I'm catching up on the various videos posted online about Space Cases: opinion pieces, interviews, etc., and here is one I watched today from August 2021. In it, Alex Nantz from the Splat Attack Podcast leads a discussion with Walter Jones (Harlan), Paul Boretski (Goddard), and Anik Matern (Thelma).
I made a list of the questions asked in the video and include the time stamps where you can find them. :) The parenthesis are notes of the answers that I wanted to remember.
2:24 - What do you remember from auditioning for the show?
7:09 - What are some current projects you’re doing now?
14:19 – Do you still keep in contact with any of your castmates?
16:13 – What was it like working on set?
19:45 – What was it like being able to break your set character? I.E. Paul getting to play a Spung in one episode. And did you keep anything from the show?
23:41 – Would you say that Space Cases was like Star Trek for kids?
25:41 – What was it like working with George Takei?
27:05 – Do you have fans who ask you about Space Cases?
28:11 – What was one of your character’s secret motivations that was never revealed on the show?
(Harlan – didn’t want to fail, didn’t want to disappoint anybody).
28:58 – Why was the show cancelled?
(SC was the #2 show on Nick behind Kenan and Kel, but the budget was 3 times Kenan and Kel due to the special effects. Jewel Staite having left. Walter Jones being offered apart in a new show.)
30:31 – If the show had continued, do you think they would have brought Catalina back in Season 3?
30: 57 – Why do you think there was never an merchandise for the show with it being so successful at the time?
32:32 – Had the show continued, where would have liked to see your character go?
(Harlan – wanted to resolve his issues with Radu. To be a successful journeyman in space, a captain. Have a crew and solve problems around the galaxy).
34:31 – If you were asked to be in a reboot of the show and you were able, would you do it and what kind of role would you like to play?
35:31 – What was it like filming the scene where it was thought that Catalina had been killed?
37:22 – Do you know of any props that were used on Space Cases that were probably used on other shows?
38:32 – Discussion of other Nickelodeon shows that Anik had been on.
39:32 – Continuation - How different was it filming those three shows?
40:48 – Paul – What was one of the most challenging of acting and what’s been one of the most rewarding?
44:28 – Walter – What was more challenging for you? Zack (Power Rangers) or Harlan?
46:03 – Continuation - Were there any similarities between the two?
46:48 – Walter – what was it like filming Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
47:35 – What was your favorite episode of Space Cases to watch and what was your favorite one to film?
52:16 – Wrap up.

The Baker hate has to stop
I just finished watching a youtube video, the title was something along the lines of "draft picks teams wish they had back. So I watched it and for the most part I agreed until he got to Baker Mayfield. I was so confused because he was literally one of if not the best browns QB to play for them in the last 2 or 3 decades. The man led them to the playoffs for the first time in 2 decades and because they only got there once with him in 4 years you think they would go back in time and pick someone else?
The QB that is often pointed to when creators do this ( because this is far from the first time someone has said this ) is Josh Allen was in the same draft. They could have had Josh Allen!! Sure they could have had Josh Allen, but lets not forget Josh Allen was a project coming out college. Do we really think that Browns organization could have developed him into the QB he is right now? I seriously doubt it.
Lets be clear about something, before Baker Mayfield was drafted the Browns were 0-16. His rookie season they were still a losing team but they had actually won games. They were 7-8-1 with him on the field in 2018. Going from 0 wins in the previous year to 7 with a rookie QB at the helm is a huge difference. An awful team and a completely disfunctional organization drafted a heisman trophy winning QB and he took them to the playoffs in 3 years time while also winning the first playoff game for this franchise in 2 decades. This is no small thing, he accomplished more than any other QB had for that team in the previous years.
I know many people would love to throw around the fact that he had Nick Chubb and when he wasn't injured OBJ on his team , and that he maybe didn't accomplish as much as he should have with guys like that on his roster. Maybe these people are right... about Nick Chubb, not OBJ. He was there with Baker for 3 years and his only 1k yard season was his first season there. He then spent most of his time on IR because he's so injury prone, but when he was available Baker knew how to get him the ball.
