Started the day off strong with another lesson debating my basic human rights, followed by a lesson with a rude comment made by my tutor :) I am slowly but surely loosing it at this point. If there weren’t only 9 weeks of school left until exam prep/spring break starts I would drop out by now. I’m so so tired of being disrespected on a daily basis and having my rights questioned all the time. It’s just tiring. Well- Except for latin class where we discussed Epikurs philosophy and compared it to the situation in the US, all of my classes were rather horrible. Maybe not content wise but definitely on a social basis…

Despite that I got started on my German homework: reading the first chapter of The Metamorphosis by Kafka. There are 7 pages left to read and I’ve already written more than a page of notes; I just love Kafka and his works! It took a lot longer than expected so I will finish the remaining pages, my latin homework and biology notes tomorrow since I’ll be home by 12.

This past year and three months have been such an awakening for Jewish people, but one with a certain flair of absurdity. It feels like un-reality, like a wicked nightmare you can't wake up from. It's like the entire world has lost its mind and when you try to tell them this isn't normal, that what they're doing is wrong, they twist reality itself to say that no it is actually normal, it is you who is wrong. They dehumanize you, treat you as a symbol of evil and disgust. It's like we all woke up a year ago no longer humans, something else, something vile, like a bug, like a... oh. oh.
