipping (aka multi- and single- ship). I operate under the impression that my muses are in an overarching timeline of their life that is heavily affected by their relationships. As such the MULTISHIP aspect is prone to have cheating and relationship overlap. I’m into having muses naturally engage in threesomes, foursomes, lying, cheating, misunderstandings, fights, break ups, get back togethers, etc. with all muses and muns participating together in the joy of it all. Jealousy and questioning of my muses’ relationships and actions are welcomed as I like having the sense that my muses are human and things aren’t so cookie cutter.
That said I am also SINGLESHIP in the sense that most of my muses are not polyamorous and are very much interested in having an end goal relationship where they settle down and marry. With who and how that happens really depends on both my muse and my partner’s muse. So whoever my muse is really shooting to get married to and actively advances will be my main single ship partner...or really whoever is going to influence my muse the most and I can see my muse actually yearning for (which honestly isn’t that many muses *cries*).
That said...Huffman in particular is going to be really hard to single-ship with as he is 100% dedicated his entire life to his lord and savior Lord Barbatos and this is the thanks he gets to Mondstadt and he will betray his own lover and such for Mondstadt.
He is also a(ego)romantic so he has a huge disconnection with serious relationships as he will honestly treat them just like he treats every other citizen in Mondstadt and it can slowly get to any of his partners since he just thinks is just apart of his job as a partner...which is the same job he has with the people of Mondstadt.
fluff/angst/smut:
Fluff: Generally I don’t find myself interested in fluff, but I realized that is only because of my previous muses couldn’t handle fluff at all. For this particular blog (Huffman) fluff is honestly the only thing that I can offer due to the nature of his character. Fluff with the undertone of angst is going to happen a lot, it’s not going to be sugary sweet fluff but just a result of Huffman’s very grounded and relaxed nature. He is calm and level headed, very rational (a little too rational) and very determined to make sure everyone is happy...and as such angst won’t really happen because Huffman tries to avoid such things naturally.
Angst: I enjoy angst, I’m that person who loves crying and my favorite tropes (especially in shipping) is unrequited love especially when it’s with a character who has so much love and dedication to one person. As such, I find that I’m more inclined to talk about angst than actually RPing it. I’m very slow (really really slow) when it comes to RPing unless it’s crack or relaxed banter. So when it comes to angst, I like to set time aside and fully write it out...making me having to respond weeks to months later...haha sorry. Also I naturally have muses who are apathetic towards angst and other muses feelings that is hard for me to write because I’m the opposite and I get heavily invested...it takes a lot out of me.
That said...most of my angst comes from very slow burns rather than actually writing it out. It’s more of the anticipation of the heartache, breakup, betrayal, cheating, etc. that I’m more inclined to talk about than actually RP...as stated above my muses are generally cold hearted and very accepting of any consequence to their actions...they tend to be planners and expect karma to creep up on them someday.
Smut: I am very particular about smut. I personally like talking about it but actually writing it takes a lot more time for me to do. There are some words that I refuse to write (which happens to be a lot of the smutty words lol) due to how I read them in my head irks me and doesn’t flow right (my worst subject in school was English so I don’t know many words okay). As such, it takes time for me to fully write smut and even then the way I tackle it is very action oriented rather than immersive (I like to think) so uh...RIP my rp partners who want to write smut since I usually respond when I’m half asleep and have no filter and probably stare at me like “wtf did I just read?”. I’m sorry my smut partners who have to deal with me.
plot/ memes:
Memes: I’m more inclined to send memes than actually get around to responding to them. I like keeping my thread count low because I’m slow and usually memes require immediate interaction (something that I may or may not have the time for). However, most of my threads come from memes that will fizzle out over time and I eventually drop without warning- it just how it goes.
Plots: I like plotting and defining pre-established relationships. Having to start everyone off with a blank slate isn’t something I like unless it just seems natural for our muses (ie. for Huffman he probs doesn’t know many Liyue characters, but he definitely is close to Mondstadt characters at least on a name basis). As such, I tend to like establishing relationships and then going from there so I know how Huffman will interact with them.
