Lighter knew you as a shy person who was always nervous when talking to you, was quiet, and seemed embarrassed to look at him. But at the same time, you were calmly communicating with others, which made him wonder why you were acting like this only with him. When he asked Burnice about it, she just giggled, without giving him any explanation. He didn't dwell on it, but deep down, it bothered him a little. He was worried that you felt uncomfortable with him, and that would complicate an already difficult situation, because he was in love with you

When you approached him one evening and quietly asked if you could talk, he agreed. You moved away from the others, although he definitely felt the curious stares of the others, but his attention was focused on you. You were obviously nervous, but so far he didn't know the specific reason for that. There hasn't been anything that's happened lately that could have offended him, otherwise he would have remembered it, and apparently you didn't want the others to hear your conversation. When you finally spoke, he heard you quietly admit to him that you were in love with him. Your voice was barely above a whisper, but he could hear every word you said

Looking at you, he immediately realized that you were very nervous. You were clutching the edges of your jacket, there was a blush on your cheeks, you didn't look up at him, and your voice was trembling. He didn't know what could have happened before, that you would faint or that you would run away, but so far none of this has happened, he decided to get ahead of you and told you that your feelings are mutual. Your blush seemed to get even stronger and you looked at him in disbelief. To make sure he wasn't joking, Lighter leaned over and placed a kiss on your cheek. He probably would have kissed you on the lips, but he wasn't sure if you could handle it, given your shy nature. Even from a kiss on the cheek, you blushed to the tips of your ears and, unable to utter a word, opened and closed your mouth

When you returned, the others hurried to congratulate you. It was obvious that they knew about your feelings for him, and his feelings were never a secret to them, and apparently they were the ones who convinced you to confess your feelings to him. Lighter intended to thank them for it later, but for now he was going to focus all his attention on you. Your embarrassment was completely understandable to him now, and looking at how you continued to blush next to him, it seemed sweet to him

⚖️ Ryunosuke Naruhodo x Reader 🏹

Ryunosuke and you have known each other for a long time, but even that couldn't change the fact that you felt embarrassed around him. It was obvious to everyone who saw you when you were chatting. But what was less obvious was that Ryunosuke also felt excitement around you. Thanks to his work as a lawyer, he became more confident and didn't openly show that he was nervous, but he just couldn't help but worry around you. He was in love with you and wanted to look good in your eyes. But because of this, he noticed less how nervous you really were around him, even when you weren't talking, but just sitting next to him on the couch or at the table

He could see how nervous you were when you quietly asked him if you could talk. He asked you if everything was okay, seeing that you were nervous and didn't look at him, but you just nodded. He agreed to talk to you, not seeing it as a problem, and you left your friends. The fact that this was supposed to be a one-on-one conversation made him worried. Could something bad have happened, but you didn't want others to know about it? Maybe you needed help and you turned to him because you trusted him the most? Ryunosuke was trying to figure out what had happened, and it wasn't until you quietly told him that you were in love with him that he looked at you. All the thoughts that were swarming in his head seemed to disappear and he just looked at you. He could hear his own heart pounding and felt the blood rushing to his face, looking at you, who was very nervous but waiting for him to say something

You were obviously nervous. You squeezed your eyes shut, afraid to look at him, he could hear your voice tremble when you confessed, but you tried to stay calm. Unable to say anything, he leaned forward and hugged you. Ryunosuke was hugging you, burying his face in your shoulder and heard your embarrassed cry. You didn't expect him to hug you. That was the last thing you thought he did. But he really hugged you and finally spoke, quietly thanking you for your confession and telling you that he had had such feelings for you for a long time, but he never found the strength to tell you about it

After your confession, your relationship seemed to become easier. Your excitement didn't go away, but now Ryunosuke saw it and tried to make you feel calmer around him. He really loved you, and your confession made him really happy, which is why he wanted you to be happy too and be willing to put in as much effort as possible for that

Kazuma found it easy to communicate with you despite the fact that you could often be quiet and embarrassed in his company. He was decisive, straightforward, and because of that, he could get you to talk, even though you were still nervous. He liked talking to you and tried to spend as much time with you as his job allowed. He was in love with you and planned to tell you about his feelings, but knowing how shy you were, he took his time with it, not wanting you to feel uncomfortable from his confession

