Black Myth Wukong

Underneath the joke here, there is actually something compelling to be explored. The idea of "Jinx" being so notorious that she's mythologized. The myth being a hyper exaggeration of all her infamous traits, until it strays far from what the real Jinx is actually like. A spin on the whole "League of Legends" thing. The show did attempt to play into this theme with the openings. The way Season 1's opening depicts statues carved of stone, showing them as heroes and legendary figures, then Season 2's opening depicts them as human, stripped down to their underclothes. But the show could have done much more with this than a simple joke about an enforcer thinking the real criminal mastermind would never wear circus pants.

Imagine people telling stories of the dangerous criminal Jinx, but exaggerating certain details about her. Saying her nails are long and pointed as talons, her braids drag behind her on the ground, her teeth are sharp as a shark's, her bullets never miss, she is utterly without feeling or mercy, a spectre come to haunt and destroy Piltover. Imagine Piltovians viewing her as a horror story, and Zaunites viewing her as a dark hero, their vengeance against Piltover. Of course, the real Jinx likes painting her nails bright pink, let her father braid her pigtails, has a small tooth gap, misses her shots often, and feels way too much. The idea of both cities taking this girl and turning her into a legend, stripping away all her human qualities and projecting all their own fears and desires onto her is so interesting. Jinx, Piltover's ruin and Jinx, Zaun's revenge. Instead of Jinx the human.

Imagine Jayce meeting her. He never met her in the entire show's run which I feel is a missed opportunity. She was the catalyst of so much of his story in Season 1. It was her who broke into his lab, stole his gemstone and research. She defaced his entire lab, putting her grafitti and monkey symbols everywhere to taunt him. He spent the entirety of Season 1 worried sick that she would find a way to weaponize the gemstone. Her massacre of the enforcers on the bridge traumatized and sickened him. He demanded that she be locked up in exchange for Zaun's independence. I wonder how he imagines her? Does he picture a grown woman? Someone his age or older? Someone devoid of emotion or humanity? Imagine if he finally met her, this person who has caused him so much distress, and he sees an ill teenage girl. Baby fat on her cheeks and chipped nail polish.

Vi's story could have mirrored this too, losing her own identity while her sister sinks herself into her "Jinx" persona. Feeling abandoned and betrayed by Zaun, she rejects it and falls into Caitlyn's (Piltover's) arms. Becoming absorbed and assimilated into the city, losing connection to her real roots. Piltover taking advantage of her strength and exploiting it against Zaun. Turning her into their weapon, one of their enforcers. Using her as a diversity hire, the token trencher to prove how kind and not at all oppressive the enforcers are. Vi losing her own humanity as she makes The Piltover Enforcer her new identity and lets herself be engulfed by it, the way her sister does with her Jinx identity. Both cities taking these sisters and turning them into symbols. The sisters being dehumanized but letting it happen because they feel they have no other path or that they deserve it. But underneath Jinx and Piltover's Enforcer, are two broken young women.

What is V!wukongs back story?

