Cryptid batfam AU where they all start out normal but Gothams latent ancient magic slowly makes them weirder bc they’re her favorites.
Bruce’s parents die and the shadowy cursed city takes their place to intertwine them beyond separation, he slowly adapts to the old magic without even realizing it. He melts seamlessly into her shadows and knows her streets instinctively, she heals him when he’s in her borders and keeps him alive when he should be dying and he repays her by being her bat and her sparkling prince.
Every person he adds to the bat family gets a bit of Gothams influence, if he cares about them, the city will watch over them as they watch over her. They don’t notice it either until an odd behavior is brought up, how they’re more alive at night and can see through the shadows, how their bones heal quickly without residual weakness like they were never broken at all. They age slowly enough to be blamed on good genes but no matter how old they get they never really feel it the way they should.
The bats are always a little scarier in Gotham, their shadows more oppressive and their voices more resonant. No matter how brightly colored their capes are, they’re hidden from sight and cameras struggle to catch a glimpse of them. Even those who meet them face to face aren’t convinced that they’re actually human, rumors vary from whether they’re vampires or other mythical creatures of the night or if they’re just a Gotham strain of meta humans.
Once they were human, but it’s harder to argue that point after a few years.

i love you Kevin Day. and i love you Kevin Gay.
but.
what if. what if It’s easier to remain heterosexual was never about him. what if he was thinking of Jean. what if he knows. what if he’s speaking of Jean’s experience and SA. what if he’s not afraid for himself, but of what Jean suffered. what if he has misconceptions cemented by Jean’s life in the Nest. what if he witnesses Andrew at Thanksgiving and thinks not again. what if he’s just trying to protect everyone.

DP x DC: The Titans and the Phantom Cat
Danny doesn't do magic. He doesn't understand it or really know about it, and frankly he'd be more skeptical about it if it hadn't explicitly been used on him several times before. His parents are scientists and engineers, and they managed to accomplish what would typically fall under the realm of magic with nothing but recycled parts, wires and Fenton ingenuity.
So, when caught in a magic spell to bind him, he didn't know what would happen if he were to intentionally mess it up. Apparently, nothing good. Danny, free from the intended mind control, is now bound to the form of a cat with minimal use of his powers.
How could this get any worse?
Turns out, no one seems to understand what he's saying, they just hear meows. And without the use of his powers, he get's caught and finds himself in an animal shelter in Jump City.
When a group of young heroes comes through on a mission, and then proceed to mess things up, Danny can't help but throw out some snide commentary. Besides, it's not like they'll hear him
Tumblr media
Welllllll... Turns out Raven and Beast Boy can tell what the hell he's saying. Of course the magic user and guy who can turn into animals can talk to him... Still it's nice to finally have someone to talk to, and also get him out of the cage while he's still trying to het a hold of what's left of his powers
Raven immediately clocks him as a powerful spirit bound to animal form. With a little persuasion, she ends up with a new familiar consultant and Danny the Cat gets to live in Titans Tower with them
or
Magic shenanigans happen, now Danny is basically Salem the Cat living with the Teen Titans and teaching them what he knows while mainly lounging around and sassing them. The actual usefulness of his advice may vary

Okay listen I know that canonically stiles is a walking disaster, and that if we put him in heels he’d be a walking catastrophe but it would be infinitely funnier if they actually made him walk better.
Like they are at a pack meeting and someone brings up the fact that the girls are always in heels even when fighting. So they make the guys try on the heels and Scott and Jackson are falling over, Issac is unstable, Boyd just stands their refusing to walk. Derek wouldn’t even put on the heels.
And stiles just struts around. First time in heels too.
It would be really funny.

Teen spirit
Pairing: Carl Grimes x reader
Warnings: Swearing, main character death, violence
Chapter: 7.01
Your eyes sting when tears roll down your cheeks, leaving a horrible salty taste on your dry lips. The sound of Negan’s wooden bat pounding into someone's skull over and over was horrific. Negan pretended to play a game of eenie meenie miney mo while deciding who to kill, but he already had his mind made up.
