One thing I think is wild is how many people attribute Crystals name “Crystal Palace” to being the football club as opposed to… Crystal Palace the famous art exhibit building.
It isn’t unusual to think of seeing as we know her parents are rich art folks that they probably made this as an intentional choice.

"The folly and absurdity of the Queen in allowing this trumpery must strike every sensible and well-thinking mind, and I am astonished the ministers themselves do not insist on her at least going to Osborne during the Exhibition, as no human being can possibly answer for what may occur on the occasion. The idea ... must shock every honest and well-meaning Englishman. But it seems everything is conspiring to lower us in the eyes of Europe."
- Queen Victoria's uncle, King Ernest Augustus I of Hanover, writing of the Great Exhibition of 1851.

Dinomania
A pile of dinosaur bones are not dramatically attention grabbing in their own right but what made the original paleontologists stand out from their archaeological colleagues was the way that they presented their finds to the public. For the Great Exhibition of 1851 Richard Owen commissioned the sculptor Waterhouse Hawkins to create life-sized reconstructions of dinosaurs. Famously, a dinner party…

The Crystal Palace was built in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition (of the Works of Industry of All Nations) of 1851, a project Prince Albert was very passionate about. After the exhibition, the Palace was relocated to Sydenham from June 1854 until it burned down in November 1936.
Queen Victoria visited the Great Exhibition three times with her family, and 34 times on her own.
The event was such a success that the profit made was used to found the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science Museum, and the Natural History Museum. The museums were built in an area nicknamed "Albertopolis".

What name was given to the international display of design and manufacturing held in London in 1851?
The Great Exhibition took place in London during the year 1851. It served as a grand celebration of human creativity and innovation, showcasing the very best of industry and design. The exhibition was conducted within a specially designed glass building known as the Crystal Palace, which in itself was an extraordinary feat of engineering.
With over six million visitors from various parts of the world, the Great Exhibition served as a platform for individuals to marvel at the incredible inventions and products on display. From steam engines and telegraphs to pottery and textiles, there was a myriad of items for everyone to appreciate. The event was an era of great excitement and optimism, as people were inspired by what they saw and what was possible.
One of the most profound outcomes of the Great Exhibition was its impact on industry and trade, as it helped establish Britain as a global leader in manufacturing and design. It paved the way for future exhibitions and world fairs, and encouraged international cooperation and exchange, as countries came together to showcase their own achievements and learn from each other.