Plotted threads, however, take a lot out of me as I like coining an idea and then having a starter be written and then go from there. If there are checkpoints to happen, I get awkward because my muses are 95% certain to shift the narrative based on what is being written and the situation that arises. So heavily plotted threads isn’t good, but defining the trajectory of a relationship is something I’m down for...mostly because I’m a quasi-single ship and 99% of my muses relationships are going to fail naturally - which is something hard to bring up when there is ship talking happen.

FOR TONIGHT ( x )
Inside a Mercedes GLC Coupé, late night — or, potentially, early hours of the morning —, late September: the slow exhalations falling through parted lips. Lips that had been permanently curled upwards all Sunday long; soft smiles when eyes met and the recollections of hazy days, filled with elation, with the utmost joy, were silently shared. Crinkly-eyed grins, displaying tenderness for what once was. Slight, fleeting smirks, accompanied by the silent nudge to a leg underneath the table, so casually that it almost felt normal.
Lips that now taste the salt, the wetness that he would have mistaken by a droplet of rain, hadn’t he been cozied up under the glimmering stars of the SUV’s roof. Refusing to acknowledge the single, oval-shaped tear making its path down his cheek, leaving a trail ( of the remnants of the past, of a heartache, of what could have been ) as it descends, won’t do anything for him. It won’t ease the heavy feeling on his head or erase how his heart plummeted down to his stomach as soon as he signaled to the right and brought the car to a halt on a, frankly appalling manner, parking spot.
His brown eyes are shut tight, hands disappearing into the sleeves of his favorite jumper like a child’s would and he’s unspeaking. Is he aware, in the intensity of the moment, that life scurries by in all its ordinariness and vulgarity, imposing itself all around him — in the dark corner of the street where a couple is far too enthralled by the kisses they share or the late workers, speeding by the empty, well-lit streets, caring little about traffic rules and regulations. Is he aware or is he unscathed, unaffected while he glances at something deeper… His own version of life in all its glorious ugliness or maybe… glancing at something concealed, hidden underneath the layers he spent years developing, creating with his own imagination and bringing to life with a lot of hard work.
Soft strands of brown hair stand in an unruly fashion - one going left and the other right, one swiveling up and a few others resting idly on his forehead - as a consequence of all the tugging and combing, the numerous times he ran his long fingers through it in the previous hours. Simultaneously, his backs moves, ever so unhurriedly, to gently rest against the comfort of seat and a gentle sigh bubbles out, cutting through the silence established in the car. A second, two, three… a long minute, he remains motionless. Stagnant like his life seems to be, he thinks. And then… then he’s reaching for the phone, unlocking it, staring to a background that should have been changed a year and a half away when the future became the past and the plans became memories. 3.27, he whispers, but in an act of courage ( or desperation ), he dials a number. The number that remained engraved into his memory like it was ink to the skin. No answer. He did not expect one. The green icon of the messaging app calls for his attention and without any thought he clicks it, beginning a new chat but words fail. There’s a mess of thoughts, racing and clashing, spiraling in and out his brain, and he laughs. No use for this literature degree sometimes, rushes to the forefront of his mind. He touches and holds the recording button, instead.
“Rylee—“ his voice comes out huskier than he expected, carrying out the exhaustion he hadn’t felt until now, honeyed and low like anything would break if he would raise it an octave, like he would wake her up. It throws him off. He releases the button with a frown, groaning once he equates he also sent the audio message. No point turning back now, he reasons. You might be gone in the morning anyway, the remembrance sends a shiver down his spine and the frown grows deeper. Shaking off the thoughts, he begins again, thankful she hadn’t seen - or heard - the nonsensical first message.
