I just rewatched David Tennant’s doctor regeneration into Matt Smith scene and I totally forgot that the Ood sing him a song as he goes. It’s one of the first times in a long time where he’s alone it’s Christmas, he’s scared and struggling to stand and “the universe sings him to sleep”. Even when he doesn’t have a companion the whole universe sings him to sleep, he’s never truly alone the universe is thanking him for his sacrifice and care in his last moments.

There will be maybe one or two people who will enter your life and leave their mark on you throughout your lifetime. Those kind of encounters you never forget them.

Was thinking about fan art where Siffrin has a Loop Plush™️ and I started wondering, what's a realistic context for that? Like would they make it, or ask Isabeau to make it, or just happen to find something that looks similar to Loop while out shopping?
And I realized that actually... I do headcanon that star-headed figures are part of the island's mythology, along the lines of angels. So. There would be artwork of them out there. Quite a bit of it on the island, but surely some could be found in other countries as well, suddenly lacking context. Perhaps anyone who had learned about the Universe and its star children would get a bit of a headache looking at them, and/or a rewind-forget, but anyone who didn't know enough to even make that connection would be fine and could enjoy them as a pretty, almost-abstract oddity.
Siffrin, trying to find some normalcy post-canon. Going to antique stores with Odile. Finding a worn child's toy tucked away in a back corner, and its lightless body is embroidered with careful patterns of dots, and its head is darkless and pointed with beads for wide eyes.
And for a moment, he recognizes it. Not as Loop, but as a hundred things — paintings and statues and drawings and costumes and figurines — helper and friend and child and self and guide — and then. The thought is gone. And the dusty old toy just looks like Loop, and he has no idea why and how this resemblance could possibly have happened.

Do I know the names of each moon phase? No. But do I know where the moon is in her cycle? Do I glance up at her every night just to check in? Do I keep in mind if the shadow we cast on her is growing or decreasing right now? Can I predict when the full or new moon will be based on where she is in her current unnamed phase? YES! And that's the thing, humans have named natural phenomenon a million different things a million different times. None of which matters to the phenomenon itself. To have a relationship with nature, the universe, the earth. You don't need to spend all this extra time memorizing scientific names. Instead, spend that time and effort observing. Noticing. Tracking. Even if you make up your own words on accident, the moon can't tell the difference. Even if you falter, and forget to check in for a week, a month, a year. The moon never leaves. She'll always be up in the sky, either shrouded in darkness invisibly watching over us or brightly lit up like our other friend the sun. Whenever you want to reconnect and glance up she'll be there. Stressing about tracking her every move will only strain your relationship. Stressing about memorizing just one set of the many names people have put onto her cycle will only strain your relationship. Stressing about full moon celebrations that may or may not fit into your schedule or come naturally to you is only going to strain your relationship. Do what feels natural, do what makes sense for you and makes you happy. There is no right way to be pagan. There is only what you feel in your heart to be true. This goes for literally everything btw
