Crafting Perfect Bouquets: Miami Rose Florist Tips From Rosamia
youtube
To craft the perfect bouquet, start by choosing blooms that reflect the sentiment you wish to convey—a timeless rose or a unique peony. Think about using color psychology: warm tones for energy and cool tones for calmness. For arrangement, confirm your flowers are fresh with vibrant colors and vary the textures and heights for visual interest. Incorporate seasonal elements like twigs and berries to add authenticity and support local florists. Personal touches, such as symbolic blooms or unique textures like eucalyptus, enhance the bouquet's emotional resonance. Exploring these tips will boost your floral creations to extraordinary levels.
Choosing the Right Blooms
When it comes to crafting the perfect bouquet, selecting the right blooms is essential. You want each petal to speak to the heart, capturing emotions in a way words often can't.
Start with thoughtful flower selection, considering the variety of bloom types available. Roses, with their timeless elegance, might be your first choice, but don't overlook the charm of lilies or the delicate beauty of peonies. Each flower type brings its unique texture and fragrance, transforming your bouquet into a sensory experience.
As you choose, think about the sentiment you wish to convey. Perhaps you desire the romance of red roses or the purity of white lilies.
Let your intuition guide you, ensuring every bloom harmonizes with your heartfelt message.
Understanding Color Combinations
After selecting the right blooms, it's important to think about how color combinations will enhance your bouquet's impact.
Explore color psychology to create an arrangement that resonates emotionally. Complementary hues can evoke feelings you want to convey:
1. **Warm Tones** - Reds and oranges bring energy and passion, perfect for romantic or celebratory occasions.
2. **Cool Tones** - Blues and purples offer calmness and tranquility, ideal for sympathy or soothing arrangements.
3. **Neutral Tones** - Whites and greens symbolize purity and balance, fitting for weddings or peaceful settings.
4. **Bold Contrasts** - Combining contrasting colors like yellow and violet can create vibrant, eye-catching displays.
Mastering Floral Arrangement Techniques
Creating a stunning bouquet involves a few key techniques that can enhance your floral arrangements from ordinary to extraordinary.
First, prioritize flower care by ensuring each bloom is freshly cut and properly hydrated. This step preserves their vibrant beauty and longevity.
Next, consider the arrangement styles that resonate with your personal taste or the occasion. Whether you prefer the classic elegance of a round bouquet or the artistic flair of a cascading design, let your creativity shine.
Don't be afraid to play with varying heights and textures, which adds depth and interest. Use greenery to frame your flowers, giving the bouquet a cohesive look.
Incorporating Seasonal Elements
As you arrange your flowers with care and creativity, think about the unique charm that seasonal elements can bring to your bouquet.
Embracing the beauty of seasonal flowers not only adds authenticity but also reflects the time of year. This connection deepens the emotional impact of your arrangement.
Consider these tips to incorporate seasonal elements:
1. **Choose seasonal flowers**: They're fresher, more vibrant, and often more affordable.
2. **Support local sourcing**: Opt for locally grown blooms to enhance sustainability and connect with your community.
3. **Highlight natural textures**: Use elements like twigs or berries to evoke the season's ambiance.
4. **Stay flexible**: Seasonal availability can inspire creativity and lead to unexpected, delightful combinations.
Personalizing Your Bouquet Design
When designing a bouquet, everyone has the chance to infuse a personal touch that makes each arrangement unique and memorable.
Start by considering bouquet symbolism. Maybe roses speak to love, or daisies bring a sense of purity. Choose flowers that tell your story or reflect cherished memories. It's all about aligning the blooms with your personal preferences.
Do you adore vibrant colors, or does a soft pastel palette soothe your soul? Feel free to mix textures, too—perhaps a hint of eucalyptus for a fresh scent or some berries for a playful twist.
Don't shy away from experimenting. Your bouquet should resonate with who you're and the emotions you wish to convey. This personal connection transforms a simple arrangement into something truly special.
Conclusion
As you craft your perfect bouquet, remember that 83% of people say flowers make them feel special. Choose blooms that resonate with you, and play with color combinations to create striking visuals. Master your arrangement techniques by experimenting with shapes and textures. Don't forget to incorporate seasonal elements for a fresh touch. Personalize your design to reflect your unique style, and you'll create a bouquet that not only looks stunning but also tells your story.

cloud circuit - ls2
Y/n Tiffany has always been a woman just outside of Logan's grasp. But a chance encounter at a bus stop and a new neighbor prove maybe somethings are meant to be. As long as he doesn't figure out her real name.
logan sargeant x business owner!student!reader
warnings/notes: I don't think I have any genuine warnings for this chapter specifically? me once again doing a slightly messy trope bc i live for drama
Logan had never assumed he’d be the guy to fall for someone the way he fell for you. It was happenstance, a complete coincidence, but you both kept running into each other. For two years. At least once a week.
He went on a morning jog? You were at a crosswalk he had to stop at.
He was running out to get groceries last minute? You were buying baking supplies.
He had to go visit Oscar? You were also on the bus he had to take.
He went to the gym? You worked at the joint coffee shop, book store, bakery, florist shop, place next door, Cloud Circuit.
One thing he always found though, was there was always a book nestled in your arm. From Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, to The Silent Patient, to For The Wolf, you always had a book, a black pen, and a highlighter and tabs you color coded to the books cover. It was something so minuscule for him to notice, but when a girl in a busy city like London was constantly curled up in a book—even on the clock, it seemed big.