After he finished his next day at work, he came to you. You asked him to meet you and he couldn't refuse you. When he came to you, the first thing he noticed was that you were very nervous. It was obvious. You fiddled with your handkerchief, trying to calm yourself down, but you didn't do it well. Kazuma looked at you expectantly, waiting for you to speak. You were silent for a couple of minutes, but when he was about to ask you what was the matter, you squeezed your eyes shut and blurted out a confession of your feelings for him. You fell silent and seemed to shrink, without stopping fiddling with the handkerchief in your hands. You were obviously nervous, not knowing what to expect, while Kazuma looked at you with his mouth slightly open and feeling a blush appear on his cheeks

As soon as his stupor passed, he immediately grabbed your hands and told you with a smile on his lips that he was in love with you too. Now it became obvious to him what was behind your shyness and why you were so nervous. He was happy to hear that you were in love with him and he was glad to have the opportunity to reciprocate your feelings, especially after he had wanted to tell you how he felt for so long. Now, since you confessed to him first, it means he was going to ask you out first

Kazuma was planning to arrange a wonderful date for you, and he was going to spend less time on this than on a confession. He didn't want you to think that his feelings for you were frivolous, which meant he had to approach your relationship with the same diligence with which he approached his work. He was going to make you happy and nothing could stop him

⚖️ Barok van Zieks x Reader 🍷

Barok is used to the fact that you were often nervous in his presence. He assumed it was because of his reputation, but your behavior didn't change even when you got to know each other better. You still rarely looked into his eyes, you were obviously nervous when you were talking and a blush appeared on your cheeks when you were sitting next to him. He didn't want to entertain the hope that you might have feelings for him, because he himself had romantic feelings for you, but he didn't want to start hoping for reciprocity only to find out later that you were afraid of him or were just overly shy by nature

You came to his office during your lunch break. You sometimes brought him a snack, knowing that Barok could work too hard, but this time you were in no hurry to leave. You still looked confused, but you asked him if he would mind if you talked. He nodded at a chair, inviting you to sit down. When you sat down, it took you a few seconds to gather your courage, but Barok saw how nervous you were. He saw how you looked at the floor in embarrassment and how your fingers were clutching the hem of your jacket. He wanted to ask you what you wanted to talk about, but you beat him to it, blurting out that you were in love with him, after which you squeezed your eyes shut and fell silent, as if wanting to hide and not hear his response to your feelings

Barok was silent, but you didn't see his face, which had a slight blush on it. None of those with whom he had worked for a long time had seen him so confused, so embarrassed. His voice brought you out of a little daze. Barok asked you to come to him after the end of the working day so that he could respond to your feelings more correctly, because his lunch break was almost over and he had to go to court. You looked at him and saw a slight blush on his cheeks, which gave you hope. You nodded awkwardly and left. He saw how your excitement was mixed with joy and he just couldn't resist kissing you on the cheek. You let out a confused squeak, but you didn't run away, just squeezed his hand a little harder, causing a smile on his face

He understood that most likely it was Iris who convinced you to finally confess to him. She was always perceptive, and the fact that you had feelings for each other was obvious to her, but you both kept quiet about it for too long for her to stay away. But now you've finally stopped hiding it from each other, which means you could be together after such a long silence

Phoenix Wright:

Mia set the standards of a lawyer really high;

Yes, he did recognize talented lawyers and knew to be humble, but he never found someone as great as her;

He read in the newspapers about a new lawyer who managed to win some cases that many of his coworkers refused to take;

He did some research on her and all the cases she handled, just out of curiosity;

And noticed that each case was notably tangled in its facts;

His curiosity brought him to court to attend one of her trials and see with his eyes if what the papers said was true;

He stayed in the background for some time, but eventually the fact that both of them were lawyers brought them to work together, and ultimately together;

She also started to attend his trials, and often wanted to discuss them with him, getting close;

Whenever a paper talked about her case and her "invincibility", he bought it and just added it to his collection;

They both learned a lot from each other, and even though she "stole" Phoenix's spotlight, he was more than happy and proud to leave her to these praises;

Trucy was kind of sad when another lawyer joined the house, but she easily influenced her, too, with her passion for magic;

They were often apart, since both their services were needed almost everywhere;

She traveled more willingly abroad, while Phoenix preferred to stay in the country, mostly because of Trucy and his old age and body;

So they also learned to deal with the distance.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo:

They met when Ryu was still learning how to be a good defense lawyer;

