Watching the documentary on Netflix on Academy Ivy Ridge is wild. Not just the obvious. But I remember years ago posts on here about it!! I remember reading about these horrible things where these kids my age were fucking kidnapped and brought to these places. And then I never heard about it again!! So I am just now starting the first episode. I have so much respect for the people who had to survive that shit, and then had the strength to go after them and make this documentary and shit.

I've now listened to two separate Rusty Quill distributed shows with episodes involving people wrecking themselves to scam money out of some abnormal virtual payout system and ultimately receiving a very "fuck around and find out" end

Just a disclaimer for anyone who's planning on watching the Program; the documentary about Ivy Ridge.
If you have religious trauma, a lot of the stuff performed at Ivy Ridge is very similar to a lot of the stuff in youth groups or church camps. Not to the extent of Ivy Ridge because oftentimes only the "good, god-fearing kids" went to church camp but a lot of the brain-washing stuff is very similar to the stuff used in evangelical programs so that could be a lot to process if you are just beginning in your journey of deconstructing all the stuff that happened to you in evangelical spaces.

REVEALED: Obamas WERE On Martha's Vineyard When Chef Mysteriously Drowned in their POND: 8 feet of water
In a turn of events, it has been confirmed that former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, were indeed present on Martha’s Vineyard when their personal chef, Tafari Campbell, tragically drowned under mysterious circumstances. The Obamas, who own a massive house on the island, initially reported through their office that they were not at the residence when the incident occurred.
However, the narrative has since been changed, stating that while they were on the island, they were not at their residence at the time of Campbell’s unfortunate demise.
Campbell, 45, was discovered dead on Monday by divers after he went missing in the Edgartown Great Pond, Massachusetts. Campbell had been paddle boarding with another individual around 7:40 pm on Sunday. Eyewitnesses reported that he was dressed entirely in black and was not wearing a life preserver, a detail that has added to the mystery surrounding his death.
The DailyMail wrote:
Initially, the Obamas’ office said they were not home.
Their office clarified on Monday that they were on the island, just not at the residence when Campbell drowned.
The circumstances leading to Campbell’s death remain unclear, and an autopsy is expected to take place. As part of the investigation, a toxicology analysis will also be conducted, which is a standard procedure in drowning cases.
Campbell had a long-standing relationship with the Obama family. He served as a sous chef at the White House during the Obama administration and continued to work privately for the family after they left office.
Adding another layer to the mystery surrounding Campbell’s death is the fact that he had taken swimming lessons as recently as 2019. Reports have led to further speculation and questions about the circumstances of his death.
Campbell’s Instagram ‘Fitness’ highlight showed his dedication to maintaining his health, showcasing him swimming backstroke, freestyle swimming, logging a 40-minute swim workout on his Apple watch, and even bench pressing 315 pounds.
WATCH:
Campbell’s wife, Sherise, released a heartfelt statement on Instagram mourning the loss of her husband. She wrote, “My heart is broken. My life and our family’s life is forever changed. Please pray for me and our families as I deal with the loss of my husband.” The couple were parents to twin 19-year-old sons.
The staff at Edgartown Meat and Fish Market, where Campbell was a regular, also paid tribute to the chef, whom they remembered as a ‘wonderful guy’. “We saw him last week, he was such a nice and happy guy,” one staff member shared, adding that Campbell had been a customer for a few years and would often chat about what he was cooking.
Barack Obama's Chicago Man Country Friends:
November 17, 2007 Larry Bland shot and killed in his own home
December 24, 2007 Donald Young shot and killed execution style in his own apartment
December 26, 2007 Nate Spencer died in Chicago Hospital (AIDS)
November 14, 2011 Larry Sinclair, Obama's CHICAGO 1999 Bathhouse & cocaine prostitute involved in hit and run car incident
In 2008 Beau Biden & Joe Biden arranged to have Sinclair arrested for telling the Washington, DC National Press Club about his gay love affair and cocaine use with Senator Obama.