“I think we’ve been done long before everything begun between us — harsh, maybe. I just mean that… in hindsight, it’s as though it was always the destiny playing a twisted joke on us. Your father has always been your father— bless him— what I mean is, you were always predestinated to be in the spotlight, the public eye, one way or another and by the time we met, I already knew I couldn’t handle it. I couldn’t handle the fame. I know you have always been honest with me— you never hid the fame was unwanted but that it would be there, regardless. Yet…” He laughs, humorlessly, the sound melodious but brimming with all the hurt, the emotion. When he proceeds, his voice grows softer. “Honesty is just a game, isn’t it? Life is just a game. I knew we were done before it all begun, yet I lead us on, I continue to let it happen, because I still can’t give it up. Yesterday I couldn’t sleep until some ungodly hour, and I had to fight myself not to go and lie with you… because I knew you’d leave in the morning - or later that day - and even though I know it’s what we both wanted, I know it’s wrong to lie with you. Even if it’s all I wanna do. Even if we’re safe behind close doors and the world can’t see us or touch us. Sometimes I want to shut down the rational part of my brain and throw away every single point that proves we shouldn’t be together, that it wouldn’t stay secret or private for long. But I know it’s a Russian roulette. Did we become insensitive to what is wrong, after we saw each other at that supermarket? My mind went empty, you know? All I wanted to do was hold you and kiss you and mend everything. All I wanted to do was keep you in my arms for as long as I could. All I wanted, all I really wanted to do, was travel back in time and be so close to you that I could tell what scent you were wearing that day and it would forever be engraved in my memory, alongside every little detail of yours. Like how you relax whenever I draw my fingers up and down your arm or how you smile, no matter how pissed off you are, whenever you see me smile at you. Then, you spoke and I broke through the haze because if seeing you was enough to bring it all back, I didn’t want the rest. No longer wanted to hold you because I know the feelings would eat me up alive. Then there was this weekend and… shit…” A sniff ends the audio, the screen of the iphone lighting his face and collecting tears he hadn’t processed were falling. For now, he ignores them and holds the recording button one last time, “I love you. More than I ever realized, and to a point where the whole loving someone until it hurts quote is starting to make sense. I love you in the purest, most ridiculous of the ways, in a manner that doesn’t compare to anything else, to any other feeling. I love you to the point where just seeing you has my heart racing and hearing your name brings a smile to my lips. I love you to the point where I would happily lie with you and hold you in my arms, for the rest of my life. And I don’t think anyone or anything will ever compare. I don’t think I will ever get over you or us, I don’t think I will ever be able to take someone else to the places we used to go. Did I tell you a few months ago, I was entirely convinced I had gotten over our breakup and then, I was driving and our song— can I still call it that?— started playing and it was all it took to erase my beliefs. It’s all it takes to remind me you aren’t out of mind and to make me smile in the most stupid of the ways. I have no idea why I’m telling you this. I’ve been parked in the same spot for a while now and… just… nights are hard. Heartbreak is harder at night. And… And I’m evidently avoiding the fact there are two suitcases in the car’s boot and I have a flight to France in a few hours — and the imminent, looming issue that if I don’t take it, I’m about to be fired. Funny huh? Got a nice job overseas and I’m wallowing in self-pity over how much I love you. Is life ever this laughable? Is it always this comical… Anyway… I’ll go now, I hope I didn’t wake you up. And I’m sorry I didn’t tell you the job thing, I didn’t want to see your reaction because then I might just actually throw every fucking reservation away and stay with you. I know you… I know you told me you would never move on — and its rich of me to ask when I just said myself that I wouldn’t move on either — but I want you to try and be happy without me, okay? I’ll always be yours. The past eleven years of my life will always be yours. You’ll always be everything I want but I think I should really leave… I— yeah, I should leave now. I’m gonna miss my flight. I love you. Always, always, always.”

I want to get into digital drawing. Do you have a program to recommend? And what ipad or tablet do you use?
This got long so I’ll just put it under a read more.
First, tablet. I have a Wacom Bamboo CTH-470, which is like, super duper basic and cost around 100€.
But it’s always been well enough for me, so if you’re just starting out I’d suggest getting something from a similar price range (it’s also going at its eighth or so year and is yet to fail me despite getting abused quite a bit, so needless to say I’m p happy with it.) I also like smaller tablets like the one I have now, ‘cause they fit into smaller space and I’ve never felt the need for anything bigger. I have tried a bigger tablet (that I didn’t own), but I did not like it.
