Another year is over so it's time for a look back at what was happening on this blog! I haven't really been around, it was just my queue, and maybe that's one reason why I looked at my archive and went "huh" at everything. I don't remember much. The other reason why this year probably went poof in my head is because I was dealing with some mental health stuff lol. I say lol but it wasn't actually very lol but I'm doing better now and 2024...is looking promising for now.

So, let's talk more under the cut, shall we?

January

We're in Bridgeport and Sawyer is living his best life. You know, girlfriends, boyfriends, being turned into a vampire, giving birth to three little vampires, threatening to sell his enemies' organs on the black market...best life indeed.

February

Okay I am now seeing that "talking more" about every month will be impossible since I actually don't have much recollection of 2023 lmao

March

Sawyer and Erin are at the best point of their relationship, but we left them alone for a bit and went back to NSB. Pastel just moved to Strangerville and got a...rather strange roommate.

April

The rather strange roommate becomes Pastel's rather strange wife. I love these two so much. We also say hello to Moss -- and also to Ross, who returns from...god knows where. I mean yeah, there was the ts3 Ross, but technically they're two different people. Parallel universes and stuff.

May

Thea is born and strange wife Jesse gets even stranger. That whole "merging with the mother plant" thing was kinda weird but I really enjoyed it. Idk what I was on but it was fun. And then, before returning to the lepacy, I posted my Cottage Living screenshots! ...which were really just me going "uwu what does this do" on every possible Wicked Whims option.

...and I went from posting weird WW Ross stuff to posting wholesome Growing Together Ross stuff. If that gave you a whiplash, I am sorry, but imagine what it must be like for me. I'm locked with this guy in my head 24/7. He's the whiplash king. A blorbo to you, a curse to me. A beloved curse tho. Ok I'm getting weird. Back to the lepacy.

Lepacy time! Loved the soap opera Generations gen. Kinda wish I had sticked to some of the storylines instead of going "eh nvm I just wanna play". I'm not saying I regret not actually letting Saywer go on a killing spree but also...imagine if he went on a killing spree. You don't see that in lepacies often do ya

August

August was...welp 💀 I was at the grippy socks hospital for most of that month, 10/10 would recommend, but my queue ran out while I was there so I just reblogged some old stuff for a few weeks.

September

September is just lepacy month. Cornelia and Archer are happy, they get married, they get more children...yeah. Good wholesome Generations times all around. It's not like they're gonna get divorced later or anything.

October

The twins are kind of chaotic, one of them turns into a ghost, both then bring their cursed imaginary friends to life...and the final child of Archer and Cornelia is born.

November

I loved running into Sawyer at the grocery store all the time. Weird vampire alleged killer grandpa behavior suits him. Dorothea goes away to a boarding school, hates it there and instantly comes back. Relatable. Oh and midlife crisis hits Archer hard.

December

And we're in December! Dorothea enters her horsegirl era and finds herself a girlfriend...and we'll continue that in 2024!

What's in store for the new year besides the lepacy? Well, Not So Berry will be making a return (and HOPEFULLY we'll finally get to the end. we need to). There's a story I want to do in the NSB universe, if you know you know. Before we dive into the next lepacy generation, I'm thinking of another BC with the gen 7 heir...oh and Marika's Black Widow. Shoot and I'm starting an irl job in January. Yeah no we're not doing all this in 2024, don't count on it 💀 But I'll try.

Armstrong Household Update (1/7/25)

I've done lots of playing off camera, y'all. Lots has happened. If you aren't caught up with this household, this is my lepacy challenge! We are starting the second generation and currently playing base game.

The house got a facelift!

I used lifetime reward points to give both Luna and Matteo an inheritance. The house needed a serious renovation.

I am not great at furnishing houses, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm going to show the whole house when I finally sit down and make the next video.

Three's a crowd...

Luna and Matteo finally had their babies together! Surprise--they're triplets (oh god). They're going to have their hands full teaching them their skills. I named them Evelyn, Amelia, and Hazel.

