"The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Adventures" Video Game idea
With "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" turning 25 years old on November 19th of this year, I have this idea for a "SpongeBob SquarePants" video game that Purple Lamp Studios should develop.
TITLE
"The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Adventures"
ESRB RATING
Probably E or E10+, you decide.
PREMISE
You play through the events of SpongeBob's adventures on the big screen, from his first movie to the upcoming "SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 5: Search for SquarePants" (that or higher depending on if it'll ever be made).
The events of SpongeBob TV movies like "Atlantis SquarePantis", "Pest of the West", "WhoBob WhatPants?" (albeit rewritten), "SpongeBob VS. The Big One", and "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout", as well as spin-off movies like the upcoming "Saving Bikini Bottom: A SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" could be available as possible DLC levels.
GAMEPLAY
Like the latest SpongeBob video game, "The Cosmic Shake", the game would be an open-world sandbox game where you can explore the locations from the theatrical films. Unlike "The Cosmic Shake", the costumes you unlock for SpongeBob (and Patrick, depending on if he should be playable for all the movie adventures) have special abilities you can spend Goofy Goober dollars on. For instance, by completing the storyline of the first movie, you'll unlock SpongeBob's Goofy Goober Rock attire, which allows SpongeBob flight mode and perform his sonic wave guitar while hovering. He can also fire blue lightning bolts. For another example, by completing the storyline for "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 3: Sponge Out of Water", you'll unlock SpongeBob's Invincibubble form, which allows SpongeBob some sort of bubble-themed upgrades. Other costumes can be unlocked as just cosmetics, even after wearing them once depending on the level, like SpongeBob's visor glasses (even though they were black and purple in the original version of the first movie's licensed video game) when he fights the movie version of King Neptune, who is under Plankton's mind control via his Bucket Helmet.
(NOTE: The only thing I debate on with this idea is if you play the movie in their chronological order, or if the player should be given the creative freedom to play any movie's events in the order they choose.)
CREATIVE CHANGES
For the badly received movies like "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 2: Truth or Square" and "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 4: Sponge on the Run" (and some of the badly received TV movies), I have a list of changes I would make for those movies to connect the movies better, but still be faithful to its original source material.
For "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 2: Truth or Square", simply have the 2nd movie take place about a day or so after SpongeBob was given his new manager position at the end of the first movie. It would be revealed that Plankton escaped from prison and is plotting revenge for SpongeBob and Patrick ruining his Plan Z.
For "The SpongeBob SqaurePants Movie 4: Sponge on the Run", SpongeBob will not have problems being courageous. And instead of Plankton arranging for Gary's kidnapping (since "Sponge Out of Water" confirmed Plankton's heel-face turn, despite the ending and post-credits scene.), Dennis will have kidnapped Gary instead (just have Dennis be voiced by whoever can do a good impression of Alec Baldwin). On top of that, all the "Kamp Koral" references will be removed. Because of this, Sandy reveals that she first met SpongeBob when he rescued her from the clam she was wrestling with (from "Tea in the Treedome") instead of first meeting each other at camp. Squidward (who by this point no longer gets mad at SpongeBob and Patrick's antics) shows his rock-hard abs from the last movie, and tells everyone about how SpongeBob came through for him at the Bubble Bowl (a reference to the episode, "Band Geeks".). Patrick reveals how he's always known SpongeBob since they were babies (a reference to the episode, "The Secret Box"). And even Mr. Krabs reveals how great of a fry cook SpongeBob's been since the anchovies stormed the Krusty Krab (a reference to the premiere episode, "Help Wanted"), and after SpongeBob returned the movie Neptune's Crown, Mr. Krabs no longer acts as the stingy tightwad he once was after being frozen. Another change I would make for SpongeBob and Patrick to never argue, not once, as it was really pointless.
With the DLC level based on "WhoBob WhatPants?", simply rewrite the story with Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, and Mr. Krabs never getting angry at SpongeBob. Instead, SpongeBob will have won a trip to New Kelp City, but gets lost while trying to find the airport and loses his memory, not knowing he wound up in New Kelp City.
(I have a bunch of other creative liberties I would take. To view them, click here to visit the page.)