Ya guys always ask good questions that i have no capability to answer to cuz my writing is shit skksks alr, buckle up , that might be long one and i'm gonna use my dear friend's short recap of this damn gotta put it in some order alr- The story starts with that he and his Mac were married/mated (yes, that's ofc shadowpeach based-) After the Havoc his Mac didn't left him under the mountain but stayed there all the 500 years to protect him from the mountain gods that tried to punish Wukong more . When trippy goes to free him ,Wukong wants to redeem himself so heaven will leave them alone - he goes with the monk , Mac goes back to the FFM , to protect it and wait for Wukong. The Heavens ofc don't play clear so the circlet was in fact cursed - And when it was used to punish Wukong , uh well, Mac was around and tried to stop Trippitaka. It didn't turned out well and Wukong attacked Mac because of the circlet . Mac fled, and when Wukong is back to himself pretty much rage overcome him , he kills the pilgrims. With the circlet (it was all the time activated during that time) he went to Diyu- just to find Mac . HOWEVER he doesn't find him there cuz he's not dead, just injured. He finds the scroll instead, uses it to get the info how circlet works and how to take it off. He find out where Mac did fled too. When he finally finds him, he cries his eyes out apologizing, they reconcile and go back to the FFM. Heaven want to punish Wukong again , obviously but before they can -Nuwa herself turns him into stone . To protect him from heaven's wrath. Aaaand weakened Mac is left alone again , protecting him. Waiting for him to awaken. And then Lady Bone Demon appears! because this monkey would do a fine power source in that stone state. Mac trying to defend him is being ereased from the world by LBD . Wukong after reawakening tries to find his husband unsuccessfully He goes to heavens, diyu , searching everywhere he could , because he would not know that Mac is truly gone, beyond rescue . His anger reaches much higher, Now all the higher principals against him, they would still try to bring him down cuz Wukong would go mad with pain and grief This time they wouldn't succeed , Wuk would bring them all down , gaining the power , and creating perfect opportunity to world to just fall apart. He might've eaten some gods n pilgrims along the way so he is even more powerful than ur usual wukong so- rip Half canon thing (Myth if you must-) is that he beheaded himself a few times in the meantime, each head creating a new body and going search for their Mihou in different universes (sheer excuse for RP in different universes-)

The final straw was when Erlang had come for a rematch, Wukong was ever so shocked no he was speechless. when you showed up in your Storm goddess mode and took his floating staff and gave Erlang a life changing but PTSD inducing experience making sure he wouldn't mess with you or Wukong. At the end of everything he learned, you are the red dress goddess and he would be blessed you be married to you in the future. If it was up to you, the wedding would be tomorrow😉🤭

(Destined one) When you first saw him, it was love at first sight he was silently looking and stern, but he was perfect to you. You have been in a state of depression for years because your adopted uncles had died, but then one day, you saw him. It all Started At the Court of Sakutopia, Princess Saphira Stood there all angry and Seething in rage when she sees Her Now "Ex"-fiancé Name "Prince Daniel Jamerson Rooster" Of Shintari and His Lover " Princess Barbra jenna Minx" of Sunchon who are Now Charge of Treason against the Kingdom Of Sakutopia Such as : committed Adultery in Public including In front of Jade Emperor Himself, Murder of Saphira's beloved Daughter For a ridiculous Mysogonistic reasons, Domestic Violence against the princess Of Sakutopia which cause of her Unborn daughter Died a Stillborn, and Worst of them all Is made a huge Insult of her family by Planning to Make a fake marriage and attempt to steal the Male heir and running away with his mistress.. That Made Saphira Angered and Now She's going to Let them Know that She's Not the Person to be Screwing off with, Then Saphira Said in cold tone,

After the Royal Court, Daniel got sterilized and went into a walk of shame where everyone in sakutopia throws stones and veggies with anger and called him liar, cheater, traitor, and a baby killer. After that, Daniel got disowned and Exiled from Sakutopia and Shintari Kingdom. Ten Months has passed, Saphira was Depressed so much that she Cried every Night when her tears rain down the village of Sakutopia. Her Father Couldn't bare to See His precious daughter crying in heartbroken, Then he thinks something to make His beloved daughter happy.. he means Happy with someone better than that Traitorous rooster boy but then.. He Looked at the Old books from China that he read stories to his daughter. When he pulls out the One Book that Saphira loved is The "Journey to the west" Story until he Spotted The great sage Known as Sun wukong, the Monkey king himself. In his mind, He thought Sun wukong was a myth and then He decided to go to the Flower fruit mountain to see if anything is true about sun wukong is real.. If he does, then there's a Chance to get His beloved daughter happy. So That Night, he began to travel with his Noble Kirin name "Kahn" and began to ride into the night heading to the Mountain Of Flower and Fruit While wearing a Royal General Samurai Armor, Morning came in as he Made it to the mountain of flower and fruit. Then he began to Journey deep into the jungle of the Flower fruit mountain but suddenly Half way across the Jungle, Somethings golden went passed The Emperor as he began to ready to fight..when he sees the golden staff shine but he reconize the staff as it began to return to the owner near the trees as The emperor realized that this owner is Sun wukong, The Great Sage Equal to heaven as he Bows down on his knee and said,

Emperor: "Oh Great Sage Equal to heaven, Please Forgive me for trespass your Home."