I can’t really tell you anything about iPads. I have used one a few times (Procreate as the drawing app), but I... Wasn’t a fan of drawing directly on the screen. So personally I’d never get any tablet, iPad or screened drawing tablet or anything of the like, where you need to draw on the screen. But that’s just a personal preference and probably comes from being so used to just regular drawing tablets; I’m sure that if I used one for long enough I’d get used to it. I just have no interest in learning.
Another personal preference: styluses with no batteries in them. I’ve never looked into why some styluses have batteries, but I do not like the thought of needing one for the pen to work.
Then, programs! Me, I’ve been using SAI since I started digital art, first SAI 1 (pirated version), and now SAI 2 (legit version), and I swear by it.
However, SAI is stupidly basic as a drawing program, which is a very big part of why I love it (it lets you focus just on the drawing without any distractions), but is also a huge downside of it. In the exact same price range is also Clip Studio Paint, so honestly, if you were ready to shell out 50~€ for a drawing program, I’d just go for CSP and learn to use it from the beginning, ‘cause CSP is anything but basic and is actually a very powerful piece of software (and 30 day free trial goes without saying. For SAI too I think, if I remember right).
If you don’t wanna pay and don’t wanna pirate, there’s a bunch of free art programs too, most of which I’ve never used to any great extent. Except GIMP, but GIMP isn’t exactly a drawing program, it’s an image manipulation program, so I can’t recommend you’d try to draw with it.
A couple of free drawing drawing programs I have heard good things about are Krita and FireAlpaca, so you could check those out.
And unless you’ve used drawing programs before, word of warning: every last one of them is gonna look complicated and scary at first, some more so than others. Part of what drove me to SAI was exactly because it was so stripped down, which made it easy to learn, but even that was a learning curve. Just take it slow and don’t be discouraged. Once you learn to use the drawing program of your choice it’ll become second nature.
But you gotta weigh the pros and cons of the programs for yourself. In my case, yeah, SAI is basic, but it’s also easy to use and I can achieve the results I want with it, so it’s enough. But what you want and need from a program only you can say, and will only come with a little bit time and a little bit of experience. For me, one feature I can’t live without, is stabilizer. SAI has one for across the board, CSP has one for individual brushes, and idk about other drawing programs. But I need the stabilizer, it gives me so much more control over my brush strokes and brush pressure (for reference, I keep SAI’s stabilizer at 12 excepting the rare instances where I need to turn it off). Some might kinda call that cheating but WHATEVER I like my stabilizer sue me.
Another thing is SAI’s layer and layer folder organization methodology. I have it down for my art flow and use of hundreds of layers for basically everything I make, and is what keeps me from even trying to switch to Photoshop, ‘cause Photoshop doesn’t support the same layer folder clipping thingy. Which is why even if I save as psd from SAI, opening it up in Photoshop will just have it look fucked.
I can’t remember if CSP handled the layers the same as SAI or Photoshop rn, but yeah. Once you get to using something and get used to it, you’ll find features that you just need that will weed out the potential programs for you. Not that you can’t ever learn around them or learn to live without them, but it becomes an issue of do you want to.
Sheesh, that got long. Hope it helps though!

Leading 3 Ways To Acquire A Used Embedded Google Maps In Website
11 interesting facts regarding Google Maps.
Google Maps in a website are involving, acquainted, as well as dependable for your users-- and also the go to my blog Google Maps APIs make developing with them simple. To establish the Google Maps application on your apple iphone to listen for "OK, Google" while browsing, open the Google Maps application and tap on the menu icon, then tap Setups. On top of the web page, under the heading Navigating, tap Navigating, then scroll to the choice labeled Access your Aide with "ALRIGHT Google" and transform the toggle on. Once you've gotten a sneak peek whatsoever your dining establishment choices, the majority of the moment you don't also need to leave the Google Maps app to make a booking. If you 'd rather eat at home, you can also usually order carryout or distribution from within the application.
What is a Google Maps URL?
You can use the Google Maps URL scheme to launch the Google Maps app for iOS and perform searches, get direction requests, and display map views. Note: Maps URLs let you build a universal, cross-platform URL to launch Google Maps and perform searches, get directions, display map views, and display panoramic images.