Lastly I want to talk about the elephant in the room, his last year there wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, however he also played threw 2 injuries that year ( not saying that was a good idea, it was bad, he should taken time off to heal ). The man was playing with an injured shoulder and hip, and sure if wanna say it was his non throwing shoulder I'll concede that. His injured hip is a different story though. The hips are a big part of generating power for your throws, turning those hips into a pass to really get it down field is essential and he just couldn't do that like he had in his previous years.
In conclusion, we can not talk about his career ( or anyone else for that matter ) in a vacuum. Where these players end up matters, injuries matter, coaching and interpersonal relationships matter when it comes to this game. Looking at the numbers alone instead of seeing the greater impact a player has on a franchise really dilutes who they were as a player. Baker Mayfield deserved so much better from that rinky dink ass poverty franchise they call the browns. They traded him away and over paid an alleged sex offender to knock the rust in the last six games of the 2022 season in hopes he'll look like he did in 2020 for 2023, when they could allowed Baker to heal and picked up his 5th year option to keep what could have been their franchise QB for a lot cheaper. Instead they went 7-10 with a journeyman QB ( no offense, I love Jacoby Brisett and he played a lot better than 4-7 as a starter for them last year ) and an under performing defense that had a tendency to fail late in games. In short, they got exactly what they deserved.

Whitechapel series 3 press pack
Whitechapel – Real life cases highlighted by Buchan in the series
Story 1
Ratcliffe Highway Murders The Ratcliffe Highway murders were two vicious attacks that resulted in multiple fatalities, and occurred over twelve days in the year 1811, in homes half a mile apart near Wapping in London.
The first attack took place on 7th December 1811 at a home behind a linen draper’s shop on Ratcliffe Highway (now called The Highway). The victims were Timothy Marr (a 24 year old linen draper and hosier), his wife Celia, their 3-month-old son Timothy and James Gowen, their shop boy. Margaret Jewell, a servant of the Marrs, had been sent to purchase oysters, and subsequently escaped. The murder caused the government to offer a reward of 500 guineas for the apprehension of the perpetrator.
Twelve days later on the 19th December, the second attack happened at The Kings Arms in New Gravel Lane (now Garnet street). The victims were John Williamson, 56 year old publican who had been at the Kings Arms for 15 years, his 60 year old wife Elizabeth and Bridget Anna Harrington in her late 50's, a servant. Williamson's 14-year-old granddaughter, Catherine (Kitty) Stillwell, slept through the incident and was thus not discovered. John Turner, a lodger and journeyman, discovered the murders and escaped out of an upper window, using a knotted sheet to climb down to the street below.
A principal suspect in the murders, John Williams (also known as Murphy), was a lodger at the nearby Pear Tree public house in Old Wapping. He was a 27-year-old Scottish or Irish seaman. He had nursed a grievance against Marr from when they were shipmates, but the subsequent murders at the Kings Arms remain unexplained. Williams was arrested, but committed suicide by hanging himself in prison; he was buried with a stake through his heart at the junction of Commercial Road and Cannon Street Road.
Charles Manson, 1969, Sharon Tate On the night of August 8, Manson directed Charles Watson to take Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, and Patricia Krenwinkel to "that house where Melcher used to live" and "totally destroy everyone in [it], as gruesome as you can." He told the women to do as Watson would instruct them. The current occupants of the house, all of whom were strangers to the Manson followers, were movie actress Sharon Tate, wife of famed director Roman Polanski and eight and a half months pregnant; her friend and former lover, hairstylist Jay Sebring; Polanski's friend and aspiring screenwriter Wojciech Frykowski, and Frykowski’s lover Abigail Folger, heiress to the Folger coffee fortune. Tate's husband, Polanski, was in London working on a film project; Tate had been visiting with him and had returned to the United States only three weeks earlier.
Richard Farley Richard Farley is an American convicted mass murderer. A former employee of Electromagnetic Systems Labs (ESL) in Sunnyvale, California, he stalked co-worker Laura Black for four years beginning in 1984. Black obtained a temporary restraining order against him on February 2, 1988, with a court date set for February 17, 1988 to make the order permanent. On February 16, 1988, Farley shot and killed seven people at ESL and wounded four others, including Black. He was convicted of seven counts of first degree murder, and is currently sitting on death row at San Quentin.
