The four volumes of Superman from the World Adventure Library, a British publisher. These were published and distributed in Great Britain between 1966 and 1967, along with other volumes featuring Batman, The Phantom, Bonanza and many other comic/television features.
I have not seen the interior of these books, but they have been described as graphic novels. I therefore infer that they are probably black-and-white reprints of Superman stories from the American comics.

Daily Dragon #126 - Hothead
Happy 40th anniversary TMNT!! I've been wanting do draw Hothead, or just some TMNT dragon, for a bit now. Soooo, why not take advantage of the anniversary, right?
This is my own design inspired by a few different sources, mainly the action figure and tournament fighters' boxart and his in game sprite. There's a LOT more TMNT dragons than I think you realize, so dont be surprised if I do another one later
Daily Dragon #127 - Marci Midas
This dragon's main interests are: Gold, Golden things, looking richer than everyone else, and ignoring you. Maybe if you ask reeeeaaally nicely and give her presents she'll look in your general direction,
Saw all the really good gold week posts and the idea of like, a dragon that hordes gold wearing a golden bikini came to my mind so I thought I'd try making her. I'm not 100% satisfied with how it came out but I think the concept is hot enough, and she's already finish so- yeah
Anyway happy (late) gold week I suppose, I may try to do other clothing challenge dragons in the future but we'll see how I feel cause I have a hard time keeping up with all of them and I keep wanting to draw the Axel girls in them instead
Daily Dragon #128 - Mirage Wyrm
Those who are lost in large deserts and tundras, when stricken with exhaustion and dehydration, often see Mirage Wyrms approach them. Although they are strange 2D specters, they are physical manifestations and WILL consume you if you're weak

Daily Dragon #131 - Raptor Wyvern
These predators can tear through the air at incredibly high speeds, using their massive claws, they can strike at prey quick and swoops them up before the poor animal even realized what happened
Daily Dragon #132 - Huggogon
Large, kind, and fluffy dragons who just love love! They're very affectionate, love hugging, and are kind to everyone they encounter. Similar to Capybaras, they seemingly have no natural enemies
Quick redraw of a dragon I did at FWA LAST year. Figured it was the perfect chance to reboot them for this challenge! I also love the other two so dont be surprised if they get a redo eventually too

Adora - Long Lost Princess of Eternia, Force Captain ( former ), Daughter of Hordak and Shadow Weaver, and She-Ra. 20 yrs old, 5'0, was abducted as an infant, from her home planet, and taught to be a solider for the Horde. raised by Shadow Weaver and Hordak ( it's separate care, not romantically coded ). unofficial caretaker of Catra.
she was raised to be very serious and no-nonsense like, always remaining calm and strategic in drastic situations to prevent the worst case scenario. due to this built-in stoicism, along with other factors, Adora struggles with interpersonal relationships and knowing her own sense of self, including what she is or isn't comfortable with ( such as unnecessary conflict ).
before She-Ra is even a possibility, the weight of the world was already bestowed upon her shoulders, and she sets on carrying out her duty to protect the world from those who wish to harm it.
beneath it all, however, Adora is a young woman who desires connection and peace. she secretly hopes for that to be her reward.
design would be inspired by Cal, Zav 1, Zav 2, Zav 3, and Fern ( blue guy ) by animatorroseoak, Midas by sleeepybacon, and with these details by me! outfit color palette would go from black and red to white, gold, and blue. just to clarify, though she is mythical, she'd still be afro-latino coded.

Glimmer - Princess of Brightmoon, Daughter of Queen Angella and King Micah, and Leader of the Rebellion. 19 yrs old, 5'6, was raised by her widowed mother ever since she was an infant. due to her lineage, she is a demigod and will likely live longer than the average Etherian.
ever since she was born, Glimmer's powers were too great for her body to handle, causing her to lose control very quickly, especially when her emotions were heightened. Angella brought her to Castaspella, her aunt and the greatest sorceress on Etheria, to teach her control and balance.
Glimmer has always been a bright mind with an even brighter personality, striving for excellence and success, and has never let her misfortunes, whether it be her powers going haywire or a plan not going through, weigh on her. at least, that's what she shows to her people and mother.
but, on the inside, she is actually very insecure over her lack of understanding of her own powers, what her mother thinks of her, and how she can handle being future Queen. afraid of change and what fate could hold for her, Glimmer is avoidant of talking about her upcoming role to Brightmoon, seeing Castaspella again ( they haven't talked in years ), or taking a break from her leadership in the Rebellion.
design would be inspired by Ube by kleahvii, Mika by kienan_lafferty, Marlowe & Buwa by sleeepybacon. high focus on the astral theming, with minor details of the angelic theme. i imagine her with either pinkish blonde hair or black hair with pink and blue ombre streaks. her species would be a hybrid of elf ( Micah ) and chimera ( Angella ).