He got close because he heard about her and her skills from the inspectors, the various papers both Susato and Sholmes bought daily and in the court itself;

Whenever he wasn't defending someone, he was in court anyway to be a witness to others' trials and learn the profession faster;

It eventually became a fair trade, she helped him with law studies, and he taught her some Japanese;

When things started to get more serious, they had to start seeing each other "in secret", since the Japanese were not yet fully accepted in England, and the last thing he wanted to do was ruin in some way her career;

In court he often posed as her assistant, doing his best to understand each case and be somewhat useful for both her and his studies;

(He often loses some documents, so this task is quickly set aside);

He enjoys so much imagining the various cases and performing them, as if in a theatre, and very soon involves her in this "hobby";

She is often called to various countries to represent hers and to study new law systems, and Ryunosuke too has to go back to Japan, although much less frequently;

Each letter they send to each other in those times is jealously and preciously preserved;

And whenever they're finally reunited, travels are suspended for quite some time.

He'd be so lost and so caught off-guard that he'd stare at you blankly for a good minute. Since he's so used to being pranked on, who's to say this is not another bad joke of the universe's? What did his bracelet say? Were you lying about being worried about him?

Your chuckle snaps him out of it, bringing a flush of color to his cheeks. He just had to be so obvious...

"I'm serious, Apollo. If you want a good place to let it out then what's better than an amusement park?"

Being with you is more than enough, but anyway-

It really warms his heart whenever someone shows kindness and mercy to him, let alone if it came from you. With how his life has been going, sometimes he truly doubts if anyone cares for him at all.

"Okay, I'll go with you then."

The smile you show him in return was so adorable he could've screamed out his entire existence right there and then. Of course, he knew perfectly well it was simply a friendly gesture on your part, but that didn't damper the joy in the slightest.

Simon Blackquill

You invited the Simon Blackquill to a film screening? Wow. You liked him this much? Your boldness is laudable. It deserves one of those little toy prizes kids love so much.

But in all seriousness, Simon was very much thrilled to know you liked him enough to ask him to join you. As a friend. But alone. But just as a friend...

So how could he not jump to conclusions? Were you that dense? What if you had asked someone else and they took advantage of the situation, huh?! God, you were so helpless...

"I'm not sure you'll enjoy my company for something like that. You know what I'm like," he said with a smirk.

He meant it as a half-joke, but it showed more than half a glimpse of his insecurity. He liked teasing you - that much anyone knew at this point - but he was worried that once his other colors come out, you wouldn't want him around at all.

To never have you as his lover is something he'd accepted early on. But to lose you as a friend?

"Of course I know what you're like," you quipped. "If I didn't, why would I have invited you? Sometimes you're so dumb for someone who studied psychology."

After being stunned for a few moments, Simon laughed heartily at your comment. You were right - you were absolutely right. He was dumb.

Deep inside however, he was touched to know that someone like you has accepted him for who he was. Didn't matter if it was only at a platonic level - to him, this was more than enough.

Barok van Zieks (minor spoilers for DGS/TGAA2)

He had already been planning to visit the Great Exhibition (as he missed the previous due to... certain events) to tour Albert around. And so you inviting him to join you? Well. Suffice to say his heart and schedule were not ready.

The moment he made it back to his office, he double and triple checked his agenda for that week. Curses. It was more air-tight than any of his yet-to-be-opened wine bottles.

Of course, the three of you could go together as a group (you and Albert were close friends too) but Barok would prefer to enjoy his time with you two separately. Mostly because he would rather not Albert find out and possibly blabber about his true feelings, but anyway-

He wanted so dearly to go with you one-on-one as the opportunity hardly comes by; he really did. But he was not so rude and desperate as to push another dear friend he already made a promise to aside.

And so with a heavy heart he declined your offer. You understood the situation completely and were gracious enough to accept it, however the disappointment on your face was, though subtle, still very much apparent.

It was quite unlike the feared Lord van Zieks to let his spontaneous thoughts out in the open, but the compulsion to make it up to you somehow superseded his inherent shyness.

"Perhaps I could take you to a place of your choosing. Whenever your schedule allows for it..."

"That's not necessary at all! But... thank you for such a gracious offer. I'd be looking forward to it."

Sholmes is technically a dad. Whether anyone will admit to that or not. A total dilf? Absolutely- Okay, seriously though- It probably comes off as a shock that a very famous detective has been taking care of a child for the last ten years. Seeing how chaotic his own self seems to be. Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if y'all found this attractive, an actual good parent!