“Show them no goddamn fear.”
Negan picked Abraham because he showed him no fear. For all you thought he could be an asshole, at times Abraham was brave, and he risked his life multiple times to save others. He was a hero, and he was loved.
“Did you hear that?” Negan chuckles. “He said, Suck my nuts!”
A couple of the men laugh behind him. Negan swings his bat around, causing blood to splatter across Rick’s face. His eyes move along the line up looking for someone else to torment, and when he gets to the end, he smiles.
“Oh shit girly, that wasn’t your daddy, was it?”
You can’t hold back the sob that escapes your mouth. Rosita was a hysterical mess beside you, and you’d never seen Rick look so terrified before. Would anyone get out of this alive? You wished your dad was with you; he always knew how to make you feel better.
Negan crouches down so he’s eye level with you. “Tell me, am I the worst man you’ve ever met?”
You wipe at your nose before letting out a shaky breath. “No, I’ve met a worse man than you.”
Negan smirks at your answer; he enjoys scaring you. You sob when he uses the bloodied bat to stroke the strands of your hair that had fallen in front of your face, leaving small parts of Abraham's blood in your hair. Horrified, you try to brush it out with your fingers, but Negan did the same thing but on the opposite side of your head.
“Leave her alone!” Daryl snaps; he leaps to his feet and punches Negan in the face.
“No!” You are screaming and watching as two men start to beat Daryl. “He’s sorry, just stop it! Please, please don’t hurt him!”
Negan chuckles. “That? Oh my. That is a no, no. The whole thing, not one bit of that shit flies here.”
Dwight steps out of the crowd and points Daryl’s own crossbow at him while he’s pinned to the ground. “Do you want me to do it?”
“No.” Negan had a sadistic smile on his face. “No, you don’t kill them... not until you try a little.”
Dwight looks confused for a moment, but he grabs Daryl and drags him back to his space in the line-up.
“And anyway, that’s not how it works. Now I already told you people the first ones are free, but I said I would shut that shit down! No exceptions.”
Your breath catches in your throat when Negan steps closer to your side of the line-up. He was going to kill one of you next. You close your eyes, not wanting to see the bat coming.
“Now, I don’t know what kind of lying asses you’ve been dealing with, but I am a man of my word. First impressions are important. I need you to know me. So… back to it.”
Your eyes flicker open, and you scream, seeing the bat covered in barbed wire and blood coming down towards you, but Negan doesn’t hit you; he hits Glenn, who was right beside you.
Glenn survives two blows to the head, but one of his eyes was popping out of his head. He manages to lift his head; he was in so much pain, grunting and sputtering blood from his mouth.
“Are you still there, buddy?” Negan asks mockingly. “I just don’t know. It seems like you’re trying to speak, but you just took a hell of a hit. I’ve hit your skull so hard your eyeball just popped out, and it is gross as shit!”
“Maggie, I’ll find you.”
Maggie sobs in response to Glenn’s final words before Negan counts to beat him. He continues to hit him until his skull is completely destroyed.
“You bunch of pussies! I’m just getting started.”
You feel as if you struggle to breathe when parts of Glenn's brain land across your lap. After your father died, you looked to Rick, Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, and Abraham for strength; they were the ones who kept your community safe. And now the blood of two of them was quite literally on your hands.
“Lucile is thirsty; she is a vampire.”
Maggie was distraught. First your mom and brother, then your dad, then Beth, and now Glenn were gone. You just pray to God that if you make it out alive, she doesn’t lose her baby.
“Now back to you.” Negan points his bat directly in front of your face, causing you to tremble with fear; seeing the blood drip off it so closely to your face causes you to freeze. “Which one of my men stabbed you?”
You’re unable to speak.
“Come on now, kid, you won’t get in trouble for telling me.”