Story 2
The Thames Torso mystersties of 1887-1889 The Whitehall Mystery is an unsolved murder from London in 1888. The dismembered remains of a woman were found at three different sites in central London, including the future site of Scotland Yard. Newspapers suggested a tie to Jack the Ripper's killings of prostitutes that were occurring simultaneously, but the Metropolitan Police said there was no connection.
Mary Ann Cotton Born Mary Ann Robson in October 1832 in Low Moorsley, County Durham, she died 24 March 1873. She was an English woman convicted of murdering her husband and children and is believed to have murdered up to 21 people, mainly by arsenic poisoning.
Mary Wilson Killed four lovers with phosphorus and claimed they took it in‘sexual stimulation pills’s
Mary Wilson (c. 1893 - 1963) also known as the Merry widow of Windy Nook, was a serial killer and the last woman to be sentenced to death in Durham, in 1958. However the sentence was not carried out as it was commuted to a prison sentence.
An exhumation of the bodies of her last two husbands revealed high levels of phosphorus. Her defense claimed the substance was contained in their medication. Wilson was convicted of murdering two of her four husbands with beetle poison in 1956 and 1957. The remains of her earlier two husbands were exhumed at a later date and pointed to the same cause of death.
Dr Crippen Dr. Crippen, was an American homeopathic physician hanged in Pentonville Prison, London, on 23 November 1910, for the murder of his wife, Cora Henrietta Crippen. A theory, which was first propounded by Edward Marshall Hall, was that Crippen was using hyoscine on his wife as a depressant or an aphrodisiac but accidentally gave her an overdose and then panicked when she died.
The Lonely heart Killers Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck, who met after Beck placed a lonely-hearts ad, became known as "The Lonely Hearts Killers" after their arrest and trial for serial murder in 1949. Between 1947 and 1949 they are believed to have killed as many as twenty women.
The Black Eyed Borgia and her Playboy lover Mary Frances Creighton and Everett Appelgate, both convicted and executed for the murder of Ada Creighton (Appelgate’s wife) from arsenic poisoning.
H.H.Holmes (May 16, 1861[1] – May 7, 1896), better known under the alias of Dr. Henry Howard Holmes, was one of the first documented American serial killers in the modern sense of the term. In Chicago at the time of the 1893 World's Fair, Holmes opened a hotel which he had designed and built for himself specifically with murder in mind, and which was the location of many of his murders. While he confessed to 27 murders, of which nine were confirmed, his actual body count could be as high as 250. He took an unknown number of his victims from the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, which was less than 2 miles away from his "World's Fair" hotel.
Marquis de Sade An episode in Marseille, in 1772, involved the non-lethal poisoning of prostitutes with the supposed aphrodisiac Spanish fly and sodomy with his manservant Latour. That year the two men were sentenced to death in absentia for sodomy and said poisoning.
Thomas Huskey, 1999 Knoxville, Tennessee Accused killer of 4 women in Tennessee. Nicknamed the "Zoo Man", Huskey worked at the Knoxville Zoo and allegedly took his victims here. He talked of ‘Kyle’, a separate, darker personality that was responsible for a series of murders.
Arthur Ford, 1954 Arthur Ford became infatuated with a woman called Betty Grant who worked in his office on Euston Road. He bought a coconut nice for both Betty and a friend that he had laced with cantharidin; both died after eating it.
Story 3
Bogeyman A bogeyman is an amorphous imaginary being used by adults to frighten children into compliant behaviour. The monster has no specific appearance, and conceptions about it can vary drastically from household to household within the same community; in many cases, he has no set appearance in the mind of an adult or child, but is simply a non-specific embodiment of terror. Parents may tell their children that if they misbehave, the bogeyman will get them. Bogeymen may target a specific mischief — for instance, a bogeyman that punishes children who suck their thumbs — or general misbehavior, depending on what purpose needs serving. In some cases, the bogeyman is a nickname for the devil.