The first time you spoke to him, outside of ordering him his usual orders—either a matcha latte and breakfast sandwich for the mornings, or a normal latte (sometimes with some extra sweetener) and a pastry for nights, was outside of some department store. He’d dipped in to find a coat his soon to be sister in law was begging anyone to find, and was happy to gloat about having the red jacket tucked securely into his bag, when he spotted you at the bus stop. It was drizzling, and you were tucked neatly under your umbrella, book held open with one hand as you scanned along the words. He noted, however, you were re-reading a fully tabbed book. His gaze must’ve lingered too long because you glanced up and caught his eye, making a flurry of an apology tumble out of his lips while you laughed softly and tucked a bookmark in and shut the book. He watches you tug it against your chest, chafing it to the fabric of your rain coat as you spoke,
“I’m beginning to wonder if you’re following me, Logan.”
Your voice was like honey, smooth and sweet. Your eyes sparkling in the yellow light from the street lamp and a playful smile tugging at the corners of your strawberry chapstick covered lips. He felt an odd pull to you and even with knowing he really needed to get him and get on the sim with the guys…he moved closer to you and lifted his hood against the drizzle. Your eyes flickered down to the Miami Dolphins logo, the hoodie itself an old favorite of his, you assumed from how many times you'd seen it.
“I could say the same to you, miss…” he hums, and before you can go to say your name he grins, “bibliophile.”
“Miss bibliophile?” You echo, eyebrows lifting as a small grin peeks at your mouth, “you make me sound like a criminal.”
“Well, tell me your name and maybe you won’t sound so villainous.” He shrugs as the bus rolls up to a stop. He steps back partly, trying to signal he won’t be following you onto the bus, and you smile as you toss your name over you shoulder with a quick ‘see you soon!’ and tuck into the red bus that’s pulled up. And when he sees you settle in your seat by the window, and reopen the same book you’d had tucked to your chest he takes a moment to read the name on the hot pink cover--Happy Place.
He doesn't see you for a month after that, you're not in any of your usual spots, he can't spot you in any crowds, and he feels a bit dejected. It takes both Alex and Oscar getting on his ass for him to finally admit, yes, okay maybe he has a crush on this girl he's only seen from afar. He knows nothing about her, nothing other than where she works and that she seems to like romance books, he can name every book you've read, every book he's seen you groan and slam shut (and the one time he watched you throw out a Colleen Hoover novel at work) and he can name every time he's seen you and okay, maybe he's a little obsessed but he's in love, damnit.
He's coming back to his apartment when he notices a new mat outside his previously empty neighbors apartment. It's a cute one, a pretty blue color, and as he opens his door and rolls his suitcase in he swears he hears movement in the hall. But he closes his door before he can see anything.
There's mail piled on the floor and he bends to pick it up, some bills he was expecting, spam mail, and then a little handwritten note. He hums, taking the letter in his hand as he drags himself and his bags to his bedroom and drops everything without much care before falling back on his bed. He thumbs the letter open, looking at the pretty handwriting and then read whatever the words say as he tries to not fall asleep.
'Dear neighbor in 221,
Hello! My name is Y/n Tiffany, but you can just call me Tiff! I'm a current uni student and small business co-owner (Circuit Coffee!) who just moved in next door! I'm a double major, Sports Business and Marketing and Advertising and Branding. I have classes at all odd hours of the day, and two cats who like to scream randomly so I'm sorry if me leaving early and coming home late, or Forza or Turi are a bother! If anything ever annoys you, I can make a pretty good matcha latte as an apology.
I would love to get to know my neighbors, so feel free to knock if you hear me inside!
thanks xx
y/n’
It takes Logan two weeks to hear you inside. He's coming back from a race late, letting Oscar crash at his for the night when he hears music from inside your room. As he fumbles for his keys Oscar gawks.
"Someone lives there now?" He asks and Logan nods, opening the door.
"Moved in two weeks ago, names Y/n, I havent had a chance to stop in and talk to her." Oscar nods as he lets his suitcase fall from his hand and slump against the wall with a soft bump. When he sets down his duffle bag, the music next door paused.
“Do you want anything to drink or something?” Logan asks, moving to grab a water as Oscar throws himself down on the couch and calls,
“Please! I think I’m actually dying.” Oscar groans and Logan laughs, tossing a water bottle over purposefully when Oscar not looking—causing a loud groan from the other side of the room. Through the wall, Logan can hear conversations as he kicks Oscar’s legs off the couch and sits down next to him.
“What time do you have to be back tomorrow? I can drive.” Logan leans back on the couch and rolls out his neck, the hours of sitting still on the flight making him sore all over.
“Not until like five, and I can always have Lily get me on her way back from university.” Oscar mumbles into his water bottle before taking a sip, “you don’t need to drive so out of the way.”
Logan goes to say it’s fine before he hears a few knocks at the door, he pauses, praying it’s not the annoying lady across the hall who always is asking him to quiet. Even if he’s silent. He gets up, Oscar leaning back to peek over the back of the couch to see, and neither of them expect to see you.
"Oh! It's you--uhm, shit," You whisper to yourself before snapping and pointing at him, "Logan!"
"Yes! Yeah, hi, hello," He stammers, cheeks bright red, "it's wonderful to finally meet you in a casual way."
"I heard you in here for the first time since moving in so I figured I'd swing by to say hello!" You grin, rocking from foot to foot. Logan looks at you and his throat goes dry, he doesn't know what to say and his face is red. You want to say something to break the silence but he leans forward to pull something off the side of your hoodie. A tab.
"Reading something new?" He hums, sticking the tab to your palm when you hold it up, "Haven't seen you use blue tabs before."
"Blue's the color the company I'm interning for uses," You giggle, but then pause and flicker your eyes up to him, "Wait, how do you know the color of my tabs?"
"You're reading For The Wolf, if I remember right thats a red book." He says softly, then his cheeks flush red when he realizes it is kinda a weird thing to notice, "I-I... you just always have a book on you, I caught on to paying attention to it. Figured I'd read some to give you some sort of real conversation next time I saw you."
"Well, I recommend For The Wolf. The relationship between Red and Eammon is really... sweet but also kinda dark? It's a good read, I can give you my copy with my little annotations..?" You suggest and Logan nods and he rubs his wrist idly.