Bow - Guardian of Whispering Woods, Friend of Madame Razz, Best Friend of Princess Glimmer's, Son of George and Lance, and Co-Leader of the Rebellion. 20 yrs, 6'0, is a runaway from home after a particularly bad argument ensued between himself and his family. he is a pacifist and uses his archery to assist, not to cause harm ( or, at least, irreversible harm ).
his reasons for running away aren't exactly known, even to Glimmer herself, and he always gives half-truths or not-necessarily-lies to anyone who asks about his family and history. but he is very open about his beliefs, his current living situation ( currently resides in the Whispering Woods ), and how he feels.
as the Rebellion's mechanic and stealth strategist, Bow uses his technological intelligence and creativity to aid his allies. he's proven time and time again to be reliable, intuitive, and thinking of just about everything. whether or not that's a good thing.
in contrast to his secrecy, Bow is open-minded, well-meaning, and has a very strong belief in kindness. after living in the Whispering Woods on his own for a few years, and experiencing hardships unbeknownst to anyone else, he aims to be the example for others that people weren't for him.
design would be inspired by Jequ and Agnes by dewfroq, and Earth-42 Miles Morales in Across The Spiderverse. i think i want to make him a cyborg-type of character.

Angella - Queen of Brightmoon, Mother of Princess Glimmer, Widowed Wife of King Micah, and Angel of Etheria. 47(?) yrs old, 7'5, her exact origins are unknown, even to her daughter. some speculate that she was born from a star or moon, others guess she is from a different dimension entirely. the only one who even had an idea was the late King Micah.
benevolent, calm, and wise, Angella has been Queen for longer than she has been anything else. in some ways, she considers that a blessing. in others, she considers it a curse. accepting her fate decades ago, the pain has dulled enough to be barely noticeable.
though most don't know it, she has lived way longer than almost any of the Etherians, having experienced more than the Horde's genocide and eventual war. maybe even the universe beyond Despondos.
her abilities align, though not rely on, with the moons and stars, especially with specific constellations. but, as Despondos has a lack of those constellations ( and there are much less stars in the sky ), Angella has not reached her full power in decades.
it's only to Glimmer that she shows her true self, the self that is curious, easily endeared, and overall heartful and passionate, which is a stark contrast to the all-knowing, mysterious, powerful being that is the Queen of Brightmoon. because of this, her daughter has a hard time explaining to others that her mother isn't as stonewalled as she appears.
design would be inspired by Lucifer by fourleafisland, Sera by idolomantises, and Lifegiver and Sold Adopt Design by sleeepybacon. she is a flight-based chimera that has a lot of astral and angel theming, with her facial features obscured by a secondary, smaller set of wings.

Hordak - Emperor of the Fright Zone, Father of Adora, The 'Big Boss'. 55 ( appearance wise ), 6'7, his origins are about as unknown as Angella's. it's unknown if he even likes or dislikes to discuss it, as no one has dared to ask him about his life before the Horde.
having brought Etheria to its knees decades ago, Hordak is easily bored or disinterested in his surroundings, often indulging himself in sadism for entertainment. however, he does have a soft spot for his children, Imp and Adora, and finds enjoyment in their company.
when She-Ra comes around, he isn't all that irritated. in the beginning, at least. in fact, he's rather riveted by the new challenge. discovering her identity, however, made all the difference. now, he constantly has to pick between being a father and being an Emperor.
design would be inspired by Fei by cronchy_baguette, Jacks by par0llel, Unnamed OC by crazycomet107, and Miguel O'Hara Illustration by sairasays. his design would definitely be a mix of cyborg and beast, lots of predator and prey metaphors.

Shadow Weaver - Sorceress of the Fright Zone, Second In Command, Mother of Adora and Catra. 50(?), 5'11, was raised in the Crimson Waste, but ran away and became a student in Mystacor at a young age. after obtaining the dark arts, however, she was banished and considered a freak of nature. soon after, she was found by Hordak.
the 'freak of nature' title didn't leave, however. rather, Shadow Weaver had to embrace it in order to become immune, using her dark magic to protect and provide for herself and whatever or whoever she needs to succeed or gain power.
she keeps most, if not all of her relationships at arms length, paranoia and trust issues running deep. though this doesn't exclude her daughters, Adora and Catra, it's less so with them. even if it's for separate reasons.
after Adora turned on the Horde, this instilled Shadow Weaver's already unstable mindset and kicked it into overdrive. obsessive, aggressive, and erratic in behavior, she eventually becomes a danger to herself and others.
design would be inspired by Peter Pan & Captain Hook Illustrations by sairasays, The Heads and The Witch by kelpible, and Arek ( 3rd form ) by sleeepybacon. her design would be parallel to her life as Light Spinner.