Zodiac Killer Masked serial killer in California in 1960s/1970s who said that ‘hunting humans was the most exciting of all sports’
The Phantom US, 1940s. Killed on full moons, wore a white mask and attacked eight by the light of the moon. Of whom the sheriff said “no one sees him, no one hears him in time.”
Robert Williams The case of the man who killed a girl in Hyde Park in 1928. The man claimed that the film ‘London After Midnight’ sent him insane, and that he saw Lon Chaney in the park, forcing him to murder the girl with a razor.
Scared to death In 1840, Sir Robert Warboys had heard of a tale of a parlour maid who had seen the spectral presence and had been driven insane. He wanted to disprove the haunting, and armed with a shotgun, went to spend the night in the attic room. The house was woken at midnight when a shot rang out. They found Warboys dead from fright.
Then in 1878, Lord Lyttleton stayed the night. He loaded his gun with silver sixpennies said to ward off evil. For him it worked and he survived to tell the tale.
Couple on a spree together – Caril Ann Fugate and Charles Starkweather. Nebraska, 1957. Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate. They killed 11 in all. Including her parents and two year old sister. She was only 14 at the time. Nobody knows how many she killed. She said she was held hostage by Starkweather. He said she was a willing participant. He was executed in 1959. She was paroled in 1976. And to this day she has never spoken of the murders, so no one knows how involved she really was.
Tsuyama Massacre The Tsuyama massacre was a spree killing that occurred on 21 May 1938 in the rural village of Kaio close to Tsuyama city in Okayama, Japan. Mutsuo Toi, a 21-year-old man, killed 30 people, including his grandmother, with a shotgun, Japanese sword, and axe, and seriously injured three others before killing himself with the shotgun.

Writer's Commentary: Bargain with the Leshy
Hi! So the Writer’s Commentary series is something I want to create for all of my fics going forward, a sort of peek behind the scenes at what happens during the writing process. Ideas change a lot, and I like documenting this stuff as it happens, so I hope you enjoy reading it.
For this collection of ramblings, you'll need to have read my monster erotica piece, Bargain with the Leshy.
First of all, Bargain with the Leshy was written as a response to my frustration with myself. I said in this post that I really struggle to write short things - a lot of the time, my ideas spiral out of control into novella-sized (or larger!) projects, which then makes my perfectionism and anxiety go into overdrive as I work to make every little detail impervious to the angry critics who have taken up residence in my imagination and ruthlessly heckle me.
To be clear, this isn't a good attitude to have. Always writing in fear of potential criticism means that I don't get much writing done unless I feel more confident than usual -- overall I would rate my anxiety as a -2 out of 10, would not recommend.
Anyway...
I wrote that post, then got mad at myself and brainstormed a list of monster romance erotica ideas. Bargain with the Leshy was #3 on that list, and in that brain-vomit of ideas around a leshy-focused erotica piece I wrote Aiden as a witch's apprentice. I changed that very early on because I wanted Aiden to be a little bit older and more worldly.
Background World-Building & Characterization
Some world-building that I didn't get to include in the text itself was that witches in this world operate in a guild-like system. There are apprentices who live with their mentors from ages 14-19, and then journeymen witches who travel as they need to while working on their "masterpiece" -- and I mean "masterpiece" in the most traditional sense of the word; it's a piece of work (in Aiden's case, an herbal of magical plants and their uses) that, upon completion, will be judged by a council of master-level witches to determine whether the journeyman witch is ready to enter the guild as a fully-fledged adult member.
Rowenna is already a master-level witch since she has her own cottage. I initially wrote her as a "veterinarian-witch", but that sounded too modern (on completely illogical grounds) so I changed her descriptor to "farm-witch." She is very Pratchett-esque; I was really drawing from the Tiffany Aching series when I wrote her.
The world of Bargain with the Leshy was designed to be reminiscent of the 1940s. There's modern technology to some degree, and use of electricity is widespread, but there's no Internet or handheld phones. However, it IS a fantasy world, so I felt justified in allowing women to have societal acceptance if they choose to live a life independent of a male relative or partner - likewise, it's a queer-normative world. Although the Gregorian calendar is used, this world isn't Earth and WWII didn't happen.