"I'm not a big reader but I'll read it for you." He grins and you hold up a finger as you disappear into your room, to grab the book and to hide the fact every word he said made your skin bright red and made your heart feel like it was running a marathon. When he turns back to Oscar he gets a confused look, but before he can say anything you've returned to set the book in his hands.
"Enjoy." You whisper, and as he thanks you, your hands snag his arm and use it to elevate up to press a soft kiss on your cheek before you step back. Smiling at him, bright red cheeks in the low light making his stomach swirl, you disappear back into your apartment. Logan shuts the door, presses his back to it and looks at Oscar.
"I think...I think I've just fallen twice as hard." He whispers and Oscar claps, pointing at Logan and calling him down bad from across the room.
Oscar goes to sleep in Logan's bed, being a guest and all, and Logan sprawls out on the couch. He can't help but crack open the book, finding your little key for your tabs in the front, he trails his fingers along your loopy handwriting and grins to himself. The book starts off normal, pretty innocent, but he starts to realize just whats beneath the surface. With a fucked up sleep schedule to help, he ends up making it about halfway through the book before sleep finally takes him.
And when he wakes up, Oscar's making breakfast and teasing him about staying up too late to finish the book. And truth be told, Logan hated reading, but when it came to you he found he was willing to try. And he found even when Oscar poked fun at him, it didn't feel malicious, it made a warmth in his chest spread. Not that he knew why just yet, other than his silly little crush he'd never felt that jittery feeling.
Maybe it was really love?
Two days later he sees you when you're at work. It's right before the store closes and you're softly playing music as you scrub down the counters. Sunday shifts mean deep cleaning, and so you're stuck a bit later than usual.
"Hope it's not too late, Tiff." Logan says as the bell above him dings to signal he's shut the door. You turn down the music to a low hum as you turn to Logan with a bright grin.
"No, not at all. Still an hour on the clock." You move to make him his drinks as he pulls up a bar chair and sits down, digging in his bag to set down the book on the counter. You peek over and hum,
"How far in are you?" You ask and he can tell you expect him to only be a few chapters in when he says,
"Oh, I'm done."
You whip around, nearly spilling his latte on the counter and gawking at him, "after two days? I thought you said you weren't a reader!"
"I'm not, but your little annotations were so interesting I just kept going." He slides the book to you and notices you have a very similar one perched behind the counter, "Made it a bit easier to read, honestly--is that the same one?"
"The sequel, I actually just finished it." You take For The Wolf and replace it on the counter with For The Throne, "If you want another book to read. I need to know what you thought of Nevarah."
"She was kinda annoying."
"Right!" You groan and he laughs as you stir up his latte and hand it over before pulling out one of the last pastries in the container. It's some cinnamon thing, not that he really cares. It's probably not in his food plan either, but he doesn't care about that. He'd abandon all his rules if it meant he could be spending time with you. As you rant about how you didn't like her in the first book, but kinda did in the second, he leans forward to take in ever word that drips from your lips and you find that he's welcome company for your closing shift.
You're finished early, too, so you sit next to him on the only two stools you haven't lifted up. You'll mop tomorrow, you tell yourself as Logan recounts his reactions to Eammon and Red's connection and you blush when you tell him about one of their scenes you particularly enjoyed.
Which he matches your energy with by saying, "It didn't even say anything explicit and I was like--damn!"
Logan helps you lock up, since the coffee shop is open the latest all you have to do is lock the front door with the alarm system and your keys. He walks you home and bids goodbye in the doorway with For The Throne tucked in his arm and your instagram handle and phone number written on the back of his hand.

He’d started with flowers. He remembered that she liked orange, so he had gifted her some orange lilies, yellow carnations and tiger lilies. The florist had looked at him very weird when he’d asked for those 3 flowers, but wrapped it nonetheless. He’d had no response after leaving them at Logan’s front door, despite the note also left. Lily had looked at him like he was an idiot when he told her what he did.
Then there were some bad jokes sent to her phone. All left on read. Okay maybe sending her some jokes from a book titled ‘bad dad jokes for dads’ was a bad idea but he had just hoped that they would make her laugh. Lily once again looked at him like he was stupid and Alex had also laughed at him when he told them.
He was never taking relationship advice from then.
He started talking to Logan again. It had been a little awkward because he had been broken up with by his sister, but they managed. He was a good running partner and seemed to be able to differentiate between George, his friend, and George, his sister’s ex boyfriend. Alex had smiled and Oscar had winked when they all went out for dinner together. Lewis just waggled his eyebrows.
He googled the flowers. Okay, maybe sending her a bouquet full of hateful flowers was a bad idea. He made sure to actually consult the florist and instead gave her some orange roses, frangipanis and alstroemerias. She answered the door this time and smiled when she saw the flowers.
She invited him in. Talked to him at the kitchen table where he’d made her pancakes on one of the few cheat days that lined up together. She put the flowers in a vase on the table. He could see the old flowers chucked in the bin. She gave a sheepish smile when she followed his gaze to the bin. He couldn't remember what exactly she said, but he left with tickets for her next Arsenal game in his coat pocket.
He went for another jog with Logan that week. Then joined him in the friends and family box for the Arsenal game. Then he went to the Paris Olympics to cheer her on for her second place medal. In return she had come to Miami and cheered him on from the Williams garage. Then she had come to COTA and cheered her brother on from the Mercedes garage. George and Logan had laughed about that.
“Well, now that I’m banned from the Williams and Mercedes garage, I guess it is time to finally time to say, I love you Russel George.”
“Does this mean I'm forgiven?”
“I suppose so.”
“Love you too Y/N Sargeant.”

hey guys!! :D
eeek I’ve had a lot on my mind the past few days so why not share?
—
-New Jersey and New York are florists, New Jersey gardens, New York sells. York is better at people, Jersey is better at plants. They yell at each other in a friendly way.