He's very affectionate. In more ways than one. He loves being near you, knowing you're safe, and that you're close enough to grab in case of a dangerous situation. He loves seeing your face during a stressful situation because now he has someone to be happy around. He's just a very loving guy, okay? Accept his affection.

He enjoys someone who's rather affectionate too. Someone who's willing to just, stick with him and deal with his crazy life. Someone who will stick with him and Iris. He’ll admit someday, that he’s happy you’ve come into his life.

Will rant to you about any ideas or inventions that have been starting to brainstorm within his mind. He can’t keep these ideas to himself, he needs someone to get excited with, dammit! He’ll make exaggerated hand motions while doing so, it’s funny to watch sometimes-

Literally drags you along for adventures and cases he's working on. He's literally just like an excited puppy, he's so happy to have you around to give him ideas- Or simply to just show off these difficult cases that he's already solved.

Absolutely LOVED dancing around with you. Just humming a little tune as he takes you by the hand and starts twirling you around- It's the cutest thing. I think it'd be funny if he knew how to waltz, as he doesn't seem like the person to know how to do that??? But he simply says it was for a silly little case he dived into.

Pretty much Golden Retriever energy. Just a big ball of energy, charisma, and goofiness. Also including how affectionate he is- He loves nuzzling into your neck, muttering how much he loves being around you. He loves holding you close, listening to your heartbeat.

His main love language is Gift Giving. He loves making you little trinkets to help out with everyday life, or just making you little things that you’d love to simply stare at. But his second love language is Physical Affection. As said before, he absolutely loves clinging onto you, like there’s nobody else in the world. Holding onto you as if you’d disappear any second.

Sometimes Ryunosuke thought how great it would be if you could spend your life together. And one day he decided that he had to tell you about his feelings, if only to stop keeping it a secret

He asked you to stay for dinner, knowing that it would be difficult for you to refuse, and while you helped him with the cooking, he told you how he felt about you. Out of surprise, you dropped the wooden spatula with which you were stirring the cooking food. Herlock saw how much you were embarrassed and at the same time shocked by his words, but instead of refusing, he heard your timid, reciprocal confession

Such eagerness could be heard at 221B Baker Street or the house of “The Great Detective” - Herlock Sholmes and Iris Wilson. May the days be cloudy or rainy nothing can ruin the mood the cheerfulness of the young assistant Iris whenever you're around. The giddiness she feels whenever you visit could always make you smile.

"(Y/n) You have to come with me to the upcoming science festival! I already have three tickets, for all three of us!"

No matter how tired you are you can never deny her, especially not when she asks so earnestly and her eyes! Oh, her eyes whenever she pleads! They glow! She's the very embodiment of pure joy, happiness, and warmth, she could make anyone feel better no matter what kind of mood they were having, and you couldn't help but adore the way she talks.

Even if it's a simple thing such as drinking her new blend, you always manage to eat the pastries she made, but most of the time you help her make the sweet pastries, but in most cases both of you would be covered in flour yet not minding it for how you were both laughing. Iris brings a side of you, a very nice and warm feeling, like how a mother loves her child . . .

Herlock too was a nice individual to be with, even though quite an eccentric individual he was still a companion that you enjoy being with but it made you very much have less time for your own personal things, for example, Herlock dragging you from your friends to show off his new invention or basically dragging you to his crazy and wacky shenanigans the same could be said about Iris, she would also always invite you to where ever she is, may it be her inviting you to their house so you can help her bake or going where ever she and Herlock goes, it could be very overwhelming but who are you to say no to them?

Herlock knows what he is doing. The many times when he always picked up a case near your house or city just to get close to you, the times when he put laudanum a sleeping drug on one of Iris's teas whenever you were at their house so you could sleep there, don't worry about bothering them it's really fine! While you sleep in the guest bedroom Herlock likes to watch you sleep maybe it was the way your relaxed state made him feel giddy or the fact that he can touch you and kiss you while you sleep. That, or just because you look really cute when you sleep. It's definitely because of the latter reason.

Whenever Herlock sees you baking, cooking, or just spending time with Iris, he just can't help but imagine what would it feel like but him hugging you from behind as you give him kisses while you call him your beloved husband…

"Dinner's ready Herlock!" You said as you took the freshly baked potato out of the oven while you did that Iris was preparing the table, putting the

cutleries neatly, she intentionally put your plate next to Herlock and hers, making sure that you would be in the middle. Herlock was already seated at the dining table, waiting for the two of you to arrive.