This smart technique allows you to browse just a tiny component of the earth without packing the entire map - as well as you still obtain an impression of discovering a single significant record. People are utilizing coordinate systems and map forecasts to change the form of Planet right into usable level maps for centuries. As we slip and move into a world where our enhanced fact is progressively noticeable to us off and online, Google's geographic data might become its most valuable property.
Being able to see how you're doing throughout the day can be an exceptional means to improve your confidence, keep you concentrated on your purposes as well as push you to go after the next milestone. You can create or import 360 images with the Street View app.
Essentially, imbalances don't represent actual geologic adjustments, yet happen due to the fact that it's difficult to plop an aerial or orbital picture onto the latitude as well as longitude grid. The photo has to be lined up with referral points developed on the ground. However the procedure of ground-truthing a map is never excellent. In addition, the survey-mark collaborates can be inaccurate or totally incorrect. Einstein explained gravity as the flexing of spacetime.
And it's a lot like Google's open competitor, Open Street Map, which has actually confirmed that it, too, can harness the group's intelligence. The maps we used to keep folded up in our handwear cover areas were a collection of lines as well as forms that we superimposed with human knowledge. Currently, as we have actually seen, a map is a collection of lines and also shapes with Nick Volmar's (and numerous others') knowledge inscribed within. It's probably much better not to think about Google Maps as a thing like a paper map.
How many miles should you walk a day?
The average American walks 3,000 to 4,000 steps a day, or roughly 1.5 to 2 miles. It's a good idea to find out how many steps a day you walk now, as your own baseline. Then you can work up toward the goal of 10,000 steps by aiming to add 1,000 extra steps a day every two weeks.
erasing A Google Map.
The trick to this success isn't, as you may anticipate, Google's center with information, however instead its readiness to commit humans to combining and also cleaning data about the physical world. Google's map offerings construct in the human intelligence on the front end, and that's what enables its computers to inform you the very best course from San Francisco to Boston. Currently visualize doing this for each ceramic tile on Google's map in the United States and 30 various other nations over the last 4 years. Every roundabout perfectly circular, every junction with the right logic.
data.
Numerous have actually speculated that Apple is collecting its own Street View images. But provided what we saw a couple of months back at Patricia's Environment-friendly, it doesn't appear that Apple is removing location data from whatever these vans are collecting. And in areas where Apple does have buildings, it shows up that they're being sourced from third-parties, such as TomTom (Apple's main data company). The Regional Guides are just one of Google's lots of solutions that stay not specifically extensively understood.
Next, you have to fetch a valid cookie from Google, while being logged in with account B. Log in with your qualifications of account B on Google Maps with a COMPUTER with Firefox or Chrome.
The whole world looks like a square, that makes it simple to work with on a computer system. The globe is separated right into tiny squares, each with repaired geographical location and range.
How can I create a map?
Create a map 1. On your computer, sign in to My Maps.
2. Click Create a new map.
3. Go to the top left and click "Untitled map."
4. Give your map a name and description.
Do these maps function as dispositive webs that figure out the behaviour, point of views and photos of living beings, working out power and controlling knowledge? Maps, which themselves are the product of a combination of states of expertise and also states of power, have an inscribed power dispositive. Google's simulation-based map and globe models figure out the truth and also assumption of physical areas and the growth of action models.
This is not something you can assemble with a couple of loads clever designers. Volmar began to take care of the map, promptly drawing the brand-new roadway and attaching it to the existing framework. In his haste, he did not draw an ideal circle of factors.
This is where plate tectonics can make itself really felt. Google Maps and also GPS count rather on WGS 84, preserved by an identical military firm, which has a significantly larger budget plan. The civilian one is optimized for surveying within North America; the army one sacrifices residential accuracy for global insurance coverage.
It's a wonderful device that enables your visitors get a birds-eye view of your business, read evaluations, and also get turn-by-turn instructions straight to your front door.
I'm curious-- if you go into business address and also the business name does NOT turn up like symphonious 3 above would you consider that to mean there is a problem with the google+ neighborhood listing?
The address pen turns up yet not business name as in your instance.
But can not they figure this out by themselves without this additional code?