Catra - Cadet of the Horde ( former ), Force Captain, Daughter of Shadow Weaver. 19 yrs, 5'7, was abducted as a toddler and taught to be a solider, though succession rates are varying. she was originally born in a Kingdom, but her memories are limited and she's rather uninterested ( or unmotivated, it's not clear ) in finding out where she's from.
as she was raised by Shadow Weaver, Catra became an odd mix of codependent, lazy, defiant and aggressive, borderline sadistic, obsessive, and jealous, driving away most people, which only solidified her unhealthy relationships.
once Adora left the Horde, she was no better than her mother, in terms of mental decline, and it was part of the reason why she became Force Captain. unofficially speaking.
design would be inspired by Eralisto by animatorroseoak, Bacon 1 and Bacon 2 by sleeepybacon, Cairo by cronchy_baguette, and Elliot by spam0_llel. i like to think her design becoming more and more feral // unhinged as she develops.

Scorpia ( Lynda ) - Force Captain, Ex-Warrior of the Crimson Waste, Sister of Octavia, Harbinger of Poison. 21 yrs, 6'3, a fighter with a tough exterior, but a gentle soul. once she gets to know you, anyway. in her time in the Horde, she has formed a bond with Octavia and knew of Catra and Adora, but hadn't met them personally until Catra becam Force Captain.
after running away from the Crimson Waste after killing the leader, Scorpia was recruited by Hordak for her strength and poison // paralytic touch. though, it wasn't exactly like she had a choice.
when meeting Catra, the two were at arms-length for a while, with Scorpia being a little off-put by the other's intensity in bringing Adora back. but, somehow, they eventually become friends. as much as they could be, anyway, considering the circumstances.
design would be inspired by Gora ( tall, dark-haired goliath ) by pen.lilixeesketche and Tora and Gabu by par0llel. i read up the original character's details and decided to have kind of a 'mish-mash' of the original and reboot ( not quite, though ).

Entrapta ( Es'Tra ) - The Fae of Entanglement, Lady of Dryll, Heart of Technology. Late 40s ( forgot specific age ), 4'10, works for the Horde as their technician, isolated and muted, but finds comfort in the Emperor's company. when he has time for that.
no one really knows why or how she got there, but it's evident that she's chronically exhausted and has a habit of becoming hostile with those who don't respect her space ( it's how she met Catra one on one ). when she's in a better mood, however, she's more likely to talk, but not guaranteed, and shows to always have more knowledge than anyone would expect.
in the rare instances she's completely happy, Entrapta is very friendly, engaging, and there's an increased percentage she'll share technology // technological-know-how with you.
design would be inspired by Bitten Lady and Faubron by animatorroseoak, Eris by boots.oc, and Remi by par0llel. lots of plant cycle symbolism in her environments and hair.

Double Trouble ( Rebekk ) - Diamond of Mischief, Multi-Mask, Fae of Deceit. Early 20s ( exact age is unknown ), 5'11, a busybody that absolutely hates the Horde, which helps them not give a damn about anything more than bare minimum privacy, and who also happens to be Glimmer's cousin, adopted by Castaspella.
when they're not busying spying on the Horde, Double Trouble spends time working on their own plays and shows or trying to play around with their peers, being a generally needy person that craves attention and validation. it's not hard to make them happy, though. usually, a simple compliment makes their entire day.
none of their family knows of their work, though. and they'd like to keep it that way.
design would be inspired by Rue by lizard_b.rain, Thraniavas by spidertams, Cantaluse by animatorroseoaks, and Original Character Animation by kelapabiru. a random design tidbit that doesn't really matter, i like to think their hair is dyed blonde, but they have brown // black roots.

I know that I haven’t done anything for my Cult Of The Lamb AU. That’s because I ran dry in the inspiration department and couldn’t figure out some of the main characters backstory’s. But with the new update coming very soon my inspiration sparked and I figured out the backstory for the 4 allies of the Red Crown! But if I make a comic for them I know that I’ll lose motivation. So I’ll just say their backstories in this post! Some of these are more than others. Maybe one day I’ll have the motivation to make comics for them. But for now, behold the tales of the 4 allies!

