What if I, a midwestern university student, started posting about The Spook School, a relatively unknown Scottish queercore band who are making a brief comeback but have otherwise been broken up since 2019. What if I start spook school posting in the year of our lord 2023
Just saw my twee.net layout post get reblogged by a TERF and had to block immediately as soon as I saw what was being reblogged to her page outside of aesthetic stuff! Just putting it out there again that I will not tolerate people like this interacting with my posts and that trans people are absolutely welcome to join me in my nostalgic indiepop fantasies.
Last week I listened to spook school's Could It Be Different? because I thought they were the support at the concert tonight but I think I was just a bit confused and they're not? Anyway, it was a good album! I knew less than perfect slapped but I was also a fan of I Only Dance When I Want To and Body. 3.5/5

Records here in blighty), Adam Todd of new synth-pop super-group Get Wrong – a duo between himself and Naomi…
Things said about The Spook School: Absolutely excellent queer Scottish indiepop.

Things said about Search the City: okayokayokay so I actually found them because I was looking for the song Syndicate by The Fray and I saw a song called Syndicated Reality and BAM. I WAS HOOKED. I was a tiny little gay going through my first major breakup, and their album Flight just... HIT. So I loved them, they were my little band that nobody else seemed to know about. And then one day Spotify took Flight off. So I had to buy it, although their other album that DID stay on Spotify was pretty damn good too. But Flight was always my favorite. I mean, it's back on Spotify now SO. They don't make music together anymore, but they mess with us on FB sometimes and I know this is weird and I'm rambling but I love Search the City so much and I wouldn't be the same without them