Olivia and Oliver are about to age up into teens, so hopefully they can help with the younger ones. That also brings Luna to two children for her lifetime wish! Four more teens to go.

Quinn aged up to a child and is out on a fishing trip with Matteo since he got the angler trait (not from Matteo but from secret daddy locked in the basement). I wanted to get pictures but I've spent all day figuring out Reshade and I simply didn't want to do all that.

I'm very excited to move forward with the next generation. I'm thinking of playing with Olivia. I'm also thinking of some drama to create, but I'm not sure what yet. I have a hard time when my sims don't get along because I have problems!

Crumplebottom Lepacy - Agnes 1.1

 I decided to do a lepacy again but with a pre-made this time.

It's time Agnes Crumplebottom got some happiness

Agnes' home was so quiet ever since Erik died and she spent a lot of time locked inside

However, Agnes sister, Cornelia, convinced her to at least make some friends

'I suppose she's right. Someone to visit wouldn't be too bad...'

While out getting groceries, she ran into Geoffrey Landgraab

There were hearts

Mortimer may have judged her a little

Agnes also met Zelda Mae, who became her quick friend

Agnes still spent most of her time doing her hobbies though

Geoffrey and Agnes were spending a lot more time together

So much so that things were getting romantic

It soon turned into an affair

It was only after this began that Erik decided to show up

Agnes wanted to go to the graveyard and barely survived

Besides her career in the medical field, Agnes had a passion for writing and thought to write her own novels

Agnes and Geoffrey carried on their affair, under the ever oblivious eye of his wife Nancy

ever get locked out of your sims 3 from the pesky ea app so you decide to buy it over on origin? yeah. that's what happened to me. i've decided to start a new all-in-one/lEPacy challenge following the rules from the hix completionist challenge. we'll mainly following the bring me pictures of llamaman objectives with some assistance from the others as well.

Lockwood Lepacy (p. 4)

That night, Flynn felt inspired and took Justin out for another swimming date. He proposed, and Justin jumped in excitement before accepting the proposal.

While having breakfast, I suddenly noticed that Ho Sung was eating waffles with chopsticks. A fun little detail for Asian sims! But it seems impractical for waffles.

The next Lockwood baby was born; another baby boy, by the name of Skyler. As Red and Ho Sung were exhausted after the birth, Connor sat with baby Skyler in the rocking chair.

Jensen's birthday came soon after, and he grew up into a gorgeous child, now looking even more like his father. His third trait is friendly.

From now on, Ho Sung had to make reports about the people of Twinbrook. He started off by visiting his neighbor and digging through his trash. After being caught, he apologized and talked to the man of the Prudence household, questioning him later.

Ho Sung called his son over to the neighbor's and he became friends with Pansy Prudence.

To get ahead of the handiness skill, Jensen spent a lot of time playing with blocks.

Mare reached the top of the culinary career and became a Five-Star Chef. Feeling accomplished, she decided to spend the rest of her life with her husband and family and retired.

Baby Skyler grew up into a toddler, and we discovered he had the iconic red Lockwood locks!

Connor ate some vegetarian chili, and it was hot!!!!!!

The family went out to the Fall Festival on a Tuesday afternoon. Skyler wasn't all too happy about this, as he despises the outdoors. Red and Connor participated in the apple bobbing contest, and Connor won!

Flynn had gotten a promotion to Elementary School Teacher and arrived shortly after work to celebrate with his family. His father instead passed away of old age and he held his sister as they mourned his death.

Jensen made some friends in school and decided to have a sleepover with Guy and Philip. For some reason, the boys decided to sleep outside in 3 degrees celcius weather. The party ended up being a huge success, and Jensen would forever be known (in elementary school) as the best party host ever.

Flynn and Justin's wedding rolled around and they decided to hold it at the newly opened pool in Twinbrook. Before the wedding started, Mare relaxed by the pool and Jensen made good use of the splash slide.

It started raining and storming out of nowhere, so Justin and Flynn quickly got to their vows and tied the knot as they got absolutely soaked.