Meril
Meril was born on a pirate ship along with her twin sister Amelia. Their mother was the captain of their ship and a was known as the pirate queen. But it was just a title, they aren’t actually royalty.
As the twins grew up it became very clear how different Meril and her sister were. Amelia aced every pirate challenge she faced, ready to be next in line for captain. Could easily charm anyone for all of their money. As for Meril, she continued to fail again and again in the pirate challenges. She could never talk to anyone, always flustering and messing up her words.
But her mother never punished Meril for her mistakes. Instead trying to find a way to help Meril grow her confidence. Her mother’s love kept Meril hopeful… until it happened…
One stormy night, the waves were so high that the entire crew needed to work together to prevent them from going overboard. Meril and her mother were keeping the sails from unfolding. However in the storm, Meril saw something. A light in the sky one brilliant and bright. Before she realized it, Meril had let go of the rope making the sails unfurl. Her mother fell into the ocean, the waves took her under.
Amelia was in rage. In fact if Meril wasn’t family Amelia would have killed her right there. Instead Meril was banished from the ocean. If Meril ever steps foot in the ocean then Amelia will kill her. Meril was placed at the docks in Pilgrims Pass where the light house keeper took her in. She taught Meril their ways and had Meril as her apprentice.
Things were fine for a while. What was until the Red Beast took the light house keeper into the shadows. With no one else to lead Pilgrim’s Pass, everyone looked to Meril the apprentice. So without full training, Meril became the leader of Pilgrim’s Pass.
Sozo
Sozo was found as a baby near the Spore Grotto. He was found by the healer/leader of the Grotto, Florance or Flo for short. She took in Sozo and treated him like her own son. Flo taught Sozo how to mix certain ingredients to create medicine and how to lead their people. But Sozo still isn’t ready to lead the Spore Grotto yet.
But he doesn’t mind, more time on his side project. And what is it? Making mushrooms into bombs that cause different effects!
Plimbo
Many years ago, he was a pirate who stole from the rich and gave it to the poor. One day he decided to steal from the biggest treasure horde in the world, Kallamar’s treasury. Plimbo and his crew managed to steal the treasure, however they failed to escape Anchordeep. Kallamar sunk their ship and took his riches back.
Before Plimbo fell into the waters of Anchordeep, he vowed vengeance on Kallamar for his greed. His soul never passed on, instead it’s still deep in Anchordeep’s waters. Pulling followers of Kallamar to their doom. But Plimbo’s souls will never rest until the greedy, cowardly bishop falls.
Midas
Midas was once a traveler who explored the world. His travels brought him to the Land of the Old Faith where he met Chemach, long before she was chained. She offers Midas a place to rest his feet after his long journey. Midas was a little nervous at first but calmed down when given a drink. But he can’t remember what else happened that day. He woke up alone, his chest in pain and strange yellow markings on his skin.
A passing explorer found Midas struggling to stand up and went to help him. But when they touched hands the explorer turned into gold. Midas panicked and ran away, turning monsters into gold as he continued to run. Once he found a safe place, Midas tried to remember what happened, but couldn’t. He couldn’t understand what was happening, why he could turn beings into gold.
As time went on he found out that he didn’t need to eat or drink, he couldn’t age, and continued to hide from everyone or everything that came by. That was until Ratau found him. The previous bearer of the Red Crown found Midas but didn’t attack. Instead Ratau offered to help Midas figure out what was happening to him. With his kindness, Midas figured out how to not only control his powers but figure out what happened. Chemach had inserted a relic inside of Midas that caused him his powers.
After the cult disbanded Midas continued to follow the ways of the Red Crown. It had taken him in and helped teach him how to control his powers. He will be forever grateful and loyal to the Red Crown. So Midas decided to make a cave full of treasure to be used for any Red Crown bearer. He kept it hidden inside a cave away from the prying eyes of the bishops. Midas takes in lost travelers to help them recover, but turns any followers of the bishops into gold.

