how can you love kermit and joker if you yourself are incapable of spreading anything but selfish vindication i dedicate this blog to seeing the beauty in some of the most controversial yet standard creatures on the internet and yet you dedicate yourself to hatred and violence towards everything unless it pleases your twisted logic and niche interests i and my horses will not suffer because even when we feel pain we know that joy will live on in this world through love and respect and yet you deny yourself that and seek destruction instead of love if cain had truly loved abel if jacob had truly loved esau would the world not have been a bit easier for you and i in this modern era to navigate if adam and eve hadnt been fueled by only basic and animal emotions like hate and jealousy if they had thought with empathy and rationality would they have not been aware enough to see past the serpents urging why did they all have to seek more for themselves at the fault of others when there was so much raw beauty around them in nature why shouldnt one be happy the world is full of love even if there is a horse like bucephalus who shares in it do you think bucephalus had any choice in the life he was given why must you be so full of hatred and so quick to blame a creature whose agency was wholly removed through thousands of years of domestication dont you understand that life is simply a challenge to find contentment in your circumstances and bucephalus has done his best in his circumstances to find it why cant you accept the same challenge why must you run from it and blame all those who have succeeded where you have so willingly and grievously failed

If someone had told him when he was a moody teenager that one day he would optionally enjoy Disney world with his Uncle Wayne and his extended family, he would have told them to fuck all the way off. 

But they stood in line to ride The Haunted Mansion, Eddie had never felt happier. 

Wayne was having the time of his life. And true to what Suzie had said, Sam was stuck to him like a shadow. Both he and Sam had matching Mouse ears, and although Dustin had gotten him a buggy, Sam refused to use it. Preferring to get piggybacks everywhere on Eddie’s shoulders or walk holding Eddie’s hand. He had been right; the Converse were just as adorable in person.

Eddie had been taking as many photos as possible. He wanted the entire trip catalogued. Just in case. He wanted proof that this wasn’t all made up. 

Sam insisted on riding with him and Chris when the doom buggies came around. The kid hadn’t even batted an eyelid at the ghosts and ghouls. He took everything in his stride, apart from the small world ride. Nobody got out of the happiest little cruise to ever sail  in one bit.

Sam watched wide-eyed as the doom buggy made its way around the mansion, laughing and giggling as Eddie made funny voices in his ear. 

 He was enjoying himself so much that he missed the people taking photos of them as they ate ice cream in the castle's shadow, so caught up in being a nobody that he hadn’t realised that somebody had spotted him as someone.

So is it just a coincidence that Will is associated with the number 7 and there happens to be 7 colors in a rainbow? And a roll of 7 isn’t enough to win the game but a 14 is? Which means they needed a double rainbow to win. And who do we know that is associated with rainbows? Mike. And where is the answer to a never ending story? On a friggen rainbow.

Identity

I've struggled for a long time to feel legitimate claiming space in the queer-o-sphere; I pass as cis-het, and there's not a flag yet that accurately represents my particular patterns of gender expression and attraction. But I finally figured something out, and I wanted to share it here, because I think it's the closest I've come in a long time to stating something unequivocally true about myself: More than I am queer-coded, I am Kermit-coded. I identify with that calm, loving, wry, frank, kind center of the Muppetverse, the eye of a particularly fuzzy hurricane of zany chaos: Kermit the Frog.

So fun fact, I signed up to Geoff's Patreon about a week ago (and joined VoicePlay's just this morning!) (only for 2-3 months though probably), and so I got early access to this short a few days ago (along with a couple others he has planned for the month) and man I'm glad this one went public quickly because I couldn't wait to share it and talk about it!

In Geoff's Early Access video for his shorts, he does a bit of a preamble beforehand, but he doesn't actually tell you what the song is, so I was like "there's a chance I haven't even heard this song at all", and I will say that I didn't recognise it just by the opening piano chords, BUT about 8 words in I definitely knew it, and I couldn't stop smiling throughout the whole thing! <3

Muppet Fact #643

Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher felt that they needed to write something special for Kermit to sing at the beginning of The Muppet Movie. The duo was inspired by Walt Disney's Pinocchio adaptation in which Jiminy Cricket sings "When You Wish Upon a Star" at the beginning. Williams and Ascher liked how this song set the mood for the film and felt very spiritual, so they used that feeling as inspiration for Kermit's song.

On the opposite side of the stage, Layla perched on Steve’s shoulders, wiggling to the music and enjoying every moment of her access all areas pass. She was ecstatic to finally get to see her dad in concert, almost as excited as she was to see her Auty Chrissy and Aunt Robin. He knew she was still a little intimidated by the stage presence of Munster, but right until he stepped out on the stage he kept Munster under lock and key. It was becoming easier to do that now, to separate. It felt strange to have Steve's eyes on him, as Chris sang the songs that Eddie had written about Steve. Less so when the words came from his own mouth. The crowd knew something was distracting him at the side of the stage, he could see people in the front row trying to see why he kept looking off to the wings. But no matter what he did he couldn’t stop glancing off to where Steve sang along in the wings- he couldn’t keep his focus. He was nervous, but the good sort of nerves, like when he knew he had written a good campaign and was dying to share it with his party.