Also, Aiden is very much autistic; botany is a special interest of his!
Technical Stuff
My boyfriend @mikk1n helped me edit the sex scene between Marek and Aiden. That took several days, since we have very different sleep schedules (we live in the same time zone, but are long-distance) and did most of the work between 11pm and 2:30am over Discord.
I don't really have writing playlists, and am VERY particular about music that I listen to while writing - if a song has lyrics, they can't be in English or French because if I understand even fragments then I won't be able to concentrate. I ended up listening to "Hörst du die Trommein" by Faun on repeat while writing the sex scene; it sounds vaguely Celtic, has a male singer with a nice voice, and the drumming was good. I have zero clue what the lyrics mean.
A Potential Sequel?
I'm on the fence about whether or not I'll write a sequel to Bargain with the Leshy; Marek and Aiden are not in love and neither of them are the type to get their heart mixed up after a one-night-stand, so it's unlikely that they would be emotionally drawn back to each other. I do have some ideas, but as it stands those ideas don't make for a particularly happy story and I am definitely the type of writer who enjoys their HEAs. If a sequel does enter the works, then it will be a long time off - don't hold your breath, in other words.

The Baseball Project- Grand Salami Time! (Omnivore)
I really enjoyed this supergroups first two LP’s, but missed their third one that came out nearly a decade ago. Having said that, on LP #4 they really knock it out of the park (think of Reggie’s towering shot in the ‘71 All-star game in Detroit). If you don’t know the band is led by vocalist/guitarist Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate) and his wife Linda Pitmon on drums. Along with 2/5ths of REM in Peter Buck on guitar and Mike Mills on bass and you’ve got another guitarist in Young Fresh Fellows/Minus 5’s Scott McCaughey on another guitar.
The songs are all all baseball themed and this is just a straight up fun, catchy rock and roll record that hard to not enjoy (unless you’re the scroogiest of Scrooges). No surprise that the songwriting is marvelous and there’s hooks galore.
The opening title track is rousing round tripper while “The Yips” has a bit more bite and “Screwball” (Charlie Hough?! ok it’s not about him but you do remember his screwball, right??) tells a story as only Uncle Steve can. “64 and 64” is a nice tribute to Jim Bouton while “The Voice of Baseball” is about the golden voice himself, Vin Scully. Also, don’t miss the slightly somber but terrific “Journeyman” or the noisier “Disco Demolition” (about that fateful night at Comiskey Park when disco records were destroyed).
You can easily tell that these folks truly enjoy writing songs and playing together and well, that they happen to be very good songs is icing on the cake for any music/baseball fan and let’s give credit to Mitch Easter who did a fantastic job at his Fidelitorium Studio!
Ok, it’s time to say it......play ball!

Perth's Plumbing Standards: Understanding Local Codes and Australian Regulations
In Perth, plumbers must navigate a detailed set of regulations to ensure that water and wastewater systems are safe and effective. This guide offers a thorough overview of the local codes, Australian standards, permits, and inspection processes every Plumber in Perth should be aware of to meet compliance requirements.
1. Plumbing Regulations in Perth: A Comprehensive Overview
Local Regulatory Framework
Plumbing activities in Western Australia are primarily governed by the Plumbing Regulations 2019 (WA) and the Water Services Act 2012. These regulations establish clear guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of plumbing installations while promoting environmental protection.
National Standards Compliance
In addition to local requirements, Perth plumbers must adhere to the Australian Plumbing Code (AS/NZS 3500). This national standard includes guidelines for water services, sanitary systems, and drainage, ensuring consistent quality across the industry.
2. Licensing and Permit Requirements for Plumbers
Types of Plumbing Licences
Every plumber in Perth must hold an appropriate licence from the Plumbing Licensing Board (PLB) under the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation, and Safety. The main types of licences are:
Tradesperson Licence – For those performing plumbing tasks under supervision.
Journeyman Licence – Permits unsupervised work but does not allow the plumber to certify compliance.
Contractor Licence – Required for business operators who need to certify plumbing work with compliance certificates.