Sun Wukong: "You Speak well Emperor But state your name and purpose of why you came to my Home?"

Emperor: "I am Emperor of Mordue Quin Fox Of Sakutopia, I am here to see you Great sage. You see My Daughter is heartbroken, It's been 10 months since her engagement is called off after She caught Prince Daniel of Shintari kingdom Cheated on her with a princess of Sunchon and Killed Her poor beloved daughter by his abusive hands… I hope this rumor didn't bother you at all.."

Sun Wukong: "Hmmm, So the Rumors are true but what has to do something with me Emperor of Sakutopia?"

Emperor: "Well I was wondering if you want to do the Challenge to Mend my Daughters Brokenheart, I've been telling my daughter a story about you and my people celebrate about you every month in your Honor. She fell in love of hearing stories about you and I decided to give you 4 challenge, if your willing to Great sage."

Sun wukong: Thoughted and then made a genuine smile "Of course, I accept the challenge and If i pass those 4 challenge or tasks, I Shall Marry your beloved daughter and I'll make sure She'll be loved that she deserves and You Shall Unite My Kingdom with yours as a condition of Our Deal"

Emperor: " I grant your Condition Oh great sage, My daughter will be please to see you. Tonight, you'll meet my Daughter at the balcony in my kingdom, I shall escort you immediatly"

After Sun wukong made a nice agreement with the Emperor of this nice challenge and arrange marriage, The Emperor escorted Sun wukong to His kingdom of Sakutopia where everyone saw sun wukong and cheers and bows to him gracefully.. Then that Night, Saphira was at the balcony feeling all sad and Depressed once more.. Tears sheds of Missing her Daughter so much.. Then Sun wukong Saw the Sadden Princess, So he has an idea as he Shapeshift into a beautiful White Bird and Fly to the balcony and landed on the rails of it and said to her…

Old Sun at some point figured out that his mortal companion was attracted to his Stone Monkey form, and confronted her about it (he thinks it's interesting and funny)

and ofc Oz denied it with every inch of her life (she thinks the Monkey King already has a big enough ego)

Cue later on Sun Wukong decides to tease her by transforming into the Stone Monkey and play a game of cat and mouse through the Mount Huaguo forest.

And after he caught her, he is gonna throw her on his shoulder, walk away somewhere private and then she's dinner.

Nüwa & Fuxi, and MK:

As a slight break from the emotionally heavier AUs; I would like to introduce y'all to a silly idea I had after watching Season 5 + an Au idea.

Now that Nüwa is a confirmed entity in LMK, I had ideas of what her counterpart/mate Fuxi would be like.

If Nüwa can be considered Mother Nature, then Fuxi is the Father of Invention. Folktales typically credit Fuxi as the inventor of nets (from watching a spider catch prey in a web), the Eight Trigrams and Five Elements from the world around him etc...

Many tales depict Fuxi as another half-snake/naga-like creature as Nüwa, possibly even her twin brother. Though the genetic connection is believed to be a case of mythological syncretism with another creation myth.

As much as the imagery of two snakes coiled around each other is cool af; I personally think that maybe Fuxi's true form is that of a creature close to Nüwa's heart and mythos.

One particularly interesting depiction I found has Fuxi as a man draped in many furs.

So what does Fuxi look like in my idea? Well...

A big ol' proto-human hominid who helped his primordial creator goddess-wife figure out the design of what would become the humans of the Asian subcontinent.

Nüwa was the sister of the entity that would become the Jade Emperor, and was born with a marvellous ability to create life from clay. However, her creations were terribly flawed. Not in a quirky "everyone is a little different"-way flawed, but completed unable to survive in the wild or reproduce.

Meanwhile on the chaos-stricken Earth, a young Pleistocene monkey-man has been inventing up a storm of things that can make his people's lives easier!

