I had a dream that Apollo was training Briseis to become a warrior with divine strength. I don't remember the why, or how he got access to her, though.

Sounds like one Helll of an AU, no? She might not be able to save Troy (because fate), but she could avenge it by killing Greeks. She could even be the one to kill Achilles (she deserves her revenge, for being made a sex slave). Or, like Aeneas, she could later travel further into Europe, and be the ancestor to some great tribe, maybe even an empire.

I think, I'll put this idea on my notes (or dream journal, at least). What's with me recieving story concepts in dreams, when I already have an ungodly amount of wips.

Sarah, if she even has consciousness at this point, is probably thinking at least her dear, handsome son is studying at a great university and doing better than her; while Harry could only wish that his dear mother is doing much better than how him and his friends are doing.

Introducing DR E. WARREN

(Just call them Warren.)

As a 16 year old desperate for cash and to get away from a bad home, Warren agreed to join a medical trial, but unknown to them it was luring from the Oblivion Project operating under the Ministry of Joy for something far worse- Experimenting with Void on human subjects.

As the only survivor, they spent years recovering from the physical and mental trauma, but they weren't catching a break yet. With the connection to the Void remaining, the Lord of Darkness had access to their mind, silently influencing them to further his own pursuits (which I talk a little more about Here).

Eventually they were free of his influence, but by that point 12 years had passed, and they found themself working as a biochemical scientist and researcher working with Oblivion, and making it to the very role of the people who experimented on them...

...They don't like to talk about their history too much, especially not those early days of working under the Ministry of the Lord of Darkness.

Now though, they act as Head of the Oblivion Project, and have been a leading force in the push for high ethical standards of practice and making strides in medical research using Void.

They also met an unfortunate demise and subsequent revival as a result of some... Encounters related to the Invitation, but does it really matter if the one in charge of Oblivion also happens to be a vampire?

Personally I don't see a problem with it.

They also have a giant Void lizard named Gus (short for Gustopher)

Oh man if you are having fun with the english server already you'll love the stories that will never get a translation because theyre from the previous era, from before enstars was a rhythm game. The anime doesnt come close to doing them justice (or just doesnt feature them at all), but theyre invaluable to understanding the story. It's a lot to read but soooo worth it if youre here for the story. I can help you navigate the wayback machine to access what was taken down from the wiki and give recommendations of translation sites if you need^_^ i love it when people get into enstars for the story Yippee

But yes! I've seen the instructions for the wayback and hope to use it someday (archive.org is a lifesaver. Everyone say thank you to it). I just am a little lost on what stories I should definitely read (I've poked around and seen I should basically read the main story arcs, Repayment Festival, and Setsubun (spelling?), then I'm free to go wild). But I would seriously love if you could give me story recs and/or direct me to a guide, translators, etc. Obviously if it's not too much trouble (and thank you so much for the offer!)

OP I'm gunna use your post to dump a what if idea which I'm kind of torn on exploring, but I wanna see if anybody thinks it's interesting (also this is such a cool observation! I at first assumed Angel was just wiping away drool or something from his mouth, I don't know HOW I didn't make the connection that this is a metaphor for him literally trying to wipe away the 'poision' Val is infecting him with. Hazbin might not be my fav fandom anymore but god is this a perfect bit of show don't tell in story telling!)

So I know I've stated somewhere that, in reality, I've never been that fussed over Hazbin ships. All ships are kinda just eh to me and I don't really dislike any one of them more than the rest: but Angel x Vox has always scratched my brain

Back when we only had the insta accounts to get info from the V's, there was one post from Vox where he had a broken TV screen and (I can't remember word for word what was said in the post) I believe in the post itself it said "F*ck you Val" or something. Implying that Valention treated him with the same level of violence as he does Angel

Valentino see's people as things, Angel even refers to himself as "his favourite toy" in the show. Other demons are just Val's play things, and while I do like the dynamic between the V's in the show, and while it is of course awful what Val does (warnings for serious SA and general abuse), I think there is potential for an interesting story if the dynamic between Val and Vox was kept how it was on the Instagram pages

Valentino views demons as play things, things to amuse him, and Vox is a business man, a seller, one who prides on upholding a certain image and reputation. He does NOT like being seen as lesser. Vox one day leaving Val or being dumped by him because Val grew tired of him, Vox somehow running into Angel who has taken permeant residency under the hotel (and for story sake lets say he's under Charlie's official protection or whatever so Val can't touch him) and the two bond over their collective experience being in an abusive relationship with the same monster

This would lead to Vox and Angel, at some point, becoming somewhat friends who confine in each other, perhaps leading to word spreading that Vox is involved with the residents of the Happy Hotel and his reputation going down hill. With no where to go, Vox ends up begrudgingly moving into the hotel, where over time and after learning to let down their walls and be real, Vox and Angel grow more and more comfortable around the other because they both know what it's like to be treated as a toy before being thrown away when you're no longer amusing. Even if neither are prepared to admit they appreciate the others support

Time passes bitter enemies turn to frenemies to wary friends to very caring friends till both share a very conflicting moment of realisation that hey, maybe they both CAN be in a healthy relationship with someone and are both worthy of being treated with respect, despite being in hell

I noticed some interesting symbolism.

You see how at the end of his musical number Angel worryingly wipes the "poison" that is dripping from his mouth right...?

Well, what do we see next..?

Yeah...Vox and Angel may not be that different when it comes to their relationship with Valentino