Necessary Permits for Plumbing Work
Large-scale projects, such as new plumbing installations or changes to existing sewer systems, often require special permits from the Water Corporation or the local council. It’s crucial to confirm whether specific permissions are needed before starting work.
3. Essential Compliance Areas for Plumbing Work
Meeting Water Efficiency Standards
Due to Perth's climate and the need for water conservation, plumbers must ensure that installations comply with the Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) scheme. This helps to optimise water use across various fixtures like taps and showers.
Protecting Water Quality with Backflow Prevention
To prevent contamination of the water supply, Perth plumbers must install backflow prevention devices, adhering to the standards outlined in AS/NZS 2845, particularly in high-risk environments.
Hot Water System Safety Guidelines
Compliance with AS/NZS 3500.4 is crucial when installing hot water systems. These regulations cover temperature settings and safety measures to reduce scalding risks.
Sanitary and Drainage Compliance
Strict guidelines for sanitary plumbing and drainage ensure the proper removal of wastewater. These standards include specifications for pipe gradients, ventilation, and material selection to prevent common issues like blockages and foul odours.
4. Inspection and Compliance Certification
Issuing Compliance Certificates
For significant plumbing work, a Compliance Certificate must be lodged upon completion. This certificate confirms that the work adheres to all relevant codes and standards. Only licensed contractors are authorised to issue these certificates.
Inspection Procedures
The Plumbing Inspectorate may perform inspections to ensure compliance. These inspections are often random but can also be requested by clients or triggered by specific concerns, particularly in high-risk projects involving gas or complex systems.
5. Staying Current with Regulatory Updates
Ongoing Industry Changes
Regulations are frequently updated in response to technological advancements, environmental needs, and safety improvements. It’s essential for Perth plumbers to stay informed of any changes. Regular professional training and engagement with organisations such as the Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of WA can help maintain compliance and industry expertise.
Conclusion
Navigating Perth’s plumbing codes and standards is a critical part of providing reliable and compliant services. For any Plumber in Perth, understanding the requirements around permits, licensing, and inspections is essential to performing work safely and legally. Staying current with these regulations not only ensures high-quality installations but also protects the plumber’s reputation and business from potential legal issues.

Run Masters:
Rust to Rushing Champions
Reports of the running back position’s demise may have been premature as the market for the league’s under appreciated stars came roaring back this offseason. Several household names got the big pay days and realistic hope of competing for a championship that eluded them in 2023.
Fanbases of the teams’ who gave their backfield a nitrous boost can only dream that the talent their team already has can elevate said workhorse to CMC-level production for their team. While hoping for a legitimate MVP caliber season from a Running Back may seem idealistic, there’s no question that fantasy value is up on several of the best backs in the game. But the real question is, which renovated backfield will be the most dangerous this season?
Today we’ll look at how each player fits with their new team and throw in our two cents on who has the best chance of usurping the current rushing champion in Christian McCaffrey. With that said let’s rush right into it!
Joe Mixon to the Texans
A year ago projecting the Texans as a playoff team, let alone a Super Bowl contender, seemed a laughable notion. Then the revelation known as CJ Stroud took the field and set the league on fire en route to winning Offensive Rookie of the year. Nobody outside of Leonardo DiCaprio could possibly have as big a hard on for a 22 year old as the Texans must have for their young Quarterback that led them to the divisional round the same year he was selected 2nd overall in the draft.
Needless to say, an outstanding first year campaign from Stroud and new Head Coach Demeco Ryans has accelerated the Texans window dramatically into ‘win now!’ mode. With little growing pains to show and 3 more years of Stroud playing for peanuts (relatively speaking), the Texans have basically discovered plutonium and need to capitalize as much as possible if they’re going to try and compete with the Chiefs and the Ravens this year.
Enter Joe Mixon coming off his fourth 1,000 yard rushing campaign. If nothing else, Mixon has been the pinnacle of consistency, averaging right around four yards per carry with one fumble in three years and playing in 47 of a possible 51 games. Coming in at 220 lbs, with excellent hands (52 receptions on 64 targets for 376 receiving yards in 2023), and the ability to take on huge workloads (his 257 carries last year ranked 5th in the NFL), Mixon should be a significant upgrade over the incumbent Dameon Pierce who lost his starting job to journeyman Devin Singletary last year.