Looking Forward (and Back)
I'm feeling a little better mentally about the whole project; I've cleared up my bibliography and also altered my project proposal a little. This time I did attempt to make it more open-ended, and that's because I've thought about some potential renovations to the idea.
A lot of this has been inspired by Doom - the originals, not the remakes. They're really good games, and the art and level design are very intriguing. I watched a very interesting video by GermanPeter about what the levels could be as real-life places, and it made me think about the abstract, surreal nature of the visuals. It's something that could be quite interesting to replicate. For example, in the video, Peter suggests that MAP02, The Underhalls, is not a sewer system as it first appears, but actually a network of flooded subway tunnels, with various stops where you can scavenge for loot and fight demons.
I've also gotten quite hung up on the Sinister Workshop vs Dark Tomb debacle, and I think the best way to get around this is to combine the ideas into one cohesion, called "Sinister". It'll be chunky, mechanical and industrial, while also appearing fantastical and almost Gothic. This style has been proven to work - once again, look at Doom.
Some of the Doom maps do still carry a sense of dread and unease, as you creep through darkened corridors, expecting an ambush at any moment. But they also have the more adrenaline-fuelled segments you'd expect from a shooter, running circles around a hungry horde and blasting them into mincemeat. Doom does attempt full-on horror in some segments, too. There's a map in the cartoonishly malicious Plutonia Experiment called Hunted, where you're trapped in a maze filled with Archviles (particularly resilient demons who can revive the dead for extra fun), not enough ammo to kill them all, and all the while, as if to mock you, it plays the bunny song from the end of Doom 2.
A lot of Doom 1 maps had this more horror focus, actually. Obviously nowadays, it's not scary, but back then, when you were confined to keyboard controls, a crap resolution, and the old-school software renderer that made dark areas DARK, it was probably pretty spooky. With this ethos, I can have my cake and eat it - I can keep making the slower horror-atmosphere game, and also make it more active.
This is what I want to do. This is the vibe I want to replicate. Here's my idea for more fleshing-out. Essentially, you're in the afterlife - the god of death has entered a deep sleep, and the world is being subverted by his altered consciousness. Since nobody can properly die anymore, only existing as malformed ghosts in the warped remnants of the afterlife, you've been sent to wake the god up from his slumber and banish these spirits back to the ethereal realm. The surrealism still works here - it's all in a dream-like world, but it's also the afterlife. Think of some of the music videos for TOOL songs, where strange visuals are used to signify the dying process, or passing in and out of consciousness. This helps to explain the inevitable weirdness of the environment, and also relates to many of the interesting themes that people have extrapolated from the original Midas myth: dreams, surrealism, illusion, conspiracy, myth.
And, a final note, enemies. Also inspired by Doom (what can I say, I love boomer shooters) I think I'll have enemies that are 2D sprites. They'll be fun to draw, easier to animate, and help to make the world seem off. If the world is 3D and they're not, it'll give everything an optical illusion vibe, which is what I want.
A final final note: I think I might call it Sinister Afterlife. But it's just Sinister for now.