Your eyes darted around the circle of men who were standing and watching Negan torment you all. You finally spot the man who stabbed, “h—h—him.” You swallow thickly, terrified of what was to come next. “It was him who stabbed me.”
Negan walks over to the man and pats him on the shoulder, then brings him out of the circle. “This man right here attacked you.”
You nod.
Negan swings his bat again and strikes the man across the face, causing him to scream in pain. But unlike Glenn and Abraham, he doesn’t beat them to death. “As you said, he’s a man who took the easiest option by stabbing a little girl. I can’t have that.”
Before you know it, the sun is starting to rise again. You do your best to avoid looking to your left. The daylight only meant it was easier to see what was left of Glenn.
Your heart drops when the RV pulls up to where you are all still kneeling, the outside of it covered in blood. Negan had taken Rick somewhere, and you expected him to be the next victim, but to your surprise, the door opens and Negan shoves out of the van.
“Rick, do you even know what that little trip was about?”
Rick doesn’t answer; he’s in complete shock.
Negan sighs, “Speak when you’re spoken to.”
“Okay, okay.”
“That trip was about the way you looked at me. I wanted to change that. I wanted you to understand, but you’re still looking at me like that. Like I shit in your scrambled eggs, but that’s not going to work. So... Do I give you another chance?”
“Yeah, yes. Yes.”
“Okay, alright.” Negan smiles. “The grand prize game. What you decide next will be the difference between everyone’s last crap day or just another crap day.”
Negans men step forward and put guns to the back of everyone’s head. Perhaps death would be the better option than being tortured anymore. He was continuing to torment Rick by mocking him and threatening everyone at the same time.
“Kid…” Negan wags his finger in Carl's direction. “Right here. Kid, now.”
Carl glares at him but does as he says.
Negan pulls what looks like a leather belt from the side of his black biker jacket. “Are you a southpaw?”
“A what?”
“You a lefty?”
With nothing but venom in his voice, he answers, “No.”
Negan’s amused by his attitude, “good.” He ties the belt around Carl’s arm. “That hurt?”
“No.”
“Should. It’s supposed to.” Negan steps back, “Get down on the ground, kid, next to daddy. Spread those wings.”
When Carl goes to lay on his stomach on the ground, Negan pushes on his back, forcing him onto the gravel below. “Simon, you got a pen?”
“Yeah,” Simon tosses him a black marker pen.
Negan puts the pen lid in his mouth and starts drawing on Carl's arm. When he’s done, he laughs, looking directly at Rick. “I ain’t doing shit. Rick, I want you to take your axe... cut your son's left arm off, right on that line.”
Rick looks utterly traumatized.
Negan was giving him a horrific ultimatum. Amputate Carl’s arm or watch Carl and everyone else be murdered.
“You don’t have to do this,” Michonne pleads. “We understand, we understand.”
“You understand? Yeah. I’m not sure Rick does. I’m gonna need a clean cut right there in that line. Now I know this is a screwed up thing to ask, but it’s gonna have to be like a salami slice, nothing messy. Clean. Forty-five degrees; give us something to fold over. We’ve got a great doctor; the kid will be fine. Probably.”
Rick looks completely lost in his own head, a thousand times worse than when he went a bit crazy after Lori died.
“Rick... this needs to happen now. Chop, chop. Or I’ll crush the little fella's skull in myself.”
“It can... it can... It can be me. It can be me. You can do it to me.”
“No, this is the only way. Rick picked up the axe. Not making a decision is a big decision. Oh my god, I will start counting. Three!”
“Please, please, I can be me!” Rick cries hysterically.
“Two!”
“Please, don’t do...”
Negan slaps him then grips his jaw. “This is it. One!”
Rick lets out an agonizing sob, then reaches for the axe. You cover your mouth when Rick raises the axe in the air, but right before he can do it Negan stops him. “You answer to me. You provide for me. You belong to me. Right?”