MULTIPLAYER
For the game's multiplayer mode, I was thinking some mini-games would be based on some of the challenges from the first movie's licensed video game, like the combat challenges, SpongeBob's ball challenge levels, and Patrick's platforming challenges. But there can be other challenges too, with some of them supporting 4 players.
This is all I've got, but while I may early to celebrate SpongeBob's 25th anniversary, I still think this would be a great video game if Nickelodeon or even the folks at THQNordic or Purple Lamp Studios took the time to read my idea. If you guys have additional ideas for this post, feel free to comment your suggestions.

2021 New Year’s Resolutions
It's January 2021. Time for the yearly resolutions. Time for an introduction for those new to the blog and a list of goals to keep me motivated.
My name’s Adam. I watch movies. A lot of movies. Preferably, it's on a big screen with a bag of buttered popcorn in one hand and a cup of soda in the other but I’ll take the home theater if it’s the only option offered. I always stick all the way until the end of the credits, always give films the benefit of the doubt, turn off my phone once it begins, and do my best to “do my homework” beforehand. If there’s a sequel, a remake, a prequel, etc. I track the originals down, watch and review them to get a solid foundation for a review.
For several years after college, I worked at a video rental store. I doubt I’ll ever find a job I enjoyed more but graphic design and illustration are serious contenders. The blog graphics are a way to give me illustration-related deadlines, which is a must if you want to keep your skills sharp.
Looking back at my Resolutions for 2020, I fared ok. Considering the theaters in my city shut down in February, opened for a couple of weeks during the fall, and then closed up again with no sign of the doors unlocking anytime soon, I managed well. Still haven’t seen Tenet and some of the other noteworthy titles like The Witches or The New Mutants but I’m hoping to catch up on them - along with some of the best movies of 2020 this month. You can expect my Best of/Worst of list at the end of January.
Here is a list of reviews you can (hopefully) look forward to on the blog. They all have sequels, remakes, spinoffs, etc. coming:
Candyman (1992), Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1995), and Candyman: Day of the Dead (1999)
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015)
The Witches (1990)
Rush Hour (1998), Rush Hour 2 (2001) & Rush Hour 3 (2007)
Beverly Hills Cop (1984), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), and Beverly Hills Cop 3 (1994)
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), and perhaps the delightfully bad 1987 animated film as well
The Croods (2013)
Tom & Jerry (1992) - there are a number of direct-to-video films as well but I’m choosing to give spare myself from those
Mortal Kombat (1995), Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997), and Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011)
One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961), 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure (2003), 101 Dalmatians (1996), and 102 Dalmatians (2000)
Top Gun (1986)
Space Jam (1996)
Suicide Squad (2016), Batman: Assault on Arkham (2014), Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018) - I’ve seen and reviewed these before but I feel the revisit them, particularly the live-action film...
A Hard Day’s Night (1964), Help! (1965), Magical Mystery Tour (1967), Yellow Submarine (1968), Let It Be (1970) - these might be harder to track down but I might just buy them on DVD instead of renting them
Addams Family Values (1993)
West Side Story (1961)
Coming to America (1988)
Jackass: The Movie (2002), Jackass Number Two (2006), Jackass 3D (2010)
Finally, we come to the drawing portion of the goals. Last year, I managed to create 20 new blog graphics, up from 19 the year before but down from my original goal. In 2021, I’m aiming for a new one every 2 weeks. Wish me luck.