"Here you go! Hope you guys like enjoy it!" You said as you put down the bowl full of mashed potatoes that were still steaming. "Well then dig in!" you said as you sat in the middle, not knowing that you were unconsciously following their plan.

"My, this is incredibly good dear (Y/n), if you keep on cooking like this I might as well marry you, so I can taste this every day." Herlock said as he took another bite of the food, you then giggled "You're amusing Herlock." you said thinking what he said was some sort of flattery or joke, but Herlock was dead serious, he actually meant it and you felt a little flustered since you were caught off guard.

"(Y/n), there's a new festival tomorrow and I bought three tickets already, I was supposed to invite Mr, Van Zieks but he was busy, so was Gina and Mr, Kazuma, so you don't mind if you join us right? Just me you and Hurley!" Iris said cheerfully as she looked at you with such pleading eyes. If only you knew the exact plan she had.

"Ohh, Iris, I have plans tomorrow I have to help a friend of mine to do research about the new case he's trying to solve plus I have to be there to also babysit his daughter too…" You said dejectedly after you said that you noticed the immediate fade of the glimmer Iris had on her eyes and the smile she just had now vanished but was replaced with a dejected one, a sad smile that made you feel like you just ruined a dream of hers, you then noticed Herlock wiping his mouth with the napkin and taking out his pipe.

"Well that's a bother, Iris was excited for the festival and wanted anyone to be with her but all rejected the offer, mh it's such a shame…" Herlock said as he closed his eyes and blew his pipe smoke to the ceiling "It's alright, she'll find other friends to hang out with."

You were about to reply to Herlock's comment but Iris beat you to it.

"No need Hurley, I won't go to the festival…" Now that's when you saw little tears pricking in the corner of her eyes, such a scene truly broke your heart, and before you could stop yourself, you reached over to Iris and grabbed her hands, which made Iris shocked by the sudden move.

"I'll go! I'll talk to them so I can go to the festival! So please don't give me that look, Iris…" You said in a softly stern voice. Iri's eyes immediately lit up and her smile came back again. "Really! you would go!" Iris said excitedly as you nodded which made Iris yell out a little yay and as Herlock smiled and put down his pipe. "You would not regret it (Y/n), I swear you wouldn't!" Iris said as she hugged you.

After dinner, Iris wanted to sleep early so she could prepare herself for the big day tomorrow so you decided to leave soon after but Iris wanted you to stay so you could read her a bedtime story, even if it was late and there's a high chance that there will be fewer cabs at this late hour but your heart ached seeing how disappointed she was by the turn of events earlier you didn't want her to be unhappy or feel bad and besides, she asked you nicely after all.

When Iris started to doze off, you carefully moved away from the book and stood up where Herlock was with his trusty pipe in his hand.

"It looks like your soothing voice really made Iris sleep, that's a kind of talent that I needed before when Iris was a baby." Herlock chuckled reminiscing about those memories, You giggled in reply, "Well then my dear lady, I should walk you home, at this late hour there are many thugs that are willing to prey on an unsuspecting woman like you." Herlock said as you both walked down the stairs, even though you were worried that you might bother Herlock but at the same time you do prioritize your safety too, "Oh, well, you are right."

Walking home was very relaxing, small conversation there while Herlock smoked his pipe but it was a very pleasant silence and when you reached your home you said goodbye and goodnight.

"Well then thank you for walking with me Herlock, sorry if it was a bother, well then see you tomorrow!" You said but before you could open your door, Herlock took your hand and kissed it, he then gave you a very seductive eye and hugged you.

"Well then, I'll be off, make sure that you actually keep your promise tomorrow, yes? You do not want to ruin Iris's smile do you?. . .'

Being the great detective's partner was....an experience, while you certainly didn't expect her to be so...eccentric to say the least, you couldn't deny that those quirks of her didn't make her fun to be around. you also noticed that you two made a pretty great team when it came to solving cases. Overall living with her was a great experience, and maybe you had started seeing her in a way different than just a friend.

Little did you know that Harley had started seeing you in that way too but too scared to confess never acted out on her feelings, something that iris didn't fail to notice

"Harley, we need to talk"

"What is it, dear iris?"

The detective fell down in surprise before quickly getting up