After their wedding, they went home and adopted a beautiful toddler. They named her Marissa, after Flynn's mother, Mare, and moved in the empty home next door, ready to start their family.

Finally feeling like her life was completely fulfilled, after reaching two large goals and seeing both of her children get married and have children, Mare passed away peacefully. Red kept the urn in her living room and often cried when the room was empty of other house members.

Red and Skyler's birthdays came soon. Red grew up into an adult and started a midlife crisis, which she wasn't very happy about. Skyler grew up into a child and gained the Brave trait.

Two days later, Jensen and Ho Sung's birthdays came, too. They celebrated Jensen's birthday with friends and family and he grew up into a teenager, gaining the trait Great Kisser. Ho Sung sadly got called into work just before the celebrations, so the family would celebrate his birthday later that day.

At the party, Red announced to Flynn that she was once again pregnant, and he was elated!

The family took a trip to the museum, where they waited for Ho Sung to celebrate his aging up. While there, Red told her kids about her pregnancy and Jensen even got to feel her tummy. Once Ho Sung arrived, he aged up into an adult and started a midlife crisis.

The next day, Red took Jensen out for his first driving lesson in his dad's police cruiser. During their lesson, Red went into labor, and Jensen had to stressfully drive his mother to the hospital, where his little sister Lindsey was born. She had the traits Clumsy and Good.

Right before the birth of his daughter, Ho Sung went to the salon to get a new look. Flynn happened to be there, so Ho Sung asked Flynn to do it for him, and he hated the look he was given. Ho Sung and Flynn no longer like each other.

At home, Ho Sung attended to his beautiful baby girl while Red was fast asleep.

Jensen and Skyler went outside together to make a snowman in the front yard. They made a classic snowman.

Lindsey grew up into a beautiful toddler and had the bright red hair of her grandmother, Mare.

Jensen went out to the park and met a girl by the name of Penelope Wike. He immediately fell madly in love with her, and while he was chatting her up, they ran into his uncle Flynn, who was teaching his daughter Marissa to speak.

Jensen got into inventing (which I didn't realise he could've started as a child! WHAT?) and bruised his fingers a lot at first. After a while, he finally got to inventing some little trinkets to decorate his room with.

the sims 4 LEPacy challege: 5 gens in

i wanted to write a bit about how i'm feeling about this challenge ^_^

i started this because even tho i've been playing sims 4 since it came out (now 10 years!), i eventually stopped following the new packs. i always got them but i never played through new features because there is just SO much. i found myself always going back to what is comfortable -- i only enjoyed the first worlds and only knew the townies from those early packs. i wanted to play through more of what the game has to offer and be able to get more familiar with the worlds, townies & features.

well! i'm still in early sims days (current gen is spa day) aka what is mostly comfortable to me. but still, i've been able to do some gameplay i hadn't tried before, and revisit things i hadn't played in about 10 years.

i know some people that play this challenge keep all the packs but just focus on a certain one each gen. i wanted to have a more challenging experience by actually disabling everything. i soon learned that there's no use forcing myself to only use the awful base game clothes &c when assets in this game look so much nicer now, and by gen 2 i already had all the kits back LOL. so i guess not as challenging as it could be. STILL, besides kits everything else is disabled and i soon learned which features from certain packs i miss the most -- clubs being a major one, can't wait for gen 6...!

i've been trying out some mods as well. it's been interesting learning which packs have like nothing going for them, not even in cc world, while others require mods & fixes. i'm gonna make another post with mods that have helped for each gen so far, for future reference.

overall i've been really enjoying this! it's funny seeing new announcements every few months and getting excited about them while knowing i won't be playing with those features for a long long time. i'm the type of player that needs to stay focused on one save. before this it was my super sim save, that i abandoned around the time growing together came out LOL but i shall return to it someday. and the one that made me go back to the sims 4 was my not so berry save, that i stopped at gen 6 but i also want to return to at some point.

