watching Vanessa Hudgen's double platinum hit holiday movie "The Knight Before Christmas" is really fun as a bbc merlin fan. it's *just* like all those fics where Arthur is brought back into the modern world and has to figure everything out, but as a mid-budget hallmarky christmas movie. It's wonderful.

The knight is an adorable dumbass with a heart of gold, just like Arthur, and I suppose Vanessa Hudgen's status as a brunette trying to mitigate chaos lends something Merlin-esque to her. In other words, y'all need to watch this and super impose your faves onto the main characters asap.

Give me a real 14th century Prince Henry being time-traveled to modern day and stumbling into an adorable Alex who has his hands full planning and running Christmas events for his family and community. Give me an emotionally repressed Henry who is unfamiliar with being allowed to express his sensitive self and discovers what is is like to be truly alive. Give me a skeptical Alex who has never experienced a relationship past casual dating and gradually melts in face of genuine chivalry.

It would be ridiculous, and stupid, and domestic, and cheesy as fuck, and I want it.