Top 10 Cartoon Characters that Would Be Hilarious Wielding The Infinity Gauntlet
With Endgame in theaters I decided to make a list of Top 10 Cartoon Characters who would be hilarious wielding the Infinity Gauntlet-yo all know 5 likes get’s a part 2
10.Spongebob Squarepants-Starting off I believe if the sponge who lives in a pineapple under the seas wielded the Infinity Gauntlet he might snap his fingers and wish every to have a krabby patty.....or Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy’s youth, you never know
9.Po-Another hilarious choice,Po the Dragon Warrior-if he could fit the Gauntlet-would probably snap his fingers for endless dumplings
8.King Julien-Let’s be real Julien would definitely snap his fingers and wish all the music he hates would disappear from existence
7.Psyduck-Out of the new movie,Psyduck,or the reason I know him, might snap all the water out of reality, and in doing so would destroy life as we know it....yikes
6.Star Butterfly-I’m gonna be dreadfully real,if there was no choice Star would probably snap her fingers and erase all the Evil from existence, what I’d do to be honest
5.Gargamel-Truth is,he might snap his fingers and wish for all the smurfs either in the pot or gone from existence
4.Darth Vader-The most dark lord of the Sith would definitely erase both the Jedi and the Sith from existence while also wanting to bring Padme back from the dead
3.Twilight Sparkle-Same as Star if Twi had no other choice she might of wished all the evil magic away from Equestria so she could save her friends and all of Equestria
2.Brain-This experimented on Mouse would probably snap his fingers erasing all of the world’s rulers from existence making him supreme ruler of the world
1.Pinkie Pie-Actually the Most hilarious of all-she would use her ‘Pinkie Powers’ to probably throw a huge party......IN THE 4TH WALL!!!!

The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge
My favorite character is back on the big screen for his third movie im so happy for this!!!
The poster features the updated esthetics for the patty flipper underwater, showing on the large screen the recent foray of the character into CGI animation.
In SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge, the third SpongeBob SquarePants movie based on the iconic animated series of Nickelodeon, reads, SpongeBob and Patrick go on a rescue mission to save Gary, who was kidnapped by Poseidon and taken to Atlantic City's Lost City. The film will show our beloved characters (as children) meeting at Camp for the first time... a magical moment that brings meaning to the strength of real friendship. The film will be a complete journey!
The film will be the third in the series with The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie having been released in 2004 and its sequel, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, in 2015. The showing of Spongebon it's a wonderful sponge will be on May 3 (My Birthday 💛).

Hey!! Tell me about SpongeBob! I'm really curious
Well, this shall be the infodump post I said I’d make last week
Honestly, I think the reason I love the show so much is the character of SpongeBob himself. He’s an innocent adult with a childlike personality who’s just happy the way he is. He has a low paid job, but he’s happy because that’s his dream that he wouldn’t trade for the world. The premise for the show is basic, he’s a sponge working in a fast food place. But the premise works!
I also really love the lighthearted feel of the show (though sure, it has some dark episodes, lookin’ at you, “Ink Lemonade”!), and the humour style. Lately, there’s even been a lot of callbacks to the original 3 seasons with a lot of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it references for older fans (heck, he even sings his own theme song now)
Yeah, it’s a show people claim is for kids, but I honestly don’t care. It’s a show that I’ve loved for over a decade. It’s helped me through hard times, when I was really struggling with something, SpongeBob provided me with an escape, even for 10 minutes
I’m also cautiously excited for the third movie. Not gonna lie, the plot idea of him meeting the other characters at a summer camp doesn’t sound great, but we only know basic details at the moment, and it’s just how the movie opens (plus, I’m willing to believe they actually just meant to say how he first met Patrick.) I’ve seen The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and Sponge Out Of Water countless times now
The history of the show is quite interesting too. It was originally going to be called “SpongeBoy Ahoy!”, and SpongeBob was going to look like an actual sea sponge until creator Stephen Hillenburg drew him in a square shape and realised this really suited him. He even wanted Tom Kenny to voice the character right from the start. Even before the series started, Hillenburg already created a comic called “The Intertidal Zone”, hosted by a character called Bob the Sponge, though this one was a realistic sponge, rather than the square one we see today