Rick nods.
“Speak when spoken to! You belong to me!”
“Yes.”
“That’s the look I wanted to see.” Negan stands with a proud look on his face. “Well, it took a while, but we got there. Even the dead guys are on the ground. Hell, they get the spirit award for sure. Today was a productive damn day! Now, I hope, for all your sake, you get it now. That you understand how things work. Dwight load him up.”
You try to reach for Daryl’s hand, but they take him. You completely zone out after that, trying to think of any happy memories buried in the back of your mind so you can block what just happened out.
You vaguely hear Maggie say she wants to fight the saviors, but her voice is so far away that it’s hard to register if it’s going on for real or inside your head.
Their blood was still on you.
Looking down, you start scratching at your hands, trying to get the blood that had dried in off your skin.
It’s not until someone’s arms wrap around your shoulders, pulling your hands apart, that you start to snap out of it. “Stop it; you’re going to hurt yourself.”
“I need to get it off.”
“And we will,” Michonne says calmly. “I’m bringing you back to Alexandria. We’ll get you cleaned up.”

slaps herta's ass and runs away
her robots snatch you and dump you in her room like ants, locking the door as they leave you for her to punish
Slapping Madame Herta’s ass is a death wish 💀
You won’t run that far when she commands her army of Mini-Hertas to hunt you down and drag you back to her office, locking the doors and leaving you alone while she walks casually to her desk drawer…
Your fate is sealed when you see Madame Herta pick up some handcuffs and a paddle while slapping it against her hand menacingly.

Can't stop thinking about This prompt/au lol
Tumblr media
I almost like to think that Clockwork kind of half-sent Danny to the ghost-world version of Gotham because he was struggling and is honestly just a kid and could use some guidance. And with how the Observants dislike him to the point of murder, CW sure couldn't keep him in Long Now. But Gotham? Now there's a place that not many go, thanks to curses running amok, a very dangerous City Spirit, and amalgamations of fallen Guardians and Rogues. It's chaotic, dangerous, and a hell of a shot, but the Bat could, and most probably would assist the newborn guardian. The living world and the infinite are intertwined after all, influenced by whatever realm it drifts closest to.
Thankfully Danny seems to be enjoying himself- he has a proper ghost friend now! And he's starting to be able to understand Batblob's cacophony of Silent-EverSilent-Gurgles-DistantWhispers-QuietScreamsSilence easier too without Robin translating. (His Ghost-Speak is getting so good :D) He wishes he could bring Sam & Tucker but it's a little too far into the ghost zone. And the ghosts and Vlad doesn't bother him here! (The last time he tried, unknown to Danny, the older halfa was met with a malicious swarm of teeth and maws ready to rip and tear and not lose another child again-) He's even gotten shown the exits to the living-world's Gotham. Robin likes to ramble about the new and different living-robins and about their friend who was also a robin and who disappeared one day and whose core they carry on their belt. Maybe he can help them find out what happened to him...

Teen spirit
Pairing: Carl Grimes x reader
Warnings: Swearing, mentions of blood
Chapter: 6.07
You silently prayed, holding onto the silver cross Carl gave you while Maggie slept in the bed in the RV. She was in so much pain, and eventually exhaustion had taken over her. The thought of losing her terrified you.
Rick crouches down beside you and gently squeezes your shoulder. “Do you remember the night at the prison when the gate fell down and the walkers got through; it was at the same time everyone was sick with the flu?”
You wipe at your eyes, which now feel sticky with tears. “Yeah?”
“Me, you, and Carl stopped the horde from getting to the people we love.”
“I don’t understand,” you admit.
“You needed to be brave that night, just as you have so many other times. When you shot Ron... Maggie needs you to be brave now.”
“I’m scared I’m going to lose her.”
“I know, but the doctor in Hilltop will take good care of her.” Rick lowers his voice. “It’s not just your sister that needs you; Carl does as well. He’s trying to be strong, but everything that’s happened since we arrived in Alexandria... I know he’s struggling.”