The two have a fateful encounter, and it's love at first sight.

Nüwa shared the knowledge of the Heavens with Fuxi, while he in turn created methods to strengthen her clay creations and teach them means of survival.

For a while the clay creatures still could not reproduce on their own - they had to ask Nüwa directly to create a new figure if they wished for progeny.

One day Fuxi saw the little clay monkeys sad over their lack of offspring, and handed them a small rock.

"This is an egg. When it hatches, you will have your cub."

The clay-made monkeys hooted excitedly, cradling their "Eggs" as if they were delicate newborns. The gesture was only meant to act as a placebo until their creator could create a brand new figure.

But one day the rocks started hatching...

Nüwa: "My love! I figured it out! The clay I was using wasn't fertile enough! If I create the next generation from the clay along the Yellow River then they should- EHHH!?" (*The clearing is full of delighted clay monkey couples. Each one hugging and kissing an infant monkey, surrounded by shards of brightly-colored rock*) Fuxi, shrugging: "I guess I found a way too?" Nüwa: (*giggles excitedly and wraps around her mate in a tight embrace*)

Despite how smoothly the first rock-born monkeys came to be, they were still created from inert material unlike Nüwa's later creations. And they had a much harder time passing on their genetics. Stone Eggs aren't exactly efficient to form and carry. But the creators did have fun creating new ancestral lineages from different types of gemstones! Nüwa's favourites would always be Fuxi's original "stone-born monkeys" though.

Sadly, with the destruction of the Fifth Heavenly Pillar, the Great Flood irreparably destroyed many of Nüwa's creations. Her beloved stone monkeys among them.

And possibly even taking away her mate....

So where does MK fall into this?

Easy.

Despite creating many clay figures together; Nüwa and Fuxi had no biological children of their own. Their differing species, and the disgust from Heaven at their bond, meant that any natural progeny was next to impossible.

Except...

The Goddess laughed at the bitter irony. To leave the last trace of her mate behind in order to uphold the Pillar. For her and Fuxi's child to be the one to herald the breaking of the cycle.

Before the Guardians are entrusted with the Five-Coloured Stones, Nüwa kisses her baby goodnight and puts them to rest inside of their stone cradle - the only egg strong enough to keep them safe.

MK should be so lucky he was born resembling his father, and not slinking around with his mother's legless tail.

What if there was a twist were turns out nuwa and monkey king are mks parents?

Like they were supposed to take care of him

Oh Yes! That might acutally happen and here are the evidence for it!:

First of all, we know that MK is probaly not complete, as theorised in a twitter post here:

This was also later theorised upon by RV sketch on Youtube here, where they theorised that something happen to Nüwa, therefore why MK never got completed, and then somehow ended up at Pigsy's.

And we also know that Wukong knew of MK! Well... sort of atleast?

David Breen said, that Wukong didnt know of MK, when MK was a stone atleast:

As @imminent-danger-came mentioned here though, there is diffrence between these scenes, and this scene:

The first one, is Wukong trying to find MK in the scroll, but keeps ending up at the stone (as mentioned in the tweet he doesnt know why, he ends there).

Meanwhile, this second scene is a flashback, so Wukong (in some way), knew there was atleast something, going on.

Again check out that theory, its awesome!

But this would bassicaly mean, that Nüwa made MK, and used Wukong's stone (without him knowing), to help create MK.

And here the "Wukong and Nüwa being MK's parents", start making sense, because of two things:

Nüwa in her original myth was incredebly lonely, and that was the reason she made humanity in the first place. So i theorised here, that MK was supposed to stay with Nüwa, and not live without her like the rest of her creations. (This then going wrong as I just talked about)

Nüwa problay noticed that, like her, Wukong was also lonely, in a sense that he kept pushing people away. Therfore, MK would be a way to get Wukong to break down thoughs walls that he built around him. (A sort of "kill three flies in one swing", with the third fly being the fact that Nüwa also made MK to be some sort of "weapon")

Anyway there is a lot more to this, like why MK was made of Wukong in the first place (as i talked about here) or what happend to Nüwa and why she isnt in the trailer (as i talked about here)

(I just couldnt fit any more into this theory, or this would get very confusing in a sea of snake moms and monkey dads)

LMK fic au idea

Welp im not good writing fic and my ideas are riots

@quitealotofsodapop and I made an au about the Monkey King's children: Paramita, Sun Luzhen, Yuebei Xing, Jidu and Luohou.