As for my favourite season, I’ve got to say Season 9. I think it’s got the most interesting storylines, and at least 2 of my top 10 favourite episodes come from this season (What’s Eating Patrick?, Bulletin Board), as well as other great episodes. As for my second favourite season, definitely Season 2. This one has classics such as Band Geeks, Something Smells etc
Heck, I even used to collect a lot of SpongeBob merchandise that former producer Paul Tibbitt said was impressive, calling me a super-fan. I’d say one of the most prized possessions in the collection is a picture of SpongeBob and Patrick signed by Tom Kenny and Bill Faggerbakke - can’t get much better than that
Okay, I could say much more but I don’t wanna make this post too long! But if you all are interested in hearing me say more, then maybe I will

Top 10 Most Annoying Cartoon Characters
Cartoon characters can be funny. They can be heroes. And yes, they can be annoying. Here are the most annoying characters in the history of animation. 10) Spongebob Squarepants: Spongebob Squarepants
Spongebob is different than the others on this list for one reason. He was created to be annoying. Even his theme song was created to be loud and obnoxious, so as to wake up parents, as the kids screamed bounced around the room, singing about a freaking sponge! There have been questions about Spongebob's sexuality. People wonder if he is gay. I have the answer. Spongebob is a FUCKING SPONGE! 9) Olive Oyl: Popeye Cartoons
Besides having an annoyingly annoying voice, Olive's sole purpose in her cartoon life is to get Popeye to fight with Bluto. I mean the poor guy's got a fucking eye missing. I don't even think he has any teeth. He's bald smokes a cheap ass corn-cob pipe. Bluto comes along and wants her scrawny ass. He's huge, muscular, has a nice head of hair and can bend steel bars without the aid of a can of spinach. He can get any babe he wants. Yet he wants Miss Stringbean here. She's happy to go with Bluto, but in her evil mind, she knows she's gonna piss Popeye off & force him to chew on that disgusting veggie. He'll then pummel poor Bluto into a pulp. And like a dope, Popeye accepts the fact that she used Bluto to make him jealous. She's evil & annoying. A bad combination. 8) Orbity: The Jetsons
Do you remember the Brady Bunch? Do you remember when the show was nearing the end & they brought in the Brady cousin Oliver? You know, the blond kid with the big glasses. He had smart ass remarks & was un-Brady like in every way. Do you remember what happened to the show after Oliver's first appearance? Yes, it went right down the shitter. Well, in the world of the Jetsons, they had a cousin Oliver & his name was Orbity. Orbity was a little alien that had springs for legs. He made little stupid noises instead of talking. Orbity made his appearance when the Jetsons came back for all new episodes almost 20 years after their first run. The show ran straight for 18 years with only 24 episodes. Yet, they decided that the Jetsons needed a new character to bring it into the "future" of television. Sure, the Jetsons had a pet already, but he was just a dog. A dog that talked! Sure, he talked like he had a mouth full of buffalo balls, but he fucking talked! Orbity couldn't do that. He bounced around & got into trouble. Oh Orbity, you little minx. You're so cute...and annoying. 7) Snarf: Thundercats
Snarf snarf snarf! Snarf Snarf! Yes, if you know the name, you know the annoying way he said "Snarf!" every three seconds. Snarf was the "bodyguard" of a young Lion-o. Lion-O was just a kid, when the show started, but less than an episode later, he would be full grown & become the leader of the Thundercats. Lion-O could kick major ass with his sword, yet Snarf was always there following him around. "Snarf! Snarf snarf!!" There's a famous tape going around of bloopers from the Thundercats. In one of them, Snarf is talking to Lion-O. "But Lion-O, what are we going to do? Snarf!" To which Lion-O answers, "Shut the fuck up." Yes Snarf, shut the fuck up. 6) H.E.R.B.I.E.: The Fantastic Four
Sure, lots of people hate the recent Fantastic Four movies. But you must be thankful that H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot wasn't in either of them. H.E.R.B.I.E. was added to the FF for their 1978 cartoon series. They needed him to replace the Human Torch, as the Torch was going to be used in a separate tv series, which never aired (and not for the rumored reason that little dumb kids would light themselves on fire). H.E.R.B.I.E. stands for Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics. Kind of stupid, isn't it? But not as stupid as H.E.R.B.I.E.. Yes, even the idea of a robot given a Jewish name was not original (Get Smart had Hymie), but I just wonder who decided to replace the Human Torch with a robot. And not even a cool robot. He had no friggin powers!! He floated around and was supposed to be some sort of genius. Excuse me, but Reed Richards is a SUPER-GENIUS!! Annoying & useless. 5) Orko: He-Man & the Masters of the Universe