You turn your head and nod, “Okay.”
Rick kisses your forehead and goes to join Sasha, Abraham, Eugene, Aaron, and Carl at the front of the RV, but just as he does, the campervan comes to a sudden halt.
“What’s going on?”
“Enemy close,” Abraham says calmly.
You stand up to look out of the front window to see a group of men with guns standing around a man who is laying on the road who looks as if he’s had a bad beating.
Rick goes to open the door, but pauses and hands you a gun first. “YN, stay here with Maggie. The rest of you are with me.”
You crouch down, trying to keep out of view while watching. It’s hard for you to hear everything that’s being said, but Rick and the other man in charge have a standoff, but surprisingly no bullets are fired.
Carl tilts the blinds to look out of the window, watching as Walker stumbles through the field next to the road. He closes the blinds and looks at Aaron, “Why didn’t you stay back and defend the place?”
You were sitting further up the RV at a small table with Eugene trying to help him look for another route to Hilltop from your current position, but you still had a view of the bed your sister was in, including those sitting next to her.
“I owe her,” Aaron answers, looking at Maggie. “Why did you come?”
“I owe them, plus I need to keep Y/N safe.”
You start to grow nervous when Eugene stops mumbling to himself; you’re afraid there is no other route, and the only other options are to return home and hope for the best, or fight with the men from the saviors and hope for the best. But Eugene finally breaks his silence. “I think I’ve got something.”
“Do you think you could do it?” Abraham asks as he drives the RV along the new route. It was only the two of you sitting up the front, so you weren’t sure where the conversation was coming from since you’d been sitting in silence.
“Do what?”
“Do what Maggie and Glenn did with Carl?”
You laugh at his words, “I’m too young to think about marriage and babies.”
“I may have agreed with you at one point, but now in this new world?” He sees the expression on your face and chuckles to himself, “I’m not saying you get Gabriel to perform a ceremony the moment we go home, but if what you have is special, then never let it go. No matter how old you are.”
You knew Abraham was just trying to distract you from being upset, but you did appreciate it. “The last thing anybody needs is a drunk behind the wheel.”
“You always had a smart mouth on ya, I was starting to miss hearing your shit talk.”
Growing up the way you did, your mother and father always drilled it into you to be polite, respectful, and never swear, and even during the apocalypse, you were afraid something bad would happen if you did. “My daddy would have said you were a bad influence.”
“That’s funny because Glenn said the exact same thing to me last week.” He clears his throat. “Tell you what? Once this is all done and dusted, I’ll teach you how to drive properly so the next time I’m drunk driving, you can take over.”
“Deal.”
A few more moments of silence pass until Abraham turns the corner and you see another group of men with guns blocking the road, “bitch nuts. Y/N, don’t get too close to the window.”
Everyone gathers to stare at the men; you gulp down. If they decided to attack now, it wouldn’t take long for all of you to be dead. Unless Abraham managed to speed away, then our group would easily be overpowered.
“Do we make a stand?” Sasha asks.
“Yeah,” Carl looks at his dad. “We end it.”
“No, we can’t. This is a trap; the moment we step out of the RV, we are dead.”
“With one of us behind a wheel that’s five on sixteen,” Rick adds. “We’re gonna play it our way, how we want.”
Abraham slowly backs the RV up, and when he doesn't, one of the men starts firing into the sky, causing you to flinch, feeling as scared as you did when the men ambushed you, Daryl, Rosita, and Denise.
You start to feel yourself panic, but a hand reaches out and holds onto your wrist. Carl keeps hold of you until you’re far enough away that the gunshots start to fade into the distance.
“Wait, dad, something's not right.”
The saviors were now toying with your group and had set traps up blocking the different roads. They had a row of walkers chained together blocking the road, but it wasn’t until now that you noticed what Carl was so freaked out about.
“Oh my god, that’s Daryl’s.”