Not only due to this information alone, however since location data makes whatever else Google does and also knows better. Task handled by Gupta throughout his time in India, it's the "upside down" variation of Ground Fact. It's an openly accessible way to modify Google Maps by including landmarks and data regarding your item of the globe. It's a method of drawing data out of human brains and onto the Internet.
Do you need to download Google Earth?
Step 1 – Download Google Earth
Google Earth is a freely available virtual globe program. It displays satellite images, aerial photographs, and graphic layers on personal computers by delivering them over the Internet. Advanced versions of Google Earth are available for purchase, but this activity uses the free version.
There are problems where the digital data does not match the real world. " So you want to make a map," Weiss-Malik tells me as we sit down before a massive display.

Things I learned while using a smartphone for digital art
This week was pretty fun but also quite busy/rough.
A picture I’ve been working on got lost when Autodesk Sketchbook encountered a “cannot open file” type of error. Partially due to my fumbling hands and the app lagging, the file was overwritten with a new canvas, so I lost progress on it...
Maybe that’s a blessing in disguise. I’ve been rethinking the layout/form of the drawing (one of those aesthetic, ‘choose a magical pill’ kind of drawings). So this situation forces me to go back and improve on it. Which I’ll do because while I may be a scatterbrain with many ideas that don’t become a tangible thing, I still don’t like abandoning most things I actually start doing.
Also, funny to think that this happens shortly after my SO gifted me a drawing tablet (though it’s still on its way.) While it isn’t the fanciest device out there, it seems to have promising reviews and might just be a good way for me to break out of my comfort zone (as a mobile drawer) so I could properly learn how to do digital art via a tablet.
So be prepared for a good deal of experimentation in my future works! I still plan on using Autodesk. But I also see how using the PC program and having a tablet and pressure-sensitive stylus could produce different results.
That being said, drawing on a cellphone with a stylus had some perks. The biggest one being on-the-go drawing and being able to quickly scan in a sketch after drawing it naturally via pen/pencil.
Here are some things I learned while drawing on a mobile phone:
Layer management is your best friend.
It’s likely that your cellphone may not be able to handle as many layers as a PC program. While this may seem like a flaw, this limitation forced me to learn how to block out what I was drawing so that I wouldn’t be swimming in a sea of layers to begin with.
The above illustration uses 16 layers (not counting the scanned in pen/pencil art from my sketchbook.) The line art gets one layer (which is generally made simple from tracing the pen sketch). Each character/object (in this case the bench) gets a layer for coloring and a layer for shading. The background is all one layer + a layer for shading. Throw in a layer for lighting, a layer for a warm, bluish overlay, and a layer for my signature, and that’s the picture.
My trick for coloring each character was to assign them two initial layers. The bottom one would eventually be the final result. The top one would be where I color in a region using the fill tool, add detail if needed, and then merge it with the bottom layer underneath. Rinse and repeat as many times as needed until the character/object is completely filled in on one layer.
I worked through each character, one by one and not multiple ones at once, to prevent merging the wrong layers together.
Blocking things out by character and object helped with shading in both their general form and also details without interfering with the shading of other objects.
Choose your phone carefully, and check for stylus compatibility!
Unfortunately, the phone I have doesn’t work with a pressure-sensitive stylus I once ordered that was advertised to work with both iPhones and Android phones. I figured this out when checking out its manual. I lucked out at the start because I had a Note 4. But then that died on me. This was likely an internal failure and something due to wear/tear. A new battery wouldn’t cut it.
In the interest of being frugal and needing a new phone ASAP, I got the Essential Phone since it was affordable, stylish, and super spacious. At the time, I failed to think about stylus compatibility. I figured that any thin, capacitive stylus that wasn’t like your finger would cut it. Somehow I made this setup work. But this lack of pressure sensitivity (which was much more present in the Note 4 + its stylus) was also noticeably limiting.
So if you’re buying a phone that you plan to use for drawing, do the research on how it handles styluses if you aren’t planning on buying a phone that includes one already.
Sit through adjusting your preferences to avoid future headaches. I personally don’t like zoom-in features that tilt the canvas. While this is partially due to my own clumsiness, I also thought: Why use that when you could simply tilt your phone?