-york listens to mitski 100%
- since TX, NY, FL, CA, and LA are all usually at the meetings, do u think that NYC, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Houston, and Miami act the same 😭? they’ve been floating around in my head recently and I think that the cities would act just like them. NYC i feel would be more outgoing since he is considered “the greatest city in the world” (Hamilton) and he would have to be very bold but also get humbled very easily by being stupid.
-York gives Cal, on every one of their dates, a different color rose every outing. I can imagine him (on their first date) throwing a red rose at his face and running away.
-he has made flower crowns since he was young, so most states know how to make one bc of him. If they forget, he will teach them.
-York cannot be put on the spot, neither Jersey.
“Spell the word, ‘cat’.”
“I- uh.. I.. ummm.. guys?”
-Starbucks over Dunkin but he would never tell Mass.
-they also have a rivalry on baseball (obviously). it never gets too outta hand since Mass wouldn’t hurt him, but they will yell at each other. York will physically fight with Jersey only, pretty much.
—
anyways, I hope u liked
ALSO!!! I hope you have a good Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, or any other holiday u celebrate!! (I have a friend who celebrates winter solstice)
:P (ily guys)

Rhode Island was not where Sebastian thought that he was going to end up. He thought that he would remain on the sunny beach of Florida for the rest of his life because of how much he loved it. The sun was always beating on his skin and he had a ton of friends there. From a young age, Sebastian was a social butterfly and it was clear because he was always doing something with someone and he was not even shy to say hello to strangers and let them join in on the fun that him and his friends had.
It was clear from a young age that Sebastian was gay because he was playing fake money games with purses with his cousin who was also his best friend. He had no problem showing who he was and he was never once ashamed of it. With how expressive he was about himself, he also took an interest in art and flowers particularly. He loved the beautiful things that could be done with flowers as they were used for many joyous, as well as painful events. He was thinking about the best way that he could use his love for flowers and turn it into a career for himself so when he was looking at the different majors in college, he decided that event planning was it for him.
After college, he set off on a career as an event planner but for some reason something was still missing and he felt like he wasn't working with flowers in the capacity that he wanted to. When he got a call from an ex boyfriend from college and he invited him to Kilmer's Cove for the weekend, he decided to take him up on his offer since well, it was fun whenever they were together and he ended up loving the ambiance of Rhode Island.
After walking around town with his ex and looking at different things the town had to offer, and that's when he laid eyes on the floral stand looking for more florist's. Quickly, Sebastian made his way in there and he was offered the job on the spot. His family was condused as to why he would want to leave Florida, but he felt there was something special about Kilmer's Cove and maybe he could build a life for himself.

"B...Bruce! Pull. Up! I SEE TREES! We almost HIT THAT EAGLE!"
Was all he heard from his terrified flight companion turned in flight entertainment. Her long dark hair was spilling down from it's plastic hair clip and her aviators were sliding down her nose as her hands waved wildly at the clear blue sky that matched her eyes. He couldn't help but grin a slow easy grin at her. She was truly his fish out of water today.
"Man...you're a mermaid, huh?"
"If I'm a mermaid then you're an albatross!"
The belly of the plane was mere inches from the pristine tree line as they roared along with the flight path of the local geese. He had to admit her hometown was a pretty little place. Pulling up they had a better view of some cozy houses along the coastline. In fact they buzzed Minnie's place as they spotted her in the back yard having a cigarette. He decided to show off a smidge and loop a hello before continuing on. The neighbor's grandson now things the Murphy house is the coolest place on earth.
He'd been born in Chicago, moved around to Indiana as a kid and then joined up to the Army on his 18th birthday. He'd been in Florida ever since after he'd come home from his three tours. The woman to his right was about ten years his junior, an internationally licensed boat captain named Mary Colleen Murphy, or Col as she preferred to be called. Currently marveling at the view her face lit up like a kid at Christmas. He could count the dusting of freckles across the bridge of her nose and the fact that her eyes were now tinged a little spring green meant she's calmed down enough to enjoy herself. The fact that they could simply pack a bag and fly out to her hometown from their place in the Hatcher Keys blew her mind. To Bruce it was just another two hour flight that went smoothly.
"I can deal with being a bird. Here's the part you hate..."
He figured ample warning would help settle her stomach. She knew that the most critical time was during take off and landing, it still didn't help her body to know not to gag at an angle normally not achieved.
"I doubt I'll ever get my license. I've a feeling that's not looked kindly on during the final exam?"
Her dry reassurance to him that she was fine. They were traveling light this time, just some luggage and gifts for the family and friends she had to introduce him to. There had been talk to merging her mother's bar, The Gull's Nest and their place The Trade Winds but they had yet to put anything into writing. Minnie was setting to retire and move closer to her own mother in Miami so it only made sense to keep it in the family...unless Harvey Starling, Col's god father wanted first dibs at a turn key operation. Bruce knew Colleen would gladly do that over taking it over. Even though she lived down south nearly 1500 miles away she still cared about the town where she'd grown up.
"BVY tower, N2789 5 miles west, inbound for landing."
The crackle of the controller picking up filled his head. Whoever it was had a hell of a head cold.
"N2789 you're clear for landing. Welcome to Massachusetts."
"I can't just take it from them, Bruce. The Gull's Nest was built by my great grandfather when the town was founded. Second on the waterfront besides the old butcher and green grocer. Did you know the Starling's used to own that? That's how far back our families go...oh my god Harvey! Hel's florist shop is right there...perfect!"
He'd heard her last night as she'd packed for them both. He'd admitted to her that he didn't have a clue about packing for cold weather anymore so she had delighted in walking him through her process and parts of her family's backstory came out as she carefully rolled his shirts and pants up. She'd learned the military packing style. Bulky sweaters went on top to act as a cushion if you were bringing back souvenirs, or in Col's case, if you were bringing a stash of homegrown herb to share with your mother and best friends. Deep down his wife really was a pirate, even if she didn't realize it.