Saquon Barkley to the Eagles
For Giants’ fans, seeing their best player sign with their hated arch rival in the Philadelphia Eagles had to be like catching your wife in bed with your Boss. It’s not bad enough that they regularly ruin your life, but they also have to take away your only reason to live. For Barkley on the other hand, this could not have worked out much better. In addition to getting a lucrative extension ($37 million over 3 years) and getting to regularly face the team that dicked him around when the bill came due, Barkley can finally play behind a top tier Offensive Line (albeit sans Jason Kelce) that can help him truly maximize his skillset and his quads. It also helps that his new Quarterback is a legitimate rushing threat without the tripping hazard. Though Fantasy Managers should temper mentally prepare for goal line siphoning whether you draft Hurts or Barkley.
While the Eagles followed up their 2022 NFC Championship with the worst sequel since the Hangover 2, it’s hard not to look at an Offense that features AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Hurts, and Barkley and not have high hopes. Even Kellen Moore can’t fuck that up…..right?
Derrick Henry to the Ravens
Picture you’re the green dot linebacker. You look in the opposing backfield and see a two-time MVP/perennial rushing threat under center. To his left is King Henry. That’s the moment you realize, this rushing attack is even more likely to impose its will on you than P. Diddy. Even a slight misstep can result in your defense getting bulldozed by Henry at the second level or Lamar taking one to the house. This ground game is the ultimate realization of thunder and lightning and may very well be the biggest rushing threat in the league.
Teams won’t be able to simply stack the box either, now that Lamar has legitimate vertical threats in Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and Zay Flowers who put up 858 yards and five touchdowns as a Rookie last year (though hopefully he can avoid some of those costly postseason mistakes in his sophomore campaign). The Ravens would also certainly benefit from quality snaps from another one of their receivers such as Rashod Bateman or promising rookie Devontez Walker, but the biggest question for them is if Henry’s royal reign will continue?
Henry made the Pro Bowl once again last season and still rushed for over 1,000 yards and double digit touchdowns last year with yards per carry consistent with the previous two seasons. But he also celebrated his dirty thirty earlier this year. If any Running Back can give Father Time hell, it’s Derrick Henry, but with a lot of tread on the tire at this point in his career, it’s fair to ask how long he will be able to take over games and put teams on his back. Luckily, for the first time in his career, it’s not all on him.
Enough Pussyfooting, Who Can Dethrone CMC?
There’s so much to like about all of these moves and fantasy leagues will be abound with debates over this exact topic. The steady presence of Joe Mixon should give CJ Stroud the extra half second to feed the ball to his armory of weapons (more on that in a future article), while his prodigious skills as a Quarterback and a laundry list of playmakers will force defenses to give up space underneath. But we’ve seen this movie before with Cincinatti’s army of talent, Mixon is a great player, but he isn’t making an MVP run in this lifetime.
Saquon could be transformational for the Eagles’ Offense. Or he could be a slight upgrade over what they had last year when they got eliminated in the Wild Card Round. Or he could deal with another injury prone season. Hey we’re not rooting for it, but he was available in free agency for a reason. If it works, this offense will be absolutely unstoppable on short yardage situations. If Barkley misses a lot of time, the Eagles are going to feel it, while Giants’ fans will owe Joe Schoen an apology.
Derrick Henry to the Ravens makes all the sense in the world. It’s exactly what both sides need. The Ravens need a consistent rushing threat that isn’t their signal caller so the attention is not always entirely on him. Derrick Henry needs an offense with names teams know other than him! It’s like Silk Sonic or the iPhone, you never realized how much you needed it until it fell in your lap.
If any ground game can rival Christian McCaffrey in a Kyle Shanahan Offense, its Derrick Henry lined up next to Lamar Jackson. This offense is going to make every Defensive Coordinator it runs into throw their headset on the ground and rage quit if Derrick Henry is even 70% of himself. Henry is more durable than Saquon and more dominant than Joe Mixon and the Ravens have an unabashed love for pounding the rock. If this move doesn’t propel them past Kansas City nothing will. All hail the king.