i've been so locked in on this lepacy challenge to the point that i saved backups of my other saves and 'deleted' them all from my sims 4 folder, so i only have the lepacy one there. a reason for that is that all my packs are disabled so i didn't want the clutter of older saves. but yeah, i'm all in for now and i've been having fun -- glitches & all!

another thing is that being a legacy player you eventually have no idea who is living in your world(s). some people are better at this, keeping up with families around them. i haven't really done that. with neighborhood stories & mccc townies have married each other and had kids. some familiar names are still around, but more often than not my save is populated with huge families of random sims. sometimes i try to clean things up by separating newlyweds & couples, but other times i just let them be since i'm focusing on my own family.

it is good only having a couple of worlds available though. i was never that good with using mccc to import sims from my gallery, but i think i have finally managed to do that! my world is less full of randoms, and newly generated townies are all from my tray files. sometimes i take a look at what's going on and i end up doing a quick makeover of random townies when i get a bit bored. so far i've been managing well a save that is already on generation 5.

another thing is that i'm NOT a builder. i wish i could also use this challenge to try and become one, but i'm truly not interested at all in building lol. maybe one day i will (idk). i rely on the gallery as usual. luckily the base game is a lot nicer these days and you can easily find bg builds on the gallery, but i found myself scrolling a LOT when looking for different community lots.

another issue is that, well, the gallery is shit so it's basically impossible to look for builds with the only packs you have. no matter which tags you uncheck, it's either base game or ALL packs, no in-between. incredibly annoying </3 so even tho i know have an expansion, a game pack and a few stuff packs installed i still mostly look up base game builds to save myself the headache. not only that but i always like playing with builds that only have one level bc i like being able to see my entire house at once and where my sims are. and i guess a lot of sims players are american/europeans and bigger houses are more common? idk, but they sure love two or more levels. so that makes me stay even longer on the gallery, looking for the one level house that fits my style. i'm aware things would be so much easier if i would just build, but i really don't want to x_x

one thing i've been liking so far is actually relearning all the bg worlds. i've lived in all of them before, but with less distractions (and some rules) i usually go on walks & runs in neighborhoods with my sims and i've been becoming more familiar with areas of the worlds i never paid attention to before. i could never be a sims 4 geoguesser player lol but it's still cool to check out the enviroments and how nice the worlds are -- even if a lot of it is set dressing. this IS a pretty game, especially when you have lighting mods installed.

so yeah. i do appreciate how much nicer the base game is now -- especially since it is now free to play. you can have a lot of fun with the bg + mods (and cc of course). i've been enjoying this challenge and becoming obsessed with ts4 again :-)

Short Lepacy - Week 2

Violeta infiltrated the military base to find out some answers. Marisol works for the military though, so she's being very hush-hush about her snooping around.

She did great, but this is when I realized that there's a bug that makes her slim down sometimes when wearing certain outfits. Trust me, she's still decidedly plus-sized. Comes with being a Foodie who hates Fitness. Damn you game, let her be the Queen she is!

She managed to open the door leading further down, which, well... Let's say she soon realizes why that door was locked in the first place.

Right now, I’m kind of feeling uninspired to write up Ryan’s Legacy posts right now, which in turn made me uninspired to play so I spent a few days downloading and fixing up the Sims 3 and started the All in One LEpacy challenge by Dollybats! This is my founder, Nathan Locke. He is Ambitious, Family-Oriented, Friendly, Handy and a Workaholic and wants to become an Astronaut! I’m playing in the Sunset Valley 2020 save!

Rules for this Generation are:

Have your sim get a career of their choice (must be from the base game)

Have your sim meet the love of their life either from work, or even a pedestrian

You CANNOT get married until you reach level four of your career

You CANNOT have kids until you reach level four of your career

Pick up a hobby and reach at least between level three to five (Gardening, Logic, etc.)

Have a boy and a girl (or as many as you want)

Complete aspiration and/or reach the top of your career

I hope you don’t mind the change and don’t worry, Ryan’s Legacy is definitely not over (I am too attached to that family and have too many screenshots to let them go!)
