So I'm a firm believer of the fact that Bonnie Bennet deserved a lot better than what she got, and a part of me was happy that she had some sort of happiness with Enzo (before he died).

Having said that, a part of me also believes that their relationship feels like an after thought. I mean Enzo and Bonnie don't interact much in the beginning, in fact he was flirting more with Caroline when he first started to hang out with the gang.

But then suddenly we get a three year jump and Bonnie and Enzo are madly in love? Like we get no build up, no why? or how? or anything, just they are now together and in love. I know that they mentioned somewhere about how he was there after Damon left or whatever, but still, I think we deserved a better 'falling in love' story for Bonnie.

Now I'm not saying that the two of them shouldn't have ended up together, or whatever, I just think that their love story should have been explored more. I do think that the two of them made a great couple and they had great chemistry(to be honest Kat Graham had great chemistry with like everyone on the show).

Like Elena and Damon's relationship gets a proper setup, or even Caroline and Stephan's relationship, or quite literally all relationships in the show get a proper build up, but Bonnie and Enzo just get a time skip and a few flash back scenes? We deserved better, Bonnie and Enzo deserved better than that.

Adolescence

Wow, this is a masterpiece. Kids facing on computer, not yet grown enough, look pretty much unstable school life increase the fear for the parents. Stephan Graham, a Swedish looking, as a father, shows his awkward attitude and tries to behave as a good to his son. His son, Owen Copper plays well this imbalanced kid. Quite a boy but it is not so according to the case appeared and revealed as episodes continues. The case throws the heavy and dense pressure to the police officers and social workers, and it could happen everywhere in this world.

Luckily it is a mini series program and good length to watch, gives you a certain thinking time for the open ending.

FTX lawyers have been making moves regarding lawsuits against crypto influencers and celebrities hired to promote the exchange during the height of its operations. However, the exchange looks to be finding other ways out of these legal disputes by choosing to settle with these influencers. Proposed Settlements With Other Defendants In the aftermath of FTX’s failure, lawyers came after a flurry of celebrities who had promoted the exchange in attempts to recover funds from various sources. Popular names, including Shaquille O’Neal, Tom Brady, Steph Curry, and Naomi Osaka, were named as potential defendants in the lawsuit. Crypto YouTube influencers named as defendants were BitBoy Crypto (Ben Armstrong) Graham Stephan, Ben Armstrong, Andrei Jikh, and Jaspreet Singh. Of those named by FTX, crypto influencer Ben Armstrong, popularly known as BitBoy, has been dismissed from the lawsuit as a defendant.  This was revealed in a court filing that showed that FTX lawyers have voluntarily dismissed claims against Armstrong, as the influencer failed to file an answer to the allegations brought against him. This has led to concerns from the crypto community of a negative impact on the prices of these cryptocurrencies. All of this comes as former CEO Bankman-Fried is also set to be tried in court starting on October 3 for eight charges brought against him. The founder has continuously asked to be freed prior to his trial to aid in his defense preparation. However, the court has denied him every time. I can respect the fact that on Selling Sunset, a lot of the realtors (Mary for example) have actually been working in the industry for a long time and have worked their way up. They didn’t go looking for reality tv fame it came to their doorstep via Adam DiVello literally knocking on the door and they’ve monopolised that to gain further reach.

But with the new crop of OC realtors, it’s harder to take them seriously or even find them likeable because it’s blatantly obvious that they were all seduced to join the Oppenheim Group, not because of the real estate industry or their desire to be respected in their field, but because of the show and the notoriety it can potentially bring. The level of narcissism that’s wafting from this new group is already turning me off.

