I wanted to make a silly fanart for @akanemnon I didnt entirely ditch my art style even if I was semi trying to do yours but yaya I just wanna say I really love your art and your entire blog honestly so I wanted to pay tribute

It's worth considering that if the Roaring Knight is, y'know, trying to bring about the Roaring, then they're not likely to accomplish that goal by making fountains on their own, one at a time. It'd be a simple matter to seal them almost as soon as they appeared, resulting in a stalemate.

Chapter 2's Cyber World is interesting for a number of reasons, but one of the most interesting things about it is the fact that Queen effectively gives a tutorial on how lightners can create dark fountains, complete with images. And aside from Kris, who puts this knowledge to use almost immediately, we have three other lightners who seem to prefer their existence in the dark worlds over the light, for various reasons.

You have to wonder if the Knight somehow put her up to that, because once you think about it, it makes sense; why strive to bring about the apocalypse yourself when you can teach/condition others into doing it for you? Let them create their own dark worlds, and continue to disseminate that knowledge of how to make them, until you have the entire town doing it - to the point where it becomes impossible to seal fountains faster than they can be made.

The Roaring may have a champion, but it is the dissatisfaction and determination of the people of Hometown that will ultimately bring it about.