Okay, so take Snarf. Make him float. Give him a wizards cap & cloak, but take away his face. Now, give him magic powers that are utterly useless. Oh, the hilarity! Oh, the annoyance. Orko had a voice that was kind of like Alvin from the Chipmunks, if Alvin had gargled with liquid helium. Throw in the fact that he was comedy relief that was neither comedy nor relief and you got #5 on the list. 4) Newton: The Mighty Hercules
"What are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do?" The Jimmy Two-Times of the cartoon world. Newton was a centaur who used to follow Hercules around. Naturally, he'd get in trouble and Herc would have to save his horse's ass of an ass. Now sure, we have tons of shows where the comic relief character would have to be saved by the hero, but almost none as annoying as Newton (check out numbers 2 & 1 for the winners in this category). Not only did Newton have this double talk, but he seemed to run into trouble, although he should have seen it right away. Later on in the series, they introduced Newton's partner, Toot. Toot was a satyr who, instead of speaking, would toot on a little pan flute. Now, you would think that Toot would beat Newton when it came to being annoying. But Toot was actually helpful in most cases. Although I will never forgive Toot for the time when he woke up a knocked out Newton, by splashing water in his face, by spitting it out of his flute. Let Newton sleep Toot! Let him sleep!! Trivia: Newton was voiced by Jack Mercer, who also voiced Popeye. Why, Jack, why? 3) Scrappy Doo: The Scooby & Scrappy Doo Puppy Hour
Pu-pu-pu-puppy Power! Pu-pu-pu-piss!!! Oh look! He looks like Scooby Doo, but smaller! He's cute! Oh, I just want to squeeze him until his fucking eyeballs pop out his head! Look, everyone hates Scrappy Doo. Jar-Jar Binks hates him. Even Scooby & the Gang hates him. And the reason is simple, he did not partake in the herb! We know Scooby was smoking up! He & Shaggy would go looking for snacks, while Scrappy was just interested in solving the case & kicking ass. The problem was Scrappy just wouldn't mellow out with a few trees. Puff puff puffy power mutha fucka! Every episode I waited for someone to punt that dog like a football. He was even the same color as a football, shit brown! 2) Uni: Dungeons & Dragons
Waaaaaaaaa! I hate Uni. I hate you Uni. I want Uni to die. I want Uni to die a slow painful death. Uni is the champion of annoying characters that would get into trouble to have to be saved by the kids. The whole show was based on the story that the kids were trying to get home to the real world. This fictional piece of shit would constantly ruin their chances, time & time again. He was a mythological creature! Kill him! Kill him!! Right behind Uni was an almost equally annoying character, Bobby. Bobby was a Barbarian. Bobby would do anything to protect this flea ridden diaper eating pointy headed horse. Even ruin the chance for his friends to get back to their homes. Fuck you Bobby, & fuck you Uni. Die! Die! Die!
1. Elmyra: Tiny Toon Adventures
Remember how I wanted Uni to die? Well, I want to cut off Uni’s horn & impale Elmyra right in her goddamn face. Easily the most annoying character ever created with the most annoying voice ever. Spongebob was created to be annoying, but he was funny. Elmyra was created to be annoying & I’d like to kick her head off her neck like a football. She’s not funny. She’s not amusing. She’s horrible. I hope the person who created her is dead. I hope the person who voiced her is dead. Can you tell I don’t like her?

"The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" 20th Anniversary retrospective
20 years ago, Spongebob made his debut on the big screen. And from what I understand from the fanbase, this movie was meant to be the series finale until the overwhelmingly positive critical and box office reception encouraged Nickelodeon to continue the series, and even allowing Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies to make more sequels to the movie.
I was one of those people who saw it in theaters at the age of 9, and not only did I enjoy it, but while I don't have a DVD for this movie (or at least not yet, anyway), I have the movie on my DVR. I also have the soundtrack and licensed video game for it. I'm also planning to develop my own version of this film to incorporate some things to make it feel like a series finale.
These days, I think it's fair to say that if you grew up with Nickelodeon in the 90s or early 2000s, or if you prefer Seasons 1-8 of "SpongeBob SqaurePants", chances are you might actually enjoy this movie. The sequels, on the other hand could use a lot more work, with the exception of "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 3: Sponge Out of Water". But as far as spinoffs starting with "Saving Bikini Bottom: A SpongeBob SquarePants Movie", we never really needed those.