Other things to consider are going into your app’s Pen Mode so your hands can’t leave stray marks on your drawing. Since I wasn’t able to do that with my phone, I adjusted how I held the stylus and got used to the double-tap Undo shortcut since I was prone to the occasional stray dot.
Be careful not to close your app without saving!
This may sound laughably basic. But when it comes to cellphones, it’s easy to make a careless mistake in the midst of multitasking while drawing--whether you’re researching reference pictures or shuffling through your playlist. I suspect that I left Autodesk on multiple tasks (like having a selected region) and closed it out sometime in the middle of doing something else only to open up the app again and then work on another drawing. This might have contributed to something like the most recent error that made me lose a drawing.
While you’re at it, expect to back-up many pictures/projects to your computer.
This process will force you to label and organize your drawings. Also do this so that whenever you need to reset your phone or change drawing apps, you don’t lose everything. This is also good for seeing how your picture turns out on a bigger screen.
At the end of the day, your drawing skills are more important than whatever tools you use. Having good tools is great for making the drawing process feel more natural to you. However--this is something many artists can agree with--it’s better to master what you do with the basics than to get overwhelmed by fancy brushes and effects (especially when you misapply or overuse them.)

15+ Figma Plugins to Help You Design Better
Figma, the second most-used tool for designing user interfaces (and the first most-used tool when counting only Windows OS), has really taken the digital design industry by storm lately, with even Adobe XD shipping their own version of Figma’s multiplayer feature (naming it “coediting”).
However, the hot topic at Figma right now is the release of plugins — extensions that Figma users can install on Figma to allow for extra functionality or to improve their design workflow.
Let’s take a look at some of the best Figma plugins so far.
1. Arrow Auto (create user flows)
Arrow Auto adds flowchart functionality to Figma, which is useful for creating user flow maps. Select any two objects on the canvas and Arrow Auto will enable you to draw a connector between them. You can also hide and show the flows on demand.
Autoflow is a decent (and maybe nicer looking) alternative, but Arrow Auto has more features, including the ability to switch connector directions and also move connected objects around while keeping connectors intact.
2. Angle (utilize device mockups)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/61a4d81435a42d588584337d6e54c08a/721b9433b05c3125-5e/s540x810/48f8d8c57623ea6a1023d4df6c4cbbc48e50dd61.jpg)
Angle allows you to display your screens (i.e. artboards) from within a number of realistic or matte-effect device frames that each come with a variety of angle options and shadow styles.
Impressively, they’re 100% vector as well.
Artboard Studio isn’t quite the same thing, as it allows for inserting a whole bunch of random 3D objects onto the canvas (like a kiwi, for example). If you only care about device mockups, I’d install Angle. Vectory 3D is similar to Artboard Studio, but it outputs actual 3D assets.
3. Master (manage components more easily)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7f322be4cde3dc710b954c9228b1db0c/721b9433b05c3125-6f/s540x810/ff85154fea43a158f80e98d80991e5c467e273e6.jpg)
Master offers a better way to manage components, such as the ability to turn multiple identical objects into a component, duplicate components into other Figma files, and much more.
4. Clean Document (auto-clean documents)
Clean Document, well … cleans your document! It deletes hidden layers, sorts them intelligently, renames them according to your liking, ungroups single-layer groups, and even rounds dimensions to the nearest pixel. A terrific tool for obsessive neat freaks!
5. Similayer (select similar layers)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c70d54626239022453645befa42bc745/721b9433b05c3125-a6/s540x810/254fcbbf8a45905808e886c0bf4fae6a3fd481f2.jpg)
Quite simply, Similayer allows you to select layers based on their similarity to the layer that’s currently selected. Let’s say that you wanted to change a shadow style that’s being used on a number of different elements: Similayer could do that.
You could also use it to batch-reassign multiple components.
6. Viewports (change the viewport)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/23360ba2beadeb8668f9a64983fbf1a4/721b9433b05c3125-c6/s540x810/4c2d93830818573124dc9200639c310fb6ae503b.jpg)
Find out the correct market share of all viewport dimensions, then apply them to frames. It’s insane how useful this is!
Viewport data is live-sourced from StatCounter.