One of the walkers had a piece of Michonne attached to the side of its head; the others had clothing that belonged to other members of your group.
Rick goes to stab one of the walkers in the head, but men appear on either side of the road and begin firing at you.
“Everyone into the RV now!”
Carl and Sasha cover Rick while he breaks the blockade of walkers by cutting off their arms, making space for Abraham to drive through. Once you make it back onto the RV, you immediately go to Maggie’s side and notice how much worse she looks.
You place your hand on Maggie’s forehead. “She’s burning up.”
“She’s going to make it,” Carl says, trying to reassure you.
“The Saviors are messing with us for fun. They’ve made sure we know they have our people; they aren’t afraid of walkers, but yet they aren’t killing us.” Each time Abraham drove so far up another road, there would be another blockage preventing you from going any further. They even hung a man and set fire to one of the blockades in front of you. “These people aren’t scared of anything.”
Seeing Maggie start to stir, you take hold of her hand. “Hey, it’s fine. It’s going to be okay.”
“I heard gunshots.”
“It was the Saviors, but it’s fine now.”
The odds were staking up against you, but Eugene came through with a plan. The saviors were waiting to see the RV appearing on the road, so if you waited until nightfall, you would have a better chance of traveling on foot without being seen while he still drives the RV to make them think your group was still on the road.
“Maggie, we are going to get you to the doctor soon,” you smile. “You and baby will be okay.”
Her skin was pale and sweaty, and you didn’t actually believe what you were saying. You had a feeling something terrible was about to happen.
After making a stretcher out of what you could find in the RV, all of you aside from Eugene start to go through the woods. Maggie, being her stubborn self, insisted she walk to Hilltop, but it wasn’t going to happen. You and Carl take out the walkers that get too close while the remaining four people take a corner of the stretcher.
You’re unsure of how long you’ve been walking for when you notice something shining on the ground. “Wait up,” you whisper, bending down to inspect the familiar jewelry. You pick it up but then quickly toss it, feeling the wetness on it. “Rick, Rick.”
He looks over at you with a panicked look in his eyes. “What is it?”
“We need to go back.” You hold up your hand so he can see the blood on it. “Rosita’s earrings; she was wearing them when she left Alexandria—”
Before you can say anything else, you are cut off by multiple people whistling. This whole thing was a trap, even the way the jewelry was laid out was so easy to find. The Saviors just wanted to torment as many people as they could.
“Go! Go!”
You take off running through the woods until a bright light blinds you, and you’re suddenly surrounded by saviors and different vehicles, making it impossible to run away from them. All of them were whistling.
Holding your gun, you stand with your back to Maggie, prepared to shoot anyone who tries to hurt her.
The man called Simon, who Rick spoke with earlier, appears and points his gun at Carl, ordering all of you to hand over your weapons. This was the first time you’d ever seen Rick look terrified, and that’s how you knew you were screwed.
“Y/N,” Carl’s face turns pale as he notices the blood soaking through your shirt.
“I know.”
Between running and being forced down onto your knees by the saviors, the stitches from your stab wound had pulled, and your wound was now bleeding.
“Hey, hey,” Abraham gets your attention. “Show them no goddamn fear.”
You wanted to be brave like them, but you weren’t. You felt completely helpless while you watched them force Maggie onto her knees.
A van door is opened, and Michonne, Rosita, Glenn, and Daryl are dragged from it, then forced onto the ground beside the rest of you. Simon gleefully knocks on the RV door, “Alright, let’s meet the man.”
Through teary eyes, you meet Carl’s gaze. The two of you were on opposite ends of the line-up. You were now kneeling on the ground between Glenn and Rosita.
The door opens, and a dark-haired man with a wide grin walks out, “Pissing our pants yet?”
Satan in a Sunday hat.