"Who taught you how to pack?"
"Chief Petty Officer James Murphy Sr."
Bruce caught a glimpse of a pirate smile ghost across his companion's face. All he could picture for a moment was his wife in a plumed buccaneers hat with a dainty silver dagger between her teeth. Perhaps he'd just given himself a new tattoo idea.
"He was a Navy man...then he came home became a cop and met my mom."
"All American boy."
"Guess you could say that. My mother was almost a nun until she met him."
"Damn beats Mel and Rita's story. She was a barmaid and he was bootlegger."
"Two sides of the same coin, Miller."
The tidy landing strip was fast approaching as the landing gear came out. Wheels touched down and all was well. Another one down in the flight logs.
In their combined down time from the bar they did flight and boat charters together under the Trade Wind Tours name for the tourists. They weren't above doing a favor to a friend or two with flying in goods. Colleen was going to be needed if his buddy Whit ever gave up his wings. She had also expressed an interest in doing angel flights for sick and needy children.
"You'd be surprised. My first time I puked out of a bird just straight up didn't care about anything except not wearing it. Bulls eye on an enemy from above. I can still see his face...I still feel bad about that."
"You were under heavy fire in a military war plane. Vastly different as I'm not open and exposed."
Reaching out to pat his jean clad thigh she sighed.
"You'd be amazed at people can forgive. I'm sure you were the least of his worries back then. You both just wanted to get home."
He'd forgotten she'd been a nurse and just how deeply her compassion ran. He smirked and patted her back as they pulled upwards
"If it makes you feel better I get sea sick."
A deep chortle sounded in his head that warmed him.
"Always keep above deck where you can see the horizon and get fresh air or keep to the middle of the boat."
He heard the snicking flick of her lighter.
"You forget we're still in an airspace?"
"Nope. But I figured out my window. Until they come out with a flameless option I'm sticking with hand rolls. Helps my stomach and in all honesty I think you may need some when we're on solid ground. You're wide eyed and your eyebrows are touching your hairline. I love you, Minnie loves you...my Grandmother loves you, Harvey and Helene are going to adore you too."
Directing towards the hangar Bruce shook his head.
"The last thing I need to do is meet the town chief of police smelling like your home grown, Col."
Wide innocent eyes met his as she held out the joint with a smile. Her next sentence made his face fall momentarily.
"But he's my god father...and I know the perfect spot."
Nimble tanned hands rolled two more joints as they were directed into the proper hangar by the ground crew, a rather an elderly portly white haired fellow wearing safety orange muffs with 'Willy' stitched into his green coveralls. Waving his sticks he looked almost like a Yankee blue collar ballerina. A thankful two finger wave and they had some privacy.
"Thanks Willy!"
Colleen called as she hopped out earning a Roebucker smile her way, Willy's teeth matched his shocking white hair before he hobbled back into the warmth of the hangar office. Col had grabbed her small shoulder bag and her flash light before taking off out of sight. Giving him a bird whistle he saw her crook her finger from inside what looked like a solid tree line.
"Join me on a side quest brave traveller."
Snow crunched under their feet as he followed Colleen. She evidently knew exactly where they were going to end up. A twisting path lead to a rough stone walking path the lead to a rumbling sound.
"Watch your step here..."
Her left hand reached out to touch a large pine tree with 'HS + JL' carved into the bark and it made him smile to see her reconnect with a tangible object from her past. The initials were newly carved into the bark, especially the JL. From the look on Col's face HS finally found a love well deserved.
"Where...what...wow."
Looming overhead was a weather beaten lighthouse sitting at the mouth of the harbor. It's light cutting through the fog that was setting in. Between the two of them they'd planned the timing perfectly.
"This is Tortoise Harbor light...or Turtle Point. I've mentioned it a few times in my stories of home but well...this used to be our secret spot. Me and Helene Starling. A little birdie told me that there's still heat in it."
Knocking the snow from their boots they ventured into and up to the top of the ancient lighthouse on the point. Outside the winds had picked up and the sound of rain was almost indistinguishable against the sound of the surf hitting the rocky coastline.
"We used to come up here all the time watching for our Dads when they sailed away or came back in. I guess it was our clubhouse...in some way it still is."
The very top held a battered fold out couch upholstered in a rather interesting shade of pea soup green and outfitted with numerous blankets and throw pillows. A handmade three tier shelf held ancient paperbacks along with a wire spool coffee table with bar ashtray advertising 'the regal taste of Reinhardt beer'. tucked to the left hand side by the railing away from the light. The floor below still held a snug little alcove with a lamp and a few layered feather beds for the nights that were especially tough going home.
"We used to have a working kitchen and bathroom downstairs but that's been boarded up since we were in our 20's. That's the past though."
Settling herself down onto the couch she sighed before inviting him to sit down as she lit the joint. He'd have wondered what she looked like young and carefree and unscarred but she seemed to bloom before him. Healed and restored. The smell of her homegrown hit him right between the eyes and he smiled as curled in next to him. The storm raging outside as they flew higher together allowing their inner teenagers to bond for the first time.

How to Choose Sympathy Flowers for a Memorial Service or Funeral
Choosing sympathy flowers in Miami for a memorial service or funeral can be a thoughtful and meaningful way to express condolences and show support to the bereaved. Here are some tips to help you choose the right sympathy or funeral flowers in Miami:
Consider the relationship:
Think about your relationship with the deceased and their family. If you were close to the deceased, you may want to choose a more personalized flower arrangement, such as their favorite flowers or colors. If you are not as close, you may want to choose a more traditional arrangement.
Check the funeral home's guidelines:
It is vital to verify with the funeral home before ordering or sending flowers as some have rules on the type of flowers that are permitted.