7. Todo (create todo lists)
There are dozens of terrific todo lists, but this one exists within Figma. It’s not designed to replace your everyday todo list, but it’s a more convenient way of keeping track of your design-specific todos without needing to leave Figma. Have a list of changes to make? Need to establish priorities?
If so, install Todo.
8. Font Scale (establish a font scale)
Establish a visually consistent/hierarchical font scale by choosing a base size and scale factor, then save the results to your document for continuous reference (as either em or px).
9. Content Reel (insert better-than-lorem-ipsum content)
Content Reel inserts “real” content into your design. Need a quick address? Or an avatar? For some reason can’t think of a single name when you need one? Content Reel has your back.
Designing with real data ensures that the design doesn’t look odd once developed, and also helps us to design for edge cases.
10. Google Sheets Sync (sync data from Google Sheets)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1608c2cda11090ca07e6dceb6487e371/721b9433b05c3125-5e/s540x810/16e266633857d3911a6efc3d8ffc3e83e48ceb62.jpg)
Whether your app has an API or you just want to create a table of data manually, Google Sheets Sync will basically allow you to sync this data directly into Figma. It’s like Content Reel, but instead you define the data yourself. It’s useful for designers that want to build ultra-realistic mockups with data from their actual niche (or live application), and it’s especially useful for teams that want to design using the same library of data.
11. Chart (create “real data” charts)
Create stunning, customizable charts with data from Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, or simply import a local CSV or JSON file. Datavizer is suitable alternative, but Chart can also sync with live JSON (i.e. you can connect Chart to a REST API).
12. Iconify (utilize icon fonts)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a6ed44a0d063dcac23a8632836df645a/721b9433b05c3125-7f/s540x810/dca25bcfe95225cb5f627de6b0538c5f34802c4b.jpg)
All icon fonts, right inside Figma. Material Design Icons, FontAwesome, Jam Icons, EmojiOne, Twitter Emoji — you name it.
Pretty iconic, really.
13. Figmotion (create animations)
If the thought of exploring animation scares you, or you dread switching tools to access advanced animation features, Figmotion makes animation a lot less anxiety-inducing. The animations are also easy to hand off, since they’re based on web technologies.
14. Split Shape (make columns … and stuff)
An interesting method of creating columns, Split Shape splits, say, a rectangle into multiple rectangles from which you can then create columns (or rows, or whatever). Split Shape can be used for various things if one thinks outside the box! 😁
15. Remove BG (create transparent bitmaps)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/47afc39a2d9d439c963270c8746429b0/721b9433b05c3125-a1/s540x810/43f524ca57642ee99a5112e9309e253ff0d84fac.jpg)
Remove BG is a web tool that removes the background of bitmap images, effectively turning them into transparent PNGs. Remove BG for Figma essentially does the same thing, but within Figma.
If you’ve been hoarding Adobe Photoshop only so that you can remove backgrounds, you can now delete it and probably free up approximately 80 thousand million GBs of space on your SSD 😌.
Popular Figma Plugins
There are a few Figma Plugins that I didn’t mention because they’re already super well-known to users of other UI design tools such as Sketch. You probably have these ones already:
Confetti (create dispersions)
Unsplash (insert stock images)
Rename It (rename layers more efficiently)
Humaaans (insert mix-n-match illustrations)
Stark or A11y – Color Contrast Checker (measure color contrast)
Bonus Figma Plugins
These Figma Plugins are awesome, but you might not need them often (if at all). It’s nice to know they’re there, though.
Arc (arch text)
Roto (rotate-extrude shapes)
Table Generator (create tables)
To Path (create text on a path)
Brandfetch (source brand assets)
Isometric (make objects isometric)
Mapsicle or Map Maker (create maps)
Skew (create simple isometric mockups)
Image Tracer (convert bitmaps to vectors)
Shadow Picker (intelligently create shadows)
Metaball/Blobs/Waves (create abstract shapes)
And finally, all Figma Plugins (in case you just can’t get enough of ’em! 😉).
Keen to learn the ins and outs of developing your own plugins, either to improve your workflow or the workflow of others? Check out Figma’s Plugin Docs.