7 Signs You Need Professional Electrical Repairs
Many homeowners often wonder whether they should do DIY to fix their electrical issues themselves or hire professional electrical repair experts. There are a number of reasons why DIY is a great choice, allowing you to save money and resources more efficiently. However, it is best to hire a professional electrical repair technician when you are dealing with electrical issues in your home.
Hiring a professional electrician can help ensure the safety of your family & home while ensuring the job is done right the first time. The proper and safe performance of electrical tasks around the home can be challenging without a technician with an electrical background. Choosing a professional electrician to handle your electrical repairs and maintenance is a great decision for a few reasons.
If you are a homeowner wondering whether you should do DIY to resolve electrical issues or hire professional electrical repair, you have come to the right place. In this blog post, we will walk you through the top 7 signs you need professional electrical repairs for your home or business needs.
So, let’s get into it!
1. Safety
It is extremely important to handle electrical repairs with extreme caution. Furthermore, it’s important to keep in mind that 200 amps are enough to kill you, and that’s what most homes have. According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control, electrocution is the sixth leading cause of injury and/or death nationwide. There is still a large problem throughout the country of falls resulting in injuries and/or deaths.
If you find yourself uncertain about handling electrical repairs, don’t hesitate to hire a licensed electrician, whether it is for a residential or commercial project. Faulty wiring can lead to fires and put you and your property at risk. That’s why it’s crucial to hire a professional electrician who can ensure that all repairs are completed safely and to code.
2. Education and Certification
Hiring a professional electrician is crucial as they go through rigorous training, certification, and on-site training before earning their license. This guarantees a certain level of quality & expertise that is hard to handle or manage with untrained or inexperienced individuals. Therefore, it is important to check the electrician’s certification level and educational background- whether they are an apprentice, journeyman, or master electrician, and also verify that they work for a bonded, licensed, and insured company.
Depending on the city, they also need to be aware of the local laws and building codes. There is a long apprenticeship program for electricians. Ensure that the technicians you hire are skilled and experienced in handling complex electrical repair and maintenance for both commercial and residential electrical needs.
3. It’s Worth Money
When you decide to take on a task yourself, it is often intended to save money. However, if the task involves solving a problem that you are not familiar with, you may end up troubleshooting the issue multiple times.
This can result in redoing work that has already been done or buying materials that you don’t have, which can be costly in the long run.
To avoid these expenses, it is better to hire a professional technician who comes prepared with all the necessary supplies and expertise to get the job done right the first time.
4. Outdated or Aluminum Wiring
Commercial buildings with outdated or aluminum wiring are at an increased risk of electrical failures. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has highlighted that properties with aluminum wiring, especially those built before 1972, are much more susceptible to fire hazards.
For businesses located in such buildings, it is crucial to engage a Seattle-based electrical repair and maintenance service for a thorough inspection. If necessary, a wiring upgrade can be performed to ensure compliance and safety standards are met. This proactive approach can help prevent potential electrical issues that could pose a risk to the safety of the building and its occupants.
5. Burning Smells or Sparks
The detection of burning smells or sparks coming from outlets or switches in a commercial setting is a clear indication of potentially dangerous electrical issues. Overheating, short circuits, or wire damage could cause these symptoms.
Immediate action from a team of professional electricians is necessary to prevent devastating electrical fires. If you notice burning smells or sparks in your electrical system, you must consult with a qualified electrician near me.
6. Peace of Mind
Hiring a professional electrician is the best way to ensure that your electrical project is completed safely and effectively. Not only can it bring peace of mind, but it can also extend the lifetime of your electrical system, and prevent future issues from arising.
Additionally, professional electricians offer guarantees on their work, so if any issues persist, they will come back and ensure everything is fixed and running smoothly. Thus, hiring professional electrical repair and maintenance experts can give you peace of mind while ensuring the job is done right the first time and on time.
7. Troubleshooting
It’s true that sometimes what appears to be a small issue with your home’s electrical system can actually be a symptom of a larger problem. That’s why it’s important to have a professional electrician perform the necessary troubleshooting and problem-solving to diagnose the root cause of the issue and identify the appropriate solution.