Choose appropriate colors:
Traditionally, funeral flowers are white, but other muted and somber colors such as deep purple, burgundy, navy blue, and dark green are also appropriate. Some other suitable options include:
Dark red or maroon: symbolizes love and respect for the deceased.
· Dark yellow or orange: represents the sun and can be used to express optimism and hope.
· Dark pink: symbolizes love, grace, and elegance.
· Lavender: represents refinement, grace, and elegance.
· Dark blue: symbolizes trust, wisdom, and faith.
It's important to avoid using bright and cheerful colors such as bright red, orange, yellow, and pink, as they may be seen as inappropriate for the occasion.
Consider the type of flower arrangement:
Flowers can be arranged in a variety of ways, such as in wreaths, sprays, baskets, and vases. Consider the floral arrangement's size and style, alongside the location of the service. A larger arrangement may be better suited for a funeral home or church, whilst a smaller arrangement may be better suited for a private service.
Choose a floral arrangement your loved one would’ve adored:
Choose flowers that your loved one was particularly fond of or had a special meaning to them. Consider their personality and style. Were they more traditional or contemporary in their tastes? Traditional colors for sympathy flowers include white, blue, purple, and pink, but you can also choose colors that reflect your loved one's personality or favorite colors. Ultimately, the most important thing is to choose a floral arrangement that comes from the heart and expresses your condolences and sympathy.
Add a personal touch:
Think about including a card or personal note with the flowers to offer your sympathy and support. You might also think about including a sentimental object in the arrangement, like a photo or keepsake.
Order early:
It's important to order sympathy flowers in Miami early to ensure that they arrive in time for the service. Some florists may offer same-day or next-day delivery, but it's always best to plan ahead.
Remember that the most important thing is to express your condolences and support in a thoughtful and respectful way. Sympathy or funeral flowers in Miami can be a beautiful and meaningful way to do so.

To Have and to Hold: Ch. 7 Captured
By Skyler10
Summary: Honeymoon destination revealed, Bobbi and Hunter come back into the picture ;) (pun intended), and Daisy and Carol stretch that Mature-for-sexy-times rating after some dressing and undressing.
Read on Ao3
------
Spring indulged the city with a sneak preview of its glory with a sunny, warm week to end March. All knew that it wasn’t here to stay just quite yet, but it was coming in full soon, a promise, a kiss of days approaching.
For the past rainy week, Carol had dedicated her free time to honeymoon planning. She knew they wanted something relaxing, beachy, and new to both of them. After her talk with Daisy about making more decisions regarding the wedding, though, she was careful not to lean too hard on Daisy to make the final call. She clicked through search results for LGBTQ-friendly honeymoon destinations. There was no point in looking at islands that didn’t want them there in the first place. Every destination listed in Europe looked gorgeous but far away. Within the US, Hawaii seemed ideal but also far in the other direction. Miami seemed within their budget and fun, but not as relaxing. And hot and humid. They needed something farther north.
One website offered just the thing: Pegasus Resort on Cape Cod, especially run by and for LGBTQ couples. They would take a ferry boat ride to and from the cape. Besides planning their activities, all she would have to do is book their flights and hotels. And a dinner for the resort’s upscale restaurant, of course. The other restaurants were more casual, and Provincetown had more options, but a special romantic dinner was basically a requirement for their honeymoon.
Carol heard Daisy come in from her yoga class and called to her. “Hey! How was yoga?”
“Hi. Good.” Daisy walked into the dining area where Carol was sitting at the table with her laptop and snacks. She leaned down to peck a kiss to Carol’s cheek.
“I’ve got a honeymoon plan ready if you want to hear it?”
“Ooo honeymoon? Uh, yes, obviously.” Daisy scooted one of the other chairs next to Carol’s so she could see the screen and took a few grapes from the snack plate.
Carol took her through the Pegasus Resort website, photos of the area, and a few ideas of things to do.
“And best of all, it fits the budget.”
Daisy’s eyes widened. “For real? Babe, I’m so impressed. I’ve never been to Cape Cod.”
“Me either! It’s not set in stone yet, so if you want to change anything, we can, but if not, I’m going to get it booked.” Carol’s mouse hovered over the Book Now button.
Daisy bounced in excitement. “Yes, book it! While it’s still miraculously affordable.”
Carol set to work filling out the information. Daisy weighed in when necessary, and soon enough, they had all the transportation and accommodation confirmation emails in their inboxes.
Carol relaxed into her chair. “Whew, it feels good to have that done.”
Daisy stood and reminded her, “Next up, our appointment with Bobbi and Hunter to talk about decorations and photos. We have about half an hour.”
“Half an hour, huh?” Carol let her eyes linger over Daisy’s sports bra, bare midriff, and form-fitting yoga pants.
“Unh-uh,” Daisy shut down her line of thinking. “I have to actually shower and get ready, and that is not enough time. Tonight. After.”
Carol stood and kissed Daisy with a promise on her lips. “Tonight it is.”
Daisy smiled against her and pulled away reluctantly. The clock was ticking and they couldn’t miss this crucial appointment.
—-----------
When Daisy and Carol arrived at the cottage and half-acre grounds that now served as Bobbi and Hunter’s office, they learned Hunter was out shooting some B-roll for another wedding video, but Bobbi was ready for action. She had only been in the business a few years, hence her availability so soon to their date, but she already had a system for each element: decoration packages, florists she worked with, photoshoot options… she even had suggestions based on their colors. She may not have had a long resume in the business, but she certainly had the skills, style, and strategy to be a rising star within it.
Daisy lit up at Bobbi’s guidance and competence. Carol still didn’t know the difference between a dahlia and a peony, but seeing Daisy happy was all that mattered to her. Being out of her element didn’t help with her resolution to be a more active participant, however, so she relied on Bobbi’s photos for visual references.