This happens once Wukong finishes his journey and returns home, helping with the reconstruction of the island, mainly because he starts to feel lonely especially for what happened with his partner Macaque. And one of the things he always wanted once the war was over is to be able to have a family with his beloved but this couldn't happen so he will do it with his own hands in the style of Nuwa, he would create clay eggs and even find a hidden one and from there his children would be born.

Paramita is the firstborn and heir to the throne of the kingdom of the mountain of fruits and flowers and Alolai being the serious of all his brothers and the most elegant of them, he has an elegance that his father lacks but that will not make him less lethal on the battlefield; he is the general of the kingdom's army and has on his shoulders the expectations of the kingdom as crown prince.

Sun Luzhen in his canon is Wukong's twin brother who had taken so long to hatch, and the second to be born when he was found, the king had adopted him as his own son, He has an energetic personality like a showman, He is now a version of Porty light, he is a professional musician and has worked in various musical genres, even in large industries making soundtracks for various movies or video games under an alias.

Yuebei Xing, the only daughter of the monkey king, is daddy's little princess, with a tough character and a very bad temper, with an enormous and muscular build that makes her completely intimidating, but under the dark shell she is a monkey who loves her family and her brothers, she was born with a cleft lip of which she only has a scar, she is a renowned paleontologist in her field who loves her job, she has always loved digging up bones since she was little.

Jidu and Luohou they are mischievous twins who like to cause trouble like their older brother Luzhen, who love theater like Macaque and dedicate their life to that art. Jidu is a comedian in various stand-up comedy shows while Luohou is an actor in musicals and has participated in many.

Wukong wanted to experience the possibility of having children by modeling in clay that he created 4 eggs, by the time he found the stone egg of Luzhen he found that the Paramita egg had already hatched and in time only the eggs of the others would hatch turning Wukong into a tired father of 5 energetic children.

Rumors of his existence abounded, especially the fact that Paramita was the son of Princess Iron Fan, which was never lacking (Paramita could never find the author of that aberration in the book and if he had, he would have pulverized it). This rumor was born because he and Red Son WERE childhood friends and a possible marriage union between them was expected (Like Odette and Derek in The Swan Princess). Now their parents wanted them to marry for love like they did, but then the thing at the mountain happened and they lost contact.

Paramita as a cub: "This is my best friend Red. When we grow up, we'll get married and have an island to ourselves!" :3

But that is if the day they meet again they shout with joy and hug each other like little kids who haven't seen each other all summer.

The rumors of the monkey king's children grew to be illustrated in the non-canonical sequels of the journey to the west and at that time they were just children, but due to the isolation of the monkey king the rumors of them became a myth until their existence was doubted, making the shadow of his father grow…

MK would meet the children of the monkey king in ''A hero is born'' is when he lands on the beach of Huaguoshan Island and they were the monkeys in disguise (Headcanon the common monkeys are glamours of yao monkeys)

Making them lose their glamour and scare MK even more until Paramita has to take control of the situation by lining everyone up.

After the initial scare MK asks them to take him to the monkey king and leave them alone; Now you might be wondering why the monkey king would need a successor? Simple, because Wukong has empty nest syndrome.

For the events of season two Paramita and his brothers will be in charge of MK's training so he wouldn't be so far behind and if they would be aware of LBD.

When MKang finds out about their existence it will be at the end of this same season especially when Pigsy is yelling at Wukong and oh boy, if there is something that Paramita does NOT tolerate at all is that HIS FATHER IS INSULTED (He's a daddy's boy)

Pigsy: You're supposed to be his mentor! Paramita: "Excusr me!? He raised five children as a single parent!" HE IS ANYTHING BUT A LAZY MAN WHO DOES NOTHING, DAMN SERVANT!!!