“Boy, so I gave a feeling we’re getting close.” The man walks back and forth along the line, sizing everyone up while holding a wooden basketball bat that had barbed wire wrapped around it. “It’s gonna be pee-pee pants city here real soon. Which one you pricks is the leader?”
“It’s this one,” Simon points to Rick. “He’s the guy.”
The man sighs, “Hi, you’re Rick, right? I’m Negan. And I do not appreciate you killing my men. Also, when I sent my people to kill your people for killing my people, you killed more of my people. Not cool. Not cool. You have no idea how not cool that shit is. But I think you’re gonna be up to speed shortly. Yeah. You are so gonna regret crossing me in a few minutes.”
You silently start to pray again, taking hold of the small silver cross between your fingers.
“You see, stick to whatever you do; no matter what, you don’t mess with the new world order. And the new world order is this: And it’s really very simple. So, even if you’re stupid, which you very well may be, you can understand it. Are you ready? Here goes, pay attention.” He points his bat in Rick's face, “Give me your shit, or I will kill you. Today was career day. We invested a lot so you would know who I am and what I can do. You work for me now. You have shit; you give it to me. That’s your job.”
While Negan continues to taunt your group, your eyes move along every single person who you know is considered family. Everyone was crying and shaking aside from Abraham and Carl.
Negan keeps repeating that he wants half your group's supplies, but that wouldn’t be enough.
“So if someone knocks on your door, you let us in. We own that door. You try to stop us, and we will knock it down. Understand?” Negan mockingly puts his hand up to his ear, “What, no answer?”
Negan reminds you of the governor.
“You don’t really think that you were gonna get through this without being punished, now did you?” Negan shakes his head. “I don’t wanna kill you people. Just want to make that clear from the get-go. I want you to work for me.”
Just like the governor wanted you all the live together at one point.
“You can’t do that if you’re dead, now, can you? I’m not growing a garden, but you killed my people—a whole damn lot of them. More than I’m comfortable with. And for that—for that you’re going to pay.”
An eye for an eye.
“So now, I’m gonna beat the holy hell out of one of you.”
The crazy bastard introduces his baseball bat as Lucille, Negan is crazy. He stands in front of Abraham and seems amused when Abraham holds his gaze and rises up on his knees. Chucking Negan moves down the line and points at Carl, “You had one of our guns.”
Carl says nothing.
Negan crouches in front of him. “You got a lot of our guns. Shit, kid, lighten up. At least cry a little.”
He starts to walk back up the line and stops in front of Maggie. “Jesus, you look shitty. I should just put you out of your misery.”
The second Negan lifts the bat up, both you and Glenn yell for him to stop. Glenn tries to reach Maggie but is pinned down to the ground by a savior.
“Nope. Nope, get him back in line,” Negan says, sounding like an unimpressed parent. “Don’t any of you do that again. I will shut that shit down, no exceptions. First ones free; it’s an emotional moment; I get it.”
You press your palm against your side in a poor attempt to stop it hurting so much, which Negan notices. He laughs, “Jesus Rick, you could have at least made it harder for me. Half your camp looks as if it’s dying off already.”
You want to cry but don’t allow yourself to, not anymore. Giving Negan the satisfaction would be more painful than the wound itself. He points to your side with his bad, “What the hell happened to you?”
“One of your men stabbed me.”
“One of my men stabbed you? A kid?” He kneels down with a smirk on his face. “So you know I have men that can and will fight for me. What does that tell you?”
“It tells me you have men who take the easy option and stab a little girl rather than actually putting up a real fight.”
His smile disappears. Negan just stares at you for a few moments until he suddenly stands and looks back over at Carl, who was glaring at him. “I’ve been trying to put two and two together, but I think I now get it; this is your little girlfriend.” He turns back to look at Rick, “And this must be your kid; you have a similar evil eye.”
“That’s enough!”
“Do not make me kill the little future serial killer; don’t make it easy on me. I gotta pick somebody, and everybody is at the table waiting for their order.”
Negan starts whistling while trying to decide who to kill.