After hours of decoration options and floral arrangement talk, Bobbi sent them outside to walk around the grounds for a break. Bobbi said it would help her get a sense for how they interacted naturally. She’d be nearby if they needed anything, and she would shoot a few practice candids but not close enough to hear them talk.
The spring breeze was still chilly enough for them to wear their leather jackets (brown and relaxed fit for Carol, black and stylishly cut for Daisy), but the fresh air helped them unwind. They made their way down a dirt path to a pond lined with willows. Carol slipped her hand into Daisy’s as they walked and tried not to be self-conscious that Bobbi was watching them.
“So,” Daisy began as they reached the pond, “what are you thinking of all this? You’ve been quiet.”
“Right now,” Carol stalled, “I’m thinking about how your hand fits in mine and how beautiful this all is. If we weren’t already here to plan our wedding, I might propose.” She leaned in toward Daisy and winked.
Daisy smiled but didn’t let her off the hook that easily. “And what about in there?” She tilted her head toward the cottage. “I know this isn’t really your thing, but I want you to be happy with it too.”
Carol tried to put some of the terms together correctly. “I think the corsage ideas are exactly what your mom, grandma, and Aunt Wendy and Victoria would all wear, which is a wide range of personalities, so that’s something. And the… mmm… hanging things for the chapel walls? Also good. How about you?”
“Yeah, for sure.” Daisy squinted against the sun as she looked out to the pond. “I’m honestly not sure we need decorations for the aisle. The chapel is so small, you know? I also wanted to ask you first, before Bobbi brings it up, what do you think about a unity candle in the ceremony? Or something like that?”
“Unity candle? I don’t know. Tell me more.” Carol furrowed her brow and tuned in. The flowers and ribbons and table centerpieces were one thing, but ceremony symbolism and meaning-laden rituals were another.
Daisy let go of Carol’s hand and held up two imaginary candlesticks. “Okay, so we’d each have our own candles lit before the ceremony, or we can light them, but the point is we would use them together at the same time to light a bigger middle candle. The important part to me is that we don’t blow out the individual candles.”
“Ah. Right!” Carol followed the metaphor. “So we’re still individual people, but also we’re a couple. And getting married doesn’t change that we’re each our own person.”
“Exactly.” Daisy shrugged. “If you want to. If that’s too cliche or cheesy, we don’t have to, though.”
“No, no, I like it. So Bobbi’s going to ask us to pick out candles then, right? Because I have to be honest, I haven’t given much thought to wax color and consistency or height or whatever.”
Daisy smiled and slipped her arms around Carol’s waist. “I don’t think we need to stress about it too much. They are pretty basic and I have one or two in mind.”
“Thank you.” Carol leaned in and kissed Daisy sweetly. “And the candle is accurate because you light me up.”
Daisy pulled back but kept her arms firmly around Carol. “The fire-themed puns are already starting?”
“Well, you do set my heart aflame,” Carol explained.
“Here we go,” Daisy sighed.
“One, this was your idea, and two, you are the light of my life. You might even say my love burns for you.”
“Done?”
“For now, yes. For the rest of our lives? Just getting started.” Carol assured.
Daisy rolled her eyes and kissed her. When they parted, she shook her head. “Now you’ve got me thinking of them too.”
“Yes! I want to hear it!”
Daisy dropped into a sultry voice. “Babe, you’re the hottest thing since fire was discovered.”
Carol tried not to laugh. “Okay, we’ll work on it, but a solid start. A+ for the sexy tone, though.”
“Thank you,” Daisy said proudly and then noticed the sun was lowering in the sky. “We should wrap this up. But I haven’t forgotten about tonight.”
“Me either.” Carol winked.
They walked back to the cottage to finish their appointment with Bobbi and discuss photo poses and locations. Bobbi showed them the practice shots she had taken of their break, and they scheduled some photos of the two of them in normal clothes and some in their gowns.

On Sunday afternoon, picking outfits for the photoshoot (besides the wedding gowns, of course) led to a full circle moment. As Daisy sat on the bed looking at makeup pro tips and couple posing ideas, Carol put on her deep red jumpsuit and black blazer that looked like the one she had tried on in white at the bridal shop.
“How about this?” she asked to get Daisy’s attention. Daisy looked up from her computer and took in Carol’s outfit.
“Yes, please.” She didn’t hide her lingering gaze. “I know exactly what I would wear with that one too.”
“Yeah?” Carol stepped in front of the closet door mirror, which was long enough to reflect the whole outfit.
Daisy set her laptop on the bedside table and walked up behind Carol. “Three words. Little. Black. Dress.”
Carol’s eyes met hers in the mirror. “But which one?”
“My turn to try on.” She closed the closet door behind her so it would be a surprise until she had it on. When she opened it, Carol was sitting on the side of the bed, idly scrolling through the poses Daisy had left open on her computer.
“How’s this?” Daisy asked, one hand on her hip with the other gesturing down the dress. Carol’s eyes followed her hand and continued down Daisy’s strong legs. Daisy had added heels for maximum effect, highlighting her calves.
Carol walked over and stood beside her in the mirror. “Very sexy. Look at that power couple. Damn.”
Daisy turned and pulled Carol in by the hips for a surprise kiss and then backed away just as quickly. “Okay, we have to pick out the casual outfits before I jump you for real.”
“We have time for both,” Carol pointed out and took off the blazer. She hung it on the hanger and then took off her jumpsuit. “Your choice. I can put on my shirt or not.”
“Stop,” Daisy whined. “You know I’m highly distractable. Shirt on first, I find something that looks good with it, and then I take it off. In that order.”
“Yes, ma’am.” Carol winked. She decided to speed up the process by walking into the closet and picking out a navy and lavender plaid button-up for herself and a blouse in a matching lavender top for Daisy. “I figured out we have these weeks ago and thought they might be good.”
“Our wedding colors! Wow, these colors really are us.”
Carol handed her the blouse. “And I figured we’d just wear jeans with them.”