From 1993 to 1996 he would pursue work in television as a director and writer on Nickelodeon’s series “Rocko’s Modern Life.”įrom there, he began to work full-time on writing producing, and directing on the animated series that would eventually become “SpongeBob SquarePants.” The first episode aired on Nickelodeon on and the series commenced its full run on July 17 of that year. Stephen Hillenburg: Seven SpongeBob facts
The passing of SpongeBob SquarePants creator Stephen Hillenburg aged just 57 has caused shock and sadness to fans of the show. Hillenburg was married to his wife Karen for 20 years and they had one son Clay. He was diagnosed with ALS in March 2017. Here are some facts about his most famous creation.
1. SpongeBob SquarePants first aired on Nickelodeon on July 17, 1999. Its release was overshadowed by the first of the Star Wars prequels The Phantom Menace which came out a day earlier.
2. The show follows the fortunes of the title character and his friend Patrick who live in an underwater city called Bikini Bottom.
3. Its creator Stephen Hillenburg worked as a marine biology teacher before going into animation. He created a comic book for his students called The Intertidal Zone, which is believed to have formed the basis for the show.
4. It is one of the longest running TV shows still currently on the air in the US and is the highest rated series ever on Nickelodeon. Two movies have been made – The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie: Sponge out of Water (2015).

A (Re-)Introduction and 2020 New Year’s Resolutions
12 months have passed and here we are again. 2019 was a year, with the blog passing the 1,000 subscriber mark and I think it’s a sign that introductions are in order.
I’m Adam. I watch movies. A lot of movies. For years, I was writing reviews abut wasn’t posting them, until a friend convinced me to create this blog. I make it my goal to see just about every major release that comes to theatres. My preferred way to experience them is on the big screen. I know many people see most releases at home but for me, there’s something about going out, sitting with strangers (or sometimes, all alone) and taking it all in. No cellphones, no cat jumping on my lap, no distractions. It’s just me and the movie. I always stick all the way until the end of the credits, always give films the benefit of the doubt and do my best to “do my homework” beforehand. If there’s a sequel, a remake, a prequel, etc. I track the originals down. I believe that only then can I truly judge a film’s merits.
For several years after college, I worked at a video rental store. I doubt I’ll ever find a job I enjoyed more but graphic design and illustration are serious contenders. I try and generate a new graphic every week, though last year I was often overwhelmed by work and short on free time to draw. In case you’re wondering, all the blog’s graphics begin as pencil drawings which I scan into the computer and then ink and color using Adobe Illustrator.
Last year, I only created 19 new graphics. Way down from 2018’s 39. Let’s hope this new decade yields better results. Additionally, look forward to the following reviews to ensure I’m “caught up” with all the franchises returning to the silver screen. By this time next year I’ll have seen:
1995’s Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh and Candyman: Day of the Dead - I’ve already watched and reviewed 1992’s Candyman within the last two years so my memory of it is good
The various Grudge & Ju-On films I assumed I’d need to watch last year
Doctor Dolittle (1967), the remake with Eddie Murphy from 1998 and (with any luck) the spinoffs with Kyla Pratt
Legally Blonde (2001), Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde (2003), Legally Blondes (2009)
Bad Boys (1995) & Bad Boys II (2003)
Wonder Woman: Bloodlines (2019) - there are several direct-to-video DC Animated movies I’ve been wanting to see
Mulan (1998) & Mulan II (2004) - as well as any other adaptations of the Chinese Legend I can get my hands on
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004), The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015)
The Witches (1990)
Rush Hour (1998), Rush Hour 2 (2001) & Rush Hour 3 (2007)
Any adaptations of The Secret Garden I can get my hands on
Beverly Hills Cop (1984), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), and Beverly Hills Cop 3 (1994)
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) (depending on how my old review of it holds up) and G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013). I might revisit the delightfully bad animated film from 1987 as well if I have the time)
The Croods (2013)
Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004)
I also have a couple of environmental goals. For the past year, I’ve been bringing a reusable metal straw to the theater to cut down on my plastic waste. This year, I’m going to see if I can reduce it even further by bringing a lid that fits the theater’s cups.
2020 has just begun and I’m optimistic. There are some big movies I can’t wait to see and I’ve got tons of ideas for more drawings. The goals I’ve laid out may be overly ambitious but with all of your support, morale is high.
