RAHHHH I LOVE WHEN I GET ASKED ABOUT MY FREAKSSS

Kieran's an Urban Explorer and amateur traceur who founded the Gotham Strays with a handful of his friends. They started as a *relatively* normal group of young adults living in Gotham who got their kicks out of trespassing, vandalism, and petty theft. CONT. VVV

One of Kieran's close friends, Vincent, convinced him to help convert the group into a gang of freelance henchmen that aimed to work for higher-level crime bosses (the rogues) to earn a larger pool of money to share among themselves and the young adults and teens living on the street that they cared for. They all donned animal-themed aliases, and Kieran chose The Mouse, cuz he uses his size and skills to break in-and-out of places undetected. When the group sent out contract offers, he was Not chosen by any of the Rogues, but since Riddler technically didn't send his contract back, he decided to ask him directly if he could work with him. After getting caught in a trap Riddler set for him (he was NOT happy that Kieran was able to break into his workshop without him realizing) he got himself out and basically begged for a job. Riddler eventually agreed, and now he's Maze and spends every day trying to impress a man who is Never impressed. THAT'S MAZE!

I JUST STARTED WORKING ON IT SO I DONT HAVE MUCH YET but so far, I know I want to have a much younger Bruce/Batman and older "Core" rogues (Riddler, Penguin, etc.) that would be challenged by young, disillusioned criminals that want to take their territory. This would mainly be a set-up for my Strays (the gang Kieran and Vincent started) to infiltrate the inner workings of the individual Rogue's operations to sabotage them from the inside. This would end up being a sort of three-way-conflict as a young Batman faces off with these seasoned criminals that have ravaged Gotham since before he was around, as well as Rogues his own age that, while taking down these massive criminal operations, aren't doing so to Stop them, but to overtake them. Basically a reason to have like a "New Gen" Rogues Gallery made up of my ocs jfksjfs all Very self indulgent 😌 I want a ton of Gotham night life, focusing on how young people cope and exist in the city. Absolutely inspired by episode 3 of The Penguin, I loved that exploration of how young Gothamites survive day to day with the rampant drugs and dangerous activities to avoid thinking about how dire it really is out there. I want each of my Rogues to specifically express a common fear of young adults. Vincent is the fear of leading an "unsatisfying" life, Kieran is struggle with self-worth and addiction, etc.

So far, everything is set up to Adder betrayer her gang and locking them into a vault that had a faulty reactor that explodes. Killing everyone except Crowe, which becomes instantly ghoul.

The Strays on Netflix was very good.. One of my favorites. I wish I could talk about it but I don't know how properly to explain being the product of a second unhappy marriage that was subsequently abandoned when it was through. To know of my half-siblings that were abandoned. To be victimized and traumatized until you begin to emulate that enviornment yourself. When the normal life you wanted is uncomfortable because you feel like an animal playing dress up around the pretty-folk. To be so demonized by your own color and to be agitated by your own reflection. The guilt and the weight of not knowing a better way.

The experiment were hm. "Acquired" from two separate orphanages (experimental design required they didn't know each other before the experiment) and pretty much isolated until they came of age and were made to sign their consent to the experiment (which of course is a totally ethical way of doing this /s). No known family for either of them.

The pet is missing, presumed dead but may have some family somewhere out there? He doesn't know for sure, and certainly doesn't think they'd want him back.

The gladiator was straight-up sold by her own family. We don't need this extra one and out very trustworthy business partner might have some use for her, it's a win-win, right?

Of course in time they all become family <3