wasn’t going to speak on this due to legal reasons but since i’ve now been contacted by the rest of the survivors from the series & more, we all deserve to speak up about what we went through & everything that was happening to us while we were part of the program. it is completely mind-blowing that all of this is finally coming to light, especially this way. i still have my journal & everything written down from day 1 i was there, until the day i escaped. apparently i hold the record for the only student, internationally, who was ever able to successfully escape the program alive. ❤️‍🩹🫥 finally justice for us!!!

if you guys want to see more of my journal pages or want to know more about my experience in the program, comment/message/ask me questions on my page & i’m happy to answer!! or follow me on instagram - @payton.ragland

today being the 5 year anniversary of the worst april fools joke ever (me being sent to a residential treatment center for over a year) has got me thinking about how much that place, and other programs within the troubled teen industry, have fucked me up.
i’m just now seeing how rotten the entire system was and is. it’s hard to even confront that idea for me right now; that it was bad, actually. it’s like a knotted mess of trauma and shame and confusion i’m only just starting to untangle.
i’m learning how to rebuild myself after being systematically broken down by adults who were supposed to help me, who had absolute control over my life, who liked to punish kids for fun. i’m trying to catch up on the childhood i missed out on, and how to grow past the hurt. it’s hard as hell. but i’m trying.
anyway. wanted to start a blog to talk about it, since it’s so hard to find people who relate irl. don’t know how much i’ll use it. we shall see

UAP - Unidentified Flying Phenomenon (anciennement UFO ou OVNI Objets Volants Non Identifiés).
Oui, ils existent.
[Variety]

hey gang i know this isn't very "fuck corporations and streaming services suck" of me but i'm honest to god recommending "the program", a docuseries on netflix. it's informative, it's so genuinely raw that i wept, it's incredible. it's about the troubled teen industry (mainly in the US, but they do talk about other areas a bit) and it goes deep into what happens in these places. one of the few things i've watched that has made me fall to my knees sobbing. each and every bit of information, every interview, had me whispering "oh mary mother of god..." in varying degrees of anger and grief.

“Like Thomas Houlahan said “The abuse of a child is the business of anyone who knows about it””
“Now you know”
My time in the troubled teen industry March 8th 2016 - December 16th 2017 (plus multiple abusive programs after for years)
Finally finished watching The Program on Netflix. I’m angry. I’m happy. I’m exhausted. I’m tired. I’m relieved. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest. People know about these places now. These programs. Where kids are abused and it’s labeled as therapy. Where I was abused. Verbally. Emotionally. Mentally. Physically. I’ve seen things no child should ever see. I’ve gone through things no child should ever have to go through. The places I’ve been to, wilderness, therapeutic boarding school, residentials, inpatients, rehabs, hospitals all before the age of 18 have broken me. Have completely destroyed the light inside me. And I’ve spent the last 7 years trying to recover from my wilderness and boarding school. And I’ve spent the last 3 trying to recover from rehabs, residentials, inpatients and hospitals. And at 21 I’m just finally starting to enjoy the things I did when I was 13, before my life came to a screeching halt. I am not the person I was before I left. I will never be that person ever again. I have to build myself up again because of the troubled teen industry, and the fact that survivors are speaking out. Making documentaries. That gives me hope that one day, with time, I’ll be close to the person I once was. I’ll be a person again. I’ll be human again.
Katherine will forever be a hero in my mind. Every single person involved in this documentary. A hero. Genuinely so proud of them all. Thank you for bringing light to this. Thank you for making the world aware. Thank you.

Hey I haven't said this in a while but You should listen to The Program.
It is an absolutely incredible audio series that I can't put into a single genre (simply because their episodes just cover so many) that has captivated me completely. Science Unfiction in a glorious set of several deliciously crafted thought experiments and stories that when woven together creates an absolutely mind bogglingly large tapestry of world building and narration of the universe that its in.
I legitimately can't say my praises enough for The Program, and I'm actually planning on listening to it a second time to snag any wayward details I could have missed.