Even the episode of SS where they first appeared at Jason’s house party and the OC crew were throwing down the gauntlet like “yeah we’ve got a better office” what I loved was when one of the OG SS ladies literally threw it back in their face like “yeah just remember it was our success that got you that office”

It’s like SS is the older generation that believe in doing a days work and earning the things you want, and OC is the younger ‘influencer’ generation that walk around with their hand out believing they’re entitled to everything while contributing little effort or anything of substance to the world they live in.

keep in mind the show itself doesn't actually portray anything remotely close to how their business actually runs.

for example, i think one of the most hardworking agents at the OG office is probably graham stephan but i guarantee most of you all don't know who he is, or if you did, you didn't know he worked for the oppenheim group.

so while i appreciate this analysis (and the flood of analytical messages I've gotten this past day), i don't think a lot of what you're saying is grounded in objectivity.

when it comes down to it, the optics for the show are likely just optics to us but there's so much going on behind the scenes that we don't know. sean palmieri was introduced in the last season of selling sunset before we knew he was going to be a main 'character' in selling the oc, but people who are just jumping on the train to hate watch selling the oc wouldn't know that. he was just an agent that jason and brett knew through their dealings in the oc. they had/have their reasons for taking on all these supposedly "junior" agents in our eyes but likely these people have the connections they need (unfortunately) to be successful in the oc.

it's not like the selling sunset ladies were oozing professionalism either lol. speaking as somebody who actively watched/watches selling sunset LMAO

Smutty Blog Introduction

Hello fellow earthlings! I’ve been debating for a while now on whether or not to become more active on this platform. Given the short nature (ish) of the content here, it seems like a good option given that I’m currently quite busy with Uni and other life stuff in general, but still feel that writer’s itch and wish to write down thoughts and ideas to explore some creative avenues. Now, for that to happen, I’m more than happy to take requests, given that I’m a part of quite a few fandoms. One thing I did during quarantine was get my money right. I thought I was “okay” with money before but now looking back, I knew nothing about financial literacy and planning for the future. They don’t teach this stuff in schools. My parents didn’t really ingrain this stuff in me other than being frugal. The past year has just shown me that we need to be prepared for anything and that nothing is guaranteed. 

Especially help from the government. We have to be prepared to handle emergencies and unexpected events because when we need it most, more often than not, the government will not be there to help us, keep a roof over our heads, or provide life-saving health care if we need it. We are on our own. We got one $1200 check 6 months ago and they said ok cool bye.

And especially for first-generation children of immigrants, we can’t rely on the same generational wealth that our more privileged peers have. We have multi-generational families and aging parents to take care of. We need to build our own legacies and systems to take care of our people, communities, and causes that we care about. My favorite financial educator @heyberna said it best, “Budgeting is my favorite political tool. Money is the language of power in this crappy world. This is why we budget. So you and I can confidently do something, anything, when it really really matters.” 

I used to be a shopping addict and also used credit to get by when I was earning less at the start of my career. I racked up serious debt in the past from emotional spending and living beyond my means and didn’t have real goals for the future until I met Andy. Quarantine also helped me put what was really important to me in perspective. I’m not going out anymore so clothes and shoes really don’t matter. I purged my closet and took everything to Crossroads. I don’t need to put my value in the stuff I own or wear because my goals are clear. Financial independence!

Things that happened in 2020 that made me take money more seriously:

idk a global pandemic and resulting recession 

mutual aid organizations needed donations to meet the needs of communities hurt by racial injustice 

i discovered many financial educators and literacy advocates on instagram and youtube and learned a TON

my old 401k lost a lot of value when the markets crashed

my job as a contractor almost ended in March and again in November

friends were losing their jobs

insane wildfires in Oregon only 15 miles away

relationship started to get more serious

i got house fever while WFH

Changes I made in 2020 to better prepare for the future:

paid off all my outstanding credit card debt

aggressively paid off my car loan to be debt free 

figured out all my necessary expenses and budgeted what I would do with each paycheck 

established a fully funded 3 month emergency fund, will expand to 6 months at some point

divested all my money from the devil Wells Fargo and into a local community credit union

opened a first time homebuyer savings account with my credit union to save for a downpayment during the next 2.5 years 

started high yield savings accounts to save for travel and a wedding

will max out my Roth IRA by the end of 2020

opened and will max out my HSA by the end of 2020, will use this $ in the future when we have a baby

learned a TON about investing and opened my first brokerage account to start investing in index funds. make your money grow for you!
