Guilt consumed Vincent whenever he lied to Renee. Vincent thought it was risky to let her know about investigating the secret basement with Isaac. She'd want to help and that meant gathering unwanted attention from the police and the media. When they arrived, Vincent sat there in his car, shoulders slumped. He tried to think. He strained to think. But seeing his childhood home only triggered traumatic events from his past, obscuring all his plans for the day.

"Isaac…I don't think I'm ready today," he said, hiding the tremor in his voice. "It's okay, we can take our time to solve it," Isaac had his own nerves seeing Vincent's childhood home; they were facing the unknown after all. "I'm ready whenever you are."

Listen yall, these books mention how the Alphas are like as pure Jango you can get (Ill have to double check but I'm pretty sure they say it once) And ALSO describe the Nulls as the Kaminoans messing with them too much and being broader and heavier as a result and MY brain latched onto this fact by going "Wait, does that mean the Alphas are smaller than the Nulls?" I find this so funny cause all I can think of is Alpha-17 being shorter than like say Mereel for instance and this 5'8 man just THROWING Mereel off of Tipoca City like he's a particularly unruly bag of flour and I love this image so much it brings me so much join

Because I'm feeling a little brave tonight, I will also post some stuff I've been working on.

This is literally the first time I've ever posted my writing. (Unless you scroll back on this blog far enough and see the first smut I ever wrote LOL good luck finding it) (hint: it's definitely about a certain necromancer dkfjddkjf)

ANYWAY this isn't smut but I'm putting it beneath the read more because it's a bit of a wall-o-text. So. yeah. Here we gooooo

Two knocks and the door to Emmrich's quarters creaked open. Then- “Emmrich?” Rook’s voice floated up from below the stairs.

“Hello, dearest!” Emmrich leaned over the top of the stairs, smiling down at her.

“I found a new room, next to the library.”

“Really!”

“Full of weird old stuff. And!! No one else knows about it yet.”

Emmrich came down the stairs in record time.

“Oh, I also remembered that you’d told me how you enjoyed the view of The Fade from your balcony- well, the view from this room is really something. You’ll love it,” She promised.

A short while later, they descended the stairs on the right of the Library and without warning, the wall shifted, revealing a tunnel of light amidst various boxes stacked in the little room.

Rook had, at some point, taken Emmrich’s hand in her own.She looked back at him and smiled, open and unguarded. He returned her smile, squeezing her hand in his.

As they passed through what he assumed was a small, purposeful Fade tear strategically placed by the library, he simultaneously realized two truths: One, he would follow her anywhere. Two, whatever this was between them, it more than a passing fancy or a coupling brought on by proximity and the possible end of the world. How things might work out remained to be seen but Emmrich was committed to seeing it through.

They appeared to now be in a storeroom or office of some sort. The desk and chair indicated as much, anyway. He had intended to poke around, (so many artifacts!) but Rook had other ideas, it seemed. She promised they’d come back to thoroughly look over everything in the room.

She opened the door at the other end of the room and with a glance over her shoulder, beckoned him outside.

The view from the balcony just outside the hidden alcove was quite lovely. Emmrich said as much, but he barely had a chance to get the words out before Rook had grabbed his hand and pulled him back into the alcove.

“Rook, what are you-“ Amused, he let her direct him and found himself standing before her.

“So…I may have had an ulterior motive in bringing you here.” Her hands were toying with the buttons on his waist coat.

“I would have followed you anyway.”

That earned Emmrich a rare blushing smile from Rook. Honest compliments from him always seemed to bring out a coyness in her. It was endearing and if he was honest, more than a little alluring.

She took ahold of his hands, pulling him with her as she backed them into the wall. She placed his hands at her waist and then slid her own up his body until they came to a stop on his chest.

“I just wanted to get you alone, somewhere no one could find us.”

She had looked up at him then with a self-satisfied little smile; she wasn’t sorry at all, and well, neither was he. He knew when he was being seduced and he would let himself enjoy this moment. It had been some time since someone pursued him. He hadn’t realized how much he missed it until now.

Emmrich leaned closer to her, his heartbeat rising as she pressed the length of her body against his. Suddenly he had forgotten all about the artifacts.

“Well, you have me. Now the question is… what will you do with me?”

Reaching up, Rook slid a hand around the back of his neck, sending a thrill through right down his spine.

Her eyes fluttered shut as she briefly nuzzled her nose against his.

“Definitely kiss you.” And she did- a soft, slow press of her lips that lingered just long enough. “I wonder…do you think anyone could hear us from up here?”  

Emmrich felt her smile against his mouth.

“That…is a rather intriguing hypothesis.” He breathed, leaning in for another kiss. 

Rook gently nipped at his lower lip, causing a huff of laughter to escape him.

“Better start experimenting, then.”

how the hell am i supposed to tell my ex best friend that the only reason i don’t think we’ll ever be able to be friends again is bc of her weird ass fiancé/husband (i don’t fucking know anymore) who was dating her when she was 15 and he was 19… like she might be coming over tuesday bc my grandmother asked her to (bc we went to the store she works at and we ran into her) and if he comes with her i don’t know what the fuck i’ll do bc there is no way in hell im letting him around me or in my room ever again 😭😭

That post that was like "how long was mihawk in OPLA just sitting there listening to usopp say random stuff" has made me notice all the times in the early episodes before they were really actually public figures when the strawhats are just being insane while totally unrelated people are in earshot nearby. Like instead of me just seeing them being crazy and forgetting who's around, im really loving realizing stuff like how both Smoker AND Crocodile were in the room while Luffy was doing his Sanji impression. it's so absolutely torturous only having $650 left on my car loan but being entirely unable to pay ANYTHING towards it due to lack of day job like. me outright owning my little disaster of a car is RIGHT THERE ;0; not to mention not having to worry about the $300 monthly payments, so it'd free that non-existent money up, which would be sooooooo life changing :")