A basic timeline is now live on the blog! It can be found at /MEMORIA . It is Gaius biased and Garlean heavy, ending at the conclusion of ARR. Some dates given are estimates. Since I do not think my theme is very mobile friendly, a text-only version will be below the cut. Timeline below contains spoilers for 1.0 and ARR's questline.
1513 - Solus zos Galvus establishes the Garlean Empire.
1521 - Gaius Baelsar is born. Garlemald conquers Othard and Ilsebard, and encounter their first primal threat.
1552 - Garlemald takes over Doma.
1557 - After seeding unrest, Gaius Baelsar, now a Legatus, takes Ala Mhigo. Sharlayans send ambassadors to Garlemald to forge a peace treaty after getting wind of the state of Ala Mhigo. The negotiations bear no fruit; Sharlay begin plans to evacuate their Dravanian settlement.
1562 - Garleans move to take over Mor Dhona, unaware of the dragon that slumbered there: Midgardsormr. Airships and Dravanian hordes clashed; Midgardsormr downed Agrius, sinking it into Silvertear Lake, shortly before the ship exploded, killing the dreadwyrm and causing irrepairable damage to the area.
The Bozja Citadel in Garlemald begins to experiment with the Allagan Lunar Transmitter. As the lesser moon, Dalamud, begins to glow, the Transmitter explodes, killing Midas nan Garlond. Cid nan Garlond defects Garlemald shortly after.
Shortly after, Emperor Solus grants Nael van Darnus approval to use Project Meteor on Eorzea against the rising Primal threat. Varis yae Galvus, Solus's grandson, and Gaius van Baelsar oppose the use of the plan, and both men work to undermine it's development.
Following Agrius's destruction, Gaius van Baelsar retreats to Ala Mhigo, and Garlemald at large postpones it's invasion of Eorzea. The decade is dubbed "The Age of Calm", from 1562 - 1572.
1562 - 1572: Age of Calm
The beginning of the Seventh Umbral Era: The Calamity
1572 - Nael van Darnus and her legion build Castrum Novum in Mor Dhona. It houses the Lunar Transmitter and intends to call Dalamud down from beside the greater moon. While adventurers are able to destroy the transmitter, Dalamud is still summoned via Meteor: Nael is slaughtered in the process.
Dalamud continues to fall. As the red moon grows in the sky, The Battle of Carteneau commences: the Grand Companies of Eorzea battle Nael van Darnus's Legion. During the crux of the battle, the moon splits, releasing it's captive: Bahamut.
Following a failed summon of the Twelve, an Archon known as Louisoix Levellieur teleports surviving adventurers five years into the future. Louisoix, aided by prayer and released aether, transforms into a primal: the Phoenix. The bird tears Bahamut into pieces and saves Eorzea from annihilation. Bahamut's heart sinks into the core of Hydaelyn and claims what is left of Louisoix's spirit.
1575 - Gaius van Baelsar, admist the chaos and rebuilding effort following the Calamity, constructs outposts throughout Eorzea for his XIVth Legion. He renamed Castrum Novum to Castrum Centri, and sets up Castrum Meridianum.
The Ultima Weapon is unveiled in Ala Mhigo by Lahabrea, an Ascian. After forging an alliance with the Ascians, Gaius sets his sights on a new route to conquer Eorzea.
A Realm Reborn
1577 - Livia sas Junius, tribunus of Gaius's XIV Legion, leads a surprise attack on the Waking Sands. She kills most within, kidnapping Minfilia Warde, Urianger Augurelt, Papalymo Totolymo, and Tataru Taru. Taken back to Castrum Centri, Minfilia is beaten and interrogated on the Echo's properties and their ability to resist tempering. All captives survive and are rescued by the remaining Scions and the newly titled Warrior of Light.
Gaius van Baelsar, upon Garuda's summoning, takes advantage of the primal's nature and taunts the Lady of the Vortex. Outraged, she calls forth both Ifrit and Titan by way of torturing their beastly followers. In one fell swoop, Gaius absorbs all three primal's aether, storing it within the Ultima Weapon. He offers the Alliance an ultimatium: surrender, or perish.
The Scions of the Seventh Dawn persuade the Grand Companies of Eorzea to stand against Gaius van Baelsar, much like they had Nael van Darnus five summers past. They prepare their attack, titled Operation Archon.
Gaius van Baelsar gives Rhitahtyn sas Arvina command of Cape Westwind. He is felled by the Warrior of Light shortly after, as Operation Archon saw Cape Westwind as an easy target to disrupt communications among the Imperial forces.
Livia sas Junis is slaughtered as the Eorzean Alliance pushes into Castrum Meridianum.
Gaius van Baelsar, piloting the Ultima Weapon, stations himself in the Praetorium. Despite multiple attempts to bring the Warrior of Light onto his side, they fail to see reason. As each primal's aether is ripped from the Weapon by the aid of Hydaelyn, the Ultima Weapon begins to break down. Lahabrea activates the core of the Ultima Weapon: the Heart of Sabik, unleashing a spell with the same devestating results as Meteor. Gaius is thrown fron the machina and killed as the Praetorium crumbles.

-2:4 was a marvel season, the reveals were that the device was the zero point and that you can in fact ctrl-c ctrl-v the battle bus (thanks tony)
-the entirety of 2:5 was jones using the IO's funds to pay whatever people he could to defend the zero point
-they kept the foundation's VA secret (but we knew)
-ariana grande is a side effect of the aliens scanning peoples brains and taking the average of what's going on in them to display
-3:1 was a nothing season, the 7 just have a home now
-3:2, 3:3, 3:4 had nothing to do with any celebrities outside of the sole survivor of the 7 being an alternate universe version of the paradigm where she is brie larson (because they promised they wouldnt re-release paradigm ever.)
4:1, donald mustard is gone, the 7 are gone (brie larson is holding the island together, this kills her) and the story kinda turns to nothing. beginning with chapter 4 it's like a nothingburger. 4:2 has a gang war apparently.
5:1, theyre getting back on track, they introduce hope, they introduce the syndicate and the core of 5:1 is a peely rescue mission for jones
5:2 pandora's box is opened, the nike brand is represented as a goddess.
5:3 THE MACHINIST!!! also magneto does just about fuck all so he's off the list for now
5:4 we got another marvel season. doom wants the pandora's box, the "boss fight" against doom didn't really help the storyline at all, had no hype to it.
Remix: what if we took one of the most beloved seasons of all time (2:2) but we don't include the grotto until week 2 and the shark until week 3 and its snoop dogg instead of midas and eminem with the minigun you get by going to a place that calls you a faggot and then you had ice spice take over the shark and instead of a solid rifle and grappler you get a rifle with a strange bonus and a grappler that actively hurts you and a teammate that had people getting killed until they disabled her chillers and the big event was just a juice world concert instead of the doggvice again