Daisy took off her black dress and heels and put on the blouse. She passed Carol and picked out a pair of jeans from the closet. “Hmm, these.”
They were not her most comfy jeans for everyday wear, but they complemented her form in the right ways for a photoshoot. Carol picked a similar pair for herself.
When they were dressed, they stood in the mirror together again.
“What do you think?” Daisy asked.
“I think this is it.” Carol flattened her collar. Daisy turned to check out how her outfit looked from the back, and Carol wet her lips. “God, those jeans were made for your butt. I’m always both jealous and turned on when you wear those. It’s very confusing.”
Daisy laughed. “Like you can talk.” She swiftly squeezed Carol’s round bum in her tight jeans.
“Hey!” Carol laughed. “Okay. That’s a casual outfit, a dressy outfit, and our wedding dresses. That’s enough, right? We still have two hours until we’re meeting Elena and Mack for dinner and to talk about the ceremony.”
“Yep,” Daisy popped the p. She grabbed a small black gym bag with rainbow handles they had gotten free at Pride but hadn’t used. “Anything we need for the photoshoot can go in here, and we can hang the other clothes in the garment bags with the bridal gowns.”
“Good plan.” Carol took the bag from Daisy and dropped it near the foot of the bed. “Okay, that’s enough dressing. Time for undressing.”
Daisy kissed her and, as promised, unbuttoned her shirt until it was free. Carol took it and her undershirt off, and Daisy stripped off her own blouse and paused to kiss her again. She pulled away to hang the shirts on hangers so they wouldn’t wrinkle. Impatient, Carol wrapped her arms around Daisy from behind and unbuttoned her jeans while she was hanging the shirts. Daisy grinded back against her in retaliation, and Carol kissed her neck.
“You know,” Daisy said, turning to unbutton Carol’s jeans in return. “This would go faster if we did one thing at a time.”
“Okay.” Carol took off her jeans, laid them out on the bed, and stuck out her bum as she leaned over the bed and slowly and deliberately rolled them into a tight, neat log. She raised an eyebrow at Daisy, who was staring with her own jeans around her ankles.
“Point made.” Daisy rolled up her jeans quickly and stuck both pairs in the bag. “We can worry about shoes later.”
“Exactly.” Carol led her to the bed and in seconds, they were entangled, with hands tugging at undergarments and lips meeting again and again and thighs slotting naturally between each other.
Daisy had an odd thought cross her mind that she was grateful to not only be born in an era and culture where they didn’t have to hide their relationship and could be married but also one in which they didn’t have to wait until marriage to have this. Not that it had ever been particularly accepted for queer couples to marry as long as they refrained from premarital sex, but it was more that she was relieved that figuring out sex wasn’t part of their wedding stress. Getting married had plenty of complications and emotions attached without that element.
“What are you thinking about?” Carol asked as she saw the pensive expression on Daisy’s face. Carol stroked up and down Daisy’s side, and Daisy’s expression softened.
“Just that I’m so glad we don’t have to figure this part out on our wedding night.”
Carol involuntarily let out a little laugh and then agreed. “We would not have made it this long if we were supposed to wait.”
“True, but can you imagine having to worry about not even knowing what to do and having our first time after all of this? Months of planning and scheduling vendors and life commitment, then to also be like sooo how does sex work anyway?” Daisy ran her fingers up Carol’s stomach to her breast and teased her nipple in emphasis.
“That is way too much pressure for a honeymoon.” Carol rolled on top of Daisy and teased her inner thighs before working in to her warm, wet core. “Knowing every part of you, years of memorizing every sigh and gasp and moan… that’s what our honeymoon is going to be, and I wouldn’t trade one messy, imperfect night of all the time it took learning each other.”
Daisy bucked her hips into Carol’s touch and let out one of those moans. “Fuck, yes. Mmmn!”
It hadn’t always been sexy to learn what they liked in sex, and they still tried new positions and toys on occasion that might or might not be for them, but their “Is this normal? How do we even do this?” days were worked out in college, during dates that turned into sleepovers and late nights studying for anatomy exams turned “studying” each other’s anatomy, so to speak. They had been young and awkward and new to it all together, and they found through experience what online advice in sapphic sex articles worked and didn’t for them. Now, as an established couple about to be married, they hardly had to think anymore about what to do with their hands, getting twisted up in the sheets, or being embarrassed or self-conscious about their bodies. Their legs and arms and lips and tongues seemed to just simply fit, as if they were made to be intertwined in lovemaking. But every movement and muscle memory was from years of vulnerable communication, awareness, and practice bringing them higher and higher out of the awkwardness of inexperience into the ecstasy of expertise.
The wisdom from experience helped Carol time Daisy’s orgasm just so she was desperate but not frustrated. And it helped Daisy know when to reach for one of their vibrators, and which one, when Carol needed more to finally crest over the edge of pleasure. After Carol came, they kissed deeply, letting their tongues play, as the vibe still buzzed beside them. Daisy retrieved it and placed it between them, aligning with Carol’s folds so it was securely held against them both. She knew by now exactly where to put it and how to keep it there with their position.
“That took practice, for example,” Daisy panted.
“It did, mmmhmm,” Carol agreed, turning it into a moan of pleasure.
Daisy did have to adjust it as her hips bucked, but they ended up coming together nearly at the same time, a rare feat, providing further emphasis that the work they had put in over the years was well worth every awkward, weird, imperfect moment it took to get there.

That night, as Carol was in the shower, Daisy had an idea of what her wedding gift to her would be. She searched her favorite wedding websites for the new-to-her term: boudoir photography. She’d seen packages on Bobbi’s website, and looking into it, she thought Carol would appreciate it. It was a bit challenging to find pose ideas for brides that didn’t seem porny or made for the male gaze, but she could do the solo ones herself, and then if Carol was interested in some together, they could finish the shoot after the wedding with some creativity and adapting.
