The back of this publicity still reads
4969......VICTORIAN BANGS with shorter bob curled to the temples with wide waves across the top, a new coiffure for Myrna Loy worn in the MGM production "The Prizefighter and the Lady" directed by W.S. Van Dyke.
Myrna was miscast in a role Howard Hawks planned for Jean Harlow.

Heavyweight boxing champion Joe Louis, left, whispers advice to six-year-old Andy Davidson while Bill "Bojangles" Robinson whispers to Eshmael Aruz, also six, February 2, 1941. They were probably giving advice before the boys began their Paperweight bout at the Colored Orphan Asylum in the Bronx. Louis and Robinson were honored guests at an Achievement Day program sponsored by the asylum. Louis called the bout a draw.