Here's also your friendly reminder that from september of 2017 to the end of 2018 they were adding on pieces of story for an entirely separate mode called save the world, promising that it was paid early access and it would be a free to play mode in the future. in 2018, they ended the story on a cliffhanger at the end of canny valley, with an entire zone left to tell the story of.
They said the story was going to continue, until JUNE 30TH, 2020 UPDATE (c2s3) came along, with save the world's story being declared FINISHED, and the free-to-play thing was gone in favour of a "premium experience", which is a joke that people still throw around whenever STW gets brought up.
It remained a paid mode (albeit at a lower buy-in) but you were no longer able to earn vbucks from quests and mission rewards, which is often cited as the real reason that they made the shift (also founder's codes go for hundreds now because they give you the STW stuff and also you get vbucks from quests)
Better Revenue had good lava from chapter 1 season 8 and we had the Twine Beans (patent pending) all the way until like chapter 4 or something. it was well overdue and it came around the time they put C3's movement into STW
I remember the old days of fortnite when they had two coherent storylines running parallel and completely separate (outside of the season X black hole, which was explained by RaY making a deal with the cube. im pretty sure that isnt followed up on), and I remember actually finishing the Canny Valley questline way back when you only had Gravestone as the final quest. I remember Canny part 2 and 3 coming out and having to rush to finish part 3 so I could get a Storm King pin.
EPIC GAMES HAD TWO COHERENT STORYLINES. THEY HAD A SOLID PAID PVE TOWER DEFENSE/HORDE SHOOTER AND A BATTLE ROYALE. THE PAID MODE HAD A PROMOTION WHEN THEY COMPLETED A BIG PART OF THE STORY (STORM KING) WHERE FINISHING IT BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR GOT YOU SENT AN ACTUAL PIECE OF FORTNITE HISTORY BY EPIC GAMES THEMSELVES ON TOP OF THE EXTRA FREE VBUCKS YOU WERE GETTING.

Some of us, people like you and me, went to the trouble of working for our experience, actually leveling. I built my rp backstory bit by bit, level by level, and in hours of rp campaigns where I had to wait my damn turn and roll for perception or initiative. I killed myself almost, raiding for certain perfect transmogs that I would never attain because I could not get geared up enough for Mythic+. His wealthy 400+ ilvl main would have denied me the chance! Or, I'm out there farming looks on my own for hours because the armor is too expensive to buy on the AH. Buy from scary-rich bank alts like him who always jack the prices up!
Trixany: Mhrm, preach it, Night Elf brother.
Sharpen: But he's gonna just walk in the tavern at level five and tell them how it is? Spoiled rich bastard.
Trixany: Eh, it's Wyvern's Tail. I've seen way worse than that.

Plans for the Zombie Game
As previously mentioned, the zombie idea is less thematic, moreso drawing from the Midas story as a metatext. This is cool because Greek retellings are quite popular as stories - oftentimes they'll recreate a classic tale in a modern setting, or make it a feminist retelling, which sounds like it'd be a niche but there's a surprising number of them. There's a theory that there's only seven original stories, and everything created after is somehow an alteration of the original seven. I don't believe that, but it does prove that the ancient stories are a good blueprint.
I want this game to take place primarily in a forest. Despite it being infested with zombies, it'll be the middle of the day, and the forest will be alive with birdsong. I want to create a juxtaposition between the horror and the environment, but it also helps to sell the idea that something can seem good, i.e. a natural forest environment, while ending up dangerous. I spend a lot of time in forests, and I've taken a few images of particularly striking ones. These are the sorts of environments I'd try to replicate - slightly gloomy and misty.
The Midas influence comes more into play here - instead of spreading gold to everything he touched, this story's stand-in for the King spread disease. The only way to cleanse the infected forest is to open the sluices at the end of the level, which floods the area, much as Midas had to wash his hands in the river Pactolus to clean him of his curse.
Gameplay-wise, I want to rekindle the primal human fear of being chased. What I see a lot of in zombie media is the undead infesting cities and towns. However, you can imagine that in a large-scale outbreak, they would spread into the wilderness. The gameplay will be sneaking around them, hiding, running and blocking; I think I talked about a basic combat system where you'd throw hatchets at the zombies, but I want it to be limited and only for very specific situations. This won't be a Killing Floor-esque massacre where you practically melt through the hordes with various weaponry, this will essentially reduce you to a hunter-gatherer against a sabretooth tiger. That's something I want to invoke in my game.
Technologically, it'll be quite simple. I want opening doors, readable notes, basic AI and a throwable weapon. I can probably retexture the first person gun and reuse that.
I'm really not sure which to choose yet.