Paramita was millimeters away from beating Pigsy up, he will defend his father's honor knowing how introverted he is and will let that insult pass (He will fight even in mud to prove his point), his brothers would be pulling him to avoid the chef's announced death, even Yuebei has a hard time doing it being the strongest of all her brothers.

But in the end, as doubt coils around her heart, she questions whether the choices she made have left her with nothing but ashes—or if the fiery and untamed Monkey King, Sun Wukong, is the very thing she needs to help rewrite her terrible fate.

Will Ember let fate forever change The Destined One into an untamed, wild force of raw furious power, or will her own doubts turn the tide of his own destiny? Which path will she choose, and will The Destined One even heed her desires in the end?

Or is the weight of his inherited obsession too overwhelming for him to resist…

Snippet: "Is it not plain?” he said, giving that cursed backscratcher another twirl. "You’re here to aid him." He flicked the scratcher toward the Monkey.

The Monkey flinched, his gaze darting between the man and me like he’d missed a crucial part of the joke. And, no doubt, I mirrored him.

"Uh, yeah, no. That's not happening," I snapped, slicing my hand through the air like a judge laying down a verdict. “There's absolutely no way I can help him…”

“I fear the luxury of choice is not on you, dear one. Should you seek to return home, but one path lies before you.”

My arms shot up in exasperation. "You can't be serious!" I shouted at the sky, praying some hidden camera was tucked away in the rocks around us, because this couldn't possibly be happening! "Enough already! Ha ha, real funny! But I’m done now!"

I spun in circles, desperate for a glimpse of a lens. "Come on, Susie! End the prank! Please? I don’t want to play anymore!"

And then, that chuckle. Low, knowing. “I pity you, child, in truth. Harsh though it may be to accept, I assure you—this is no jest.”

In a blink, he vanished in a puff of smoke, only to reappear at my side, his hand suddenly gripping my forearm. "You shalt need this for the journey that lies before you," he said, pressing a necklace into my palm before vanishing once more.

I actually felt him disappear. His small, pale hand dissolved from my skin, like that was just an everyday occurrence. And, apparently, it was.

"And you," his voice drifted from ahead. I glanced up to see him standing beside the Monkey, "will have its twin." He tossed a matching necklace to the Monkey, who caught it with barely a shrug, inspecting it without a word.

I looked down at my own, a black cord tied around a silver-black stone. It didn’t seem like much—nothing extraordinary… yet.

I PRESENT A "new" Beanstalked OC (that is really just me recycling an old one).

He's a flying monkey (or a winged monkey if you wanna use accurate terms). Similar to Mr. Grinsly, he has waaay more story to him than Dorothy (who, just like Lacie, is on the backburner...maybe even more so because I still gotta read the original Wizard of Oz book).

There's a ton of backstory to this character's spontaneous creation but I'mma slide it under cut to keep this post short

So, similar to Wonderland, I also wanted to include Oz back in the early days of my writing Beanstalked. And just like Wonderland, I had to put it on the backburner.

And during these early Beanstalked days, I also wanted to include mythology alongside fairy tales in the story. And that was a big ole doozy because of how overly complicated the lore winded up becoming. WAY too complicated - like to the point the story was getting constipated and straying off course for the sake of me showing off how many cool character designs based off myths and fables I could do.

One of said myths was of Monkey King. Truth be told, he got SUPER close to making it to the final cut of Beanstalked due to the interesting nature of Journey to the West as a book. Incredibly close.

Chances are, if not for the fact I just crafted up this character, he might have snuck into revamped Beanstalked.

However, I realized that just like the Cheshire Cat, I always liked flying monkey based characters...though they are kind of rare since they are typically just minions. HOWEVER I DO ENJOY MONKEY CHARACTERS - Their designs are typically super fun. And I've been wanting really badly to design a monkey OC.

So this is like a two birds, one stone situation.