This is just a rough draft of a dumb AU idea I had ^^;;
*The McDucks are dragons, and D&D and H&D&L (and Matlida's kids) are all part dragon.
*Scrooge is a Dragon of Gold. He can sense gold from miles away. He draws his strength from it; he eats it, he swims in it, he has flecks of gold, gold coins or gold dust in his feathers as they literally create themselves; he just needs to be near it and he'll be healthy. It's the reason why Magica wants him: she wants to kill Scrooge and gain the Midas Touch through his blood.
*Scrooge was the largest of his siblings, with large feathery wings and a white-red color scheme coat. He's very fluffy, with soft feathers that glitters gold in the light.
*He was the only one not to give up his prolonged dragon life in exchange for a mortal, duck one for something as ridiculous as love. He resented them and their husbands, so he shut himself away under Duckburg's caves and treasures, content on waiting for his sisters to return to him. They never did. Instead, Hortense and Quackmore die in an accident, Matilda disappears, and a guilt-ridden Scrooge reaches out to their children. He takes them in. He takes them on adventures, shows them the world, and discover what their dragon blood can do (he finds out quickly that whatever family Hortense married into was wrought in magic). He connects to that family, meets the cousins and relatives and shows them how their magic fits in the world. Still, Scrooge misses his sisters, and is afraid of losing the family he has now.
*D&D have the ability to turn into dragons, but they're smaller than Scrooge and doing drains their energy alot. H&D&L however, cannot.
*Of all the things to lose Della to, he loses her to the one thing he couldn't reach to. Where his wings couldn't fly to, where his magic (and his throat burned at the idea of it) couldn't get to. It was his fault, it was his Spear of Selene (crafted from pieces of his skin and moon gems from asteroids) and he was the one who gave her a way to give her eggs the stars. He doesn't blame Donald, he would've left too. What use was all the gold in the world if he couldn't trade it for Della?
*Duckburg has a deal with Scrooge: they'd pay him in riches if he protects the city. The Vultures are the ambassadors that accompany the mayor in their monthly offerings.
*Beakly and Webby are from a long line of servants offered to both serve and protect Scrooge (but mostly his large horde) alongside Quackfaster, the historian who Scrooge allowed to document his home until she just...never left, Launchpad, Scrooge's patroller and guard (although it was Scrooge who had to save Launchpad from a crash more often than not) and Gyro Gearloose, an inventor who's trying to bridge the line between science and magic.

Looking back on it now, Donald should've prepped the boys about their uncle before they actually got there. Considering how they cowered behind him, shaking and quietly pleading for their return to the boat in exchange for good behavior, Donald realized the position he was in.
Here he was, on the doorstep of McDuck Manor, about to ask his uncle to care for his boys; and although a deep feeling of peace enveloped him upon returning to his home, his hands shook from anxiety and the prospect of 'what if.'
Still. He needed this job. He was already so behind on payments and rents and bills and the boys were starting to branch out towards their interests and the houseboat was falling apart and the repairs were expensive and-
Breathe in for 4. Hold for 7. Let out for 8.
Just for today, he told himself.
Steeling his nerves, he rang the bell.
"Seriously, Uncle Donald, I promise I'll never try to steal the houseboat again!"
"I promise I won't do any more schemes! ...Unless, you know, they're really good!"
Donald groaned, pinching the end of his beak. Seriously, how did his kids have this wild of an imagination?
"Boys! I'm not gonna sell you."
Huey clutched his book closer, mumbling nonsense as Dewey frantically searched the skies. Louie puffed up, standing on his toes as he grabbed the edges of Donald's collar.
"Why else would we be at the lair of the-"
The ground shook. The birds stopped chirping. Even Angus, the spitfire of a peacock that he was, stopped wailing. The three frantic voices behind him cut off.
A thunderous growl erupted from behind the mansion. The sun was blocked by a huge figure coming from the edges of the grounds. Great wings flared up, casting an impressive shadow upon the four ducks waiting below.
"The McDuck dragon…" gasped Huey. Donald sighed.
No going back now.
After ten years apart, Donald supposed that his uncle did cut a terrifying image. His pure white coat shone brightly under the sun's glare, highlighting his lithe, mile-long frame as it unraveled from the mansion and made its way towards them, snaking around the towers. His claws clicked loudly whenever it made contact to the brick walls, but never grasped hard enough to damage the ancient stone. His wings stayed posed high in intimidation. Bright, liquid gold eyes were the only thing alight apart from the rays, never breaking contact with the Ducks.
Before he knew it, Donald was face to face with the Duckberg resident protector, the Gold Dragon.
His Uncle Scrooge.
